Y'know what surprise post it's Otacon time he's on my mind rn (I have had some of the songs I've assigned to him on repeat lately) pokemon au is back!! Og mgs, mgs2 and mgs4

BUT YEAH!! POKEMON!!! he's one of my -if not the- most developed character au-wise in regards to pokemon and teams and things so yuh yuh under cut my insane person rambles

Okay SO we are going by game.

Mgs

- Porygon and Magnemite: Very straightforward the hacker/engineer pokemon duo!! He got them in college. His buddies his pals

- Sobble: actual plot here! It was a gift by Sniper wolf, who had Intelleon as her main pokemon. It is very much like him in the first game (cries and can turn invisible, in this au he got the camo gear idea from Sobble!!) and is perked upon his shoulder always. Also the water type is a sad little connection to the.pool. yeah. Anyways, he leaves it behind after leaving shadow Moses cuz he isn't a crybaby anymore!! Character growth!! The Sobble is okay don't worry about it

- Venonat: in au-lore. Originally assigned cuz I felt they looked alike, also a nocturnal pokemon to accompany him! But it was a pokemon he saved from being attacked by wolf's mightyenas (stand-in for wolves) it helps him sneak around shadow Moses thanks to its enhanced sight!

Mgs2 (now we get more into my own lore)

- Porygon2 and Magneton: Evolved!! Thanks to philanthropy that is, now they battle alongside snake and Otacon and are key helpers in all things electricity. Magneton is especially key in destabilizing electrical power sources

- Patrat (Shiny): Shiny bcs the color scheme felt cuter, but aside from that its here to match the 'eyes in the sky' role Otacon has now. A little sentinel! It keeps guard if accompanying snake or Otacon in missions.

- Swadloon: its all cozy and cooped up like. Like a nerd. But beside that, and it's role in the future (aka MGS4) it's main function is to sew up any torn garments, and helped Otacon make the new sneaking suit.

- Joltik: you know the bug things set to record conversations in spy movies? Make it an actual bug. Also it eats electricity so its a rlly good pal to have on the computer.

- Helioptile: It's actually a power generator!! Solar powered friend and I'd feel it would've been caught while moving around for philanthropy

* Venonat: He's still there!

Mgs4

Porygon2 & Magneton: Same ol' guys

Galvantula, Watchog, Heliolisk, Venomoth: They all evolved! Even if they spend most of their time in the nomad, Otacon took the time to train all of them after Snake's health started deteriorating just in case they needed to protect Sunny.

Leavanny: Honorable and separate mention! The nanny pokemon and it evolves by friendship. Evolved not long after Sunny arrived into his life, as the pokemon category implies, it takes care of Sunny as well!! Main caretaker whenever Snake and Otacon need some backup in that regard

Rotom: you know Rotom dex? Think metal gear Rotom... Rotom gear. But it's the mk.II instead. Rotom powered! The little dude also helps with every day appliances with it's usual forms

Beheeyem: It matches his sleeker, cooler look. That concept art with the coat? It's the cooler nerd pokemon

Porygon-Z: Used to be Emma's, and it ends up being the last puzzle piece in FOXALIVE in this au. She gave it to him before, y'know, spoilers but dying and all dat!

Well that's it!! I love Otacon he's so me I'm so him. Nerds with big glasses... Hopefully if I get the energy I'll do more deep dives like these but tbh for Snake his team is p static. Whatever !!! Ty guys for listening gn !!

putting this here more for myself than anything. i wanna be able to look back at it in a year and see how its changed. explanations for each section under the cut

ship i loved at first sight: tara x piper. i don't know what the ship name is. taper? pira? pira seems nicer lol. anyway, tara used to be my favourite brawler (and is still up there in my top 5) and i think the first time i saw tara x piper fanart was on reddit. it was by Xpyray and i swear to god ive never fallen in love with a ship faster. their art is so fucking good and they dont rlly draw brawl stuff anymore but i still follow them cuz their art is so so so pretty (please go follow them if youre reading this). anyway so yeah thats how tara x piper became my fav ship.

ships i initially didn't like: rico x piper, shelly x colt imma be fr at the start i didn't really Get these ships. but after watching some of the official animations and learning more of the lore, i started to appreciate these ships more. i don't love them or anything but they can be cute

ships i don't like anymore: sandy x nita, leon x jessie, sandy x leon there is no real reason for this other than the fact that i simply stopped liking them as i grew up. as i was making this i realised that when i was younger i used to like the ships with the kids/teens more, but now i'm 17 and i'm just not interested in them anymore. i guess thats what happens when you grow up lol. these ships are still cute, but i just don't engage with them anymore

favourite popular ships: mandy x chester, fang x buster so a bit of background, i actually quit brawl stars for a while, i think after the gale brawl pass. i dont really remember why, but its probably because i just got bored of the game lol. i think that also played into why i'm no longer interested in the same ships as before. anyway, i came back this year during the bizarre circus brawl pass and accidentally fell in love with these two ships. honestly, i'm not even entirely sure why i fell in love with these two ships in particular. chester definitely caught my eye when i came back to the game because a) i love clowns b) i love a good troll c) i love the random XD energy chester has and d) he has super interesting & fun game mechanics. i have no interest in mandy really but then i saw One suggestive mandy x chester fanart that went hard af and suddenly i was on board lmao. on the other hand fang and buster were two characters that i took some time to fall in love with, but now they're my favourites lol it's so strange. i really don't know how it happened.

favourite rarepair: amber x maisie i was looking at a diagram of all the trios so far because i was brainstorming ideas for who to include in a fanfic and as i was looking at it, suddenly it Clicked in my mind that amber x maisie would go hard af. like think about it. overconfident fire entertainer who gets so swept up in performances that she forgets about safety x safety coordinator with a fire extinguisher for an arm who secretly likes being in dangerous situations? come on!!!! im surprised more people havent thought of this pairing cuz as soon as it clicked for me it seemed like such an obvious pairing to do. but then again they've never interacted in any animation/promo material/etc so i guess it's not a pair people would just think of without prompting. but it's so fucking good!!!! more people need to get in on this ship.

controversial ship: none here's the thing. i don't know any controversial ships that i can see myself shipping. the most controversial one i know is probably edgar x colette but i see them as siblings so i don't ship it nor do i engage with fanart of them. edgar and colette ships in general are probably controversial seeing as both of them don't have canon ages and it's vague enough that people are always talking about whether they're adults or minors. but i personally see both of them as older teens so i don't ship them with anyone. (to me, they're too old to hang out with the kid brawlers but also too young to hang out with the adult brawlers. it's weird because there's no other brawlers where i see them as teens, so in my mind edgar and colette both have 0 shipping potential)

ships i want to become canon the most: amber x maisie, fang x buster they're my current favourite ships. what else to say.

comfort ship: fang x buster i think about them All the Fucking Time. lowkey i started to project on fang a bit just cuz i like him so much. i don't even know why or how i started liking him this much but he's my favourite brawler now and it's horrible. i think the seal in the coffin was @/giveittomegay's fanart of them. THEY'RE SO FUCKING CUTE. like omfg. confident, charismatic chinese immigrant who just arrived at starr park x introverted insecure white guy who doesn't know how to approach others. slowburn where they become closer through working at the cinema and buster realises he's fallen in love basically immediately but fang hasn't realised his own sexuality (has had crushes on girls before so always assumed he was straight) and doesn't realise he's in love with buster until maisie straight up tells him. fang's confidence means he jokingly flirts with buster all the time because he thinks it's funny to tease the guy and make him flustered but doesn't realise buster gets flustered because he likes fang. fang is fucking stupid. also, i think using fang x shelly here as a conflict plot point would be so good. like, fang seeing a pretty girl and approaching her, flirting with her, etc. i like to think fang is dense as fuck and would genuinely believe he's in love with shelly despite buster occupying 90% of his thoughts because his thought process would be something along the lines of "oh, i just think about him a lot cuz he's my best friend, i'm sure this is all regular, normal bff things". and buster just fucking dying inside but not saying anything because he thinks it's none of his business and he shouldn't interfere in fang's love life. MAISIE WATCHING ALL THIS HAPPEN AND WANTING TO MURDER BOTH OF THEM FOR BEING SO DENSE. like ohhhhhh my god there is so much potential here it's fucking insane. side note: fang doesn't have anything against gay people. i like to think maisie x amber comes way before fang x buster, so fang knows gay people exist and like he is perfectly fine and comfortable being around them, he's just so stupidly dense that he doesn't realise HE is gay (or more specifically bi). he also assumes buster is straight because default sexuality and whenever fang makes jokes based on this assumption buster never corrects him. because buster is a pussy. god. i want to write this fanfic so bad but i'm so fucking bad at writing dialogue it's insane.

ships that deserve more attention: amber x maisie, brock x bibi, barley x bull, max x janet LET ME COOK HERE OKAY. amber x maisie i already explained above. brock x bibi (i call them bibrock) is because it's noted in bibi's bio that she's secretly a huge nerd and i think it would be super cute for her to have a bf who she can indulge in nerdy and geeky shit with. to me they're both massive comic book fans who become close by playing all the superhero video games together before branching out to other games. they're console gamers btw and they get SUPER competitive whenever they're playing against each other. but they also do play coop games where they work together. usually brock is the one who does a lot of theorycrafting and tries to minmax his grind so he can get all the resources in the most optimal and time efficient way possible, whereas bibi prefers just going into fights and wrecking havoc lol. barley x bull is because they're both restaurant owners/servers (barley has his bar, bull has his diner) and i think they would bond over shitty customers and interesting food/drink recipes. they're both also familiar with having fights break out in their establishment and are fully capable of shutting fights down, even if it means getting their hands dirty. they think they're on opposite ends of the spectrum but they're actually more similar than they realise. for sure a very slowburn romance (especially because i think bull would be denial about liking a fucking robot lmfao) max x janet is because they're both celebrity entertainers. yeah, that's it. no but seriously i see max as someone who puts up an outgoing persona in public and is generally a very hyper, high energy person but at the same time, she tends to keep people at a distance because she's scared of intimacy. before janet, her closest friends are surge and meg. surge kind of Knows something is up with her because every time he tried to ask about her past she clammed up and gave noncommittal responses. he worries about her but doesn't know what to do about it so he just tries to make her happy in the present. meg is a kid so she doesn't realise anything is wrong lol. hanging out with meg and surge makes max happy and she considers them family, but she still has a wall up around her true self. janet is the one who is finally able to help max come out of her shell and address her past trauma. it also helps that max thinks janet is very pretty and desperately wants to kiss her. this is canon btw don't question me.

Hi...soo this is me talking abt the current Dragon Tears that I obtained. Yesterday I got Dragon tear #5 and today I managed to get #6 and #7 and...yeah. I was originally planning to hold on my thoughts until I completed the Gerudo Region but what I saw in those memories I have things to say and idk how long it would take me to complete it so I'm starting with the dragon tear memories. (also sadly no in-game/cutscene screenshots this time around cause I kept forgetting and didn't took any </3)

So Tear #5 we got more to "know" abt Ganondorf. Where he apologizes abt what he did in Tear #4 to Rauru and Sonia. And I think I'm just going to share what I said last night abt it

Sooo I wasn't expecting this type of writting with Ganondorf. I obviously sound very emotional in these messages cause I was heading straight to sleep after I got the cutscene, I don't think totk Ganondorf is worse than oot Ganondorf. I think he's a different kind of badly written meanwhile with OoT I can cut him some slack where he's technically the first Ganondorf from an old console game yada yada. Also worldbuild of Zonai?? No? Ganondorf is just gonna casually throw that dialogue that Zonai were once gods or smth like that and never mention it again ok. And like I said in those messages I think what Ganondorf said abt Rauru marrying Sonia was so ughhhhhhhhhh like really? We're gonna make him racist cause you couldn't add depth to a villain really? And his motives abt wanting to become king is just...that he has no motives he has no reason on why he wants to do it just cause he's EVILLLL and he has EVILLL intentions OOOOOOOOOOO like fuck off. How is it possible that nintendo was able to give him depth in Wind Waker and then water down his character to "ummm cringe that YOU as a Zonai married a Hylian Woman you're a beta 🤓" Nintendo says, "we don't want people to like him or find him interesting he's the bad guy! make him say something racist and give him no clear motive on why he wants to do what he wants to do he's EVILLL you're not supposed to root for him!!"

But sure give him no motive on why he wants to do this other than being evil. Nintendo is honestly better off writing comedic villains with dark lore (Kohga) I knew that they would never reach WW Ganondorf levels of good but from what im seeing like wooowww

anyways to add a glimpse of hope Tear #6 came clutch w Sonia and Rauru. I loved the dynamic they both have with Zelda they're like parents to her...wah and I simply adored how Sonia mentions Link like a mother asking for who's that cute boy you've been talking to? and Rauru being so curious to meet him. This memory was so cute I would love to wish blissful of this family living happily.

Final memory I currently got is Tear #7 and ohhhhh this is the one that just drained me.

So Sonia dies, I was honestly like surprised or shocked idk I was not expecting it good ol gotcha moment. and YES I SAW GANONDORF'S NASTY SMILE THAT ACTUALLY FREAKED ME OUT LIKE EW

AND I was sad that we're not going to see Sonia anymore rlly loved her I was hoping for more of her as a character. But yeah I was in shambles when that cutscene happened, like once I got the cutscene I just closed the game cause I just wanted to process what happened.

And that is all I have, sorry if I sound more pessimistic and negative this time around. Just realizing where they are going with Ganondorf just put me into the 10 stages of grief. Looking forward more to the story and the characters just not Ganondorf

Okay so uhh one time I was looking for someoscguy lore and I found a post vaugley saying "this account is someoscguy's friend" albiet it seemed like someoscguy just interacted with them no interactions back from the person. And like that account had 2 very funny takes

First one wasn't about directly about II, and it went "Why do all female characters need to become moms it's so sexists yada yada" and I know it was vauge posting abt II Test Tube, which... No?

Test Tube being a motherfigure was a part of her character since season 2 with the shimmer egg... Like the reason she treats Bot as her child isn't because they randomly decied to she was a mom, I personally see her treating Bot the way she feels like she should have treated shimmer. Again that dosen't mean that her and Fan have acctually good characters/characteraztion in season 3 but I'm not againts them trying to be parents again.

And then I saw a post being like "II bad! Unlike other indie animation shows such as a horrid henry" and It made me laugh my ass off. Not because they picked horrid henry that shows a banger but because they labeld it as a "Indie animation project"

Not all media cirtisim for things you dislike/ things that have flaws is objective/Good. Not every single thing you dislike about III is writing flaw. I want to write an IF but I'm having trouble doing the most basic thing: coming up with ideas.

Do you have any advice you could give to someone who has never written anything in their life but wants to start doing it? How did you come up with the idea for Infamous? What is it like to write an IF?

(I'm asking anonymously because I have social anxiety hehe)

HMMM I think if you really have nothing, searching up prompts is a great way to start. Just one sentence can really get your creative brainwaves going and it might turn into something you had no idea you were capable of. Just searching up the #prompts tag will get you a lot of nice options. I find I can think up a lot of ideas through writing prompts or even OC tag games. Many people construct full plots and worlds around one single character.

For me though, I get my best ideas through reading and writing other works. I mentioned before that I got the idea for Infamous while watching music-centered movies like Coyote Ugly, Scott Pilgrim, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. It started with: "now i want to write a Band story" to "okay but what would that story entail?" every story needs a goal or you'll be writing aimlessly with no end in sight. So it came pretty naturally: "what about a battle of the bands?" It has a clear end goal: "to win."

Now, it's not a very original idea, but no ideas are original anymore. It's the execution that makes it so. That's where the characters and the storylines come in. You can sort of put the ROs in ready-made tropes: the ex, the band manager, the idol and that's a good baseline to start with, but they can't be just that. So: "the ex who is competing against you, the band manager that doesn't want to romance you, the idol who is in a messy marriage." And then you build upon that.

I would say don't force it. Play around with prompts and some tropes and start off small, like creating a character you want to see on page. Or want to write. Then see if you can build your lore/plot/story around that one character. What do they do? What do they look like--are their clothes period specific? What does their daily life look like?

As for writing IF, I think it's so fun! There's an added level of investment in IF that you can't find in regular books because much of the story is through the choices of the reader. I will say that learning to code is a doozy and I'm such a noob that there's many things I don't know, but learning is part of the fun haha and the great thing is that people understand that WIPs are WIPs--nobody is expecting Shakespearean level works straight out the gate. So don't feel too pressured to write anything amazing first time...you can always fix it later!

No, but really. The real people, real events was a huge appeal to me. They had Niccolò Machiavelli implying Il Principe was about Ezio. They explained the "why the fuck was Robespierre's jaw shot off" with Elise being a bad bitch and responding to "I'm never telling" with "[gunshot] then write". You had a teenage Suleiman the Magnificent in Revelations. It was just fun to go "hey, there's this historical event that has some confusion surrounding it, you know what would be super fun? Secret societies."

And I love fantasy!!! But AC is not a fantasy game to me :< if they made a new IP, it'd be proper, I'd love to play, but this way it just seems like they're only muddling the established lore with what would otherwise probably be a very fun and interesting new world. Related to the Tsumugi thing but before engstars was released I wasn’t too concerned about ppl not knowing ! lore bc u can technically enjoy !! without it but then I froze up in bed two days ago bc I realized that nobody would know about meteor impact, no one has read the main story, no one has read element, MILKY WAY, MARIONETTE, CHECKMATE. which isn’t essential reading but it rlly does expand your understanding of the characters and their growth (when akira decides that it matters, i hate that man). I saw someone say that eichi manipulated Tsumugi into following him which was endlessly funny like Tsumugi did all of that himself like he knew damn well what was happening. This was literally him watching it all go down.

I've grown 2 be much more of a picky eater over the years, more often then not I dislike more foods now than as a child (like veggies, most give me sensory issues now) But, I use 2 LOVE sweets as a kid (couldn't have candy or anything, diabetes and like- a "health" obessed father) So like the rare occasion I could I'd eat any and all, bit anymore a lotta stuff sweets wise I use 2 like just make me sick now or I simply find 2 sweet.

So, I kin WAY 2 many people, I like lowkey dress them change whole aspects of myself bc of them kinda way of kin. So there's a couple of major ones, also being the most at different times from earliest 2 now:

1. Puppet & Mangle from FNAF

2. Ticci Toby

3. Will Cipher

4. Jack-O' Valentine

I have like 50 kins, it's a lot- these are some of the biggest and most important 2 me tho (also honorary mention 2 Tim Wright from Marble Hornets, I love him sm- why is everyone a coward 2 make bitches fat honestly. Tim Sutton (the actor who played Tim Wright) is so fucking valid and like- thank u sir for ur contributions 2 the world- anyway yea-)

SO, These fictional characters are here for a multitude of reasons,

1. As already stated main host is a shape shifter of sorts, and by that I specifically mean their a mirror that's reflects and refracts, also a doll, meaning they often times just- heavily imprint on characters, and like they can usually sway of its just reflecting vs it altering who they are, they can't likd- choose- but I digress anyway- main host has like lore? way 2 much lore actually- but they're a fictive- its complicated as hell, but they're a fictive of Will Cipher, but they didn't know that originally and a took a HOT minute 2 figure that out, cuz originally the body was way 2 into FNAF, and with how the body is and processes things- robots? fucking dead children souls in robots? a whole mood. Massive mood- especially w/ Puppet being regreful/vengeful and Mangle not rlly being alive in the way everyone else way- very r/iam14andthisisverydeep or whatever but idc, it helped me get through trauma and life and made me happy also the music from the community slaps. So those are the main reasons for mangle & puppet, like the main host literally being a doll (who sometimes has robot limbs, and oops I forgot 2 mention theyre mute and blind- they like have a voice box they just don't always like using it and the blind thing is a whole fucking story-) but yea voice box, being all fucked up physically and mentally? mood 10/10 can't wait for the fnaf movie (Also why those 2 instead of any others is bc like- this was really early on- like what literally only game 2- so maybe 2017? oh my god I'm old- anyway slightly off topic but toy Bonnie is gender as hell)

Ok uhh- Ticci Toby- OH my god the things 2 say, I didn't even mention in the lady part but tics n twitching??? such a thing for us. Especially the host. They cry a lot and generally get overstimmed really easily- and idk what exactly causes it but boy do they tick and twitch, also he's how we found out were trans so oops- um- idk his backstory is a like a mood, we share a decent amount of disorders- and generally his fanon (and maybe canon idk or care, like fuck kastoway) are pretty much a vibe 2 how the main host was for a while- and 2 some degree still is, there's def other reasons tho, like he was the most similar and human in the fandom, he also has a lotta features they really enjoy (curly brown hair, freckles (depending) that like almost sickly white- OH also hachets??? hello??? and his mask??? gender as fuck. Wish I looked that good oh my god. There's just so many reason, he was one of the first pastas I fell in love with, one of the first really I ever even saw. He's like- bi polar like me and idk, I just really enjoy that. He's got enough backstory so that he has a general vibe but hcs can run wild, and still fit. I really hate how childish he's treated tho, I love him as a kin bc he's childish but also not? he's not mature in the slightest but he's not stupid and definitely can hold his own, with lots of character depth. Also his fear of Cars gets more and more relatable (ive been nearly in so many accidents I refuse 2 get a license)

In other news-

I want some of ur opinions on these points I’ve just- consumed from the lore like a slime.

Quackity is still a shapeshifter- but strictly for making examples and jokes- ((and I love his quote when he was dream- “hope I don’t end up in prison or I’ll get what I FUCKING DESERVE” ))

Quackity I also feel like now has just had an entire personality change- I think— he’s now rlly quiet and kept to himself- lil introvert in front of people like foolish and Fundy with his lil books. But in front of everybody else he’s just a fake business guy. Who’s just uncaring and will run his casino until it gets conquered- by the syndicate? Which I don’t think it will happen Bc quackity is a business- not a country anymore.

I think purpled is gonna have- a regret or redemption arc-

I think slime will definitely come back- maybe live in Quackitys machines so the house will always win.

I HOPE MEXICAN DREAM GETS INVOLVED-

And finally- I cannot wait for technos stream when it happens. Who knows what it could or will tie together- and I’m hearing speculation Michaelmcchill will be involved. And IM READY!

- I didn't know about Quackity hc of being a Shapeshifter, I see him more of a very good imitator, taking a lot of care in other persons being able to imitate they really well, to tone to physical tics. (Also the idea of Quackity carrying around dumb masks to imitate persons its a little bit funny. Not even good masks, just dumb ones, and when we see change his skin is more the person Pov's being able to visualize the person who Quackity is imitating.)

-People change, but not totally, we keep certain ticks and "manias". He only knows how to present himself better, how to sell himself to others. When to cry, when to smile. He's a bussiness man, he needs to look like a good man while being a motherfucker. He only build walls, he build masks to protect himself. I don't blame him. (jobs change people, they do. I'm talking by a person who knows a lot of people in law making, mostly people who end up working in a court room they end up arguing like if they we're in a court room, even outside of it. Quackity it's a bussiness man, he uses the defenses he learn in the job in his personal life, its normal.) Also, Quackity still is a very loving and caring person. He still has hope in himself, he's a man. He's Quackity. His face is new, and so his clothes, and cards, but it still snows in the desert.

-Also, Las Nevadas being more a bussiness than a country... It's a nation. It is, but its... It's like a dead one. A city build more to have people in and out quickly, not a city to stay. Not a house. Not at less now. Its Las Vegas really, who lives in Las Vegas? Who stays in a city that eats up to trow you out later? The lights, the fountain don't scream home, they scream fake riches, dreams, they embrace your sins. It's not a wall to protect you from the cold, it's a revolving door.

- I don't really know about the Alien to talk about him, but he seem a little bit guilty, or angry at less. He needs his own time. Give him some.

- Yes Slime will come back, but I don't know if he will find his way back to Quackity or others. Charlie is such a good storyteller that I can only expect the unknown. Good, this is the perfect moment to have a Charlie "things are going to get weird" arc. (I'm already afraid thinking about it--)

- I don't see how Mexican Dream would end up in las Nevadas? He doesn't have nothing lose there, if I remeber? He just wants his life back, he just wants it. With Dream out, maybe he will come back to try to protect Tommy again, who knows.

- AND, I WASN'T READY FOR THOSE STREAMS, OH MY BRAIN, MY BEAN, MY BEAN.
