so basically to put it lightly im really incredibly regular and ordinary but anyway

i'd imagine the murder is something constantly lingering in the back of his mind, since the guilt is always gnawing at his conscious. i think he would have nightmares about it actually, where nothing changed from the original incident, its just the sudden moment of him realizing someone's caught him doing illegal activities, and then instead of maybe getting away with a good excuse, he panics and kills a man (was it even panic? or is that just an excuse to get back at the landlord that made his life even harder?)

though, i think a bout of sleep deprivation could have the same effect where the memory just rushes forward out of nowhere. and he's entirely convinced he's covered again with blood that isn't his and he needs to get rid of the evidence before anyone notices because god. if someone notices all hell will break loose (though it would be deserved if he's a murderer, wouldnt it)

he probably over the sink for way longer than he should, desperately clawing the bloodstains off his hands yet working himself up more when the blood from his own injuries starts mixing with the water.

and then once emil comes in all rationality goes out the window because out of everyone that had to see this, it couldnt be emil. he tries to play it off as a usual thing, despite the obvious steam coming from the water

and emil looks concerned which only serves to panic him more, and this is where he starts to be a little unnerving. he knows emil said something but he couldnt hear what- it mustve been an accusation, though. at this point hes incredibly stressed and the words dont come out right and he can feel tears in his eyes because he has to be believed, or else he'll lose one of the few people who cares about him. it looks like emil might be believing him, since emil went to move him out of the bathroom, so he keeps talking and explaining despite how sore his throat is becoming and how much he's coughing until all of the sudden his voice doesnt work anymore and all that comes out are hoarse, terrible sounding coughs that seem to worsen as the tears fall incessantly.

at some point the coughing finally ends he notices emil is looking at him and holding a roll of bandages. as if asking for permission. and andrew isnt in the position to deny him anything, even if he thinks it'd be a waste of time in the end so he lets emil wrap them and help andrew steady his hands enough for him to put his gloves back on while mumbling quiet reassurances to him and once everything is done he feels emil leaning against him in an embrace that theyve been in so many times. an embrace he still wants more of despite how selfish that is

so he lets himself have this for now. and he realizes that he was just saved from the evil that plagued him by this man, even though he absolutely didnt deserve the divine treatment he was just given, and he nearly breaks down again because the weight against him is so welcoming and nonjudgmental and its all he could ever ask for at the moment

Dead on main au where

1. Danny wears a 1/2 face mask as a ghost to make sure his parents don’t find out who he is

2. The decision to start wearing the mask was a spontaneous thing that happened at school and he stole the mask from his high school’s theater department

3. Danny moves to Gotham as soon as he turns 18 on a scholarship but it doesn’t include dorm fees.

4. Danny hides out in an abandoned theater (the attic is surprisingly well insulated!!!!) and spends most of his time there as a ghost because he can’t anywhere else in Gotham.

5. An injured Red hood limps his way into one of his favorite old hideouts (the theater obviously), and promptly passes out from blood loss with the hazy image of a masked glowing spector as the last thing he sees.

6. He wakes up enough to hear soft reassurances of safety and feel cool hands carry him with no noticeable strain.

7. Jason comes to in a giant nest of blankets with his wound neatly stitched up, a killer headache, and a sticky note wishing him well/ promising the writer didn’t leak under the helmet (a fact Jason is well aware of considering his head is very much unexploded)

8. Jason tries to leave but he passes out again and is honestly too tired to try again when he comes back around. So he just…falls asleep.

9. Jason wakes up again to warm food on an old silver tray and an empty room, not knowing Danny is watching him from the corner to make sure he doesn’t fall again. Not that Danny wouldn’t catch him again, but he’d prefer it didn’t happen at all.

In short, Danny plays elusive nurse to the dangerous red hood while Jason sees a literal ghost that lives in an abandoned theater wearing a phantom of the opera mask and decides he’s found a keeper. Clearly he appreciates the drama.

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

there's still breakfast, but sometimes instead of coffee or tea, there's a book that you mentioned you'd been wanting to read, there's an origami crane folded out of the napkin with such excruciating care it almost breaks your heart, there's a note written in his sloppy, slanted handwriting that he dreamt of you last night and couldn't figure out if he wanted to wake up to tell you or keep sleeping not to break the fragile dream

and the "i love you"s become something else too -- they become "how did you sleep, love?" and "i knew you'd be craving that" and "c'mon, drink up -- there's more where that came from" and "tell me about your dreams" and "funny, those sound an awful lot like my dreams too".

it'd solidify, this kind of love -- his kind of love -- into something much quieter than anyone might suspect. this kind of love that simmers, the kind of love that curls around you like a hot bath, that draws you in

it's the way he always saves the wishbone whenver he cooks up any kind of bird, how he always waits till everything is done and the kitchen's all cleaned up before pulling you toward the counter, to the tiny little bone with it's winged flanges, him holding one end, the other offered out like a promise (or a wish)

there’s something so adorable to me about the way sokka and suki both strive to be more like the other. like, when sokka boasts that he’s the best warrior in his village, both he and the audience know that this is only technically true. whereas suki actually is the greatest warrior in her village, and a great warrior period. and sokka, who of course knows that he is inexperienced and wholly untrained, is eager to learn from her and openly admires her. after all, she’s essentially the very embodiment of everything he always wished he could be, as a warrior and as a leader. and the fact that she doesn’t have to be a man to be a great warrior is even more affirming, because this revelation provides him with the opportunity to transcend the fixed roles he has always pressured himself to conform to.

conversely, suki is inspired to expand her reach and explore the world upon meeting sokka. she had always believed that staying in her village and defending her island would forever be her first priority, but then she sees sokka’s willingness to grow and adapt and expand his perspective beyond the limited paradigms within which he has been inculcated, and his open-mindedness rubs off on her; she decides to travel the world, to expand the possibilities of what she knows and better herself through the growth of learning. had sokka been more stubborn, perhaps suki would have simply remained in her village her entire life, convinced that there is no point in expanding one’s horizons. had suki been less skilled, perhaps sokka would have never changed his mind and found the opportunity for freedom in what lies beyond purely patriarchal dogmas.

suki is an incredible warrior and leader, and so sokka takes the opportunity to learn from her so that he may emulate her. sokka is an incredible scientist who is constantly growing as a person through exploration and discovery, and so suki decides to follow in his footsteps so that she may also reach her full potential. and when they find each other again, sokka is already a far better warrior and leader through her instruction, and suki has already helped far more people than she would have by simply sitting around her isolated village for the rest of her life. and they keep finding each other, and learning from each other, and becoming better people individually through their partnership. they are similar enough to speak the same language fluently and intuitively, but just different enough that their respective virtues synergize in a way that makes them a perfect unit. by providing the other with a model to which they can aspire, they help each other grow.

q!tubbo doesn't feel prepared to raise a kid, HE'S ONLY JUST STOPPED BEING A KID HIMSELF!! but he will try. for sunny, he will try his best. he wants to give her the world, to make sure she always knows she is first choice, that she is loved and adored and cared for.

bc q!tubbo never really felt that, and god forbid sunny ever feel the way he does. he will do his best to make sure she never wants for anything, that she is loved and knows it, and that she never feels like she's second place.
