Loved that Ray was along for the ride in Frozen Empire, he wanted to get stuck back in, and he wanted to help Pheobe and Podcast with the mystery

but it would've been great if just occasionally Ray (or Peter, or Winston, though they weren't interacting with the new guys on a personal level much) just dropped a couple of tips he'd learnt from his time, or just helpful anecdotes from back in the day - the kind that you're confused by at the moment but later make you go "oh shit, that's why they told me"

I got a job as a bookseller!!!

#nat talks #listen. it's not the dream bc I've already worked in a bookstore and it's actually terrible at times #but I only really worked during holidays and people were just so rude #BUT I do have higher hopes for this location #also I tentatively know two people who work there so it will be fun! #it's a sub role and a little unclear if I'll only work during christmas and the book sale in feb or more #it depends on if the people who are on sick leave will return and when #but I can keep freelancing and apply for corporate jobs I want in the meantime #at the very least I can work during december either way and if I end up finding something else maybe I can work weekends during the booksal #so to not let them down too much #I honestly am just looking forward to getting out of the house and meeting people and working with my body more #because my mind is very fried #I have a short shift tomorrow to train #then I'll see when I'll officially start but it will probably be soon! #I've had a very busy few days so I wish I had said I could do my training shift next week #bc they gave the option of this wednesday or next #but I didn't want to turn it into a “thing” by letting too much time pass bc I might get anxious about it #but now I wish I had lmao I'm tired #also forgot I was gonna be home alone with the dog tomorrow #had been looking forward to it tbh #oh wellll #work stuff

#caroline talks #i laugh because it's not even really 'early' #i woke up at like 8 am today which is actually. kinda considered later for me in the mornings #because even on the weekends i usually try to wake up at around 7:30 bc. idk. being a full-time law student #means that. you gotta really get going even on the weekends #and then during the actual week i'm usually up by 6:30 am #maybe earlier if i really need to get more stuff done #but it's break! which means that usually i'd be up at around 9 am #or even at like. 9:30 am #but i have an assignment due at 9 pm tonight #and then i have some networking calls to make tomorrow afternoon #and i also need to outline for my classes bc oh god we are officially less than a month away from the first exam #which makes me. scream #so like! we are being. so normal #how can i relax over break when time is hurtling at me like a TRAIN #anyways in a panic #i actually started working on this assignment last night #bc for some reason i thought it was due TOMORROW instead of TONIGHT #so yesterday in a rush i printed out all 25 pages of the assignment #read through it a few times on the train #tried to do some of it but the wifi SUCKED so i couldn't get far #then came home at like. 6:30 pm #ate dinner + chatted with my family for like. 3 hours #then from like. 10 pm until almost 1 am i was working on the first part of the assignment #and then 7 hours of sleep before going into the next part of the assignment #it is now 11:34 am #i have been at it for roughly 3 hours now

#tw period #im so sick and fucking tired of this shit #like. im not even in extreme pain! im at low-to-medium level discomfort that comes in waves all day #but that's the PRELUDE. my period hasn't even officially started yet #and i don't know what this means. idk if this means i'll be slammed as if by a fucking freight train tomorrow if i don't take my meds #i think it will bc that's becoming the norm. light periods are quickly disappearing or few and far between #im so tired #(doesn't help that i didn't get enough sleep last night but still) #and i feel that while my periods are pretty brutal they're not the level i see people with diagnosed endometriosis speak of #i've got meds that pretty much suppress the majority of it leaving me with just an undercurrent hum of pain #which is a fucking blessing btw bc without them i would be almost unable to function on day 1 and 2 #so im like well ive got something that works and it's easily available drugstore medication so surely it can't be THAT level of bad #like. it's bad. but it's not [insert chronic illness] right? #i just don't fucking know. all i know is that this sucks and it happens every month and im uncomfortable to go on hormones and just. #it fucking sucks. #i remember when my periods felt the way im feeling right now (as im yet to start bleeding) and it scares me #idk if it'll get worse but it sure ain't great already #anne speaks

星汉灿烂: 赞不绝口

I actually managed to watch the entire drama (Love Like The Galaxy) in 5 days of CNY. I've got to say this is one of the best dramas ever. One of my favourite things about this show is that it takes care of all the loose ends without fail. All the arcs and stories about the side characters get their own spotlight. The actors and actresses are brilliant. I love the FL so, so much. Love the way the ML kept reaffirming his love for her. (Though the fact that they proclaim their love for each other in public, HAHA!) How they mature emotionally and mentally together over the arcs throughout the show.

Gah. It's definitely a rewatch for me.

#birthday is officially over #ignoring the mild migraine it was a good day #mom called before i left this morning and dad a while after i got back #two sisters texted (one who also called later in the day) #and got a call from my busiest sister who also gave me money for ‘lunch or fika’ to celebrate the day #also in late afternoon/early evening mom came by with a flower and a couple of presents #since the migraine started early yesterday my supervisor told me to stay home tomorrow if i’m still in pain then #bc as she said - she doesn’t want me to force myself through work training and suffer with the pain #that has nothing to do with my bday but i just wanted to add how lovely she is #so yeah - despite the migraine part it was a good day #and last but not least thank you to everyone for your bday wishes
