omg... u will regret asking me abt shinee i love them SO much. im ignoring the fact taemin just showed up on my playlist (highly recommend all of the shinee members solo stuff!!! i can absolutely give recs for my fave from each member even tho minho has like two songs to him rn but theyre both good fdkhdshf)

i always say taemin is my bias (hes adorable AND funny like... king stop my expectations are too high-) but i think im truly ot5 because all of them are so important to me. they were the first kpop group i ever listened to forever ago (sherlock (clue + note) is a legend and i love her so much), and i think dropping off shortly after getting into them (which would have been around 2015 because it was the time view came out) and then picking them a little over a year ago was genuinely like... something that really helped me out of a shitty place + hurt because i had missed the news about jonghyun entirely. but even then, i think its made me appreciate him and everything he's done so, so much. i won't get sappy but i truly love jonghyun so much and i'm glad he's no longer hurting. it'll always piss me off when people reduce him down to his death and nothing else because he was such a good person.

moving on from that before i get too emotional... i genuinely just love shinee a lot. i watched one of the shinee world concerts (IV i think?) earlier this year and its amazing how talented they were and still are. shinee truly helped pave the way and inspired so many idols and i adore them. its also fun to just watch them interact, tbh. i don't genuinely ship anyone because i find that weird, but minkey as a (platonic) pair are my faves lmao they always bicker like an old married couple but you can tell that they do love each other and are genuinely close friends.

and jinki!!! onew my beloved!!! i love him so much. he has such a warm presence and GOD his vocals... i die every time... coincidentally love phobia just came up on my playlist lmao but still!! highly recommend listening to DICE if u haven't!! the entire album itself is good but the title track is soo good <3 i always feel like i forget he's the leader of shinee because they're all so close-knit, it feels like they're all on completely equal footing even if jinki is the one leading them.

i didnt rly get into my love for taemin but genuinely i adore him. he's so, so talented both vocally and dance-wise, i love to see the difference between his stage persona (typically his solo persona lmao taemin and his slutty slutty music... <3) when he's really just this very sweet catholic man who apparently only really interacts with his group mates and a few others outside of that. he's so funny and i honestly admire every live he did where he spoke english and messed up and accepted his mistakes? like. learning a language is hard enough, especially one as fucking weird as english, but he just seems to eager to try speaking english and accepts his mistakes. i think he definitely has a very good support network both in the people helping him learn english (job-wise) and in having someone like key there to correct him (and maybe rib him a little bit--but it's all out of love). also i still think its really funny he broke into keys place to leave him a birthday cake and then proceeded to steal one of his jackets. stole my heart at the same time smh

i will stop here bc i still have two questions left on my final but !!! i will absolutely give u shinee recs if you want!! shinee has SUCH a good discography with only a few songs that are... not good at all lmao. but every group puts out some bad songs sometimes, especially when they've been around for a long time! nothing wrong w that! + i'll probs throw in recs from each member's solo career because i genuinely love a lot of their solo stuff as well <3

rough furby fandom timeline

reminiscencing abt old furblr made me wanna revisit some of the changes we’ve seen over time! to give new people an idea of it, and also to spark discussion with older members, i joined in 2017 and i havent been as active as of 2019 so i cant speak of prior or after, but heres my thoughts

2017

fandom is still small, but growing

focus is on them as toys

lots of posts are guides on names of colors, or how to push start

2005s are not very popular, i saw someone struggle to sell 2 working ones just because their beaks were damaged

besides the pink ones, people really liked those

i also lost a bid war on an orange 2005 that ended up going for 50 bucks, do you understand the regret i feel

lots of furbys are cheap, furbys in general are cheap, besides the occasional person thinking their nib snowball is worth 300

rise of furbology (later furbae)

popular for owning a lot of furbys, and owning a very very roughed up frog furby called swampy

theres discourse abt drawing furbys with 4 feet

small nature of fandom means that discourse usually involves people everyone knows directly (furbyconfessions accidentally contributes to drama but some spin off accounts purposefully try and start it, furby discourse blogs are a thing)

small nature also means that a lot of people remember each others furbys by name

each furby usually has a personality attached to it too, describing things that furby tends to do more than others, or what its physical differences mean (like being mute)

furby brotherhood is the only furby discord server and it gains notoriety due to the lack of moderation but in my experience it was a really fun wild ride

customization is fairly limited to maybe drawing on freckles, accessories, eyechips (people were poking them out with needles), to my knowledge tracer was the first popular furby to have further customizing

furby blogs humour is very silly, lots of piss and vore jokes

customized furbys from ebay sellers are pretty widely disliked, usually because theyre the clay ones, or because theres a lady trying to pass off her customs as rare releases that never happened

people go out of their way to help each other find listings for their dreamies

purity culture? in furblr? since a lot of people use furbys to cope (many many posts of people bringing them out in public, describing what they and their furbys did), theres a pressure for furby blogs to be happy safe places, safefurby tag to avoid swearing and other stuff is started?, and also to avoid hatred in the main tag

theres like, a 70% chance of anyone u interact with in the fandom being a 15 year old trans guy on the autism spectrum, similarities make it really easy to make friends

considering special interests also usually mean wanting to know as much as possible, there is a WELL of information still

rise in popularity also means a lot more information is found abt furbys, like prototypes, a new factory and more obscure merchandise

since a lot of people empathize with furbys, damaged or not completely working furbys start to go for higher prices than previously as people empathize with them

that one furby that was found in the desert (bumbleweed) gets REALLY popular

rise in customizing coincides with more stylization in how people draw furbys

whenever someone comes up with a new idea u’d see a lot of it in the next week

like stuffing a furby to make them fat, that one took OFF

painting fur and also furby patterns to sew own skins creates a strange demand for just the furbys faceplate

furbys start to get strange names, like hot dog water

fall of furbae as shes revealed as a scammer among other reasons

crap ton of new furby discords are started, for specific topics, or just to avoid brotherhood despite them having a completely new mod team (im a little biased)

theres a still a large overlap in furblr with animatronic and other toy robot blogs

an age of really creative stuff tho, content was constantly evolving

oddbodies are a controversial addition to customizing, longfurby wasnt the first, but i do remember a lot of people taking the faces off of plushes and adding a furby face instead

before they were called oddbodies some people were really uncomfortable with them, but people also didnt like their furby friends being tagged bodyhorror, so oddbody was a good compromise

people were calling dibs on listings before, but its more widespread here, even though you cant call dibs on an open listing

furby prices go through the roof oh my god

kid cuisines especially, i saw more than one person pay 600

2005s go up in price too

oddbodies also caused rise in price on furby buddies

mainstream success?

customization and oddbodies seems to the fandoms focus?

customization starts to overtake previous guides to the point where i see newbies struggle to find information

First plush ones have clay eyes, later ones add in the eyes of the original furbys

Some controversy over taking apart furbys

popularity from within and outside of the community further effects prices

since 2012s are both really common, and not popular their prices seem pretty unaffected (besides rainbow crystals)

at this point i think people are taking their furbys out with them less, and i see less people make stories abt what they and their furbys did that day

customization trends were really really cool to watch happen, but since my reasons for being in furblr was the community nature of it, i have a lot less information for 2019 as i was less active in the fandom

and for 2020, i have nothing! so essentially this is me asking, what was 2019 and 2020 furblr for u like? did i remember any older stuff wrong? whats some stuff u wouldve included or have questions about?

Do you feel that fandom activity has been impacted by the people that seem to believe that drawing fictional characters as adults is equivalent to some type of illegal activity? I worry our best creators have been scared into silence, not able to mention something as innocent as dirty jokes, kissing, or a character being said to have a nice butt. TT;

Big long ramble response lol

As much as I wanna say no I think the answer to that is kinda yes. Though it's not the only factor why people have left fandom. I have friends that left due to bullying, due to falling out of love with the show, due to any multitude of reasons

For sure theres a different vibe then let's say 2014/2015 fandom when there were tons of really good sp nsfw blogs and a lot of content being churned out that was on the nsfw side, even just as jokes! And honestly as much as I hate to say it a lot of those creator's were actually minors at the time,,, many of them people I considered mutuals/friends. And I was kinda a dumb shit bc I I engage with it as a minor, but that was my choices and tbh I don't regret them I've always been a dumb horny idiot

Now I think in part to the tumblr porn ban a lot of fandom members left for Twitter (plus some general unsavory tumblr behavior, tho I would argue twitter is WAY worse) and those who remained tend to be a little more on the conservative side in regards to sex (which can baffle me a lil, this is the show where all the boys pulled their dicks out and walked around the school. Nothing wrong with having discomfort im just very confused like are we watching the same show)

Block is your best friend, I've kinda cleared the people who are like that away from myself so I dont have to worry. All I can say is the same thing I've always said, it's a rated M show for adults with adult content including sexual things, and I stand by my opinion that theres nothing wrong with aged up porn, go ham. It's not drawings of kids, especially not real kids. If you draw them as kids I will block and move on because I understand how to curate my internet experience :))) if either of those opinions bother you, you can absolutely a) block me and b) maybe reconsider what fandom you're in because again sp is an ADULT show

Goodbye 2019. Hello 2020.

To celebrate the new year - which a lot of people are celebrating right now, I’m sure, unfortunately not me yet - I decided to create this post. I don’t know how to explain it but if you like kpop, keep reading!

My Top 3 Songs of 2019

1. SKZ - Miroh

This song got me into my now ult group, Stray Kids. Those 9 boys have honestly made this year 10x better for me. Chan’s VLives definitely helped me when I was upset, and the members made me feel emotions by their side. I’m so glad that add of Miroh appeared and I chose to watch it because I may have not gotten into Stray Kids without it.

2. ATEEZ - Wave

Again, another song that got me into the group. I heard the song in a video where they played huge jenga at Kcon... I think? Anyways, this song is another banger and you completely fall in love with it first listen. You won’t regret listening to this.

3. TWICE - Fancy

I got into TWICE when they released YES OR YES, but FANCY is the song that you can’t not fall in love with. I did on my 2nd listen and man, if you’re saying you didn’t learn the dance and bopped to this song, you are LYING because- let’s be honest - everyone said FANCY SOTY.

Groups I began stanning in 2019 its felt like forever tho

Stray Kids - March 26th. You think I would forget?

ATEEZ - August 18th. Another date I remember, because I spent a good 2 hours getting to memorize the members name and faces. Was so happy when I finally did it.

iKON - Honestly, I was more of a Double B stan since January until Hanbin left. I loved their songs but I never got to know the rest of the members, except for Jinhwan.

ChungHa - Snapping dragged me in. That’s all I gotta say. Although, ngl, Gotta Go was something I always tried to dance to.

KARD - Again, Bomb Bomb just pulled me into the fandom. The rest of their discography made me stay. I sang along to Bomb Bomb everyday for a good 3 months. It was honestly EVERYTHING to me and then Dumb Litty came and stole my heart and KARD did it AGAIN.

Mamamoo - gogobebe. Do I really need to say anything else?

GOT7 - I’m pretty sure I got into them because, well everyone knows GOT7. They’re a name everyone knows if you like kpop, so I just wanted to get into them. Eclipse and You Calling My Name are songs I’ll dance and singalong to in the right mood and right part of the song. But their personalities dragged me in. I’m pretty sure BamBam also attracted me when he was on Stray Kids reality show.

Day6 - Time Of Our Life. I decided to listen to it because Seungmin of Stray Kids was a big fan of them and I was like, it shouldn’t hurt to try. Seungmin made me want to watch and Day6 made me want to stay. They don’t make ANY bad songs.

Everglow - March 18. Listened to Bon Bon Chocolat when it came out, and I was honestly scared ppl were gonna sleep on them cause ITZY debuted a month before. Fortunately, everyone noticed their talent.

BigBang - I dunno just listened to one of their songs. And, of course, I fell in love. Too late to stan them while they were active, but I’m expecting something in 2020... just saaying.

NCT - All of the subunits. Honestly there were so many of them, I spent time taking tests to tell them apart. The struggle to stan these boys. Instantly fell in with the Dreamies. And then I found out they weren’t a fixed unit... My heart shattered. It’s still breaking because 4 OF THEM ARE LEAVING. or left. I dunno.

Tomorrow by Together - They were probably the most anticipated group of this year. I remember ppl hyping them up in October of 2018! Predebut stan right here. (I just remembered that I thought the preview of each member was coming out in age order and thinking that Beomgyu was the youngest. And I was just like WHERE IS HEUNINGKAI FROM?!?!)

ITZY - remember when everyone thought that itzy’s debut was rushed because info about them was leaked. yeah, i forgot too. anyways, again I was a predebut stan.

(G)- idle - i always listened to their title tracks and I began stanning them during Queendom after their Fire cover im listening to 2ne1 2015 mama fire performance rn lol.... omg bom’s han cover just started playing. spotify is watching me guys.

My Top 5 Groups of the Year

1. STRAY KIDS - A lot of the reasons I luv them are the same as ATEEZ. That’s why ateez are close to being my number one, but honestly these 9 boys are everything to me. 9 or NONE FOREVER. They have been through so much this year and I hope they STAY strong for 2020. In their 2020 seasons greeting they announced a full album next year, so I’m ready to follow these boys on their journey no matter how many stay or leave. I’m a STAY for a reason.

2. ATEEZ - PERSONALITY. I’m also a sucker for groups that shove their love for each other in your face. 8 makes 1 team, y’know? Hongjoong and Mingi are amazing rappers, Jongho, Wooyoung and San’s vocals tho, Yunho and Seonghwa’s deep voices are the death of me, and Yeosang dancing. They’re talented and luvable and that’s all I need for an ult group. also all their songs are bops

3. Mamamoo - Honestly would’ve tied with Twice but these I’m a sucker for them as ppl as well, and I need that to luv a group. they ain’t fake, they slap information in your face and they are POWERFUL WOMAN. (Not saying twice aren’t ofcourse) And these girls vocals are on POINT. Moonbyul is rapper material, but have you heard the girl song? What an angel. Their songs are all slaps, especially the most recent ones.

4. TWICE - This was their year? yes or yes. Fancy soty. Feel Special was a great title track, don’t get me wrong, bUT HAVE YOU HEARD THE FULL ALBUM. Every song is my AMAZING. omg rainbow is playing

5. NCT DREAM - These boys stole my heart, I only stanned nct because of them. Honestly seeing the 00 line leave breaks my heart.

My Top 5 girl group and boy group songs

gg songs were honestly so hard to pick, they thrived and SO many good songs were made in 2019. But here is my list.

1. Fancy - soty

2. Hip - this song was everything from the choreo to the song itself to the girls energy performing it

3. Psycho - came out like last week but it’s in everyone's top 10 of this year. Beautiful song that won’t get outta my head. getwellsoonwendy.

4.Violeta - this is another song that won’t get out of my head. honestly none of these songs will. ok so the final dance part after the drop of violeta pisses me off because the dance could is so powerful and that part comes and it’s such a disappointment but it’s the only part I can do so i shouldn't complain but the song itself is very catchy. I don’t want these girls to disband even if the votes were rigged because they make a good group and sing bangers. i don't want them to leeeave.

5.Lion - the song is just so powerful. other songs they’ve made are good, but the chorus is usually a disappointment because the pre chorus is so good but EVERYTHING is great about Lion. Didn’t like it at first for some reason, i dunno why, but once you give it a few more listens you’ll fall in love.

Now onto the boy groups. They made quite a few bangers this year as well.

1. Miroh - It’s my no.1 of the year. watchu expect?

2. Wave - and this is my no.2. Again, what else would I put here?

3. Run Away - what. a. bop. still can’t get out of my head. Crown was a disappointment to me after 1000 listens but not Run Away. A bonus is the Harry Potter references. With that I just was head over heels in love. Txt didn’t fail to disappoint with their comeback even if it was pushed back.

4. Boom - This song made me fall in love with the talent that NCT DREAM holds despite being so young. Sang along for a few months. Actually, it’s still in my head.

5. Make It Right - I was doing title tracks for all these but then I realised there has to be an exception because I just really like this song, especially the one featuring Lauv. Boy with luv wasn’t it for me but every other song on Persona is a straight up masterpiece (ok an exaggeration but u get what i mean)

Now onto the soloists (they’re all female, sry not sry)

1. Chica - I was debating whether to put Snapping or this but decided with Chica. Honestly the vocals, the song, the dance, the MESSAGE, is everything. I love it, it empowers woman, it makes ME feel good, and it’s what some people really need sometimes. So, thank you ChungHa.

2. Gotta Go - another bop by our queen ChungHa, she really ruled this year. I didn’t stan her when it came out but that doesn’t mean I didn’t do the ‘deulshi’ part whenever I heard it. iconic.

3. Twit - Again another iconic bop from this year. (i thought this masterpiece came out last year, i dunno why but it just is so 2018 for some reason? I dunno) Hwasa’s solo debut really was everything. So was Moonbyul’s which unfortunately didn't make it on the list but I would say it’s in between 5th to 7th for me.

4. Stay Beautiful - Such a beautiful song, it was a shame Jamie had to leave but she left JYP saying that they lost smth PRECIOUS and they would regret it and she conveyed all that in one song without hinting at it. So many quote worthy lyrics were in the song and it just bring up my mood and my standard for vocals. Don’t sleep on this girl, y’all.

5. Birthday - the song brought out mixed reactions from everyone but i LOVED IT. It did get a bit old but it’s still something you’ll find me singing along to every now and then.

ARTISTS THAT STOOD OUT TO ME THIS YEAR

1. Bang Chan of Stray Kids. I love him. He’s such a great leader, he’s a loveable person, he’s all rounded and he fucks up sometimes but he acknowledges it and fixes it. He went through so much shit this year and he deserves so much more. I, along with many other STAYs are gonna make 2020 a better year for him and all of his group. Stay strong Chan! But besides his personality his stage presence, his rapping, his singing, his producing, his energy, his personality, it all made him someone who was always on my mind.

2. Yeonjun of Tomorrow x Together. He’s also very well rounded and he really stands out to me from all the other 4th gens. Whenever I see a performance by TXT he always grabs my attention even when he’s not the main focus. I love his dancing, it’s very eye catching to me, along with his stage presence. He never loses his energy on stage and I expect a lot from him in 2020! His rapping and singing are amazing as well, especially for a rookie. Also when they first debuted he cried a lot, which was very heartwarming to me because idols showing emotion other than happy is something I appreciate, because it lets me remember they’re human too.

3. Seulgi of Red Velvet. She’s, again, very well rounded. I’m not really a Reveluv, but Wendy and Seulgi are vocalists who really stand out to me so those to kind of make me want to listen to Red Velvet’s songs. She’s an amazing vocalist, like words can’t express how much a love this woman's voice. Her stage presence is amazing as well, she’s just a really good performer imo.

4. Jihyo and Nayeon of TWICE. First of all I really like their personality and how powerful they are. Honestly a wink from them and I’m falling of my chair. Secondly, I don’t know if anyone's noticed but I really like powerful female vocals, and these two have extremely POWERFUL vocals. Have you heard them sing? Just... POWERFUL, that’s all I can really say to describe their voices.

5. Mingi and Hongjoong of ATEEZ. They are rapper that are gonna blow away the whole industry with 3racha, I mean they already have. Did y’all see their performance in MAMA. The RAWEST vocals I heard that whole show. They were obviously not lip syncing, you could hear Mingi panting and he didn’t rap a whole line, and I LOVE that because it is RAW and we need more raw vocals or atleast breaths heard when the artists are dancing because it makes the performance more REAL. also stage presence is amazing from these two, they really know how to hype up a crowd.

ROOKIE GROUPS I EXPECT A LOT FROM NEXT YEAR

sorry my expectations are high for them, but they have stood out tome so much and i couldn’t stand to see them flop.

1. TOMORROW X TOGETHER - they’ve been on this list quite a lot, and I really appreciate their individual talents along with them as a group. I REALLY want to see them improve and grow more next year because they were really pushed this year, being BTS’s juniors. I’m sure they were really stressed but I want them to become TOMORROW BY TOGETHER not BTS’s juniors. Probably won’t happen in a year but hopefully in the next decade.

2. ITZY - another group really known for theing the juniors of TWICE this time. The title tracks they released so far have all been listen to it the first time, you don;t like it, but listen to it the 2nd time and it’s stuck in your head for the next 7 months. Honestly if they keep going like this, it would be like a ITZY thing, and I honestly wouldn’t mind.

3. EVERGLOW - i think everyone just saw bon bon chocolat, gave it a listen, and loved it. but i also heard it was produced by someone who helped produce Crown by TXT and Spring Day by BTS, so there’s another reason ppl may have liked it so much. Adios wasn’t a disappointment at all. Of course, I would also love it if Everglow kept up the “nanana” thing in each of their title tracks.

4. ATEEZ - I don’t think they’ll flop at all next year. I know they just had their 1st year anniversary, but I wouldn’t mind a full album... either way, Imma stick with them because they’ve only released that good shit so far and I’m honestly expecting a somewhat mediocre song at least once in their career next year. Not expecting it though.

5. ONEUS - I haven’t’t talked about them yet but all of oneus’s title tracks are absolute gold. I am a mess for Valkyrie, Twilight AND Lit. They’re all just AMAZING songs. I mean, what did we expect from Mamamoo’s juniors but. They are REALLY good. Just go listen to all their title tracks rn.

And finally, wishes for 2020

- Of course, Wendy to recover after her tragic incident at SBS. Again, I hope she recovers well

- Mina to come back from her hiatus, only if she’s ready to, of course

- BLACKPINK FULL ALBUM. ROSE SOLO. PLEASE.

- Of course, 4th gen to thrive along with 3rd gen and 2nd gen groups

- A full album from stray kids (which was confirmed) and again, maybe for ATEEZ? just maybe?

- More attention for Mamamoo. They are underrated queens.

- Less hate for Tomorrow By Together. People bash them just because they’re BTS’s juniors. they would be praised a less but definitely not doubted way more if they weren’t under Bighit. Yeah, they get luxuries other groups won’t but that doesn’t mean people should degrade them for it.

HOW I RUN MY BLOG.

SPEED: At the moment, slow. It depends very much on the thread, of course, but please don’t expect super fast replies from me right now; despite having time on my hands, my writing muse & motivation haven’t been super high and I’d rather write when I feel like it rather than forcing myself and worrying about drafts too much. Nevertheless, if I find myself taking longer than a month, I do take my time informing my writing partner on whether I’ll drop it or not & of course, apologies to anyone who’s been waiting. I never mind a nudge!

REPLIES: I prefer long and short threads, though I have a preference for anything plotted and longer as I lose muse for short, unplotted threads a lot faster. Sometimes I will prioritize some threads over others, depends on how well I know my writing partner and how plotted out the thread in and of itself is -- though as I mentioned with speed, the longer the threads become, the longer it’ll probably take me to reply. I do tend to ramble when I’m inspired, but I don’t really expect anyone to match length.

STARTERS: I do the occasional starter call & end up regretting it more often than not because I don’t actually like writing starters all that much ... I’ll always like it more when the other party writes the starter, though I will write them if needed.

INBOX: My muse for meme replies is even lower than my muse for thread replies, so while I super appreciate getting random asks and memes sent in, I do always ask for patience; I try to reply to everything I have in my inbox and have a hard time deleting anything, but any askbox replies can take up to months sometimes. I usually write meme replies when I have no inspiration for anything else.

SELECTIVITY: I’m very selective in who I follow back as I like to have a clean and slow dash, but I don’t mind interacting with non-mutuals.

WISHLIST: I don’t really have a set wishlist other than wanting canon interactions ( especially when it comes to fellow organisation members to help flesh out Axel as well as Lea ) a little more than I’m getting right now, but with the fandom being kinda dead I’ll take what I can get. I’m super into AU and cross-overs in any case, so my wishlist is basically just to plot with whoever feels like writing with me. Never be afraid to hit me up in IMs or through asks -- I give my discord to mutuals without hesitation too.

HONEST NOTE: Tumblr hasn’t really been my priority for a while and though I still super love writing and I really love writing Axelea ( he’s still my favorite muse to date ), I’m not as active as I used to be anymore; this obviously reflects in the speed of my replies and the speed of me getting back to people or even reaching out to new people in case interest is shown. For now my focus has mainly been on keeping the connections I’ve managed to build over the last three years properly fleshed out whenever possible rather than trying to plot anything new ( exceptions notwithstanding ) and though it does make me a little sad that I seem to sort of have lost the passion for writing and being on tumblr, I’ve been trying to focus more on being here when I want to be rather than because I think I have to be -- and I urge everyone else to do the same. This is a hobby and not a chore and shouldn’t be a source of stress. That said, I would like to reiterate that you’re always free to approach me for plotting and simply chatting about our muses as that’s something I always super love doing.

Section 1 - About:

1. Briefly Describe your OC: Appearance, personality, role in a story, etc..

okay so!! hana is half-japanese, half-german, she’s got short/spiky black hair and fucking Huge brown eyes. she’s the protagonist of a thus-unwritten pirate love story and i fucking love her. she’s superbly socially awkward (doesn’t get customs like politeness or like asking before doing things asdjkfl), she’s a Romantic romantic, she loves sword-fighting, she was raised by her father (alongside three older half-brothers, though she was chosen as the heir to his ship which hmm pissed two of them off), she’s very much butch/tomboy, she loves adventure and sailing so fucking much, uhhh yeah her.

2. Briefly describe their backstory/childhood

like i said, she was raised by her dad, who she idolizes, along with her three brothers on the sea; she never knew her mother, because her father told her that she died giving birth to hana (or did she….? hm. maybe hana’s dad is just shitty?). she was always super excited to play and go on adventures and fight, especially with her three older brothers (only one of whom actually like. liked her.), and by the time she was old enough to hold a sword, her dad taught her how to. eventually, her dad became ill, and named hana, who was only 16, his successor. her two eldest brothers planned a mutiny to overthrow her, killing the other brother who protested. hana fought them but they escaped with half her treasure, promising to come back and kill her, and she’s spent the past six years seeking them out to defeat them.

3. Describe their family life and friends.

i mean i pretty much nailed her family, but she’s very close to all the crew. i’ll give you a quick rundown: there’s caspian, her first mate/quartermaster (grew up on the ship with her, an orphan who was stolen in one of the raids, searching out his lost family but is also a big time goof), dover, her “advisor”/sailing master (wise, lazy, arrogant, bitchy, basically her pseudo-father because her father was usually off being captain), darya, her gunner (slutty bisexual aromantic queen, runs the artillery AND the under deck gambling ring, always drunk, loyal to a fault especially to hana), and zarya (we’ll get to her later ;)) and the other lower-ranking crew members.

4. What is the world they come from like?

hmmm very mystical and mysterious, very “pirates are bad and suck and we dont like them even though they’re not usually bad” but. you know. hana is still an outlaw of the land. there are mermaids and sirens and cracken and curses so it’s better to assume that if its magical it exists.

5. Are they original or exist in a certain fandom?

7. Greatest fear?

being unable to sail but also, later on, (SPOILERS) being arrogant and greedy and malicious like her father

i have to imagine somewhere between paladin and a fighter, im not sure which.

i honestly think she would just. go into the nearest village and buy all the local hungry children bread. like she wouldn’t horde it or spend it on herself. she has everything she needs.

4. If they competed on a competitive TV show, how would they approach to winning? (the “mean” one, the one who makes friends, the one who’s there for fun)

hm… i honestly dont even think she would think about it like that dkdkflfl. probably the charming one, the leader, the adorkable one.

i think she would choose to keep in contact with her mother. not necessarily live with her, because then she wouldnt have her first love which is the sea, but just like. talk to her. know her better. go see her every few months. write her from different ports about their adventures.

6. If you met them, what would they do?

i would honestly probably be so fucking charmed by her. shes got that way about her, a leadership quality you can’t shake, even if shes really incredibly awkward too.

7. If your character exists in another series’ world, what would they be doing/look like?

i kind of imagine her in harry potter as like. this half blood gryffindor who’s So Gryffindor it hurts. on the quidditch team, always screaming about house pride, everyone loves her. and then she goes and falls in love with this muggle born slytherin and shakes the whole school dkdkkrklr

oh… i think it’s kind of cheap to say jack, because they’re both pirates, but honestly i think they’d get on like a house on fire. other than that… definitely michael minkus, who would make an epic first mate, and lucy stilinksi-hale, who she would probably wanna smash.

bad. comically bad. she tries to sing to zarya sometimes and zarya locks her out of their room.

honestly she’ll eat anything but just like. a Nice leg of mutton and a glass of beer. that’s it. that’s the dream.

26) Any kpop concerts you’ve been to? a few!! back in the 2008-2012 period sg was a really hot spot for kpop concerts. i attended 2 shinee worlds and umm i think 1 super show and 1 smtown? i also had free tickets to a miss A showcase and a 2pm concert (that one was mosh and it was weird) and then in 2017 i managed to get into the astro showcase when they came here!!

27) Favorite choreo? definitely 붙잡, that song is a fucking masterpiece and every time they perform it i get shivers because its absolutely beautiful

LOL this is not my FAV performance but i keep thinking of the scentist stage on mcount because of the huge flower EAU DE VIXX sign. tbh im really into the dream con performance of 붙잡 (you can see by how i have the link on hand) even tho i feel bad about liking it so much because it was so rainy and the boys slipped a few times.. but i super like it anyway orz the falling rain is so damn atmospheric. i also really like the concert cams of 고백 and polaris but thats just cause theyre super memey/cute and i love that shit

29) Favorite debut mv? astros hide and seek!!! specifically the dance only version because it was what REALLY captivated me - its their debut song but the choreo is TIGHT and its such a cheerful song, i hate nothing about it, its perfect

Happy New Year 2018

it’s 10am in my place and timezone shits, but still Happy New Year. Let’s all say goodbye to 2017 and hello 2018

about this time, i wasnt really productive in the last few months or weeks due to school hell, i’ve impressed a lot of people that i can still post artworks daily and it feels like im not even stressed at all. but uh.. not sure if i can keep that up now but i will continue if i can.

Me doing digital art is never stressful to me, i’ve been doing it for almost 2 years now and i never regret choosing this as a hobby, or maybe even ended up as a career, who knows.

but i know one day i gotta give up for... at least this year, and come back again to be more active again once it’s June or July 2019, or maybe even earlier..

and uh.. quick update, i might do more Scriblotix rambles about [BLANK] with my face showing starting from this year’s July, since i feel like i need to be more... open. but the only problem is i dont know if i can afford a better camera before that month pf-

for real though, i feel like my watchers are just... impatient, and true story, i lost about at least 21 watchers just because i havent post anything in late November and December, i mean aint my fault because i got rehearsals to deal with for my school’s annual speech day. or maybe simply because they watched me because of a certain fandom i drawn before but now that im not drawing it anymore, they left me.

But i’m glad a lot of you are still sticking with me, near my trash can, waiting for some day that i will give art to all of you.

So... final announce for Grownuptale, i gave up doing animation series so i’ll just simply do it as a comic, after i release Episode 1 of course. I’m not gonna dump episode 1 yet, i’m gonna push myself to finish it if i had time and motivation, and then it will turn into a comic. so thanks to the ones who are still waiting

People asked if i have Patreon or Ko-fi and the answer is no. Ko-fi doesnt have HK Dollars and i dont have a bank account to start my Patreon Page yet. As for the commissions, i will add payment using Paypal or Visa and Deviant points once i get an account, i’m saying this now because my parents planned giving me one but now all they need to do is find the time to go to a bank thats not crowded with people.

Firstly, I recommend going through pledis17′s faq page, about page and member profiles it’s really helpful! Also go through their tags for official pictures, fantaken pictures, fancams, videos (including eng sub!) and a lot of their other content!

Ok fandom wise, as far as I know from that time to now carats are literally one of the nicest fandom’s I’ve ever been apart of like literally I love them so much. The fandom isn’t perfect, there’s some really not-so-nice fans like some who sexualise the members and like fanwars or yk have done some really shitty things (im not gonna go into detail but I know a few things) but the good fans really out weigh them! Don’t be intimidated to come of anon and talk to me or other members of the fandom trust me you won’t regret it at all!

So I mentioned Seventeen TV earlier and basically before seventeen debuted they had a program that aired on ustream that basically showed them practicing, playing games and other things as well. It was really entertaining and I really enjoyed it! Like seriously you should watch it it’s really funny I’m not even jokingg.

Sadly, the ustream channel has a password now bUT you can watch some clips or full episodes here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here just to give you a few (I tried to give you as much as I could find really ;A:;;) but really youtube has a lot of videos on it.

I forgot to mention but during the duration of seventeen tv there were other member but subsequently they left due to various reasons. These members include: Samuel (who was part of the duo 1punch which has now broken up, was on produce101 season 2 and has recently debuted with a bomb ass song), Doyoon (he is training to become an actor i think), Dongjin and MingMing.

They also had another predebut program called Andromeda. Subs can be found here

Right before seventeen debuted a program called Seventeen Project aired. Basically they go through a lot of trials and tests (? i think?) to get them ready for debut! You can watch it subbed here. You should definitely watch this one because you get to know the boys a little better.

For inside jokes this list on amino is literally a god sent but i was updated around january of this year. Speaking of amino, there’s a timeline on it, here. It’s outdated by a year but it’s really helpful as well. (Btw my favourite inside jokes are probably KIMBAP KIDDING and drink water lmao).

I also recommend watching all like17sub’s videos and what17says’s videos as well. As they’ve been subbers in the fandom for a fairly decent amount of time.Kwonvely is a more recent subber but I recommend you watch their subbed videos as well!

Svtunited subs and SVTdiamond subs haven’t updated in a while but they still have a significant amount of videos, especially from the earlier days!

A really nice way to know the members is through their Vlive channel where they do various live streams. Sadly, some vlives you have have to pay for called vlive+ because vlive likes to make us suffer BUT you can find some of the vlive+ videos in full here. The videos on Vlive are already subbed thank god.

The boys have had a reality show One Fine Day and a more recent one One Fine Day 2. They also have an ongoing series called Going Seventeen. On their Vlive+ there’s a series called ‘Where is my Friend’s home?’ where they basically visit the members’ hometowns (they mostly eat tho lmao). I believe minicarats only has the perf team’s one up right now but I believe the hip hop and vocal teams’ will come out soon. Someone uploaded theirs on youtube but obviously the channel got terminated.

They’ve released some DVDs as well which I totally recommend you watch. Seventeen Boy’s Wish CONCERT (1) (2) (3), Shining Diamond Concert (1) (2) (3), Seventeen’s 2017 Season Greetings.

ALSO a great way of getting to know the members more is probably from mackenzie - ww’s why we love seventeen series, here, on youtube.I would also recommend her 10 reasons to love seventeen series here as well. Another good one is LoliKitty’s english time series as well, here. (IT kills me everytime lmao). Lolikitty has only 2 kpop meme origins but it explains 2 fandom jokes, jisoos christ and headlines headlines in a really funny way lmao.
