Prosecutors from the International Criminal Court have interviewed staff from Gaza's two biggest hospitals, two sources told Reuters, the first confirmation that ICC investigators were speaking to medics about possible crimes in the Gaza Strip. I do the calibration and... Discord's dark grey is noticeably cooler on my desktop monitor than on my laptop screen. gamma does at least look about the same but gaaaaah. i thought i'd finally solved all this.

on some investigation, comparing web pages side by side in Firefox, except for the limited gamut of my display clipping out certain colours on the laptop, they really do look to be matched. so I think the problem is actually with Discord/Chromium not properly applying the ICC profile. not sure if that can be fixed.

It tells us that Western academe was completely unprepared for the material demands of decolonization despite its popularity as a professional brand. Many among the intellectual class, including scholars of Fanon like Adam Shatz and Lewis Gordon, either disavow or diminish anticolonial resistance or ignore it altogether. Academe is where resistance goes for processing and beautification after it has been completed. It’s rarely a place for the organizing stage. It tells us that deterrence isn’t a game of strategy played by eggheads on the internet, but an onerous project conditional on guns and rockets. Academics generally are too scared to say it, or, in an object lesson on arrogance, don’t actually believe it, but a cache of weapons will always be more important than a conference panel. It tells us that electoralism is a sham. There is no meaningful ideological variance among U.S. politicians at the national level. In practice, they range from center-right to fascist. In the upcoming presidential election, for example, voters will get to decide between two scarcely-functional old farts with histories of sexual misconduct and a complete devotion to Zionist genocide. It tells us that racism isn’t simply an attitude, for its origin is social violence and eventually it will become physically violent in order to perform its civic mandate. In the framework of settler colonization, racism manifests as a yearning for cultural purification through displacement of the native. It tells us that capitalism makes death a valuable commodity. The Zionist entity isn’t merely an imperialist beachhead; it is a major player in the international weapons trade. It tests new munitions, chemicals, and surveillance technology on Palestinians. It arms reactionary forces throughout the Global South. It serves as a conduit and accomplice to U.S. policing. Because of Zionist occupation, corporations enjoy the use of human subjects as raw material for development and innovation.

It tells us that we wasted a whole lot of time trying to convince the oppressor that we are worthy of life when the oppressor cannot live without our extinction.

More than anything, it tells us that in the benighted West there is no democracy, no free speech, no legislative remedy, no human rights, no right even to be human. These are illusions people repeat in an effort to survive pervasive depravity, or myths they cynically invoke to gather the crumbs of deprivation. There is a ruling class and various iterations of the dispossessed and the dispossessed exist only to serve ruling class gluttony.

That’s why countless people can deplore a genocide zoomed into our personal devices without being able to stop it. We are not simply ineffectual in the world of policymaking; policymakers are taunting us with their depravity.

What can we do, then? It’s important to start by recognizing that the entire political class, from presidents to online pundits, has no regard for us—detests us, in fact—and is therefore never a reliable source of empathy or relief. Denizens of this class do not want our feedback; they want us to scroll through the debris of their malevolence. Upon this recognition, the possibilities become clearer, albeit less convenient. But in the spirit of urgency, we can keep it simple: whether it happens in darkness or light, on screen or off, the Zionist entity needs to become an archive we browse as a cautionary tale, or else our future on this planet will be history."

High-profile Russians have left no doubt in anybody's mind that they are intent on committing genocide in Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin and his ethno-nationalist minions are intent on wiping out the concept of Ukraine as a country. That is what genocide is about as defined Article II of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

Vladimir Putin, along with other Russian officials and state-controlled media, openly declare their objective: the obliteration of the Ukrainian nation. The machinery of Russian state propaganda promotes a genocidal mindset towards Ukrainians among Russian soldiers today.  In Ukraine’s occupied territories, Russian forces are fulfilling their pledges through a series of atrocities, exemplified by the unearthing of mass graves and torture facilities in liberated cities such as Bucha and Izium.

on top of all my other problems with windows 11 such as trying to trick me into storing all my files in onedrive it seems like the default photo viewer only displays pictures with normal color saturation if they have an embedded ICC profile which is extremely inconvenient for me as an artist and also doesnt make any damn sense because im ALREADY using the default rgb profile of my laptop when i export the files so what the hell is photo viewer using

Here’s an updated version of my profile picture of me made greatly by @grantgfan and @hunty627. Since I have Procreate, I thought I’d expand and add different shirts and caps (and even shoes) to myself in these pictures. But the one above is the first and original profile and can be used from time to time by myself, Grant and Hunter. And this setup has a shirt that’s green on the top half and has the New York Central logo on it, and the bottom half is red and has the Pennsylvania Railroad logo on it. This shirt’s setup is a nod to the fact that NYC and PRR were fierce arch rivals during their day (before public betrayal, ICC villainy and interference, and mergers happened) over the routes between New York City and Chicago. Not to mention NYC was often dubbed the “Green Team” and PRR was dubbed the “Red Team”. As for the cap, it’s light blue’n’blue and has the Union Pacific logo, and that’s a reference to the fact that UP is the only surviving ancient American railroad.

Here’s the first new profile, and this second shirt has its top half green with the New York Central logo on it, and bottom half navy blue and has the Chesapeake and Ohio logo on it. This symbolizes the fact that during the age of steam on the railroads, the New York Central got the coal for its steam locomotives from the Chesapeake and Ohio.

Here’s the second setup in this group of setups. In this one, I have a shirt that’s navy blue on the top half and has the Chesapeake and Ohio logo, and the bottom is a lighter blue and has the Baltimore and Ohio logo. This set is a reference to the fact that C&O and B&O had a rivalry in terms of transporting people and goods across the Application Mountains.

Here’s the third setup in this group of setups. Here, I have an orange’n’red cap with the Milwaukee Road logo on it. The shirt here has a yellow’n’green top half with the Chicago and Northwestern logo on it, and the bottom half is white’n’red and has the Burlington Route logo on it. This setup is a reference to the fact that during the golden days of American railroading (before public betrayal, ICC villainy and interference, and mergers), these three railroads had a super tense rivalry with each other over the railroad routes between Chicago and Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul), with Milwaukee Road’s Twin Cities Hiawatha, Chicago and Northwestern’s Twin Cities 400 and Burlington Route’s Twin Cities Zephyr all racing against each other from Chicago to Twin Cities, and from Twin Cities to Chicago.

Here’s the fourth and final setup for this group of setups. Here, I have a red’n’white cap with the Burlington Route logo on. And the shirt here has its top half with the two shades of green of Northern Pacific and the Northern Pacific logo on it, and the bottom half of the shirt has orange and brown of Great Northern and has the Great Northern logo on it. This setup is a reference to the formation of Burlington Northern, which was formed when these three railroads merged on March 2nd, 1970.

And that’s all the setups for this batch. More are on the way, I just gotta think about what other colors and railroad logos to add and in which specific setup to serve as a reference to historical facts regarding the specific railroads.

sorry can you describe how to fix the color issue with procreate when sharing your art to other platforms? the screenshot you took is hard for me to understand and i’ve had the same problem with my art when i do post it

yeah I gotchu, I’ve defaulted to using the screen size canvas for years which has the color profile selected to display p3 which makes your art appear more saturated when in reality it looks desaturated on other devices, the setting you should use for more accurate colors is sRGB v4 ICC 1966-2. 1. I’m currently going back and fixing some of my favorite pieces by setting the color profile to sRGB to see the authentic colors and upping the saturation on the needed sections. Hope that makes sense ^^

Also I do like the screen size canvas on procreate so I just made a custom canvas with the same size except the color profile is sRGB :D

And no, that pic wasn't taken in January 2022. Very likely it was Easter weekend 2023 when they were both in LA. His glasses are not photoshopped and he most likely started wearing them in the spring // Someone used an app to see if it was recent and the app showed it wasn't taken this year but last year, in January. And that photo was taken by someone (likely AB) from a modure. You can see the reflex of someone taking a photo os the photo. If the photo was recent, why not post the original?

Okay, I have talked about this. The date that was shown in the exif data was ProfileDateandTime which shows ICC profile of the device was defined. It shows when the device was set up not when the photo was taken.

As for who took the photo, do we have any concrete proof of that? Yes the pic was taken of the original pic but it doesn't show who it was. I think the pic was taken to remove the exif data although the exif data gets removed by the sm platforms themselves.
