i know i know! its been a hot minute since i posted, but i SWEAR ive been drawing. in fact, i can post 4 DRAWINGS TODAY! i was inspired by fortnite of all things to make OCs loosely based off of ancient greek gods. feel free to not read the rest of the yappity text unless you care about my thought process, you can just look at the spilly pictures

!!!DISCLAIMER!!! im not a scholar on greek lore nor do i even try to be accurate in any way, if anything you can consider these queer OCS with parallels. im not trying to step on any toes here but if you have a genuine complaint dont be afraid to leave a CIVIL one in the comments please.

|hermetikles(he/they)|

this was my first one and it was based loosely around hermes. at this point i havent really figured out what i wanted to do so i kinda just made a design i thought looked neat and drew it. i did intentionally give him an extra pair of small wings on his legs for extra speed. also they have a sentient bag, i thought that would be fun and also messenger)

|aeyron(he/him)|

so this one is based off of eros. you might be able to tell by now a pattern of me kinda wanting to make a more 'modern' clothing style for the OCs, and yes thats kind of intentional. i later on decided i wanted to have a mix of what could be considered more stereotypically ancient greek styles(like that golden shoulder pad thing and the white robe/cape) but also other clothing styles i felt fit and that i liked. i felt the red hair fit because that kind of dark red evokes feelings of romance to me, and the tied up hair kinda looks like love hearts if you squint hard enough.

|nethaea(she/her)|

this one is based off of athena and probably the design i put the most thought into. first of all, owl mask and theming on the helmet: apparently according to my 5 minutes of wikipedia research that is a common athena symbol, so i added those here. the purple kind of sash thing and the blue scarf/tie thing around her neck is based around what judges wear. so athena from what i know is described as someone able to make logical decisions and someone knowledgeable, so i thought making her a judge kind of character makes sense. that said, the helmet and armour still nods to her being a badass godess of war, but in my imagination she would be more of a war strategist/planner now instead of being on the front lines. you might notice by her appearance that she takes a lot of similarities from a hazbin hotel character: yes, this is intentional. sera was a big inspiration for this design.

|apheno(they/them)|

apheno is based off of apollo. i made this one just today but im not so sure about it so idk i might update it. first of all, the blue hair and fur on the shoes/coat: because apollo is associated with and god of the sun, i thought giving him a kind of sky theme by making the fur and hair look like clouds would fit. this sun ordeal also inspires the orangeness of the coat and that spiky yellow design on it, which is supposed to be like a rising sun. there is also the bow which isnt too special but an inclusion i thought neccesary since apollo is also known as the god of archery.

Kendo - Kokomi, not only are they both good strategists but they both are really powerful <3

Kodai - kujo sara, both very strong and loyal yet very quiet.

Komori - tighnari, only because of that one scene in his trailer where hes drawing a mushroom

Shiozaki - Barbara, both members of the church.

Shishida - razor, theyre both very kind beasts lol

Shoda - bennett, both very kind people and both a little on the unlucky side. (One more than the other)

Pony - ganyu, horns... (leave me alone this is actually hard asf after a certain point lmaoo)

Tsubaraba - childe/ tartaglia - big flirts, thats about it.

Tetsutetsu - Itto, big strong manly men that are a little on the stupid side

Tokage - amber, both very energetic and happy to help

Manga - Yoimiya, both very energetic people that like kids. Plus theyre both artists.

Honenuki - xiangling, ive mentioned before that honenuki likes cooking

Bondo - zhongli, very tall and very nice.

Monoma - kaeya, similar personalitys i think (idk kaeya all that well rip)

Reiko - hu tao, both very spooky, thats all I got.

Rin - qiqi, his hero costume is based on a chinese zombie and she is a chinese zombie. And they both have a braid so.

Made in honor of my c6 wanderer + a new region being released in the next update (i think im not sure lmaooo)

i agree. im still counting on fred. maybe it's a little bit too early to judge him. as for what you said, them not being fired (esp xavi) charles said he didn't want xavi to get fired. he's one of the few people he trusts in there. it really tells u about the situation in the ferrari garage. also, about charles leaving ferrari. I want him gone too but the problem is where. redbull is not really possible. mercedes neither unless lewis does some stunt and decides to retire. I don't want him to go to alpine or am as much as they're doing well this season. We all know how those teams were in the past. It could very well be a one time wonder and it'll be even more painful watching him there. so really, right now there's no place for him to go.

Yess i saw charles wanted to keep xavi and yes that’s concerning.

Xavi is bad. There’s so many things that he’s messing up that are as simple as reading a screen and his communication with charles is just not good enough but he’s also getting a lot of shit for the decision of the strategists cause he’s the one conveying the message i feel. (but he still needs to go lmao)

But really thinking of Charles’ future in f1 makes me panic fr not because he’s not good enough but because no matter what the what ifs and hypothetical situations that i think of, there’s always something not lining up for him and to me that’s really scary.

Idk about fred we’ll have to see im praying at this point (haven’t prayed in years, ferrari made me religious again. it’s a masterplan😭)

anon!!!!!! i love you for this!!!! thank you for asking 💕💕💕 i have Many Thoughts. here is a summary (in tiny text because I can't do read-mores on mobile)

Wrex - could've been World Champ material if he hadn't gotten too big for single-seater cars by the time he was 14. He's in some kind of leadership role at Aralakh (the krogan team). Maybe chief strategist.

Tali - engineer at Normandy; fresh out of uni and quickly makes Adams' second in command. Becomes irate if asked how old she is and regularly threatens to commit acts of violence against Garrus with a wheel gun.

Liara - racing with Sovereign as of Delta canon (because of the Benezia / Saren link) but idk what I'm going to do with her after that.

Kaidan - racing with Alliance, the Normandy B Team (I'm imagining a Red Bull / AlphaTauri setup). He and Shepard dated for a while when they were in Formula 4 together and he maybe subs into Normandy for a bit during Year Five for plot reasons.

Vega - Anderson's PT and later Garrus's when he joins Normandy. I've written him and Ash as An Item before but honestly I like ace!Vega for this fic.

Thane - retired driver. He and Shepard dated for 6mo or so during her first year on the F1 grid, until she got cold feet about being a step-parent to an 18yr old lmao

Zaeed - retired driver. Got his face busted in a crash with Vido in the 80s and now uses his celeb status to blag entry into fancy F1 parties with open bars. He's got uuuuuhhhh a bit of a role to play at the end of Year One 😏😏

Grunt - driver for Aralakh. Behaves exactly how you'd expect Grunt to behave if given a 200mph chunk of carbon fibre. The rest of the grid give him a VERY wide berth off the start line.

Jack - undecided but I'd really like to find a way for her to steal a car from Cerberus. Maybe she's a disillusioned, mistreated drop-out from their young driver program.

Miranda - Cerberus driver. As per canon, she's with them mostly because they're about the only pie her father can't get his fingers into. Also looks phenomenal in a race suit, obviously.

Jacob - Cerberus driver no.2. No real plans for him beyond the fact of his existence.

Kasumi - Normandy's "requisitions" person. Need a hire car? Need an outfit for a black tie gala? Need dubiously-obtained rumours about a rival team's wind tunnel data? Kasumi's your gal.

Mordin - I feel like he'd be fun as a commentator but idk if he'd get much use that way

Cortez - Normandy's other race engineer (Anderson's and then subsequently Garrus's). Shepard keeps Joker throughout because no one else can put up with either of them for long enough

Kelly - Normandy's PR / media person. Shepard spends a lot of time trying to give her the slip.

Traynor - Normandy's chief strategist. A new hire during Year One or Two.

Chakwas - Normandy's team doctor, obviously.

Legion, EDI, Samara and Javik - no plans currently, but something might come up as I go.

to your post about patroclus' fighting skills- i was always under the assumption that it wasnt that he was Bad at fighting, but that his kindness and reluctance to fight first, ask later was seen as weakness and inability (rather than, yk. strength and decency.) like when push comes to shove, he fights, and he fights well, but i never saw him choose that as his first option, without already exhausting other choices. idk thats just how i interpreted it and i have way more thoughts but i dont want to clog up your askbox but i'd love to hear your take!! i will never stop talking about this book

side note: have you read circe yet? i didnt want to for a while bc i thought soa would be the peak but its So good, objectively funnier than soa simply bc the characters say fuck so much more often and nothing is fully taken seriously, but i also felt i could relate to circe more than i could to patroclus, although both are poignant, beautiful stories. if you havent read it, i highly recommend you do!

That’s the thing. Patroclus’ unwillingness to fight should’ve been depicted as his choice and NOT his inability. There are more than a few times where Achilles has to act as Patroclus’ guardian (asking him to get behind him when they face off Trojans on the beach, Pat telling Briseis that she needn’t worry because Achilles would always protect him etc) despite him being capable enough to defend himself (and Achilles, if it came to that). I just don’t like the fact that Miller painted Patroclus to be sort of a damsel in distress who always needs her ‘hero’ to come rescue her from the bad guys when canonically he was a renowned warrior and strategist (along with being the voice of reason and composure amongst the hot-headed Greeks).

I felt it played into the heteronormative stereotype of writing one half of the mlm couple to be more traditionally ‘feminine’ (he’s even compared to Cleopatra, for that matter) in order to not distract the attention from the glorification of real ‘HERO’ of the novel (though I’m very glad it didn’t play up your classic top-bottom trope). Other than that though, I thought it was a pretty solid novel, definitely one to pull on your heartstrings with the way it’s written.

also noooooo I haven’t read Circe yet, idk if more Greek mythology is something I need rn lmao. I’ve picked up the Mahabharat retelling by Devdutt Patnaik called ‘Jaya’ and will be finishing that first. Though I will definitely look it up in the future!

YES YES YES TO ALL YOUR POINTS!! they dont want to hold her accountable so they throw the fatui in the mix when as far as i rembeber they were not even mentioned in the 1stAQ. wtf.

also did they just think we'd accept that ei just did an oopsie just bec yae said so??? i like yae but maybe they shouldve involved her in the 1st AQ made her conspire with ayaka idk but i feel like they didnt give her chracter justice and that she was just there to excuse ei

the build up with kokomi was good and even the new islands but they got like 2min lol i even read one comment saying teppei had a longer bigger impact than kokomi wc is so funny bec it's true! and with what you mention about the inazumans i actually didnt realize that and it makes so much sense but then they just became voices to push us when youre right it shouldve been their fight PLUS it wouldve made more sense since we didnt want to fight in the war in the first place!

it has so much potential! and it's sad im so sad bec i love the quests and the story they make! i even loved the walking scene lol but i guess they spent the budget there and not writing their plot properly :/

exactly!!! if you didn't do the taratsuna quest, the fatui had like, NO presence in the story at all. if they wanted to make them THE bigger threat, signora should've been a present in the get-go. there should be more quests where signora does questionable things but she uses her schneznaya diplomat card to get away scott free. there should be more tension between the tri-commission and the fatui, but no one is willing to cross the line because that's going to break the 'peace' that they have. and the kujuo clan allying up with the fatui would even be more impactful, and that would add more depth to sara's character and even ayaka's tbh.

like there should really be more scenes with the inazuma characters where their faith in their archon is compromised because of what's happening; like either the scenario is kind of forcing them to defy the shogun or they have to do something they don't personally believe in. raiden's pursuit of eternity should be more emphasized not just with the story reminding us over and over that that's what she wants, rather, because of the actions that she's doing and the effects it has on people. the vision hunt decree is one way to do it but why not make it go further you know? to the point that she's harming the people that her friends died for. like she's so obsessed with her pursuit of her own eternity, and her own loneliness and everything that came in between that she loses her own focus, and then it took all the people to rally up and join their voices for her to route back again.

and yes they should've incorporated yae more! AT LEAST, introduce her in 2.1 story because if you didn't do the sakura cleansing ritual, again, you wouldn't even know who she is. there should be scenes where she's overseeing everything, either through her shrine maidens or her fox form or whatever.

and HONESTLY yeah teppei had more impact on the story than kokomi that's so sad LOL. if kokomi was such a good strategist why not show it? they keep telling us X character is good at something, Y character is good at something but they're not showing it!! and that's such a poor way to story tell. like why not have kokomi band the tri-commission together to fight against the shogun--or rather, what's left of the kajuo + the kamisato and also the other one (i forgot the name lol) since if the tri-commission is representing the people of inazuma, and their people ARE being harmed, isn't it their job to protect them? that would be in kokomi's interest since they have a common enemy now--the fatui-- so it would make sense to take advantage of that situation AND further her own cause. like honestly after everything i can really see people dropping raiden and following the sangonomiya clan bc kokomi stood up for them more than raiden ever did LOL. which is why again, i said i won't be surprised if an uprising in inazuma starts.

and YAH it has so much potential but it was just poorly executed!! like the cool cutscenes and animations aren't going to distract us from the poor writing and i'm NOT even asking for like a super in depth story or whatever, i just want it to make SENSE and that one did not even meet that bar. i really am not a fan of how they just gave raiden another personality so she won't be held accountable for the shit that happened. and besides, if baal was supposed to be the 'kind' ruler, wouldn't it make sense if ei was the more ruthless one? and it's really just disappointing because they just keep saying over and over that the shogun's pursuit of eternity is unyielding but when u get to the story apparently it isnt and it just takes for a call out post to get her to stop lmao

Hell everyone that tht thy were on their side when i watch their pov n thy still think thy are. And also when while i was watching antfrost pov thy were waiting n doing nothing which is great for them after all chaos is what thy wanted. Then they r " recognize" by the dream smp. Dream acted all high and mighty thinking tht no matter wut thy do itll be nothing bc he sees them like lmanburg when in reality the four of them are in sync, thy are clever, n observent thy dont cause as much conflict as the lmanburg.

Antfrost is a great strategist

ok so THIS was difficult snxjms and as you asked afterwards, i also added why i feel this way way about them! love u 💖 sorry this turned out long tho

my list:

BELPHEGOR — i mean, it’s kinda obvious, right? (cough bbelphie is the name of the blog) ever since the start of the game, i wandered about who the fuck that resting bitch face boy was. like, honestly curious. when we met him at the attic, the first thing i thought about belphie was how manipulative he was, and although i’d have hated him, his situation and the game’s universe in general made me reconsider my choice. i found out that he was so much more complex than what i first thought of him. and i LOVE characters like that. belphegor had his reasons, his own past and way of seeing things and i just wanted to know him better, not just because i was curious, but because i’ve grown to like him, in a way. it wasn’t instantaneous, but i kinda saw that coming, you know? i’m not sure if i can explain well how i feel about him (i can’t express my feelings well in any way cof) but belphegor was the character that i was most eager to know about. (ouch i have so many other things to say about him) also he’s a sassy little shit and i love him for that.

MAMMON — the fact mammon was with us since the beginning is a big part of this place (but not the only one). and yeaaah, i know he was a little bitch about looking after mc and i was also blinded by my prejudice against personality based characters like him (narcissist, arrogant, show off) but then we get to know him better. mammon has so much more sides of his personality than that. (besides being a tsun tsun) so by that scene when we were competing against levi and lucifer saved us because mammon couldn’t make it in time, mammon was like “next time I will be the one saving you!!” i was already “YES YOU IDIOT I LOVE YOU TOO” and it was just downhill from there.

SATAN — honestly? he’s my type. the intellectual one, cat lover, fan of mystery and detective books and all that shit made me fall for him, hard. and then i saw his backstory and i fell for him EVEN HARDER. he has sooo much i want to know about! behind the facade he wears constantly in front of everyone there was so much more than the sin he’s avatar of. his arc was one of the lessons i loved the most, without doubt. though i wished the devs had gone deeper into his character, like uhhh i don’t know how to elaborate on this, but i feel we scratched only the surface of who satan really is. (besides that, satan def would be a beast in bed and my hcs about that does’t end)

LEVIATHAN — ahh it was too difficult to choose between him and beel. but i relate to levi quite a lot — animes, self depreciation, manga and all that stuff. he striked me as someone i wouldn’t like so much at the beginning but i’ve grown to love him. that was because of... well, i know envy is the deadly sin he’s avatar of, but man it’s annoying sometimes dnbfxk however! i love him either way. i just think that he should appreciate more things in life instead instead of putting himself down but who i am to talk? i used to be like that and i still am, just not as much. that must be most of the reasons of why i want to be by his side and reassure him that not everything in life is unfair, but can also be a way to make ourselves stronger. taking that emotional shit aside, i love his fanboy side!! i rant a lot about the things i like, especially animes and mangas, and seeing him so enthusiastic about things like that makes me feel like with him, i would act like myself the most.

BEELZEBUB — i love himbo!!! the giant, strong one that looks like he could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll? yes, sign me the fuck in. he’s the sOFTEST i swear to god almost all the scenes that made my heart explode with love was with him. when he asked to hold your hand while sleeping because he’s afraid of having any more nightmares about lilith and belphie and their fall from the celestial realm made my heart go BOOM. i would do ANYTHING for this boy 😭😭 beel was first i warmed up to in the game! i was gonna put him in the fourth place with levi but it would be too long.

LUCIFER — hhh this guys right here. ngl i was intimidated as fuck at first. but then i saw how he was family driven, always putting their safety and well being first and overall just being a loving brother, tho very discretely. and bruh characters like that are my DEATH??? he is so soft for the ones he loves and would do anything in his power to make them be safe and sound, even if it takes some sacrifices. i was touched by his past, how he had to hide so much from his brothers because he felt he should carry his burden alone. i especially love when lucifer tears off that prideful and powerful facade and shows that he’s capable of loving and being vulnerable and just idk man it just hits home im gonna cry

ASMODEUS — baby boy. lusty boy. ntt solmare did him dirty. he deserves SO MUCH MORE!! asmo has so much potential to be a favorite if only they had developed him better. that arc of his when we make a pact with him was lacking, in my opinion. the devs could have gone deeper into his character, showing that his not just a personification of lust, only its avatar. i’m sure there are different sides to his personality, you know? we’ve been seeing hints throughout the story and devilgrams (most of the time they’re very subtle!!) that asmo needs or/and constantly wants to feel loved, wanted, desired and/or admired. that could be a trauma or something of the sort that was created after his fall from the celestial realm. however this theory of mine is not full developed yet so i can’t really tell you guys about it in more detail. i still love him nevertheless!!

others characters:

SOLOMON — he is shady. and powerful. i love that. besides that, i think i may have a thing for white haired characters. but really, i love this guy, don’t know how but i do. there’s a lot i wanna know about him, and i feel he’s hiding or planning something big. and maybe evil. but ngl his interactions with asmo are the best!!

SIMEON — ara ara baby. i’m 100% in love with him. simeon is someone really good to have as a favorite honestly. even if he doesn’t get much screentime, anyone would realize that ever since the beginning he’s a very truthful person, with calming and chill vibes. i don’t know how to explain it well but with all the shit the brothers make mc go through, it wouldn’t be a surprise if you find yourself overwhelmed, and simeon is exactly the kind of person that makes you feel heard and seen; his atmosphere has this effect of making people feel at ease.... cough cough anyways a little bit nsfw but to me he’s either really kinky (without noticing or even knowing anything about kinks) or super innocent. that’s pretty much why i’ve seen this 50/50 aspect appearing constantly with his stans. p.s: not to be lewd but i wanna hold his hand 😳

LUKE — he’s my baby brother. i adopted him.

DIAVOLO — there’s so much of this guy we haven’t seen yet!! i know he’s like a cool dad and all but bruh, he’s the next demon king!! he must be a excelent strategist and is more powerful and intelligent than he lets on. i saw so many theories about diavolo, but my favorite so far is the one where diavolo kinda caused the celestial war indirectly. he’s another character that i feel we’ve only scratched the surface.

BARBATOS — everything about him screams “SUSPICIOUS”, he just hides it better than solomon. ngl i was rly curious about him and his powers and then i discovered he has control over TIME?? that’s too overpower!! but damn, i do love characters with time control powers...(victor from mlqc im looking at you) sometimes he looks like a dead fish. sometimes he looks hot. i don’t know bruh i’m half scared and half aroused by this guy.

that’s pretty much it i think? lmao there’s so much more i wanna say about them but this is all that comes to my mind right now!

Izuki

Why I like them: izuki’s just overall so amazing! he inspires me to give my best in the stuff i do, and although it sounds a bit silly i try to be a person that he’d be proud of. his puns are hilarious and well-thought-out (as a person who loves words and word jokes, i’m naturally drawn to him lol). they’re also a way to take the heat off the team, he’s so hardworking and never views obstacles as obstacles, rather as hills he must climb to find newer skies. he’s also rather clever and employs his brains to great effect when his body fails him! izuki embodies the meaning of ‘eagle’ in the truest sense - waiting to strike when the time is right and not failing when it is.

Why I don’t: *sweats* can’t really think of a reason i don’t like izuki, at all??? i guess he can overwork himself a lot and tends to keep his true emotions hidden which could lead to misunderstandings between friends (although this is totally headcanon territory lol)... i also didn’t like the ableist comment he passed on hayama (“i’m just glad you weren’t smarter than me”). but i think he can (and will!) grow from that kind of stuff, he is that kind of person so yeah no particular reason for me to dislike him at all

Favorite episode (scene if movie): how dare you make me pick s3 e8 izuki vs kasamatsu, hands down. i know its like cliche or whatever but that moment just told me so much about izuki as a character? he’s willing to do what it takes to win, he’s adaptable and dependable and he doesn’t let shit get him down ever. it’s gorgeous

Favorite season/movie: s3, he got some fantastic moments in there!! although i will say i loved the spotlighting he got in s1 in the seihō match

Favorite line: “Fear isn't a bad thing. There are some things that can only be done by cowards.” this is first of all such a nice thing to say. ‘fear is not bad’ is just... so fucking wise? keep in mind that this boy is 17, i’ve met 30 year olds who are less mature. secondly it feels like izu’s speaking from experience?? like he has a lot to be scared of, i’m sure. particularly of falling behind and being a burden to his teammates. but it’s that ‘cowardice’ that drives him to practice so so hard. that visceral terror of weighing on seirin is what pushes izuki beyond his limits - which is why here he can empathise with furi’s fear, and knows how best to employ it.

Favorite outfit: look i hate last game w/ a passion but that lil tie/shirt/hoodie thing he had going? that was literally so cute. izuki in general has a p great fashion sense but his last game outfit takes the cake <3

OTP: hyuuizu oh my god i could talk for years about them but since this post is gonna be very long i’ll refrain. just. they are perfect they are fucking perfect

Brotp: kiyoizu!! kiyoshi is izuki’s biggest enabler and i love that for him <3

Head Canon: izuki can be very very passive aggressive when he’s angry at someone/sad and gets cold and withdrawn. it’s not fun to experience but tbh if you upset him you probably deserve it

Unpopular opinion: izuki should’ve been naturally better in canon. it’s not fair to shaft him and give the ‘trier’ thing off to himuro. that being said i am p happy with who he is as a person

A wish: i want to know how izuki felt after middle school! izuki’s and riko’s backstory focuses so much on hyuuga its dumb >:( he also would’ve been demoralised but he didn’t quit bball and i would like to know his thought process!

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: i. uh. i guess izu quitting basketball. because i genuinely cannot see that happening. it brings him so much joy, he should never stop cold turkey. i can imagine old man izuki hobbling about a court giving little kids pointers and making them laugh T-T

Kiyoshi

Why I like them: lots of reasons! kiyoshi is an admirable person. he’s strong, yet friendly and gentle, and he loves his team above all else, which i just find beautiful. i find his manipulative side also pretty cool, bc it shows off how multifaceted he is.

Why I don’t: this is more of a fandom reason but i really dislike how kiyoshi is always said to have had the greatest impact in hyuuga’s story. he badgered and manipulated hyuuga, and while some may argue hyuuga needed that push, it only worked bc hyuuga had had time to think about shit. he’d also been given space by riko and izuki (two integral parts of his life whom the fandom looooves to sideline for uwu kiyo//hyuu).

Favorite episode (scene if movie): yousen match (can’t pick the episodes)! i loved the backstory we got for kiyo vs mura and i loved how kiyoshi was willing to smile and play but also refused to lose. he truly stole the show despite kagami being the one to finally take down murasakibara, it was gorgeous <3

Favorite season/movie: s2 for sure. kiyoshi wasn’t allowed to shine much after yousen imo - all the focus was on hyuuga kagami and kuroko, and to a lesser extent izuki. not complaining, but yeah

Favorite line: “Let’s go have some fun.” i know it’s kinda cliche but i do love how kiyoshi’s always thinking about playing a good game and enjoying basketball. he wants to play because he loves it and as someone who loves a sport as much as kiyoshi loves b-ball, that love is so poignant and tender

Favorite outfit: practice clothes! kiyoshi looks great in pink <3

Head Canon: kiyoshi is half-iranian on his mother’s side and is muslim. i won’t say too much because i am not muslim myself, i need to do more research into this but i’ve had this headcanon for quite a while now!

Unpopular opinion: he should be bullied more for the fact that his canon power is having yaoi hands

A wish: kiyo finds something he loves as much as b-ball. he can’t canonically play at this level again, so if he found another sport/competition/anything, it’d be amazing

Why I like them: im a lesbian, next. /j i love her because she’s so tenacious and driven. yet she’s also kind and gentle, and never loses her humanity. she cares, and she cares hard. she’s so fucking smart too like... coaching a hs basketball team at 17 against players of NBA calibre and making them win? i could never. seirin without riko is nothing.

Why I don’t: i dont like the constant slapstick of her beating up her boys. also, i dislike how the narrative forces her to act ‘feminine’ and then has the boys think of it as nothing. like first of all if someone like her offered me a kiss i would so take 100, and secondly... why is a girl’s worth so tied to her femininity? it’s awful

Favorite episode (scene if movie): her sending in furi vs kaijō, early in s3. it was an exceedingly smart move that could have only come from her knowing her players’ strengths and weaknesses intimately, and being a brilliant coach. just amazing <3

Favorite season/movie: all of them! riko has some amazing moments each season, so i can’t really pick

Favorite line: “Humans grow. Don't act like you understand when you don't even realize that!” here, riko knows and knows well that she is in her element. momoi might have the data, but riko understands adaptability and knows how to predict stuff. in that way, one can draw parallels between takao vs izuki and momoi vs riko: takao and momoi are recon experts, whereas riko and izuki are strategists. momoi uses raw data; riko manipulates the data to her advantage

Favorite outfit: idk if this is exactly an outfit but her glasses are so cute oh my gosh. (i’d kill to see her in a leather jacket tho)

well.

i know that for magnus the really obvious answer would be like “magic” and obviously that’s valid because he is fucking great at magic but. i can also see him being like, an iron man sorta hero? like obviously he is not tony stark and we’re not including the war crimes part here, but a kind of self-made hero who doesn’t have powers, but is a goddamn genius and turned himself into one? or maybe he does have magic and is a genius (like in canon lmaoo)

like some doctor strange stuff? ive actually never seen or read doctor strange or any media that features him all i know is that he’s played by the cucumber guy and can see alternate realities but there’s doctor in his name so i assume he’s smart. if he’s not ignore this. anyway magnus having magic (maybe just one specific kind instead of like, general magic like in the show? like idk he can open portals or something of the sort) and being super damn smart too and figuring out new technologies to defend himself and shit and creating new and great ways to mix his powers and that? that’s some good shit

as for alec. well again the obvious answer would be some sorta hawkeye shit which again is valid because i do think that archery, like, suits alec. it’s not just something he does in the show, i think it’s something that reflects his personality and talents - he likes to be a little behind so he has a greater view of the whole picture, so he can have the backs of the people he loves, so he can watch them and make sure they’re fine, so he can be their protector and also see everything with strategy and knowledge and help them. he’s kind of a playmaker you know (i don’t watch sports either but i watched high school musical and troy bolton made this metaphor so i have good sources here). and he’s level headed, precise, strategical, smart

but i can super see him being kind of a.... more like, background guy? like idk he’s the dude who stays in the ship and keeps an eye on everyone and kind of guides them. again the playmaker. kinda like nick fury i suppose, like he keeps the whole team together and lets them know of the big picture they obviously can’t see while they’re down there handling details, he coordinates them and keeps them on the loop and kind of designs their moves. again a strategist, you know? and that’s really cool

and welp i can’t help but think details here so i super like the idea that magnus is like, recruited later (possibly he had escaped his abusive father? and he learnt through that experience that cops are useless when people actually need them lmao, so he becomes this kind of vigilante who swoops in during violent encounters and tries to figure out ways to help the community? hmmm really like that). like there was already this group of superheroes who kind of handled big villains (like asmodeus himself mayhaps? hmmm much to think about. maybe he kinda becomes a villain after magnus escapes because he’s trying to get him back.... idk) and they take notice on magnus even if he’s very minor in the sense that he doesn’t really handle huge villains, his thing is more local cries for help and trying to improve the community life to prevent crime, you know

anyway because his efforts are clearly paying off he draws whoever’s responsible for recruiting the heroes’ attention (oooh let’s make that ragnor). and he kinda is doing his own thing but then he learns that they’re trying to take down asmodeus and ofc he feels responsible. also, well- his work was focused on empowering the communities, and now that they’re more organized they are doing fine on their own and taking care of themselves. plus he’s kinda hated by cops obviously so he is offered immunity. so he agrees

and then of course the first person he’s introduced to is alec because alec is kinda the brains of the whole thing and he’s just keeping magnus in the loop. but magnus is scared that everyone is going to judge/hate him because he’s asmodeus’ son and cue like, outsider angst. also i mean they’re all pretty... close? and magnus is the guy who just got here, so, you know

i mean obviously he makes his own friends, ragnor and cat and rapha, but they’re all kind of in the supporting team (maybe cat and rapha are responsible for like, keeping an eye out to know whenever there is a problem? and intelligence ofc. i’m kind of picturing that this runs parallel to official government stuff like the police, like no outside influence. but they get a nod because the cops themselves can’t handle the shit they do. idk). oh and ELIAS cuz im a sucker for elias (maybe he’s a legal advisor or handles external relationships or something? idk why but i can really see him being good at this). but anyway, ANYWAY, the point is that he’s not really close with the Mission Group, which sucks because it’s what he’s doing

but welp alec’s job is to keep them all in sync after all, and also he lowkey understands because he is part of the ops team but isn’t (even if obviously there are several layers to magnus’ situation that don’t apply to alec) and well alec is canonically like, sensible? when it comes to magnus, he pays attention when others don’t, that’s what drew magnus to him in the first place. so he kinda of nudges him into being closer to the rest of the team. like he knows izzy will be interested in magnus’ technology since she also works with that, so he makes sure to mention it, and he very subtly and smartly makes sure that magnus is a part of the conversation in no time, and it all flows very naturally and he’s just. sitting back watching magnus get along feeling proud of himself. and then magnus kind of turns to him and smiles and mouths thank you, don’t think i didn’t notice. and maybe winks. and poof there it is, the Talking To Magnus Smile

and well probably more drama before the “i’m asmodeus’ son” reveal, because he’s scared they will all hate him, but they are just like. “oh magnus, i’m so sorry you had to go through that, i can’t imagine what it’s like” and everyone supports him and it’s like Validation. and alec is all like “wow i will make sure personally that we end him forever” and adisdiaudha cute

also alec is super interested in the work magnus had been doing for crime prevention because he kind of thinks that having to fight villain after villain after villain when they never stop coming is. not a waste of time but kind of sisyphus’ work. and magnus tells him about it and also about all the shit he’s invented and about his magic and maybe even shows it to him and alec is just like :)!!!!!!!!

and it also feels good to have a team for once because he was always doing everything by himself feeling unbearably lonely and unimportant, like no one would miss the him that’s behind the mask and just like, when he’s hurt, they notice? and alec brings backup? and makes sure he’s okay? and he has people to watch his back? and it’s nice

i just :)) love magnus slowly becoming part of a community and making friends and being included and loved okay, and also helping them improve and being a valuable member and just being his amazing self? ugh we stan

and then idk they defeat asmodeus and everything, idk what they do to him lol but magnus probably joins the group and helps make some changes in their work so he can do something similar to his previous m.o, on a larger scale? and yeah :)

(I think this is my longest liveblog I’ve done, but then again I feel like this is the most emotional a tv episode has made me since I finished Black Sails so like?)

i’d love for bran and tyrion to both survive, i’d love to see them talk more as equals because they’re so similar intellectually (i know they had scenes when bran was a kid, but that doesn’t count)

missandei and greyworm are too good and pure for this earth, i want them to leave, i want them to go to naath and never come back, i want them to find a little house by the water and eat fruits and find missandei’s family and take in some stray children, some street cats to lay lazily on the stones of their porch, maybe missandei teaches the children of their village every morning under the rising sun, maybe greyworm becomes a tradesman, makes shoes or ale or binds books for the locals, they grow old and content together and the children they took into their home, now grown adults with their own children, bury them side by side underneath carved stones, i want them more than almost anyone to have a happy ever after because if anyone deserves it it’s those two

i’m so glad that they gave arya agency, and a sweet, un-sexploited, in-character sex scene, there’s so few really good sex scenes in this show and i’m glad she got one of them

(no matter how long i spent the first time around watching through my fingers and cringing, i KNOW she’s an adult and maisie is an adult but god she’s still such a kid in my eyes)

i appreciate them showing her scars as part of it, i can’t quite put my finger on why but it was nice to see that

i feel like once i get over the weirdness of like, “hey that’s arya”, it’s probably one of the hotter sex scenes in the series? just for passion and use of consent and stuff

i can’t even begin to elaborate on how perfect brienne’s scene is

it’s immediately one of my favourite scenes in the whole show, i honestly don’t have the words

it’s better than any marriage vows that have been taken in the whole series, and to see brienne proud and happy is just...incredible.

this is such a touching scene between two of my faves, i want jorah and sam to be pals forever but i know its just....not happening

the fact that sam starts in the crypt but i know he ends up on the battlefield is....concerning to say the least
