Hiii this is your daily reminder that fanfic authors do what they do for free and get no monetary gain at all for hours of writing and sometimes years keeping up with a series and so unless the author specifically asks for critisim, dont give it. If you do, your an asshole :)

Authors can quite literally do anything they want to with their fic even if it doesnt fit your or the majority of the fandoms personal preferences.

#This includes but is not limited to #ocs #characters that you deem ooc #the speed of the plot #the ships used #quite literally anything negative you have to say about fics just keep to yourself #the reason i wrote my fics is because i enjoy the story im telling and i post it because there might be someone else who enjoys it too #i enjoy my characters and their relationships #i enjoy my ocs and how prevelant they are #i enjoy my plot timing #and i write when i can or feel like it so if it takes 6 months it takes 6 months #i do not care if you stop reading because the plot is taking too long or if i took too long to post #i dont write for peoples approval #dont get me wrong comments and asks and stuff are the best things in the world #and they definetly motivate people to post more #but thats not the goal #i dont even get a lot of hate comments or asks or anything #i think ive gotten like 3 in the 2 and a half years ive been posting #but it seems to be a trend recently to complain about how fic authors go about their stuff #like ive been seeing it A LOT #and its so dumb like no one is going to spend hours of unpaid time to curate to your specific wants get over yourself #thats what commisions are for!!! #if you want something specific commision your artists! #but especially the ooc thing. “i dont agree with your characterization on *whoever*” #I DONT CARE #people who read fanfic and offer unsoliciated critism are aweful istg #thats a good way to get an author to stop writing at all #this isnt aimed at anyone specific im just in a ranty mood #max thinks shes relevant #ao3

AHHHHH I LOVE THIS LINE AND FOR SO MANY REASONS ALREADY OMG! already starting off with dick and gene just YES. i feel we never see them in many scenes together, only passing gazes within the context of the story or well gene yelling practically at dick and harry in episode 5 - so i’m already living for this in so many ways aha!! and what could he possibly be asking about if it is a good idea?? curious very curious!! and AHAHA the seventh time, i have to admit i chuckled!! i love that!! this seems so fun, i love this line so much!! :)

Chapter 33 - A Helmet’s Shadow

For a second Death thought she looked quite like War, the fire in her eyes, the blood in her hands, the weapon fastened onto her shoulder, making the perfect little war machine War had always wished upon her. The only thing holding her back was the heart beating inside her very chest. For too long, War had let his heart lay to shallow for life to even trigger it again.

in this fic, along with my main oc natia, i focus heavily on the concepts and motifs of death and war almost as if they’re watching over natia and battling for her honor in a way - of course it’s more of a side idea but prevelant in her course of being with the easy men! this whole story starts with the idea of death and war making a pact and how initially they aren’t on very good terms, so there’s that and death comparing natia to war is a fascinating thing to write! i especially loved writing how she, herself, was almost like a little war machine as i describe she is basically a weapon, destined to destroy. but then we move to the comparison of how she still is not entirely war and still had a heart, which death consequently has as well. ah i could go on, definitely a favorite sentence of mine!! :)
