I'm not really watching Fiona and Cake because I really can't rn, but I'm seeing spoilers n junk. So do you mind if I ask some semi-inappropriate questions I hear nobody asking?

Okay, does Billy not have a PP? If so why was he wearing loin cloths? AND pants! Did it fall off when the Lich skinned/possessed him? If so, why? And is the Lich genderless/sexless? He's just a soul that came from the materials in a Nuke/asteroid. Does anyone he posses become this way as well? He's just a 'he' mainly because his bones are recycled from a boy that was near the explosion.

Long cartoons ramble lol

That was from my queue but making me think abt s2 my biggest fear is s2 is simon being like out of the main story like as a character that just sometimes comes up not just because I like him like yeah but way more importantly I really liked how the dynamic and friendship between him and fionna and cake developed because it was like so extremely important for the entire world building and I get sorta miffed when people are like, uhhh it's fionna and cake not fionna cake and simon get over it 🙄 let other characters (finn gets brought up a lot here) take the spotlight, like firstly you're contradicting yourself because I don't see Finn in the title either, and not to say I don't want to see more of him (I do! And I anticipate more of him!) But he was NOT actually a major part of the story! And isn't actually all the relevant to fionna he NEVER was in the og series, ice king was, but lemme back up. . .

From the beginning, fionnaworld existing in Simon's mind, was entirely impacted by his feelings, which wasn't just the lack of magic it was the fact he was depressed and getting to his wits end, feeling out of place, that's why fionna was so sad in her world, "I'm not feeling like myself today" etc, it wasn't like in a vacuum she was 100% intertwined with him (always was! Ice king wrote her stories!) And the beginning of their relationship was this sort of hostility like simon being angry to know she even existed and wasn't just a foolish machination of the insane ice king, and his peers are like ohhhh we loved those comics ice king wrote, and meanwhile simon is like repeatedly attempting suicide (which would have killed fionnas entire world. Btw.) Fionna is a little more open to him, but leaning towards her self interest of the fact that if he dies her world does, cake meanwhile is like damn this guy sucks.

By the end of the journey though, fionna genuinely cares about him so much she'd rather risk losing the battle to save her and her world than for simon to destroy himself for her (and she does this twice actually! The first time when they were with the lich and fionna had secretly picked up the crown and tried to hide it so simon wouldn't put it on, she even fights with cake over it, her bestie cake), simon cares so much he (ALSO TWICE) tries to go against Betty's wishes to save fionnas world with the crown, and at FIRST it was like a convenient excuse to psychologically off himself like welp I don't care if I live or die, if I throw my brain awake this person lives, then it's settled. Later its like, he so genuinely wants to make the sacrifice he tries doing it in front of his chaos God wife (when originally.. the plan was to see her, apologize, and die with her)

After fionnas world became it's own thing separate from simon.. like, the parallel cannot be missed here, the fact that her world was represented by a dandelion she wished on to save, the fact that Betty blew simon away like blowing like a dandelion wishing for him to go back home and live, he and fionna stay in contact across the multiverse to be friends. And their friendship and love for one another peaked at this point, when they are no longer like involuntarily bound together, they both chose to make the best of the lives they have (fionnas being letting go of the magic she wanted to have, and learning to appreciate her world as it is .. which is better because the way it is, simon is not suffering (as ice king ) for it to exist. That's what her nightmare about the freezer was about.)

Like all the themes and parallels between fionna and simon are so fucking intertwined I cannot even understand why you'd want to see less of that :[ even if it's not the main focus of like, whatever stakes will be introduced in s2, their bond should still be like.. very prominent I feel?? To be like "well we don't need simon anymore since fionnas on her own" kinda like dumps out all of the stuff I was just talking abt yknow?? And idk like rip to you but I'm different ig but was it not super sweet and cute for a peppy 30 year old failwoman, her sassy talking cat, and a 59 year dorky widower with a heart of gold to be adventure buddies like..? :[

"Well Simon's story with betty concluded" I hear a lot well, okay! First of all the conclusion sucked but w/e that's a hot topic of debate, but more importantly, that's fine, that part can be concluded and. The conclusion was (the better part of it) that simon should stop letting his grief about betty kill him from the inside out and instead live the life she sacrificed herself for him to have. So... that.. lines up? Perfectly in fact?? that sets him up for s2 to have more than not a clean slate on one of the most major parts of his character since forever (betty) like if his journey is no longer about her then. He's like pretty fresh to do whatever. And what was ADDED to him was his relationship with fionna and cake. And as much as I WISH he got a happier end with betty, it is what it is, I'm very much ready for simon new game+ where he's happier and (especially since s1 set him up as like being pretty alone and isolated even from the people who love him b/c they're living their own fulfilling lives) gets a reprise with fionna and cake and they're like, his next closest people, and she like, gets another adventure with the person connected to the world of magic she wanted (who himself isn't even magic he's a human like her)

I don't wanna see that shoved to the side it would be heartbreaking!! They're friends! They care so fucking much about eachother! 😭 it's not just me right?? I can't be the only one who doesn't feel like their friendship is integral to the story 😭😭

okay finished the story have some very very disjointed ~thoughts~

lots of spoilers be warned!!!!

i loved it. LOVED. IT. i don’t know if it’s because i’ve always been fascinated by the deep sea dragon more than the rest, so any story involving her would be right up my alley, or what. but it followed through on so many breadcrumbs that have been laid over the years. the excess magic build up from us killing any dragon, lich, or god that got in our way. aurene being the prismatic dragon, the dragon of light. a prism to refract the errant forms of excess magic. the deep sea dragon being the “mother” kralk spoke of. so so good.

soo-won was beautiful. the idea of the original elder dragon, mother, being so kind and altruistic to allow herself to willingly be used as part of a power source for an entire group of people (and possibly, eventually, the entire WORLD)??? i love her so much. when she turned feral, rabid due to all that extra magic being pumped into her..... it was genuinely upsetting.

mai trin’s redemption was..... idk how to feel about it. she did sacrifice herself to save kaineng, but. i kind feel like doing something good doesn’t make you a good person. it doesn’t undo all the death and destruction she was a part of. but. i was SO FUCKING HAPPY to see her cats in arborstone at the end, though. legit made me a bit weepy lmao. also her being a revenant from all her time in the mists and her legend being scarlet? super fucking dope. loved that whole bit.

ankka was really shaping up to be an incredible villain. hardened and cold from what she had to do in the mists, i was disappointed we actually killed her. it feels like her being a big antagonist should have gone on for longer than it did.

my big q now though, story-wise is: if soo-won wasn’t the cause of all the chaos in the unending ocean and races fleeing their homes there because those events happened after she left, what’s going on there exactly? also: now that the dragons aren’t a problem anymore, what’s next?

the story ending was super sweet with everyone gathering at the dead end bar for kasjory’s engagement. the whole gang back together. <3

cantha is gorgeous. i went through all the maps and story as best as i could without mounts to really feel the scale of them, and i highly recommend that! i never played gw1 and only know of certain characters from woodenpotatoes lore videos, but it was still cool to see all these callbacks to old characters and locations and to see how things have changed. the jump from seitung province to new kaineng city was the perfect amount of culture shock. like a cute rural setting then BAM high tech city. very cool.

I LOVE FISHING. SO MUCH. at first i was a bit “oh noooo this is too hard” but the more i fish the more i realize its almost exactly like in stardew valley and that is NOT a bad thing. i’ve spent hundreds of hours in sdv, i’ve caught all the legendary fish many times across all my saves. once its leveled up it’s one of my favorite thing to do in game. the only difference in gw2, mechanically, is that instead of pressing 1 button to raise the bar up and it falls down on it’s own, there are now 2 buttons to move the bar left or right. i’ve only fished in cantha so far, can’t wait to fish the rest of tyria’s waters!

also the skiff is neat. not much to wax poetic about it. it does its job, and i eagerly await what skins will be released for it. i’d love one that looks like a viking ship, or something like those swan boats from lotr!

the metas: seitung was okay, but makes sense for a first map, and it’s story appropriate with the aetherblades. a huge multi lane dragonstand-style meta wouldn’t fit the setting. new kaineng: same deal but loved fighting the big jade thing at the end, also story appropriate with the blackouts. also loved seeing more of yao. echovald was my favorite so far. going from dealing with rival gangs to grouping together (reluctantly) to fight a void-crazed jade mech was really cool. haven’t done the final map meta yet. also don’t have the turtle yet.

oh yeah. ARBORSTONE. i only have the first mastery done for that, but the place is gorgeous. anet really nailed the scale for the new maps wowzers. not much else to be said at this point other than it’s beautiful.

legendaries are also beautiful. i’m really leaning toward the hammer (glances at the sharur precursor that’s been on a side-toon for two years).

overall, this is exactly what i wanted from this expansion (save from a few things we knew we weren’t gonna get like playable tengu rip). i connected with the story more than i have with the previous two expansions. now i just gotta try out the other elite specs (i did the whole story on a cele/viper harbinger and it was fun!) and do more metas and level my masteries!

fandoms: ok first off i wanna say i dont . consider myself a fic writer? the one on my account ^ began on a whim. back in the sweet days of yore, summer 2019, on like my fifth watch of rocketman. the part where bernie says "we'll go to my raench. we’ll hide awaehy" hit, and i was like...... um. holy fucking shit. the idea was born. and so i was like, omg i bet ppl ARE writing fics about this. so i went, and i 👀, and i saw the dynamics people were wanting to read about, etc... & the particular one i skimmed through didnt do it for me. like, it just wasnt.. believable where it needed to be, stuff like that. ppl were wanting to read/write about an abusive relationship, but that random one, to ME, was totally off the mark. so, i took the idea i had (the ranch idea, which had branched by this stage into the telephone thing..), and concocted a story that depicted that in a more accurate, there-is-absolutely-nothing-sexy-about-this way. the answer to this question is: rocketman

two-shot?: i..do not know what this really means. i know what a one shot is? hmmm. perhaps you could consider nlh a two-shot considering im lich writing a companion story for it ☺️ xx stay tuned for that x

do you outline: i doooo. i think you need to, to some degree. like even the bare minimum. i DO love the freedom of taking it in any direction at any given time, but i also enjoy knowing where im headed and where i need to bring everything. the one im writing now, i think, is a lot more steadily outlined than the first one was.

ideas you probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice: i dont actually plan on writing any more after this. ALTHOUGH i have a like lighthearted funny fantasy story based entirely on captain fantastic (the song) that has nothing to do with this, that i started writing on the side, in ye olde drafts. so who knows hunniez

best writing traits: i havent got any idea. again, someone who has read it might be better at answering this.. ummm. something i wanted to accomplish w it was making it one of those fics you'd read that stays with u for some time, ur invested, it’s full of detail, lore. relatability. which i feel like i did. theres stuff to piece together or like draw ur own conclusions about since it's told strictly from one pov. a fair amount lies between the lines. another thing is it's obviously dark, but it's also like . not too serious in places, and as a whole has got like a charming element (regarding the good stuff). SO, more self promo: if you at all cared about nlh n the characters i made up, u may love the second (2nd) pov of it. because there is SO much that i put into nlh that will be brought to light and wrapped up in a NEAT little PACKAGE 🎁 in little miss qat

spicy tangential opinion: im on board w yours amber. one of mine would be: if youre going to write about experiences you havent experienced, even in a fanfic, i feel like you should at least do a lil research on the way. it helps your writing, and also prevents you from putting potentially harmful content out there

Custom Toonami Block Week 73 Rundown

Code Geass: Lelouch and co. are still stuck in China and Xingke’s flipping out because the Chinese assholes are gonna kill the Empress and go with someone less problematic for their political marriage to Britannia’s creepily overaged prince. However Lelouch pulls out a Knightmare that’s basically the Twink version of the Gawain and busts everyone up as well as pulling a Father Cornello on them and letting the people know they’re all elitst 1% assholes that don’t care about them, which I suspect all countries probably know about their leaders but it sucks to hear it in a recording so riots show up all over China and CC Geass Flashes Anya to take her out so Britannia has to back out because the Chinese Hierarchy are now the least popular people in the world. So Xingke gets to be with his Empress and joins the Black Knights but Dietard wants the Empress to marry someone on their side so they can basically do the asshole move Britannia just tried to do but for them. All the girls are like ‘hey no’ and Lelouch is like “Oh hey Tamaki buddy, let’s go talk and get me the fuck out of here” so before Lelouch actually has to give Tamaki more lines and elevate him beyond the Black Knight’s Yamacha Shirley calls and Lelouch just straight up asks Shirley about love in a weirdly forced series of circumstance. But Shirley’s like “Yeah don’t fuck with love, don’t you love anyone?” and Lelouch is like “Yeah I do, Nunally!” and I don’t think that’s at all what Shirley meant but it does mean Lelouch sees that fighting for something beyond politics is powerful and agrees to not marry off the twelve year old girl, so that’s good. Lelouch decides to return home while they hunt down the Geass cult which is in China for some reason despite that being one of the like two places on earth Britannia doesn’t control and the Geass Cult largely being a Britannian affair. Meanwhile Sayoko is basically a Lelouch Vtuber at this point with her insanely accurate Lupin III mask of Lelouch and kisses Shirley so Shirley’s a little bit more gay than she was before and is not sure how to feel about that. When she’s about to tell the real Lelouch he kisses like a girl, Anya and Gino show up because we’re retreading the whole ‘sleeping with the enemy at school’ thing from the first season except with way less interesting enemies. Also the preview for the next episode is Lelouch dramatically talking about enemies finding out he’s Zero overtop footage of Shirley and Milly absolutely naked in a batthouse scene so I think we know what kind of episode that’ll be.

Inuyasha: The Panther Demon filler concludes with everyone meeting at the site where the Panther Master is being revived behind a strong barrier, if only someone just got a barrier upgrade to their sword, oh wait. But yeah everyone manages to free the hostages so even though Kagome’s jewel shards revives the Panther Master he’s still a zombie without a sacrifice which is weird since Naraku managed to completely revive the Band of Seven with one jewel shard each from skeletons and the Panther Lord has three shards so idk the rules here but yeah he steals the souls of his own men to revive and is Wind Scar Proof because he just is. It’s pretty cool to see him shooting his claws and lightning and shit but he’s too big and slow for it to be much of an interesting fight. Sesshomaru’s about to go full demon which would be interesting since we haven’t seen his full demon form since he lost his arm but in a neat bit of character development, Tenseiga calms his rage and tells him to use it instead. You get the feeling Sesshomaru only goes full demon when he flies off the handle and forgets about speed and strategy so him opting to not repeat the mistake he made against Inuyasha is pretty cool. Anyway Tenseiga heals the souls of the Panther Demons and drains their energy from the lord so he’s back to Zombie Cat Man which Inuyasha can Wind Scar because that’s what happens to villains on this show, all Wind Scars all the time. The Panthers don’t wanna fight anymore since their boss just killed them and tell Inuyasha to tell Sesshomaru the feud is over and they’re going back to the West. Honestly this is basically the same backstory they gave Kirinmaru in Yashahime so it’s funny for them to say they’re going back to the same place Kirinmaru is from, wonder if it’ll ever come up in Yashahime since most filler seems canon there.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Yusuke and Kuwabara continue the assault on Tarukane’s compound and basically plow through the lower demons easy since they’ve been fighting minor deities up to this point. It’s always pretty cool in Shonen to just have a few rounds to show how much power creep the heroes have had where certain things just don’t bother them anymore. Toguro murders a Chimera which has an oddly similar backstory to Nina from FMA and he seems really bummed about it but he’s like “Hey we’re both monsters made by humans telling us to do shit, so sorry for killing you bro”. And Tarukane basically sees Toguro is the next boss and is like “Yup time to scam some people off of this” and he sets up a betting ring for how far Yusuke and Co will get into his compound. This is kinda neat because it puts Tarukane in the weird position of betting against his own guards and hoping Yusuke will make it all the way to Toguro and then lose after everyone else has seen how awesome Yusuke is and bets on him. And funnily enough Sakyo’s in on the betting and he’s watched anime before so he knows to bet on the plucky teenagers with weird powers. So yeah Yusuke and Kuwabara finish plowing through the demons while Hiei kinda stalks them and remembers getting his eye surgery and wanting to help his sister but it’s kind of against spirit world rules for demons to just go plow through humans even if they’re scumbag humans so now Yusuke and Kuwabara have to go fight the Triad of boss demons Toguro has under him before Hiei busts in and just murders everyone for kidnapping his bird-loving jewel-crying little flower of a sister.

Fate Zero: So Kiritsugu can break Kayneth’s Terminator 2 Gaara defenses with rib bullets that just say ‘no’ to using magic and fucks his arrogant ass up. Saber and Lancer do some combo shenanigans to stab Caster right in the book and disrupt all his hentai tentacle demons but the book heals so idk why he can’t just make more. Kirei fucks up Maiya and Iris but didn’t double tap Maiya and DID double tap iris but she’s got Saber’s bullshit healing scabbard on her which no one knows about so Saber’s like “uhhh why are you healing” and Iris can’t tell her so she’s basically “Uhh internet?” Lancer comes in to save Kayneth’s worthless ass and tells Kiritsugu to stop being a dick to Saber because she’s pretty dope. But as usual for an early Fate encounter, no one dies and nothing of terrible consequence happens despite it being teased a couple times. I’ve noticed a trend with Fate that it really doesn’t like killing characters early so you’re basically guaranteed to have the first 2-3 major battles have a zero net gain/loss. Rider in UBW was probably the subversion to that since it happened crazy fast and anticlimactic but even that wasn’t till like ten episodes in.

Konosuba: So we finally meet Wiz the big booby Lich and Kazuma learns a new skill, both fun things. Also the gang gets a house to stay in after escapades with an army of haunted dolls and the most “I need to pee” in a horror setting since Corpse Party. But yeah, good progress this time honestly, the living in a stable gag was getting kind of old so Kazuma’s a bit stronger now and they have a home base so that’s pretty cool. Also Wiz is a Demon General or some shit but no one cares cause there ain’t no money in murdering busty zombie waifus.

Sailor Moon Crystal: So turns out Minako is Princess Serenity, except everyone who knows anything about Sailor Moon or indeed plot structure knows Sailor Moon is Princess Serenity, that’s like the Luke I Am Your Father of this series. But still turns out Minako has been guiding everyone with the power of video games but also thinks the power of friendship sucks and she’s gotta go do everything alone. This makes things super awkward because Mamoru’s pretty sure he was in love with the Princess but likes Usagi, now instead of running with this interesting thread of a reincarnation falling in love with someone new we’re gonna do the reveal that Usagi’s the princess and the whole ‘till death do us part’ part of marriage was just a metaphor and you’re stuck with one person no matter how many times you reincarnate. But yeah, Minako fights the bad guy on top of the tower but he has Naraku’s Barrier now and Minako doesn’t have the Red Tessaiga upgrade yet so she needs the power of friendship but this barrier is friendship-proof and this fight is basically a bunch of kids on the playground making up increasingly stupid powers that negate the other powers the other guy just made up. Anyway Tuxedo Mask shows up and is like “Holy shit Sailor Moon I love when you kiss me and kick ass, go get em sweetie I’ll hold your flower” and they kiss and Usagi has learned that if she just pretends she got this the power of her confidence will beat the bad guy. Also there’s a katana-wielding maniac going around slashing people and Anri’s being bullied and sexually harassed to the point of mental collapse, normal stuff.

Current Fixations - November 6

So... no Thursday Night Link Roundup this week because uh...

Hi, how are you, how about that election? I feel like I’m dying. Like, as of right now everything seems a bit less dying on account of the ever so slight blueness of the map that I woke up to, but I’m still perishing deep inside of my psyche. But like... slightly less? Like if you could die but not be totally dead? Idk how to describe this feeling, but I still don’t want to get my hopes up.

I think it’s called: “cautiously optimistic”?

Anyway, Editing Nano is going pretty well. Well-- it wasn’t on the first few days because I was freaking out because, you know the old saying, “Nobody likes a fascist dictatorship,” haha, remember that one? So editing or making any kind of choice was really difficult because of the whole “what if I wake up and suddenly don’t have rights anymore?” thing. Ive just kind of been feeling like this for the past few days:

So like... that’s a thing. Nice when circumstances mean that depression walks up behind you and cracks you over the head with a 2x4 when you’re least expecting it. But I guess life in America is really just an elongated episode of Backyard Wrestling at this point.

Anyway, anyway, two things have been making me feel better.

One is: I somehow found out about Corpse Husband, not sure how that happened. Like, normally if I think about it I can remember what I clicked on that lead me to another thing I clicked on, etc., but one of his videos might have been recommended? I’m not sure. All of a sudden I was watching his streams and not sure how I got there but was having a lovely time.

But his voice is literally so soothing and I’ve been listening to his Among Us streams while editing and his Q&A’s while falling asleep and he’s been seriously helpful. He also made my brain go “Remember you had that idea of reading horror books for YouTube years ago? Let’s think about that again.” He also seems to make a lot of the same jokes as I do, so of course I find him hilarious. There was a non-zero amount of “Am I over there?”

Also, his fans make some seriously good artwork, just putting that out there. I was perusing Instagram and like, holy shit, they’re good. Seriously, seriously talented people.

(I don’t think I’ve mentioned this here, but I finally found some people to play Among Us with - no one in my regular group of friends wanted to play - and I will probably be as nervous as he is at the beginning of his streams. I’m not good at mind game stuff or being sneaky lol.)

The other thing that have been helping, and I do know how I found this: I was watching TwoSet and they had their opera singer friend on and she showed her top five favorite performances, and this song was one of them (but with Birgit Nilsson singing instead).

Anywho, this piece with this singer had been making me feel feelings:

She just ground my soul up into a fine powder and did I don’t know what the fuck magic on me and now I’m a fucking lich or a revenant or something. I was listening to it all morning while I was editing and got really into it and ended up crying. Like, what the fuck. But I guess that’s the point of trying to create something that’s going to make your audience go “Ahhh! Right in the feels!” May have written a bit of poetry as well lol. Her performance is mesmerizing and it gives me great pain and there’s a kind of beauty in that pain? I don’t know. All I know is that when she hits that high note and then low note during “Welt-Atems” I was transported.

And then I had to walk all the way back and had time to reflect upon what it was that it made me feel.

Who the heck is my muse anyway?

   Arthas Menethil is the Lich King of the Scourge, which means that he is the tyrannical god-emperor of various undead creatures (zombies, ghosts, wights, vampires, and Frankenstein-esque monstrosities just to name a few). He was originally a heroic, benevolent man before falling to evil and deciding he liked it down in the dark.

   In addition to his Scourge, he is worshiped and obeyed by an assortment of organizations of various living beings, and even a certain pack of werewolves. He is the most powerful necromancer in the world, and has aspirations of killing everyone to raise them as subjects for his kingdom of the dead.  

Points of interest:

Fall of the Lich King happened, wherein he died after Frostmourne was shattered. Bolvar was the Lich King for a while. Kel’Thuzad eventually found and stole Arthas’ body before resurrecting his lord, and they gallivanted around Azeroth during the Cataclysm, trying to find the shards of Frostmourne and stay out of public sight. Eventually (in MoP) they make their way back to ICC, kill Bolvar, and Arthas is the Lich King once more.

My portrayal of Arthas borrows heavily from Rise of the Lich King in addition to Warcraft III and Wrath; I more or less ignore what Chronicles says about him, because I prefer the way that Rise explored his struggle between humanity and inhumanity and it gives me a bit of content to work in regards to building up an idea of who Arthas was in life, and how that stays with him in death.

The Lich King is a god(ish) and Arthas has the ego, power, and cult to back up that mentality. He can and has murdered dozens of heroes with little more than a wave of his hand; is capable of resurrecting ancient, powerful entities to serve him in undeath; grants “blessings” upon those who earn his favor; and possesses an empire of slavering monsters chomping at the bit to do absolutely anything he says. ‘Human’ is not the word for what he is anymore.  

And Arthas was once a man; no matter how hard he has ever tried, no matter what he’s done to himself or to anyone else, Arthas is still plagued by the vestiges of his humanity, which often manifests as him taking a special interest in certain individuals: Jai.na, Andu.in, adventurers, and (negatively) Syl.vanas for instance. As a result, his reactions to people are sporadic: he might show surprising lenience or tolerance for acts of defiance and opposition should the perpetrator tug on the right heartstring.

Arthas has a daughter whom is generally his Deathlord in the pertinent verses. Her status as his daughter is relatively common knowledge post-Wrath of the Lich King, and is a contentious spot for him.

What they’ve been up to recently:

WARCRAFT: Arthas has been (quietly, quietly) aiding in the repulsion of the Burning Legion from Azeroth, for he despises his old demonic masters and has no intention of losing his world to them. He is also busy reestablishing the Scourge as a power to be feared, and returning Northrend under his control. With the conclusion of Legion, he is now focused upon rebuilding his kingdom after the Burning Legion trashed it again and also I’m paying zero attention to what’s going on in Battle of Azeroth so idk any way to really integrate him!!! Also we’re gonna just ignore everything that kickstarted Shadowlands because fuck that noise.

SWTOR: Darth Necrolis, once a promising Jedi Knight, now an insidious Lord of the Sith, seeks out the eldritch knowledge of Darth Nihilus and even the Emperor, Vitiate, in his quest to obtain immortality. Although, gifted with the frightening ability to bind Force ghosts to himself, one wonders if his search is redundant at this point.

Where to find them:

WARCRAFT: Northrend in general, and Icecrown in particular, are the Lich King’s usual haunts, along with other Scourge strongholds such as the Plaguelands or Naxxramas. He may also wander through areas of present note because he’s a curious lad. (Aka the current expansion’s region: Broken Isles for Legion, Pandaria for Mists, etc., etc….)

SWTOR: While Necrolis can generally be found nearly anywhere in Imperieal space, Dromund Kaas and Korriban are perhaps the safest locations to catch him. He may also be within his citadel on the wintry planet on Northrend.

RESTORE THE SCOURGE: We trashed his kingdom last time we took a gander through Northrend, and he’s hard at work not only repairing what we broke, but reinforcing it. To that end, he seeks to otain new resources and sources of power. Azerite, for example…

CORRUPT THE KNIGHTS OF THE EBON BLADE: Particularly from Legion onward, the Lich King has his eye on Acherus and its denizens, subtly setting in place plans to turn the world against him and leave them no recourse but to return to the Scourge.

KILL EVERYONE: Self-explanatory.

SWTOR:

CRUSH THE REPUBLIC: Jedi are nerds and he WILL stuff you into a frozen space locker.

OBTAIN IMMORTALITY: He’s going to end up devouring a planet a la Vitiate, I feel.

BIND MORE FORCE GHOSTS TO HIMSELF: More ghosts = more power = good.

BECOME THE NEW EMPEROR: You’re not a real Sith Lord if you’re not trying.

6. do you prefer writing male muses or female more? why?

honestly...i don’t know??? this answer is gonna sound cliche, but i think it really depends on the background and how much work i put into the muse. while i’m obviously more prone to writing females on this blog because let’s face it, the rpc thinks female muses are very one dimensional & that women of color are nonexistent, i do enjoy the males that i do write or have written in the past. for example, i love writing the males of the vaughn family. i like writing out their personalities outside of their occupation & the personalities they grew into outside of their home life while growing up, and even the anger and complexities that they’ve dealt with as a result of their upbringing. i seldom mention him because he was a minor when i first developed the family, but even their youngest sibling ni’kyah has to deal with the emotions and the fallout of how his oldest siblings inherited the same behaviors that they were taught to stay away from. and while i no longer write them on this blog, i loved writing the muses murphy king & nyhri taylor because of the details i added to their backstory. murphy, who had been through the system multiple times through fosters and arrested, was my very soft father who was just trying to do right by his daughter, attend school, and make amends with his daughter’s mother. nyhri lost his mother at a young age to illness and his father was just a Shitty Drunk, and he struggled with the same issues but (eventually, in my head at least) overcame them so he’d never be like him. yet, at the same time...i don’t touch my males unless i’m really feeling it? not to mention the multiple times people claimed they’d plot with all muses on my blog only to desert my female muses who lich-rally weren’t looking for romantic ships lolol. but idk. this got long and went nowhere, aside from the fact that i’m more prone to writing whoever i have the most mental content for in order to convey them in a way that does them justice.

2. are aesthetics important to you? why?

yeah, but like...only for images and my moodboards. in reality, i’m sick of the aesthetic rule. i’m sick of tiny icons and tiny text with colors. i have bad vision, i can’t see anything anymore!!!! but at the same time, i do still have my own personal preferences...just situational preferences if that makes sense. like, i personally don’t enjoy gifs that take up the screen. yet, if that’s the only resource you have, then i’m fine with either that or not using images at all. i’m all about making things pretty to suit your taste, and if small things is your taste, pls don’t let shit stop you!! it’s just personally not my thing cause i’m fuckin’ blind. i’mma stick to cute photos, thank u.
