The League of Villains Halloween Horror Anthology Sign Up

This is the sign up post for the first annual League of Villains Halloween Horror Anthology!

The deadline to sign up for this event is September 30th! Please keep that in mind!

What it is:

The anthology will be various fanfics and fanart of League of Villains members reimagined as horror creatures/icons/characters, to be posted throughout October of this year. I thought it would be a fun way to get us all in the spooky Halloween mood.

This is an adults-only event! Please do not sign up unless you have your age listed in your bio or pinned post! Minors do not interact!

Rules:

You can make fanfic or fanart, or both! But each piece must feature a League of Villains member (past or present, but only one per piece) as a horror creature/icon/character, such as a vampire or a masked killer. They have to be the source of the horror, so no zombie fics where the character is fighting zombies. If you pick zombie as your horror creature, the character you pick has to be a zombie.

Multiple people can claim each character, so if we get 30 Dabi fics, so be it. However, only one person can claim each horror icon for the medium you chose. So if someone already signed up for one of the characters as a vampire in a fic, you can’t sign up for a character (even a different one) as a vampire in a fic. You can sign up for a vampire in a fanart, provided no one else has. I will do these on a first come, first serve basis. So the first person to claim a given creature will get it. If a lot of people sign up and I feel like we’re legitimately running out of horror tropes, I might bend this rule a bit. Also! You can be specific to differentiate between creatures. Like an undead pirate is different from a regular zombie, and so on.

Fanfics can be X Reader or not. They can be NSFW/smut, or not. That’s up to you! If you choose Toga as your character, only write/draw SFW pieces for her, as she is a minor. It doesn’t matter if you age her up. You don’t have to make your piece horror, but it’s encouraged. This is a Halloween anthology after all. At the very least, a spooky vibe should be present, even if your piece is overall light hearted. Likewise, you don’t have to set the story on or around Halloween, but it would be nice to have some works that do so.

You can post your piece any time in October. From the first day of the month to the last. Ideally, the pieces will be spread out a bit throughout the month, but I’m not assigning anyone specific days. Just post it whenever you want in October.

If you sign up, but decide to drop out, that’s fine! This is a zero pressure event. You don’t even have to explain why. All I ask is that you send me a message or Ask letting me know so that I can remove you from the sign up list. Someone else might have wanted to write about the creature you chose, but couldn’t because you picked it.

When you post your piece, use the tag #lovhalloweenhorror. Feel free to use the tag before then! Use it to talk about the piece you’re working on, use it to post sketches or previews! Heck, use it even if you just plan to enjoy the fan works! Use it to talk about things you’d like to see/read as a viewer. Anything goes! Let’s build up some excitement!

As works begin to be posted in October, I’ll create a Masterlist post to list all of them in one convenient place. If you post your piece and you don’t see it added to the list within a day or so, send me a message to let me know in case I missed it.

You're flattered by Klaus's interest in you, at first. You'd never had a very good track record in terms of relationships, so, when you quite suddenly catch the eye of a very attractive, alluring, and charming man, you are, to say the least, delightfully surprised.

Your relationship moves slow, but your heart rate when you're around him doesn't. Klaus is sweet and tender with you, too, not doing anything that you'd potentially oppose before consulting you. The perfect man, it seems. Dutiful, tactful, kind, he's everything you could ever want in a partner.

He's most certainly the type to shower you with all kinds of gifts - jewelry adorned with your favorite gemstones, the most luxurious of chocolates, gorgeous, expensive dresses - anything of the sort. If, however, this doesn't at first allure you, Klaus starts leaving intricate drawings of you and heartfelt poems on your doorstep - more personal and romantic that the first option.

With all of these gifts, of course, he always leaves a new love letter for you to read daily. They're always filled with romantic promises and burning desires, from smaller things such as "you looked exquisite today" to "I promise to show you all life has to offer" and "you are what gives me purpose, your light is the only thing able to outshine my darkness."

When the two of you become official, Klaus is elated. He never keeps his hands off of you when you're in public, always finding some way to touch you - whether it be subtly by placing his hands on the small of your back or intertwining your fingers together to move outward gestures such as squeezing your thigh underneath the dinner table when you're out eating with friends.

Whatever it is, you can never quite keep your face straight around him, the faintest blush and a smile always finding a way to creep up onto your face.

When the two of you are alone, matters are even more heated. Klaus, being the gentleman that he is, is perfect at complimenting you and bringing you to your knees, quite literally. Offering you gentle praises in bed and the softest of kisses, it's no wonder that you find yourself falling for the man.

And, with things going so perfectly between the two of you, you don't even think to notice Klaus's increasingly possessive and downright obsessive behavior.

It was right under your nose that Klaus would track you at all times with his hybrids or would ensure of your safety by following you himself. He even went so far as to slip in trace amounts of his blood into your morning tea and coffee to ensure that, should anything unexpected happen to you, you couldn't die on him.

About a year into your relationship, in an ever so coincidental occurrence, you lose your job the very day Klaus's mansion is ready to be lived in. You look everywhere and anywhere for another job to ensure you can at least pay the next month's rent, but when no such options arise and an eviction notice is bound to appear on your doorstep any day now, you ask Klaus if you can move in with him.

Klaus is excited that you turn to him so quickly, and already seems to have extra room in his bedroom for you to stay. Although you feel guilty taking up residency in such a beautiful home, Klaus reassures you that whatever is his is yours, and that, if anything, he is happy with the turnout, if it means he can spend more time with you.

Klaus only tells you of what he is when he's truly sure that you'd never leave him for such a thing, though leaving out crucial details such as his ability to compel people or the fact that vampires must drink human blood in order to turn. After all, he'd never do such an evil thing! All the blood that he drinks is exclusively from animals and other vermin!

If, however, you don't believe him in that instance, he'd simply compel you to think otherwise. Although he prefers having you being perfectly… you, he doesn't want to have to hurt you to ensure you won't tell anyone else or to not be afraid.

Things grow even worse when Klaus starts controlling where you are allowed to go. During the day, Klaus complains that you don't give him nearly enough attention, causing you to spend your afternoons spending time with him, while in the late evenings, Klaus provides you with pure ecstasy all night long. And while, yes, it is all quite enjoyable, you find yourself growing unhappy. You could hardly remember the last day you'd talked to your friends over call or had texted for more than a couple of minutes - or the last time you'd gone out, for that matter (as Klaus was so worried that you'd cheat on him).

It was also quite odd, you found, that every man you'd spoken to - other than Klaus's brothers, of course - mysteriously disappeared, and that your cars keys and credit card had been lost for a long time now, though you'd always been quite good with ensuring they were where they were supposed to be before.

It was for all those reasons, then, that you tried to finally break up with Klaus, but he didn't seem to appreciate the gesture. So, Klaus did whatever he could to keep you from leaving - namely, locking you in his bedroom while he'd gone out for the day. The room, once full of warmth and familiarity, filled with the remnants of Klaus's cologne and your perfume mixing in a fit of passion, was now cold and foreign. It was more a prison than your bedroom, a place that you'd once found comfort in - though you supposed a similar thing could be said about Klaus.

When Klaus returns, he attempts to soothe you into falling asleep. You thrash and fight against him, not knowing what he was planning on doing with you and not wanting to know all the same, but your efforts are pointless as he eventually chooses to compel you into doing so.

Klaus relocates the two of you to a remote cottage, already prepared with new furniture, clothing, and other necessities. It makes you sick to your stomach, thinking that Klaus had potentially anticipated that something like this would have happened (he tells you that he was planning on bringing the two of you here as a surprise vacation or something of the sort, but you know better than to listen to him now).

In the beginning, Klaus is careful with you, offering a caring persona as he provides you with solace when you cry, knowing very well that the very reason that you are doing so is because of him. He doesn't seem to care, however, as he strokes your hair softly and whispers you words of encouragement and false promises you know he could never keep or fulfill in your ears. And yet, in spite of it all, you still find yourself unable to detach rationality from your emotions, and must constantly battle your conflicting thoughts that beg for you to simply let Klaus in and stop fighting.

Over time, Klaus manipulates you and tortures you with his mind games. In your isolation, it is easy to convince you that the ones closest to you have faults too large to ignore. And, with Klaus's skilled mind, he is able to make you believe the worst of your friends and family. He focuses on what they lack and spins them into monsters worse than even he. And you, slowly, believe him - though could anyone truly blame you? Your mind is not as it should be, and all you've seen and thought about is Klaus, Klaus, Klaus for who knows how long. It only makes sense that you'd at some point succumb to his persistent manipulation - after all, you were only human.

Klaus remains patient with you for the longest of time, knowing that it would soon pay off. And, although it's difficult to resist the temptation of returning to him and forgiving his past transgressions, if you manage to do so for an extended period of time, he takes it upon himself to speed up the process.

He throws enraged fits and grows increasingly angry with you as the days go by. He guilt trips you, too, convincing you that you're ungrateful for not accepting his undying affection. He's given everything to you - so why can't you just accept it and return his love?

If you still refuse to appease him, Klaus threatens your friends and family's lives. And, though at first you may just think he's bluffing, he's doing nothing of the sort. You know this the day he surprises you by turning up on the doorstep with your closest friend, dead, on the ground. And you crumble. Yes; it was true that he'd been able to make you think ill of her for so long, but seeing her in such a state? You cared for her immensely - you'd never wished for such a fate to fall upon her.

Although it is not explicitly at this moment, there comes a point where you decide to finally submit to Klaus's will - not because you want to, but simply because you're so mentally exhausted. Your mind is so tired of fighting him off, and all you truly want is to give in; so, you do, falling delicately into Klaus's carefully formulated trap.

It's only when you allow Klaus to share a more intimate experience with you once more that he knows that he's truly won you over, and what a pleasurable experience it is. Klaus rewards you in ways you could not describe with mere words, but his own desires are reciprocated, too, when he finally hears your gentle voice moaning his name and your fingers digging longingly into his skin.

Life after that is as good as you can be. You lie to yourself that this is what you want, and even though it isn't, you at times find yourself believing your own lie.

Klaus makes sure to make you know exactly who you belong to, ensuring your dependability on him with a myriad of pleasantries, kind compliments as well as promises that he truly plans to realize that he whispers into your ears when you're only half awake that he

There's a chance that, after Klaus knows that you're now absolutely dependent on him, he'll relocate the both of you. Maybe to the city, maybe to New Orleans, or maybe to somewhere else where his family is.

But where is is doesn't matter: you'll be by his side no matter what.

But just remember: wherever it is, one thing will always remain constant - try to escape him, even succeed - run, hide - but you both know that, in the end, one thing will never change:

You'd never be able to stay away for long, for you are completely and utterly his.

Boundaries (updated)!

Hail, True Body AU

Hey, I'm Mark/Mustang (whichever you prefer) and I made/make the 'Hail, True Body' AU for the Mandela Catalogue. I've already gave my boundaries briefly when I first started my blog here, but I thought I'd give the points more in-depth here on their own post.

1. Shipping (romantically/sexually)

An absolute and emphatic 'NO'. Do not romantically ship ANYONE in the HTB AU, that also goes for /reader or Y/N content. Not only should you not do this because of it being one of Alex Kister's boundaries, but also because it reduces my work to nothing more than shipping when the story I am telling has no place for it. HTB AU is about platonic and familial love as well as self-love. It's about what it means to be human when it's in direct conflict with the psychological horrors going on all around. It's also about coming to terms with past traumas and hurts and facing them in order to move forward. Shipping undermines everything I am trying to do and want to do with this AU. Plus, having to see NSFW content of your work when you specifically and explicitly don't want it really sucks the fun out of creating something. I am putting my foot down straight out of the gate as hard as I am because I've already had one instance of inappropriateness and never want it to happen again.

That being said, if you want to "ship" (I mean, it's not really 'shipping' in this context) platonically in a 'brOTP' kind of way, you absolutely can. There is plenty of platonic intimacy in the series - hugs, comforting, taking care of each others' wounds, etc. Having a favourite friendship group is absolutely fine and more than welcome if you want to talk about their dynamics or write/draw for them.

2. Art & Fanfic

Have a scene you want to draw or would you like to write a 'what-if' scenario - like maybe a 'what-if Mark had listened to alt!Cesar in the church in chapter 6'? You are absolutely welcome to! All I ask is that you tag it back to the fic series on Ao3 and tag me if you can so I can see and support it - I love seeing what you all make!

This section also covers things like animatics, comics, playlists, and even cosplay!

3. Headcanoning

Loosely tied to the 'Shipping' section, headcanoning characters as being in romantic/sexual relationship with anyone is not permitted. However, you are more than welcome to have headcanons about them as individuals. For example, do you headcanon HTB Mark as transmasc, asexual, etc., or resident eldritch horror alt!Cesar as agender/non-binary? That's awesome, I think having those headcanons are very cool and they're very welcome here!

4. Character Designs

The characters in this AU have very specific designs and outfits across the different eras that these fics take place in. When making art or content of them, please don't significantly change their designs - both physical appearance and their outfits. This is because their designs carry a lot of stuff that is important across the AU, tying into their backgrounds and experiences, etc. For example, if you want to draw Mark post 1992, please don't remove his facial scars or the patches from his denim jacket - they are crucial to his character in this AU!

However, please know you can make small changes. For example, do you think Mark would wear glasses whilst reading? Feel free to add them! Or like @pandoricabox did with their amazing HTB Dave cosplay, you can add small details like stress doodles on skin, or extra jewellery, etc!

If you are unsure if your changes to a character might cross into this boundary, send me a message and I will get back to you ASAP!

5. Roleplaying

This one is a bit more of a difficult one as the rules are a bit more complex(?). I don't mind if you want to roleplay as characters from this AU - roleplay is a good skill to have and it can help greatly with developing writing/storytelling skills! However, the characterisations of the cast in Hail, True Body AU are quite set on their paths and I'd rather not have people complicate things by making public roleplays that have the potential to confuse readers who stumble across them and think they might be accurate depictions of the characters.

So, please don't publicly roleplay as these characters!

However, you are more than welcome to make private roleplays with your friends if that is something you'd like to do! If you end up wanting to share the odd funny or cool moment from said RPs, you can do so, but please make it clear that it is a roleplay and isn't considered canon to the AU.

6. OCs

If you'd like to make your own OCs and write stories about/make art of/roleplay as them within this universe, you are more than welcome to! All I ask is that you follow the same rules as laid out in section 2 for "Art & Fanfic" and credit me for the AU setting you are using. Additionally, if you plan on role-playing as those OCs in this setting, you absolutely can do that publicly - your characters are yours, after all! Only follow section 5 for roleplay regarding the AU's main cast (Mark, alt!Cesar, etc.).

Here’s how it works:

In a reblog of this post (so people can find you in the notes) or new thread (w/ rules attached) if you want to play on your own, post up to five (5) filenames of your WIPs; not titles, file names.

Post a snippet from one of them. Snippet must be words you wrote in the last 7 days. We’re posting progress here. If you haven’t made any, go make some and come back to play!

Buck entered his apartment, letting out a relieved sigh at being able to sleep for the next few hours after a long twenty four hour shift. That and the fact he was still reeling from his first kiss with a guy.

Something he didn't even know he had wanted untill Tommy's lips met his own.

He had been in the haze ever since. This confusion because he wanted to do it again... and again and again.

Walking towards his stairs to head to the second level of the loft, he froze as a bag sat on his kitchen counter pulled his attention.

He frowned at the bag. That wasn't his bag. He didn't own a bag like that. He was carrying his only bag on his body right now.

Instantly the hairs on the back of his neck rose. Something wasn't right.

The aroma of a take out hit his nose.... was that.... Chinese food?

Buck slowly dropped his own bag, wincing at the loud thud it made as it hit the floor. He reached over to grab the bat he had stashed by the stairs slowly so as not to draw any attention to himself.

He could see someone in his living room area spawled across the couch..... whoever it was was sleeping? Faint snores just about reaching Bucks ears.

He grabbed the bat, walking towards the figure. He really wasn't in the mood for whatever bullshit was happening right now.

"Hey!" He shouted, bat raised.

Two things happened simultaneously. The sprawled figure jackhammered upwards, shouting a loud confused 'what' before sliding off the couch face first to the floor.

"Ow." The figure - no the boy - groaned, slowly climbing to his feet. Buck cleared his throat, alerting the boy to his presence but the bat still gripped tight in his hands.

The boys head whirled up to face him. Buck felt his own face grown confused and very exasperated, blinking at the blatant teenager that should be miles away and not in LA.

"Uncle Ev!" The boy shouted, sounding nervous based on the crack in his voice as he shifted on the spot with a small, just as obviously nervous smile. Blue eyes flickering between Buck, the bat, and the phone on the table.

"Liam......" Buck said, the smile on Liam’s face widening at being recognised. It had been three years since he last seen the kid.

"Please don't tell my mom."

And obviously, the kid was looking to have his other older sister kill him.

In The Pale Moonlight Part 7

Honestly, I'm struggling to write a traditional chapter for this AU. Then I remembered the introductions I did a while ago. So, @harleyification, let's see if I can recapture the magic?

(Martha Kent (Marc))

When Clark called home asking for a pie that "a young teen might enjoy", Martha wasn't too sure what to think. "I'm helping a friend with his new kids," was all he'd say over the phone, but with that tone that hinted at something related to Work. So, Martha shrugged and got baking.

It was pretty late when Clark appeared in his suit, as did a little tag-along. "Hello dear," she warmly greeted her son before turning to her guest, " and what's your name, sweetheart?" "Moon Knight," The teenager in mummy bandages blinked glowing eyes in mild surprise. "Batman asked me to help teach him and his brother how to fly," Clark explained, "There is another, but he can't fly at all, so..."

"Oh, and where is he?" "Want back home," Moon Knight muttered, "Went first." "I'm going to drop him back tonight, but figured a little pick-me up before would be best," Clark smiled like the sun. "Of cource," Martha nodded and silently planned to send the rest of the pie home with him, "Come on in, I've tried something new this time: Toffee Apple pie sound good?"

Those glowing eyes perked up slightly. Near-silent footsteps followed her inside as Martha wondered if they still had some custard left.

J'onn might have missed the meeting where they were introduced to the whole League, but he knew Batman's new sons. Or, at least, one of them.

It would seem that something in the universe had conspired so that everytime he visited, only Mr Knight was visiting. Not that he really objected. The young lad was a sponge for knowledge, and was happy and eager to hear about Mars in its prime. It warmed his heart to be able to share his planet's history with another.

So, when Batman called him into a private meeting with Mr Knight, J'onn had no clue as to why. "Hello J'onn," Batman stated calmly, genuinely, "Mr Knight wants to share something personal with you." "Oh?" J'onn had not expected this. "Yes, I already know what. But before that, I want your word that it does not leave this room." And there was the batgrowl they all know and love. "Of cource. I will maintain the secrecy of whatever is revealed here and now."

Batman nodded and turned to Mr Knight. He hesitated, before his mask shrinked into its domino form. "I want to tell you, I've not told anyone before. Everyone else who knows found out and- I trust you," he stammered past his nerves, "And it's best that you know. Two birds one stone, innit?" "Ok," J'onn calmly nodded even as he filed the proverb for future reference.

Mr Knight swallowed. For a few moments, J'onn waited. Then he felt the invitation. He looked up at Batman who nodded, and made his way inside his mind.

And finally met Mr Knight's brothers. J'onn had never felt a mind like their's, multiple yet natural. His face smiled while a mental handshake was extended to the boys.

Keeping this secret would be no problem.

It had been an whim. Khonshu had been about to approach a very promising individual about becoming his avatar, when he felt it. A call. Had it been anything else, he would have ignored it, but someone was calling him.

So, Khonshu left Arthur Harrow, and appeared somewhere he was not expecting.

A child's bedroom. Hand-drawn pictures splattered in blood, the source of which lay trembling close by. For a moment, Khonshu was stunned. It was far from the first dying child he'd seen in his long existance, but how had this child managed to summon him?

The child's hand twitched on a slightly crumpled drawing, a artistically pleasing depiction of himself, albeit in cheap felt-tip pen. Looking closer, he could see them all: Marc Spector who still fought even in his despair, Jake Lockley who was trying to take the pain from him, and Steven Grant, asleep and blissfully unaware of his approaching fate.

Khonshu made up his mind. "Little ones," he greeted, "Do you wish to live?" "What-?" Marc weakly answered, using every last bit of strength to look at Khonshu. "You have undergone great suffering. But I am here. If you wish it, I will shield you from harm, and in return, you can help others like you, others who live in fear of harm. So, I ask you, will you protect the travelers of the night?" "...yes." "Then rise my Moon Knight, and come back from the brink."

As flesh healed, the relief of life carried Marc and Jake to sleep. Staring down at his new avatar (or was it avatars?), Khonshu knew what he must do. After all, they had called to him as travellers first.

Are you named after anyone? unfortunately, st. brigid of ireland, but also apparently it's a name thats been in my dad's side of the family too? either way my parents knew of the name due to irish catholic reasons. yipee! though im cool with it bc st. brigid used to be the goddess brigid from irish myth, and also both of them were badasses <3

When was the last time you cried? .....genuinely i think the last time i cried was in like. early march when i watched the holdovers? i think? taking a break from college has greatly decreased the frequency at which i cry lmao

Do you have kids? no sir

Do you use sarcasm a lot? i guess yes? probably about as much as the average person (this is not sarcasm)

What sports do you play? i do not play any currently (though i probs should. i am built like a twig and a strong wind will knock me over.) but as a kid i used to play soccer which i hated and was god awful at and softball which i liked more but i was also god awful at and mostly spent my time hitting foul balls and playing with the grass in right field. but it was fun!

What’s the first thing you notice about people? uhhhhhh. uh?????? if they're wearing a cool outfit or have cool hair or smth? idk man. i guess i dont rlly think abt it?

Scary movies or happy endings? uh. both? am p sure my tolerance for horror is a lot higher than most people and im always down for a tragedy but i also like happy endings too. though from a writing perspective happy endings are significantly easier to pull off than sad ones (& more common. hero's journey and all that).

Any special talents? uhhhhh im double jointed in my thumbs. also i can put my foot behind my head. is that a talent? im also working on my sudoku time, i think my lowest time for master difficulty is around 6 mins 30 seconds? which is uh. above average?? i think???

Welcome to the seventh annual Merry Pitchmas Gift Exchange!!

Right, I’m sure most of you are used to this speech by now, so here’s a tl;dr, but for those of you that are new or need a refresh, check under the cut!

Hello hello, my name is Auto. I am the Hal introject who runs this blog - I would greatly prefer you don't call me Hal though, to the point I will likely ignore/delete requests where you refer to me as such. I use site/click/cursor/install/upload/he/it as stated in the bio.. If you're curious about how to use them, I don't mind making a little table for you either.

I made this blog to draw Homestuck introjects, as I found most of them are inactive. Do note I suffer from chronic pain, so my own activity may be somewhat slow.. Though I assure you I will attempt to be as active as possible.

I will draw any sort of introject - baseline, kidswap, hemoshifts, I will even do non-canon introjects. I noticed quite a few blogs don't do that, and I felt sad about it, as I& myself have non-canonical Homestuck introjects. I may post non-introject art, though. I don't usually post my art on Tumblr, so there's no harm in killing two birds with one stone.

Though, I will say, if requesting a non-canon introject, please send me a drawing reference. You don't need to be an artist to do this - trust me, I'm rather good at drawing from reference of "shitty" art. It's just that even if heavily detailed in description, I fear I might get something wrong, and I'd really hate for that to happen.

This blog is heavily inspired by quite a few similar blogs, like @disabled-stuck, psychostuck, etc.. Please go check out those blogs, they're wonderful.

I am bodily an adult, but I will NOT draw anything nsfw. Basic DNI applies. If you're wondering why I don't write it out, I'd prefer Tumblr's abysmal search engine to not pick it up. I will, of course, block anyone who breaks the DNI, as well as blocking critically.

New pinned? Earlier today we got some tags on one of our art that reminded me that we never really went back and explained anything about ourselves, so. Gonna do it now.

Heya! We're Starry. This is our artblog.

We're a 20y/o genderfucked queer polyfragmented system with a lotta fictives. Pretty much everything here is based on shit in our brain. Heads up: We post Gore, Horror, and occasionally Suggestive content (tagged), along with artistic and partial nudity (which may not get tagged).

You might notice we never take acknowledging our plurality very seriously, or explain things regarding it much ever. That's... Pretty simply cause we don't want to put that on the internet for everyone and God to see. We're explaining it here because it's a part of our art and a frame of reference for a lot of things we make and say.

DON'T TAKE THIS POST AS ANY FORM OF A DNI. We don't want things we make to be treated any differently because of this. The works, writings, designs, and stories we put here are all from a place of concious thought and passion! While we call this blog more of a personal art archival, we do genuinely still put it online to share art that we've put thought, heart, and soul into.

For the record, to make things abundantly clear, we'll put a list of specifications under the cut. But in a nutshell, the main "boundary" I give a shit about is this:

Us being fictives and talking about our stories doesn't mean this is a character blog. It isn't a roleplay blog. It's just us being us. Don't send messages or asks looking for someone specific, or expecting a specific reply, cause their source is your blorbo. And don't get shocked or offended when we inevitably act out of character in our posts, cause we AREN'T a character. We're people.

I guess this goes in hand with that but, don't tell us we're existing wrong as a fictive, alter, or system, too. I'll just block you. This is the only serious response anyone who might try to fakeclaim us is getting. I am not here to explain why we are the way we are, who we are, or what happened. Step back and understand that all that shit is, is sticking your nose into the trauma of strangers on the internet to decide if they're "correct" enough in your eyes. Nobody owes you their life story so you can decide if they're valid. Put your energy into something better.

Ey: I'm @neotriobrainrot-reborn (aka fungireborn). This is just a sideblog/alt account where I'll only post stuff related to stuff I write/draw so that it isn't constantly suffocated by reblogs. I'm a pretty friendly dude, and while I'm not too outspoken, I would love to interact with others!

This was one of the first things I've written, and looking back on this, I kind of hate it. I don't really like a lot of the writing decisions I've made. A lot of it was ooc, even for an au, and a good amount of moments didn't feel too put together. However, I would be wrong if I said this fic had no value. It personally kickstarted my writing journey!

I do want to mention that I do and don't plan on finishing it. While the work is discontinued, I am working on something called "Re-Spored" which will basically involve rewrites of my old fics (like this, for example)

Fractured Bell

Fandom(s): Epithet Erased

The Respored (aka rewrite) version of "Everything's Not Okay - Broken Royalty Part One". For context, scroll up until you see "Everything's (Not) Okay"

I'll just say it up front, nothing about the story I had in mind for the original version of the fic justifies it even being more than one chapter, let alone 20 and a multi part thing. Barely anything about "Everything's (Not) Okay" made sense in my eyes, looking back at it. The original plot was faulty, everyone was ooc even for an au excluding maybe Rick, and if I ramble even more about how much I don't like one of my old fics I'll be on my death bed. Ironically, I'm still fond of it, but more In a "Aww, well aren't you an adorable piece of garbage" way.

So involving this rewrite to keep things short, will be only one chapter. The chapter will most likely be a long one-shot(possibly up to 20k words. At the bare minimum, it'll be around 7,500 words), but still a one-shot

Tldr: I'm turning Brokeon Royalty into a One-shot and naming it "Fractured Bell"

The respored (rewrite) of "Amphibia Erased Neo"

I kind of like the original version better than Broken Royalty, but it still had its problems. The chapters weren't really too unique, and while the frogs(like Sprig, Polly, etc) were in character, the human characters(Molly, Phoenica, Trixie) weren't.

The rewrite is meant to be a complete overhaul of the original fic, where it changes nearly everything from the original.

Chapter 8: A Surprise Christmas Gift

Hiya guys! I’m so sorry this chapter took me so long, I had a poll to decide what this chapter should be about and it ended in a tie so I ended up having to decide 😆! And I really struggle with writing birth and pregnancy chapters (they give me anxiety and I have a really hard time 😅) but I think this chapter came out very well and I’m super proud of it and myself 😁! I hope you all enjoy~!

Neva winced slightly as she sat at her vanity, even though she was now Queen she still insisted on getting dressed and doing her hair and make-up herself, but in her current state that was…a little difficult to achieve.

Currently, the Queen of Spade was 9 months pregnant with the next heir to the royal throne.

She nearly laughed at the memory of everyone being so excited when she told them. She had invited everyone that was close to her and could clearly see the surprise and happiness on their faces as though it had happened yesterday. She recalled William and her friends Solara and Josele pulling her aside and telling her how happy and proud they were of her, and that if she ever needed anything to just send them a letter or use the communication device and they would gladly come to Spade to help her.

Neva also recalled how everyone in the castle treated her differently after her announcement. They treated her like she was some sort of priceless, fragile doll that could break at any moment. It annoyed her greatly that the people in the castle treated her that way, but luckily there were two people in the castle who treated her normally.

Her mother-in-law Ciel, and her husband Yuno.

The two did act a little more cautious, especially in the beginning, but knew when and where to draw the line. Yuno toed that line many times, but always made sure to take a step back when Neva caught him or when he caught himself.

But during her entire pregnancy he was a really big help. When she was sick around him, no matter the time of day or night, he would always help hold her hair out of her face and would rub her back soothingly. When she was too tired to go to a meeting or to take care of her Paragons Yuno would take over so she could rest, and he even went as far as to surprise her with new clothes as she progressed in her pregnancy.

Neva laughed as she remembered how much she teased him about that, she knew his heart was in the right place by getting her more clothes that would fit more comfortably, but she could refrain from giving him a bit of a hard time over it.

But her most favorite thing that he did during the entire pregnancy? He started reading to her.

Of course Yuno would tell her that he wasn’t reading out loud for her, and that he was actually reading out loud to help their child’s development. But she knew better. After she offhandedly mentioned how much she loved hearing him read to her he began to do it more often and even began reading her favorite books.

Neva suddenly winced again as she felt that same pain in her back. Her doctor had told her that they were most likely something called “false labor pains” and that she would be experiencing them more as she progressed further and further along, it was her body's way of preparing itself is what the doctor said. The woman couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

If this was just the false pains, just how bad were the real ones?

She turned as she noticed a familiar face in the mirror smiling lovingly at her.

“ You look very beautiful Neva,” Yuno said softly as he leaned against the door frame and had his arms crossed, and she couldn’t help but smile and shake her head.

“ Even with the back of my dress open like this?” Neva asked curiously, she had tried to tie the back of her dress herself, but found it to be a little…difficult. Yuno chuckled.

“ Especially with the back open.” He joked which caused his wife to scoff and roll her eyes before she stood up.

“ You’re a terrible liar.” She muttered as she watched him walk up to her and tied up the back of her dress.

“ I know. Which is why I make a point to never lie.” He told her before placing a gentle kiss onto her shoulder, which made Neva smile softly.

“ You don’t have to go to the party, you know, you can just stay up here and rest.” He muttered as he wrapped his arms around her, his wife nodded before leaning back against his chest and placing her hand on top of his.

“ I know, and trust me I considered it, but this will probably be my last royal event before our child is born. And we have so many visitors from Clover, Heart, and Diamond here, so I owe it to everyone to at least make a short appearance at the Christmas Party.” Neva said and she felt Yuno sigh before he rested his head on her shoulder.

“ I understand, and I think Asta would be very disappointed if he didn’t get to see you at the party.” He muttered with a shake of his head. “ I swear I think he’s more excited about becoming an uncle than becoming a dad.” He added and Neva couldn’t help but chuckle.

Asta and his wife Noelle were also expecting a baby, although Noelle was only 2 months along as opposed to Neva’s nine months. But the two were able to chat and bond about their different, yet somewhat similar, experiences during their pregnancies. It was nice to have someone going through it at the same time as her, all of her other friends already had their children and provided her with great advice which she was now handing down to Noelle as well.

“ He’s excited about both, but what about you? Are you excited about being a father, and then an uncle in 8 months?” Neva asked softly as she turned to look at him, although she already knew the answer, she still wanted to hear him say it herself. And when she saw a soft smile appear on his face again she knew what he was going to say.

“ Of course I am. Although I am a little nervous about being a dad, I think the excitement outweighs it a bit.” Yuno admitted quietly which made Neva chuckle before placing a kiss onto the side of his head.

The two of them had already worked through their worries and doubts about being good parents long ago, so now they had more excitement in their hearts than nerves. But the nervousness still remained no matter how excited they were.

As Yuno removed his arms he grabbed his wife’s hand and the two walked out of the room. They walked down the hall a bit before Neva winced in pain again, this time it was a little sharper than the other two had been. Her husband noticed her wince and placed his hand on her back and began to rub it soothingly.

“ Are you okay? Do we need to go back?” He asked in concern as he looked at her face, she shook her head before inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly.

“ It’s alright, it’s just these stupid false labor pains. I’ve probably been standing too long.” Neva told him with a laugh, but Yuno didn’t look convinced. “ I’m fine, don’t worry.”

“ You’ll pop your head in for a few minutes and then go rest,” Yuno said in a serious and stern tone, as Neva opened her mouth to argue, she watched him cut her a look. “ That’s an order from the King.” He added, his wife made a tutting noise before rolling her eyes.

“ You’re so annoying.” She muttered but didn’t argue. Yuno kissed the top of her head and the two continued to walk down the hallway, and as much as Neva appreciated him trying to help ease her pain by rubbing the small of her back, it didn’t really do much to help. But it did give her some comfort.

But after being in the ballroom for a few minutes, the pain grew worse.

As Neva walked around and greeted their guests and friends in the ballroom with Yuno the pain in her back began to grow more and more intense and soon it migrated more to the front.

These were not the “false labor pains” that her doctor had told her about.

She gritted her teeth and attempted to smile warmly at everyone. She was used to wearing a ‘mask’ in front of people, but this time it was much harder to keep it in place. After the greeted a pair of nobles from Spade another contraction hit Neva hard and she gripped Yuno’s arm tightly and couldn’t help but double over in pain.

“ Seriously kid? You couldn’t have waited at least one more day before pulling this stunt?” Neva grumbled in her head, but just like all her friends had told her, babies came when they were ready to, regardless of if you are ready for them to.

“ Neva! Are you okay?” Yuno exclaimed in concern as he bent over and tried to look at his wife’s face. He watched her try to smile through the pain as she turned to look at him.

“ I’m…I’m fine…” She told him through gritted teeth, but Yuno and everyone else could see that she clearly wasn’t alright.

“ Ralph,” Yuno called his personal guard loudly, and he quickly rushed over. “ Go fetch the doctor quickly!” Ralph nodded before taking a few of his fellow Mage Defense members with him, Yuno looked back at his wife and saw her face turn a little paler and sweat begin to appear on her forehead.

“ Is everything alright?” Ciel asked as she walked over to them, behind her was Asta, Noelle, Mimosa, Klaus, and William, all with worry etched onto their faces.

“ She’s been complaining of her back hurting since this evening, and she thought it was just false labor pains, but it just keeps getting worse.” Yuno explained, Ciel smiled warmly and knelt down next to her son and daughter-in-law.

“ It’s not false labor pains,” She said matter of factly. “ Neva dear, I think you're in actual labor. But we’ll need the doctor to confirm it.” She added kindly as she watched their eyes widen before they looked from her to each other.

Yuno paced back and forth anxiously in front of the oak doors that led to the Queen’s quarters. After Neva had doubled over in the ballroom, Ciel had ordered Yuno to help guide her to the closest private room. The closest one happened to be the Queen’s quarters where Neva was ‘supposed’ to sleep after she and Yuno were married, but of course she abandoned that room after one night, stating that she didn’t like sleeping alone and so far away.

Yuno had stayed in the room and held Neva’s hand as they waited for the doctor and his staff to arrive, but as they rushed in the nurses and midwives had ordered him to leave. When he tried to argue, the women glared at him and told him they would forcibly remove him if he didn’t do as they asked, no matter that he was the king.

He stopped pacing as he felt someone place a hand on his shoulder and he turned to see Asta standing there with a small smile on his face.

“ Yuno, she’s going to be okay. They both will be.” Asta tried to assure his friend.

“ Remind me to tell you that exact same thing when Noelle’s the one in labor.” Yuno snapped icily, which caused everyone to wince. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “ Sorry.”

“ It’s okay, I get it. Honestly I’d probably snap at me too.” Asta said with a nervous laugh and Yuno tried to smile apologetically.

Yuno looked at the clock on the wall, Neva had gone into that room around 9pm and now it was 15 minutes past midnight. After a couple of hours of waiting William had to take his leave, which everyone understood, being here like this probably brought back a lot of memories that he would rather forget.

Yuno looked at the oak door again as he swore he heard a noise on the other side. There were many times where he had to restrain himself from throwing the door open and barging into the room to be with his wife, but he always hesitated. He wanted to be there for her and support her, but at the same time was worried about being in the way or stressing her out more, on top of that he was worried that seeing her in pain would break him. One of the things in this world that tore him up and could easily break him was seeing Neva in pain.

Finally, he determinedly walked up to the door and went to open it. But before he could, it swung open from the other side and one of the nurses face appeared, although it was considerably pale and her eyes held fear in them, which made Yuno anxious and concerned.

“ Y-Your majesty…”

“ What is it? Did something happen to Neva? Or the baby?” He asked quickly and she shook her head.

“ No it’s not that, um, actually…”

“ What? Is it twins? Or triplets?!” Asta suddenly asked from behind Yuno, causing both the Nurse and his friend to look at him.

“ N-No it’s not that either,” the nurse turned back to Yuno. “ Actually, the Queen is um demanding that you be allowed in there, and she specifically said if we didn’t let you that um…she would permanently incase us in her diamond magic…” the nurse continued nervously, and Yuno looked above her to see one of the midwife's feet completely covered in Neva’s diamond magic.

Yuno nodded as he quickly swallowed the laughter that crept into his throat, he would have to tell his wife to apologize to them after everything was over. He followed the nurse into the room and closed the oak door behind him.

Later at 6:30am

After waiting hours and hours, everyone in the hallway suddenly heard a baby cry as loudly as it could, and a wave of relief washed over all of them at the delightful sound.

The doctor, nurses, and midwives walked out of the room a few minutes later. When asked whether it was a Crown Prince or Princess the doctor just smiled and said that the king would come out and tell them himself later, the doctor also instructed the people in the hall to get some rest and to let the new family of three have some time to themselves before they tried to go into the room.

They nodded understandingly and they all sat down on the floor or in chairs and closed their eyes to rest for a few hours.

Inside the Queen’s room the new family of three were sitting together comfortably. Yuno sat on the edge of the bed and Neva rested her upper body against him as she held their daughter comfortably in her arms.

“ She looks a lot like you.” Neva muttered quietly as she stared lovingly at the newborn, Yuno frowned and shook his head.

“ I don’t think so, I think she looks a lot like you actually.” He muttered as he moved a little closer to inspect their daughter's face.

She had round chubby cheeks, a complexion that was closer to Yuno’s, and her hair seemed to be dark like his, but her eyes, her eyes were the spitting image of Neva’s.

“ Have you decided on a name yet?” Yuno asked curiously as he reached out a finger to gently grab his daughter's tiny hand, Yuno smiled as she gripped it firmly.

“ Hm I was thinking maybe…Miku.” Neva said softly as she traced her daughter's chubby cheek with her finger gently, the baby smiled brightly and Yuno tilted his head.

“ Miku huh…” He muttered the name to himself over and over again before he nodded. “ I like it, it suits her.”

“ In Hino it means ‘wind’ and I figured since most of us have four letter names that Miku would be perfect.” Neva lightly joked before she gently passed Miku off to her father so he could hold her. Neva shifted slightly so she could rest her head on her husband's shoulder and still keep an eye on Miku.

“ I never realized that our family all had four letter names,” Yuno admitted with a chuckle. “ But now that you mention it, it’s true.” He added and when he looked down he noticed his wife had closed her eyes and had fallen asleep, he looked over at his daughter and realized she had fallen asleep as well.

Yuno shook his head and shifted Miku in his arms a bit so he could hold her as well as Neva in his arms. It was a struggle, but he was able to manage it. His smile went from happy to content as he looked at his girls, they had a very tiring day and deserved the rest.

He looked up as the clock in the room suddenly chimed to signal the time, and his eyebrows raised in surprise. It was 7:30 am but more importantly, it was Christmas. He couldn’t help but chuckle, Miku was what one considered a ‘Christmas baby’.

As Yuno stared down at his adorable daughter he couldn’t help but think that this was the best Christmas gift he had ever received.
