Everything We Know About Jamie (so far)

Recently some developers for SF6 revealed a bit of Jamie's backstory at an event, and since he's my babygirl I decided to compile everything that's confirmed to make it easier to reference! I tried to pull everything from the game (World Tour, official descriptions), developer tweets and summaries from events like these. Most of these were in Japanese though, and since idk Japanese I had to Google Translate, so please take these with a grain of salt!

Putting everything under the cut because it's long and I don't wanna clog up dashes 🍶

He’s 2 years younger than Luke. Luke’s in his late 20s.

While Luke loves fighting for the sake of fighting, Jamie takes his relationship with his opponent into consideration. He reserves some techniques (like the finger snap) for a few opponents.

Jamie’s dad is a rich businessman and his mom is his dad’s mistress. His father’s wife passed away for unknown reasons. He hates his dad but loves his mom as they both went through a lot of hardships together (not sure how correct this is considering in WT he says he rarely sees her and doesn't know anything about her besides the fact that she's pretty).

Jamie's mom is a former actress.

He was born in Shanghai, but moved with his dad to Hong Kong to live with his mom.

He knows how to play the trumpet and learned it when he was a kid. The taunt he does where he sings his theme song and pretends to play the trumpet actually has the right finger placements.

He values his friends highly, always considering them first before himself.

He finds it hard to open up with people he likes, but he has no problems being honest with people he doesn’t like.

He moved to the US with his parents in high school due to his father’s work.

He hates lectures and arrogant people.

He loves his grandmother, Yun, and Yang.

He lived with his grandmother for a little bit in China, in the middle of nowhere. His parents sent him to live there when they got tired of his reckless behavior. He says that she was the one who taught him "how to fight" and "how to live." It's unknown how old he was when he lived with her.

Yun and Yang saved his life when he was in middle school after he got beat up by a gang member and was about to be killed for refusing to join their gang. He's admired them since and considers them his bros. He hasn't seen them in recent years though.

His favorite food is cloud noodles. He loves spicy foods and candy too.

He doesn't like carbonated drinks and he doesn't like any foods with raw fish because he can't stand the smell.

He's ambidextrous.

Akito:

He may not be good at affectionate words, but do you know what Akito is good at? Passive aggressive actions and words-

He honestly didn't think much of you scratching your scabs when he first met you, just finding it to be a weird habit

But once the two of you start dating? Oh hell no. He is not going to be dating someone who is constantly bleeding-

You have a habit of picking your scabs? Congrats, you've given him the habit of smacking your hand away from your scabs and going "Babe no-"

He develops a weird sixth sense for it too. You could be standing and idly scratching your scabs and he appears out of nowhere to swat at your hands

Eventually he resorts to just holding your hands. It stops you from scratching, but it definitely embarrassed him the first time he did it without warning-

Toya:

Toya absolutely hates the sight of someone he loves literally bleeding, so if course it makes him feel anxious-

The first time he sees you picking your scabs, whether you are dating or not, he's like, "No?? Why are you doing that?? That's not good??"

He doesn't really know how to stop you beside looking up why picking scabs is bad and just showing you the results

He also develops a sixth sense to the fact, just immediately appearing beside you and giving you the most concerned look he can possibly give-

He brings you a lot of his arcade machine winnings with the hope that having something other than your scabs to scratch at (it's up to you if it works or not)

He ends up carrying bandaids around just because of your habit. He'll see that you're scratching and just sigh, taking your hands away before putting a bandaid on.

Tsukasa:

Tsukasa is more than used to seeing out of the ordinary things, which is why seeing you pick your scabs doesn't register for him at first

He'll watch you scratching your scabs and just take it as one of your quirks and leave it be

...At least, he does so until he sees you bleeding because of it

He'll go full blown panic mode, asking the universe why his dearest co-star is bleeding. How could the universe dare to do this to you??

You have to explain that it just happens because of you scratching your scabs, and he takes a moment to process it before shaking his head at you. "This cannot stand any more!"

He now checks up on you, immediately shoving some sort of game or toy into your hands anytime he notices you scratching your scabs. And it...Kind of works?-

Rui:

If we're being honest here, Rui used to do the same thing. He's grown out of it, replacing the habit with his focus on experiments, but it does mean he isn't phased at first-

He'll see you scratching your scabs and just nod in mutual understanding. He understood the weird compulsion to do so-

He only decides to step in once someone, probably Nene, reminds him that it's actually quite bad for you-

He tries to talk you out of it, explain that scratching your scabs is really bad in the long term. His talking doesn't help-

He probably tries to give you affection then, constantly hugging you from behind or holding your hand in his. He does it because he wants to fluster you, but it's also an effective method for getting you to stop

If all else fails, he makes a little droid that gently slaps you any time it senses you're scratching. Don't ask when he had the time or resources to make it-

Suguru is a music guy. I dont make the rules.

Like, he had an alternative phase back in the day, I lean to mall goth personally, and learned guitar he was such a music guy

Always knew where the best shows were at and was always at them. His favorite type of first date

He doesn't just listen to rock either, he listens to it all. Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, hell he'd even listen to County is the song was a hard enough bop

His love language is albums and playlist.

He has an actual record player and plays actual records. Like a hipster.

Also, the man can cook. Idk, I just get those vibes.

Like, hes naturally really good at it, but never does it cause he hates it.

Unless it's for you baby.

If his SO asked him to cook, he would do it without hesitation. Eating is important

Gets kinda distant when you ask about his technique. Hates talking about it. The most anyones ever gotten out of him is that curses taste like vomit

Which, is probably why actual foods tasting good is so important to him

Former smoker. He actually stopped once he left Jujutsu Sorcerery. He just, wasn't stressed anymore.

Still craves a cigarette whenever Mahito opens his mouth though.

His favorite color was formerly blue. These days it's more of an emerald green

Is fucking fantastic at wii sports. Especially the boxing game, that is where he shines.

GOJO

CONTROVERSIAL TAKE: this man hates drugs. Like, even weed he can't stand it. And he tried too, back in his younger days, just not his thing.

He hates when things mess with his head or his perception. It's why he's not big on drinking either. Especially if it slows his reflexes, he's not about it

Owned a bucket hat and puka shell necklace and at one point is not nearly sorry enough for it.

Hes a bitch for coffee. Don't ask me why, it's just the vibe.

Ok, let me rephrase, he likes creamer with a dash of coffee, add in lots of sugar and milk.

Hes actually a huge sweets guy. Like, to the point that he for sure has a giant candy bowl in his classroom and it's not for his students

Hes not great at communicating his feelings and needs. He has a hard time identifying then in the first place honestly

So, the clearest insight as to how he's feeling is through whatever music he's currently listening too.

Like "Hey babe..you ok?" "Oh? Yea of course doll! Why would you ask that?" "Well, we've been listening to the Johnny Cash cover of 'Hurt' on repeat and people that are ok don't typically do that"

Once it's pointed out to him, he is willing to talk about it to figure out what's going on. Can't fix a problem when you don't know what it is anyway. But, it's gotta be pointed out first.

Cats just love him. No, that's not a pun. Like, stray cats will come up to him on the street and rub up against him and love on him. Cats love him.

And while I wasn't going to make it, he has made the "what can I say? Imma pussy magnet" joke

NANAMI

This man kicks ass at mortal Kombat. Like, that's how he used to blow off steam when he worked his office job and now that's just a skill he has

Any fighting game really. That includes smash bros. Gojo onces convinced Itadori that Nanami never really played games, then challenged him to a bet

Easiest 5000 yen Gojo ever made. Until Nanami found out and demanded half

Hes secretly a huge nerd in general. Like, he has the entirety of star trek on DVD and listens to D&D podcasts

Hes a thin guy. You'd think he wouldn't eat much, right? WRONG that man's legs are hollow. He is every all you can eat buffets worst nightmare

Hes secretly punk. It's some of his favorite music, The Misfits are his favorite band.

Really, he just likes any music that could be considered aggressive. He never has nor would he ever dress like it though

Actually loves fruity drinks. Like he keeps a bottle of Pink Whitney at his apartment for mixed drinks.

Hes not picky though, he'll drink whatever you give him. Unless it tastes like pear. Not a big fan of pear

If he drives a car, it's the most worn our beater you've ever seen. He has the money to replace it, but why do that when it still runs just fine?

Probably because the passenger side door is held together with duct tape, but whatever.

His favorite color is yellow. Like, a pastel cozy yellow, and also more saturated warm yellows. He says it's a happy color and it makes him smile.

Used to have a coffee addiction, but didn't like being addicted to anything. So he's more of a tea guy now.

Can't stand messy, but also loves cleaning so it works out for him. He says cleaning is calming.

Especially when he's playing Dragula at 7am. Much to his neighbors, and sometimes his So's dismay.

Genuinely, as an autistic person, I think he's autistic. Like, the monotone voice and the "I don't give praise or ridicule, I just speak facts" gives me those vibes

Also, he just says what's on his mind and has little to no filter. Sometimes that's a good thing, more often than not it's bad.

Will just randomly crack random body parts. His knuckles, back, neck, his elbows. He snap crackles and pops.

Hes also double jointed in his shoulders, so good luck trying to pin/wrestle with him ever

ok i've finally started season 6 of better call saul (ahhhHHHHHH) so there's no better time than the present for me to vomit out all of my thoughts and feelings on this show thus far

first of all, i already want to start rewatching this show, like, right now, before i even finish it. unreal

my biggest complaint at this point is that i feel they lost the plot with Mike a bit in s5. his is a trickier needle to thread than jimmy's, i think - there's less daylight between parking attendant mike and stone cold fixer mike than there is between jimmy mcgill and saul goodman. but i'm just not convinced that this guy would agree to work for gus fring long-term. i guess we're supposed to believe that the guilt he feels, blaming himself for getting his son killed and depriving kaylee of a dad in the process, is SO overwhelming that he'll willingly do these terrible things so he can "pay her back" with this massive nest egg he plans to build up. but like...this is a conclusion i'm coming to by sitting here overthinking about it, not a conclusion that i feel is coming organically from the show. something just feels off. and i don't think it's intentional, i think they just missed the mark. that said, i liked his "bad choice road" speech to jimmy a lot at the end of the season.

speaking of kaylee, oh my god the scenes with her are goddamn annoying, and the scenes with her mom are even worse. i honestly feel bad for the woman, she's probably not even that bad of an actor but on a show overflowing with people at the absolute top of their game she really stands out as a weak link.

NACHITO 😭 i know he's not gonna make it out of here alive. poor guy. he just really loves his dad!!!!!!!!

Lalo is such a FANTASTIC addition tho. it's so hard to add a compelling character this late in the game but he's so charismatic he even makes me hate Hector Salamanca scenes like 80% less

I could have done with less Gus Fring on this show in general. he was incredible on BrBa, but he just...doesn't need to be fleshed out more? and he kind of isn't, he's just around a lot? idk, but i'll take this as an opportunity to share that one time i saw Giancarlo Esposito wearing a black cowboy hat and buying a package of raw chicken at Whole Foods in Austin TX like 9 years ago

ok now onto the lawyer-y side of things. in contrast to Mike's story, I think Jimmy/Saul's is pretty much pitch perfect. i believe his decisions, i believe his hesitations, i believe the push and pull.

(sidenote just remembered i also deeply hate the salamanca twins, always have always will, on BrBa they always felt like some lame reddit bro's idea of a "badass villain" they're just so flat and boring and i wish they weren't in this show either ugh)

anyway back to Jimmy - obviously, this show would not work whatsoever if Jimmy didn't work as a character, but it's still like, HOLY SHIT do they make him work. he's so tragic, you just KNOW that he could be better and you want him to be better and you know he wants to be better but: he can't. he won't. we know where this story is heading. and at his core he will always be this boy who really really really loved his big brother and never felt that love returned and never will and now i'm going to cry just thinking about the fucking scummy lawyer from breaking bad oh my goddddd

finally: kim. kim. KIM. having only watched 6x01 at this point - i feel like i've only barely scratched the surface on understanding who this character is. i don't know what to say, but i just rewatched this scene and it's maybe my favorite thing i've ever seen, with the exception of like 8 other kim scenes (most of which consist of her dressing down an idiot man, her boyfriend included)

JIMMY AND KIM FOREVER 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 and if you're wondering if i'm having Fic Thoughts, the answer is yes, yes i am

p.s. i've been listening to some of the insider podcast episodes and my GOD what a breath of fresh air to listen to peter gould and vince gilligan after being an unwilling prisoner of roberto aguirre sacasa for 7 goddamn years

personally i hate peoples perception of pregame kokichi. so i'll tell you about my own little headcanon!

•he's not as shy as people believe, just a little quieter then ingame.

•still a total asshole he just keeps his comments to himself. so it's more like “i fucking hate you but i'm never gonna tell you that because it would be too much of a hassle. so i'll just keep it to myself." (sorta like that? idk i have the idea perfectly planned out in my head i just can't translate that over to words kms) very hesitant and kinda polite when you first meet him, not so much polite- more like kinda distant? trying not to interact as much as possible, y'know? once you get to know him though he eventually opens up. he's very sarcastic, because ofc he is LMAO

•definitely an introvert. not a big fan of parties or other people in general lol. if he does have plans it's usually only with one or two people (probably shuichi or kiibo etc). he'd rather stay home and write then do anything else. i also have a little idea that when the announcement that danganronpa will be starting auditions for the next game he writes and designs what he wants his character to be like! (i started a little story about it a while back but never finished it- i'd love to finish it one day, i just can't seem to find the proper words to describe the ideas in my mind. if i could write it'd be fuckin over for you guys istg I HAVE SO MANY GOOD IDEAS) he's a big doodler and loves english class. huge dork for creative writing.

•he's into danganronpa and is a big fan of it, but not as much as shuichi is. shuichi is the one who originally got him into it. he's been into it since it first came out, so kokichi has a lot of catching up to do lol

•oh right! okay so kokichi and shuichis relationship. i don't see them as love interests even though i do love saiouma. but pregame? they're just awkward best friends. 100%. both just a bunch of fuckin nerds who have a special interest that no one else at their school has (if anyone else does they're not as vocal about it as them, or at least as shuichi is lol) they're not the most liked people in the world but it's okay, they honestly like it just being the two of them. they have sleepovers frequently and binge watch a bunch of the danganronpa seasons (shuichis already finished every season like twice but watches it with kokichi anyway, trust me he doesn't mind). but yeah, they're just two teenage boys! shuichi isn't a fuckin yandere or anything. fuck that. admittedly, i do fancy the idea but NOT as a headcanon. maybe as an AU but for that to be the way you see him?? bro. he has nerd energy RADIATING off of him. not a yandere, just a weeb who likes danganronpa.

•kokichi is definitely a mamas boy. his dad used to be around but had some serious drug/alcohol issues. she worked hard to provide for her family as best she could, working hours and hours at a low paying 9-5 job. all the money she earned, his father would steal. take for his own to buy drugs and cigarettes. but because she was always working, she had no one to watch kokichi. she had to leave him there with his father throughout the day. she gave him a small phone and told him to call her if his father ever did anything bad or got too drunk. of course he would never do anything to harm him, intentionally, but as drunk as he was all the time he could never really be aware of his actions.. this went on for a while until it eventually just got too bad. she couldn't leave him with his father anymore. kokichi had been left crying to many times for her to allow. his father left when kokichi was around 6-7. his mother had enough of his behavior and told him to get out. plates were shattered, things were thrown, threats of murder were even brought upon him and his mother. but she did not stand down, she protected her son without fail. he eventually stood down and walked out. of course not without cursing and shouting profanities at the woman. swerving off drunkenly in her car. she felt awful for having her son witness his father like this, so she did anything to make it up to him. years went on and things got better, kokichi was a teenager now, his mother in her forties. money was less tight so she stopped working so many hours and spent more time with her son. they grew slightly apart, as most teenagers do with their parents but they would still be close. they'd watch movies on weekends and joke around with each other a lot, she truly was just a wonderful woman. she'd make lunches for him in brown paper bags because she knows he doesn't like the schools cafeteria food, he was always embarrassed by this though. (definitely not me projecting onto him whatt no pshh that's….. that's totally crazy)

Incoming rant from a renheng shipper who frequents tiktok that enjoys ships that aren't just green flags or whatever.

Lowkey hate myself for getting obsessed with hkr and renheng. The amount of people who misunderstand lore or that the characters in question have an insane amount of MEMORY LOSS. Also, why are hoyo fans so obsessed with hating on queer ships and spreading bs about them, like bro chill it's just a game and we're all gay fuckers who like to see other gay fuckers in love. It's fiction, seriously who the fuck cares lmao.

Some of yall are just homophobes in disguise who hate any sort of gayness even when it's implied or just theorized. Meanwhile hoyo is trying desperately to get past the censorship and hide the gay while also shoving it down our throats lol. (Aka that typo stuff or whatever. Idk what happened there but why's that your first thought...?)

Ughhh I really need to delete tiktok, I can feel my brain losing cells at a rapid speed. I type renheng and 7/10 videos are just hate. Like bruh don't use the fucking tag you absolute bitches.

Ohhh they're so toxic or whatever. Danheng is traumatized because Blade keeps trying to kill him (...points at canon...lol). First of all, baby that's true love. Joking but like renheng is also very much classic danmei. Lovers to enemies to exes to lovers but slightly deranged. Also very very j*ongdok coded. Oh and now people hating on enemies to lovers trope just cuz they can't stand renheng for whatever reason. Saying stuff like what chemistry or how could they ever like each other, they are trying to kill one another. Like pause. Focus. ENEMIES. TO. LOVERS. ENEMIES ENEMIES ENEMIES. It's not going to be a walk in the park fucking dumbasses.

It's basically friends to lovers to enemies to strangers to enemies to scorned semi-amnesiac exes to lovers again if that helps ^-^. We in the divorce arc now but no one knows lmao, not even the two fuckers in question themselves.

I genuinely don't understand why people are so fixated on hating ships that are 'toxic'. Sure happy good queer ship representation is important. But like, to be brutally honest, I prefer angst and complex, complicated dynamics. Just let us have both, no need to insist that everyone be the pinnacle of morality. That's boring lol. Sure h*artstopper is amazing, but also fucking love h*nnibal too. Imo these the same bitches that want to censor ao3. Let the gays have their toxic shit too, not everyone wants straight fluff.

Also. Hsr is pretty dark when you think about it. At least, from the perspective of someone who only has general knowledge of g*nshin i*pact and just reads funeral man x foxy dude ao3 fics, I was not expecting the deaths of actual people. Like the xianzhou arc had probably the highest body count, with scenes of people literally taking their last breath and not just in the actual gaming part. It's gonna be a bit dark babes.

This goes for jingyuan too. Like i saw someone comment that they're upset he was sorta manipulative during the dragon arc thing. And um sure, but also bros an old ass general who also looks into the future with the divine something. But main point. GENERAL. Sorta his job babes. Mans not going to be some 1D soft uwuu boy. But he's also impartial where he can and perhaps shouldn't be. Tbh hoyo fans should be happy at how complex these characters are.

Sidenote. I find that I cannot stand watching people play games anymore. Like wdym you're talking over the damn cut scene that's significant and/or looking away. Bruh, this isn't a pure battle game, it's heavy on the story so where the fuck is your goddamn attention. Talking bs like oh idk what's going on but they don't read the dialogue, check out the databank/bookshelf, watch the short videos hoyo puts out, or even, just even FUCKING EXPLORE. Some ass I watched just walked straight past vital info, running their goddamn mouth and was then like, broo I'm so confused what's going on?!? Genuinely, if not for the story, then why are you playing? The combat is fun, sure, but it's not like the most riveting thing ever, so why do people not pay attention????

I feel faint oof.

I don't even care if renheng isn't canon and we're all fucking delusional. I'm just annoyed for a varied number of reasons that are triggered everytime I open the devil app that is tiktok...also I feel sorta sad for spoiling 1.3 for myself but also half of it was already spoiled because of tumblr+tiktok having spoilers like the fucking devil himself and also also i feel better/insane that i know like 75% of what's going on.

In my free time, I tend to draw, collect bones/bug taxidermy, read, practice learning new languages. I'm also interested in the occult, horror genre and I enjoy watching essay format videos. :)

Personality type: Upon getting to know me, I'm kind of awkward and off standish at first. I want to be more outgoing, but I'm honestly just too intimidated to try. I prefer to be alone, but I do like people!! I've been told I speak kind of bluntly, but not rudely; just straight to the point. I'm extremely loyal, kind of a guard dog towards the people I love. I always root for the underdog, I can't stand watching people get unfairly dogpiled; even if I dislike them. Would be the kind of person to help my enemies if I think they're in the right. — she would enjoy speaking to you a lot and would want to learn about endless things from you, and your words would greatly impact her worldview because she would take your insights very seriously. she would look up to you as a responsible and caring figure whom she can rely on and trust completely. you would also ignite her imaginative parts because of your own vividly creative self. your expression and attitude would inspire her to be more like you so that she can present herself as radiantly as you do.

A Finalized List of FFVIII Remake, In Order of Who Wants to Get Into Cloud's Pants, Least to Greatest

Okay, I have finally finished my first ever Final Fantasy game and thankfully, or not, the most horny parts of the game seem to be at the beginning and a bit at the end. The story definitely does take over and we meet a whole slew of characters disinterested in what Cloud's got in his cargo pants. But I swore, to the audience in my head if nothing else, that I'd post a finalized list once I finished the game. So, first things first: Scarlett, Palmer, Reeve, Zack - Disqualified. They either don't meet Cloud, have 30 seconds of dialogue, or both. Maybe if they get more of a personality than a sheet of paper. And now, on to the list!

Cloud - Vehemently disinterested. By far, of all the people most interested in having sex with Cloud, Cloud is the least interested in it. He doesn't register anything but the most blatant sexual interest, and even that with only mild annoyance. I refer to him affectionately as a traumasack, because this boy has so much PTSD he barely registers he has a dick, much less any fun potential applications of it. This, of course, makes the rest of this list very funny, very sad, or both.

Madam M - Violently disinterested. She's a professional implied sex worker, and she's seen Cloud's type before. She's not wasting her status as 'Madam M' by not being able to be very picky about her sexual partners, and Cloud doesn't even hit one of her criteria. Hard pass, even with his prettiness.

Red XIII - Strongly disinterested. He just got out of lab where he's been presumably tortured and experimented on by Hojo. He also has PTSD out the wazoo. Also probably uninterested in humans? Idk, he's only in the last act.

Hojo - One, I truly don't believe Hojo has any interest in sex with other people, he's too interested in his experiments. Maaaaaaybe with a clone of himself, but I doubt it. Second, I Cannot Live In A World Where Hojo Fucks. Gods all preserve me from that.

Chadley - Disinterested. Honestly, has probably never even crossed his mind. I almost forgot him from this list because it was so perfectly obvious to me that Chadley simply doesn't look at Cloud like that. I *did* forget him from the first list. Whoops. Sorry, Chadley, you're an innocent cinnamon roll.

Barrett - Still disinterested. Doesn't hate Cloud anymore, but he's still, uh, very fanatical. Not entirely focused on his ecoterrorism, but enough that Cloud doesn't ping him in any way.

Rude - Disinterested. Very professional, but I saw the way he jerked the controls away to avoid shooting Tifa. Man's got a crush, and I can't blame him. Also, one of the few who fought Cloud one on one and didn't flirt with him. Man's probably straight.

Aerith - Still politely disinterested. Can confirm she does like some boys, since she had a mystery boyfriend that Cloud had some sort of trauma memory attack about, so she's not a lesbian like I originally thought. Definitely bi though. Still, views Cloud like a therapy project that she knows someone should do something about, but she doesn't have the time for.

President of Shinra - Mostly disinterested, but if it got him something he really wanted or was critical in his weird paradise plan, might do it.

Chocobo Sam - mostly disinterested, but in the right circumstances, round a campfire at night, after a hard day on the range, just the two of them, when a man gets to feeling lonely, then possibly.

Biggs - mostly disinterested, except in the very drunk bro one night stand described before

Leslie - mostly disinterested, he's still got a lot of grief going on, so he's not interested by himself, but if his boyfriend Andrea Rhodea asked, he'd be down.

Reno - disinterested, but could be persuaded. Hasn't had a lot of scenes with Cloud but was a bit flirty in their fight and seems like the kind of guy who'd be down for maybe some casual sex.

Tseng - perfectly balanced. He is neither interested nor disinterested. He is perfectly professional, and his actual interests and disinterests are a mystery to everyone. Tbh, he's only on this list because he did speak to Cloud once in game and he has more than 30 seconds of dialogue.

Don Corneo - *sigh* much like me, reluctantly putting him on this list, Don Corneo is reluctantly interested in Cloud. He picked Cloud in drag over the other two women, enjoyed Cloud's complete disdain in the seduction scene and only lost interest when Cloud changed back into his usual clothes. Would he still be interested in Cloud out of dress? Would he have Cloud dress as a woman to pretend he was still a hetero? I do not know and I do not care to find out. I accept that Don Corneo does canonically fuck, but I do not want to think about it. Gross.

Heidigger - interested but only in a deeply fucked up way. Like, public humiliation, fucked up power fantasy over Cloud way. He wouldn't act on it unless he had a wide open opportunity, though. Ugh.

Johnny - would never act on it, but if Cloud pointed at him and told him to come here, now, Johnny would snap to.

Marle - not very interested, but Cloud's an attractive young man and she's old, not dead. Probably wouldn't act on it, she likes Tifa a lot and Tifa is clearly interested.

Wedge - interested enough that Barrett wingmans for him! Wedge is still a beautiful mystery to me, his scenes drop off drastically in the mid to end game. But Barrett awkwardly tells Cloud that Wedge 'really likes [Cloud], you know?', so he gets to stay up this high.

Rufus - reasonably interested. He'd be down for a fuck, see where it leads. Could be the start of a beautiful rivalmance, but he's not Roche(read: insane); he wants to see if they're compatible first

Jessie - in love with the idea of it. The bubbly and quirky activist with her broody ex-SOLDIER boyfriend who only shows his soft spots for her!! It's the stuff movies or plays are made out of, and Jessie plays her part to a T. Honestly, Jessie's character fascinates me, but that's for a different post. Suffice to say she's in love with Cloud the way an actress can be in love with a character. It's definitely real; in the moment.

Andrea Rhodea - interested. He'd love to have Cloud as a casual boyfriend. Not super interested in fixing Cloud's multitude of hangups, but would be respectful of boundaries at least. Would be upfront about his wants, ie lots of sex and sometimes dressing up and going on dates to events, sometimes with Leslie, sometimes without. (Leslie is also a casual boyfriend)

Tifa - okay hear me out. She's interested, but she's not as desperately interested as I thought she was. She does want to help fix Cloud, but her 'desperate lovestruck childhood friend' vibes dropped way off after the early game. I actually debated putting her fourth but decided that if all the crazy plot shit wasn't happening she'd definitely still be angling for a date. I no longer think she believes the love of a good woman will save him, I think she's just as interested as any reasonable, sane person could be in the currently burning trashfire like Cloud currently is.

Roche - burning hatemance across the world. Roche is uh, how you say, mentally unstable, and definitely fell in love with Cloud, his racing, and his fight-style. He probably imagines Cloud to be similar to him, forever chasing the soaring high of the adrenaline rush, desperate not to experience the crash, and so remembers Cloud much more fondly than he did in the moment, rewriting over Cloud's own reactions and personality to make him more like Roche's own desires and thoughts. Would love to have the rivalmance of the ages, and would get violently jealous if he learned about Rufus or Sephiroth.

Sephiroth - is there a word stronger than interested? I mean, Seffie's interested all right, but it's the kind of interested that you would get having dated someone for five years and still having that good spark. Sephiroth treats Cloud the way some assholes treat their partners when their partner gets mad at them for something they see as inconsequential and petty. As far as Seffie's concerned, they are already boyfriends/soulmates/two halves of the same whole, but Cloud's mad at him for some reason, and so he's condescendingly giving Cloud his space to stop being mad and come back to bed. He's interested in sex with Cloud, he uses some seduction techniques to gauge how mad Cloud still is at him, but he's not desperate about it, he's not uncertain or hopeful about it, just expectant. There is no world or universe in Sephiroth's mind where he and Cloud don't belong to each other(he even says something like this! Twice!), so to say he's "interested" is to strongly undersell the point. Yeah, he stays at the top of the list.

And there you have it. List of all the major and middling characters from FFVII Remake. I didn't include people like Wymer, specifically because I forgot who the fuck Wymer was between when you first see him and when you last see him. I was so confused when Barrett and Tifa ran up to him all concerned for him, I literally said 'who is this? Why do we care?'. So Wymer, the teachers from Leaf House, the tournament announcers, the weight lifting bros, etc., all got tossed. Oh, and Aerith's mom. Her I just forgot about, and I don't wanna google her name or figure out what flavor of disinterested she is. This post is already so long.

My actual problem with "Sylvanas" book? Let's start with first chapter. Alot of people say that actually only second part of book is bad and first is good but Imo? No. First part is as bad as second.

Like: I don't think that Sylvanas would uncover herself to Anduin so fast. She wouldn't be like "uhh i will just tell you my sad life story". Before I started being into warcraft I always imagined her as master of manipulation, cold and deep personality etc, and seeing her act like edgy emo middleschooler oc makes me... dissapointed?

Also a bit later. I can't stand her as teenager/young adult etc. She is annoying. She acts like a child even when she is adult, she can't control her emotions and doesn't think. Like that thing with Alleria was annoying, I don't understand why they had to make Sylvanas fuck up her trial. If there only was way to make Alleria reject being Ranger General without Sylvanas doing stupid things hmmm.

And her brother. Omg he seemd to be smarter than her. Literally kid was smarter than her, however in the end he played stupid game and won stupid prize. Bro, you never trained and expect to not be killed? XD I would understand if he was killed because idk he panicked, got lost and scourge found him etc. But yes, first thing you should do when your nation are destroyed by unknown force is blindly picking up sword or other shit that you never worked with and going on enemy xD Wonder how it will end up like?

And Nathanos. Like I really like Nathanis x Sylvanas, one of my favourite ships, but I feel like it was so forced. Why they didn't had any longer interactions? Because it felt like she feel in love with guy she only saw for short time. Maybe it's because I like slowburns, but ehhhh, that book didn't did Sylvanos good.

And next, finally Arthas appears. To be honest, it was least problematic part, but... That one page when Arthas was like "ohoho you were so beuatiful before you died" and at least in polish translation she was like "uhh and you stink". I totally lost it . I was like NO. I don't have much to add, it was just so cringy that I can't.

And I didn't liked how Anduin reacted to her s. attempt. Like I expected him to understand more and not trying to tell her some shit that people who don't understand depression say.

And something just about polish translation: I heard that it's Blizzards weird politics, but nah, I hate that they really have to translate everything. Like they even translated name, Sylvanas to Sylwana. Imo they shouldn't stop there but just call her Sylwia, Anduin would be Andrzej and Arthas would be Artur. It could be reference to King Arthur!! 🤡

Not the end, I will continue ranting because words doesn't describe how I hate canon wow characters in book and how much I feel that they need justice and rewriting.

AlexandraSave 1.0 :: The Boarders

Anyone remember the asylum challenge for Sims 4?

It's gone (fortunately) out of fashion to use the term "ins*ne" (now it's Erratic), and the idea of breaking out of the asylum as part of the challenge is quite 19th century. "I'm the one sane person here!" smacks of single-hero plotlines, which personally I've had enough of.

HOWEVER, the idea of eight Erratic Boarders in a home Without Enough Beds still compels me, and the game requires sims with the Erratic trait for park sleepers (stereotype but also true that the mentally ill and those with untreated personality disorders often wind up homeless), so I'm including a household in my save file. They live in my not-yet-haunted-because-it's-just-base-game abandoned mansion in Newcrest.

I love this household, not gonna lie. I used the randomizer extensively for skintones, names, favorite colors and traits, and then tried to dress each one appropriately for their attributes. I love how diverse they turned out, and honestly how realistic. I included Blair as a nonbinary AMAB sim. They're perfectly content being who they are, and wear a mix of masc/fem clothing. Ryder is transfemme, and despite how the game tends to frames, when someone transitions their frame actually changes and shrinks, so Ryder has a feminine frame but still uses the toilet standing up, and she can't get pregnant.

(I would much prefer if The Sims had more detailed personality disorders with more nuanced behaviors, but they can't get regular behaviors properly nuanced so idk why I would set my sights that high, lol.)

Im with you. Erend is so unremarkable. it’s always about what HE gets out of the relationship and his feelings but what does Aloy get she doesnt already get from his friendship? Dudes like 30 w a beer gut. Cmon fans, love our girl Aloy more than that pls.her drink w Erend was so bro-y. She was just sitting there like one of the guys, slouching and manspreading. It was hysterical; idk how anyone can see romance there.

Erend is, basically, the average audience self-insert into Horizon. He's a white man, who is close to his early 30s, slightly overweight, hyped up on the importance of his own opinion, and he's horny for Aloy. YET he's not happy with how independent she is from him.

I get why he's there. He's there as a point of relatability to the average gamer (Who is also a white, cis male in his 30s). I just can't stand him as a love interest. Nor can I pretend that his female equivalent would EVER be accepted as THE main love interest for any male protagonist. Because, female Erend would be laughed the hell off for even pretending to be worthy of any male protagonist's holy dick.

But a female protagonist? Women gotta settle!

Just.

Let's take a look at Erend's competition.

Avad - is super interested in Aloy because she's a strong woman, and he's a ho for that. BUT HEY! He was into Ersa for the same reason. And he moves on kinda fast! That's a reason to hate him, right? THE GAME AGREES!

YOU get to call him out on that in HZD if you want! You can tell him to fuck all the way off! AND - in HFW - he has LISTENED TO ALOY. His interest is still there, and he has taken her criticisms, and reflected on his behavior. AND if you're still not happy about it YOU CAN STILL TELL HIM TO FUCK OFF! And you never see him again afterwards. He has feelings about Aloy leaving, but he doesn't judge her for his own feelings.

Petra - also has feelings about Aloy leaving. AND SHE ALSO DOESN'T SHIT on Aloy for leaving. She's clearly hurt about it, but she doesn't shit on Aloy for it.

Erend? Aloy shows up in HZD, and he blames her for shit she had nothing to do with. She shows up in HFW, saving him, and he yells at her for going off to save the world.

AND THIS is the guy I'm supposed to root for as the main love interest? Some 'nice guy' who shits on the protagonist twice?

When no studio WOULD EVER make an overweight, 30 something woman with a drinking problem, who yells at the protagonist for saving the world - the main love interest?

Please.

We all know that Erend is only the main love interest because Aloy is a woman. If she were a man, there's no way on Earth he'd ever settle for a female version of Erend.

• We all know Kuroo is a relentless flirt/tease and is really fucking good at it. He won't lead someone on though. We stan a respectful and responsible king when it comes to the matters of the heart.

• You give it to him. This boy can kiss. Your heart is pounding, stomach doing flips. Fireworks dance across your body. The world faded away. There was only you and him.

• That is until you hear overwhelming cheers from Bokuto. Way to ruin the moment thanks bro
