The concept of batter is so visceral and unsettling, it can be used in such a gorey and disgusting way to show body horror, but no one really does that.

To add on, I think the closest thing to describe him as is a tangible ghost. He’s a concept of a man, a baseball player, and a distant father. But it was made into a monster, that we see as a simple man.
