Listen through and through i like vld , Yes i know shocker!(it isn't, though i have only posted ONCE about it on here w art..but anyways)
So if there was anything about voltron it was that the show had some bomb ass edits made and put on youtube.
That fandom thrived on those. i swear.
I also swear there was this whole "everything black" edit that i watched over and over.... i can't find it now BUT THERE WAS and the transitions were good too.

Video game night
Hello hello!! I wrote this fic for @justmultifandom ! A while ago, she shared an headcanon of Pidge and Keith playing fnaf together and then did a drawing of them going to the fnaf movie! I asked her if I could write something about it! She accepted but that was a few month ago so yeah, I took my time for that one too... but anyways, I still hope you like it!!!!!
Keith was always on missions with the Blade of Marmora, but no matter how busy he was, he always found time to contact her, to visit her when he could.
It all began with nightly calls. They would chat briefly before saying goodnight. As time went on, their calls grew longer, and they even started leaving the line open as they slept. Then, Keith had an idea. He wanted to spend more time with her, to share something beyond their nightly conversations. That's when they started playing online games together.
However, Keith knew that online interactions could never replace real-life moments. So, once Keith finally returned to Earth, they immediately planned a video game night at Pidge's apartment. She had everything prepared: snacks, blankets, and, most importantly, an array of video games.
Keith's arrival was eagerly anticipated, and finally, he was at her doorstep. With a warm smile, Pidge ushered him inside.
"Welcome to game night! I've got a bunch of games lined up," Pidge announced as she led him into her cozy living room. She had set up a gaming console and a screen, with controllers ready for action.
"You got everything ready," Keith said, impressed as he looked around the room.
Pidge grinned. "You know me. Always prepared." She handed him a controller. "Let's start with something fun, but it might be a bit different from your usual games. Ever heard of Five Nights at Freddy's?"
Keith shook his head. "No, what's that?"
Pidge couldn't hide her mischievous smile. "Oh, it's just a game where you're the security guard at a haunted pizzeria. You've got to make sure the animatronic characters don't get to you. Easy, right?"
Keith nodded, intrigued. "Sounds interesting. Let's do it."
They played through a few nights, and Keith was engrossed in the game, taking his role seriously. Unbeknownst to him, Five Nights at Freddy's was infamous for its jump scares. The tension built, and suddenly, an animatronic creature lunged at the screen with a blood-curdling scream. Keith nearly jumped out of his seat, and Pidge couldn't contain her laughter.
"WHAT THE- You didn't tell me about the jumpscares!" Keith protested, slightly embarrassed.
Pidge giggled. "That's the best part! Don't worry; it gets less scary as you go on."
Keith rolled his eyes but couldn't help smiling. "Alright, let's play something else."
They switched to more lighthearted games, from Minecraft to Rayman, Mario Kart to LittleBigPlanet. As they played, Keith couldn't help but sneak glances at her. She had changed, grown up, but was still the same Pidge he had known. Still as pretty and adorable as ever, but she was older now, and so was he. A slight blush colored his cheeks, a reaction he couldn't control.
At some point, Pidge leaned against him and dozed off. Keith smiled at the sight, something so typical of her. He carefully repositioned her on the couch to make her more comfortable, then gently kissed her forehead. It was a simple, tender gesture, a reflection of the strong connection they shared.
Their video game nights became a cherished tradition, and they continued to spend quality time together. They even made plans to go see the FNAF movie together in cosplay, a suggestion that Pidge had to plead for, but Keith eventually agreed with a reluctant smile. The bond between them only grew stronger as they navigated the challenges of both the virtual and real worlds.

Lance and Keith are rival cosplayers, who only know each other by their online usernames. They are fiercely competitive, but are also desperately attracted to each other. You’d think they would just get together already, but there’s a couple of problems: 1. Keith crossplays, so Lance has absolutely no idea that Keith is a boy. 2. Both of them are idiots, and can’t seem to figure out that that hot cosplayer they like, is also that hot guy that they drool over every day at school.
[This is the reason why I added Sokka to my already way too long list of cosplans. This fic is very funny and cute and *sigh* these boys are so obvious but what’s new. I like dumbasses in love, what can I say.)

Eternal eclipse - Klance Month Week 4
I have no idea where I was going with this but it happened, so yeah. I do wanna redo week 2 of @monthlyklance at some point, but I’ve got a mer bang to finish, so don’t be too surprised if the last prompt for this week is late. Enjoy I guess. Eclipse/Victory
“I’m the sun and your the moon.”
“What does that even mean?”
“We’re apart, but an eclipse is a moment worth watching.”
Keith burst into laughter. “That made no sense.”
“Yes it does!”
“No it doesn’t.”
Crappy webcams couldn’t distort the pout on Lance’s lips.
“What I mean is when they do get to pass each other, it’s one of the world greatest wonders and us being reunited would be the airport’s greatest wonder. Or at least, me getting to see you would be mine.”
While the analogy made no sense what so ever, knowing that he was Lance’s always put a smile on his face. Even when they were miles apart.
He and Lance met at a convention and had a slight competition over who had the better mecha lion cosplay from their shared favourite show, Space Warriors. Keith wouldn’t admit it then, but Lance had won with his Blue Lion cosplay, seeing as the people he came with were engineers and had made the moving pieces of their costumes. Lance himself, despite being a professional stage manager, was able to create the light up weapons they used. Keith made his Red Lion cosplay with hard work and long nights but he was willing to wave the white flag, if Lance hadn’t been so smug about it. In the 3 days of the convention, they always seemed to bump into each other, competing over the smallest things, like who could get a better score in the game room or who could find the better deal on a plush in the dealer’s hall. Even though they spent a good amount of time arguing, Lance had given him his number and told him to call if he ever wanted to admit Lance was better.
Keith was mostly never planning but he was working on a cosplay and the top didn’t look right and he had no other friends who liked cosplay, so he texted Lance.
‘Ah, so you admit I am the better cosplayer. it’s fine, no need to send a voice memo saying so. By the way, the shirt is the wrong colour if that’s the character your going for. You can actually order to correct colour from Jo Anne’s if you want to make it yourself. Check H&M or Forever 21 for similar looking shirts in the correct colour.’
While he rolled his eyes at how utterly smug the guy sounded, he took his advice. It was easier to get the shirt and fix it up himself and it was actually surprising how close to the real thing he needed was. Their relationship continued in asking for advice on cosplays or line ups for conventions and then he happened to find Lance’s Instagram.
Keith kept his cosplays and personal life separate, but Lance combined everything. Pictures of his cat, pictures of the beach, pictures of his friends as they lounged around, somewhat professional pictures as Lance worked, even though Keith knew enough about theatre to know Lance should be completely in the dark in the booth. So, Keith started asking questions about his life, Lance asked about his and they started to become friends. Lance could still be as snooty about his cosplay skills as possible but he was always helpful when it came to offering advice. Somehow it took finding a small fandom they both liked to make them closer.
“Whoa, wait a second. You like Kirarin Revolution?”
“Yeah?” Keith had been playing his usual cosplay making focus playlist and the second opening had come on and Lance heard it over the phone.
“Do you have any idea how hard it is to find someone who likes that anime? Almost no one knows it! I’ve been trying to find someone to be my Hiroto to my Seiji for a cosplay. What convention are you going to next?”
“Um, Galaxy Con?”
“Prefect, text me your sizes. we’re doing a cosplay together.”
“Wait, my size?”
“How else am I suppose to make your cosplay?”
“Wait what?”
Lance would not be swayed and when he arrived at his hotel on badge pick up day, like a hound dog, Lance found him and put him in his cosplay to do finishing touches. He even styled his wig for him.
“Why don’t we do this more?” Lance asked as he fixed the feathered pieces for the coat.
“Because you live in LA and I live in Texas.”
Despite Lance claiming not a lot of people knew the anime, they had made quite a hit at the convention. He became good friends with Hunk and Pidge and got to see another side to Lance that wasn’t hidden in smugness. Lance was actually a pretty nice guy and once they had separated again, they still kept that closeness they gained during that convention. They had even started to stream animes together, texting each other on everything.
Even with the distance between and the fact that they didn’t always go to the same convention and see each other, they kept getting closer and closer. One day, they were video chatting and Lance had been falling asleep on himself. His cat had joined him and was asleep herself and looking at him with his face squished by his hand, his half awake eyes and how he was all cosied up, Keith couldn’t help thinking he looked really cute.
He might not of been one for relationships, but was he even considering doing a relationship when your significant other lived so far away. Ok, maybe not that far, but long distance was hard. There was a reason it had such a stigma around it, even if people claimed it could work out.
Keith broached the subject and while ecstatic that Lance felt the same, he’d been as worried as Lance was. They were such good friends, what if this relationship didn’t work?
It took a lot of communication to make it work. Keith tended to keep things inside, including his nerves about how to act around Lance when they could meet at conventions. Lance was always nervous he’d be too clingy. There was a good moment where they stopped talking because not talking meant things couldn’t change or get worse. It was miserable and if it hadn’t been for Shiro – and Hunk on Lance’s side – it would of kept up. Once they talked everything through, it got better. It wasn’t like they’d go ages without seeing each other. Keith always saved up his vacation days at the Fire Station for conventions and he was always working so often anyway that the guys kept insisting he take more time off. Plus they loved teasing him about Lance, trying to sneak into the background of any video calls.
Lance would talk to Keith during shows that he knew the cues for like the back of his hand. He considered it worth getting in trouble for. he’d always count down to the next convention they’d meet at, somehow always knowing where he’d bump into Keith. they’d been doing it for a year now. There were long periods were they couldn’t  see each other at conventions, maybe due to flight issues or work and the distance, while manageable, did hurt. Keith didn’t know why he didn’t just take a random week off when the theatre Lance worked with was in the dark and just spend the week with him. Maybe the fear that without conventions, they’d fall apart. Not a healthy way to live, which was why he was sure Lance announced on this very chat he was coming to visit him. Which kinda lead to their discussion on eclipses. When Lance was in town, in between actually hanging out and not sticking to a convention schedule, he wanted to make a couples cosplay with him. they’d been bouncing back ideas, almost going with Zuko and Sokka from ATLA (even though Keith knew he was more into Zuko and Katara), when Keith went on a tangent about the BNHA manga.
“You know I rarely read manga half the time.” Lance complained.
“I think you’ll like this one. The artist made this little drawing moon Todoroki and Sun Izuku and tododeku shippers have been going insane. it’s a whole huge thing now. I mean, everyone already says things like ‘oh the moon and sun get to kiss each other during an eclipse’. I must of seen 1000 fan arts of those two getting their kiss.”
“Oh! We should do that! it’ll be like us!”
which then lead back into their current conversation.
“Lance, when I get to see you, it’s not going to be a one time thing to kiss you. If it’s up to me, I wouldn’t stop. We might not even get any cosplay work done because I’ll be too busy kissing you.”
“Ooh, eternal eclipse. Kinda like the final battle with the Dead Moon Circus.”
Keith furrowed his brow. “What?”
“Sailor Moon? My god Keith, we might not be doing any cosplay stuff if I have to school you on essential anime.”
Keith rolled his eyes. “It’s not essential.”
“Keith, it’s changed the whole game. it’s essential.”
Keith could put up being school with ‘essential anime’, as long as he got Lance with it.

Love In Area 51
Lance adjusted his helmet and looked in his car’s mirror. He had trained his whole life for this. Now, it was time to act. Time to raid Area 51.
Lance stepped out of his car and walked over the the ever growing crowd. Pidge was already there. They must’ve beaten him. “Yo, Pidge!” Lance shouted.
Pidge looked at him from the crowd. They were wearing cosplay armor modeled after Captain America. “Hey, Lance! You ready to see some aliens?”
“Hell yeah!” He yelled back. “Gonna clap some alien cheeks!”
Pidge made a face of disgust.
At exactly 3 am, Lance heard a shout. Everyone turned to the entrance and stuck their arms behind their backs like Naruto.
“Charge!” A voice yelled, and everyone ran.
The crowd surged forward, Naruto running past the guards.
The guards started shooting, and needless to say, the raiders were not faster than the bullets. Their saving grace was that, surprisingly, someone had planned for this. A cosplay replica of Thor’s hammer hit the heads of the guards and knocked them out.
Even though the guards were unconscious, many had still died from the bullets.
‘War is Hell,’ Lance thought as he Naruto ran into the building with the other raiders.
After running for a couple minutes, they met a fork in the hallway.
“Those freeing aliens go down the left corridor!” One of their leaders shouted. “Those collecting classified data go down the right!”
“Well, Lance,” Pidge said to him, “This is where we say goodbye. May our paths cross again someday.”
“Godspeed, Pidge,” Lance replied before turning and running with the others freeing aliens.
Eventually they came to a room full of aliens trapped in glass cages. It wasn’t a very big room, so there were only about ten aliens in total. All of the aliens looked vaguely human.
One of the aliens noticed the raiders and stood up in their prison. “Who are you? What do you want with us?”
“We come in peace!” One of the raiders said. “We’ve come to free you.”
A cheer went up amongst the prisoners.
“Wait!” An alien cried, “There are others.” She pointed to a metal door at the end of the room that the raiders hadn’t entered through. “They’re being kept there.”
The leader of the raiders turned to his team. “You all go free the others. I’ll take care of these ones.”
Lance ran with the others into the room behind the metal door.
Surrounding them were rows of aliens of different species, most contained in tall, greenish blue glass tubes. A few of them were in purple glass tubes, and a couple were in clear glass tubes. Lance wondered if there was any significance to the colors.
Unlike in the last room, every alien here was sedated. They were all standing up. It looked like they had been frozen in place.
The raiders with him began breaking open tubes and shaking aliens awake. Lance walked toward the end of the hall where no one was yet. He heard the glass crunching beneath his shoes and hoped that the aliens that were being freed had shoes.
Lance looked at the tubes toward this end of the hall. The glass over here was all purple.
Lance’s eyes landed on one of the aliens. ‘This guy’s cute,’ He thought, ‘I’ll break him out and then I can finally clap them alien cheeks.’
Lance took the crowbar from his backpack. It didn’t look like the tube could be pried open, but the crowbar could be used to smash the glass.
“Hee-yah!” Lance yelled in triumph as he swung the crowbar. The crowbar made a small crack in the glass. “Hm. That’s not ideal. This’ll take a while.”
After several minutes of hitting, the glass finally shattered. ‘Thank goodness. I don’t think I could handle much more of this.’ Lance thought. ‘My arms are so damn tired.’
Now that the glass was gone, Lance was finally able to properly look at the alien he was freeing. His skin was purple, which Lance was not expecting. He had thought that the skin had just looked that way because of the colored glass, but he didn’t really care. He figured it would be racist to not date an alien because they were purple.
Lance gently shook the alien’s shoulder. “Wake up, man. We gotta get you outta here!”
The next thing he knew, he was pinned to the ground. The alien he had saved had tackled him, and now his arms were pinned above his head. Lance looked over to the other raiders, none of whom seemed to notice his predicament. They were busy with their far less violent, far less purple aliens.
Lance looked up to the alien he had saved. “Hey, the name’s Lance. We doing this now? Figured I’d have to take you out to dinner first, but I’ve got nothing against fucking in Area 51.”
The alien above him made a face. “What the ever loving quiznack?”
“Oh,” Lance said, feeling both slightly led on and mildly disappointed. “You weren’t straddling me?”
“I mean,” The alien said, “I guess. I was attacking you, so not really, though.”
“Hm,” Lance shrugged, “I guess I could be into that.”
The alien got off him completely. “You don’t seem interested in experimenting on me. Why are you here?”
“I wanted to free the aliens,” Lance explained, “And get an alien boyfriend.”
“And.... you chose me?” The alien looked taken aback.
“Yeah, but you don’t have to be my boyfriend if you don’t want. What’s your name?”
The alien looked at him suspiciously for a moment, scanning his face for a hint of dishonesty. “Keith.”
“Well, Keith,” Lance said, “How would you like to free your friends.”
Keith looked around at the other aliens in tubes. “They aren’t my friends. But I’ll help your crew free them.”
Lance looked over to the other raiders. Many of them were still freeing aliens and drawing closer to the place Lance had wandered to, but none of them seemed to notice that Keith was much less out of it than the other aliens who had been unfrozen.
“Why are you purple?” Lance asked.
“I’m Galra,” Keith answered. “We’re purple.”
“Oh.” Lance said, feeling a little stupid. “And the other aliens we’ve freed so far have just been different species?”
Keith nodded. “If they weren’t purple, then yeah. Probably.”
“Then that’s why you’re more alert than them?”
“Yeah. Galra are better at recovering from poison than other species.”
Keith walked over the the tube next to his. “I got it,” Lance said, holding up his crowbar.
Keith didn’t listen. He lifted his fist and smashed it against the glass, shattering it instantly.
“Woah,” Lance said, “That’s hot.”
Keith didn’t respond. He just moved onto the next cell.
“We’ve got all of ‘em!” A raider shouted. “Let’s go before Area 51 reinforcements get here!”
Everyone ran out. The aliens who were still recovering from the anesthetic were being carried by others. It was truly the image of unity.
They passed through the room where the non-sedated aliens used to be. No one was there anymore. Lance hoped that they had gotten out safely.
Lance saw Pidge running with their group, holding a box labeled ‘confidential.’
“Yo, Pidge!” Lance yelled. “We saved the aliens!”
“Don’t be so sure yet,” One of the other raiders said. “We’ve got company.”
An Air Force agent was standing there, holding a large gun. “Nobody move!” He yelled. “I have the clearance to use deadly force!”
Keith’s ignored the man’s warning. He stepped forward. “Shiro?”
The man with the gun looked shocked. His mouth was gaping. “K- Keith? You’re alive?”
Keith ran toward Shiro. Shiro ran toward Keith. “Keith, I’m so happy you’re alive. They told me you were dead. What happened to you?”
The other raiders took Shiro’s momentary distraction as a window to flee. Shiro didn’t go after them.
“I was being kept here,” Keith said. “With the other aliens.”
Shiro put his hand to his mouth. “I had no idea. I wasn’t allowed to know about anything other than data necessary to my missions. If I had known aliens were being kept here- If I had known you were being kept here-”
“It’s fine,” Keith assured him. “But we need to get out.”
“Yeah,” Lance piped up, “If I die here, Hunk will never let me here the end of it.”
Lance realized that neither of them knew who Hunk was, but he figured he’d explain later.
“So,” Lance said as they ran, “How do you two know each other?”
“We’re brothers,” Keith said, sounding far less out out breath than Lance was.
“So you’re both aliens?”
“Half-brothers,” Keith clarified.
“And, Shiro, you didn’t know what they were doing to your brother?” Lance asked.
“I don’t come to Area 51 often,” Shiro explained. “Just here today to get information on my prosthetic, actually. It’s been working better than any others I’ve had.”
“Galra technology, probably.” Keith said, “Some of the Galra I was experimented on with said Galra technology is better than human’s.”
Shiro stopped cold in his tracks. “You were experimented on?”
Keith grimaced. “We can talk about it later.”
They reached the door Lance had entered through. He saw his car in the distance. The guards that had been taken out earlier were still laying on the sandy ground, along with the fallen raiders.
Lance, Keith, and Shiro took off running toward Lance’s car, hoping to get there before any reinforcements could get them.
“Hey!” A man yelled. Lance turned and saw a guard. He must have woken up from earlier.
“Dammit!” He cursed. The guard wasn’t holding a gun, but he was still muscular and tall. Lance wasn’t sure he’d be able to take him down.
“I’m on it,” Keith said, running toward the guard.
Lance watched as Keith and the guard wrestled with each other for a moment before Keith hit him in the jaw and knocked him back out.
“Nice,” Lance said when they were in the car.
“Small talk later,” Shiro said, “Right now we need to get as far away from here as possible, as fast as possible.”
“No problemo,” Lance assured him. He patted the dashboard of his car, “This baby can go up to 120 miles an hour.”
Lance sped onto the highway, hoping no one noticed that his car actually only went about 80 mph. Either no one noticed, or they were too polite to point it out.
“Yo, Hunk!” Lance shouted into the restaurant’s kitchen. He walked in with Keith trailing behind him. They had dropped Shiro off at Lance’s apartment so he could call his husband and let him know what was going on.
“Adam’s going to be pissed at the Garrison for taking Keith,” Shiro had said. “I need to tell him as soon as possible so he won’t be pissed at me for not telling him right away.”
“Good call,” Keith had said, “A pissed off Adam is a scary Adam.”
Lance didn’t comment on any of this, because he didn’t know who Adam was, but he figured that if he and Keith were going to get together, he would probably meet him eventually.
Now, though, he was taking Keith to meet Hunk. Hunk was going to be shocked when he found out about Keith and Area 51.
“Hey, Lance,” Hunk said without looking up from the food he was making, “How was Area 51?”
“It was cool. Woulda been better if you had gone.”
“I’m surprised you didn’t get killed by a guard,” Hunk replied.
“They tried, but they couldn’t shoot this face.” Lance said, “Right, Keith?”
“Who’s Keith?” Hunk asked. He looked up and screamed, dropping the spoon he had been using to stir his food.
“Hi, I’m Keith,” Keith said, sticking out his hand for Hunk to shake, “I’m Lance’s alien boyfriend.”
‘Nice,’ Lance thought, ‘I guess he’s my alien boyfriend.’
Hunk just stood there gaping for a second before regaining his composure. He shook Keith’s hand. “Pleasure to meet you.”
Hunk looked at Lance in disbelief, “You actually got into Area 51?”
Lance nodded, “Yep.”
“And there actually were aliens there?”
“Yep.”
“And you actually freed them?”
“Right-o.”
“And then one of them was actually willing to date you?”
“Don’t sound so surprised!” Lance protested, “I’m a catch.”
“Lance is a beyond suitable mate,” Keith interjected.
Hunk looked uncomfortable, “I’m just surprised that aliens exist.”
“We do indeed, although I am half human.”
“How does that work?” Hunk asked.
Keith shrugged. “I was not privy to this information during my period of captivity, and I was unaware of my heritage until this period. You could ask my half-brother, Shiro. He knew our father better than I did.”
Hunk nodded. “Neato. Want some Palusami?”

FAQ
General Questions
Are these the same mods that did [insert failed zine here]? No. None of our mods have ever run a failed zine. Some of us have been contributors for them though so we know your pain. We are doing everything we can to be sure that doesn't happen to us. All our mods have access to the zine email and socials as well as contributor submissions so if one of us were to disappear the rest would be able to pull it together. Finances are being handled by our head mods (umbraja and kdxart) who are both professional graphic designers with experience in small business management and print publications. The rest of the mods are being given updates and could take over finances if the head mods were to die in a firey laptop explosion.
Are these the same mods that did last year's Kidge Zine? Yes. Most of us anyway. We lost a few but also added some new faces and learned a whole lot - mostly about the horrors of shipping and taxes. We did a good job last year and hope to do even better this time around! We've also padded our schedule so there shouldn't be as many delays.
I'm so excited - when will the zine come out? As of right now we are shooting for a delivery date of early June, 2020. We may have an early (kickstart) round of preorders in the new year (with Valentines Day merch) for those who are super dedicated to getting this thing made but that's not set in stone. We may modify the schedule if we fall behind or need to take more orders to reach our stretch goals. See our Tentative Schedule for more information.
OMG I NEED this, how can I help make this zine a thing? The best thing anyone can do is reblog our posts to help get the word out. If you want to do more you could make a money donation to help cover costs (and enter to win a Limited Edition Bundle). Just buy Pidge some coffee on Ko-fi: ko-fi.com/kidgezine.
Zines are usually self-financing so why are you talking about money donations? Because it lets those of us who have extra money subsidize the cost for those that can't afford it so we all get a better product. A self-financed publication has to price itself to cover the full cost of production but that severely limits the number of artists and writers we can put into it and what merch we can sell alongside it. Last year we had over 50 contributors create a 200 page full color book with lots of merch and priced it all considerably under cost so that our community could actually afford to buy it. We still lost money in the end but it was less than our finance officer had put aside to cover it and that is thanks to the many, wonderful people who were willing to kindly donate.
How do I go about donating to help cover costs? First, thank you so much for the willingness to help out. All you need to do is buy Pidge some coffee on Ko-fi: ko-fi.com/kidgezine. This will also enter you for a chance to win a Limited Edition Bundle when the zine comes out.
Are profits from zine sales going to a charity of some kind? No. Unless you would consider next year's Kidge Zine a charity, then sure. Truth is we don't expect to make money. We hope it does better than last year so we don't end up covering a loss but we're pretty sure it's not going to profit. In the very unlikely event that we do turn a profit the funds will stay in the Kidge Zine account for use next year.
Contributor Questions
Will contributors be paid for their work on the zine? We would love to pay our contributors but, due to legal and logistical concerns, the staff voted that no one should get paid for this endeavor - not even the staff. We are giving contributors a free digital copy of the zine and a discount on buying the physical copy and merch. The discount amount will depend on stretch goals so we can't provide specifics at this time.
I want to give you content for this zine, how do I do that? Read over the Requirements and fill out the applications listed there.
What kind of content is allowed? We're pretty chill but we do have a few Requirements to follow. Check that link for specifics but the short of it is pretty much anything featuring Keith and Pidge in some sort of fantasy situation. It doesn't have to be romantic, AUs and canon are both allowed, so long as those two are together in some way. We're not even going to limit it to the usual digital art and narrative writing so if you want to do something unusual give it a try. We'll accept: cosplay photos, sculptures, journals, poetry, songs, schematics, editorials, things I can't even think of right now - pretty much anything Kidge related is welcome.
I want to write but English is not my first language, is that OK? Some of my favorite authors don't speak English at all and some of my favorite fanfics are written by people who only know it as a second or even third language. So long as you can get your writing translated to English our staff will work with you to get it polished and sounding natural. You just have to be willing to go through that editing process with us.
Will everyone who applies be accepted as a contributor? We're going to try and include everyone but since the zine is a print publication it's going to cost real money for every piece we include. If we get too many submissions and put all of them in the book it would end up costing too much for most of y'all to afford. Nobody wants that. So we might have to leave some things out of the book itself but will be more than happy to include any work that gets left out in the pdf version so long as it follows all the rules. This will allow us to produce a better product while not excluding anyone from participation.
How will contributors be chosen? Our staff will use the samples provided in your application to judge your average quality of work so be sure to give us good examples. We will be looking at your work only, not your popularity or participation in the fandom, so don't worry if you're new to the ship or just don't know anyone. Some of our staff don't know many people and our production designer hasn't even seen the show (she just does very good work). Art will be judged on overall aesthetic, perspective/proportions appropriate for the style, composition/balance, and technique. Writing will be judged on overall readability, characterization, plot, style, and flow. We will not judge grammar because we want to include non-native English speakers. Just be ready for an editing process where we'll help you get the grammar fixed before publication.
When will I know if I'm accepted as a contributor? Acceptance emails will be sent out November 1st. Everyone should get an email so if you don't get yours then ask a mod to see what's up. We had trouble with emails getting lost in junk filters last year so be sure to check for that.
Do you have a deadline for submissions? We have multiple deadlines to keep y'all on track but the finished work should be turned in by February 15th. See the Tentative Schedule for more information.
Is this canon only or are AUs allowed? We're not gonna limit setting so canon or any other universe is allowed. Have fun with it.
What if I don't want to write/draw something Fantasy themed? Fantasy is such a broad theme that we are going to be strict about it this time but we're certain y'all will be able to find something you like that fits. Pretty much anything that's not limited by real world physics is, technically, Fantasy. So canon universe is Fantasy. So are superheroes, any sort of mythology, folklore, most horror, sci-fi, steam punk, supernatural, occult, and way too much else for me to list.

sugar rush
in which the paladins make a quick stop at earth, lotor tries hot chocolate, and keith gets a long overdue gay awakening.
written for keitorsecretsanta
a/n: hello @parslynne, i’m your secret santa, i hope you like this fic!! i tried to fit in the stuff on your wishlist, but i think it turned out more gen than shippy, sorry >_<
happy holidays!
earth, lotor thinks, is a very small planet. it’s a wonder how the empire hasn’t crushed it yet, given how behind it is in terms of technology development, if the paladins’ amazement at galra machinery is anything to go by. he is wise enough to keep these thoughts to himself though, as they are briefed on a new mission in the main bridge.
the instructions are simple — mingle with the population, gather intel, find out if the leaders are willing to form an alliance, and maybe plant a few surveillance drones around if the opportunity arises.
“well,” pidge scoffs, and lotor does not need to look to know that she is pushing her spectacles up the bridge of her nose, “alliance talks might take a while, unless the united states has a new president.” lance and hunk both make a face at this, “and they’ll have to contact and discuss this with the leaders of all the other countries as well, so i think we’ll have plenty of time to mingle!” she smiles with barely-concealed glee.
“you are not run by a single government?” he finds himself asking, and gets treated to an extensive lecture on earth’s politics, not that lotor minds, of course. he’ll need all the help he can get to manage an empire that refuses to acknowledge him as its leader. the conversation soon derails to other things, like supplies and clothing. the paladins are scandalised when they realise that lotor’s idea of casual wear is simply just his flight suit, but with less armor.
“that’s it,” lance decides, “we’re going shopping.”
shopping, lotor thinks, is probably more trouble than it’s worth. they make it to the mall relatively unscathed, save the occasional stares and questions about his ‘cosplay’ that confuse him to no end. his ears are natural, thank you very much. so is his skin, and — “why do they think i’m wearing a wig?” he frowns, as lance makes a very valiant effort to not, in his own words ‘lose his shit’. lotor still doesn’t know what excrement has to do with laughing, but he chalks it up as one of those ‘earthling’ things that he will perhaps never comprehend. even keith, the former red paladin, looks amused at his plight, lips twitching in amusement as lotor ducks away from yet another round of staring passers-by.
“here,” pidge hands him a small, flat compact, filled with some sort of peach-coloured powder. lotor prods at it curiously. “use this. it’ll help you mask the colour of your skin,” she explains.
now this, he understands. while it has been relatively well-established that he is an ally of the coalition (although many of them are not too happy about it, if the wary, borderline hostile, glances shot at him say anything), his appearance would only serve to garner them attention, and that was the least of the things they wanted to deal with right now.
(he does not know how old the paladins are in galra years, but he does know that most of them are still children, thrust into the middle of a conflict none of them should have been involved in. this break would be good for them.)
they are dressed in what appears to be casual earthen attire — terribly unsuitable for combat, but then again, lotor supposes, there is no need for that at the moment. lotor is handed a large top, something hunk calls a ‘sweater’. he tugs it on, examining the stitching with visible curiosity. it is much unlike the form-fitting fabric used to make their combat suits, or the sturdier fabric of their armor.
the weather on earth, he soon realises, is a lot more unpredictable than on any other planet he’s visited — and he’s been alive for hundreds of decaphoebs. the wind today, in particular, is terribly strong, and he winces as his hair whips around his face, obstructing his vision as he follows the group down the city streets. pidge, lance and hunk take the lead easily, with the green paladin chattering excitedly about finally getting some “good fucking food”. lotor fails to see how… intercourse, of all things, is related to food. it must be another one of their earthling things, he decides, pulling his hair up into a much more manageable ponytail.
keith likes to think that he is a good person. he pays his (figurative) taxes, eats his alien veggies, does his best on missions… so what on earth did he do to deserve two years of repressed teenage hormones slamming into him like a freight truck when he watches lotor sweep his hair back into a tight ponytail. he swallows, feeling like it’s suddenly much too hot in his coat, despite the chilly winds buffeting them every few steps.
(and then, the memory of their only interaction replays in his head. specifically, the exact moment keith had tackled lotor to the ground in order to save him from getting caught up in an explosion. even more specifically — of how they had been pressed together for those few seconds, and how the way his heart had sped up might not be entirely because of the situation they were in.)
oh, he thinks, with growing dread, oh no.
is this some sort of delayed galra puberty thing? he wonders, and makes a note to ask krolia about it later. he’s dealt with enough human puberty shit, and he sure as hell doesn’t want to deal with galra puberty, if it’s even a thing.
they make a stop at a cafe to grab some hot chocolate. “we’ll go on ahead first — there’s no hot topic here, sorry keith,” lance snickers, throwing an arm over hunk as they head back out into the cold, while pidge eyes him, and then lotor, calculatively, like he’s a gadget she’s trying to tinker with. keith does not like that look. not one bit. he resolves to keep a close eye on her, just in case.
he turns his attention to his companion. aside from the tips of his ears, lotor looks like a perfectly regular human. he eyes the cup of hot chocolate in front of him with undisguised curiosity, blowing cautiously at it before taking an experimental sip. then he takes another. and another, looking absolutely starstruck. oh no, keith thinks, that’s cute.
lotor continues to sip at his hot chocolate, completely unaware that keith is probably, in pidge terms — astral projecting, as they drink. with nothing else to do, they make stilted conversation, and it is only when keith asks a tentative question about galran customs that the ice between them is broken completely. lotor comes to life before him, his eyes practically sparkling as he speaks of social norms and etiquette — less bloodthirsty things that the galra were known for. it’s terribly endearing, keith realises.
there is something different about talking to lotor, now that they’re on the same side of the war. questions spill out faster than his filter can stop them, and he finds himself listening avidly as tales of his galra ancestors fill the space between them.
all in all, their trip back to earth has been fruitful, he thinks, as they’re walking back to their lodgings together, their shoulders occasionally brushing against each other as lotor leans down to tell keith about the galra equivalent of something on the streets.
(unseen by them, pidge chances a glance back, and smiles.)

‘Lance wasn’t sure if he’d imagined the brief tremble at the corner of Keith’s lips or not, that slight stutter that promised a smile. But before he could guess further, Keith gave his knee a shove and got to his feet. He reached out to him, “I’m done here, and I’ve still got some daisies to sell you.”
“Yeah,” Lance agreed, looking down at the extended palm, noting the little Saturn tattoo on the inside of Keith’s wrist where the sleeve hiked. He took the hand, “better not overprice those too, you asshole.”’

Lance and Keith are rival cosplayers, who only know each other by their online usernames. They are fiercely competitive, but are also desperately attracted to each other. You’d think they would just get together already, but there’s a couple of problems:
1. Keith crossplays, so Lance has absolutely no idea that Keith is a boy.
2. Both of them are idiots, and can’t seem to figure out that that hot cosplayer they like, is also that hot guy that they drool over every day at school.

“This situation is a bit more complicated than we initially realized.”
Lance raises an eyebrow, but Pidge is the one to question that. “Define complicated.”
Allura takes no more time beating around the bush, “Well, I received a transmission. Keith and Lance–from the future, that is–would like to have their daughter back.“
or: Lance and Keith deal with a walking spoiler, in the form of a little girl who just wants to get back to her own home.

Aside from a couple nightmares in the past few nights, it was relaxing being able to be in Vegas with Matt and Hunk. It felt good not to stress over school for a bit, and it felt good not to be alone.
It also hadn’t been the last time Pidge ended up staying at Hunk’s. Lance took to using the couch when he found the two of them cuddled up on the couch a second night. Sharing his bed also meant he didn’t wake her when he left for work.
After a nightmare, Pidge woke up to an empty bed and the sound of scratching at the bedroom door. Pidge caught her breath and went to open the door only for Leon to immediately hop up on his hind legs and place his paws at her hips like a hug. Pidge pet his head and realized her hand was shaking.
Then, because Leon was the only one with her and he was a dog, she fell to her knees and allowed the tears to stream into his fur as he nuzzled against her, keeping his paws firm on her arms.
It wasn’t the nightmare itself that drove her to tears. It was the fact that she still got them so much, and she feared she might never break free from their grip. It was suffocating to wake up to them all the time. She felt like she might never get her peace from everything she went through. In a way it terrified her more to think that the people she loved still had to deal with it and that it could possibly drive them away.
Leon sniffed and huffed, bumping his wet nose against her cheek. Pidge smiled and ruffled his hair. “You’re a good dog, buddy.” Leon’s tail wagged frantically. “Thanks. I’m okay now.” Leon stayed on her until Pidge nudged him gently so she could stand. Even then, he began to follow her as she went to the kitchen to make herself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
About an hour after she woke up, Lance came back to the apartment, having finished his last book signing. He plopped down on the couch beside Pidge and laid down to rest his head on her thigh.
“Rough day?” she asked. Leon hopped onto the couch to curl up by Lance’s stomach, resting his head on Lance’s side.
“Not really,” he sighed. “Just… tiring.” Pidge raised an eyebrow and lowered the volume of the TV.
“Care to elaborate?”
Lance huffed and turned to lay on his back, staring at the ceiling. “You know how when you watch a show or read a book, you have favorite characters?” Pidge nodded. “It’s really great to hear about it from the people who read my books. The kids will have little drawings or some people will dress up. And it’s so funny to see people dressing up as me or Hunk or you.” He sighed and met her eyes. “Today, there were a lot of people asking about Kyle.”
Pidge furrowed her eyebrows in confusion before realizing what he meant. “Oh. Keith.” Lance nodded.
“And usually, I’m good with that! Like I said, I made my peace with it, kind of. It’s not like we hate each other, we just had different plans. And I’m usually good about not letting my emotions get in the way when I see the cosplay or the artwork or get the questions. I mean some people manage a really good resemblance sometimes.”
“So what made it harder this time?”
Lance took a breath and sat up to ruffle through his messenger bag. He had a few papers all in their own plastic sleeves. “Ever since you and Hunk found me, I guess a part of me has also been waiting on Keith. I don’t know anything about him at all, and that didn’t bother me until I realized how much I needed you guys. The latest book has a lot of the beginning of our relationship, so of course….” He held out the papers and Pidge took them.
The first one looked like a kid had drawn it, in that cute little anime style Pidge remembered people doing when she was in middle school. It had what Pidge assumed to be Keith- or Kyle- with his arms around Lance. She moved to the next page. This one seemed like an actual page from a graphic novel. A comic of what Pidge assumed was one of the scenes in the book, because she recalled Lance telling her and Hunk about this moment when he was gushing about Keith while they tried to run a diagnostic. The next page had cute mini versions with big heads of Lance and Keith doing cute little things with hearts around the borders. The next page had a beautiful watercolor version of the two of them kissing.
She sighed and looked at him. He was holding out a few more papers. “There’s some of you and Hunk too, if you want them,” he said tiredly.
Pidge rolled her eyes and took the papers, stacking them all on the coffee table. “Lance, come here.” She opened her arms and Lance laid back down as she cradled him. He hid his face in the fabric of her hoodie- which was actually Hunk’s- and Leon took his place by Lance’s feet. “It’s okay to miss him.”
“I know, but it feels fresh again.” His voice came muffled and weak. Pidge hugged him a little tighter. “You really should look at the ones of you and Hunk though, they’re really cute.”
Pidge laughed ruffled his hair. “You’ve got some talented fans.” Lance turned his head, no longer hiding his face as he smiled and nodded.
--
When Hunk came home, he treated them both to dinner at a restaurant, and Matt met up with them when he was off of work.
While Hunk and Lance went on a tangent about their jobs, Matt nudged Pidge’s arm and leaned over.
“You okay?”
She frowned and nodded. “Why?”
“You had a nightmare, didn’t you?”
“How do you know that?”
Matt rolled his eyes. “You’re my little sister. I know you pretty well. You always act skittish after a nightmare, and you look like you haven’t slept.”
“Gee thanks,” she muttered.
“You know that’s not what I meant.” He looked over at Lance and Hunk then lowered his voice. “You know if you need to talk, I’m always here for you, Katie.”
She smiled at him and nodded, squeezing his hand as a thank you.
They stayed at the restaurant long after finishing their food. They talked about everything, from the memories of their time in space, the games they’d play when they got bored, or just recalling how naive they were at such a young age to the various changes and personal stories from the last five years actually on Earth.
Just as Pidge had expected, Matt and Lance were able to bounce their jokes off each other with ease, practically being two sides of the same coin. It led to Pidge laughing almost non-stop until she was crying and hunched over with a stomach ache.
Matt didn’t ask if Pidge was coming home with him seeing as she’d been spending her time with Hunk and Lance, but Pidge did want a day with her brother. So she gave a Hunk a kiss on the cheek and said she’d see him tomorrow then hugged Lance before racing over to catch up with Matt.
Matt smiled, the scar on his face outlining the curve of his cheeks when he did, and threw an arm around her. “Aw, you miss me.”
Pidge laughed and rolled her eyes.
When they got home, Matt went into the kitchen to make himself a coffee. Pidge had been so full, she had no idea how he still had room for it.
“Do you still get nightmares?” she asked as he looked for a mug. “You never tell me about them.”
He looked over at her and shrugged. “Every now and then. Not often. They’ve been sparser as the years go by.”
“When do you think that’ll happen for me?”
Matt poured his coffee and sat down across from her. “I don’t know. I mean, you don’t get them as much when you have classes. I’ve noticed you don’t call me about them much. Then every time you visit, you get them more.”
Pidge grimaced. “What, so you think you’re triggering them?”
Matt shrugged. “I don’t really know, Katie. But I do think you should talk to somebody when you get them. Me or Hunk or Lance or maybe even your roommate. You said you told her about Voltron and everything, right?” She nodded. “I think it would help not to bottle up the nightmares.”
“But it’s all the same. Or about the same stuff. At this point, I’m more panicked about the fact that I can’t stop getting the nightmares than the nightmares themselves.” She frowned and ran her hand through her hair. “Anyway, I don’t want to talk about them. I just want to hang out with you.”
Matt scrunched up his nose. “Hanging out with your big brother? What a nerd.” Pidge grabbed the roll of paper towels on the table and threw it at him.
--
The next morning, Pidge decided to go sightseeing. Lance said he was feeling a little sick, so he didn’t join her, and Matt and Hunk were both working. She didn’t want to stay in the apartment all day, even though she had already seen the Strip multiple times at this point. It was still cool to see the booths with little tricks and the street performances. Since it was spring break, the entire Vegas was still very much alive during the day, not just at night.
Sure enough, as Pidge was walking out of Caesars Palace, she saw a girl being held up by her friends as she walked, obviously wasted. As she walked away, her phone started buzzing with an incoming call. She pulled it out and saw Hunk’s picture on the screen, which immediately made her smile.
“Hello?”
“Hey, honeybee. What are you doing?”
“Just walking around. How’s work?”
“Slow, actually. We’re closing early. I was about to grab lunch, where are you?”
“I’m actually pretty close to the bakery, I can meet you there.”
“Perfect! I’ll see you in a bit.”
They counted to three and hung up. Pidge walked across the street and down a few blocks until she reached the bakery. The closed sign was on, but Hunk was at the register with one of the workers and went over to open the door for her, greeting her with a kiss.
Pidge wasn’t going to lie, the act made her feel little butterflies in her stomach.
“It’s all locked away, Chef,” the girl at the counter said. “Are you locking up?”
“Yeah, go ahead and clock out, Amy.” She nodded, meanwhile Hunk turned to Pidge and raised an eyebrow. “So, what are you in the mood for?”
“Honestly, right now? Cake,” she said. The smell of confectioner’s sugar and frosting was making her mouth water, and all the impossible cakes around her were so colorful, it only made them that much more enticing.
Hunk laughed at her. “Really?” She nodded. “Well, I’ve got an idea. Come on.” He took her hand and led her back to the kitchen. Amy left out the back door with a wave, leaving Pidge and Hunk alone in the bakery.
“Are you making me a cake?” she asked.
Hunk laughed and grabbed an apron that was hung up before going over to her. Pidge raised an eyebrow. He draped the apron over her and gave her a cheeky smile. “No, you’re gonna make one with me.”
“That’s a horrible idea on several levels,” she said, as he turned her around to tie the apron.
“You’ll be fine.” He turned her back around, tucked a strand of her hair back with a gentle hand, and kissed her nose. “Come on.”
Weak-kneed, Pidge did.
He got out all the ingredients, laying them out along the counter, followed by the utensils. Pidge stared at all of it, feeling completely out of her element. She’d seen Hunk bake several times before. She’d watched and taste-tested and handed over ingredients or utensils as he asked for them mid conversation. Hell, she’d even fought the goo machines with him.
But actually partaking in the cooking? She had never done that. Hunk was gourmand, what could she possibly have to offer?
“Honeybun, it’s not that bad. Come on, I’ll be helping you with it.” With a light hand at the small of her back, he nudged her forward and began to take her step by step on how to make a cake from scratch.
As she did it, it started to seem a little easier. She was just measuring out ingredients and adding them to the bowl. Hunk smeared butter and sprinkled flour onto some baking pans, humming something under his breath.
Then he handed Pidge a mixer and told her to beat the wet ingredients before adding them to the dry ones. Pidge wasn’t sure why, but she did it. Her tongue stuck out slightly as she concentrated on mixing the wet ingredients. She poured them into the dry ingredients and turned the mixer on again.
Suddenly, the flour, sugar, and the egg mix all flew out of the bowl, startling Pidge further and making her knock the bowl over onto herself.
All she could hear was Hunk’s unreserved laughter.
“Pidge, you’re not supposed to start the mixer that fast!” he wheezed between breathless laughter, leaning against the counter for support.
“My finger slipped!  Stop laughing at me!”
But Hunk’s full laughter already had him keeling over. It resonated through the kitchen and Pidge didn’t even mind that she was now covered in milk and flour and eggs. Still, she turned and grabbed a fistful of flour, flinging at him, making the crown of his head completely white.
“Wh-what! That’s not fair!” he said, still smiling with remnants of laughter in his eyes. He grabbed a fistful of his own bag of flour and blew it back at her.
“Oh, you jerk!” Pidge yelped, squeezing her eyes shut. She grabbed the bowl of what remained of the mixture. Hunk seemed to know what she was going to do before she did it.
“No, no, no!” he said, immediately backing up to the other side of the kitchen. He felt for the fridge handle behind him and blindly grabbed for something as Pidge neared him slowly. “Pidge, I’ve got a full container of whipped cream, and I’m not afraid to use it!”
Pidge smiled and grabbed a fistful of gunk from the bowl. “I dare you.” She raised an eyebrow.
Suddenly he was dashing across to the other end and she was running after him, throwing fistful after fistful while he flung back handfuls of whipped cream that clung to her clothes. Laughter filled the kitchen the more and more intense their food fight got. Suddenly they were throwing eggs, and Pidge managed to smear butter on Hunk’s face, then Hunk managed to douse Pidge in sporadic splatters of milk.
Soon they were covered in various ingredients, both refusing to back down until they ended up slipping on something they spilled. They collapsed on the floor trying to catch their breaths.
“Oh my God, my kitchen’s a mess,” Hunk said with a laugh, resting his head back on the wall. “How do you screw up a cake to this level?”
“In my defense, you helped in the wreckage.” Pidge scooted closer to him. She wrinkled her nose as she leaned in to kiss him. “You stink.”
“You got egg in my hair,” he pointed out. Pidge laughed and shrugged, running her fingers through her own matted hair. “Come on, the sink should be big enough to wash our hair out a bit.” He stood up and took her hand to help her up.
After managing to uncomfortably wash out their hair, they both put their hair up and wiped down what they could of their arms and faces. Their clothes would sadly remain until they got a change of clothes.
Before Pidge could start helping him clean the kitchen, Hunk told her to wait and took out the polaroid camera she’d gotten him from his office. He took two pictures of the scene before putting the camera and the photos back in his office and getting back.
“Okay, now we can clean.”
--
Pidge planned on never again having a food fight in a big kitchen. It was ridiculously tedious to clean everything down. Even with Hunk’s playfulness as he twirled her around and hummed different songs while they cleaned up together, Pidge ended up feeling exhausted, and still pretty gross from the stickiness of her clothes.
But it was a memory she would cherish forever. Hopefully it would be a memory to overlap one of the many horrible ones that contributed to restless nights.
In the end, Hunk did make her a cake. He took over while she watched and sat on a counter, just like old times. Except this time, he took to passing time by providing Pidge with light kisses and gentle nose bumps and sweet smiles.
When the cakes were done and cooled, Hunk went back into baker mode and began cutting the tops off before layering the cake. Pidge took to eating the pieces he cut off as he blocked her from seeing what he was decorating it with.
She could only see the Hunch of his shoulders, the slow, patient movements as he worked.
Finally he turned and presented her with her cake.
It was decorated in green frosting with a pretty yellow honeysuckle bunch and two small bees. Pidge smiled as she looked at it and covered her mouth. “Hunk, this is so pretty!”
“I would make you a much more intricate one like the ones on display, but you kept eating the scraps so I knew I had to feed you.”
Pidge scoffed and rolled her eyes. “I love it,” she said.
Hunk smiled and cut her a slice. “Try it.” Pidge took the slice and ate a forkful, sighing contentedly. “Good?” Pidge nodded, stuffing her face with more cake. Hunk laughed wiped some of the frosting from her lower lip. “I’m glad you like it, honeybee.”
Pidge set the cake aside and took Hunk’s hands in her own as he leaned in to give her a soft kiss. “I’m really glad I’m here with you,” she whispered. “And I’m so sorry about all that stupid stuff I’d say on the phone about you meeting someone new. Now that I’m here with you, it just feels so stupid-”
“Hey,” he said, cupping her face. “You’re not stupid, Pidge. I get why you said that, and I get why you worry. And the people that think we can’t make this work have no idea what we’ve already been through. I know you like to plan everything out and think of every possible scenario, so I really do get it, Pidge. Just….” He pressed her hand up to his lips. “I need to know you believe me when I tell you I won’t ever do anything to hurt you.”
Pidge smiled and nodded. “I believe you. I love you.” Hunk’s lips parted slightly before curling into a smile.
“You mean that?”
Pidge bit her lip. Saying it made her feel lighter. Everything she felt in response to Hunk, every wild butterfly, every giddy laugh, and every moment of peace…. This was what they all amounted to. To this unfiltered love she hadn’t even realized she’d been nurturing for so long already.
“Yeah,” she breathed.
Hunk smiled and kissed her again before whispering, “Oute alofa ia te oe.”
Pidge furrowed her eyebrows. “You’ve said that before, haven’t you?” Hunk’s smile grew wider. “Wait. No.” He chuckled and kissed the tip of her nose. “I can’t believe you told me you loved me and I didn’t even realize it.”
Hunk touched her cheek lightly, looking at her with soft, big, brown eyes that made her feel like she was the most important person on the planet. And maybe to him she was for that moment.
“Okay, as much as I would like to keep kissing you, we need to get a change of clothes because they’re really starting to smell,” he said, pulling her off the counter. Pidge sniffed her sweater and grimaced. “I’ll put this in a box and we can take it back. We should also probably get some actual food.”
“I’ll call Lance and see if he wants anything. He said he was feeling sick.”
Hunk busied himself with putting the cake up, and Pidge followed him to his car as she dialed Lance.
“Hey, what’s up?” he answered. He sounded… flustered.
“You okay?”
“Yeah.”
Pidge hummed. “How are you feeling?”
“Um. Tired.”
“Well, are you hungry?”
“Yeah, actually I was about to order Thai. You coming over?”
“Yep. Hunk’s with me, he closed up early.” She looked over at Hunk. “Lance is ordering Thai.”
“Tell him he’d better be using his own card this time.”
Pidge laughed and relayed the information to Lance.
“Wa-wha-huh? -idge? You- cutting ou- guess you’re going through a tunnel, bye!”
“We’re not-” He hung up and Pidge stared at the phone. “That was a horrible impression of a broken call.” In the driver’s seat, Hunk groaned and shook his head.
When they got home, the Thai food was already there and Lance was stuffing his face with rice at the table. “You’re paying my next bill, man,” Hunk said as he grabbed an eggroll.
“What the hell happened to you two and why do you smell like a dairy aisle?” Lance responded through a mouthful of food.
“Food fight,” Pidge said. Lance nodded and furrowed his eyebrows as they went into Hunk’s room. Hunk lended her some drawstring shorts and a hoodie. She went into the bathroom to change and once they were both in clothes that didn’t smell, they joined Lance at the table.
“Pidge said you were sick,” Hunk said. He looked at him and put a hand to his forehead. “You don’t feel warm. What’s wrong?”
Lance looked at them, stuffing more food in his mouth. Then he said, “I’m heart sick. I have a broken heart.”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Pidge answered in exasperation. “What are you talking about?”
“Being heartbroken totally counts as being sick, Katie.” Lance stuck his tongue out at her and Hunk chuckled at his expense.
“Alright, well who broke your heart?”
This time, the light playfulness in Lance’s eyes dimmed a bit and he opened his laptop. “It’s not….” He sighed and took a breath. “I found Keith.”
“What?”
Lance ran a hand through his hair and hugged his food closer. “Not like in real life, and not like… to where I can contact him. I just….” He turned the laptop and Pidge and Hunk leaned forward to see the screen better.
All she saw was a variety of photos from different places, different countries. “Uh?”
Lance rolled his eyes and scrolled, clicking on an album. This one had what looked like a silhouette standing somewhere with a pretty mountain backdrop covered in fog and a soft blue sky. There was a caption on the bottom that said, I see you in every sky. Lance clicked through the album. Each photo had a silhouette which Pidge assumed was Keith against a pretty scene whether it was cobblestone roads, between clotheslines in what looked like some ethereal field, or blending into the silhouettes of trees. Each photo had different captions that seemed too vague to pertain to the photo itself like I wanted to believe, Has time erased the love from your life?, The stars are nothing in comparison to your galaxy.
“How do you know it’s him?” Hunk asked. The silhouette never had any actual features. Short hair, a lithe posture, and various clothes for the weather. It wasn’t like Keith was still wearing his red crop jacket or still sporting a stylized mullet anymore.
Lance scrolled all the way down and clicked the “about” button. It led to a resume style page with a portrait photo of someone who was undeniably Keith. The burn scar was still prominent on his right cheek and Pidge had yet to meet anyone with the same lavender eyes. His hair was much shorter than the last time she’d seen him, but he was still all angles and sharp edges. He was holding one of those fancy cameras, but his expression remained somber. He could’ve been a model, and Pidge found ironic that he preferred to be behind the camera.
“Oh my God,” Hunk breathed.
“Apparently he’s traveled to major cities already and started taking to finding the lesser known villages and small corners of the world to photograph them and make them known. I don’t really know what the captions are for, I can’t tell if it’s a story or not, but… yeah. He’s a fucking photographer somewhere out in the world.”
“How did you find this?”
Lance blushed slightly. “I Googled him. I went through a bunch of Facebook and Instagram profiles with the same name before I found one that talked about a photograph website. I didn’t think it’d be him, and I almost gave up, but I figured what if? And it was him.”
Pidge looked at Hunk and then back at the screen before looking at Lance. “Are you going to try to find him? Contact him?”
Lance shoveled food into his mouth again and huffed. “There’s no contact information on there. It doesn’t even say where he’s at right now. And there’s no actual personal bios, just explanations of the project and the captions on the photos.”
“Yeah, that sounds like Keith,” Hunk said. “Do you want to find a way to contact him?”
Lance stirred his rice and Pidge noticed Leon trot a little closer, curling by his legs. “I don’t know,” he whispered. “I mean… he’s doing what he wants, right? He’s seeing the world. I’m in New York and after all this time, it’s not like we can just…. What if he found someone already? Someone who travels with him and takes his pictures and he takes their pictures and….” Lance shook his head. “We already had our story. And it’s over. If he doesn’t have any contact information, it’s because he doesn’t want to be contacted.” He put the food on the table and groaned, placing his face in his hands. “It’s been so long and all of these feelings are just flooding back. I don’t even know what to do about them. All that love and the hurt and the sadness and the nostalgia it’s all just… back.”
“That’s normal, man,” Hunk said, scooting his chair closer to Lance to put a hand on his shoulder. “You guys were still in love when you broke it off. Most people who break up see it coming or at least there’s a reason that you can’t go back from. You guys ended it because you were both taking different paths. You didn’t stop loving him.”
“What if he did?”
Pidge furrowed her eyebrows, her heart breaking with the amount of pain in Lance’s voice. Hunk brought him into a hug and Leon stood on his hind legs to paw at Lance’s arm. Lance sighed and looked at Leon, petting him gently. “I think I’m gonna take a nap. I was up all night obsessing over that website, and now I’ve eaten most of my feelings, so…. Can I use your bed?” Hunk nodded and Lance shut his laptop before heading off to Hunk’s room.
As soon as the door shut, Pidge looked at Hunk. “Can I see your laptop?”
Hunk frowned, but got up to bring her the laptop. She turned it on and searched the website, happy to see that Hunk already had the same software she’d downloaded on her own computer for occasional hacking. “What are you doing?” he asked, leaning over to look over her shoulder.
“I’m figuring out where Keith’s at.”
“What?”
Pidge used the pictures to trace the locations, finding places she’d never even known existed. Keith had really gone into the most obscure places.
“Honeycomb, he could be anywhere at this point, finding the photo locations won’t- is that a government website?”
“Wouldn’t be the first time,” she answered.
“In a few years, I’m gonna be visiting you in a federal prison, aren’t I?”
“Bold of you to assume I’ll get caught. I’m offended.”
“Well- whoa, what the hell?” Pidge had managed to pull up a file on Keith. “How…?”
“We were paladins. We fought aliens. You think the government isn’t keeping tabs on us?” Hunk grabbed his food and pulled his chair to sit closer to Pidge as she scrolled. “Jesus Christ. He’s been to over 100 countries. And even more cities and towns.”
“Is that his permanent address?”
“It’s what’s listed, but he hasn’t been there in over a year,” she muttered under her breath.
“This is borderline stalking.”
Pidge looked over at him and raised an eyebrow. “Everything we’ve been through, you’re drawing the line at this?”
Hunk laughed and shook his head. “Absolutely not. My girl’s a fucking genius.” Pidge winked and returned to the screen. “What about a phone number?”
“There’s a house phone listed. No cellphone. God, why is he a real life cryptid, what the fuck?”
“Maybe Lance is right. Maybe he doesn’t want to be found. He doesn’t have any family on Earth, there’s no one for him to stay in contact with.”
“We were his family! We spent all that time together, building relationships, fighting a war, and we created our own family. We all wanted to be found, you, me, Lance. Keith does too.” Her fingers flew over the keys almost maniacally. “There. If a former paladin is traveling, you can count on our government following them. He last made it to… Attu island.”
“Holy shit. You actually found him.”
“Why do you sound so surprised?”
“I mean I knew you would, just not that fast.” Pidge shrugged. There was a beat of silence, where they both stared at the name of the island on the screen. “Lance doesn’t even know if he wants to contact him though. I don’t think you should tell him yet. Let him sort out what he’s feeling.”
Pidge took a breath and eventually resigned, nodding her head and exiting the site. But she made a note in her phone of Keith’s website before finally dropping the subject fully.
Hunk wrapped an arm around her. They finished their food in silence, Pidge leaning against Hunk as they both tried to let all the new information sink in.
It was strange to believe that just a few hours ago, she had told Hunk she loved him for the first time. It was a moment she thought would have been big and dramatic, probably said in front of the Bellagio, and honestly, said by Hunk first. Of course, he did say it first, but she didn’t know that.
Now she was reeling with the fact that Lance had managed to find Keith. It was concerning that he was so hung up on finding him that he managed it, but… Pidge was the one hacking government files for information. And now they knew where he was.
Maybe it was the fact that she didn’t have much of her blood family left. All she had was Matt. The prospect of getting her space family back together felt like a necessity. To get them all back in her life, to build that support they should have been for each other from the start.
But Hunk was right. Shiro had gone under the radar with some work for the Garrison, and Keith obviously didn’t want anyone contacting him. She wondered if they missed each other. They’d been practically brothers after all. She wondered if Keith had been living through acquaintances this entire time. Five years bouncing from place to place… it couldn’t have given him time for friends, much less a relationship as Lance feared. She wondered if Shiro was okay, and if she could maybe bring herself to go back to the Garrison, if only to see him again.
Then she began to wonder about Allura and Coran. If they had rebuilt their lives, if they remembered the paladins, if Allura ever thought of them or if Coran still called her Number Five when or if he ever talked about her.
And suddenly she was crying. She hated how often she was starting to do that, and ever since Matt pointed it out, she realized it really did happen more when she wasn’t at school. In a way it made sense because at school she wasn’t surrounded by reminders or talking about the memories. But she also didn’t want it to be a bad thing because she loved being with Hunk and Lance and Matt. She was creating new memories with them.
“Oh, Pidge, come here,” Hunk murmured, pulling her from the chair and taking her to the couch where he could properly cuddle her.
“I miss them so much,” she whispered, wiping her eyes and trying to force herself to stop crying. She’d never cried this much even as a teen in a war. It was ridiculous.
“I know. I miss them too.” Hunk scratched her head soothingly, bringing her in closer. “We’re always going to hold on to pieces from our past. And honestly, knowing Keith? It seems like he’s been running from it. It won’t be long before he has to face it. For all we know, he’s just as strung up on Lance as Lance is on him.”
“How did we all make things so difficult for ourselves? We should have stuck together.”
“We all needed different things, Pidge. We just have to take it step by step.” She nodded and held onto him tighter, letting the rise and fall of his chest soothe her. “Hey.” She looked up at him. “I love you.”
Pidge smiled and bit her lip. “That’s the first time you’ve said it in English,” she whispered. He smiled at her. “I love you too.”
He pressed a kiss to both of her eyelids before kissing her lips. He cupped her face with large hands that cradled her gently, like she was fragile. She loved how safe she felt when he did that. How adored she felt because of it. She loved Hunk.
**
“Got your passport?” Pidge nodded. “Your chargers, laptop, phone?” Pidge nodded. “Do you have snacks for the flight, I know it’s a long plane ride. Here, I got you some chocolate covered pretzels and-”
“Matt, I’ll be okay,” Pidge said with a laugh. “It’s not the first time I leave.”
“I know, but the next time I see you, it’ll be for your graduation. It’s kind of freaking me out.”
“Yeah, well once I graduate, you’ll get sick of me because I’ll be living with you.”
Matt rolled his eyes and pulled her into a hug. She returned it just as tightly. When she pulled away, he was giving her the bag of pretzels which made her laugh. “Tell me when you land, okay?” She nodded. Matt turned to Lance. “You stay in touch with me. Spent a whole war without hardly a word to each other and now-”
“We’re practically giving these two a free comedy improv show,” Lance said with a laugh. “Yeah, I was a little naive as a kid. I’ll stay in touch.” Lance turned to Hunk giving him a hug and a thank you for letting him stay before pulling away.
Pidge walked over to Hunk and smiled as she thought of the last time she’d been in this airport with him. How close she’d been to kissing him, only to chicken out. It was funny to think about now.
“I love you,” Hunk murmured into her hair as he hugged her. “You’re gonna kick ass in your classes, and I’ll see you for your graduation, okay?” She nodded and got on her toes, pulling him into a kiss.
“I love you. I’ll call when I get home, okay?” Hunk nodded and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“Ready?” Lance asked. She nodded and they walked over to the person checking tickets. Hunk and Matt stayed until they’d gone through the doors.
After getting through all the tedious routines, they boarded the plane. Once take off started, Pidge focused on breathing and staying calm against the rumbling and slight shudder of the plane. She felt Lance take her hand and squeeze it.
Strangely, that helped her relax a little more. Especially since he wasn’t looking at her. He’d just taken her hand and held it tightly, giving her something to tether herself with. Leon also poked his head out from under Lance’s feet, placing his head on her lap. Soon enough, the plane leveled out and the shuddering stopped.
She loosened her grip on Lance’s hand and he let go. “I wonder when the drink cart is gonna come. I’m craving a soda.” Pidge smiled.
--
Lance flight from Massachusetts to New York wasn’t for another four hours, so he took her home and made sure she was stocked up on food to survive before they split a pizza. It was very little time before Lance had to get back to the airport.
Before going through the next goodbye, Pidge knew she had to tell him about Keith. But maybe not all once. Or maybe not everything.
“Hey, so about the website….”
What webs- oh. Yeah, what about it?”
Pidge bit her lip and shrugged. “I’m the girl that hacked into Garrison files and tricked them into thinking I was a boy for a year. I also decoded alien communication and coded upgrades into Altean castle defenses.” Lance stared at her, his eyebrows furrowed. She sighed. “I’m pretty sure I could figure out where Keith’s at so you could try and contact him…. If that’s something you wanted to do.”
“Oh. Oh God.” Lance chuckled awkwardly. “I don’t wanna ask that of-”
“Lance, you’ve helped me a lot too. You’re one of my best friends, practically another brother. I’m good at hacking and tech. So if you want my help, just ask. Think it over, you don’t need to tell me now. I just wanted you to know it was an option.”
Lance smiled and nodded. “Thanks, Pidge. I gotta sort my head out a bit, but… I’ll keep it in mind.” He hugged her tightly and added, “Good luck with the rest of school. Feel free to visit me in New York if you ever have a long weekend, okay? I can drive down, it’s not that bad of a drive.”
She laughed and nodded. “Okay. Let me know when you get home, okay?” He nodded and whistled for Leon so he could put his leash on. Pidge stayed at the door, watching as he got into the Uber and staying until the car disappeared down the street.

Pidgance AU where they meet at a anime convention cosplaying as (insert c/fanon couple here)
Like they immediately have this chemistry so the pictures fans ask them to take together is 👌
By the time the pictures stop Pidge is just so tired while Lance is basking in it
Pidge had came with Matt, Shiro, and Adam so she kinda had 3 built in body guards. Lance wasnt trying shit
Gets oddly jealous when a guy named Keith joins up with Pidge as the other ship to her character (come on guys multishipping is a thing)
Lance and Pidge exchanging tumblrs and such
Pidge being a well known cosplayer and Lance flies by the seat of his pants to finish things a week before con
Pidge's first cosplay was definitely haruhi from OHSHC (you bet your ass Lance has a Tamaki cosplay)
Lance's was Naruto
...
Do I even have to explain why?
Over the time till the next con they swap cosplans and even agree to go marching for a con they are both attending
They also swap memes but, that's a given in any good relation foundation
Lets be real you cant talk to Pidge without her having a meme ready just whips it out and lance bows down
Next con they actually hang out in and out of con for the 2-3 period so they learn a lot about eachother and lets the crushes were already there so
On the last day of con Pidge walked to her car (who remembers greenie lol) and lance has left a.Mabel confession letter on her windshield while he hid behind another car
When her face goes red lance jumps.out in his.sisters mabel sweater yelling "I rigged it!"
Needless to say them dating was no longer a rumor

Thoughts on Voltron Season 8
Last one, guys, let’s do this!
-Not gonna lie, I watched the first few seconds of S8 and immediately assumed I clicked on the wrong show
-Pidge cosplaying as Pidge is comedy gold
-The Klance sunset scene may not have been what we wanted, but it was still a sweet moment between these two nonetheless
-BABY LOTOR RETURNS!!
-Fuck this Lon guy for not wanting to be friends with Hunk
-Status report: Kosmo continues to be the goodest boy
-And Keith continues to give head scratches like a good owner should
-Veronica and Acxa are both bisexuals.  Evidence? They both have The Bob
-Zethrid offering to help Shiro is wlw/mlm solidarity
-Sometimes you just need breather episodes like Day Forty Seven
-Hunk continues to save the universe by being an absolute sweetheart
-Lotor: *shows up in Allura’s dream* Me: Hmm! Don’t like this!
-Current sexuality: Shiro winning that arm-wrestling contest
-Lance: Now I’m standing, y’all happy?  Bunch of jackasses standing in a circle
-OG PALADINS ARE BACK!!
-Keith is once again ready to throw hands with Zarkon anytime anywhere
-I love my good good boys…being true friends…maturing so much from where they started out…I’m like a proud mom
-ALL SIX PALADINS PILOTING TOGETHER!!! I’M SO PROUD!!!!
-Allura you deserved so much better but you also saved all realities and for that I am grateful.  You’ll always be queen of my heart
-I wanted Altean Lance but not like this
-I need a 20k fic about Pidge and her robot son
-Matt’s ponytail died so that Keith’s ponytail could live
-Krolia for empress 2k18
-Voltron may not have treated its LGBTQ rep the best but the entire series ended with a gay kiss and I am still shaking
And there you have it, folks!  I already talked about my final thoughts in a previous post but I figured you guys would want to see this as well.  Thank you for going on this journey with me!

I'm probably leaving tumblr
I will still post from time to time but from the new year I will start to be really busy with school and cosplay.
I have big projects for the next year or even two years.
That was first reason why I won't be so active
Second
Tumblr rules changed even if I don't post any nsfw staff many artists I follow leaved it and go to another platforms like Instagram or Twitter .
Third
I have my private reasons
I recently got a lot going on. I won't tell any details .
So yeah I will try to post something once in a while but I'm not promising anything.
But it's one positive thing.
My future cosplay and con's:
Con's:
Pyrkon
Magnificon
Ryucon
Animecon
Xmascon
That's probably all con's I will go next year
For the cosplays : for the next year or two xD
- obviously I will do Keith
I will try to do Keith's uniform from season 8
And make paladin armor but in kimono version
And red lion kigurumi ( I'm in middle of it but I still don't have red and white materials)
I will try to do at least one for pyrkon

I will do Hao version and it will be mostly for xmascon

I'm not 100% sure if I will make him but mostly yes
I will do military version
And it will be for ryucon
- Hiro from webtoon ( paper roses by v-0-3)
Idk when I will do him xD
But it will be probably ryucon

I made him once but it was a disaster xD
But I remade him and I will take him for magnifrcon
I will do a cosplay duo with my friend as Gumi ^^

- dark magician girl from Yu-Gi-Oh
But in genderbend ver and my friend will do original ver XD so it will be funny
But it's project form 2020 xD
- xie xie from soul land 3 ( manhwa)
He looks like male version of pidge xd but in Chinese ver
-pidge from voltron
I'm not sure when I will make her
And here are probably the biggest cosplay projects : for the most of them I don't know when I will do them
- Wen Ning from Mo Dao Zu Shi
I love him he is one of the most precious cinnamon rolls I ever seen
- LAN Wangji/Zhan from Mo Dao Zu Shi
I have like 5 version of him I want to do

- Shen quing qiu from scum villain
I will make him after anime will be shown cuz idk if they change his design in anime
And this is probably the biggest from all of them xd
- Shen Wei from guardian ( Chinese drama and novel)
I'm lil scared to do him xd but I love him to much
And I will do his both versions xd I will probably don't look like him since I'm not chines but still I will have fun by making him
So that mostly all xd it's a lot
For all Chinese character I will have cosplay duo or group ( not including xie xie) so I'm really excited ^^
I will probably show my progress on my Instagram
See you soon

The group at Conventions
Lance:
- his first impression of them were that they're just for major nerds and the whole thing was pretty pointless and dumb
- newsflash Lance, you're a fuckin nerd too
- went with Pidge and Hunk for the first time to see a Marvel panel and kept going back after that
- loves buying plushies and jackets
- seriously it's a problem
- hes always wanted to cosplay but he always holds it off to the last minute so he'll usually either end up going decked out in merch clothes or a costume he bought online
- he still really wants to make his own costume one day tho
- one time he met Chris Pratt and almost cried (totally cried) when he signed his shirt
- Pidge has pictures of him in the center of a bunch of Spiderman cosplayers
- Lance claims it was the closest to a cult he will ever get to see in person
Hunk:
- is mostly there for comics, he loves going to those booths to buy new issues
- is perfect for navigating through crowds because people kind of part the way for him
- is of course the mom of the group
- "ok so we have that panel at four and the meet and greet at five. It might be cutting it close but we should be good if we take a bathroom break beforehand. Speaking of which we should probably take one now, too. Also whens the last time you ate, Pidge? I say we have lunch in about half an hour before it gets packed"
- has thought about bringing a baby leash for Lance and Pidge because they like to wander off so damn much
- doesnt like to cosplay much but he'll do it in a group setting
- hella good at spotting those good deals on merch (which is good because otherwise Lance would go into debt)
Pidge:
- total nerd but it's great
- mainly comes for video games and the occasional anime
- once cosplayed as a Homestuck character and Matt will never let her live it down
- (she got horns stuck to her head)
- is really good at making fake weapons or masks for cosplay so she'll normally set up an etsy shop a few months before the con to rake in some extra cash
- matt has suggested to open a booth but she'd rather walk around with her friends
- pin hoarder. As in,,, she literally only buys pins,,, maybe a sticker for her laptop here and there but you get the idea
- "Pidge at this rate you're gonna run out of clothes to put them on" "I am an innovator, Matt, I will find a way"
Matt:
- isnt it obvious that hes an anime nerd?
- never cosplays the same character twice
- cant wait to meet up with his fellow nerds and freak out over new seasons
- Pidge is his impulse control
- She's put a limit on how much merch he can buy
- it's mainly spent on prints and figures
- theres a video floating around on the internet of him dressed as Narruto dancing to Africa by Toto with one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes
Keith:
- he and Shiro met the group at a con
- Keith sets up booth every year to sell prints and zines
- He's actually a fairly well known artist
- He and Lance got into a lot of fandom related arguments at first until Hunk told him that Lance has bought like three of his works online in the past
- Lance will never forgive him
- On the days he isnt running his booth, he likes to walk around and look at all the cool weapon replicas
- shiro has stopped him from buying a sword or knife on more then one occasion
- knows a couple other artists and likes to meet up with them
- his bedroom walls are pretty much covered floor to ceiling with posters and art
Shiro:
- mostly there for Keith but still freaks out over DnD stuff
- Has gone to several tournaments and gotten in the top three
- If hes cosplaying, it's as his DnD character
- Hes actually fairly well known in that community
- Like Hunk, hes also there to make sure everyone doesnt die
- "Keith did you eat lunch? I told you to take a break an hour ago here drink some water weve been walking around a lot. Actually let's all find somewhere to sit down for a few minutes. Did we lose Lance again? I think he said he was gonna go check out that booth over there but let's all agree to meet back here in half an hour before we go to that panel"
- a lot of people ask if his scar and prosthetic are real and Keith wants to murder them
- Shiro just rolls with it and incorporates it into his DnD character
Allura:
- loves cosplaying as Wonder Woman or Stevonnie from SU
- She also loves studio ghibli, it's all she spends her money on
- She once entered a raffle and won a signed book full of concept art
- it is her most prized possession
- Coran almost spilled soda on it once and it's a miracle hes still alive to this day
- little kids like to come up and take pictures with her and she loves seeing how excited they get
- every once in a blue moon a guy will come up and start quizzing her about certain things and without fail everytime she'll purposefully spoil something for them and watch the life drain from their eyes
Romelle:
- didnt actually know what Comicon was until Allura brought her to one
- She automatically fell in love and now she and Allura have it down to a science
- they both come in with a game plan and schedule down to the second
- Shes a huge fan of cartoons like Steven Unirverse, Bee and Puppycat, Adventure Time, you get the idea
- Cosplays as Sailor Moon or some other older anime character
- Shes often asked to pose in group photos and she happily agrees
- her bed is covered in plushies that even outnumber Lance
- loves buying fan made clothes and going to panels

Thoughts on VLD Season 6
I have so many thoughts! Most are good...
Ok right off the bat: the conclusion of so many character arcs and plot lines!
Lotor and Allura’s relationship hit its quintessence fueled climax and left me completely devastated. Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I frustrated? Yes. Am I surprised? No. I was hoping Haggar/Honerva would ascend to her role as the ultimate-baddy this season but instead she has sunken back into the shadows, and God know’s where she’ll be headed next.
Lotor snapping was phenomenal, absolutely terrifying. He was definitely not in his normal mental state, fueled by quintessence and some combination of anger and fear. I feel bad for his character, but I feel bad for Allura too. Sincline assembled was top notch, and him piloting it? Top notch too.
ROMELLE! (More on her later)
I don’t even know where to begin with Haggar, or should I say Honerva? But I’m excited for what she has in store for us next.
Keith’s arc was so many things and more. The flashbacks the revelations, everything, every little detail, every little joke, it was euphoric to get those answers but it hurt so much at the same time. I’m so glad we got to see Keith grow and develop more, this is really what his character needed, and I was, actually ok with him piloting black? And taking charge?
What will never cease to get me is Krolia receiving the vision of Keith standing over his father’s grave. Just the body language itself hurts so much, like it confirmed what she had figured out but it still hurt, and you could tell. I also adored her interactions with Keith, as they both get to know and understand each other.
Operation Kuron’s conclusion!!! Most of it was me screaming incomprehensibly (@teamsincline can attest to that). It was animated so beautifully and it was so well written, Haggar-Controlled-Shiro’s acid words and probes at Keith, with them just rolling right off of him, which if this had happened earlier in the show, would have pushed the fight in Evil-Shiro’s favor, and seriously hurt Keith. A few scenes were so Star Wars-esque I loved it. The atmosphere for the fight and the voice acting were beyond words, but so immensely satisfying.
Shiro being stuck in the Black Lion has been something we’ve all been joking about since forever, and honestly I am so glad it played out the way it did. It was beautiful and poetic and I love white-haired Shiro wholeheartedly. I would also like to point out that Hunk and Pidge can build him a new prosthetic now! (If he wants)
Allura has come so far, using her powers to manipulate quintessence so beautifully! Her development was great this season and I am so glad the writers shifted focus to this aspect of her character! The scenes interacting with Lance made me both so proud of her and made the allurance shipper in me do a little happy dance.
Also??? Her being framed as Voltron in the fight against Lotor and Sincline??? I love it so much, not only was it almost DDP-esque, but it hails back to episode one where it is said that King Alfor tied her life force to the lions
Lance was everything this season needed. Was he comedic? Yes. Was it overwhelming or overbearing? Not at all! It was perfect, he was perfect. We got the line we’ve all been waiting for, him flourishing in his roll as emotional support, and him having a genuine and respectful crush on Allura. He’s matured so much and I am so excited to see where it takes us.
Hunk was so good, so good. He got some great development and was treated far less like the joke character this season. I loved it. He’s definitely growing as a character and I can’t wait for next season, where he’s really going to shine as he helps build a new Castle of Lions!
Pidge was once again, great this season. I knew she’d have contingency plans and I couldn’t have been happier. She had fun with her friends and shown in her most serious moments as well. The past seasons have been great for Pidge in terms of character and character growth. I hope we get to see the Paladins and everyone chilling at her house next season.
There was some great, and tragic world building this season, but I think everyone picked up on that.
OK SO: ROMELLE, I loved all of it. Drank it up. (Yes, her design is bland, and I am a little disappointed, but she is not an Allura clone, and her design is clearly homage to her original design, which is needed as she is not the most well known character. I want to cosplay her so bad regardless.) I have seen some griping about her backstory, and how she was “shoehorned into the plot” but honestly, her backstory gave her a direct reason to be incorporated into the plot, different than Sven (DOTU, DDP). Maybe it’s just because I’m that Romelle-stan but I do believe she’s going to become a recurring character and will have future significance, especially as she will seek to help her people, and grow close to Allura (a sister like relationship for them, with the emotional support they both need, Allura finding the unity under Altean culture she was looking for with Lotor in Romelle).
Ezor, Zethrid, and Axca, I have another post planned for them soon. This one is long enough.
I am so excited for next season! I am excited to see our alien members of team Voltron completely out of their comfort zones for once, and excited to see the paladins on their home turf. I’m excited to see what happens next with Haggar, and with Lotor (I can assure you he’s not gone for good)! I’m excited to see what happens with the remaining alteans. I’m excited to see what happens to the galra empire and at the Galaxy Garrison vehicle voltron or at least its characters please. And  I’ll be surprised if there isn’t a significant time jump with newer character designs.
