I'm going to hold on the missing scene question, because someone else also asked that, so I'll do it in the next post.

The "Wow I Want to Write Like That" fic, is "The Angel's Choice" by @ikeromantic (which I will endlessly promote, because I love it so much). It's a noir AU, and AUs are incredibly difficult for me to write, so I'm always envious at people who can do them really well. This story captures the noir atmosphere, as well as casts the Ikesen Warlords in this Universe perfectly. And on top of that, it's a great mystery that kept me guessing all the way through. It doesn't hurt that Shingen and Yoshimoto are the main characters.

not reading any guides and somehow he always tops dps

loves PvP, but at the same time he's hardcore raider

Character Opinion Bingo!

So, I may have misread Mitsun as 'Mitsus' and thought you meant both of them, so I did both, bc I'm overachieving like that. Whoops.

Also, am not careful at all when it comes to route spoilers, so spoiler warnings for all of the above-mentioned characters.

Nobu:

So Cool Looking: idk, something about that black and white color scheme with the pop of red just does it for me.

Afraid of him: Warlord that takes and does what he wants. There is a reason he's feared. His photographic memory is also terrifying.

In a handbag: I wanna carry all of them in a handbag, this should have been a free space for me.

Wow! He's a Horrible Person!: Is a warlord so it comes with the territory, but I also hate that in his ms (it happens in his act 2 too) he does not explain his reasonings to MC at first for why he has to kill a guy that was trying to kill her in the hot springs chapter (that he took her on, forcibly so). Not even a 'hey, that guy was trying to kill you, I had to act fast before he could do just that.' And let's not forget the 'Drink from your lips' scene when we first meet him. And the Strip Go.

Better as a Dynamic: Not that he can't function on his own, but he's a lot more fun when he's playing off of others, esp when it involves konpeito escapades, like in Hideyoshi's route, or in one of his bday events where he was in a three-way horse-mounted battle with Shingen and Kenshin over trying to reach a village with the last supply of the sugary treat. Or really any event where all the warlords are gathered together to do stupid shit. That's always fun.

Marry them: He's really nice and helpful, I'd be cool with entering a romantic partnership with him.

Blorbo: If cybird won't love him, I will <3

Deeper than they seem: Momsona on the surface, deep underlying insecurities about hurting others when (not if, definitely when, in his mind) he has inevitably to leave them behind because of his loyalties to Nobunaga and his cause. Plus a past he isn't proud of despite it helping to mold him into the person he is today.

Projecting my own issues: Yeah, that.

Got done dirty: Pls stop writing him off as 'Team Mom', both y'all. Not cute.

why they look like that: Sensei has too many details on him that are a bitch to figure out when drawing. Also, yes, he has complementary colors, but he's got Christmas colors in his casual clothes, sheesh.

Better as a dynamic: Team Mom has to have kids to parent after all. He's usually a part of gossip groups with MC, Masa, Ieyasu, and Mitsun, calling out Mitsuhide on his shit, Nobu worship but still parents him too.

Done nothing wrong in his life: Hideyoshi is a good boy and I stand by that statement.

Like a blorbo: He pretty much is a blorbo.

Projecting my own issues: Also, that.

Don't have much to say: He's a sweet boy that's got some insecurity issues. Not much deeper than that.

Literally me: Yeah, getting lost in certain tasks to the point of oblivion is also me.

Never done anything wrong: Precious boy that can do no wrong <3

Wasted potential: His route could have been a shit ton darker and his MC could have been better if she had been written more as his equal.

Afraid of him: Too much anxiety about teasings and pranks.

Blorbo: I will mold him how I want to, because I say so.

Projecting: A few, yes.

Got done dirty: A stronger MC probably would have helped, someone that could stand more toe to toe with him, more on equal footing. Much as I love him finding her after Yoshiaki is mean to her scene, all the guy did was say some mean words to her, really. Could have roughed her up a bit more, imo. (ikeromantic does the scene better in their ongoing Mitsuhide fic, imo). The scene with Hideyoshi after MC sees Mitsu doing dirty deeds still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Really, all this could be solved if he was allowed to kiss Hideyoshi He's full of good ideas but just needs some help on the execution.

Horrible person: See above-mentioned scene with Hideyoshi and MC. And how often he does the self-sacrifice thing when he's told not to do that. And stop being a jealous ho with Yoshimoto, you know MC only has eyes for you, dumb butt.

Better as a dynamic: Really, all this could be solved if he just kissed Hideyoshi already. Or Masa, I'm sure he'd be down for it.

Wasted potential: Please let him experience negative emotions. Friend threatening your girlfriend usually means friendship over, I'm sorry bro. Plus there could have been more interaction in Will's route too because you're supposed to be close friends, right?

Marry them: Sweet darling dear, I'm cool with a romantic relationship with you.

Wine [Ikesen Nobunaga x Kichou]

I dunno, mate. I saw this fic by @sosutease and thought. “Hey, I love the thought of Kichou having a sister whom he adores. But make it angsty!”

Also, Kichou and MC are somehow at Azuchi Castle at the same time. Don’t ask.

Kicho stood by the sliding door, taking in the sight of Nobunaga clearing away his goban. Clearly, Mitsuhide's little mouse had been around, no doubt having been invited by their master to play a game of Go.

A rat would have been more appropriate for one sneaking around somebody else's den.

Kicho brushed away his bangs and entered the room silently, gracefully. Even if irritation slid off his shoulders in waves, his face would remain tranquil. 

The waters shall remain undisturbed, not a ripple in sight.

It was Nobunaga who broke the silence, merry and cheeks slightly flushed.

"Kicho. At least you could've—"

"You were drinking."

Nobunaga pursed his lips.

Ah, there it was, Kichou's signature acerbity. If Hideyoshi had been stern, then Kichou was vicious. He was blessed with the sort of venom only a child of Saito could have. 

Always a viper's progeny. Nobunaga mused.

The warm summer air suddenly took a chilly turn as Nobunaga wondered whether he should trail a hand over Kicho's leg to change the mood.

"You were drinking with her," Kicho hissed, his lusterless face betraying the anger coiling under his skin.

"I've been drinking with her for a few nights now," Nobunaga answered. "Why are you only jealous now?"

Nobunaga was no fool. He knew when to tease and when to be severe.  Being with Kicho was a balancing act — tip the balance a little too far, and he'd make you wish you had never set foot in the Castle.

They were all grown men. Hideyoshi would've shrugged and direct his attention toward anything else, and Mitsuhide would've laughed it off, as he always did.

(Then again, they were cousins. No argument could prevent them from flocking together again and scoff at other warlords. Especially Ranmaru.)

But Nobunaga wasn't just any other warlord. There was a part of Kichou lodged somewhere in his meager excuse for a heart. Whenever Kichou showed even a hint of pain, that part ached too.

(None of the women he fell into bed with made him feel this way before. Was it because he and Kichou were comrades in the loosest sense of the word?)

"Come sit with me," Nobunaga gestured calmly. "You haven't been yourself these past few days."

The other man trembled. Had he been found out? Was it time to finally confess to Lord Nobunaga about the letters? Would he not regret it afterward?

"Milord," Kicho whispered as he lowered himself. "Forgive me."

There was uncertainty behind his bloodshot eyes.

"Apology accepted," Nobunaga sighed. "Now, speak."

Kicho sat unmoving as he stared at his whitening knuckles. If this were his father, he would have.....

He would have......

The last thing Kicho wanted was to be at Inabayama, where his father's spies lurked in the shadows, like rats at the edge of his futon.

The man was long gone, but the thought of the man alone left a bitter taste on Kicho's tongue

Brother. The letter from his sister read, Why are you still letting that barbarian govern Mino and our people? Do not waste away at that monster's side. Come back to us and reclaim Father's seat as Inabayama's lord.

Then, rescue me from my husband so we can all live together again.

The letters flooded into Kichou's room like reports from the battlefield. His sister kept feeding him with stories of their hypothetical life: one in which they would all live together. In her letters, his sister imagined marrying a man she'd love, which Kichou did pray for.

Then, she began suggesting d that Kicho leave Azuchi behind to start his own family. Renew their family, as she said.

The first time, Kicho paid these letters no heed and resumed his work. But her letters kept growing in numbers, and Kichou could no longer ignore the frantic plea in his sister's words.

Save me. Kicho's sister wrote in her latest message. Then two lines before it: Oda must have plenty of concubines. I can imagine some of them pregnant while the monster himself plays around with more. Say, brother. If he's allowed to leave behind some of his wretched spawn, why not have your own?

If he can have his women, then so can you.

It was a mistake to read it this evening, knowing Nobunaga could summon him to the tenshu if he so wished. And then, Kichou was unfortunate enough to meet the seamstress on his way upstairs.

The rat had been the one unfortunate enough to encounter Kichou at such a state. There was fear in her eyes as she tried to slip away to Mitsuhide's quarters.

Kicho sighed and stretched his hand to take a cup. "Never mind. Will you pass me some sake?"

It took seconds for Kicho to realize that Nobunaga never prepared a spare cup when he was around. 

It took another second for him to realize that Nobunaga's sullen face was only inches away from his face.

God, I wish, Kicho gulped. I could get drunk to the taste of his breath all the time.

He flinched as Nobunaga began to tug at the neckline of his kimono before pressing warm fingers onto his skin.

"If you refuse to talk," Nobunaga whispered against his reddening ear. "Then we'll just have to loosen you up."

Kicho didn't yelp, didn't speak as the other man pressed him against the hardwood floor.

Stars above, let me not think, just this once. Kicho thought as the taste of rice wine invaded his mouth. Let me have this, if only for a while.

Okay, Kicho turned out meaner than I was planning. But I enjoy writing mean characters tho not as much as I leave angst.

10. Which route are you looking forward to the most?

Hmm, well I’ve played most routes already so this is tough. I’m in the middle of Yukimura’s route right now, and I was really looking forward to him because of the blushing and the eagerness lmao I’m easy. Of the routes I haven’t played (Mitsunari, Sasuke, and Kennyo), I think I’m looking forward to Kennyo the most; which is surprising because I really didn’t have any hype for him until his route came out! Now I’m pretty stoked for him, he seems really sweet and I’m excited to discover more. For new routes, I’m the most looking forward to Yoshimoto for sure, because I already know I’m going to be hit with a feels train. ALSO, I’m planning on replaying Masamune’s route when I’m done with all of the suitors; his was the first route I played, and I think I was a little too overwhelmed by him to really enjoy it (I also wasn’t paying for premium stories back then, and now I’m a big simp so 💁🏻‍♀️). I love his character a lot more now, and I’m ready to be swept off my feet!

18. Which warlord is the most romantic one in your opinion?

My number one pick is definitely Mitsuhide (don’t EVEN @ me, I know nobody is surprised lol); I just can’t get over how his route totally blindsided me with how secretly emotional and in love he is. He’d be a big tease but everybody knows that he’s head over heels and I know for a fact that he gets emotional in bed bc he’s too in love 😤 However, I also think that Nobunaga has a lot of romantic potential (idk if that was always shown in his route, maybe it’s just a headcanon of mine), I can definitely see him being surprising with how much he openly shows that he’s in love. I mean, he’s a powerful man and that means the person who has his heart is going to get the full force of that intensity focused on them.

22. Most surprising thing you learned about any of the warlords?

I’m going to list a few things below the cut (even though I’m sure everyone knows these facts by now), possibly a bit spoiler-y for Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Mitsuhide, Masamune, and Yukimura if you haven’t played them!

Nobunaga is ticklish??? That is too fucking good to be true, you BET that I would be using that against his smug self at every damn opportunity, you bet

Hideyoshi smoking is honestly one of the single hottest things about him (yes I know it’s not healthy shH); I don’t know why I love it so much, but I do

Mitsuhide literally fucking crying at MC’s bedside like!!!! My heart wasn’t ready, I’m still shook by that; my man feels and I love it wow. A strong, seemingly-emotionless character breaking down is one of my favourite tropes and I will die on that hill (I love him, I LOVE him)

Masamune passing out after one drink is hilarious, like how is that possible?? How did that even happen??? Did he have one wild night of drinking that absolutely ruined his liver forever, I need to know

Lastly, Yukimura fucking MC on the ground in a literal forest for the first time. I’m not over that. How can such a BLUSHY man be such a beast? I don’t know but believe me when I tell you that yes, I would also fuck Yukimura in the woods and enjoy it

“Hey why do you never drink with us at banquets?”

“Because, Sasuke when I drink, Patricia comes out, and no one wants that to happen.” ლ,ᔑ•ﺪ͟͠•ᔐ.ლ

“Patricia?” ( ⚆ _ ⚆ )

“Yeah apparently that’s the name I give myself when I’m drunk, plus when she comes out, I have a tendency to do stupid, embarrassing shit.”  

For example one night Patritia thought it would be a good idea to climb up out universities roof at three in the moring, well long story short i fell and broke my leg so..... Patritia aint the best of influences (ㆆᴗㆆ)

Fast forward 2 hours…… and 10 drinks later

Sasuke and Yuki were watching you traumatise Kenshin （・Ａ・）

“Wow your cape is so soft and fluffy I freaken love it!” (◕‿◕✿)

“Hey Kenshin, Hey Kenshin is that why bunnies follow you cause you are so cute and fluffy.” (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Cue Sasuke stepping in and saving his lord from you chatting his ears off and stroking the fur on his fluffy cape ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ

The two of you stood on opposite sides of the garden and started singing Sweet Caroline

“Hands, Touching hands.”

“Reaching out.”

“Touching me.”

“Touching you.”

When the two of you are drunk any idea is a good idea, and at that moment slashing around in the fountain seemed like the best idea in the world

Cue both of you splashing and playing in the fountain

After a while the two of you got tired and decided to lay on the grass together and look up at the stars

You looked at you wrinkly fingers “Hey, Sasuke I have a super serious question.” (▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)

“How come only your fingers and toes get wrinkly in the shower, and nothing else does?” ⚆ _ ⚆

Cue the two of you breaking out in laughter but then eventually passing out  (/◕ヮ◕)/

Cue poor Yuki finding his two soaking wet drunk friends finally tired out on the grass

You and Yuki loved to compete with each other and out drinking each other at banquets was no exception

Before Yukimura can sulk about his defeat you are already pulling him up and dragging him to the dance floor

You break out in laughter at Yuki’s, awkward, clumsy movements, not that yours are any better

At some point in the evening the two of you discuss the best prank to pull on Kenshin (☞ﾟヮﾟ)☞ ☜(ﾟヮﾟ☜)

That’s when Sasuke steps up to the plate to become the mom friend, I think its time to cut the two of you off ಠ_ಠ

Cue you hopping on one leg in a circle

“See would a drunk person be able to do this.”

At some point in the night he lost track of you

He finally spotted you playing go with Nobunaga (ʘ‿ʘ)

He neared you and his lord and his eyes widened, the two of you were playing strip go (◯Δ◯∥)

“Dearest me, It seems I will just have to join in and win.”

The three of you play strip go until Nobunaga passes out with nothing but his underwear on, Mitsu breathed a sigh of relief this game was really getting out of hand (´ε｀；)

Mitsu was the only one who still had all of his clothes on, and luckily for you, nothing too vital has been taken off

“It would seem little mouse that we are the only two left, shall we continue this strange game back home?” (｡◕‿◕｡)

Before you could even respond, he effortlessly picks you up and throws you over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes

“Miiitsuuuuu lemi dowwwwwwn.” ⊙０⊙

“We are almost home my feisty little mouse”, Mitsuhide can’t help but chuckle and shake his head at his drunk troublesome little mouse

Mitsuhide narrowed his eyes you have been quiet for way too long, “Seems like you finally tired yourself out little one.” 

He tucks you into bed and quickly changes into his sleepwear, by the time he gets back to the futon, he sees you sprawled out over the whole futon happily snoring away. (✿◠‿◠)

The next morning you wake up with a splitting headache, “uuuuugghhh what happened last night.”

Mitsu couldn’t help but give you his classic sneki smile while replaying the events of the night for you in great detail. (◡‿◡✿)

You had a good buzz going, Nobunga had brought some fancy alcohol back from his trip to the Portuguese traders

Finally, the two of you had convinced Hideyoshi to join, you handed him the shot of tequila and some lemon and salt, and before you knew it both of you had a good buzz going

Honestly, you were starting to feel hot in you fancy princess kimono, so you did what anyone would do

Your eyes widened as you lifted the cover slightly to see that you were not the only one who was naked (⊙＿⊙)

Needless to say the two of you were most definitely not brother and sister anymore (¬‿¬)

The Straw Finally Broke the Camel’s Back

English team for IkeSen has done a very good job this time. They totally turned me off. I feel so pissed and disgusted (have calmed down somewhat but still pissed).

The current hot spring story event was the last straw. I had complained about their pathetic fevers for past events (because it really bothered me). This time was no different, but it was made worse. Not only is it still the usual 3 pathetic fevers, they had actually reduced the duration for the first 2 fevers; it’s now only 12 hours long instead of the usual full 24 hours. Wow. Seriously?? Like as though they think 3 fevers is too much, so they now reduce the duration! Amazing! Who thought of that idea?? They must have saw this event as a good chance to make even more money, because hey, we have topless warlords this time, so fans are gonna go crazy. LET’S USE THIS CHANCE TO GRAB MORE MONEY.

Yes, sure, Cybird is a business. They need to make money. But I don’t see JP and TW pulling this kind of stunt? Always generous with fevers (and also more competitive, although that is more on the JP side).

I had initially planned to at least ECB for the background (even though I had full clear the event in TW IkeSen), but once I realised they went and reduced the fever duration, any little motivation I had flat-lined. No joke. So I’m only gonna play one route and that is Kenshin’s, and it will be F2P.

I also told myself that I will no longer support EN IkeSen with my money. I will be a F2P now. As for my money? Probably go to TW IkeSen instead. Likely gonna make that my main account now too.

Now I wonder if EN IkeRev will be the next. Wouldn’t be surprised, yeah?

Your place in the war council had changed. In fact, you used to sit at the farthest corner of the room; a presence welcomed but not entirely needed, allowable only because Nobunaga's orders were absolute. You were his favourite, and until his deathbed, he called you his lucky charm.

Now you sit on the dais, a little to the right of the man you would sacrifice your life for. You should have known the years would change you (you knew what would happen, after all), but  never did you imagine how reality would come to play.

As if time traveling was absurd enough, you were now somehow the wife of the first leader of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

Sasuke, bless his wandering soul, would be proud.

正しい時代

You remember how this timeline began: with your eyes wide open.

"Princess, can I come in?"

Sasuke's dulcet tones seemed to make the candle flicker. Your world re-orients, and suddenly, you understand. You had already attempted to sleep, but despite your fatigue the darkness wouldn't come. When you glanced upwards, the roof panel was slightly open.

"Sasuke?"

The ninja jumped down, landing with grace, taking a sitting position next to your futon.

You sit up and sigh.

"I'm..." You search for the words to say, hoping he would understand. "I just woke up."

At first, he is nonplussed. "I apologise for my intrusion, then."

You blink at him, and shake your head. Your sigh is of someone carrying a great weight. You place your hand on your heart, and try to block the memories of everything you've left behind. It's easier this time, somehow. Today, you have just awoken, and you need to determine who you—

The answer clicks.

"I'm finally here, Sasuke," you breathe in relief, but your best friend just stares at you blankly.

Until - "Oh," he says. He readjusts his glasses and you know the numbers are running through his head.

"Tadaima," you try again.

Sasuke nods, but his face is grim. "Welcome back."

When Nobunaga dies, even you are surprised. You had grown so used to him being immutable, you were sure he would outlast all of you. But not even he could outrun death, especially when it came so swiftly, and in the form of the powerful sea.

You still remember his face, how confident he seemed in his polished black armour, a large ship in the background. His haori billowed behind him, and he looked every bit the regal warlord you thought you would only see in history books.

But over time, your knowledge of him had become so personal, almost like family; that when he descends his horse to pat your head you even have to resist the urge to embrace him.

"Take care of Azuchi, my lucky charm," he tells you, as if you are one of his retainers with enough power to command his armies. No one questions him; if he willed that, everyone knew it could be so. His large hand ruffles your hair and then tilts your chin—you allow it with a small smile, but only because you knew someone else wouldn't.

"That's enough," Ieyasu steps in, with a frown meant to warn, but they all knew it would only make Nobunaga amused.

True enough, he laughs. "I will miss seeing new expressions from you, Ieyasu," he says, and in a rare show of affection, he also pats the blonde's hair and ruffles it. He walks away, then, and with his back turned, "I'll leave everything up to you."

Ieyasu nods. "I understand."

You watch him climb the plank to ascend the ship. When the sailors shout their final call, Nobunaga is on the deck, high above you, the rising sun reflecting on his dark hair with an orange sheen. His crimson eyes glint with the excitement of an explorer, and you think, this is how you'd like to remember him, the Devil King of the Sixth Heaven, for all he was feared, was also just a boy with a dream: to see new things, to travel far and wide, to go beyond the borders of his world and live.

Ieyasu glances at you. He slowly moves to take your hand.

"He'll come back," he says softly at first, then, with his usual sarcasm, "He'll be back in no time, and we'll be running ragged around the castle again."

You want to laugh, because you know these words comforted you the first time.

Instead, your grip is tighter as he entwines your fingers.

"That place Nobunaga went to," Ieyasu's whisper is raw during the nighttime; he is usually more honest after lovemaking, and you take every pillow talk as an opportunity to read him like an open book. He caresses your bare shoulder and continues, "Kankoku, was it. Did he..."

Your breath hitches. Ieyasu has made it a personal principle never to ask you about the future, but his repressed concern for Nobunaga could match Hideyoshi's on a bad day. In the fresh wake of Nobunaga's absence, you deem this is a bad day as any. He senses your stillness, however, and decides not to continue.

Once before, you let this moment pass. You distracted him by moving closer and drawing him in, your tongue languidly asking for an entrance you knew he would gladly give.

Weeks later, however, when the news came, you saw him look at you, his once bright eyes the color of a dark forest, asking—and though he would never admit it, blaming.

You cannot go through that again.

"This timeline is different," you say instead, hoping the truth in your answer would satisfy him enough. You choose your next words carefully. "In the future... the one that I originally came from, it was Hideyoshi who ventured outside the country."

Because Nobunaga was already dead, was the unspoken context. Because I wasn't there to save him.

Ieyasu traces circles on the area where your shoulder meet your neck, and you resist shuddering at the pleasure. "I suppose it doesn't matter," he murmurs as a reply, and when his lips replace his fingers, you know he will not ask anymore.

You wish you could say the same.

Hideyoshi mourns like no other when a sailor returns to say that their ship had capsized against a great wave.

Nobunaga's body was nowhere to be found.

Azuchi should be in chaos, but you steel yourself and follow Nobunaga's final will to the dot, even if you had to let Ieyasu translate half the complicated kanji the letter was written in.

Somehow, as if he had known what was going to happen, Nobunaga had sent a letter to his chateleine before boarding the ship, perhaps as a precaution, with orders to open it only if unpleasant news arrived.

His final letter to you included instructions on how to manage the castle permanently in his absence. Not just the castle; it also included new laws to be applied to the free market, an updated taxation scheme for the residents, and discrete orders to let Hideyoshi return to his fief until he calmed down.

No one else but you will be able to tell him it came from me, even Nobunaga's handwriting was lordly, and with a hint of nostalgia, you could imagine him penning this message with a smirk on his face. He will believe no one else. Ieyasu will take charge of my domain and my conquests for the rest of the year. Then, have Hideyoshi return and he will know what to do to succeed my will.

Ieyasu, for the most part, did everything Nobunaga asked with begrudging acceptance, but you knew that deep inside his heart swelled with pride to be chosen to lead. Ieyasu was a fine lord, through and through, and while you watched him hold a war council, finally taking Nobunaga's position on the dais, you felt a swell of affection so overwhelming it needed to be expressed.

That evening, you take Ieyasu's face into your hands and lean in for what was once your last kiss. You pull away a second earlier than you would have liked, and with the knowledge of one who has gone through time, push Ieyasu to the ground as a kunai whizzes past.

"Grab your sword," you tell him, dropping to a roll to get to the other side of the room. A bow and arrow sit on display and you swiftly grab the set, make the form of an archer, and shoot beyond the door. A dead body slumps beyond the shoji, and you hear quick footsteps rush around the house, making the torches flicker wildly. For a moment, it reminds you of your awakening.

"There are four of them, but only two are after you," you tell Ieyasu, bow locked and ready as the two of you step outside. The frown on his face is as much for you as it is for the situation, and you know you will have some explaining to do later.

The two of you huddle on the corridor, back to back, Ieyasu with his sword out and your body tense, arrow ready to fire. A figure clad in black rushes from the trees, hand raised with a knife, and you are not fast enough — but Ieyasu is.

His katana slices the man's arm cleanly and the blood gushes like a waterfall, and the assassin screams until Ieyasu pierces his stomach.

Pulling his sword out, Ieyasu huffs as the man crumples to the ground. He flicks the blood away with a single movement. "You said there were four."

Your eyes scan the surroundings, but your stance relaxes. If you remember correctly... "Masamune will take care of the other two."

True enough, as if he was called, the One Eyed Dragon of Oshu rushes to the scene, twin swords out and face wild with adrenaline.

He is panting when he gets to you, but you do not miss the worried way he gives Ieyasu a once-over before his eyes settle on the entire scene. He takes note of your bow and the first assassin with an arrow sticking out of his chest.

"Wow, nice aim, Princess," Masamune says with a whistle. Then, with a feral grin, "So, what did I miss?"

You almost laugh in relief, but you bite your lip because Ieyasu does not look happy at either of you. He scowls as he puts his sword inside its sheath.

"You're explaining this. Now," he says matter-of-factly, before practically stomping towards his quarters.

Your first urge is to comfort him, but you are like an unwound spring with how the tension leaves you all at once. You stare at the dark sky, remembering a different version of what happened tonight, trying to erase the vision of Ieyasu having a knife on his neck, bleeding on your bed.

The memory slowly fades, replaced by this one, and you realise you're doing something right.

Ieyasu turns around when he notices you aren't quick to follow. Masamune also has his eyes on you, and you wish you could answer all their questions at once.

Instead, you say, "We have to unite Japan."

The silence is overbearing after your statement; Ieyasu stares at you, his expression unreadable, but later you realise he might've been looking at you like you were mad.

Still, you continue; this time, with your eyes piercing his.

"Become Shogun, Ieyasu."

The conundrum is understandable. You and he changed history enough for the world to change.

"There are two ways to go about this," Sasuke has been working on this issue for longer than you were even here. "We either forget all of this happened, go back to our time, and live life as usual."

Basically, return things as they were.

The ninja stared at you—if it were that easy for your human hearts, he would have already suggested this plan ages ago.

"However, with our," he coughs, "attachments, to this timeline, I surmise neither of us would like this to occur. Hence, we must find a way to restore history's course despite our wish to remain here. Else, the consequences to the future may be disastrous."

You decide to take a risk and ask. "How disastrous?"

"We could change Japan as we know it." He senses you want him to continue, so he does. "The Azuchi-Momoyama transitioning to the Edo period was a game changer in Japanese history. The Tokugawa Shogunate developed many laws and cultural traditions that served as the stepping stone in creating what we know as modern Japan, also affecting, in turn, Japan's influence on the world."

"So, do you mean, as long as the laws and traditions are the same, everything should work out fine?"

"Unfortunately, it's not that simple. The context of why those laws and traditions are in place are also important, as is the attitude of the Japanese people towards them. It would be useless to implement any law if people didn't see why they were needed at the time."

In simple words, Sasuke was telling you that suggesting those laws to Nobunaga and having him implement it wasn't the same as having it implemented in the context of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

You find yourself sighing. "This is because of the Battle of Sekigahara, isn't it," You strive to remember what made that battle important... then it hits you. "The outcome of that war. It conclusively shifted the power of the daimyos."

Sasuke seemed proud you remembered some of your high school history. "Yes, and it was the first ever Shogunate to unify Japan as one."

You nod. "And without the tax, market and law reforms of the Tokugawa era, Japan would never have gone into seclusion and built up its economy."

"Exactly. Foreign influence would spread much earlier than it originally did. This could change the Japanese mindset immensely... whether for better or for worse, we wouldn't know."

"But it would change." It was starting to dawn on you, how selfish it really was to want to stay. "All because we're here."

The thin purse of Sasuke's lips were enough to tell you that he didn't take this matter lightly. His—no, your—beloved history, everything that you loved about modern Japan in 2019, all of that could be gone because you decided to fall in love in the Sengoku era.

All I was concerned about was myself and how I wanted to stay, you chided yourself. A part of you believed everything would work out, but that was naive. Since you decided to remain permanently in this era, you would never know what Japan would be like 500 years from now, but that was just washing your hands of the guilt that the truth brought:

You changed history. Permanently. In effect, you may have changed the fate of the entirety of Japan and its contributions to the entire world, permanently.

Sasuke breaks your inner monologue. "I may have found a way to ensure we stick as close to the original timeline, however."

"Go ahead, I'm listening."

"Well, the conclusion I've arrived to is simple enough," Sasuke's eyes are shining now, and you know he only looks this bright when he talks about — "The Tokugawa Shogunate needs to happen." 

He looks at you meaningfully. 

"Ieyasu needs to be Shogun."

It sounded straightforward enough. With a new resolution, you nod to Sasuke's suggestion.

"I'll stay by his side until he becomes Shogun, then."

You have never regretted those words, but sometimes you wonder if there is a timeline where you had.

"Become Shogun, Ieyasu."

You think the silence will drag out, that this will only confuse them more instead of make sense, but Ieyasu only steps forward and sighs.

"Alright."

Ok personal opinion and probably unpopular but maybe its bc ive been distracted the past several days playing kenshins route, but i feel that the romance is going too fast HAHA or maybe bc im someone who likes it slow but i feel that for someone like kenshin who had many barriers to women, for ikesen mc to touch him so fast is kind of weird hmm. I mean i get that kenshin gave 11/10 life advice to ikesen mc allowing her to live the way she wants to and that allowed her to gain the trust of the oda warlords. And in essence, ikesen mc saw a different side of kenshin (that hes more than just a war crazed monster) which probably moved kenshin. But still i dont get why kenshin will have this complete shift of "idgaf to this mc" to "fking hell im so possessive and i want her to be happy" right? Ok fine ikesen mc says a lot of troubling things to kenshin that touches him a lot. When that event with sasuke happened, ikesen mc (me HAHA) proved that she's someone different and special by igniting hope in kenshin. But still i think their interactions are too little for love to blossom? I mean when they saw each other as completely platonic at the start right? Ok idk HAHA hmm but

Got this drawing from my best friend, Ai-chan, an Otaku who never play any otome game but all over anime and manga. She said she doesn’t into Yandere type but somehow always pick up Yandere guys first. So I deeply believe she was destined to be with Yandere. When I show her Ikesen warlords’ pictures, she was like “Awww~~~ I love this dude! His odd-color eyes, hair and blue sky color theme are cool! He seems gentle and kind like a prince! ❤️”

Yeah, everyone who read my blog definitely know it’s fight-loving Kenshin. I didn’t want to spoil her mood so I just told her Kenshin is a noble warlord who ride a white horse and pet a bunch of bunnies, we may consider him as a prince of Sengoku I guess 😬 Her (amateur) artist’s spirit was aroused by the words “The prince riding a white horse and bunny”, she scratched down on her drawing book while I was licking my soft cream. And she finished this drawing before I done with my soft cream!

has a glare like ice honestly, and tbh her voice is probably pretty high pitched compared to the others ;;; probably the one to give off the ~cute~ image but lowkey wants to murder you in your sleep

when she’s practicing archery, she suddenly becomes someone imposing

and when she gives you that pair of earrings she scowls, but blushes anyway and she has really good taste in jewelry

so you buy her this beautiful necklace and she honestly turns beet red

“well…… i guess i have to take it since you spent money on it…… but i wish you didn’t buy me things as useless as jewelry”

you see her wearing it like everyday after that tho

but you take heed and instead commission mitsunari to design a practical bracelet that helps with archery (idk maybe it holds arrows or smthn so she doesn’t have to reach elsewhere to pick one out to nock?) and ieyasu is so shook she can even overlook the fact that mitsunari designed it

when she kisses you, she has to stand on her tiptoes and sling one arm around your neck to pull you down. in any other situation it would be cute because “omg she’s so short” but in this situation like… “wow ieyasu that’s really hot” with the confidence with which she brings you to her level

she’s really outright with what she wants in bed. “no i don’t like that” or “yes, that feels perfect” are common phrases you’ll hear

she pays special attention to bringing you to climax. her brow furrows as she focuses on touching you in all your sweet spots

you’re drawn in by her almost immediately because her eyes are clever and kind

that one girl who all the boys follow around, but she doesn’t know that;;; she thinks that they all want war advice

you become fast friends as she teaches you to play go before u realize,, Oh Shit, I’ve Fallen for Her!

she has a laugh like bells honestly. so good. so pure

you have tea with her all the time but she’s SO BAD at making tea and apologizes profusely when you nearly throw up since it tastes like gasoline?? um??

it’s fine, because you make her these delicious dumplings and sew her a pretty new kimono which quickly becomes her favorite. she wears it to all the important war councils which makes her even more of a stunner among men tbh

on that note……. during war councils she goes from soft angel to confident war woman…… her eyes take on this sure and calculating gleam and it’s so hot you can hardly keep your hands off her when the council is over

she loves to hold you in bed and stroke your hair— you both always find yourselves laughing together, and her skin feels so soft against yours

Ikemen Sengoku - The best one of Otome game from CYBRID’s Ikemen Series

Since Ikesen English version was released on June 2017, no way the real Otome gamer’d miss it. In the other hand, the amateur me who’ve just stepped into this Otome world only for a year just knew and started playing it around the end of 2017, very late bird.

Anyhow after I’ve been playing for 2 months I found it is real good. Both artwork and story are just right to me. Plus there are many attractive things in this game. And I love it so much that can’t help but have to release my overflowing feeling by blabbing on this blog.

As I mentioned on my blog’s header, I’m not English speaker and still be a newbie blogger since this is my first English blog, so pls spare me for my weird English. Why I have to desperately wrote English blog then? The main reason is for my personal entertainment and creating a room to chat with my game’s pal who share the same interest with me. 

Okay, leave that boring things and let’s me tell my though of this amazing game.

Art : CG & Costumes

Ikesen’s art is gorgeous, painterly style artwork cached my eyes at first glance. Characters faces and body-build are balance and look good in every angles. In some Otoge, we’d found characters faces or organs look weird or creepy in some CG. I salute Yamashiro-sensei, an illustrator, for creating these fabulous work pieces. 

Costumes designs are very creative, not be boring conservative like the other Samurais Otoge. And still remain the hints for gamer to guess who they are by using clan’s crest. Each characters have their own themes and colors which perfectly match their personalities. There are 3 types of attire per character, casual kimono, formal attire and war suit. I heard Ikesen creative team hired Thai’s creative to help them for characters’ design. Wow, they really did it awesome 😎

Characters

This game is the one of CYBIRD’s Ikémen series, with a brand Ikemen, of course, all characters MUST be HOT & HANDSOME. There are 11 hotties for us to choose; 9 warlords, 1 ninja, and 1 abbot. Nine of them are Japan’s most famous Sengoku warlords who were real existed in Japanese history, excepted the part of hot and handsome. Most of them also appear as the characters in many manga, anime and games. 

Isn’t it sounds challenge and fun to conquer their heart?

Plot and Story

After accidentally went back to Japan’s Sengoku period in 1562 through the wormhole, MC saved Oda Nobunaga who nearly die in Honnoji Incident by chance. As the life-saver and lucky charm, MC earned the favor from him and was assigned to be a chatelaine of Azuchi castle, where MC were surrounded by those famous, hot and handsome Sengoku warlords. While struggling in this turbulent and war state period and waiting for a chance to back home, MC have to learn and does many things for the sake of survival. Even though she promised herself not to get too close to anyone, but the fate still bring her to him and fall in love. 

”Back to the past” plot seems non creative, but the story lines really are very interesting, nothing more or less. MC and love interest slowly developed their feeling in reasonable and acceptable way, made me moved so much. The writer did an impressive job to compress those details and emotional things into just 13 episodes.

My favorite part, erotic scenes are not that straight but still give a sexy, mature and alluring vibe. I found myself was attracted to their different charms and wanted to know them more and more. How nice we could have THINGS with various types of guys without a REAL physical relationship, so convenient. Plus, this is the Japanese famous WARLORDS we’re talking about, not typical guys who we could found anywhere.

Avatars Dressing for Fun and Points

As same as the other online Otoge, there is avatars for the player who love girly-doll-dressing in “Your Room”. The avatars here; avatar itself, attire, accessories, wallpaper and all decoration items are really awesome, very detailed and creative. We can get the regular items by buying them from shop and special limited items by joining the events which are held quite frequent. 

Not only your room but there is also a “Castle” where we can be with our suitor in adorable chibi form. every things are uber cute! (๑˃v<๑) Here we can get a lot of decorating items from gacha, standard items from daily free gacha and special limited items from events.

Advantage Thing

The most I love, character’s HOT VOICEs!! (๑>◡<๑) Normally we can hear his greeting in different 3 lines whenever we feel like by just push a speaker icon right at “His Room”. In his room we can set any guys as wallpaper even we are playing a different guy’s route, which mean we can two timing our suitor openly. When we passed the challenges in main or event story, he’ll appear in chibi form to praise or even give some gifts or rewards to us, sounds cool, isn’t it? （╹◡╹）Not only that, they are giving out some voice clips on occasions which we can save in our game’s memory to listen anytime we want. Hearing their hot and sexy voices in cheesy lines make my imagination gone wild (*≧∀≦*)

Negative Thing

The only minus point, it’s quite pricey if we compared to VOLTAGE’s which we can buy the whole main story including epilogue by the same amount, and just a half price when they hold a sale campaign. But for IkeSen, if we want to play in Premium, we have to spend around 27 USD for just 1 route!! (O_O) And if we want to play both Romantic and Dramatic route for 1 character, we need more 9 USD. Not to mention a lot of interesting and fun events which will release a ton side stories and items for our avatars. Most of them were free if we were the active players. But of course, we still have to pay for an Early Bird’s and premium epilogue stories anyway (⌒-⌒; )

Of course, this is basically a free game, if you don’t mind much about the longer and sweeter premium bonus stories, you can just go for the normal stories. But could you really just be satisfied by the normal stories? As my direct experience, it’s a real hard to resist their charms. Those hot and sexy warlords will enchant you to blindly fall for them. When you become to your sense again, both of your heart and purse were already robbed away. (´⊙ω⊙`) The most mysterious thing is you’d somehow can manage your money and continue this expensive hobby anyway.

That’s said and I still addict to this game. If you don’t want to fall hard, don’t dare to step in. I-WARNED-YOU-WITH-LOVE (^з^)-☆
