Con La Brisa from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album is so fucking addictive. Just came back from watching the movie, it was amazing and the song has been on repeat since I came out of the theater.

LA LUNA Y EL MAR. #1
Namor x MayaFem! Reader
hi!
I’m Aline and I’m very excited to be able to publish this at last.
I have to clarify a few things before you read:
I’m not Maya but I tried to be as respectful as possible by integrating different details of the culture.
I don’t speak Maya but I used a Spanish-Maya translator from the Mayan Intercultural University of Quintana Roo who helped me to be able to make the reader speak Maya, I apologize if there are any mistake.
Since English is not my first language, I use DeepL translator so that the text is in English, I apologize if there is any grammar mistake or if there are parts that are meaningless. Let me know if you see something.
DISCLAIMER: There is mention of nudity but NOT in a sexual aspect, the protagonist is Mayan by birth and speaks Mayan as well as English (although in the original version it is Spanish but it is translated, anyways), Namor is wanting to conquer a difficult woman, the name of the reader town is not mentioned because I didn’t think of anything. SOME TENSION BUT NOT AS MUCH
COMMENT, LIKE AND REBLOG IF YOU LIKE. LET ME READ YOUR OPINIONS.

From a very young age there was something different about me, my name was given to me in honour of the goddess who watched over my mother and me at the time of my birth, Ixchel, goddess of the moon, love, gestation, water, medicine and textile work, I received her blessing and protection from the moment I arrived in this world.
I was three months old when my life changed, my jets' meek', or my baptism as the colonisers called it, would take place, my grandmother would be my godmother and together with the person in charge of officiating the ceremony, my parents and the members of the community, we went to a remote place in the middle of the jungle.
When we arrived at the place to be baptised, there was a bonfire formed by three large stones in the centre, this was lit and the ceremony began, I was too small to remember what happened, my mother refused to tell me what happened and my father only scolded me every time I asked how I got my gifts, the only one who agreed to tell me what happened was my grandmother, after making me swear that I would never say anything to anyone.
She says that a few minutes after I started, my crying became present and the jungle was enveloped in total calm, the fire flared up and the clouds that covered the moon moved, allowing the moon to bathe me in its light. The wáay (wizard) of the community, looked at me in fear and then said
"U k'uchul k protectora" (Our protector has arrived).
"Ba'ax tu u refiere." (What does it refer to?) mum asked as she looked worriedly at the wáay.
"Le diosa ujo' ts'o'ok yéeyik a waal utia'al u vele tuméen le ma'alob to'on" (The goddess Moon has chosen your daughter to watch over the good of us).
The only noise was the wood burning, my grandmother assured me that even the animals had fallen silent.
"Ku nats'ikuba'ob oba' k'iino'oba' dark times and men across the sea will come" (Dark times are coming and men across the sea will come).
The whole community was surprised and many of them did not understand how a baby would protect them, they never dared to question what was said, my parents were the leaders and I was their heir.
But as time went on, I grew older and the arrival of these men drew nearer.
I was 5 years old when my brother, K'iino', who was named after the Sun who watched over his birth, arrived. We were opposites, but from the moment I saw him in my mother's arms, I knew I would give my life for him and the term protector took on a certain logic.
When I was 9 years old, to honour my birth, my father gave me two wristbands made of a strange metal that had been discovered in a remote part of the jungle, and from that moment on I wore them every day. Dad told me that there was nothing tougher than that strange mineral and that if I was in danger, they would be of great help to me.
Only a few months after that, they brought those men that the goddess Luna had warned us about. At first they explored the area around our community, but one night, while I was sleeping with my family, the piercing screams of the people around us alerted us, and when we came out of the house, everything was on fire.
Those men, speaking an unknown language, were beating and burning our houses, some were trying to take women away, they were struggling but those guys had strange weapons, so it was very easy for them to attack them.
I took my wristbands and together with the men of the community, I rushed to defend our home, mother and K'iino' fled together with grandmother, I remember their faces full of terror and tears running down their cheeks. They tried to stop me but it was my duty to look after the good of my people.
Some of them threw bullets at me that were no match for my wristbands, but not all my warriors were as lucky, we managed to wipe out all the invaders, but when we looked for dad, he was lying on the ground with a hole in the centre of his stomach, some coloniser had shot him.
The leader of my people had fallen at the hands of these men.
"A prometo wáaj ka kanáantik na' yéetel u k'iino', ma' ti' leti'ob yaan u mentik si'ipil Ma'atech mixba'al, teech ka juro. Je'el u páajtal a je'elel yuum, teech jump'éel guerrero" (I promise to protect and take care of mum and K'iino', they will never lack anything, I swear. You can rest, daddy, you are a warrior)
"Taas tsikbe'enil a kaajal yéetel a ba'atsil, táan in seguro u u a asab" (Bring honour to your people and your family, I am sure you will do your best).
My father smiled a little and sighed finally closing his eyes, I kissed his hand and stood next to him.
No one was going to attack my people, let alone hurt my family like that again.
I remember that we said goodbye to him in a Cenote, as our tradition marked it, I was the last one to leave the place, because being there, made me feel him close, the calm that the water gave me was something like no other, the crystalline water invited me to submerge myself in it.
When I was thinking of doing it, I heard screams in the distance, it was not my village because it was very far from the point, but as I could not leave without investigating, I went into the jungle, I knew it like the back of my hand, so it was not difficult to locate me, I was approaching the sea, the waves were breaking in the distance.
When I was close enough to see what was happening, I noticed how those conquerors were fleeing in terror, my eyes managed to visualise what they were escaping from, they were blue men carrying what looked like a corpse.
They were blue.
In the centre was a boy of my age, apparently, wearing green shorts and ostentatious jewellery, he had wings on his ankles and was walking guarded by those creatures.
I moved my position so that I could observe him better, keeping my distance, for they had begun to attack those usurpers, the house they had built to protect themselves was on fire and those creatures showed no mercy.
The boy turned in my direction and I am sure he caught sight of me, for he frowned in confusion that there was someone spying on them, but he did nothing to approach.
I ran away from the place and came to the community warning that we had to be ready in case of an attack, I never said from whom.
But that never happened.
[…]
Years passed and the community learned to handle the indestructible mineral.
We became invincible to those men and as time passed, we also became invisible, we became one with the jungle and no one from the outside bothered us.
I became the leader and protector of my whole community, I was a goddess to them, for they took me as the representative of the moon goddess on earth. So, I took on the role given to me without resistance.
Our territory was made up of almost 80% jungle, which I knew perfectly well, there was not a single tree, plant or animal that I did not know about, it was my home and I knew how to move around there, but the remaining 20% was a beautiful coast that gave way to the most beautiful sea, where the waves broke against the white sand and the smell of the salt water was refreshing.
My people hardly went there, after a few sightings of the blue beings, even my best warriors refused to go to this part of the territory at night, they said the sea was too scary.
And I would be lying if I didn't accept that on more than one occasion, my hair stood on end as I felt someone carefully following my movements.
I remember being 25 years old one night when I managed to sneak away from the council (made up of my mother, my brother who became a cunning warrior and some elders), I headed to the beach, there was a full moon in the sky and I needed to be in contact with the water to let go of all my worries.
I took off my white dress, and undid the braids in my hair, it fell down my back, black and unruly, my mother said it was the same shade as the night sky.
When the only thing I was wearing was the jewellery on my body, I walked to the shore and after feeling the water on my feet I began to walk into the sea, when I reached waist level, I submerged completely.
The moon gave me light, the reflection of the moon on the sea was the only thing that gave me vision and clarity, I allowed myself to dive a little deeper and explore the beauty of the ecosystem that surrounded me, the fish swam in harmony with me, but the water embraced me and I felt at home.
When I came up for air, I felt it, someone was watching me.
It wasn't an animal, but the look it gave me made me feel as if I was its prey.
I started to swim towards the shore, trying to identify where the penetrating gaze was coming from, it didn't seem to lose track of me for a second.
When I came out of the sea, I turned around to identify whatever was watching me, the wind pierced my bones and that's when I remembered my nakedness, as I put on my dress, I saw someone emerge from the depths.
It was a man, the darkness made it impossible for me to identify him, but when he rose, his shadow came between me and the moonlight.
He had wings around his ankles.
My mouth opened slightly in shock and I felt like I was 9 years old once again.
None of us said anything..
He didn’t try to get close and I didn’t try to have some kind of contact.
He just wanted him to know that he was there.
That he was watching me.
After a few seconds, we heard someone coming towards us, so the young man quickly sank into the sea.
A moment after that, my brother appeared, carrying a torch in his hand and with a frightened face worthy of a portrait.
"A wojel ba'ax ma' in p'u'ujul a taal le nu'ukulil u lu'umil, ba'ale' ma' a escabullas, u k'áate' u logras le ts'áaten jump'éel ma'alo'ob susto" (You know I don't mind you coming to this part of the territory, but don't sneak away, that the only thing you achieve is to give me a good scare).
I laughed and promised not to run away again.
He started walking towards the jungle, I stayed behind and admired the sea once again, there was so much to see.
[...]
The years passed and even though I looked young, my age was many centuries older than I appeared, my grandmother was gone, as was my mother, as was K'iino', all at different times but a long time ago.
At least throughout their lives I took care to keep the promise I made to dad, don't let anyone hurt them, but time is cruel and leaves no one behind, except me, it seems.
My people had dwindled but remained firm and stable, the people who were with me in the early years were long gone, and others came who also left, I remember the names of all of them and the work they did to help the community.
I was on the beach, looking at the horizon and listening to the sea when a young man who reminded me a lot of K'iino', approached me.
"Yaan ba'al in x-ko'olel. Ma' k ojel le Ba'ale' ma' ba'al túumben, ya'ab yaan k'iin" (There is something, my lady. We don't know what it is but it's not something new, it's been around for a long time).
I took my spear and asked him to lead me to where the thing they had found was. He nodded and started walking through the grass, I had walked this path a thousand times and never noticed anything out of the ordinary, but when we arrived there was something different for sure.
A large stone door was in front of us, I could have sworn there was a Cenote, but I had never seen this before, the stone was carved and it was even older than my birth.
I ordered everyone to return to the city, some of them refused to leave me alone, I told them that if I did not return when the sun was about to set, to come and find me at this point. I could not risk putting them at risk.
I walked inside the archway once everyone had left and when my eyes got used to the lack of light, I noticed that there was only calm, the water was calm, the only thing that disturbed it was the steps I took to be able to observe everything better.
There was nothing out of the ordinary on the surface, when I dived to see everything in a better way, at the bottom of the Cenote, there was a beautiful orange conch shell, I swam until I reached it and took it to be able to return to the jungle.
When on the shore, I brought this beautiful object to my mouth and blew on it with the intention of getting the water out of it, but it emitted an incredibly powerful sound that made my skin freeze.
I left the cave quickly and entered the jungle once more, but only a few minutes later the rustling of leaves behind me gave away the person who was following me.
I turned quickly, putting my spear to his neck.
When I saw who it was, my eyes widened in surprise.
"Ta t'aanaj wáaj" (Did you call me?) the man said to me, unfazed by having a pointed object in the centre of his throat.
His naked abdomen, now completely marked, was wet and some drops were sliding down it, his hair was damp and he wore ostentatious jewellery, made of jade and gold, he was still wearing those green trousers and the wings on his ankles confirmed to me who he was.
"Máakalmáak a k'aaba'." (What is your name?) I demanded to know as I exerted a little pressure.
"My people call me K'uk'ulkan, but my enemies call me Namor." He said in the language of the colonisers, which took me by surprise.
He took advantage of my distraction and pulled me closer to him, knocking my weapon out of the way.
"How do you know the language of the colonists?" I demanded to know.
"I have to know who I'm up against," he said bluntly.
"Táan a tu lu'umil ma' a tia'al" (You are in territory that is not yours) I let him know as I discreetly examined his face.
"Teech ta t'aanen" (You called me) he replied, as I did, analysing my face in detail.
"Tin wilech ka ka'ach juntúul x-yéetel le wíiniko'obo' ch'ooj" (I saw you when I was a little girl, with the blue people) I said immersed in his black eyes, changing the subject and ignoring that I played that melody.
He nodded as immersed as I was.
"Ka'ach tu paach tu paach le páak'alo'obo', kin k'a'ajsikech. Bey u jáal, ka'ach báabo'ob ken a suku'un Chíikpaj" (You were behind the plants, I remember you. Like on the beach, you were swimming when your brother appeared).
His words sent a shiver down my spine.
"Wáaj Buka'aj k'iin In Meent a wilmajij'." (How long have you seen me?) I asked him doubtfully.
He didn't answer me. He just kept quiet
"Ka'ach ti' jump'éel kúuchil kili'ich utia'al Talokan" (You were in a place sacred to Talokan) he said to me in a stern tone of voice.
"Ma' uts tin repeat in k'áat chi'oba'. Ba'ax ku beetik Buka'aj k wilik." (I don't like to repeat my questions. How long have you been seeing us?) I demanded that he answer me in a stern tone.
I turned away from him and we began to walk in circles, waiting for an attack from the other. For my part I was watching for his people to show up.
"Tak u yáax k'iin (From the first day).
My spear was in my hand again, and my hair was swaying in the wind as I waited for his explanation
"Ka tin wilaj ichil le xíu, Yanchaj ba'al ti' a wicho'ob in tu t'aanaj u yaalak'." (When I saw you in the undergrowth, there was something in your eyes that called to me).
He approached with cautious steps and my eyes followed his movements in detail. When his body was very close to mine, he lowered his gaze and said, almost whispering.
"Yaan ya'ab ku" (There was much courage).
I remained static in my place, the wind blew even stronger and the leaves began to whistle.
"The surface world is cruel and merciless, our peoples are in constant danger" he said very close to my ear, as he gently grabbed my shoulders.
I turned my head very discreetly so that he could fit his face between my neck, he understood my hidden intentions and moved closer to me.
"But your people have managed to remain stable and protected on this terrible planet. All thanks to you." he praised me. "I have done the same for my people and Talokan has kept himself hidden from all those who wish to harm him."
I did not understand the reason for his words.
"You are perceived as a goddess by your people, but you have no heirs and when you are gone, there will be no one to carry on the legacy”.
I averted my gaze in annoyance.
"We are not so different, you and I only seek the best for our people. If we were united there would be no threat."
I quickly understood his intentions and faced him.
"I have never wanted an heir, let alone to be in a marriage," I clarified.
Namor quickly hardened his gaze.
"If you wish to make an alliance between your people and mine, our marriage is not the way to do it," I turned away from him and my posture changed to a sterner one.
"Since I first saw you all those years ago, I knew I wanted to reign alongside Talokan.
"We were just children," I said firmly.
"But not anymore and as time passed, your beauty matured and you became the perfect queen to sit next to me on Talokan's throne."
The sun was beginning to set and I had to return to my village.
"Teech k'a'am yéetel ba'ate'elo'obo' tuméen a wíiniko'obo'" (You are strong and you fight for your people).
"Your proposal is based on a childish whim that I refuse to be a part of," I broke the tension that had built up and began to walk home.
"Jáan" (I will return)
"Le núukik le ka yaan ma', ku suut a wotoch ka náachkunta'al teech in yéetel in kaajal" (the answer is and will be no, go back home and away from me and my people )
Yes, there is a second part.

Oooh can you write a Namor x Reader!waterbender/powers where he meets her and is immediately attracted to her. While she is like I wanna fight this guy because he's such an arrogant douche. And namor is like damn she's hot when she's angry and the fight is basically foreplay for them and they end up being insanely attracted and horny at the end of it.
OOOOOOO Yes I can! This'll be a oneshot, just becuase I have too much on my plate to write. Happy New Years!
Also, forgive me if it seems kinda off been having writers block for the past few weeks!

It was told though mouth-of-mouth that the 'power to manipulate the water was given to everyone, if it were given to everyone it wouldn't be so special anymore.' Your mother once told you that when you first showed signs of the hydrokinetic ability at the ripe age of 4, with no help from the father you inherited it from you had to teach yourself how to control those abilities, how to grow them and how to not use them for you r own gain.
This power could have made you a god or even the next Avengers if you embraced it how your cousin Aspen Matthews did. But, she was the star of the family, there can never be two. If so one will try hard to outshine the other. Hence your mother made you swear you'd keep it a secret from everyone in her family, your friends, your lovers, even your best friend who was as normal as they can get.
'No one will ever understand your hardship! They'll turn you into a lab rat!'
It was hard to ever embrace your power thanks to your mothers harsh words. After discovering your powers, she became very...paranoid about them. Telling you all these things the government would do to you if you ever used them in public, and how you could never be as strong as your cousin Aspen, she was the golden child, you were just the extra.
That can surely crush a child's confidence.
But you grew up hidden. Making sure no one saw you use your abilities, never used them in public only at home in the shower or at a lake. Yet, it called to you. It always beckoned you to the sea.
The inconceivably vast briny deep waters yelled at you with their tides crashing against the sandy shore and the waves waving at you like a temptress beckoning her lover. You've never been to the sea. And the day that you did, you regretted it, dreadfully so.
Another day another boring and very tedious chore of listening to this man yap away about his plans for the future, your future with him to be exact. Honestly, you don't understand why you entertain this dummy! While giving him a good once over you narrowed your eyes and came to a solid conclusion.
You were just lonely.
After living alone for a few months in isolation you met a strange sea man, he wasn't dangerous nor was he a threat. Well, unless you considered annoying a threat.
It was everyday, every single day, he'd come up to shore at the same time and his mouth spewed out these sentences that irked you, it made your blood boil and you had no choice but to retaliate with your own words then it came down to your fists. He discovered your power when you were being careless on his way back from taking down a whole ship that sought out pure vibranium from his waters.
Currently you were in the midst of throwing icy water disks you created from the sea at the flying sea king who finally got you to this point. It was always something with this guy and his,'...let's burn the world together,' that never sat well with you. Hell, if you were any hopeless romantic chick you'd say yes before he finished asking. Because admit it, he was a king, a god, a mutant like you and he looked...good. Some would say you were stupid to deny him anymore than you have but you were going on a solid five months telling him no.
But the stubborn king didn't take no for an answer. Each and every time he came to the surface with a different reason why you should join with him. You heard him out at first and after you got comfortable with him around and understood why he wanted to destroy the surface being all nice and even flirty, he asked to use your power and exploit it. To destroy a nation that was hidden away from the world and for the entire planet to fear you.
Namor knew it wasn't a good idea to use your loneliness or your vulnerability you had to the world but he was desperate. He wanted to use your power, yes, but he wanted your hand along with it. He didn't want the world to know you as 'Y/N, Wakandas Destroyer,' He wanted you to be,'Y/N, The Feathered Serpents Wife' or even 'Y/N Talokans Queen.' Any of that would be acceptable but you cut him off before he could finish explaining.
Hence the physcal fights started. You didn't enjoy them but it sure felt good to kick water boys ass once in a while when you did. He on the other hand loved watching your both twist and turn, hands moving majestically through the air and summoning the waters he cherrished so much being loved by your fingertips.
Even if he was on the deadly side of those attacks he loved every minute of it. He made it clear that he loved it, getting hit, getting cut, bruised, he took it all because that was the only caresses he would get from you and he would smirk everytime he got hit.
It infurriated you. Why would he keep coming back if he got hurt all the time? Once, you beat him so bad he didn't get up. Attuma had to drag him back while shaking his head at his king. And his king being dragged back into the sea with a phantom of a smile on his bleeding lip. Namora knew Namor was holding back because of how he felt though he never said anything it was as clear as day that the king fancied you.
Panting you raised your hands in a defensive position. Your legs felt like jelly and your arms trembled. He looked ever the more dangerous right now and you weren't sure why, even Attuma and Namora who stood by the waters edge watched him come at you with all that he had and you barely dodged his attacks. It was like he was a whole different person, no more playful Namor, now stood before you was a hardened seasoned warrior of old and he was wounded.
What happened to him after those two weeks? He didn't visit you but Namora and Attuma did but barely. They were very vague about details and said Namor would explain when he came to see you again but there were no words spoken between the two except the one warning he gave you before locking fists together.
"Prepare."
You were just about to give up but you knew better than to do so. "You're so annoying and its fucking frustrating! Why did you even show up here in the first place if all you wanted from me was my power. You'll never get-"
A tanned fist came at you at lighting speed, you had your hands raised but when you were talking you left yourself open. He was going to kill you.
When that fist came it didn't connect with any part of your face or shoulders, instead you were lucky enough to be standing by a palm tree. It connected with that but you got the wind of it, with such force your bangs and loose pieces of hair went everywhere. First, a loud groan from the tree echoed through the small area around you then snapping, crackling and popping, the fibers of the wood breaking apart before finally a loud thud. But you didn't move, instead you stared wide eyed into the molten chocolate passionate eyes of the god king who was breathing heavily in front of you.
You always admired how he talked about his people, his land from before, his family, his time roaming the seas. You even enjoyed the looks he gave you when the both of you sparred just for fun but that was before he decided to go to war with Wakanda. After that it annoyed you.
Now, starring at how he looked at you with those lovely eyes made you yearn for 'what could have been'.
Dropping your arms and your stance you stood straight and proud. " I accept my defeat. As promised you can ask something of me,"
There was a set of rules the two for you followed when one lost or yielded:
Leave ego at the door.
Respect each others boundaries.
Whomever is knocked down or yields must do one thing the victor says.
The rules were easy and simple but you always won, he always told you he'd want to see you often and you banishing him from seeing you was definitely out of the question. So, you always asked for little things, trinkets from Talokan, foods from his city, and a chance to see the exotic fish humans would only dream of seeing but unfortunately some species would not survive up near the surface so you put a pin in that request.
Now, he was the victor. Dropping his tanned arm he moved closer to you placing his large warm hands on each of your upper arms gently squeezing. His eyes never leaving yours.
"You. Y/N, I want you,"
Your eyes widened a tad at his wish, a victor always got what they wanted if it didn't push the boundaries and that was one of the things you said he can never have. You.
You began to shake your head prepared to tell him that was her rule, she could never be his, your power could never be his but he shut you up by covering your mouth with his warm hand.
How rude! You narrowed your eyes at him hoping he had a good reason to be touching you in such a way.
" I know I can not have your power or whatever, but I don't want that. I want you, your body, I want to ruin you Y/N in every physical way possible until all your can think about is me," His voice was low and he leaned in close until his forehead rested upon your own hot one. Your face was red. Did his war leave him mental? Or was it the heat of this battle? Slowly he removed is hand from over your mouth.
Whichever it was it suddenly made your core tighten with a familiar squeeze you haven't felt in a while. Were you aroused by this? Yes, your sparring sometimes left you a bit flustered thanks to the words that were exchanged between the two of you but that couldn't lead to this. You were denying him what he wanted and he was unyielding of his decision, his request. Nevertheless, what he said plainly made you view him a little differently.
His arm retracted but before he took it back his warm fingers brushed against your red cheek followed by his palm, now he cradled your cheek in his hand. Namor made sure your eyes never left his praying that the emotions that played in his eyes were enough to confirm what he said. That's when you knew that he wasn't the only one who felt that same feeling.
Attuma and Namora looked at the scene and quickly scurried, well Namora forced Attuma to leave because he was ready to sit down and watch the show.
Soon the both of you were the only ones at the beach hidden by thick trees and rocks.
"Namor...Ku'kul'kan, I might be falling deep," Your voice trembled and it was quiet. There was a heat bubbling in the air between the two of you the more you realized that his words weren't just for show. they weren't painted sweet. He meant them.
With eyes casted down afraid if you looked at him further you'd loose yourself to t his sweet feeling that you just couldn't handle. Even feeling how awkward you felt Namor, without a word took your other cheek in his free palm and forced you to lift your head so you starred directly into his eyes. He was closer to you now both of your noses barley touching one another, both lips parted so your soft breathless pants mixed with his own.
"I've already fallen Y/N, I'll catch here at the bottom," With his breathless voice and your hesitancy to stop him he pushed his lips onto yours. It may have been brief but you were shocked but soon you closed your eyes and wrapped your arms around his shoulders touching his bare tanned skin feeling the flesh that you wanted to so badly bruise, tear apart and scar. Now you wanted to caress it and hold it.
He seemed to have the same thoughts because he tilted his head to the side forcing his hot tongue past your parted lips and dropped his large hands to your sides pulling at your flimsy shirt. He was already half naked while you still wore fabrics, it wasn't fair.
With tongue clashing against tongue you were surprised you were keeping up with the king of the deep with how thick and skilled his tongue was. Not even men you had fling with kissed this...this romantically. Your heart was beating so quickly in your chest you could hear it pounding in your ears!
Was this what it felt like to have your feelings returned? Was this what it meant to lust, to like, to...possibly love someone?
Breaking the kiss you had to pushed against his shoulders to give yourself some space, your lips were red swollen and wet, "Wait- wait we need-"
Again, you were cut off by yet another kiss you couldn't help but succumb to. Knees buckled and legs turned to jelly causing you to lose your balance and slip onto your knees , he feel to his knees with you breaking the kiss and next his lips your on your neck licking and kissing what he could of your sweaty flesh making you moan and shove at his shoulders. But it was like pushing a freaking wall of muscle! He wouldn't budge.
"N-Namor please," Your voice pleaded, whiney, to have him release you but alas he pretended not to hear your voice and pushing the sleeve of your top off your shoulder revealing your true flesh where the sea king greedily kissed, nipped and licked.
"I'm trying to catch you, I don't want you to hurt when you get down here mi reina," Deep, accented, rich and low.
Honestly, you didn't expect this outcome whatsoever. This was just sudden, and very surprising. A surprise that had your core tighten and caused a pool of heat to make itself known between your squeezing thighs, you were.. aroused.
A man of his caliber, a man who you avoided feelings for and masked it as annoying, a man who thought war was his only means of protecting his people, a man who almost killed you, made you feel as aroused as a whore in Babylon who hasn't had sex in weeks.
Well, not the best analogy but the idea was still there.
Before you knew it you let him push you onto your back into the sand, he slid between your legs and one hand was gripping the sand by the side of your head as the other reached for under your shirt. While caressing the flesh at your tummy he raised your shirt.
"Now you're docile, its cute to see you this way mi reina." He smirked while his hand fully slipped under your shirt and his fingers brushed against the underside of your breast. Why you didn't wear a bra today? Because you truly didn't expect t have company over like this.
Your cheeks redden and you quickly took hold of his hand stopping him from fully grasping your bare tit.
"I...this is embarrassing Namor," You cleared your throat," We were literally just fighting and now we're, what are we doing?"
Namore smiled, not his cheeky cocky smile but a genuine smile," We are just two people enjoying some time at a beach, two natural bodies who just so happen to be compatible enough to enjoy a dance that many before us enjoyed between man and woman,"
He scooted further forcing your legs to spread and hang around his thighs lazily, and you felt him. Hidden beneath those dark green trunks of his was a long hard slab of flesh already threatening to rip through the marital and it was pressing against your loose short shorts. Unfortunately, they were so loose they didn't bother to cover your snatch. Your trimmed bare snatch.
When you said you weren't prepared for anything you sure weren't, it was a laundry day so everything was being washed and or dried. Meaning panties, bras and even the good clothes you'd fight the sea king with.
He noticed in your fight a small glimpse of what you hid beneath thanks to your loose fitting clothes so it certainly helped him get riled up while he riled you up. A win was a win regardless of its means.
Namor had you beneath him almost as bare as he, if not more so, ready to receive because he already felt the slick wetness of your arousal against his trunk covered shaft.
"So, that means the sooner we couple the more we can realize just how badly we truly needed each other," Sliding one hand down to his golden belt he undid it carefully making sure to press that hard print against your cunt, squishing both sexes together while the claps were undone. He pulled the golden belt away from his waist and dropped it somewhere in the sand.
Did your bodies need each other? By the way your slick juice was leaving a slight damp mark on his trousers you'd say yes.
"We do fight each other very well, so maybe we do fuck well too," It embarrassed you to even say such a sentence. Especially when all you've been spewing from your mouth were insults and threats all directed towards him.
On the other hand he enjoyed seeing you struggle talking dirty to him. All those threats and insults fueled him and made him harder than he ever was and it was all thanks to you. While watching you he hooked his thumb on the waistband of his trunks and pulled them down, with urgency and you lifted your hips just as eager to finally catch that large slab of meat with your awaiting cunt with a loud wet slap.
You didn't bother to look at the dark tanned throbbing erection of his that was already beading at the tip. Okay, maybe you did but the slap to your cunt made your eyes to flutter closed briefly while a deep sigh of satisfaction left your lips.
Namor groaned under his breath as he prepared standing straighter and laying his cock over your mound and tummy. And with a thick warm finger he guided it over the length of himself before finally reaching to an area above your belly button, right where he measured the tip of his bulbous cock.
"This...this is where my cock is going to reach deep inside you,"
Your hand gripped his forearm that rested in the sand next to your hip,"You'll-tear me apart Namor," You whined squirming already.
He reared his hips back and made sure to position his tip between your puffy folds, you were already oozing with anticipation ready to start yet another fight with him, but this time with your full body.
The sea god hissed softly running his length up and down between your folds hearing how slick you were, it was a sound not even the sea can mimic. A real woman wet and ready was a gift man should always cherish.
And now a man of the water was going to drown in it.
"Then mi reina, lets count this as a win for me."
Without warning he found your entrance and pierced you, you welcomed him with a tight hot embrace of an eager cunt. A cunt he was already losing to. He was met with little resistance but there was some when he went further than any pervious man has ever gone.
It made you almost shriek! You grabbed his arm and placed a hand on hos abdomen making him stop. You were panting starring up at him with wide eyes, "Wait! Wait please-"
Taking your hands he held each one by the wrist and made sure you wouldn't escape from his grasp. God, you already knew what he was going to do.
The sea king looked down at you with a burning desire to ravish all that you were and to bring forth a destruction that lead to your end, an end that left you limp and drooling no doubt.
"And this, is where I catch you."
Using your hands as anchors to reel you back into his thrusts. And fit finally, he did. You were speechless when his hips connected with your ass making you bonce with each thrust, the claps, the plaps echoed along the beach and thankfully not a soul was in sight.
Finally you let out a sob like cry of pleasure when his finally let go of your hands just to grab your hips and lift them up a bit so his cock hit that one spot that made your toes curl. How did he know that was the spot?
With your back arched and head rolled back into the sand your only view was the sky and the ocean, waves of calm brushing against the shore one after the other almost mimicking Namors thrusts. It was driving you crazy.
"I-It feels so-" You gasped and your eyes crossed a bit as your body jiggled and bounced." So, so good!"
The poor sea king was groaning above you gripping your hips and concentrating on hitting the spots he guessed felt good to you, of course, it was purely guessing. Maybe the two of you were meant for each other. The soft caresses of your hands reached for each of his forearms and held them, anchoring to them.
He leaned forward over your body while animalistically gripping those hips of yours like a mad dog and placed open mouthed kisses along your tensed jaw and parted lips.
"Mine, mi reina magnifica," A groan was ripped from his throat and filtered through your hungry mouth, your hands no longer by his forearms but slid up to his cradle his cheeks in each palm. You were close to that sudden release but yet you didn't want it to end here. Your body hummed with the nickname and brought forth a shiver throughout your body.
With a few more powerful thrusts he suddenly
stopped with eyes closed and lips parted panting.
Was he...was he done already?
Panting yourself you placed kisses around his lips, his nose and forehead while wrapping your legs tighter around his waist.
"P-please you can't stop now, not when I'm so close you jerk,"
The words left you in a breathless annoyed huff. How dare he stop in the middle of pounding your insides. Opening his eyes once again he smirked and removed his hands from your hips, he moved them up and around you sliding an arm under and around your bare waist as the other wrapped under and around your shoulders securing himself down to you. You were forced to wrap your arms around his neck.
His face was buried into the crook of your neck," Forgive me my love, you're just so tight," Without further delay he began and this time he gave you no mercy. You could hear his teeth grind by your ear while he concentrated on controlling his hips to give you that mind blowing orgasm you've been needing.
It didn't take long before you came with a sob, digging your nails into his fleshy back and toes curling from the intensity of it. Fucking out in a public space and with the man you thought was the most annoying thing on this planet who was actually very into you, made this even more mind blowing than it was.
Soon, Namor the sea king quickly whipped his cock right out of that tight embrace of your walls and spent himself on your tummy. His load shot out so far it caught your parted lips and cheek, he panted heavily by your ear trying to catch his breath.
He shuddered and slowly straightened up he ran a sandy hand through his dark locks and smirked down at you.
"I told you I'd catch you."

The song Con La Brisa is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Being a Shuri x Namor shipper I do agree the lyrics are romantic and make this ship more meaningful for us. I would also like to point out how the same lyrics also express the love Namor has for his people.
I will give my whole life
To get you out of the dark
I will break your sentence
In this collapsing world
Being the sole ruler of Talokan since his birth, he has given his entire life protecting them and will continue to do so for the rest. His people can only survive in water yet I think he still wants them to get a glimpse of how the surface world is. Situated in deep sea Talokan is full of darkness. His people don't mind and are used to it but using vibranium Namor was able to bring the sun to his people, in a way taking them away from darkness. He wants them to be free too but he can't do so since it would compromise their protection. Hence it also feels like a punishment being so isolated.
Give me a little more time
I will give my last breath
To show you the whole sky
In the clouds with you I will lie down
Throughout the movie there is unrest as the people of Talokan are threatened to be revealed to the world. This makes Namor desperate and leads him to reveal himself to Queen Ramonda and Shuri. Wakandans definitely see him as a threat and vice-versa. However he is willing to do everything in his power to protect his people. Even ready to be as ruthless as killing young girl. His council asks him to solve it quickly by just killing them, but he demands time and assures that it will be well soon.
And we snuck in with the breeze
And we sail with the wind
What beautiful intensity of your eyes
Burns hotter than fire and reflects in broken glass
I promise one day you'll open your eyes
and now I have them redder than the sky offers
When Namor takes Shuri to visit Talokan, we can see the intense beauty of it shrouded in darkness. Even in water, the people seem to be floating in the wind. The beauty of the city and how welcoming the people were to Shuri, it all is reflected in her eyes. Her eyes are now open to realization and understanding of why Namor wants to take such measures to keep Talokan hidden. He believes showing Shuri his city and his people will make her realise it, and it does.
Between the shadows, my love
You are the brightest
How beautiful, how beautiful
That's why, my love
you remind me so much of it
How beautiful, how beautiful
We snuck in with the breeze
And we sail with the wind, oh, oh
And we snuck in with the breeze
And we sail with the wind, oh, oh
Uh-uh-uh, let's go you and me, let's go you and me (Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh)
Uh-uh-uh, let's go both, let's both go (Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh)
Uh-uh-uh, let's go you and me, let's go you and me (Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh)
Uh-uh-uh, let's go both, let's both go (Eh, eh, eh, eh, eh)
The last verse explains how both the civilizations, Wakanda and Talokan are hidden in the shadows yet they are the brightest and most beautiful amongst the rest, that is the whole world. When Namor first appears, he appreciates the clean breathable air and breeze of Wakanda and acknoledges it's beauty. So does Shuri when she visits Talokan. In these two scenes each are reminded how the other side is just as beautiful as their own. "We snuck in with the breeze and we sail with the wind" shows how even if one is on land and the other in water, it reflects the way they move. Sailing through the wind and water, further implying their similarities.
The last verse I would say is Namor's invitation to Shuri to go burn the world alongside him in order to protect their worlds.
READING THE LYRICS TRANSLATION MADE ME FURTHER FALL IN LOVE WITH THE MOVIE AND SHIP THEM EVEN MORE 😭😭

My brain is running with Kermit flail in 17 different directions and so list
FIC: finished
Kay Nicté: Nashuri AU, no powers, porn with plot & feels & family dynamics; Shuri doesn't want to go to a resort on spring break; she has way too much critical, life-or-death work to do in the lab. Ch'ah Toh doesn't want to go back home to his cousin's resort on spring break; he has way too much respect for his culture to sell it out to tourists. One mezcal tasting flight later, they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Or any of their other body parts either.
<5000 words
The Pearl That I Carry in My Heart: Nashuri, Attoye, big damn post-canon fic, world building. The Elder's brows furrowed. "Am I understanding you correctly, Princess? That your suggestion for strengthening our alliance is arranged marriages between our available tribal leaders and theirs?"
Shuri smiled, a forced twisted thing. "Not quite, Elder. My suggestion for strengthening this alliance is an arranged marriage between K’uk’ulkan and me."
>100,000 words
FIC: in progress
Beautifully Created: Attoye, canon divergence AU, kidfic, world building, what do you call it when you start with smut and end with smut but the whole wide middle is angst and politics? Wakanda already knew about Talokan when Namor made his ultimatum thanks to information from Okoye. Attuma would like to know how she got that information and why the queen & princess seem to hate his guts when he's never met them before. 50% finished --read on ao3--
Kiss Me by the Fence Rails: Nashuri, AU modern day. Shuri is a brilliant engineer who just Does Not Get dating. She wants to get better at it and at sex in order to finally shoot her shot with her high school crush. She asks Namor, an equally brilliant architect, to help her out with all of that. He's her brother's business partner so he won't try anything shady, he's dated lots, and deep inside under that cranky exterior he's a good guy. Simple and easy, right? <5% finished --read on ao3--
FIC: planned (in no particular order)
When It Rains, Leave Me Alone: Attoye, companion piece to The Pearl, angst with eventual HEA but first make them hurt: Okoye, daughter of the Border, former general of the Dora Milaje, Midnight Angel, Head of Security of the Kingdom of Wakanda. She has reached the highest heights as well as the lowest lows possible in her career. W'Kabi, who she had once thought of as the other half of her heart, has chosen exile over their marriage and admission of treason. Her undeniable attraction to General Attuma could add further fractures in the already tenuous Talokan-Wakanda summit. All the while, she also needs to protect Wakanda's people, especially Princess Shuri, who seems to be determined to break her own heart.
Transcendence to Endure: Nashuri, prequel within a sequel to The Pearl, mildly angsty babyfic for all, history of Talokan world building, TW: pregnancy/delivery trauma. Péepen Xail Almehen of Xel-há and Yzniquanto of the Iréchikwa Tzintzuntzani navigate a world slowly burning from the invasion of the Conquistadores. Shuri kaRamonda, Black Panther of Wakanda, and Ch'ah Toh Almehen, K'uk'ulkan of Talokan, navigate eleven years of marriage.
Wholly, Thoroughly, Completely, Drowning: Nashuri, Attoye, AU Canon divergence. Talokan & Wakanda have always known about each other. When T'Challa got sick, Shuri asks for Namor's help. In return, he wants her to stay in Talokan for a year and help undo the damage he perceives T'Challa made when he opened up Wakanda.
Para Siempre: Attoye, AU modern day, no powers. Megapop star, Okoye, is burnt out from back to back to back touring plus a very public divorce from hip-hop star, W'Kabi. One of her longtime security personnel, Attuma, suggests decompressing at his family's little hotel-resort in the Yucatan during the off-season. Please stop, I don't have time for all this help
Untitled Bridgerton-style Black Panther AU: Attoye, Nashuri, AU no-colonisation alternate history, alternate powers. In an alternate history 1800-ish, Princess Shuri of Wakanda, of the Transafrican Alliance travels to Talokan of the League of the Mayapan in order to cement their alliance against the European powers encroaching on both their lands. For protection, she and some of her entourage disguise themselves as shipmates and servants while General Okoye and some of the kingsguards dress as tribal leaders. K'uk'ulkan, halach uinik of Talokan and de facto leader of the League, asks his highest ranking nobles to look for possible spouses among the visiting Wakandans to tie their kingdoms by blood as well as treaty. Lord Attuma, nacom and favoured cousin of the K'uk'ulkan, agrees to court Princess Shuri. But the woman he escorts off the pier is not the princess. And the real princess has her own agenda on this diplomatic visit that promises to wreck all the Feathered Serpent's plans.
Untitled Single Dad Namor + Dr Shuri: based on a fanart by @milkfromcats, Nashuri, AU X-Men style mutants, TW: refugee experience. Namor has lost almost everything in Mutant Purges and the trek to get safely to Wakanda. The most important thing in his life now is taking care of his sisters' children, Namora and Attuma. But he has no idea what to do with kids, nevermind traumatised orphans. Shuri is a brilliant doctor and privileged to have the funds to volunteer her time with the influx of newcomers to Wakanda. Every one of them is wonderful but she has a soft spot for Attuma and Namora, who often visit with lopsided braids and sugar-stained tops, tugging their exhausted father along. His love for them tempers the tragedy etched in his face and she can't stop wanting to ease his exhaustion.
Untitled Sequel to Beautifully Created: But I can't explain it yet because spoiler
Untitled Nakia Time Travel Fic: At the moment Talokan overwhelms the Sea Leopard, with the outcome of the battle between Shuri and Namor to be determined, Nakia finds herself thrown overboard. But instead of drowning, she wakes up several weeks in the past, to the morning Queen Ramonda asks her to find her only living child, kidnapped by an unknown hostile force.
Untitled Bucky/Sarah: Something Something feral WinterBucky finds Sarah somewhere between CATWS and Civil War.
NONFIC
School: stop writing, idiot, it's finals
Scholarship/bursary applications: n/a for now
Garden: n/a plants are asleep
Work: streamline lab manual

Part of my world.
Pairing: Namor/K’ul’ku’kan x reader
Summary; you couldn't help it, truly! You grow up loving Disney movies and as a kid, you'd randomly sing their songs. So sometimes it slips.
A/n: enjoy!
Tumblr media
You groaned in annoyance as you searched for your lover, he said he would be busy but you missed him it wasn't easy to be a lover to a king that ruled over a kingdom under the ocean. You made it to your fifth searching spot; the throne room, of course, nothing was there, but as you were turning around, in the corner of your eye sets on Namor's spear beside his throne. A thought, an impulse came to you and before you think about it more you had already grabbed it "Let's get down to business, to defeat the huns. Did they send me daughters when I asked for sons?" you sang, carefully spinning the spear around."You're the saddest bunch I ever met—oh noo! how long have you been there?!" you turned around and yelled, curling into yourself as Namor stood there smirking
"Enough." you want to die so bad.
......
You were so bored as you swam with Namora and Attama to talocan, having given orders to bring you safely to Namor. You paused, seeing a rock close by but far enough not to be seen so easily by a beach like always you had to, looking back at the two Generals that continued swimming 'fuck it' you thought, you quickly made it to the rock and peaked over it, it looked
you pushed yourself up slowly "I don't know when I don't know how but I know something's starting right now!" Namora sighed and nudged Attama once your singing reached her ears "watch and you'll see..someday I'll be..part of your world!" "In ko'olelo', K'a'abet k bin. K ajawo' a pa'ta'al ka ma' je'el u páajtal k mantener tu pa'atik. (My lady, we must go. Our king waits for you and we can't keep him waiting.)" Namora said her head popping out of the water, voice calm but even then you could she was annoyed.
"right coming!"
-----
You loved moments like this, where it was just you and Namor, just flying in the night sky where no one could bother you and your responsibilities fell to the earthy ground. Namor sometimes flew you around when you couldn't sleep and it was one of those times, your head lay on his chest, his heartbeat in your ear as he flies at a slow pace, and the urge hit you once again. "A whole new world, a dazzling place I never knew but when I'm up here it's crystal clear that now I'm in a whole new with you~" you sang tiredly as sleep overcame you, the thing you heard was a soft chuckle and "Ku weenel ma'alob in princesa (Sleep well, my princess)"
---------
It was your favorite of nights, movie night with Namor! You showed him all your favorite Disney movies like the Disney crackhead you knew you were, tonight was Pocahontas, who was ultimately one of your favorite Disney princesses besides well Ariel. Namor sat on your cushy small L-shaped couch in the living room as you moved around your kitchen. The lights were off in the living room the only thing that illuminated the room beside the kitchen was the flat-screen TV light, the Pocahontas movie main option showed on it, you came out of the said kitchen with a large bowel of popcorn and drinks, you almost busted out laughing as your large handsome boyfriend particularly dwarfed the (f/c) couch "Here." you handed him your stuff with a smile once he had it in his hands you grabbed the blankets that sat on the spine of your cushy sitting area and the remote, sat beside him and started the movie with an excited giggle. Namor watched the film with little interest but if this made you happy he'd do it, he'd burn the world for you, "Ooo my favorite part!" you straightened up as colors of the wind began "You think I'm an ignorant savage, And you've been so many places I guess it might be so but still I can not see if the savage one is me. How can there be so much that you don't know? You don't know" you smiled singing along, Namor watch as you sang, not taking yourself seriously, in his five hundred years of living did he think he would fall in love with a surfaces dweller, especially one so...interesting, but you made him feel human, not like he had to as strong as a god, he could just be him around you and that's why he loved you " You can own the Earth and still. All you'll own is Earth until. You can paint with all the colors of the wind~" you finished with a giggle before pulling Namor into a kiss just as the couple in the kissed as well.
-------
You buzzed with excitement as Namor flew to his surprise date with your eyes closed, you could feel yourself lowering to the ground as his feet landed "Open." he whispered in your ear, when you did you gasped there around you were fairy lights on the sand in the shape of a large circle and a speaker "It's...so..I don't have words." you said as he sat you down "you don't have to say anything as well long as I have this dance?" he said with a smug smirk and his hand out for you. He pulled you close to his chest as a familiar song from your childhood displayed.
'I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream
I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam
And I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem
But if I know you, I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream'
You guys twisted and turned to the music but to your surprise, Namor wrapped his arm around your waist and began to fly slowly up into the sky not far from the earthy sand "But if know you, I know you what you'll do. You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream." he gently serenades you, which left you gapping at his voice, he sang so beautifully "Marry me." Namor said once the song ended and you were back on Earth "Yes!" you kissed him passionately.
------
Your son swims into your husband's throne room and traces his father's throne, he looked back to make sure nobody was there " I'm going to be a mighty king So enemies beware. I'm gonna be the main event like no King was before! Oh just can't wait to be king!" he sang flexing his non existence muscles and set on the impressive throne.
Just as he looked up he screamed seeing you there smiling, holding in your laughter "How long have you been there?" your 13-year-old son asked certainly embarrassed "Enough." you couldn't wait to tell Namor.

Slippery Time
I've been thinking about Wakanda Forever and specifically Shuri's (and Riri's) time in Talokan and how long they must've been in there... and man I have no idea. The scenes we get of her down there seem like it's a really packed day. Namor tells her his backstory, they go tour Talokan proper, then they have a discussion about burning the world, and then he's called away to talk to Ramonda. An eventful few hours.
Buuuuut compare that to what's going on top-side. Ramonda travels to Haïti, finds Nakia, convinces her to find where Talokan is, Nakia flies to Mexico, manages to track down a woman who once saw Namor, then finds the temple that has an entrance to Talokan... and that feels like a good few days. The distance between Haïti and Wakanda (or at least, where Wakanda supposedly is, at the juncture of Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda) is about 7,000 miles, so even if the Wakandan ships can go the speed of sound (767 mph) that's a good few hours alone. Then Nakia has to do detective work to track down rumors of Namor and then the woman, and I have to assume that would take at least a day or two.
To be clear, the slippery nature of time isn't a criticism I have of the movie. Most movies and TV have moments of slippery time, like countdowns that last way longer than they should. Hell, most are very vague as to how long the events they cover take.
The point I am trying to get to is that I think we were originally going to get a lot more scenes down in Talokan. Of what I have no idea (I mean... I like to imagine it's a lot more Namor & Shuri interaction). If there was and it got cut, I think it was probably because the movie was so long and they couldn't get rid of studio-mandated stuff so they pared down the Talokan stuff until it was as short as it could be while still being effective.
Anyway, the real point I'm trying to get to is that you could absolutely headcanon/write/draw a whole bunch of missing moments between Shuri and Namor in Talokan.

Yes, Namor is:
~480 years older than Shuri
Threatened to kill her
Drowned her mom
Waged war on Wakanda
Is a megalomaniacal sociopath
They nearly beat each other to death
But have you considered:
He’s hot
In all realness though, I wasn’t the only one to get ~vibes~ right?? Like that night by the water, he heard her say she’ll burn the world, and that stuck with him. Maybe he saw a kindred spirit in her, and that’s why he trusted her enough to show her Talokan (the first time an outsider has ever been there!!!). He told her his whole tragic backstory, including that his villain name means “man without love.” (The poetry!! The gothic romance!!!!) He gave her something of enormous sentimental value to him, his mother’s 500-year-old bracelet, and it was this bracelet that helped Shuri revive the heart-shaped flowers and unlock her powers. He genuinely looked betrayed when Shuri escaped. And in the final scene, he’s literally painting him and Shuri locked in combat in loving detail, and his ~evil villain speech~ was the equivalent of saying “I know she’ll come back to me, and then it’ll be me and her against the world…”
Like I know Namor in the movie is mostly driven by politics and power plays but I feel like there’s so much untapped romantic potential here as well?? Like the writers thought about it and skirted the line but ultimately decided not to go for it, because it would be…really toxic lmao, with the plot being what it is. I was still disappointed that they didn’t have more one-on-one interactions though. I would’ve liked to see them try to negotiate with each other a little more.
But that’s what fanfic is for!!

• Wakanda forever, Líik'ik Talokan and Glory to Ukraine •
[ ukrainian girl's perspective of the latest mcu movie ]
Tumblr media
I watched [ Black Panter: Wakanda forever ] recently, and I can clearly tell - it's gonna be my favorite movie of the long long time. It's an amazing, really good action movie, one of the most epic I've seen. I loved it so much to see beautiful cultures, and all honor to Chadwick Boseman's memory made me very emotional every time. Like those silent moments whole audience was silent too, almost holding their breath.
Tumblr media
And the most important for me was character of Namor, his arc and whole point about colonization. This period of time, colonization of America and erasing cultures hurted me so deep as an autistic child with history as an interest, and now I can relate so much with all this stories as an adult woman of the nation fighting for independence [ and survival basically ].
In our National Day of Dignity and Freedom want to talk with you about it. Why it is so important for me personally, and maybe for many conscious people of our nation as well.
Not for trying to compare who suffered more through the history. It never was, and never will be my goal, this would be awful thing to do. But to share history of my people and explain why this movie and character affected me so much.
For short - though Namor despites human kind in general I hope he might be pleased to see our "let's burn colonizators to the ground" resistance after hundreds of years of oppression, when old 'mighty' Europe only saying they're conserned and "let's just calm down and talk everybody". Heaven knows we tried everything, we tried to talk so many times. Russians do not want to talk with us - they want to make us assimilated part of their country, or they want us dead. And we just want to be left alone and live our lives.
For a bit longer story - just look at this monstrosity of a country. Is this normal for country to be THAT enormously big?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can say: - Maybe. And I will say: - Only if all subjects having equal rights, impact and independence inside the union.
But things never in the history of russian expansion was like that,  and im going explain it, and hope you will get it why  I have used word "colonizators" earlier.
I really wanted to write a whole proper article or essay about this, but I'm without electricity for most of the time lately. "Thanks" to russian missiles damaging our power plants. And it become really hard for me to engage in deeper research, to translate and put in here sources that wasn't originally in english.
So instead it will be more little history lesson with knowledge from my head, and little documentaries from other intelligent people, which I recommend you to watch to illustrate my point. Videos was made by ukrainan creators, so yu can trust them, english subs that can be turned manually if you open them on YouTube, I'm still not sure how this works here.
I'll mostly use history of my country as an example since i know it better, I feel I have no right to talk about other nations at their behalf.
So Muskovy [ USSSR and modern Russia ] is like adopted offspring of the Golden Horde.
Tumblr media
Golden Horde expanfion, you can spot something similar already
It expands only to consume resources, erasing native people of that lands. Do you think small swampy peace of land it originally was had all that gas, oil and wood they're bragging about nowadays?
Do you think there wasn't native people in that land who was exterminated, exiled or assimilated so russians can use resources this nation had? They didn't even had a clear access to big water.
Muskovy was a small part of Kyevan Rus' on a distant swampy land, but it wanted more influence in the world, a clear access to the big water - Black Sea that we had, since they didn't have it and felt like they missing up whole worldwide trading and invasive wars party.
To do so they tried to get all the land for themselves. Kyevan Rus' then was successful and strong country of its time but had an internal issues [ muskovy as one of them ] and was struggling with every neighbor wanted to get a part of its territory.
Interesting story for another time, let's focuse on a russian part of it.
So Muskovy put their eyes on not only territories of modern Crimea, wich was their own country that days  - Crimean Khanat, but all modern Odesa-Mykolaiv-Kherson-Mariupol lands. But they can't get there easily, they need to concuer all the land, wich is not bad itself as it has a lot of coal, forest ant great agricultural potential.
But my people don't wanted to give it up so easily, wanting our territories back, wanting a safespace for our culture and history, so fighted with their lifes. This leads to more than 300 years of  [ - give me your land! - no. ] and after becoming an Empire strong enough to overpower us [ - give us our independence back! - no. ] cycles of merciless wars.
And than Russian Empire coming up with a time proved strategy. I don't know did they make it by themselves or sneaked a peak of it by older empire-sisters but they're using it til now,  evolving from Russian Empire to USSR to Russian federation like some wicked Pokémon.
And here's coming the interesting part with the videos I prepared for you,  grab some snacks and let's go.
The first one is about how russia tried to erase our language
youtube
This one about them them trying to erase our culture and replace it with a fucking joke.
youtube
And the last one is about creating an image of our people as angry, stupid and degraded, with THEM as superior nation above us, mostly in our heads.
youtube
They knew what they were doing and did that on purpose. They wanted make us ashamed of our culture, to separated us from who we are and mash into a faceless "brotherhood nations" with recourses to use.
Unfortunately - it worked, and worked very well as whole nation has an inferiority complex now, simpy denying ourselves. Feeling like its better to be associated with them, to blend in what they are calling culture, than discover our own one, that was appropriated, stolen or forgotten for generations, almost fighting for not to be lost forever.
So-called "big brother of ours" enslaved our people with serfdom, suppressin our attempts to embrace our heritage, to gain independence, causing artificial hunger Holodomor in 1932-33 also known as Terror-famine in Ukraine, or by repressions like Executed Renaissance. Our culture is still alive and kicking, but you can see there was not big room for blooming.
Those who they couldn't execute - they calling heritage of their own. For example Treasure Island animation, dr. Livesey from it internet loved so much not so long ago - it's actually ukrainian made.
They simply called russain everyone talented or famous from so-called union. They made sure it's almost impossible for you to pursue your ambitions as a scientist, artist or musician anywhere but Russia, so if you work in Russia you will be seen as and caled russian, no matter where you from.
No matter wich culture certain traditional attires [ vyshivanka or papakha ] dish [ borsh or chebureki ] or other heritage  like giorgian dance woman lezghinka russians calling their beryozka now, came from - it all claimed by them as their general [ stolen ] russian culture.
They did it not only to us. I told I wouldn't be speaking of other nations but just take a look what was done to Crimean tatars.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you thought I made up my point about them wanting access to the sea VERY BAD
You may search on YouTube or TikTok how russians treating their neighbor "former soviet union" countries [ like Republic of Kazakhstan or Georgia ] when visiting them.
Like "you should be grateful we bring civilization to your land" and "your native name is to hard for me to pronounce, I'll just call you Masha, Natasha, Ivan etc." Ask people of other Caucasian regiongs about how they was and still treated till now, ask belorusians about their language [ spoiler - it is dying ].
Its so unfair, that now we are screaming at the top of our lungs to be heard, for people to see us the nations of our own, to just let us be and cherish our culture.
But our voices are suppressed by voices of our oppressors telling us to calm down and listen to them since they know the better way for us to live and solve problems THEY CAUSED. With no regrets or reflexia.
And world prefers to listen to them, praising them, insted of listen to people who was offended, if not to say violated, by them. Not only us, many other nations,.
After all i said this story may sound familiar to black people, indigenous people of America, people of other colonized countrie - because IT IS.
Or you may say to me:
- I'ts just white's business, mind it on your own.
Ok, though its not very correct statement, but I'll take it for now. Let me show you this video, then - Russia is literally colonizing African countries right now for their woods. They won't stop. They simply don't want to, still thinking imperial way.
youtube
             •••• ••••   •••• ••••   •••• ••••
Thank you for reading all of this to the end.
My point here was not to make this movie and other people's trauma about my people, to take it away from you. This is YOUR history and YOUR experience.
I'm writing this not to impose ourself in your place, not to say that we can completely 100% clearly understand what are you feeling. I just wanted to share what are going through, to show why this movie in general and Namor in particular is so important and precious to me as.
I feel like he was right all along, just like us wanting nothing other than protect his land and people. Time is now for Ukraine and someone has to end this monster, burn those russian world | peace* they bringing everywhere they go, and we'll not hasitate.
* in russian there's one world for this term, basically it means "coercion some country to peace by violence and propaganda for expantion through the world"
I think it's really important to point some serious issues in movies like that. You may not like the movie, or actors or else, I respect that, but it's social commentary, it's impact you can't overestimate.
I believe some nations should be pointed at this on and on and on like "yes, YOUR nation did it. Yes. Yes it did. It's part of your history and responsibility is not going anywhere. Your way of thinking now is a part of the problem! Take it, rethink it and work it out,  like a mature nation should".
I believe that we can overcome this trauma, educate people [ though some of them may use the Clockwork orange therapy instead ], and in some time make world a better place without all this shit.
I've seen [ Wakanda forever ] two times at theaters already and I'm planning to go for it again. I want it to make a good income, I want corporations see at least financial benefit of educating people, of making an empathy gap smaller.
I want them to seek profit in making a good culture and history representation, to give voice for this people to talk to a wider group of people - its freaking Marvel, after all. To educate and unite those who suffering with generational and colonial trauma.
For example after "Encanto" someone might catch themselves wondering - who was those people that attacked Abuelas village and why would they do that?
Like "The Woman King" left me shaken . Movie may not be 100% historically accurate, as I'm aware, but it was good as the work of art, it showed culture, tradition, and the tragedy. It really drove me to this culture, I hope many people as well wanted to know more, and more.
Simple wandering who K'uk'ulkan may originally be, what a meaning his figure may originally have, may lead people to more serious research. To study, to respect and adore as this cultures in the way they deserve to. Like my childish adoration is booming and blooming now, bringing me so much joy, im eager to learn and resurch. I just hope books from my childhood aren't burned to ashes in occupied town where I left them.
And I'm only waiting for my salary to try to buy some books end explore world of Black Panter more. Same for comics in general - I was torn from pop-culture growing up, trying regaining this loss in past few years, taking friendly recommendations here, indigenous, POC or queer stories\creators is a priority.
I'm open for discussion, since my mind is a mess after this movie. I have so many thoughts, I love it - the movie and thinking thoughts -  very much.
We can also discuss how amazing it is to see celebration of any other than white european cultures on the big screen, how beautiful it is to see people of color on the leading roles, and black people in position of power through the plot. To show them as good and proud people, who know their worth, and will not tolerate any disrespect towards them. [ and how pleasing it is to see so pissed off people those empathy ends when starts conversation about the minority they can't associate themselves with. It's not about or for you, wolrd is changing, adjust a little, baby boy ]
We can discuss the messages from Black Panter movies that someone with the real power do not use it to cause harm, but the weak ones always seeking power to abuse the others. The message about loss and grief. Like now I have deeper understanding of our national motto "heroes never die".
Or we can share our love to Namor. As my sister told me after the movie - despite our shared thalassophobia we'd love be one of Talokan people. To have place then you'll be safe and secure, to have fatherly caring figure of K'uk'ulkan that always by your side protecting you, making sure that all will be well. Aqua papi? Aqua papa, por favor, gracias. And please - his little wooden house - isn't it adorable? Does his mother inspired him to make it? Does that mean his heart still have some little room for something from the surface? I don't need sleep, I need answers.
You can offer your theme to talk about, but if you coming to start some rude shit here - I'll not hesitate to block you immediately. Same goes for those who didn't like the movie as much as I did, I respect that, just chill out and pass by.
For the ones who read this to the very end - exclusive announcement. On my art acc I'll definitely draw my beloved feather serpent god, not once nor twice, since now it's a comfort character of mine and im going to embrace my urge for historicall, cultural and mythological studies as much as i can. But with some time pass. I have the ideas, now I need to gain some stability, mental at least. I'd love to share love for him with you, feel free to be my guest.

Crashing Waves // Chapter 8 // Namor
Tumblr media
Pairing: Namor x POC Reader
Warning: Spoilers // Mentions of Violence
Chapter 7 // Chapter 9
Tumblr media
// Shuri POV //
"My people have been thriving. Away from the surface world. You want to protect vibranium from them. But they came too close this time." Namor explained after showing me the underwater kingdom I know now as Talokan. It was beautiful. The people minding their own business without a care in the world. I remember when Wakanda used to be that way.
"You said it yourself princess. You want to burn the world. With our nation's together we can do just that." He said and I felt my mind start to race. "I have to kill the scientist. To ensure this doesn't happen again."
"You don't have to do that. Let her stay in Wakanda. I'll stay instead. I'd love to learn more about Talokan." I said to him and a small smile made its way to his lips.
"The professor said you were one to out yourself in place of others." He mumbled and my head perked up at the mention of Y/N.
"You have to let her go. She hasn't done anything." I muttered and he remained still.
"She was on that ship. With the people who tried to steal the vibranium. She's just as responsible. I should've killed her." He stated and rage filled my entire being. She's given up so much for my family.
"I won't allow that." I said in a flat tone and his eyes met mine. He seemed as if he was searching for something until he found it.
"And why is that?" He stood before slowly walking towards me but I stood my ground.
"She is the closest thing I have to a best friend. If I had known you had taken her, I would've been down here a lot sooner. Let them go. And I'll stay." I pushed and he looked down at his feet.
"I cannot allow either of them to leave princess. I have already made up my mind."
"She's just a kid." I said softly, trying to get him to see how morally wrong it was.
"A kid who not only put my people in danger, but wakanda as well. I don't understand why you or the professor is protecting her. Someone you don't even know." He questioned and I crossed my hands behind my back.
"Sometimes it is better to give someone a second chance." I said and his expression hardened. "Both Y/N and myself know that very well. She would say the same."
"You speak very highly of her princess." He said as one of his people entered the hut. They spoke in their mother tongue and he scoffed. "Take the princess back to the scientists. I need to speak with the professor." The guard walked up and ushered me out as we walked back to where the two are kept.
// End of Shuri POV //
"We'll be okay. She'll come up with something." You told her as you put an arm on her shoulder, pulling her in for comfort.
"If I had known this is where I'd end up I wouldn't have made that dumbass machine. To hell what the professor says." Riri scoffed and you couldn't help but nod your head. You know what it's like being in her position.
"I feel you. Mine used to tell me I wouldn't get anywhere. Now look at me. A college professor who gets kidnapped for her attachment to Wakanda. Guess he was right." You couldn't help but let out a sigh as you scanned around the area. Eyes flickering from where Shuri disappeared over to the ones standing guard
"That why you down here?" She asked and you shrugged.
"Honestly, I don't have another reason. They found out I had ties with Wakanda. He wants to protect vibranium and form an alliance with Wakanda. It's simple really. They'll probably off me when this is all over." You stated and the girl let a shiver run down her spine.
"I'm sure Shuri wouldn't let that happen. She cares about you too much. I saw the way you hugged each other. You two-" she trailed off and you felt your cheeks burn as you caught what she was hinting at.
"What? Oh no. She's like a sister to me. When her brother was still alive they let me live in the palace with them." I told her and she nodded. "She was the first person to give me a chance after the whole I'm fighting with the guy who wants to take over Wakanda thing. That was a whole shit show fiasco."
"You mean this isn't the first time Wakanda has dealt with something like this?"
"No. I wasn't exactly always on good terms with Wakanda. I was going to steal some things from this antique place. Needed the extra money. Then this guy turned up and said he could use my expertise. One of his pals was Wakandan. But he didn't know that until said pal killed him." I said and Riri's curious eyes urged me to go on.
"Instead of killing me he brought me with him. He overthrew T'Challa and became king. Instead of protecting vibranium he wanted to show it off to the world. Share what Wakanda worked so hard to keep from the public eye. T'Challa came back and the fight started. I fought alongside Killmonger until he died. But during that fight Shuri refused to fight me. She said I was just scared and alone. She was right." You played with the bracelet on your wrist, as you did when uneasy. "She asked her mother to take me in. She didn't have to agree but she did. The queen didn't see a threat. She saw a young girl who didn't know where to go. Who to go to. I owe them everything."
"So you two never felt anything for each other? I'm telling you I know when two people got a thing for each other. I live on a college campus." She asked and you opened your mouth to speak but nothing would leave you. You felt something tug on your heart, a familiar uneasiness falling over you.
"We agreed to keep our feelings locked away. Too much was happening at once and we couldn't-. Shouldn't act on our emotions." You told her as the sound of approaching footsteps caught your attention. You saw Shuri being escorted back and you couldn't stop yourself from standing. You looked her over and when your eyes found hers she nodded. The silent question of are you okay pouring from your expression.
"K'uk'ulkan wishes to speak with you professor." Namora told me and you looked between her and Shuri. The princess squeezed your hand before you followed the warrior to where Namor stayed. He sat with his eyes on a mural he was currently painting and turned to meet your gaze as Namora left the room. No doubt she was on the other side listening in, in case anything went down.
"Are you letting them go?" You asked and he chuckled.
"The princess actually wants the opposite." He told me and you were taken aback by the sudden statement.
"What are you on about?"
"She's fighting for you and the scientist to be let free. All while she stays down here." He told you and you balled your fists.
"No. Absolutely not. They should be let go and I'll stay." You quickly stated and he stood to his full height. You stood your ground as he slowly approached you. Like a predator zeroing in on its prey.
"Who knew the college professor would turn into the princess' lover. Maybe you can convince her to join me." He said in a low voice and you felt your cheeks heat up.
"She is not my lover. She's-"
"Important to you? Someone special you hold close to you?" He asked and you could swear you saw a hint of sadness clouding his eyes. Before you could ask what he meant his head snapped behind him. "Someone is calling to me. From Wakanda."
"There can be another way to go about this. Yes the world up there sucks ass but burning it down? What good does that do?" You asked and he turned to the table.
"You have to see this from my point of view."
"I'm trying. But you're making this difficult. I'm not one for killing college kids. This isn't some slasher movie." You said and he grabbed your chin, making you look him in the eyes.
"You don't want me to be difficult little one."

How would you describe Jim Hammond's character? Please and thank you.
JIM!!! I love Jim very much, and thank you for letting me wax poetic about his character. I love so many things about the character but to describe him I would say that the surface level is not who the character is. Many other characters and fans look at Jim like he's the nice guy, he's chill and laid back but that's only because he's often in the presence of Namor who anyone would look very calm next to, lol.
So I often feel there's two eras of Jim's character, the Golden Age/Invaders Jim who is much more fiery and cheeky. He's more hotheaded and I feel a lot of it ties into him being very new to the world so it hasn't worn him down yet and he's very curious during this era, like a puppy who can set things on fire. However the second era of Jim's character has a more somber air to him, like he's been through A LOT, he's been through so much. Being deactivated and reactivated and killed and brought back quite a few times that by the time we get to what is my favorite times of Jim (The Torch/Secret Avengers/All New Invaders) he is just "Old Man" vibes, like all he wants is to pet his cats and live a good life but he can't stay away from super heroics.
Jim is a good man with a good heart but he's often lost in his own thoughts about the world, his place in it, and what it means to be human. It's why Marvel has Frankenstein's Monster or Pinocchio references to Jim because he is looking for his soul or wants to be a real human. Jim's character arc is often tied to his humanity and whether or not he has a soul or is human. It's also tied to the fact he self scarifies himself to save the world or his friends.
Jim is a good man but also he won't hesitate to do something like burn Hitler to death, or threaten to give someone cancer because they killed his friend. So like I said, the surface of easy smiles, quiet, good guy Jim doesn't show his whole character, and because Jim was programmed to absorb behaviors and knowledge from the people around him and I feel a lot of his good cheer comes from his son, Toro. WHO I SHOULD MENTION IS A MATCHED SET, YOU DO NOT SEPARATE, BRING BACK TORO TO JIM MARVELLLL!!! I seriously LOVE Jim and Toro being a family and need more of it. But yeah getting back to Jim, like most times his bastardy cheeky side comes out when he's around Namor.
Namor says Jim brings out the best in him but I feel the opposite is also true, that Namor brings out the asshole side of Jim, like he's all nice to other people but Namor can handle his real personalty and it's just very interesting to me to see that.
So what I feel most of Marvel gets wrong about Jim is that they keep calling him an Android but imo Jim isn't just your run of the mill Android, and I wish Marvel would go back to calling him The Synthetic Man, again because it's much more interesting than lumping Jim in with a bunch of other androids. That also includes ditching the whole "robot insides" they often do, and make up something more interesting for the Horton Cells.
Ok, because this is getting long, let me wrap up, because otherwise I would go on. lol.
I see Jim's character as a still pool of water, where you think you know everything but it's much deeper than you would think and it's just fascinating to me because usually characters who are associated with fire have this trope of being too hotheaded and impulsive but Jim is an old man, a dad, and grandfather type to all the kids (and cats) he manages to collect.
And if you haven't read it then PLEASE read Marvel (2020) #6 because it's so sad and I love it very much. Also one last thing, this is my favorite art of Jim! Art by Mukesh Singh

For Namor, “meeting Shuri for the first time” had been something new and familiar at the same time, a whisper in his ear, a caress on his cheek, a smile in his eyes, a tear on your lips and a siren song to your mind, a melody you may never forget.
That night she couldn't help but give the Princess one last look with a questioning smile, even though she had threatened her country, her mother and herself, something in her had caught her attention, and she had to make her He would notice, he had to, his voice moments before wanting to eliminate the pain, burn the world, the whole world, and if he could, he would give him the earth in ashes.
He stayed under the water minutes after saying what he needed, trying to hear more of her voice, jovial, full of curiosity and with a kind tone, as they both moved away from the river bank. < /p>
He had spent the days afterward writing and between the moments in solitude from him some attempt to draw his gaze full of jubilee and astonishment from their first meeting.
He would easily spend a couple of hours, working on her eyes, eyelashes, capturing her half-open gaze, her cheeks and exhausted lips, what features she would have if she knew he was drawing her, her curls were still a problem for him, they were fluttering and of so many different ways No one in Talokan had curls like hers, so she could see them again and know how to immortalize them.
One night Attuma came to his cabin informing that Princess Shuri of Wakanda was in his cave system, the first thing he did, so much so that it impressed Attuma and Namora who he was watching from a corner of the room .
He first asked about her state of well-being and inexplicably annoyance and anger settled in him, when they told him that he was unconscious, it was evident, a sure way to prevent the young Princess from knowing the way to her Kingdom, but still Knowing that she was in that state bothered him, he decided to go see her, noticing that both young women were in one of the small caves.
—Did she decide to come herself? —Namor mentioned when his gaze settled on where the Princess was resting. P>
—Si K'uk'ulkan, did not allow us to take the scientist, instead, he requested an audience. Attuma replied firmly.
Something else arose in him, looking at the peaceful face of the Princess, he approached a little and extended his hand to one of her curls to evaluate the texture of them and noticing in the face of the young woman the details that he might have forgotten
He brushed his knuckles over the princess's cheek, outlining her face, finally removing her hand when she in her dream moved slightly from her place, and was complaining perhaps because of a bad dream.
—As long as the Princess is in my care, nothing and no one will harm her, she will only see the glory of Talokan and I expect equal respect... She is royalty, let's show her how Talokan treats her guests. —His voice was immaculate, solemn as a promise to the wind, which was answered with the sound of the waves of the sea. P>
He gave his warriors a steady look, all nodding and giving the typical Talokanil gesture. Namor directed his gaze to the cave, approaching the stone walls, brushing his fingers along the wet and slippery walls, with plants belonging to his Kingdom growing through the cracks generating an unparalleled shine, it was one of the best caves that could have been. kept to the surprise of having any guests from the surface, but not fit for royalty, not for a Princess, not for Shuri...
—Take them to the upper underwater cave, I won't let a guest see the first thing —A Princess really wanted to say —. Be the darkness of a cave.
With her order, everyone began to move to move the two young women, she told the person who will move the princess to be extremely careful.
He couldn't afford to look stranger than he was, though he clenched his hands together to stave off his impulse to he want to carry the young Princess upstairs himself, hold her close, as he watched the young man. Talokanil guard who lifted the princess around her with his arms.
He felt the slight tingle in his fingertips once he lightly brushed the young Princess's hair as he passed close to him, seeing how everyone left the cave and he took one last look for the moment at the young woman's complexion that was moving away.
—When Princess Shuri wakes up, they will notify me as soon as possible... In the meantime, I want a guard to remain vigilant, for safety... —"For the Princess, I promised that nothing would happen to her" —. He once mentioned that both young women were installed in the new underwater room, inside the floor of their rooms, the most spacious, the caves with the most bioluminescence and closest to the surface air, to the sky that his people dream of and yearn for.
"And Namora…" he sighed, turning to look at his cousin.
"Yes K'uk'ulkan," he responded instantly.
—Take off your armor, they are not invaders but guests, I hope you are an exemplary hostess. —I indicate his relative. P>
—As orders —Namora frowned, surprised again by the order her King gave her... During the last few days she had been behaving strangely, during the night watch of the previous days she heard him dive into the ocean and then return with a container full of jade stones and oysters, everything had been very strange.
And it had all started since he had met the Queen and Princess of Wakanda days ago.
She knew something was strange since after their conversation she remained for a few seconds looking at the surface mirror, she did not understand at that moment what was happening, but now she could begin to string together the answers, stealthily noticing her actions , their expressions and their small gestures, something inside him felt something towards the Princess of the Surface.
The minutes or even hours that he was listening cautiously and a sense of waiting, nervousness, a strange feeling.
To clear his mind, he went into one of the rooms that he had where he kept some treasures that he had been collecting for years, jewelry, fabrics, pieces of ships, where in between he had a dressing mold, old from the time of exploration of the world, kept airtight and rarely used.
A little secret just for him, his warriors very few of him have seen his work, but he somehow knew it was going to be used and kept it away from prying eyes.
—K'uk'ulkan… —The voice of his cousin Namora carried through the entrance, where she stood outside his study.
—Enter Namora…
Namora's gaze rested on each place in the room, taking and placing her fingers on the tables, taking with curiosity and attention from a container a pair of pearls where the corresponding oysters were next to them, it had been years since Namora had not I saw him opening those mollusks and less during the hours where he was usually working.
—K'uk'ulkan if he allows me to speak... You've been acting strange, for a few days... Ever since you met the Wakandan princess and the Queen.
Namor brought his hands closer to the fabric he was hanging, fine and smooth, a pearly white color, a smooth and soft cut of the traditional Talokanil dress, embroidered at the edges with gold and vibranium threads.
He listened to Namora talk, she was confident enough to talk to him about things that no one else dared to talk to him about.
"My child, I just want to show the best of us…" diplomatic response, made with a tone that prevented her from wanting to ask any further questions.
The face of his relative indicated that his words were not very credible, she looked suspiciously at the cloth and the jewelry that he kept.
—Do you plan to give it to him? Something made by K'uk'ulkan himself should be cared for by foreign hands. —I respect her.
—An offering to a princess is nothing more than a gift of good friendship. —He answered calmly. P>
—If K'uk'ulkan says so, I shouldn't think it's wrong. —He answered with little confidence. P>
She knew him, he raised her from a child, her kinsman, her God, her King, she knew every feature of him, how he waved his hands doubtfully, trying to choose the stones he would use, how he frowned in denial of her. some pieces and with others, his gaze was lost for a few seconds.
But she did not want to judge him, when she herself saw how she behaved, something fleeting would be, a simple distraction, something new for a change.
"Soon it will pass" was what Namora thought, to walk away slowly after saying goodbye to her God-King. Standing on the outskirts of the room in silence, but not missing a full view of Namor, trying to read his face, thoughts, gestures and movements, wanting to see in them an answer that everything would be fleeting, that he would soon forget about the Princess, that would nullify the Shine that he had in his eyes when he looked at the young woman.
Time was eternal to K'uk'ulkan, but the Princess's time was a mere breath in her King's life, one she did not want to be more important than it should be.
Namor would take his two most recent creations from his tables, since he had finally seen her on that river bank at night he would wake up and come to this underwater room, where he would find and look for pieces of jewelry to work on, silently being accompanied by the slight tinkle of light larvae that illuminated their work.
A pair of woven necklaces of deep green Jade and pink Jade, one as rare as it was sought after, he felt ridiculous at times when he carefully woven that pair of necklaces, how longing he must feel to think of her and even when he her dreams came, swimming deep into her mind to break through her thoughts not to let go, like a siren's song drawing all her senses to her.
He took each of his creations and placed them close to the mannequin's neck, observing how it would look, wanting to imagine what it would look like, Namor couldn't help but make a face in the form of a faint smile, adorned with a warm and dreaming look awake.
He looked carefully at each of the details of the necklaces, when from the place where Namora was he could make out a sound that he had not heard for years, a low note in tune, Namor was humming a melody, captivated in his own space
For Namora that was the last action she would have wanted to see from him, an uncertainty welled up in her stomach, she would have to be more attentive, behave appropriately, trying to find out what would happen, what thoughts were running through her mind of his God.
In Namor's blink of an eye, the skinned and atrophied fabric of the mannequin was transformed into the skin of the person for whom he wanted to dress, his appropriate tone, the smooth skin of his neck, if he raised his gaze a little to the She could see her face with a smile on her face, looking at him dreamily while noticing how her eyes rested on her creations.
"Which one do you want me to use... That's the answer..." he intoned Shuri's visualization before him.
—I see which one would look better on you, princess.
It was part of his imagination, he knew, having her so close but at the same time so untouchable made him feel confused, he knew that such closeness was impossible and he smiled accompanied by a hoarse laugh to himself, choosing the necklace that made him remember the most to her, choosing jade earrings that accompanied the colors of the dress, some in the shape of the spring flower of her Talokanil plant.
"I see you have a decision..." he swore he heard a small laugh, he himself laughed but more to himself, he couldn't believe that he wanted to hear a laugh from the young woman's throat.
—I hope the real Princess Shuri likes it…
— she will —Shuri's representation smiled warmly at him.
°°°°°
Namora entered the illuminated cave dressed in traditional fashion leaving behind any armor or weapons, being accompanied by a young Talokanil servant girl.
"Princess..." Namora spoke with a soft tone and with respect. Here the royalty wears traditional clothing… We made it for you. she indicated, holding out a neatly folded piece of clothing that he held in her hands.
—Do you understand what he says? Riri interrupted.
—More or less. —Shuri hesitated.
Namora was holding out the clothes for her gently, when one of Riri's hands stopped Shuri from taking the clothes from her.
—N-no Shuri, all supervillains do this…In all movies, Princess Leia, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, the white girl from Indiana Jones
—It's okay… —Shuri takes Riri's arm to lower her resistance tone
—Don't leave me here alone Shuri, this is like the typical movie scenes, where they take the princess away and trick her into keeping her… —she groaned nervously.
Shuri turns to watch as Namora tilts her curious gaze at her waiting for the Princess to take the offering from her, once she takes it, Namora gives her what might be a faint smile.
—Come with me… —Namora tells him to follow her, leaving Riri with another of her servants. She could almost hear Riri's voice in her mind, as she walked through the halls she listened as she continued to comment.
From where Namor was, he couldn't help but laugh when he heard that derisory phrase from the scientist.
—Shuri... It's like in Beauty and the Beast... Don't be drawn to Beast.
Namor chuckled for several minutes, at least those on the surface if they could have a good mood.
Shuri's serene steps as she followed Namora towards him, made him compose himself from where he was, the conversation was pleasant, she showed interest in their culture, invited her to come closer, showed her some relics while she listened to him.
He was somehow happy when she showed interest in the object that had belonged to his mother, he opened up to her for a few minutes, telling her his story, his origin, his mother, he talked about the only person who showed him care and love in her life, Fen “Talokan's mother” as told in the paintings.
Even when they talked about the future, when he disagreed with letting the scientist go, he wanted her to understand her perspective of her reality.
But when she wanted to give him a promise to protect the girl that started all the trouble, he hesitated and rejected her offer, it was when she offered herself in his place, that surprised him, how she could consider his life less than hers. from a mere surface human, she is the crown princess of the most powerful Nation on earth.
“I stay in her place” i> i>
His gaze swept over her, her posture, and he saw something he hadn't thought of, whether she was what Talokan needed or whether she was someone he needed.
°°°°
Seeing her smile when she met Talokan was a surprise, seeing her face illuminated with astonishment when she contemplated the Sun of her town, it was such that almost for a moment it made him smile back, he could not contain his desire to stretch out his hand towards hers to hold, he saw in her eyes how she turned to him in surprise and looked at where their hands were joined.
—And this? Is something wrong Namor?
—It's just that during these hours, the ocean currents are running very strong and I don't want you to stray away…
A small lie, one that was easily believed by Shuri, nodding carefully raising her corners into a small smile that blurred through the underwater suit, as she continued to gaze at the Talokan's Vibranium Sun. < /p>
°°°°°
In the few days that passed by the time of Namor, but even so he felt amazed with the presence of Shuri in them, she had taught her people, shown her food, reviewed some caves and for a few minutes she had not even inspecting the flowers growing in Talokan's garden, his face in awe of the paintings of their history, when they had to be returned by a message that had come from Queen Ramonda.
Something changed in Shuri's face, a sorrow that flooded her complexion, something that her mouth would not say, however her heart showed it in her emotions, she did not want to leave, if he could tell her to stay in Talokan For a while, you could try to create an alliance that will benefit both Nations.
Namor offered to burn the world down together, something he wouldn't hesitate to do if only she asked him to.
She was the first and in her mind would be the only person from the surface that with her favor would reach Talokan.
When she accepted her gift, being able to be closer to her was something special, the bracelet as if it were made for her, it was beautiful as what her mother once proudly wore, she hoped she could do the same.
A representation of Talokan's glory imprinted on that gift... Now in her hand, her wrist, a part of him will always accompany her
Hearing her talk about her feelings, about her brother, about his loss, he would have loved to be able to do more for her, but he couldn't give her an answer to her questions, but if he could show her how much he had to protect, his people, his children, his Kingdom, remain loyal to his decisions.
She understood him, showed him that she admired her work with her people and that made him feel satisfied.
Although she could not accept letting the young scientist remain in Talokan, that young woman was worth so much for her to feel bound to protect someone outside her borders, the first points of contention was knowing what was important to her, versus what was important to him.
She saw the anger, confusion and sadness when he let her know that given the opportunity the world would plunder Wakanda as long as it took everything she had, he wanted an ally in Wakanda, he hoped for an ally.
And the princess was still young, too young to understand his point, he wanted to offer an alliance between the nations, something that would not be broken, he did not want to be so firm with her, not when she was confused by her pain, not when he wished he could cradle in her hands, to sing in her ear so that she would smile, and he could hear the beautiful noise that would be her laugh, one that even she was not pleased to hear.
“I heard you that night, with your mother by the river, you said you wanted to burn the world down”
“Let's burn the world together”
"Princess, I'll be back... Remember what we promised each other days ago..." Namor added, once he moved away from her towards the water to go where the Queen called.
She couldn't accept it, but the way she looked at him before, how he knew that his eyes followed his steps towards the river, his sighs of resignation, the way he covered his face, you could tell the confusion, perhaps one apart from She wanted the same thing as him, to burn the world and let it fall at his feet, but she refused because of her responsibilities as a princess.
It was at that moment that he heard from the water, how she fully let out her last cry, one of several that she contained during all those previous days.
Namor would have liked to have gone back to her and silenced her tears, Shuri's crying with tender and soft kisses, but he preferred to leave her alone with her thoughts.
Although later in her own solitude a part of him regretted not having returned to her, perhaps so the last moment he had with her would have been a memory to treasure and not one with tears.
°°°°°
During the nights when he said goodbye to her after her walks through the talokan, when he left her alone in one of the caves, he noticed or heard from his guards how she isolated herself from where the scientist will be sleeping or walked a little through the corridors from the caves, waiting for a moment when they would not listen to her, while she inserted herself into her thoughts and whimpered, shedding tears for the loss of her brother, a desolate, abandoned cry, one she had never heard come to light.
He wanted to contain her, wipe those tears from her face, only once did he approach her when he heard her from her work room, his footsteps did not want to scare her, much less bother her, but the look she gave him when she was discovered was one of a lost little girl, and was her guide as she held out her hand for support.
It was her surprise when the young princess accepted the offer.
—Princess, you will never receive harm if you stay by my side… —He brought the Princess closer to his torso, holding her, giving her a moment of peace so that she will free her heart… plunged into her neck, he uncertainly and stealthily took one of his hands through the young woman's tousled hair and his free hand placed it gently on her shoulder.
A tremor from Shuri's body, kept Namor attentive, caressing her silhouette.
—Calm down Princess, breathe slowly. You are safe here. I will not allow any harm to happen to you while you are in my custody… I promise you. —Namor swore before the Princess, granting her a kiss on the crown of her head, she raised her gaze to him, calmer, kind and tender.
She carelessly placed her hands on the man's shoulders, looking up at him softly, searching his face.
—I am young, but I know when I can express my feelings, Namor... You have given me peace, Talokan has shown me more than I have seen, more than I have accepted from myself... Talokan has taught me to heal, to heal and to be free… Thank you. —After a long time as if it were a dream, Shuri bestowed Namor with a smile of genuine sincerity and happiness.
Shyly and smiling, she rose on tiptoe to kiss the centennial man's cheek, something simple, childish but completely authentic.
"You may... If possible, I wish you would call him by the name my people give me, princess... Aj K'uk'ulkan, for you are an ally to me... Princess Shuri."he said gently cutting the distance between them by placing his forehead against hers
—Aj K'uk'ulkan… —From Shuri's lips murmured what Namor wanted since he saw her, his name on her lips, now he wondered what it would be like to simply taste them and could be in peace, thanking Chaac for the blessing he received.
Namor began to feel how a warmth was intoxicating his face, and he felt a blush in his ears, if the young woman he kept in front of him concentrated more, she could assure that she would notice. p>
He smiled from the moment Princess Shuri called him as an ally, as an equal, as the way he dreamed she would call him in recent days, he yearned for him and finally managed to get what he wanted, he could not hide his joy no charm.
—Yes? In Itzia, in xunáan —He reached out one of his hands to take one of Shuri's, extending her palm until it was over Namor's mouth, kissing him slowly, leaving his gaze fixed on Shuri's eyes.
Her gaze followed him carefully and calmly, accepting his closeness, although a turmoil inside her threatened to expose what she was beginning to hide and feel more strongly at the same time.
—I think it could be me with you... But we must try to reach agreements, listen to each other and not just impose our ideas. —She mentioned taking one of her hands to join them with the free one that the King of Talokan kept, keeping their hands together, still allowing herself to be captivated as Namor continued to place warm kisses on her hand, passing through her palm, back, knuckles, wrist , brushing against his forearm, ending the path reciting words in his Mayan language, a vibration on his skin that Griot could not translate…
He took a few seconds in silence to finish with a phrase in her mother tongue, whispering against her, ending to give her a mischievous look, accompanied by a hidden smile, before moving away from her touch. p>
—Princess… Itzia, words are means but actions are exchanges, let's leave agreements for peace and fight for a war, one that I hope we never have to fall between the two of us, If not, I think it will hurt us a lot, but now that I'm starting to have favourites for a Princess from the surface... However, to tell you that I see hope in you and an alliance that I would love to make with you... —A smile returned to his stoic face.
—Is it selfish to think and dream of staying in Talokan for a while? Shuri murmured, so low that Namor had to strain his ear to get it.
Namor's words made her quick to feel his blood running down her cheeks, bringing a warmth to her complexion, while her heartbeat began to get faster, something that to Namor was a soft but constant pounding, accelerated, gave him a internal laughter knowing how the princess's heart rate was intense, he being the cause of it.
What was happening to Shuri was a song with an expected ending, she who was aware of science, could know each of the signals that her brain was receiving, each of the hormones and each of the feelings that she could begin to feel, but she didn't want to, she wasn't going to accept so easily that she could be in love with the King of the sea.
—Princess Shuri, if you want, then you can stay in Talokan as long as you need, stay in Talokan, it could be a second home for you, your company will always be my guest as many times as you want, but first I will talk to your mother about it…
Her mother was something that she had completely forgotten, her gaze drifted to the water where he had entered, getting lost in her thoughts, hoping and believing that she would be suffering from the separation, her mother had lost a lot, too much , so much so that he couldn't see her go.
Namor did not like to see her falter, not when he had managed to get her out of that state moments before, it was when he quickly took her into her arms and pulled her to the inlet of crystal clear water.
—No! Namor… You can't…” Shuri instinctively clung to Namor's neck as he carried her, pressing her face to her neck and criticizing him in her mother tongue cursing in Xhosa under her name.
—My name, Itzia… Maybe that's how I heard you.
She could swear Namor's cheeks tightened into a smile, with each step he took to bring her closer to the underwater entrance.
—K'uk'ulkan Don't you dare get me wet! —His demand of her was removed when the God-King had carried her out into the little space of sea.
It was a cold sensation at first, as every part of her was surrounded by the bubble of water from Namor's tunnels, where he let her float for a moment and touched her shoulder causing her to open her underwater eyes.
She was surprised that he didn't feel the sting of the salt in her eyes, it must be that he wasn't connected to the ocean yet.
In the water, holding her breath as she could, she managed to see how in the depth it was illuminated by glow worms, and Talokan flowers that possessed a natural glow adorned around her.
Namor looked at her excited and excited, as she stayed afloat next to him, while she pointed out and briefly explained each flower or plant that was next to Shuri.
Until the air felt present, her need made her realize again how different the two were, Namor's physiology surprised her.
Shuri clawed until Namor picked her up again and helped her reach the edge of the water where Shuri continued alone until she reached the shore, clinging to the rocks, breathing in need, shedding the adrenaline that possessed her body.
—Namor! I don't…
Namor came out again after having plunged in after leaving her to swim alone, laughing contentedly, a deep and serious hoarse laugh, accompanying the tears that she wiped away, and the beautiful smile that she could see on him one that he now possessed , I would never think to see someone smile like that for days... Only days that he came to his town threatening his kingdom, but that could remain on the surface.
She will leave in the water all the thoughts they had, what they shared and wanted.
—It seems that what I heard is true, felines don't like water... As they say in your family, you are the daughter of a Black Panther, a cunning feline. —He commented while he kept a wide smile on his face, when he removed excess water from his hair by combing it back. P>
— I'm not a Panther… —he answered quickly, as she longedly inhaled the air into her lungs, at least not one yet and I don't know if I'll become a Black Panther. Shuri thought as she calmed down and now she was turning her back to the rocks holding on slightly, which in turn kept her body submerged in the water, now that she felt it warmer. < /p>
Here in the depths she preferred the attention that Namor gave her, the consideration, the walks in his kingdom, the small gifts she received from him, some small shells, pearls of different colors with the excuse that they could decorate her hair.
Shuri was not naive, as the days went by she noticed Namor's approaches just as she was doing before, his looks, touches, some caresses wrapped in flattery, the consolations he gave her from silence, encouragement I gave him, he loved it.
She fell in love with the culture, the city and the people of Talokan, fell in love with it, wanting to stay, and inside, she was happy to make the decision to stay in Riri's place, but she would never admit it to herself , or anyone.
And she wanted that attention, she learned to understand him by seeing his features, she liked being close to him and watching how sometimes his pointy ears turned dark red, when he approached cautiously, slow, calm and cunning towards her.
As she now saw him doing it, while as if he were walking he approached Shuri, looking at her fascinated.
"Namor... I can't leave Wakanda..." her voice reached Namor's ears, who instead of stopping, placed his hand to the side of the rocks where Shuri was held.
—So… That's what you want. —He replied, lowering her face but keeping a fixed look in her eyes. P>
—As I said… It would be selfish for me as a princess to stay longer… In fact, if I think about it, I'm here to convince you in…
—As a Princess, you say, but what about the part that's just Shuri… Shuri… Look at me, if it's a short time you're in Talokan, then make it a pleasant memory .—He gave her his flirtatious smile.
She turned to look at him in confusion, he was taking her hand free of her, drawing her to him, bringing her hand to her chest, bringing Shuri's hand to where Namor held her heart. < /p>
—Listen to my heart... feel the beating of what you provoke in my Shuri... —Namor's deep voice reached Shuri's ears, where her heart began to beat more strongly.
While Namor took her hand to where her heart was. Feeling the strong pounding on her torso. P>
—I hear you… Your heart is pounding now, for me. —Shuri's gaze drifted now to exchange where each other's hands were.
—I… Nam… No… K'uk'ulkan, I just don't want to think right now.
—So don't think, just keep in mind what you feel, your heart beating for mine and my heart beating for yours…
He moved away from the rocks, but not moving away from the proximity of him, keeping himself suspended in the water with the flapping of his wings.
He reached out with her hand to cup her jaw and chin, resting her thumb on her lips.
He directed her gaze to her lips and then to hers, dark eyes of hers, as deep as the ocean, one he would love to show Shuri.
She bent her face and pulled her hand up toward him.
He began with a brush between their lips, a small caress.
Pulling back to wait if she denied him or separated from her, none of it was like that, all he saw was Shuri's face relaxed with her eyes closed, waiting.
He ran his gaze over her features, before leaning back, bringing her faces completely together.
He was just as he had imagined, now he would thank Chaac all his life
I enjoy every second, their first kiss, as sweet as a mouthful of pure, clean and pristine water, every touch that his fingertips touch on his face felt warm, every movement of his face in reaction to his kiss.
He stepped away from her a bit, and they both opened their eyes, she sighed in relief, looking at the man in front of her.
—Me and you, it could be us…Stay by my side…
she bestowed a short kiss, a second kiss and a third followed.
He wanted to get drunk with her, lose the sense of time next to her, touch her skin, drink from her, live in her aroma, have the taste of her in her mouth as much as he could. could.
She was beginning to want everything from him.
He moved away from her enough to touch her forehead to hers, brush her nose against hers, and murmur close to hers lips to hers.
—Inhale in itzia and come with me…
Namor dove into the water waiting for her, seconds after her she was in front of him.
As the man swam up to stand in front of her, bringing his hands to either side of Shuri's face, bringing them together again, soft, brushing their lips first to join in soft, firm contact, it was another sensation he was in. his comfort, the tides gently passed over his cheeks.
Letting the underwater currents spin them, in a smooth beat. A dance between the two of them, she brought her hands to him, clinging with one of them to his shoulder while the other placed it on the cheek of hers, the opposite of hers.
He placed her hand on her waist and on the nape of her neck keeping her close to him.
Once the kiss was over, he extended his hand in the water, being reciprocated by her hand, a different touch, she smiled at him under the water, when they turned to simple movements, to come back together, she held him from his neck that his hand was moving little by little to his back and the other hand was held on the shoulder of his companion.
When he responded by caressing her cheek and clinging to her once more in their game of staying together with no strings attached, no more strings than they could afford.
He brought her back to the surface of her cave, setting her down on the shore, both drenched now as the water ran down Shuri's face, neck and torso, where the water trickled down onto the Talokanil clothing she wore.
He leaned in once more to kiss her, playfully, in which she turned to finish her lips on the young woman's wet neck, she giggled at the tickle and he smiled over her skin Rising higher, keeping her under him, leaning on the shore, he gave her a short kiss on her lips to now move away gently.
—When I talk to your mother, I'll tell her that you'll stay in Talokan for the moment, until you feel that you're okay, until you feel that you're better... You'll have to wait for me until your mother comes to talk to me... —He said bringing his forehead together again with hers.
—I'll wait for you… —Shuri replied
—I'll bring you a surprise when I get back from that conversation… —He bent slightly to bring his lips to each knuckle of the hands, to finish placing a kiss on the back of each hand and then on the palms of them. p>
He brought one of his hands to the young woman's face, carefully removing the drops of water from her face, caressing it, to then bring his lips to a slow touch on the young woman's cheek, who responded by laughing softly at the tickling of the young woman. his short beard, gave another on his forehead, granting him a blessing to protect her and ended with an incomplete touch, just a brush between his lips and a kiss on the corner of the Princess's lips.
—I'll be back, Itzia, my princess.
Where she didn't push him away, he closed her eyes. By the time loneliness invaded her as he withdrew until he disappeared into the water, she let out a long sigh, when Namor continued to look at her from the water, he noticed how one of Shuri's hands touched where he had kissed her. p>
Something very uncharacteristic of a King, for all that had happened, but something usual for a man who has realized that he has fallen madly in love with a Princess.
The princess has captivated him and he hoped she was too.
He fell in love first and she fell in love with him.
°°°°°
Namor had appeared before the call of the Princess's mother, on one of the nearby beaches, her look denoted annoyance, she understood her only and precious daughter had been stripped from her side, but he at that moment he felt safer than the princess next to him, it was getting better than what little she contained a longing to return to her “home”.
I wanted to talk to him so much “The princess has cried tears that I see that in Wakanda she refuses to express”... “Between her tears she has told me dreams that she has never mentioned to you ” than “I have wiped tears from her cheeks” even more “Perhaps I have kissed her hands with sweetness and understanding, caressing her cheeks, more than any Wakandan has dared to approach to your princess, she has given me the opportunity to move forward”... “Your princess has given me what I asked Chaac for so many days, the taste of his lips, something I never wanted to forget ”
—Queen Ramonda...
—Namor, you... You took my daughter... Tell me if my daughter is alive
—The princess is alive and safe, she demanded to be taken to Talokan, she will remain there for the time being.
—What do you want me to offer you as long as you come back?
"Nothing..." she smiled mockingly.
Giving the queen a smug smile as the conversation continued
°°°°°
Hours had passed since Namor had left her in the cave near one of the tunnels leading to the Talokan Sea, where she had meditated on many things, everything spoken, the moments she had lived, how precious the world had been. how long, how much Namor had been a companion, support and confidant in listening to her, how much she never thought that she would see someone with whom she could talk, open up and confess dreams and desires she had.
Like telling her mother that she wanted to stay in Talokan, when she had a kingdom to return to, like wanting to run away from responsibilities when there were so many to fulfill. i> i>
She had returned with Riri after her last conversation with Namor, omitting many details and only talking about what he offered her, burning the surface world, in truth she doubted, after Riri's words, she momentarily accompanied a Talokanil servant to eat while Namor's voice remained in his mind, speaking softly, tentatively, he wanted to join his proposal, bring down everyone who wanted to collect from Wakanda something that did not belong to them, unite his kingdom, fight against the threats, but From within, she did not want to become an executioner for the family of someone who had died.
It was when Shuri saw Nakia and her heart raced, sighing nervously and feeling how all the hair on her body stood up at the arrival of the Wakandan.
While something inside Namor at that moment kept him restless, in his body he felt a threat, but it was not for him, he resumed his activity while searching among the fresh herbs for the ingredients for a traditional dish that he would take to Shuri .
Everything had happened too fast, Nakia, her steps, the threat of the guard, the latent wound she received, her moans, the other young woman who held the knife to the Princess's throat, Nakia's threat, the fear that was palpable from the young Talokanil girl, her breathing was altered, the sweat could be felt from her hands, she was young, she knew almost nothing of Namor's conflict with the world above, she could only think of the "death" of her partner before her eyes, when she tries to play her role as guardian.
A young life, a young girl.
Then Nakia
—Shuri… Move your left arm… —Nakia's voice cold as steel, a mission, she was on a mission, but Shuri didn't know the true consequences of the actions of the Wakanda war dogs.< /p>
A second after the shot, cold, without hesitating, and Shuri felt the scent of the young servant vanish beside her, panic washed over her, as she knelt before the girl, her heart screaming for help, but from her nothing came out of the mouth.
From the harvest field Namor looked around him, something felt strange again as if he had heard a groan or a moan, little more ignoring that, as if an underwater animal was the cause. i>
Shuri leaned down to press hard on the wound as Nakia reached her side
—Are you okay? You're fine? —Nakia whispered
—Give me your pearls! — Shuri grunted afflicted, interrupting Nakia, looking at me angrily, after seeing the face of the girl lying near her hands. P>
—Princess Shuri? —A thunderous murmur reached Namor's ears as he gathered fresh corn to go and offer it to her i> i>
—Shuri let's go... quickly.
—Nakia... Give me your pearls!... I can save her! Let me do it! —She screamed in anguish, she didn't want any of this, nothing, she had found peace for a moment because she couldn't stay like that for a moment longer, next to the young woman who offered her Talokanil food so sweetly, stay with Namor for a moment longer, look Talokan's Sun, because to have to act like this when they had done nothing wrong, she decided to stay, she decided to stay, she should be the one hurt.
—GIVE ME YOUR PEARLS! —I yell at Nakia in anguish.
I could hear the nervousness and sadness in the princess's voice... "Princess..." He dropped his harvest, when the grains and freshness were left floating on the water, he sped forward avoiding the inhabitants, shouting and demanding that they get out of the way. Shuri's cries of supplication were drowned out by the water but he managed to hear her inner crying, her prayer to the Gods.
—We have to go, Shuri come.
—No! I can still save her! —Gemia Shuri on the verge of tears, while squeezing the servant's abdomen more tightly, seeing how her gaze fixed on her. P>
Namor tried to swim faster, when Shuri's moaning in agony was heard louder, when she begged more and more to have the opportunity to try... When in turn she heard the growing moan of one of her people.
—It's too late, at this distance it's lethal, it won't make it.
—Don't you get it?! This will lead us to war, she did nothing wrong!
—WE HAVE TO GO! —Nakia took her by force, pulling her forcing her to walk roughly, while the princess complained about it, moving away from the injured girl of hers. P>
The resonance of the restless, forced and scandalous footsteps of the princess was heard throughout the cave, when the sob of her servant increased. i> i>
—Damn... Shit, faster... —
Namora watched him cross quickly while she took what she was going to give to the Princess, unique and special Cacao pieces.
—No… NO! NAKIA NO! —Shuri looked at the young woman on the ground, with one of the most anguished, dying and desolate looks, "A... Help me... Sa... Save me..." she thought she had heard even when her mask of water attenuated her voice, she was separated from the younger girl, she wanted to reach out her hands, but was pushed by Nakia to keep walking beside her until they left the Cave, leading them both to the surface through the water.
When Shuri turned to face Talokan, hoping, praying, praying to Bast that the girl would survive.
—Bast… Give that girl a chance please… Take my luck and give it to her… I want, I wish her to live… —I whisper a wish into the ocean water, hoping that her prayer will reach the Gods. < /p>
°°°°°
When Namor arrived at the cave, everything was destroyed, like a part inside it.
In her hands he wanted to bring corn and cocoa for her, to share a meal, to talk about how to find a way to stay together, even when her mother's refusal was latent.
Yet in her hands was the face of one of her young servants, one of her children, as young as Shuri herself.
—What happened, my girl? She — she spoke softly.
"The Wakandans... They came for her, K'uk'ulkan... Can she save me?..." the Talokanil girl murmured in a sorrowful voice until she was losing her breath.
While Namor lowered his eyes, with regret, with sadness and a deep pain inside her, when the spirit of the young woman was going to meet her ancestors.
Namora enters behind him, a vibration in her body of anger, annoyance, the intentions of criticizing him, scolding him rose with every word he said, she had told him before, that he was strange, and he was, but he wanted to deny it.
— Is she dead? ... p>
—Yes… —Namor carefully touched her face until he closed her eyes, letting her sleep in an eternal sleep. Rest up, little one.
—Did they come while you were talking to the queen? We shouldn't have trusted her... The princess has seen our home... What will stop them from attacking Talokan? She betrayed us... She betrayed you K'uk'ulkan... —Namora said with all her being, while she grasped the words, burying them in his King, in her God. P>
—I… I will do it… —His voice returned to formality and seriousness, nullifying any emotion he might have had, he felt hurt, bitter, the betrayal looming in a sweet voice that tempted him for his shoulder to exact his revenge.
°°°°°
He gathered his people, expressed his mistake, his misfortune, his loss, the negligence of his actions.
—The hope of an alliance blinded me… —In his mind they go through all the moments he spent with the Princess, he felt it, he knew that she tried to save her servant, but no one in Talokan would understand that, the most he could do it is to her directly to do the least harm, but her people wanted to pay for the death of one of their own. And I have endangered all of us... Talokan will not move again...
The following was the concentration of a part of him that lashed out driven by revenge and pain, two reasons that always bring harm to others. Actions carried out with hatred, rancor, sorrow and pain are the worst for oneself and for the people around them, where they only bring sorrow, misfortune, tragedy, sadness and mourning.
When the time came, part of him felt broken, ashamed and upset at having to fight her, seeing her aiming a Quinjet as he had heard, or air vehicle at him, while defeating every one of his soldiers, splitting them in half, crashing into the ground, lashing out at their metal wings.
But when he saw hers, the one she was driving, he couldn't hurt her, he couldn't when he looked in her eyes the fear of his ability, he didn't want her to be afraid of him, he just wanted revenge for the life of his girl, he jumped flying towards her landing on the glass to pierce his spear into the vehicle where she was piloting it.
He stared at her, watching, analyzing her face, nervous, anxious but sure of herself, like a panther.
—You are not a God, you are not a leader, you are a monster. —I would be lying if I didn't say that he was surprised to hear that from her lips, her hurt gaze pierced her body. P>
—We're both monsters. Waiting for the right moment to reveal who we are. He responded with the same intensity as her. She wanted her to feel the truth, they both were, similar ancient animals from his culture. Waiting when to attack, he had heard from the Wakanda Land Deity and among the whispers of the merchants that that right was expected to be handed over to his Crown Princess.
And that was when he dropped the vehicle that Shuri was driving into the water.
His grudge against him. The threat to the Queen I hate her The silence
He only attracted what he took Violence attracts more violence And the people defended themselves from him p>
By the time he realized what had happened, he found Shuri screaming for her mother, devastated, screaming for her, crying, wailing, leaving her body, grief, and it had all been caused by him.< i>
And the crying did not stop, neither that day nor the next, even in the depths of the ocean he could continue to hear Shuri cry for her mother.
He knew what it was like to have lost a mother and he had taken his from the person he loved and loved.
°°°°°
He fell into his wits, a machine heating up around him. The first fight, one that was filled with hate, rancor, blood, and strife. He ached at her scratch, at the cut on her wing, at how he broke his face, at her back, with his claws.
But he hurt more of her when on impulse he drove her spear into her body, feeling her flesh, muscle and bone being pierced. He looked into her eyes and heard how she moans, how she resisted, how her crying was, broken, hurt, caused by her hand, she could not bear it, hurting whoever she loved, whom she had consoled, whom she had kissed, shown his spirit, his thoughts.
—Could have been different. He gasped as he revealed her statement.
He was walking away from her leaving her, a part of him wanted her to hate him for everything he had done to her and another part of her wanted to see her again.
— It could have been different. — he whispered again to Shuri, looking at her as she threatened him by pointing the spear at her neck.
He saw in her eyes, the sadness, the anger of what they came to be, what they could not be and how broken everything was, how something broke between them, how she lost everything and he was the cause of that loss.
—Revenge has consumed us, let's not let it consume our towns. —Shuri was looking at him with agonizing eyes.
he saw in her her mother.
Could have been different
—I give up…
It was at that moment that he regretted her decisions, hoping that she would understand him now that they shared the same positions, what it was like to be a ruler, what it was like to be the authentic and only protector of her Kingdom. p>
However, what he found was that not all his decisions were correct, receiving a teaching from the person he fell in love with for the first time after centuries of life.
The young woman he loved, the girl who looked at him warmly was gone, replaced in her place by a woman who had closed herself off from trust, a woman who was now a panther, the closest thing to a Goddess for her. people, cautious, cunning, protective and dangerous... However, Namor was willing to show her again that what they had felt between them was deeper than the ocean itself.
Shuri will be happy again and Namor will find peace again.

@ineedsomesleeptoday asked if I would be doing an analysis on Ramonda, so here I go haha!
Her character is another one of my favorites!!! She's rooted and grounded in her traditions which I find admirable. The first scene, we see Shuri absolutely restless, trying to find a way to stop it, not wanting to admit that her brother could pass, not sitting with him. But we see Ramonda at the end of that long shot, she's broken but at peace. She's accepted it, that the king is no more, her son is gone.
The UN scene was soooo powerful 😩😩 The whole world is trying to take a dig at Wakanda now because they're vulnerable, they don't have a king. But she shows up in the most gobstopping dress I've ever seen and narrates how they don't have a protector but are still well capable to handle stuff and if they strike her off she will react differently. To me, that is the common ground she and Namor shares. She's more diplomatic I'll give her that but if the other parts of the world were going to invade Wakanda, she would all out go to war with them. But she's dealing with all these by keeping an open ear and being on the look out.
Now the scene with her and Shuri I believe gives us more insight into how they differ. I love that cause is some cases the mother x daughter relationship can be quite strained too. Ramonda is a lady of the past, she believes AI will take over the world, Shuri should try to move one, I got the feeling she was hovering over Shuri's shoulder. Which I would say is the aftermath of losing her son. She's doing everything from a place of love but I reckon it's too fast for Shuri, who has now become numb to the pain, she's grieving differently. Ramonda takes her to the bush and asks if Shuri's mental construct is giving her comfort or torment? Which such a stunning question to pose to intellectuals. I often feel women get portrayed as being overtly emotional, but not all of us are like that. I grieve in a similar way to how Shuri and Katniss do, so that scene comforts me a lot.
But it takes a turn when she reveals her true intention of the ritual which we can see that Shuri isn't ok with, she needs more time and thank the heavens Namor disrupted that moment because I feel like she was on the verge of telling Shuri about Toussaint. That would have been the worst moment. Shuri is enraged, wants to burn the world, prior to that scene she does not pick up Nakiya's call, coming to know her brother had a child would have been a lot to handle while she hasn't yet let him go.
Shuri buries herself in her work, in her lab, she keeps her mind busy so she doesn't have to sit and think about her pain. Now Ramonda actually does not know how to get her to stop and feel, she trying to do so in the means and methods in which she knows but its not working. But when Okoye notices the same thing and suggest to take her out, Ramonda gets protective. She's wants Shuri to be here because she's working through her own trauma, she wants no harm to come to Shuri at all costs, I understand that. There's also a tension between Ramonda and Okoye in that scene, Okoye tells her she'll be with me, but I get the feeling that Ramonda isn't as trusting of Okoye like in the first movie, I understand that because of the whole killmonger plotline.
Shuri gets taken to Talokan and when Ramonda gets to know, all the defenses she's held up so far crumbles. She's acting out. She's not being rational. And these aren't flaws, I'm just pointing out how her actions are changing. She's a mother bear whose lost her only cub. So even as she banishes Okoye, a few of the elders feel it's unfair. She's trying to reach out to Shuri but gets a hold of Everett and tells him to keep her updated if the States were going to 'take action' on Wakanda. Now she goes back to Nakiya, who I feel like wants to be away from all this because of her situation. She says those were the days of her past, because Toussaint is playing in front of them. But Ramonda is helpless, she needs someone she can trust and comes up with the plan of Nakiya tracking Shuri down while she distracted Namor.
Now her character is fearless but sometimes fear is good. She meets alone with Namor and this man is contemplating a whole invasion. So the ideal route would have been to play into her strength of diplomacy but she doesn't. She starts strong, asking him how Shuri is and if there's anything she can exchange for her daughter. His response breaks her patience and in that moment out right threatens him of leaking his secret to his face. We see Namor's mannerisms change to, he was cool in the beginning but after that sentence, he's tense. He would have left in the thought that Shuri was going to be there and that he could have worked something out through her? I don't know. But I'm sure he's not handling it well, he would have become paranoid.
My personal take is Ramonda should not have threatened him when he has clearly told them he's got more warrior than Wakanda has blades of grass.
The other thing that goes wrong is the whole infiltration. Nakiya does it without any sensitivity. She just wants the princess back upon orders by the queen but she's not thinking about the consequences of her actions. She threading fragile ground. I feel like she could have just stunned the two guards instead of killing them. Namor would have let that slide, but instead she lethally wounds them in a way they cannot heal themselves again. The warriors Okoye stabbed got back up, so with body wounds I think they do regenerate.
This plan is a choppy disaster. But Ramonda gets Shuri back and everyone's happy only for a short time, before the invasion happens. The other scene that is strikingly scary is when Ramonda faces Namor. She's waiting for him? She's unprotected and tells Riri to run. I think she herself knew that this would have been the end. She's fearless and comes to terms with it. I don't see her panic. She faces him head on even when she knows she doesn't stand a chance. It's possible that was because she knew her threat will not be received kindly? I have to see the film again to piece it all together. But her defiance to run from Namor speaks volumes but at what cost.
She was noble, selfless, fearless, loving and diplomatic but she's absolutely human when she mixes it all up and gets it wrong.
Her death is significant, it pushes Shuri to recreate the heart shaped herb. She wasn't willing to do so till Ramonda was there. She knew that her kingdom was vulnerable but the black panther had to come back. It pushes her from girlhood to womanhood.
Quite similar to when:
Peter parker loses aunt May
Hiccup loses his dad
Katniss losing Primrose
It's a character arc for the hero to set up. That's my take on it.

The movie clearly stated that the real villain of the movie were the US and French gouvernements. Not Namor. Maybe I misunderstand you take about Wakanda Forever ?
i mean initially, yeah, it did. but eventually the focus was narrowed completely to wakanda and talokan alone and talokan's grievances against the americans who would extort their resources were exaggerated to a desire to burn the whole world down. it was inconsistent, and it was inconsistent for a reason, to support the idea that the wakandans were more socially acceptable "anti-colonists" bc their behavior only extended so far as defending themselves and verbally asserting their independence. they never openly expressed violent resistance against their would-be colonizers. think about why, in both movies, agent ross was presented as the amiable, not-like-the-rest-of-them cia agent, deserving of redemption despite all of the atrocities the cia is responsible for, while characters like killmonger or namor were turned into almost cartoonish villains, because if either movie had taken their initial grievances against western exploitation seriously, there would be no reason for wakanda to ever view either of them as enemies, because their motivations wouldn't be so cartoonishly exaggerated in the first place. it's all about optics, and the optics of marvel movies seek to support one mission statement: voicing criticism of the american government is okay, so long as you do it peacefully, and you are willing to cooperate with the "good apples". if you express a desire to do violence or seek revenge in any way, you're a trigger happy belligerent. the problem is not so much that the movie fails to portray the us (or french) government as an enemy, the problem is that it dictates the terms by which you’re allowed to criticize these governments. it’s policing anti-establishment expression. this post also summarizes it very well
