About a week left in Europe and my homesickness is bad. Its not the basic comforts I miss but more so having someone to talk to. I really need to have a breakdown and cry but I can’t do that in front of my roommates. I really need to talk to someone about a situation and when I was about to yesterday with a friend I’ve made on the trip I just couldn’t find the words. I love traveling and I love to be away, but I miss being able to write and write and write and I miss my moms ability to fix everything.

I made a hard decision here (not so hard in the scheme of things) myself already with no imput from anyone but I just need my moms advice

Hey, I started reading Robin son of Batman because of your recommendation (I literally have a print of your post on my phone to not forget lol). Honestly? One of the best things I ever read!!!

Thank you for opening my eyes! Damian has been one of my favorite characters for over a year, but I didn't read/watch much of him because of school, life (and probably an executive dysfunction in the mix).

Maya is incredible. I loved her.

since the trailer for teen wolf: the movie just dropped, i feel like now is an excellent time to inform/remind everyone of the treatment of arden cho.

arden, who played the show’s only lead woc, was written off the show with zero warning - the excuse being that there wasn’t enough room for her storyline. in fact, she had been doing press saying she was excited to see what the next season would bring. she also had to announce this herself via her youtube and her character, who had been the main character’s love interest, didn’t even get a proper goodbye.

then, the teen wolf movie came around. you would think this would be an opportunity for kira to be treated better and finally get her ending, but no: arden cho was offered less than half the salary of her female counterparts to return.

so what did teen wolf do about this? they decided to replace her with another actress who would only be offered basic pay.

after the release of the trailer today, it’s become increasingly obvious that arden’s character kira was a crucial part of this movie. the movie brings back several ‘big bads’ that were introduced because of kira, the nogitsune and the oni. so why wasn’t arden offered equal pay? why make the mythology that was centered around your lead woc as the plotline for this film, but not treat her equally?

i’m begging everyone to not financially support this movie. if you're that desperate to watch it there are ways to do so without paying (i’ll even help you find a link if you need it!). but please, don’t sweep this under the rug. let this movie flop.

my main critique of yellowjackets is that the writers team would benefit from more lesbians. i mean this both in that more characters should be queer, but also that it’s baffling to me how often, particularly with the adult storylines, we are cutting back to and centering men on this show. i think it’s pretty obvious that the yellowjackets and their relationships to each other NEED to be the center of the show, but that feels a bit minimized when we are frequently focusing on the yellowjackets’ relationships to jeff or walter or travis or the fucking cops or dead adam! like what was the point of isolating the adult yellowjackets in the middle of the woods FINALLY together if all the men were going to invade the reunion before it got anywhere interesting anyways? WHY are we bothering to talk about them, when there is YEARS of betrayal and sisterhood and jealousy and regret and longing to unpack with them together?

He’s next to Mellisa, who hasn’t been able to stop crying since she got the news. Stiles’ dad had organized the whole thing, talking with the funerary home and picking up the coffin and the arrangements. He’d only asked Melissa what she wanted on the headstone.

Raphael had showed up the day after. For the first time in his life, he’d looked a mess, hair everywhere and clothes wrinkled as he stormed into the house asking what had happened to his son, tears already gathering in his eyes before he even got a look at Melissa’s face. Stiles hadn’t made fun of him. Stiles hadn’t said anything at all. Raphael sits on Melissa’s other side now, and she grips his hand tight enough it turns white. He hasn’t been back for five years.

God, Scott hadn’t seen his had for five years, and now he’s dead. Scott’s dead.

Stiles thinks it still hasn’t sunk in. He’s in the middle of his best friend’s funeral - it’s closed casket because his body was so mangled up that the EMPs could barely recognize him. Stiles had heard his dad on the phone with one of his deputies talking about it, before he’d realized just whose body they were talking about - and it still hasn’t clicked that Scott won’t be coming out of his casket, that this isn’t some kind of sick practical joke for getting him out of bed the night before school started.

Stiles is not crying. He hasn’t cried once since hearing the news. His dad is crying, sitting on his other side. Scott’s like a second son to him.

Was. Scott was like a second son to him. Was because he’s gone now. Because he’s dead.

Scott’s dead.

His best friend since preschool is dead. His brother is dead. The kindest, most caring person in the world is dead. Stiles goaded him into going to the preserve to look for half a dead body - and God, he’s such an asshole. A dead body? What was he even thinking? - and now Scott doesn’t even get to show his face at his own funeral because whatever killed him barely left any of him to bury.

If only he’d stayed. If only he’d told his dad Scott was with him that night instead of leaving him there. But no, Stiles hadn’t wanted Scott to get grounded because he dragged him out of bed, so he’d kept quiet. Even when he’d seen the pair of red eyes and that— that thing in the corner of his eye. Stiles hadn’t said anything. He thought they’d laugh about it at lunch the next day.

Now Scott’s dead.

Scott is dead.

And Stiles knows exactly what did it.

(He’s going to fucking kill it.)

#dimension 20 #dimension 20 spoilers #d20 introductions #fhjy #fantasy high junior year #d20 fhjy #WOW dang. what a season #i'm glad the episode didn't end on like. as bleak of a note as it could have for the ratgrinders #being literal teens that were taken advantage of by adults that groomed them and all #was honestly REALLY obsessed by the implications of like how kipperlily's shatterstar was willing and the rest of her friends' weren't. #like there are so many fucking ways that could be interpreted #was she the last to go? was she the first? did she KNOW? was she complicit in it? did she do it by her own hand? what HAPPENED there? #i'm so obsessed. like holy fuck #also this is something vague i was hoping for but like- in the combat when ally said they wanted to go for oisin after he died at first #i was thinking of something like. that they might revive the ratgrinders whose shatter stars already left to have them rejoin the fight #on THEIR side for the purposes of saving the others? but that didn't happen and went on otherwise #i can't. fucking believe. that we got fucking blimey'd AGAIN. fucking insane #and now K2 canonically exists in the real world #fig has an army of inevitable automatons hunting her. fabian has a literal unborn nemesis. adaine has a wizard mom to kill. #senior year problems..... honestly i feel like the high level play this season was really fun to watch #and i think i'd really enjoy seeing a senior year too #what a season. i was IMMENSELY enjoying it for the majority of it that like Starkly dropped around eps 18 and 19 that left a bad taste #but i don't know. i feel like the finale managed to salvage some of that good that i'd really enjoyed over the course of the season #what a ride though‚ I did enjoy it a lot #see y'all next season!!

#My art #For the record I am not a medical professional and as far as I know AWS isn't even something you can be diagnosed with??? #It's so hard to describe what the two sensory hallucinations really *FEEL* like #Like the time one... You know how a dramatic slow motion scene looks like in an anime? #It's like that but if you made it a 60 fps interpolated version of it #It is an absolutely bizarre feeling #Meanwhile the hyper awareness and everything feeling intense feels like how a fisheye lens shot in an anime feels #No I could not be bothered to try to figure out how to draw that for this comic #For the record I haven't actually had those visual hallucinations since I was a small small child #Hell I don't even think I had any hallucinations in my teens at all like #The sensory ones just kinda started happening again in the past 7 years or so? #Also the swelling sensation I've only had once so far. Usually I get the hyper awareness sensation #(Also sometimes I get this intense feeling of swaying when I go to bed but that might not be an AWS thing??) #(Like there's other things that could make you feel like you're rocking on a boat when laying down so I didn't include that) #No I have never talked to anyone about these hallucinations because for the longest time I didn't know what they were #And they are like. Harmless. Like I'm 100% aware they're just strange sensations but not real at all #They last max 15 minutes if even that long and they happen like super rarely #Only once have I had the hyper awareness be SO INTENSE it made me feel distressed #So like. It doesn't really affect my life at all? So why bother with it? #Also IDK if I could even go to a doctor and ask about AWS and have them know what that even is #And even if I could as far as I know there is no treatment for it so like. Whatever #As long as I don't start having distressing hallucinations or visual hallucination's I'll be fiiiiiine
