“Remind me why the fuck you two are wasting all your time on this again?” Mickey asks, wandering into their disaster of a kitchen where Ian and Franny are both covered in flour. Ian’s hands are stained like a rainbow and Franny’s eating sprinkles by the handful.

“Mick!” Ian scolds him for his language before answering. “Because Franny asked her teacher if she could give a presentation about Pride and every presentation goes better with treats.”

Mickey can see Ian’s proud uncle heart beaming.

“‘Cause my uncles are fuckin’ gay!” Franny yells excitedly.

“Franny!” Ian starts. “You can’t—” but Mickey cuts him off.

“Damn right they are. And you tell all your friends, and fuck any of ‘em who got a problem with that.”

Mickey ruffles Franny’s hair before stepping closer to his husband and stealing an easy kiss in their kitchen. Easy now but hard earned.

For this month’s theme I made painted glass jar vases. I grabbed some clear glass jars for a couple bucks a piece, painted them with a mix of Mod Podge and food coloring, then let them bake for a little bit, and voila!!
