I am not saying I don’t feel bad for Blitz, but he was the one who crossed crystal clear boundaries, then acted like SHE was a pain in the ass for not telling him where she was (making it about him) and then goes on to insult her job.

Pro tip, if you want to reconnect with someone who has cut you outta their life DO NOT show up acting like their pissed off Dad, treat them like a burden, and then insult their job all under the first 30 seconds of seeing them.

Blitz also could have called off the hit with a snap of his fingers, even if he had to restrain Moxxie, but he didn’t. And you could say that her job doesn’t automatically become more important then his, and that’s true, but sometimes the ball is not gonna be in your court, especially wen your trying to reconcile with someone, and he is his own boss so he could have sacrificed this one job for her, even if he didn’t have time to necessarily weigh options he was trying to have his cake and eat it too

Blitz doesn’t know how to act, I can sympathize with that, but he can also be held accountable for being the way he is, especially how he treats others, is not working for him or anyone else

hello!! i've been spamming about billie the kid a lot lately, and for good reason. seeing this show was such a reset for me. i really do feel like i walked out of that theatre a different person. i feel braver in my own queerness, my expression, who i am as a person - and i know some people have been asking about the show, or have wanted to see it but can't, so i just wanted to tell you that if you enjoyed or are even a little bit interested in seeing billie the kid i really really recommend you go to any of the shows main socials (@/billiemusical on instagram, @/billiemusical on tiktok and @/billiemusical on twitter) and make posts or dm them to say that - the creators see everything that's sent to the main socials and it gives them the opportunity to tell producers that there is excitement for this show that would continue even with a full run.

look. are you tired of queer tragedy and trauma being exploited? this show is for you. are you tired of seeing queer media that doesn't have the guts to go into the complexities and nuances of the queer experience? this show is for you. do you want queer media that allows it's queer characters to get the happy endings they deserve? THIS SHOW IS FOR YOU. i've never seen any queer media that uses such care and nuance in it's portrayal of the queer experience - the good and the bad, the pride and the fear, the beautiful and the ugly. and that's why it's so important that the creators are able to tell their producers that there is a market for this show, that there is interest and excitement for it. you can do anything! wanna make fan content? go right ahead! you don't even need to post it publicly, you can just send privately in a DM to the show's instagram. or if you're like me and aren't really an artist by any means, you can just let them know that you're interested in the show. you can go in-depth, tell them why you want to see it, why you couldn't, if you'd be interested in a cast album, etc etc - or you can just keep it short and simple and say 'hey, i really hope you get a full run!!'.

the whole team are truly the kindest people - i was able to talk to a lot of them at stagedoor as well as message a few afterwards, and their biggest hope for this show is that it's able to instill hope and pride in all the queer people who need it, because they've BEEN those frightened queer people. this show is authentic, it's empowering, it's real and it's KIND. it treats us with the dignity we deserve, and i hope so desperately that it can get the life it deserves. so if you can spare them a kind word, anything that goes to show there is interest in this show, i really do beg that you do it.

Analyzing: I Don't Know + Now and Then

I found the introductory piano in Paul's "I Don't Know" to be very similar to John's Now and Then. I don't know if he was consciously thinking about "Now and Then" when he wrote "I Don't Know," but just to play around with that idea, here are my thoughts on that.

Well, for starters, in the second verse there's the couplet:

"My brother told me, life's not a pain / But that was right when it started to rain." Which I believe may be referencing John's song "Rain." While it's credited to Lennon-McCartney, and Paul claimed they had a equal hand in writing it, it was John who sang the lead vocals.

What really fascinated me were the lyrics:

"But it's alright, sleep tight

I will take the strain

You're fine, love of mine

You will feel no pain"

And who wrote two songs largely about sleeping? John (i.e. I'm So Tired and I'm Only Sleeping). On Genius, Paul didn't really say much about these lyrics aside from, "Yeah so it was me just thinking this problem out and putting it into a song." And he also said that his approach to it was like:

"'Ma woman left me!' it wasn't that, but it was that sort of feeling. I didn't really know what to do about it, other than write a song. So I wrote the song and then I felt I had more of an idea what to do . You write out your demons. It felt good to just say, 'I don't know what to do!' It's like owning up."

My take on this is that the "it's alright, sleep tight" is a case where sleep is in reference to death. Which reminded me of Pyramus and Thisbe with the lines:

"Asleep, my love? What, dead, my dove? O Pyramus, arise! Speak, speak. Quite dumb? Dead, dead? A tomb"

So, my take on this is that since John is dead/sleeping, Paul is "taking the strain" or holding the fort. Paul said that he was going through a difficult period when he wrote "I don't know" and that "---sometimes that's a good way to write a song, 'cause you're coming from your soul. And we often used to say that writing a song was like talking to a psychiatrist, a therapist or something, 'cause you're saying it...You're saying it in a song rather than a room to a specialist."

Therefore, I think Paul may have been addressing his still unresolved feelings over John's death.

Also, something I noticed... I also feel like the constant repetition of "I don't know," may be referencing George's "Something."
