#random pet post #it really is a weird coat pattern #I'm never sure if I should describe him accurately as a white marked tabby or as the first impression people get of a black and white cat #love his little backward C's #I got all my other pets around the same time and they've been dying off one by one this last year or so #I'm down to just this 4yo kit and Bruiser #actually I'm not done whispering in the tags #pretty soon it's just gonna be me and this terrible little man against the world #and he gives me such weird problems you cannot even begin to imagine #took to the leash and harness without a bit of difficulty but I can't take him anywhere cuz he freaks out about people 500ft away #really difficult to find sitters for him cuz he gets so stressed about changes and waits until 3am to SCREAM #he's 17 lbs and wants to sleep on my chest 14 hours a day #took him on a work trip a week or 2 ago cuz of aforementioned petsitting troubles and some kind of wire got crossed #so instead of stress peeing in my laundry basket he now humps the nearest blanket covered limb to alert me of problems #he got scared of his water dish recently and is only now starting to get over it after 3 weeks of drama #he knocked it over last night and humped my leg while I tried to sleep to try and convey to me that he was thirsty #I'm thinking of getting a second cat and just fucking hoping that it'll be normal and maybe Prompto can target it for some of his weirdness

What's (more likely) classist is writers thinking he needs to be taught right vs wrong from Bruce and co and that he consequently makes snap judgments out of some childish grudge-fueled rebellion which makes him dangerous the way a toddler holding a knife is dangerous

found this little cute tidbit on Facebook today, and i'm in some kinda mood so i'm gonna be brutal for a moment before we go back to our daily scheduled fun times:

Reality is not the dawn of horrors, and you're not an adult for thinking like that; or let me put it more concisely— you're the most useless form of adult if you succomb to comfortable cynicism and nihilism and ease your journey through life by grossly simplifying all of it to hopelessness and misery and terrible 8pm news on TV.

Because if there's one thing, it's that hope requires courage. A comfortable person goes from all out optimism to all out pessimism, never taking a moment to stop along the road to marvel at the flowers that bloom from the heart of stone ground anyway. We're living in trying times, but so have our loved ones 5 years ago, and their loved ones 50 years ago, and their loved ones' loved ones 500 years ago. You've never been alone in going through hell, and you're not alone in having the capacity to do whatever you can, in your own way. We have always been courageos; there was no other way to be. It was never about being strong or being in denial, it was about grieving what we cannot be and cannot do, and then holding on to our hearts and doing what we can do anyway.

So i need you all to understand that adulthood is not habits and it's not misery; it's the courage to hope. And it happens not in the absence of misery, but despite it. And i believe we can still be courageous in however little ways we can. ❤️

i think the issue is that, because the dance of the dragons would be seen as a pretty black and white issue for any modern audience (is there anyone who reads fire and blood and ISN’T on team blacks), and because the showrunners wanted to make this more of a muddied water situation, they have put a lot more effort into characterizing and fleshing out “the queen’s party” than they’ve done with “the party of the princess”. we learn a lot more about and get a lot more character work for people like alicent and aemond and helaena and even aegon, far more than we ever do about jace or luke or joffrey or baela or rhaena or even rhaenys, and don’t get me started on how just fucking confusing daemon is half the time, and what we know about people like corlys is pretty one note. rhaenyra’s the only one of that side who’s getting anything fleshed out, as opposed to literally everyone else opposing her where we get things like otto’s ambition warring with his love of family, while everyone on her side of the board is ridiculously flattened out to one or two character traits, or basically being furniture, where we get things like me being genuinely confused over which of laena’s twins is betrothed to who and how does she even feel about it, who knows. 

and it’s ending up in this bizarre situation (for me at least), where intellectually i’m on the side of the blacks because they’re just in the logical and moral right of the situation that’s going to create the dance, the matter of the succession, but i’m so much more emotionally invested in the greens and in their desires and growths and struggles.

(re)dyed my own hair for the first time 😎

#i've never dyed my own hair before i had my friend do it for me last month and teach me how to do it now i am a Pro 😎 #jk i'm just rlly hoping i didn't miss any of the roots in the back lol #it was pretty well saturated so i think we're gucci but we shall see #i will probably eventually start getting it done at a salon when i'm ready to do something other than black #but for now my lil box dye works just fine #hikey
