You know what feature we need to bother staff for next? Other people’s posts getting flagged as counting towards “strikes” on our blogs.

I've been going through my blog today, looking at my reblogged fav art pieces and sadly realized that some of my fav artists have deleted their blogs and I unfortunately don't know where else to find them. So turns out I have The Bronchitis..... which is annoying to know I've had something treatable for an entire week. BUT! I'm on the road to recovery now!

Starting yesterday I played some Potion Permit (which I've had purchased for a... while..... and never really played it until yesterday). I named my chemist Adam and he's just a really good boy! I hc him as mute? So like as he diagnoses people and treats them he just kinda. gestures and emotes a lot?

I was talking to someone about it yesterday like "it's so funny how I look at this romance option and go AH YES Dr. Strange. HE HATES ME AND I WILL MAKE HIM THE MOST MISERABLE PERSON ALIVE via friendship." And then I was on the wiki page and saw how the PPermit refers to bachelors/bachelorettes? "Romance Target". It feels like an assassination mark. I'm ready to kill this man with my love and he will hate every second of it.

Know it's likely Not That Deep and everyone probably knows this already or something but increasingly troubled by the way that 'joking' in-group homophobic stereotypes feel like they're starting to spread into some people's legitimate conception of what it means to be gay / part of the 'in-group' or community...

#sorry to seriouspost on my 99% fandom blog but starting to get depressed with experiences of online AND IRL queer community #i don't find gay people are unathletic / bad at math / bad at driving / oblivious to flirting etc jokes that funny actually #and i think we should maybe stop perpetuating negative stereotypes about ourselves for the good of everyone #especially when they wrap around into just. reinforcing extant homophobic stereotypes #like we should not think that 'i'm bad at math cause I'm gay haha' is a funny relatable harmless thing to say?#or that gay men don't Do Sports?#or that lesbians are too passive to initiate relationships?#idk just. i'll delete this later but it's starting to feel actively weird and alienating when people say these things #like they're actually just fine or funny or harmless / part of a presupposed group stereotype

You know, it's heart shattering that war in Ukraine is almost 2 years and there is no single repost in your blog on that matter...

And the problem is that ordinary citizens of other countries are not aware of the horrors of the war and the real numbers of Ukrainian casualties. The overall figures are based on UN reports, which are far from reality. They do not contain horror stories about the torture of the civilian population, the rape of not only women, but newborn children, not to mention the murders that the Russians carry with them. And there are tens of thousands of such stories if not more...

You know, and now almost every family, even in regions far from the war, feels pain and are suffering, because someone's father, someone's husband or someone's son were killed, whom without being military, went to defend their country.

And for those who say that Ukraine is to blame or that the problem arose because of the EU and NATO, it is not so. Because as we can see, as of today, Ukraine still does not have the opportunity or potential to be a member of these organizations.

So why did I write all this? Because I really love your work, but I can't understand: how is it to condemn the war in one country, but not notice it in another?

The people of Gaza, and Palestinians in general, are not at war. They are being murdered in an ethnic cleansing and my country, and many others, are not only supporting that but providing them the funding they need to commit said genocide against civillians and children.

The horrors happening in Ukraine are awful. It definitely deserves more attention. But you don't need to entirely dismiss the atrocities happening in Gaza to do so.

You are also ignoring vital context; Ukraine has been reported on, spoken on, for the entire war. They've recieved military support. Monetary aid. Everyone is for them and I've never needed to tell my countries governement to support Ukraine, they already are.

But the political powers, right now, are supporting Isreal. They are supporting genocide. And the only times they aren't able to send that support? It is because we, the people, are stopping them from doing so. It is extremely vital in this case, with Gaza, to keep speaking on it and keep people informed. To keep people motivated.

More than 11,000 people have been murdered in Gaza. The UN has called it "a childrens graveyard". There are Isrealis who sit and watch the bombing of Gaza like it's a fireworks display.

I haven't seen anyone blame Ukraine, and I don't doubt that there are people saying that, but I have seen plenty of people blame Gaza. I've seen plenty of people blame Islam. I've seen plenty of people say that they feel nothing for the children being murdered.

Also, if you love my work so much then you probably should have noticed by now that I haven't really spoken about things that could be considered political that much before this. I spoke about things like the Queen dying and the missile that landed in Poliand, during the Russia - Ukraine war.

It's not because I'm ignoring any of it. It's because this is my dumb little fandom blog where I smash Stranger Things characters together like they're my Barbie dolls. It's a way to talk about my hyperfixation without annoying people irl, who I annoy enough by talking about politics, constantly.

But the horrors happening in Gaza, to Palestinians, is so horrible, so beyond unforgivable, that I feel like I have to talk about it. And I have a platform now- reblogging things about Palestine will bring more attention to it and, who knows, maybe one person will feel motivated to do something. I can only hope.

people acting like there isn't still very much an active stigma against cannibas and cannibas users is going to be my joker origin story

when i go to the doctor they still put cannibas use under the tab "substance abuse". not even just substance use. it is fully assumed that people who use cannabis, even as a prescription medication, are abusing it. just because you're friends with a couple of dumbass stoners doesn't mean that we've abandoned the idea as a culture that weed is a bad and scary and dangerous and highly addictive drug that will ruin your life if you use it once

#idk what its like in other countries but in the us and especially in red states fear mongering about weed is alive and well #'it ruins lives' -direct quote from a library board member making it so we can be fired for testing positive even w a prescription #i just take umbrage with posts about addiction that go out of their way to mention weed which we all learned in 6th grade is addictive #but dont also mention that this true of all prescription drugs and that a person can be dependant on a drug for health reasons???#yeah i get anxious and cant go a day without weed. because i use it to treat my anxiety and pain. i also get anxious without my wellbutrin #but people arent lining up to make posts about it?? and like you CAN obviously become addicted to prescription drugs its super common!#so i kind of feel like it would be far more useful to say 'this is true of ALL drugs. including weed caffeine and prescriptions'#you should always research ANY drug you take. prescription or not. find out about addictiveness + side effects + other drug interactions #and you should talk to someone if you feel anxious about your relationship to drugs. prescription or not #there have been many times where i was prescribed way too many drugs at once and it made me feel anxious and uncomfortable #so i talked to my doctors and consolidated several and it actually made them work a lot better #locked reblogs because i KNOW people are going to read this is 'so you should never ever talk about negative consequences of weed'#and im pretty sure the people who follow me will be able to understand thats obviously not what im saying #but as soon as it leaves my blog whos to say. but anyway like.
