It's my take on idea of soul searching and the fact that at one point or the other each of us goes through this process, even if unknowingly. So often we adopt the views and goals of people and society around us, what media feeds us and the kind of life marketers sell. But is it really what we want? What we search? The moment you are starting to feel that maybe the way everyone says your life should be is not the way that makes you happy- is when you take off on a quest, following through 7 stages. 1. Stage one- Depletion. Recognizing depletion — you are trying to understand what is missing before you can retrieve it. 2. Stage two- Disconnection- you don't feel emotionally attached to your life. Like looking through blocked glares, you feel like distant observer. 3. Stage three- Letting go- letting go of the belief that there is only one correct way to live your life and only things that are supposed to make you happy are the ones that media and society promotes. 4. Stage four- Reflection- you begin to wonder what are the things that YOU truly want, what is your own idea of happiness. 5. Stage five- Storm You feel that the way ahead between where you are and where you feel you need to be is the sea you can't cross. It's daunting. 6. Stage six- Connection- finding a way of understanding your own self and listening to it. 7. Stage seven- Peace- he peaceful, joyful experience of who you are that you accept and get in sync with. You know who you are and what you want.
