Violet and her boyfriend, Everado Ichtaca. Those green trousers are intense. And if I recall correctly, that's a double-breasted suit jacket in brown that he's paired them with.

Not that you can tell from this, because as seems to be the norm for Sims, they had to choose the most annoying possible location from which to watch the stars. Oh well, if they're happy I'm happy.

Ok, I hadn't realized I never posted her on here...

So, I'll just get it out of the way and share now!

Here's my newest Rex x Serpents fankid, Isabella!

She's the youngest of the three, after the twins Ed and Mari. Unlike her siblings, she's a very high fashion girl. She's always wearing somewhat more expensive clothes then most of the family. Her parents do love to spoil their kids, but Isabella is the only one that really looks spoiled. She's also a daddy's girl, being pretty attached to Rex.

She's still struggling to actually decide what to do with her life a few years after school's finished for her. She's mostly sticking with her family for the time-being, being in no huge rush to actually find any career.

No art yet, but she has a partner named Ichtaca, that she knew from childhood.

Isla Paradiso Lags Fix & Tips

Isla Paradiso is known to be one of the buggiest towns in The Sims 3 franchise. Below we've gathered several tips on various fixes and lessening the lag. Mods and replacement town included.

Mod fixes:

Using following NRAAS mods:

ErrorTrap and Overwatch are a must for catching and correcting in-game errors, lags, issues and possible corruption. Overwatch can also be used to stop pet adoptions. Active Sim > NRaas > Overwatch > Settings > Stop Pet Adoption.

MasterController and Cheats module to remove all Pets in the world. In-game, click on City Hall or Computer > NRAAS > Master Controller > Town > Total Annihilation > Animals.

Register to control the number of strays in town. City Hall or Computer > NRAAS > Register > Animal Control.

Retuner for adjusting and managing EA's default settings. NRaas > Retuner > Settings > General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.PetSystems > StrayPets.

StoryProgression to control the number of Pets in town. City Hall/Computer > Story Progression > General Options > Suns > Maximum Residents (Default for all the animals is 25 for each species). And Story Progression > Town Options > Maximum Size Pet (The default for families is 6 pets each family).

Mod The Sims - Reduce/Remove Lag caused by Houseboats - a mod which disallows NPCs to move houseboats and change ports.

Fixed World:

Mod The Sims - IslaParadiso.world with Fixes applied [update 2013.11.29]

In-game fixes:

Pull up the cheat console and enable cheats. Testingcheatsenabled true. Pull up the cheats again, and type in discoverallunchartedislands. This allows for the fog to clear and lift some of the lag.

Next up, delete all houseboats. Keeping the families depends on the player. At the end, houses and houseboats of following families should be deleted: Scott, Los Amigos, Ichtaca, Medina, The Romantic, The Prince.

Now she was sure he was purring, she could feel the sound rumbling against her chest as he lapped at her neck.

It’s like he’s drunk— can gods get drunk on human blood? Wait a second, did he say the… Ichtaca ? Kagome frowned at the shadowy ceiling — it was undeniably stupid to ask, but it was irresistible. “Is that why you’re in here? Are you a secret?”

Here's another CAS post of the festival costumes that didn't make the main story. These are worn by the Alto family, and this post features the last teen 'elite' costume.

I learned the Alto's names during my wiki search to acquire the first names of the Vidals who I shared last week. On Joel's page I discovered his relationship to Ashley (third shot) and when I clicked through I was able to identify her and her parents, Alfonso (first shot), and Lopita (second shot), as sims I'd dressed for the festival.

Since Alfonso and Ashley's outfits aren't just color variations of costumes previously shared, I will talk about Lopita's garments first. Last week while discussing Valerie Vidal's costume, I mentioned the women's skirt lengths and there relation to position. I noted that Valerie's short skirt was a rank demotion and that before the demotion, her household held the same position as the Alto's. Valerie's original outfit would have been identical to Lopita's (pictured above) and their outfits are pretty much identical to Carolina Ichtaca's save for the headpiece and different colors.

As stated last week, the Vidals and the Altos were the right and left hand of the Ichtaca during the region's colonization. While the women's identical outfits denote the same rank, the men's outfits, which differ slightly, reflect different roles. The Altos were the left hand of island conquest. While the Vidals played peacekeepers and brokered trade and treaties, the Altos stabbed enemies in the back and stole territories. To represent this, I selected a longer hooded (although the hood isn't up) top and colored the face of Alfonso's mask dark green as oppose to gold to suggest a role in the shadows. These are the two detail differences between Alfonso's costume and the current right hand costume which I've yet to share.

Now it's time to get into some of my frustrations.

Styling the Vidals and Altos made me realize just how little attention I've paid (and apparently EA paid) to teens. My options in CAS were quite limited, and even though I'm very cc friendly I still had a hard time finding teen island themed pieces outside of modern swimwear. I wanted Ashley's outfit to fit the location and also be somewhat modest as the 'elites' are meant to be a little stuffy. What she has on was the best I could do, and I can't say I'm happy with how things turned out. I've got nothing deeper to say about her fit than this was all I had. If there had been more than one 'elite' teen girl in another family holding a different position from the Alto's I don't know what I would have done clothing wise. The limitations of my choices made me both happy I didn't take shots of any 'elites' for the actual story, and even more frustrated that I don't know how to make or convert cc. I would absolutely love for all of the fantasy and historical costumes that @venusprincess-ts3 makes to be available for teens, and while I realize I can make some NRAAS adjustments so teens can wear adult clothes, I hate getting excited by possibilities only to end up with neck gaps and/or dresser changing outfits on top of possible game crashing.

I have both immigration and emigration disabled, aside from telling it to replace NPCs with immigrants, which is just so I don’t get all the role sims tending booths and registers and working as mixologists looking like pudding sims. The town has been doing pretty well at keeping itself populated, and gave me a nice crop of children, which I showed off over on Carl’s board in this thread here and here. I have autonomous risky and try for baby turned on, to help keep population up and things interesting. It’s now the fifth week in the game, and I’ve been enjoying the popups from NRaas story progression and woohooer. During the game he married Gabrielle Arias and they now have a son. I used a CAS sim with the deep sea diver LTW and have been playing him. (Actually, I had the Wainwrights go to that when I plopped them in an IP save for their vacation in that chapter of Brilliant Minds.) The save works well enough to be playable, although periodically I have to reset Rubisel Ichtaca and Akoni Kahale when they become unroutable trying to go home. I put the three Supernatural rabbit holes into a small park-like lot that I placed on the main island, and I turned that one bar/hangout in town into a lounge. I converted one of the starter homes to a combination elixir shop and nerd hangout. I also put in a bunch of themed lots I found online, like a consignment shop, salon, fire station, and dive bar called the Salty Dawg. It gives me a little bit of a vicarious feeling of being on a vacation myself.Īnyway, I have a heavily altered IP starting save where I fixed some of the errors known to cause problems. Sure, the routing is insane and it’s possibly the worst world for lag, but it’s so gorgeous. So things have been going well with that save for several real life weeks.Every now and again I start up a save in Isla Paradiso because it’s such a beautiful world, and I enjoy the scenery and diving stuff. So now I'm wondering, is there any way to find out what went wrong with him that did such a number on my game? I've never had a bit of trouble from him in any game I've played in his original home world, and it took 4 sim weeks for this issue to occur in the current save, and those were all weeks when my active sim traveled extensively to the WA worlds, doing adventures and taking pictures. So when I was ready to play today, I opened that same last save, annihilated that sim with MC, then reset everything. He was a sim I had placed in the town when I started playing there, one I had made as a resident for one of my own worlds. As soon as the reset started, I got an MC notification of a script error on a sim, every time. I didn't have time to do any more with it that night, but I had noticed one thing. I actually went through the process more than just the four times I mentioned, but the same thing happened every time. I have to exit Kaspersky anti-virus to play my game, and I was pretty sure I had done so before I started playing the first part of the day, which I had had to quit before the day's end, but just in case I had missed doing so and the save was corrupted, I returned to the previous save from the day before and reset. So I started again, played to the end of the day again, saved the game, then reset, and once again, it got stuck processing. So I started from the last save, played to the end of the day again and reset again. I wasn't too concerned as things like that sometimes happen for on a one time basis. I had to use the task manager to close the game. Last night it was time for my sim-weekly town reset, but it got stuck on endless processing. On another note, I've just had some issues with resetting everything myself. I did refer her to the document on this site about improving game performance.

I wish I knew, so I could give her some suggestions as to how to fix it. Plus she always stretches the household limit in a big way, not to mention doing everything possible to promote multiple births from every pregnancy. She tried again, and everything went well, so she plans to continue resetting her towns regularly.Īs for why her games get corrupted so easily, could it possibly be because she uses a lot of CC? Also her computer isn't the best.
