And a lot of this is just going to be me ranting about scenes (the rants will most likely make you wanna go "Ginkgo, that's common sense we can see it smh." XD Just roll with it. Oh and NUzi scenes

Spoilers, duh and lots of words. Oh and gore warning? Kinda?

I mean... that scary *ss mother facking thing towards the end- you know what I'm talking about if you watched the ep 😅

First thing I found interesting, is how the Solver behaves in this scene. It's mere shadows, not even fully manifested. Further proves that the Solver transcends simple time and space, and is on a different plane of existence- a 4th dimension if you will.

The humans did, in fact, learn how to control the Solver. The pentagram like projections act as gravity enforcers and lights that subdue the solver for a period of time. Buuuut it seems that it's not full proof. It seems that this occurance is fairly common, seeing as the workers nearby were not very concerned that an eldrich being was about to break loose.

Alright another slow moment here. But I had to google wtf "MacGuffin" meant (English isn't my first language, so take it easy on me ;w;). And taking this straight from the google search "an object or device in a movie or a book that serves merely as a trigger for the plot." So most likely, the Absolute Solver is referring to the fact that Mitchell the intern set things in motion simply because he was mistaken for the real Dr. Chambers... Classic- CLASSIC human mistake XD

So... Heart/Nori. Something interesting is going on with her. I believe Nori WAS injured by the DDs and had to be finished off by Khan. I'll touch on Khan a bit later. But, just as seen with Eldrich J... I'm not sure why I've never thought of this before! It makes sense for Nori's corrupted core: Heart, to still function properly. Meaning, she could have snuck away when she was killed and returned to the cathedral to search for the crucifix. Uzi gets most of her style from Nori 🥹. Seems like Uzi got her mom's style and Khan's engineering abilities.

I had it all wrong- and I am ALL FOR IT! N wasn't afraid of something he saw ahead. He was upset with what they left BEHIND! V! And THIS ENTIRE SCENE

You cannot believe how surprised I was. This scene was so much better than I could have imagined it. Yes, it was painful to watch, but sweet robo-god this was executed SO DAM WELL TwT It was delicious angst. And Tessa was not in fact drawing her sword on Uzi, but instead protecting her... kinda... with an ulterior motive of course.

The gut wrenching betrayal right there. The animation team did a wonderful job at animating the betrayal and how it manifested in Uzi. Disbelief and then anger.

Not to mention her stumble. I hyper fixated on that stumble a bit too much on my first 2 watches. (Yes, I've rewatched the episode 8 times now, hush I love it XD). Her stumble shows weakness. And in that moment, she wishes to be anything BUT weak. The suspicion of betrayal is settling in, and she needs to be able to fight back. But her body is giving out. The events are taking a toll on her. And makes me appreciate the animation detail that much more.

This scene N is definitely angry. He's trying his best to keep it together and Tessa's pressure to injure and kill Uzi is not helping. So for him to be talking to Uzi, while glaring at Tessa is just him driving the point home. He is NOT going to hurt Uzi, no matter what they might find down in the labs.

But a poor choice of words that was. It gives Uzi a glimpse of what was actually happening and what has been bothering N. The trust vaporizes, and with it, any attempts with communication.

And what I believe, gives a nod back to ep2. As N steps in to try to help Uzi up, she retreats. Same happens in this episode. And the kicker? "Falling... for you" song starts lightly playing in the background.

This is far too comical after he says he deserves to have his limbs cut off. The whiplash I got from that is ridiculous... in a sad and funny way.

What an amazing shot. But it does paint a picture of what the DDs have done. Perhaps the blood also acted as cooling agents, and this is why the trend continued with robots- except this time around as oil. And this is what the Administration CYN most likely blocked out. Not only the manor time, but also the bloodbath that followed as Earth collapsed.

THE DOG MADE IT IN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It's interesting on how the solver manifests in the drones. It seems that Uzi's wings and tail, do not make the solver go insane, and she can continue to use it. However, later in the episode the same wings and tail go berserk. So it seems that once the transformation has set in- like with Uzi- it becomes part of the drone rather something that is manifested by the Absolute Solver's control.

SO MUCH TO UNPACK HERE XD Part 2A that Khan refers to is on the bottom left corner, the green core that Uzi got a hold of back in pilot episode- also titled as "I think this is a robot liver or something lol."

Plan B: Uzi could have had a normal gun if railgun didn't work. Bottom right corner

Top left corner under Uzi's railgun title: "30 min recharge time. That'll be fine." Famous last words ever XD

Top right corner: "Other things it can do: Not judge me, force prom dance, I can say I had friends but fricken murdered them with sci fi weaponry."

I love how sassy he is here XD His character development and arc is something that I will never forget. He has definitely come a great ways. Khan also seems adamant about his wife being completely dead. Which proves that he didn't know a single thing about the Absolute Solver and what it can do. He could only reference Nori's insane drawings and deduce that the planet was going to eat them all soon.

Idk if this is just my tired brain, but this comment felt like a joke to me. (Remember, I don't know anything about computers and the language ;w;) But the physical patch to save herself... as in, the same patches that are sent out for games/programs to fix bugs? That's the joke I got out of that one 😅

This entire sequence was something out of my nightmares XD The heel tapping that KEPT GETTING QUICKER definitely had me reeling back from the screen XD

The Nori and Yeva scene was so wholesome 🥹. I loved the way the animators showed their interaction. Despite the hellish events, they were still close.

My only issue with this image is, on what is Doll moving? Not like the floor. The core is gone from her body, what the heck is still driving her forward? Perhaps just on the sheer will to warn Uzi to "fight back." And I suppose I can see how she could still move without her main core. Almost acting like chickens do, when you cut their heads off. One was able to live for 18 months after the head was cut. So I suppose I can get behind the idea that Doll's final wish was to warn Uzi, at the very least, and thus forced the body to move until it did so.

But then, Tessa shows up. Which makes me wonder if she was the one that simply lead Doll's body to come to Uzi. How? Uhhh... Absolute Solver! Let's just go with that sweat face. The con in that theory is a simple: why? Why bother leading Doll to Uzi? To spook her? To give a false reason to attack Uzi? Given that N was still very much behind them all, I don't see why the Absolute Solver would try to make up some odd reason to attack Uzi. It could just simply... go ahead. There was no one there to fool, and could incapacitate Uzi easily. Buuuut I could also be looking too deep into this, as per usual.

Hey guess what.

I found the answer. XD Just as I'm typing this up, a frame popped up.

Yup, the core was still inside and thus running Doll and thus Doll could move, ok carry on. XD

Emotions spike the Absolute Solver, something that I love seeing and appears to be less headcanon and more canon at this point for me. Through the entire episode, the Solver keeps glitching out and forcing Uzi to lose control because in this situation, she's very stressed. A betrayal, a misunderstanding, learning about the past, everything becomes too much. This makes keeping the solver at bay that much harder.

He did NOT give her any chance. Yes or no, Tessa. That suddenness surprised me- in a good way. This shows how much N has grown. He's willing to stand up for his beliefs that much better. If he suspects something, he now acts on it, and does not wait for the other side to perhaps change his mind.

This scene. This scene shall live in my head rent free for a long while... Actually, the entire episode is gonna live rent free for a while. XD Not to mention the "Falling... for you" song plays in the background yet again. Ugh, pulling on heart strings there ;w;

They had us all fooled XD The hand lights were on just to trick us, and in fact were meant to be off this entire time! Oh you sneaky sneaky people. >w<

ALL OF THESE SCENES, they're all so cruel but SO GOOD TwT So cruel in context of how tortured N must be to fight Uzi, but so good in context that this fight sequence and animation is executed SO WELL. All of Nori's slaps were so personal XD Mama Nori educating NUzi

When I saw this scene, I couldn't help but think of ep3 and their dance. This entire episode is so bittersweet ;w;

She's still there TwT And she sees this entire fight. Of what she has become and done to N and omg I'm crying again. Moving on.

OMG YOU SILLY GOOBER BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH XD I love Nori/Heart's reaction, but the Absolute Solver also gets me laughing a bit too hard. "WHAT." That's so simple yet so effective. "What. Why. You are a DD I sent to kill the hosts, why are you hanging out."

The entire scene with NUzi screaming. Just. YES. What better way of gettin rid of stress than screaming! ^_^

Oh you sneaky, sneaky people. Well, all I can say, you got me. You got me good. This is something I didn't think of, but should have. It's simple to get these shots with certain rigs missing. And it was done seamlessly. Well done, well done. I begrudgingly applaud you. XD

HE'S PATTING HER HEAD AAAAHHHHH *proceeds to ascend to another realm*

The way she shook his hand trying to snap him back to himself and wake up 😭. And the entire sequence following this... I'm just now slowly starting to process it, oh and great I'm sobbing again. Alright, moving on.

Well, I have some thoughts in this. This is personal thoughts, thus this is where you are more than free to yeet this section into the void that Uzi was dragged into... sorry that was a bad joke- anyways. "Die mad." I feel like this is her way of telling N to not give up. To go out there and FIGHT. But if he can't win, then to die like she is. To die in a way that he will be proud of and to go batsh*t crazy. Because by now, Uzi must know that all of their chances of survival are slim. So you might as well go out with a bang and "die mad."

Something I noticed and was further solidified when @bloodywolfwings also mentioned it. Uzi looks at peace here and very accepting of death. And I say, yes, she very much is. I think this was a way of her asking N for forgiveness. For getting mad at him in the beginning of the episode, for failing to be useful/protecting N, and for fighting against him- despite being possessed. And perhaps even, as an incredibly insane and radical thought, for loving him. This entire episode has put the characters and us through the wringer, and that "sacrifice" was just the cherry on top.

Something I have seen already mentioned once at very least (by @/rebecca-babe) and something that also put me on edge was the ending credits... or the lack of. Of course, all the credits roll, but it's not the usual type. Instead of an upbeat music that is either "Uzi the drone killer" or a theme that was seen in the episode... its SILENCE. Being a musician myself, I love how much love has been put into Murder Drones. The sound effects and the main music are always top-notch. But that ending unsettled me the most. The lack of all noise is something that is terrifying and unsettling in that ending. Almost like all the music and sound left with the "sacrifice" of the main character, Uzi. The entire episode was filled with sounds, silence only being present when something incredibly WRONG was happening - like at the beginning when intern Mitchell re-entered the cathedral. And as much as I love how well executed this entire scene was, I hated it. Because that scene does the job that it was set out to do. Put you on edge, and make you feel like all hope is lost. That this is it. This is the end.

This is the end of my rambles and thoughts that I had while watching ep7. I may have more later on as I keep rewatching this episode for the rest of the week ;w;

so here's a question.

WTF IS GOING ON WITH SARAH?

because she's been acting so weirdly around evelin and i can't figure out what her deal is.

for starters, we know that sarah has to have some idea of what's going on with adam. she knows he's talking to somebody at the end of vol4 ("what's going on adam? who are you talking to?") even though she wouldn't have been able to know that unless she was standing right behind him in his bedroom.

secondly, in catalyst, she starts the conversation with evelin about adam but then immediately pivots and claims he's entirely fine and nothing's wrong even though she and evelin both know something isn't right.

and now, in presto, she's being weird again. firstly, you're telling me you somehow learned how to "hack" into any security camera database you want? and you just do this for fun from time to time? no wonder you have a warrant out.

then we have the call. evelin is clearly terrified and confused, and sarah has to know (at least somewhat) what's going on with adam (see point 1) so why isn't she telling her the truth? oh he just happens to do this every now and then but you've noticed a sudden, significant change in his behavior recently and you're not gonna tell his ex-girlfriend who is clearly concerned and worried about him??

then we cut to SARAH's computer being interrupted by a security cam signal from the mcpd station. how would it know how to access her computer if she hadn't already logged onto it's network? it wouldn't. so she's been searching through the mcpd cam footage herself (would she have seen evelin go to the police station???)

and then of course, we're watching adam and thatcher's conversation at the station through SARAH's computer. there's no universe where she doesn't know what's going on at this point.

so why isn't she telling evelin? i'm glad they're bonding over adam being a dickbag but like... why is she hiding what's really going on? does sarah know that evelin has viewed the tapes (from dave's security cam)? does she know evelin went to the police station?

this puts EVERY SCENE we've ever seen with a security cam in it into a whole new perspective. I always thought it was weird that we were watching security cam footage from the mcpd bc... who was watching the footage? SARAH.

if there's one thing i've learned from following this series, it's that alex doesn't add details for no reason. sarah technically has a motive to be spying on the mcpd. they let her brother's case go cold, and we know for a fact that she's always been pissed about it. so spying on the police fits her character like a glove. but i just can't get past why she's being so cryptic with evelin??

Muzan has his teeth clenched in hate against all of you. "- Hahahaha, why no one told me he was so strong and handsome, no wonder he could live so long, he looks young and healthy, too bad I'll have to kill him, sorry Mr King." You smile at him, winking. Muzan frowns, never in a thousand years he has seen such behavior and affront towards him. In a sharp answer he wants to awake your fear. "- It will be a pleasure to eat your meat." Muzan's tone it's a calm one, over you are his iris, analyzing you, carefully. "- OHHHH, you alk heard that??? Hmmm he wants to eat me hahahaha." In a sigh, your monotonous expression towards him would be common, but not in a situation like this, but by lowering your sword hilt you initiate a family's dialogue. Muzan totally ignored in a scene. Everyone's thoughts is "wtf." The improbable happens Muzan is dominated by the intrigue and magnetism of your personality. "- Miss. Why don't you become an oni? I'd let you do whathever you want to do." You stare into the scarlet eyes of his. Again not bowing to him. "- Whaaaatttt? Me? Be one pet of yours, I don'tthink so? Listen Mr. "I think the world it's mine"...if my own brother, a man full of values and respectable, already represses me, what about a murderer like you? Ok you are hot, but you need a new brain hahaha." Your eyes shut as you move your shoulder in disdain. With this all of them already decided, Obanai, Gyomei and Kyojuro, agreed, YOU NEED GET OUT OF THE BATTLEFIELD.. for sure. With the decision, Obanai comes up behind you and putting his hand over your mouth to stop your "pearls" comes out, he brings you out of the fight. From the mouths of all the pillars present the conclusions come. "- She always does that." Kyojuro with his head down and a red face apologizes about you, as he always does. Muzan is watching you being carried away, your sole your soles dragging on the ground as Obanai immobilizes you and you're used to being taken out of the field aren't surprised, it's just like "here we go" while this, your middle finger go towards Muzan's eyes, with "a give a damn atitude. " The King's lips let out a smirk. Your personality it's just so fun to him, the way like you fear nothinfg, even death, it's like you are above normal humans. With this in mind, Muzan has made his decision. It's strange, but he backs off for now, after give some lesson to the hunters, not to the point to kill them...or you wouldn't be satisfied at all. Not that Muzan would care about of what you think... or would? This is going over his head. So darling, soon your abode will not be at the Rengoku's mansion, after all, you can be anything but a tedious creature, Muzan loves strong emotions. And you are a unique specimen, "sophisticated" as you are, Muzan will appreciate having you by his side to entertain him, or tease him... after all no ones dare to do until now. GIYU/AKAZA

Giyu, your younger brother and you had a full day where you wielded your swords time after time with success, always together on missions so it's normal that you protect each other, but Giyu, despite all the calm that inhabits him, today is giving you a huuuge scolding , as if you were the youngest one. "- Listen y/n, what's on your mind, making small talk with oni in order to provoke them even more and run even more danger?" Being the brat that you are, I fear if one day you get in front of an upper moon." All you do is shrug your shoulders in a gesture of "I don't care." "Come on Giyu, don't be mad at your sister, I'm just enjoying the present, nothing more." Giyu looks at you with a "what did I do to deserve this?" expression. Outside of your house, watching the stars, you could hear something approaching from behind the trees, he was watching you from afar while you were smiling in your fight to the oni that you have killed, and finding exciting how you were getting away from the oni's blows. Eyes showing proudly to you the message in kanji, the ranking top three. You look back at him. Akaza can see your brave attitude, you don't blink even once. It seems you both have pretty much in common. Kill you now? No. You were Akaza's new research subject. "- Sorry I'm not working now. Long day" You take your eyes from him and back to the stars. Akaza it's just "???????" An angry feeling is going on inside of him, and steps are firmly going in your direction to intimidate you, while this you just cross your arms. "- Of course this makes sense to you weak human to say this, you are alone and have no chance against me." Looking at him from the bottom to above and with a naughty smile on your lips, Akaza finds himself wondering if you are really fearless or crazy. He widened his eyes. "- What, will you not answer me?" You put your hand on your chin and hum to him. "- Well, you said I have no chance against you, and…" In silence and slowly you take your arms from your previous position and go close to him. Akaza it's astonished. The feeling of his arms being caressed smoothly in his tattoos by your fingertips takes him to another level, angry? Amazed? He seems lost in his thoughts and starts to awkwardly retreat a little. And you proceed with your answer. "- But, would I have a chance with you?" Akaza now takes himself out of the presence of the demon which is you, and runs away as fast as he can. But…he can't escape from how he feels... and the flames are burning in his face like a volcano. Listening you laugh in the background as he gets further and further. You can be sure, y/n... this was not his last visit. You will pay a high price for it.

UZUI/SANEMI/MUICHIROU/GENYA/KOKUSHIBOU

Uzui and his shinning two red blades moving fast as the sound, are cutting through the flesh of uppermoon one, Kokushibou, who regenerates instantly. So like Shinazugawa and you are also attacking dancing around him. "- Dude, he has six eyes, how to beat this guy? I'll tell you brother, he's more flamboyant than you when fighting hahaha. Look, you don't have that cute samurai hair that moves during a fight." "- Y/n, don't start that shit again." Speak Shinazugawa. "- Shinazugawa is right, y/n, although I worry about being flamboyant, this isn't the time y/n. I'm more concerned with getting this monster's head off." "- Shut up, your sewn rag doll." Your relationship with Shinazugawa was not friendly, after all, you both have a similar maniacal side, as they say, two alike don't match up. While you exchange offenses, Kokushibou watches your movements. Kokushibou has a thing for refined techniques, seeing you hold your Nichirin with such elegance he recognizes it. "- An elegant technique, you don't waste moves, madam." "- Uhull haha saw Shinazugawa, unlike you, grandpa, I don't fight badly." "-Y/N." Scream Uzui. "- What's up? I'm being recognized by number one. I deserve some credit." While talking and distracting, one of Kokushibou's arms falls to the ground. Your burning blade surprised him. "- Thank you sir six eyes, now can you let me cut off your head please?" Kokushibou doesn't seem to believe what he hears and sees. But he can't let his guard down. Muichirou arrives to help, as does Genya, who starts getting screams to get out of there from Sanemi. "- Wow this guy is so annoying, brothers are sucks." Rolling your eyes and talking as if sharing an opinion on a quiet afternoon having tea with Kokushibou. This phrase has an effect on the number one. Yoriichi and everything else that Kokushibou lived through as Michikatsu comes to light. He hated Yoriichi, he understood you completely. And with your words, Kokushibou found himself distracted from the blows that constantly hit him. His arm was taking a while to regenerate, Uzui successfully severs another number one member. Kokushibou has been missing the fighting members. Without fear of what might happen to you, in one of the moves, you grab the number one from behind. "- Mr oni, I want a hug hahaha." You are hanging around Kokushibou's neck, who could kill you at any moment. "- Y/N ARE YOU CRAZY???" Shout Uzui, didn't I tell you that brothers suck? You whisper to Kokushibou ears. He and everyone else is paralyzed by such stupidity. Your body quickly turns around, bringing with the weight of your legs, Kokushibou's body below you. The position you find yourself in is embarrassing to say the least, but to you it's nothing. "- Stand still Mister one, I need to cut off your head." All the hashiras like in slow motion are going over Kokushibou's neck to save you, Uzui's hands trying to reach you out, wide eyes are over you in disbelief. But the dialogue that Kokushibou initiates becomes persuasive. "- One more move and I'll turn her into an oni." Everyone expected the word Kill, not transform. You, on top of him, place your hands in support on the floor around his neck as your body leans towards his face. "You can kill me…why turn me into an oni?" Your words come out along with a teasing smile."- A really interesting human you are…madam." "-Please, y/n, get out of there." Uzui's voice is trembling. Of course you don't mind. "- Lord number one, you turn me into an oni, but I'm still going to rip your head off. Shhh, it's gonna be fast, no pain to you, I promise. " You place your Nichirin in position to decapitate him. It is quickly going for Kokushibou's neck, who suddenly disappears from under you. Actually, he had never fought seriously, the only reason to keep the fight in sequence was to contemplate the show of embarrassment you were putting on. But your expressions were captivating. He is gone. Just the silence around all of you. No choice, let's go home...( Continued) and it's u natural get scolded one after another...

And it's natural you get scolded one after another while whistling on the way home by Uzui. Your lips move silently imitating him as you shut your eyes and hold your head in boredom. Rest time, after your bath on a hot night, just the towel is wrapped around your curves, your smell spreading into the air. Several eyes scan your features. You hum a song while turning to pick up your robes, as slowly the towel falls to the floor, revealing it your body entirely, to be adorned by moonlight making it even more exquisite to the creature diving into beauty. In a few seconds the intruder is in your room . "- Madam, I see you are uncovered." He whispers in your ear with his uncommon sword in front of your throat. You continue moving as if nothing is happening"- And now you're going to cover me in my own blood?" Your tone is sarcastic. Kokushibou can't help, but lets out a slight nasal smile. For not even in the face of death you behave like this. Still sweetly whispering he tells you. "- I think I'd rather cover you with something more comfortable." You just feel a hand on your neck…bye conscious state. As you wake up, your skin is beautifully covered by a samurai's black hair. Ah... I forgot to mention... you now have a pair of hands covering you too, and yes…they are more comfortable... you got your credit…"madam."

Welcome to another episode of me overanalyzing side-characters !

I'll explain why I consider this scene to be one of the most fucked up moments of the show (wwdits shitty meta) :

(I probably extrapolated, it's just my personal interpretation)

So in short, Colin stole Sean's car, the man is not upset with the teenager, actually it's Laszlo who is really mad because it could have seriously pissed off his best friend; Sean initially sides with Colin.

S : "Look, uh, we all make mistakes. It's no big deal - Listen, he was just taking it for a little joyride."

So Sean is aware that it was basic teenagers' bullshit and isn't particularly upset about it. Guillermo prompts Colin to speak up.

As Colin starts to vent, Laszlo interrupts him, even insulting him, Sean tries to step in to calm the tension.

C : "You can't tell me why I grew a foot and a half overnight like a human radish."

L : "Listen, you ungrateful f*ck, you're giving me the pip."

S : "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa."

[...]

S : "Guys, guys, guys."

L : "All right, you cheeky f*ck." (to Colin)

S : "Things are getting a little too heated in here."

This exact moment particularly struck me.

The acting was so good, the emotions so sincere that the first time I saw this scene I had to pause it (because I felt really uncomfortable)

For me, it was 'young Seanie' who expressed himself here, not the adult man, look and tell me if it was not a fucking cry of distress from his "young self", he raised his voice when it was not necessary, like a child about to have a tantrum.

And for me the best detail of this scene : while Sean explains what solution he proposes for "settling differences" between Colin and Laszlo, just behind him, on the top of his shoulder, there is the head of the Devil Jersey, as if the demon on his shoulder whispered (bad) advice to him :

S : "Now, I'm gonna count down from three. When I say go, start swinging."

G : "Wait, what ?"

S : "First one to tap out, other one's head of the household."

Then he encourages Colin to make eye contact when he is clearly uncomfortable, the only one at ease is Laszlo.

Why force him to do eye contact ? So that Colin can see himself being punched in the face in high definition, wtf Sean

Laszlo was ready to hit Colin at that moment.

Only Guillermo reacted with GOOD SENSE ! And we are talking about one of the most unhinged characters of the show, even for him it was too much.

Since when ??! you encourage your best friend to beat up his "son" (as a parental figure), how messed up is that ?

And while Guillermo is holding them back on this shit, Sean exclaims "C'mon !" as if he's disappointed that it didn't happen.

Now we can ask ourselves why Sean would encourage his best friend to do something as stupid as hitting his child; I personally think it's because Sean has only developed unhealthy coping mechanisms (alcoholism, gambling)

It is implicitly nuanced that Sean was beaten up by his father on a regular basis, and probably in the face (no wonder he resisted to the brain scramblies, it was already pudding before/hj)

Let's face it, Colin would never have had time to react if Laszlo had decided to hit him.

I think that at this point, Sean wanted to be a spectator, he wanted to revisit unconsciously the violence that he himself had suffered when he was younger but this time from an external point of view.

After all Laszlo loves Colin Robinson deeply, and it is even Sean who reassured Colin about that during the Pine Barrens episode.

S : You know, you're lucky to have a guy like Lasz - taking care of you.

C : I guess. Sometimes I think that Lazzo doesn't like me so much.

S : Are you kidding me ? He loves you.

So if Sean saw Laszlo beating his son in front of his eyes, maybe he would have had the confirmation that his own father loved him, that his father beat him, but that it was a 'sign of love' in the end.

Sean never learn to communicate properly (hence the dysfunctional marriage with his wife) and when he had to argue with his father, it ended in violence (with fists)

Sean was forced at a very young age to take on a role that he wasn't supposed to be, in this case the fight that was supposed to take place between Colin and Laszlo was to determine who would be "head of the household."

Colin here is a teenager, he should not have all the responsibilities expected of an adult, but it seems that Sean at the same age had to undergo it (he wasn't allowed to watch PBS, at 14 he killed his first deer (let him jerk off instead of forcing him to hunt srs 😭) , Sean seems to have never experienced a childhood that a 14yo is supposed to have.

At a minimum he had the decency to say "First one to tap out" indicating that if Colin gave up and didn't want to fight anymore, he at least had a way out. I doubt Sean had that same chance, and I think he must have been knocked out many times.

Sean's response to problems is usually to give up or violence (e.g. when he threatens Guillermo "to ream him" after he thought he made a homophobic remark)

Sean is deep down emotional but has never been able to express his emotions in a healthy way, seeing Lasz's love and attachment to teen Colin, he saw before his eyes what he missed during his childhood to build himself psychologically.

In reality, he is not inclined to violence, he even hoped that Baby Colin would only be violent towards walls :

The only times Sean almost cried were when he offered the Jade necklace to his wife :

[...] talking about his favorite movie series which is probably the only valid excuse he has for crying as a 'real masculine man yk', not supposed to be fragile or to show emotions :

He was a neglected and abused child and I think that during this scene he almost indirectly succeeded in repeating the cycle of abuse he suffered from, but by projection this time.

So I just wonder, if Colin had been knocked out by Laszlo (without having the time to "tap out"), how Sean would have reacted afterwards.

Seeing with an outside eye himself (teen Colin) lying on the ground.

Would he have been angry at Laszlo, at himself, at Teen Colin for not being strong enough ?

The thing with ‘what if it works? Is it the end of buddie?’ is that how could they possibly top everything about buddie for FIVE seasons with someone people barely know. Let’s say the storyline could be good, but the organic chemistry they have yet to replicate with any LI. It MIGHT work for a while for people who just care about Buck kissing a man and don’t care about Eddie though.

Yeah, the chemistry has been a blessing and a curse (for fans and Tim, surely, lol). Buddie became Buddie because of the way Ryan + Oliver hit it off that first day, in the first scenes we would end up seeing them in together. But both characters being men who were supposed to be straight took the new ship potential off the table. (As we've said many times, if the new firefighter brought in was a woman, it'd have been a no-brainer. And the audience would've gladly supported that relationship after watching Abby break Buck's heart.) So instead of writing a clear-cut love story, a slow burn that has the audience wondering when they're gonna finally kiss, the people involved in planning their trajectory have to explore deeper feelings in subtle ways, ie Buck wanting to go rescue Eddie underground and Hen knowing that Buck would die down there with Eddie if he couldn't bring them both back up. I really feel for everyone that cares about these characters and wants to see their friendship turn into something more. (I think anyone who knows me knows how I feel about the Chris and his two dads.) But I also feel for Tim and the people that work on the show who are able to see what we've seen from the beginning; just knowing what I know through my years of experience as a viewer, and craving queer stories when the options weren't only limited, but nonexistent, I have to believe what's gone on behind the scenes and whatever may happen in the future (if it doesn't go the way our fandom hopes it will) is more complex than "Well, if the actors wanna do it, I don't see the problem." You want to assume times have changed because "it's 2024 wtf", but you can't make other people see what they don't want to see.

wow, okay, this took me a while. in my defence, i had a LOT of household chores, okay?

now, let's begin. i do wish tumblr had a thread system like twitter, but this works too. be ready for loads of thoughts about the episode (i just finished watching ep. 01 and it's already august 3rd lol).

"start getting ready” I hear my mom say from outside my door soon having her footsteps walk away. “I will” I said as I went to my closet and picked out my clothes. Tonight was the night I had a dinner party with ranboo, his family aka the host and other kingdoms from across the nations. Prince ranboo at that. We would always hang out and were pretty close with each out, practically inseparable. On the other hand, ranboos parents wished we were separated, ranboo’s parents never liked me since they saw me grow up and I didn't understand why but got over it after a while.

You finished buttoning your shirt and made your way out the door. You make your way to the front of your kingdom where both your parents can be seen in the ride waiting for you. Your mom motioned you in a rude manner with her hand to get in already so you complied and quickly got in sitting next to your father. “You better hope we aren't late because of you” your mom scoffed, giving you a stern look. All you could was awkwardly smile and nod your head, “it won't happen again”

After what felt like hours you made it to the whole event. You watched out the vehicle's window ranboo with his parents there looking like he was greeting everyone with his parents. Your butler opened the vehicle's door, you and your family stepped outside and your mom and dad immediately made their way to ranboos parents. You followed behind staying behind your parents and noticed ranboo looking at you a bit red, thinking it was the heat since it was a bit hot. You just gave him a little wave. Soon enough everyone went inside making you and your parents separate as they went to go talk to other people and you just stood near the drinks.

You were observing the crowd of people until you heard what sounded like a crash of glass making you turn your head. “WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU THAT YOU KEEP TREATING THEM LIKE SHIT BUT THEIR PARENTS LIKE GODS '' it was ranboo. You walked closer to the scene in the now completely silent ball room. You saw ranboo standing there with true anger in his eyes as his parents stood there shocked. By the looks of it he dropped his drink out of anger as well. Before his parents could react he ran out of the ballroom. Everything was silent for a few more seconds but you didn't care you walked right out that ballroom going to check on ranboo.

You knew exactly where he went, the flower field, you and Ranboo always hung there and it was his favorite spot to be at. With your correct guess you saw ranboo standing there looking at the sky, “you ok?” By breaking the silence you scared ranboo a bit making him quickly turn his head, “oh, yeah” you walked up to him and stood next to him. “Thanks for protecting me” he was obvious he was talking about you during that fight so you felt honored, “it was nothing” he chuckled looking at you. You both looked at each other with the moon light shining on each other. “y/n..I like you..” ranboo said, looking at you with a sad nervous expression.

You smiled in return and kissed him under the stars. Panicked but relieved in a way he kissed back. As you both parted lips still inches apart you mumbled, “i thought it was just me” before pacing your lips together once more.

Welp trial 2 is off to a *great* start

details under the cut so I don’t accidentally spoil the trial

-A couple secrets got confirmed in this one! which makes me sad : (

-Whit’s mom is dead : ( Ace has an eating disorder : ( Eden : ( just Eden is sad

(this kind of makes me feel like that the world of DT is not very lgbt friendly, as Nico was constantly bullied for being non-binary and Eden worries her sexuality is going to ruin her friendships, I mean the DT world clearly has problems as shown in the backstories of several characters and in the bonus videos, even when the Tragedy happened because of the messed up expectations of society (teenagers being pressured to be the best of the best), society still didn’t change : ()

that was probably a little off topic but if we get bonus videos for the dead people in this chapter it’ll probably worldbuild a bit more

-Also I am 100% certain David lied, not bc he said he got a dead person’s secret but we can guess Xander’s secret if you’ve seen the bonus videos, I mean it could be that it’s both Xander’s secret (Teruko having no idea what her secret is and the remaining few are kinda morbid), but David lying seems accurate

-And it was basically confirmed Nico did try to murder Ace, and J making a VERY good point that it’s something they have to live with, even if they didn’t kill Ace

-Them talking about the rules (Arei potentially being complicit in her own murder) is interesting, makes me think it’s something that’ll apply to future cases

-Speaking of that I love how Veronika is casually like “oh yeah I’m keeping my secrets to pan out the drama” like she has 0 fear of death and is just here for the chaos

-Everyone’s reaction to the murder secret being “wtf which one of you is a murderer?!?!” XD

-And of course the dead students having a presence still, (I repeat my statement of not taking a drinking game every time the dead cast are brought up, your liver will die), it makes seeing their portraits in the trial room more... spooky? I’d say? Like they def aren’t forgotten, not even dying in canon will prevent you from having effect on the plot, you will haunt the narrative

-Xander def haunts the narrative the most since David pinned the mastermind secret on him

-I kinda figured the ep would end on the note, I’m dying to see what that note is

-Also I wonder if it has to do with the Arei/J switch theory going around. Am I 100% percent certain it’s true? not really. Do I think it’s possible? Yes. Do I think there’s a lot behind the scenes we haven’t seen due to Teruko not being involved it things? Y E S

-Teruko’s actions are gonna hit her in the face as her removing herself from situations causes her to not be able to get all the information or even be able to help out, like she’ll probably slowly start trusting the others after this, since they’ve given no reason for her to distrust them

-Esp Eden, she’s trying her best over here

-Also omg I love the voicing for the nonstop debates, and the details of the trial look so awesome <3
