SUGA/Agust D, Rosemont, May 5, 2023

I told my family I met someone on the Internet and I’m gonna fly to Chicago by myself and land there at midnight and get from the airport to the hotel … in the middle of the night. And then the next day, I’m going to meet that person in-person at my hotel even though I’ve never seen them or heard their voice. 😳 It’ll be fine. 🤣🤣

I got myself to Chicago and it was uneventful except that I couldn’t figure out which seat was mine on the plane. Ha ha ha ha ha I accidentally sat in “first class” on the first leg of my flight on one of those small jets. This is “first class”… and y'all paid extra for that?

Then on my connecting flight we were packed like sardines on a real jet and I accidentally sat one row behind the one where I was supposed to be sitting. I’m a derp.

The hotel was great but I’ve never heard of a hotel property being shared by two different brands. Granted they’re both owned by the same corporation but still both hotels were housed within the same building. I stayed in the Staybridge Suites and the other half of the hotel was Holiday Inn. “When you get off the elevator go left for Staybridge and right for Holiday Inn.”

Anyway…The facility was brand spanking new and staff was excellent, especially the housekeeping staff, so I highly recommend.

And guess what floor I was on? Yes, 7th floor, room 717.

The hotel was less than a mile from ALLSTATE Arena. It was an easy walk. I could see it from my hotel room window.

I also saw the Daechwita car drive by!

Before we headed over to the arena, we went to a Korean BBQ place. My first experience and it was charcoal barbecue, so there was an actual little fire pit in the middle of our table. We had the usual 5 million side dishes and bulgogi. It was delicious. The Korean owners were very nice and attentive. A group of youngish Korean men came in. They had lanyards on but I couldn’t see what was on them. Could they have been Yoongi's staff?? Maybe! Or just a group of coworkers from nearby…

Truly the absolute best part of the whole trip was meeting this group of crazy people! Y'all are the best and made this whole trip one of the most awesome memories of my life! I am so thankful and I love you guys! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

We got in line close to 5 o’clock at the entrance that was stated on our tickets. There were at least four entrances, each with lines this long that wound around the parking lot and around the building.

(they didn’t know I was jmdbjk 🤣)

The doors opened a few minutes before 6:30 and the line moved very very swiftly. The venue was very organized except if you were parking a car… it was a little outta control for them ha ha, ha ha ha ha.

One of the things we had hoped we would be able to do would be snag some freebies from fellow Army’s, and they did not disappoint!

We did not bother to try to get any concert merch because the lines were ridiculously long and people had been in them since early morning. Some said most items were sold out by the time they reached the booth. I would have wanted a t-shirt and I’m sure those went fast.

Merch booths were also set up inside the venue, and those lines were also long. We just went ahead and found our seats and sat down and waited for the concert to begin.

The venue was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, I think Allstate Arena capacity is about 20,000 for concerts.

Our seats were fantastic. I’m sure those who chose general admission had a great time down there but that’s not for me.

Yoongi looked amazing even though he was not feeling 100%. He still sounded very good but his voice was a little rough at first.

No one told me that the flames they used during the performance would give off so much heat! I could feel it even from where I was sitting every time they blasted!

Probably one of my favorite songs during the whole concert was Burn It...

The audience barked throughout the concert and Yoongi smiled in acknowledgement. We saw only one concert goer wearing a wedding dress, but did not see any marry me Yoongi signs.

As you can see, we had matchy-matchy tangerine hat people in front of us. But black seemed to be de rigueur with lots of fishnets on the legs, arms and body, stomper boots and purple hair. Red chopsticks in the hair, cat ears, black kimonos with gold metallic designs, leather pants and skirts and of course a lot of fan made t-shirts and concert merch t-shirts.

As far as the diversity of the crowd there were people of all ages, colors and genders. Male Army were represented well, all ages and ethnicities.

After the concert we hiked up and down Mannheim Road trying to find food, all the hotel restaurants were closed. I think we were also in a post-concert daze. We ended up right back across from the venue at a take-out pizza place called Rosati's. It was the best pizza ever because we were starving and we stood there and ate almost the whole thing straight out of the oven. STRETCHY CHEESE ROCKS!!

I don't think post-concert depression has set in yet. I am still high from the past three days. IT WENT BY SO FAST! My trip home was not as smooth as the one getting to Chicago. My first flight was delayed 2 hours. They changed my gate 5 times. Its a big airport. I got my steps in that day. I was almost late for my connecting flight in Dallas. I had to run to that gate, they were paging me for the last time. They slammed the plane door as soon as I got inside. And then we waited almost another 2 hours to take off because of these storms that arrived to DFW at the same time I did:

As usual, I wish I had taken MORE pictures and video but I was watching as much as I could with my own eyeballs and it now seems like a dream. It was over too fast. I am satisfied I was finally part of the purple ocean on May 5, 2023 but now I need to see all seven of them which is now #1 on my bucket list. Using all my universe manifesting, wishing, prayers, chakras, astrological readings, tarot cards and kumbaya to make it happen in 2025-2026.

Look at how happy Spider is in this BTS shot for A3! I bet he's flying on an ikran with Kiri :)

Analysis of the image:

He's now wearing a Metkayina style loincloth, he has a tooth necklace like the one Rotxo wears instead of the Omaticaya choker, and he has a new exopack strap to replace the standard issue RDA one he wore while with Quaritch. It looks like he's been living with the reef people for a little bit and they've given him Metkayina clothing. The person connected to the ikran behind him could be literally anybody, it's impossible to tell without the CGI, but the fake Na'vi leg doesn't look that much bigger than Spider's leg so I would guess it's one of the teens, probably Kiri or possibly Lo'ak. I also notice that Spider's leg has a bloody scratch so I wonder if he just came from an action scene. He also still has a mark from when Neytiri cut him, so it looks like it's a permanent scar, he's always going to have a physical reminder of that night now :( it's a family curse at this point, OG-Quaritch had a face scar, Spider's got a chest scar, and recom-Quaritch is emotionally scared from Neytiri's arrows lol.

If I had to guess, I think this shot must be early on in Avatar 3, because he doesn't have the topknot hairstyle, V-shape painted on his forehead, or the Metkayina harness he's shown wearing in his official character poster (the character poster is pretty obviously a shot from A3, because he never looked like this in A2). He IS shown with the same tooth necklace he has in his character poster, so I think this could be the beginning of him getting accepted by the Metkayina clan and upgrading his outfit. I can't wait to see it in 2025!

A few things to say this morning.

Rumor (ETA: INCORRECT RUMOR) has it that Jimin was sent to another base for special training related to his new post in FDC. I don't know if it's true or not, but I find the coincidence very funny that the weekend Jimin was supposedly sent elsewhere was when JK surfaced on TikTok commenting on one of Jimin's TikTok dance challenge vids. If Jimin was briefly away from him, and he chose to spend that time watching Jimin videos, that would be spectacularly on brand for him.

I love J-Hope beyond my ability to express it. I love RM beyond my ability to express it. I love Jin (D-77 vid was awesome) beyond my ability to express it. I love Suga beyond my ability to express it. I love V beyond my ability to express it. Obviously, I love Jimin and JK beyond my ability to express it. I just keep trying to express it, that's all.

Is it 2025 yet?

Is it June 2024 yet? Poor Jin - he's going to be coming back to millions of thirsty, famished ARMY and he's going to have to babysit us all by himself until Hobi comes back in October. Poor guy. He's going to be love slammed into oblivion (which, of course, he deserves).

I was just wondering, considering how much flak JK has gotten for recording in English - why haven't I heard anybody shitting themselves because "Fri(end)s" is in English, too? (Fab track, BTW.)

I watched and thoroughly enjoyed the first two eps of Hope on the Street, and I can't wait for the rest. It was nice to see JK's cameo as well. My copies of the CDs and whatnot are about to be shipped, and I cannot wait to hold them in my hot little hands.

Just a friendly reminder that the Jikook travelogue is still on its way.

The K-drama based on HYYH is officially going to be released in April on a platform I can't get. I hope I can count on ARMY to be both larcenous and share-y. ;)

HYBE and BigHit put out a statement today/last night about proceeding to get jail time for some idiots who thought they were the main character in Fuck Around and Find Out starring BTS. More on the way, apparently. Good. I hope they all get what's coming to 'em. Maybe the horrible online comments and the death threats can finally be ended.

I feel like this conversation is a bit played out, but I’m curious: do you think JK’s banking on winning a Grammy and potentially getting out of his military service? I’ve tried to take their words for what they are and I know everyone’s said that they’re all going to the military, will be back in 2025, yadda yadda, whatever. I can’t understand why, if that’s the case, they’re banking so much on his solo career if he’s just going to disappear from the scene (physically) for almost 2 years. Do you get what I mean?

My thoughts are that they are actually hoping for a Grammy and subsequent deferment of mandatory service, but then again, nobody knows so I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

As this is only speculation and might as well not happen, let me bring my own contribution. I don't think this is about Jungkook and I'll explain why.

If you look at this entire issue from the perspective of the artist/idol, you'll realize soon that you're stuck, that you can't explain why he's doing this or that. But looking at it as a business deal will shine another light on it.

Yes, Jungkook is leaving to do his military service soon and everything he said up until now points to that so why are they investing so much into making him a "global pop star"? Because Hybe and Hybe America need to show that they can do that. That their strategy is one that works for future business. Why do you think they tried it first on the most versatile of the BTS members, the one that can do any song because he has the voice needed for that? This wouldn't have worked with Taehyung or Jimin. God, I'm so happy it didn't work with Jimin because it would have been horrible to see all that unfoulding. Besides, they had projects on their own and without making any contribution to the song writing, Tae's album was still something that matched his personality, it was him with the help of MHJ.

With Jungkook, the situation is different. I wouldn't know the details, but when they announced their hiatus, it looked like everyone was set on releasing an album, including JK. And then, most likely, life happened. Because you can't plan your state of mind. And when you're under a contract, you do need to listen to other people. I know army always uses the shares in Hybe argument, but the value allocated for the members is insignificant on a larger scale. Yes, they are rich and they can do what they want and sleep on a wlive, but I don't think for one second the company would have let Jungkook do nothing and be a couch potato.

So they found this opportunity. You also have to keep in mind that Hybe paid a lot of money for Scooter's company and then what happened to him? Most of his artists left? So where is this big opportunity for collaboration and projects and all that?

This is just business. That's it. They chose the idol capable of being a blank slate and stuck the concept of global pop star on him. Because that's what it is which is incredibly funny (not). Usually that accolade comes after some time, when the results can be seen over a prolonged period of time, but in this case, that was the starting point. As much as Bang wants to get rid of the k in kpop, they're still using a kpop strategy, that of making an album based on a concept or creating a specific image for an idol.

And now they are pushing it hard. They are investing a ton of money into this in a way that makes them look desperate and I think that in the industry at large, people see it. Not the fans because they either choose to turn a blind eye or their mind doesn't go that far. There are voices which have said a thing or two lately among army, but it's an insignificant minority. The company can rely on the fandom to buy all those 284836521 versions and remixes and they will eat it up. And voila, look at how Hybe produced a global pop star in less than half a year. Quick, open the catalog for some songs that sound mediocre enough for a top 40, make the singer record them asap, fast, done in less than one week. Quickly come up with some generic argument of how this is just to show the artist's vocal range (good job PR for that one, jesus) and then also openly admit that it was made for a Western market, aka US cause the world stops there.

Jungkook had the possibility to show more personality of his own when he was with a group of six other people than with his solo album, which is so ironic. But that is because it is not his album. He's merely a vessel through which Bang and Scooter can show investors that they can invent a global pop star and fast while their pockets grow bigger and bigger.

good morning. hibe released a note saying that BTS renewed their contract, and even made a donation to the Unicef fund, however, when reading the note I realized that there is no extension date for the current contract, considering that the current one runs until 2025, and the note says exactly the same date. On the other hand, there are rumors that BTS has separated, there is a probable unrequited feeling of a member, who is supposedly part of the other ship, for JM, which has caused discomfort and dissatisfaction among the members and making this continuity impossible. I don't have concrete facts, but I analyzed some facts, including the visible discomfort of the hug between JM and Tae, at the launch of the latter's MV. This became clear, putting together the facts and JM's song that talks about breach of trust among other evidence, I would like to know your opinion on this. grateful

Hello @nut2019. I will give you my 2 cents on what you asked me.

Let's start with the contracts.

They have been renewed. Period.

There would not have announced it if this was not in the bag. RM would not have posted about it if it wasn't a done deal.

Well, the members that haven't enlisted yet have signed them, meaning RM, Suga, Tae, JM and JK.

Jin and Hobi can't sign at the moment given they are in the army, but again, this announcement wouldn't have been released if it was not a given they will sign as soon as they are released.

The current contracts are until end of 2024. These new contracts will come into effect starting 2025.

We are not given the deets about their content nor length, other than it was approved by the company board (which means there were terms there that needed special approval - this could be monetary but also have to do with freedoms given to them, like total creative independence and no company veto powers over their music or content - not me saying I know what is in the contracts, just mentioning several options that may need special approval).

Like I said, there is an extension start date - 2025. No end date. I am assuming they aren't releasing more info a. because there are still 2 members that need to sign, and b. just like their previous contracts, their contents will not be divulged.

As in bullshit.

How these rumours start and who spreads them (well, solos and antis)... but why don't you listen to the members? Why choose to listen to these utters of nonsense when you have every single one of them saying they can't wait to get back together? That the plan is to get back in 2025. That they want to be together on stage together. Each and every one of them. With all the success of their solo paths, they still want and even need that connection and each other's presence together on stage. And now you even have RM posting about it as well, like the announcement wasn't enough.

Listen to them, not to some unsubstantiated rumours started by people that have agendas that have nothing to do with the 7 members best interests.

As for your hints about Tae, man is in a relationship. Not with JK. Not with JM. Ooh, her name does start with a J though.

Anyway, the drama people are looking for, being bored and all with no actual BTS content as of late, yeah, it's not happening.

And Face off, btw, not about Tae. Read the lyrics. Not a break up. Not about JK. Not about Tae. These men, they do have other friend circles outside of BTS. Friend/s that might have used and hurt JM, you know. Fame comes at a price. And growing up you at times discover that not everyone that calls himself your friend is there for you and not their own selfish reasons (latching on to fame and money is a thing you know). Sadly, JM most likely learnt that the hard way.

As for that hug at Music bank. Won't deny it felt awkward. But there are many other possible explanations as to why, and definitely not to do with any kind of non existent romantic triangle.

Sorry if you talked about it before and i didn’t see, but what were your thoughts on the taemin episode last week?

I loved the 93 bond start to develop, and the way taemin and jimin talked about each other was really sweet. We haven’t gotten to see much of their friendship on camera. I love how taemin talked about similarities between him and jm (especially the word ‘genderless’). I personally think taemin is (probably) queer just like i think yoongi and jimin are, and it was really lovely the way the three of them connected - they’re some of the only people who are in their specific situations so they can relate to each other.

The way they compared it to a blind date with jimin as matchmaker made me laugh xD

It's been a while since Ive seen it (over a month lmao) but I remember loving it. Because I love everything Yoongi does. That man has got me in a chokehold and I'm happy to be there! And Jimin was there too so like, amazing all around. The things that I remember so therefore stood out to me from the 3 of them were how adorable it was in the way they both clearly love Jimin. They are so "let hyung love on you" with him. Lol

Don't know anything about him too much really outside of the little Jimin himself has shared.... But it seemed like they had a lot of fun and I enjoy seeing my boys smile!

I'm not even in the slightest able to describe how heartbroken I really feel lately and especially today.. 😭

It all started back in December 2022 with Jin and it's still hard for me to just think about it today. Back then I already knew it wouldn't be any easier for me to see the others leave as well. I love every single one of them for all the joy, laughter, smiles and happiness they brought to us in their own unique ways. I will forever be grateful for everything they did just to make Army happy. 💜

But to be quite honest: After Jin left today is the day I feared the most. The day both Jimin and Jungkook had to say their final goodbyes. Deep down inside of me I was so scared about how they were going to take it. Then they went Live and what should I say? I was not ready for any of this. To see Jimin so emotional vulnerable, to see those tears in his eyes after all those years in which he gifted us with his beautiful laugh and smile broke my heart in more than a million pieces. And Jungkook who clearly didn't want to end his Live, who clearly wanted to stay with Army even if it's just for a few more minutes? I just.. I can't.. 😭💔

I never thought how much them leaving would really hurt me but here we are.. Here I am sitting in my living room crying not knowing how to overcome these painful emotions. Somehow I feel empty like I just lost my two best friends. I know how ridiculous this might sound to some of you but that's the way I feel anyway. 💔

For me the only thing that makes it around 0,001% easier to let Jimin and Jungkook go as well is that they at least will have each other and find themselves able to rely on each other. They will walk down this path together as the "brothers" they have been all the time before. Maybe that little thought will keep me going sometime. But definitely not today. Not after we all could see how sad and heartbroken they really were. 😔

2025. A number that for a lot of people simply means that a new year has started. A new year with both its ups and downs just like every other year before. But for Army.. For me.. 2025 means so much more. Finally we will get our beloved boys back. BTS and Army will be together again no matter in which way. No one knows in which state both mentally and physically they will return to us. But I'm sure Army will love them and still have their backs. I sure will! 💜

Army! I assume everyone of us is in their own state of pain and grief right now. But no matter how hard the time till their return might be we have to stay strong for them as they surely will stay strong for us. We owe them to stay strong. No one of us has to go through this alone. Let's stick together as one, let's help each other and let's stay strong together. We can go through this hard time as long as we do it together. For their and our own sake. 💜

Seokjin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Namjoon, Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook. No matter what stones have been thrown into your way you kept on being strong even if it was difficult. You were able to do that because every single one of you is a strong person. But also because you fought together for your dreams and for what you all love. Music. Army. Please stay strong and keep on fighting so that one beautiful day you all return safely to us. We will be here. Patiently waiting for the day that we are able to make all of you smile and laugh out of pure happiness again. 💜🫰🏻

I saw a quote that made me think of you and how you talk about your biases (I’m the same way tbh with mine). It’s “I could talk about him more if I loved him less.” For me, there’s just so much I feel about my bias that I can’t put it into words or can’t find the words to fit all that I feel about him.

These days when I think about Jimin, my breath catches.

So much to say and so unable to say it. You know, I've been sentimentally binging on BTS's music more than usual in the last few days. Thinking about how 2024 is the first time in years where I'm not focusing most of my attention on BTS. I drafted a rant about it and will probably post it after this. Anyway, listening to BTS's music and hearing Jimin's beautiful voice... It's like crack cocaine.

My head literally buzzes listening to Jimin. And the way his voice fits in with the other members, their unique synergy on their tracks, that just amplifies the appeal of Jimin's voice to me.

He's so special and I hope he's safe. I hope the same for Jungkook, Taehyung, Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi, and Seokjin. 2024 is going to be a trip but I can't wait till the whole crew is back in 2025.

I'm wishing everyone a successful 2024 filled with health, love and happiness!

You know, I've really come to love this little community of taekookers here on tumblr. It's our own safe space away from the majority of the toxicity and negativity that's such a big part of the fandom.

I love hearing everyone's mature and well thought out responses. I love that there's no unnecessary hate on any of the members. I love that we can be delusional, but also keep it rational. I love how we can all accept that we have differing opinions. I love that we can laugh about the ridiculous antics of other taekookers and not take things too seriously.

We've had so much going on with taekook this year, which has been amazing, but a big part of what has made this year great is also the time I've spent on here with you guys. I hope everyone sticks around while taekook are gone. Here's to another year of appreciating taekook's beautiful relationship, but also to appreciating BTS and all of the members. Jin and Hobi are back this year, and I can't wait! I hope that they're all doing well right now, and they all get back safely in 2025. It won't be the same until we have all seven of them with us again 💜💜💜

So I was thinking...

Yesterday, the article about the BTS contracts hit. I read the article and didn't get the big deal. It said they would sign...so they hadn't yet, I thought.

I went to twitter and saw all these people celebrating and I was like...do they not know how to read? Why are they celebrating something that hasn't even happened and that the company is saying will happen.

Why would the company not wait until it has actually happened to make a celebratory article? So I went back to sleep lol

Promise? Oh yeah. What a contract. The board agreed...not BTS. Well, only Rm so far.

But then legit people started talking about it and being serious. I saw the many ridiculous tweets and hateful ot7love remarks, solos being dissapointed, and real Jimin fans feeling sad.

That's when I decided to "believe", although it sounds like media play to me. Why are the stocks tanking even more? Investors didn't believe the news or think Rm's post were enough, apparently. Nothing is set in stone. It hasn't happened yet. The stocks will go up when it actually does happen, though. The investors are worried for now and then future, I suppose.

As someone who loves Jimin and his artistry, I am worried too.

Ot7s and company stans want to make us feel like we are the akgaeist of the akgae for believing that Jimin got sabotaged by his company. But do people seriously think that all that happened to FACE was normal? They can't even offer a rational explanation.

Even if we entertain the idea that his company didn't sabotage him on purpose, they still didn't protect their artist and fix the things that were and are within their reach. Things like:

•Combining Like Crazy Korean and English version

•Restocking the Like Crazy single

•Sending albums to China on time

•Investigating Hanteo sales

•Investigating the erasure of Bb sales

•Properly timing the release of other member projects to avoid interference with other projects

•Fixing the Spotify profile and all that stuff that came along with that

The list is quite long.

Somehow, saying these things makes you a solo or an akgae or a manti (who even came up with this one? so stupid.)

Isn't it more hateful to normalize what happened to Jimin and to want BTS back despite the unequal support the company has given each member?

The people I know don't want Jimin to sign because he deserved better as a soloist and not because they hate BTS. The people I know are neutral and positive towards BTS. They literally only want fair treatment for Jimin. They are Jimin fans. Not solos, shippers, ot7s, rando labels. Just people who appreciate Jimin as an artist.

Somehow, the people who want BTS back, no matter what, and can't wait for the solo ventures to be over are better than all of us... because BTS is 7 and they are brothers who love each other and nothing can break them apart...not even solos, akgaes, shippers, and Chapter 2...(insert sad violin music).

Everything is backwards in this fandom.

I look at the members who told their story and shared themselves through their music and notice how happy they are. They were exhausted before, so done with the generic white garbage songs, and their creativity constricted. We've gotten to see the colors of their real music and therefore, their real selves. That's what being a true artist is about. I don't know how ot7s who want BTS back, no matter what, don't see this.

It doesn't make sense to me why any proper fan would want their artist to give that all up.

And people kept saying that this time around, Jimin's contract would include better deals because that's what contracts are for. Then I thought...where was the contract when he was pushed to the sides and no longer in the front of the group, when he was given 2 lines in a song, when he was the harmonizer but not one of the lead singers, when FACE era began and ended.

I guess I have no faith in contracts. Or that company.

Any proper fan who doesn't live in a weird fantasy bubble should be worried...and/or dissapointed.

If there is anything I've learned in Chapter 2, it's that it is a every-man-for-themselves chapter. Looking back at Chapter 1, it was like that too, except I was drinking too much of that purple kool-aid to notice it.

I guess we will see what happens when actual contracts are signed. I can only hope that things go well for Jimin. That's the only thing that matters to me.

I guess we will see.

l’m not questioning Jikook, they brought me to BTS &!I’ll never leave, but I am wondering something & maybe you can help. For months now, as we all know, Jimin has not appeared with Jungkook for a Live or done dance challenges or even talked to him publicly. It’s ok cuz there may be reasons & we jkkrs get it, but what if you’re not one? You’re just a fan of the group. Doesn’t it call attention to the fact they aren’t interacting? Of all the members, it’s these two who aren’t communicating together for fans. If you’re just a fan of the entire group, doesn’t it make it look like they are intentionally avoiding each other? Group fans must find that strange, so how do we explain it to them? As you’ve said, Jungkook makes it plain HE wants to see Jimin, but Jimin is noticeably holding out. So can you give insight as to why? How do I tell my friends who support the group, but aren’t shippers of any of them, what’s going on with them, and seemingly, them only?

You don't have to be a Jikook supporter to use common fucking sense. I say supporter because shippers are over there getting concerned and insecure with everybody else. Meanwhile supporters yeah, we miss them but we are not worried or concerned.

Tell your friends that once they utilise their brains they will do the following math:

Jikook went from being the closest to not being seen together at all. What's going on with them and seemingly them only? That right there is your answer. We were spoilt with Jikookery because we were getting ot7 content. But now it's solo era so we are lucky if we see any members in the same place and the same time. Not just Jikook.

So common sense like i mentioned should tell u that nothing has changed. Jikook are still interacting and seeing each other. We are just not privy to this content because there are no cameras to capture these moments.

Think back to the extra run episodes that we got. Jikook were still the same, satellite Jeon still doing his thing. So what is there to worry about??? We will see them when we see them and if we don't, we have no choice but to wait till 2025 or if BH agrees to part with memories 2022.

Several lives have made it clear they are still hanging out. The most reliable being the one where JK said Jimin changed his lamp, and then a day before he shared a photo of Bam only for Jimin to show up at the airport with dog scratches on his arm.

Antis made fun of us for leaning into this theory but it made all the fucking sense and I believe Jikook were together the day before Jimin travelled.

Just coz Jimin doesn't wanna go live doesn't mean they ain't hanging out all the time. They're a couple. Of course they're hanging out. I can't help people who don't think Jikook are together because they won't reason like me. They won't see it doesn't make sense for a committed couple to not be seeing eo in person. So idk what to tell your friends unfortunately. If the weverse interactions are not enough to prove to them that Jikook still care about each other and nothing has changed btwn them, then idk what to say.

Of all the members, it's these two who aren't communicating together for fans

Melody was once hospitalized in a room such as this.

Peeling wallpaper and drafty curtains, random assortments of things tossed about as though that would make it feel more like home. A picture frame there, a small couch here, blankets and pillows scattered on the floor, candles alight to try and chase away the rancid smell of disinfectant and sanitization.

Yes, all of it are things she is familiar with, things she wishes she wouldn't remember even after all this time.

"Your sister better get here soon, or she's going to miss out."

Melody swallows hard at her mother's voice, dropping the picture frame she was holding into the box laid open on her mother's bed. She chooses instead to busy herself with gathering up the carefully folded clothes decorating the bedsheet.

"Well, you know Yen, always late to everything." Melody mutters, intentionally avoiding Jocelynn's stern look her way.

"Melody..."

"What?"

"You know what."

Melody sighs, raising her eyes to her mother and falling defeated beneath her clear instruction. It takes her a moment, but she manages a forced smile, taking her mother's hand.

"Don't worry, Mom. I promise to keep the peace."

Jocelynn returns the smile, squeezing her daughter's hand a bit before she pulls away. Seeing her daughter's fight like this, seeing two once inseparable siblings' relationship strained like this, pains her in a way she doesn't know how to express. She knows that Melody feels betrayed, and she understands why Yen had to do what she had to do, but Jocelynn hates being put in the middle of the two. So for now, perhaps it is easier to ignore the situation entirely.

“I can’t wait to get out of here," She chuckles to herself. "I can’t believe it took this long to get discharged.”

Melody scoffs, rolling her eyes at her blatant ignorance.

"It's your own fault, you know."

"How so?" Jocelynn hums, prompting Melody to turn to her incredulously.

"Seriously?" Melody can't help but laugh at her mother's blank stare when she turns her eyes to hers. Jocelynn grows offended, tossing a stray sock at her daughter's head in retaliation when she doesn't give her a straight answer.

"Yes, seriously!"

Melody laughs, catching the sock midair.

"Oh come on, Mom." The next time Jocelynn throws a sock it catches Melody right in her face and she groans, pulling the sock off before tossing it aside. As she speaks, she tries to hide the smile growing on her face at the sound of Jocelynn's laughter, but Jocelynn spies it clear as day, and her heart grows warm with affection. "You were ready to be discharged a month after your attack, but you refused bed rest and opened your stitches. They wanted to keep you a few weeks after, but you just had to get restless and assist the hospital staff. A fall and two later you’ve slipped on wet tile and have rebroken your ribs and leg.”

Melody smirks as Jocelynn's former smile falls and she turns from her, busying herself with packing her box instead. Melody can tell she's growing embarrassed by the way she fidgets with the items she puts away and the way she avoids her eyes.

“Okay, I take it back, maybe I don’t want to be reminded.”

Melody can't help but chuckle, shaking her head.

“Honestly, I don’t blame them for keeping you an extra month to ensure you got your proper rest after all that.”

Perhaps Jocelynn says something next, perhaps she begins to laugh once more, perhaps she smiles her way, or perhaps she does none of those things and continues to stay silent, feigning ignorance towards the grave she has dug for herself. Melody wouldn't know, for her attention is now solely focused on a picture frame sitting on her mother's nightstand. She pauses, setting down the folded clothes for a moment before picking it up.

It is of the three of them, back when they had first moved to Korea, smiling up at the camera as they stood in front of the house they would soon live and make beautiful memories in. Jocelynn sits on the front steps, holding her daughters tightly to her sides, as she laughs. Melody couldn't be any older than four or five in the photo, her hair a mess as it falls from a carefully tied ponytail, her cheeks rosy as she giggles, leaning back in her mother's arms. Yen, only a year or so older, watches the two of them with soft, quiet eyes, her smile following that of the same nature.

Melody has seen this photo multiple times, and has passed by the table it used to sit on countless times before. On the way to school, when she had just arrived home, storming out of the house after a fight with her sister or her mother, on the way to meet with friends...It was one of many that used to decorate their house, a hobby her mother had picked up to immortalize their new memories, as though that would destroy all of the bad.

She has seen it so many times, she should know every detail, she should have memorized the looks on their faces, and be able to recognize every mark. But in all her years of gazing at this photo, she's never noticed the look in her sister's eyes. Though she's smiling, she seems almost...

Sad.

If you look close enough, you can see the gloss over her eyes as she begins to disassociate, her mind going somewhere else, somewhere dark. Her smile doesn't quite reach her eyes, it seems strained, forced. As though she were only smiling for the sake of those beside her, as though she were trying to convince them, convince herself, that she was okay.

The thought sends bile, hot and bitter against Melody's throat. Swallowing hard, she tosses the frame into the box, tearing her eyes away from the past.

“How could she let this happen to you?”

The thought comes out as a whisper, words she had never meant to say. As her mother turns to her, the bile grows more prominent. So much so that she can now taste it clear on her tongue, her heart dropping to her gut in devastation as those familiar green eyes meet hers.

“Hm? What was that sweetheart?”

Melody clears her throat, blinking hard. She shakes her head, equally relieved and yet slightly disappointed that her mother did not hear her. She knows that it would have started a fight, a fight she does not wish to engage in at the moment, but in a way she wishes she could. That they would stop pretending these problems were not there, that they would quit ignoring the massive elephant in the room; that she could finally release all the pent-up frustration and betrayal that has been eating at her heart. No, instead, she chases all those feelings away, bottles them up for a little while longer before she turns to her mother with a smile.

"Nothing. It wasn't important."

As Melody returns to packing, Jocelynn watches her silently in concern.

Ever since they were young, they were close. They did everything together, and couldn't stand being separated from the other. Melody would rely on her sister for everything, to the point where Jocelynn would sometimes wonder if she was actually her mother. But she knew Melody relied on Yen for things she could never rely on her for. Things that she was too embarrassed to say in front of her mother, things she was afraid she would be judged for.

Likewise, Yen protected both Melody and Jocelynn as though her life depended on it. She would watch over Melody closely during school, on every outing, even when she got her first boyfriend. She would take care of her mother just as diligently. Keeping an eye out when she needed her, forcing her to rest when Jocelynn was being stubborn, and taking over household tasks whenever her mother needed her to do so.

Jocelynn knows that if she had to choose between herself, or her family's being, Yen would always choose her family. For the one time she didn't, the one time she chose to prioritize herself, she nearly lost the two people she cherished the most in the world.

The thought pains her heart as much as this tremulous fight does.

Jocelynn knows things cannot be fixed between her daughters so easily, but that doesn't mean she doesn't wish for things to return to the way they were. It doesn't mean that she can't hope for their reconciliation and forgiveness. Which she does, every day she sees the pain and turmoil in each of their eyes.

Watching Melody now, watching the way this is eating her up inside, she ponders whether or not she should say something. But she never gets the chance to find out, for as soon as she opens her mouth, she catches sight of Yen in the doorway.

"Yen."

At the sound of her sister's name, Melody goes still, turning to face her for the first time since she left. She watches with a blank stare as Yen smiles that dorkish, sheepish smile, fidgeting with the cuffs of her sleeves as she steps into the room. She notes how she can barely meet her eyes for two minutes, how every bone and tendon in her body tenses, preparing to run away at the nearest opportunity.

That's what she does best, isn't it?

Running away?

"Hi."

“Hello dear, we were just packing a few things.” Jocelynn smiles softly, opening her arms to welcome the hug that Yen readily gives her upon her arrival.

“I’m sorry I’m late, the session took longer than I anticipated.” As you release your mother, grimacing when she pinches your cheek, you glance towards Melody. She avoids your eyes, focusing on packing the box that sits in front of her. You wish she could look at you, see how happy you are to see her, that you wish you could wrap your arms around her, and envelop her in the hug you had been waiting to give her since she had first arrived.

“Oh that’s right, that was today! How did it go?”

You suppose that is selfish, however. To wish for something you do not deserve.

Turning from her, you smile at your mom, picking up a few empty boxes from their carefully assorted pile on the floor. “It was fine, it was more of an introduction than anything.”

When Melody scoffs, it brings silence to the room once more.

You freeze, your fingers tightening around the cardboard rim as you raise your eyes to her precariously. She's not looking at you, not really, but it is clear that the cynical laugh that erupts from her lips is directed towards you. And this time, when those fierce eyes meet yours, you don't dare look away.

“I’m sorry, no really, I am. It’s just, aren’t you the one who ‘didn’t need therapy’? Now you’re attending sessions?”

You can't help but smile to yourself at her sarcasm, complete even with the air quotes. And though your mother beside you sends Melody a severe warning look, it's hard for you to be mad at her.

At least you got your wish, albeit only partly.

“I was wrong. Turns out I need more help than I let on.” You mutter, turning from her to reach for a lamp on an opposite dresser. You miss the way the smile falls, you miss the way her eyes darken in her overwhelming bitterness.

“Well, I’m glad you’ve been given time to work on yourself, all things considered." Melody hisses between gritted teeth. You turn to her, but the pitiful look in your eyes does nothing to ease her anger, it only fuels it, turning it malicious. "I mean, I’m surprised you can even show your face in public given your situation.”

"Melody!"

Though Jocelynn may berate her, the dagger has already hit the mark as it was intended. Cutting deep and bloody into your back. A precious spot that will soon fester and grow until Melody has managed to inflict the same pain you inflicted on her the minute you turned away.

You choke back the scoff, and swallow the bile that rises in your throat at the mention of your scandal, barely managing to maintain your faltering smile as you raise your eyes to meet hers once more.

And there it is again.

The same look you had in the picture, the same look that you had that night she had begged you to stay. The same glossed eyes, the same false smile, the same mask you always wear to hide what's truly underneath.

Melody can't stand to see those eyes boring into hers any longer.

“You know what? I’m feeling a bit hungry, does anyone want anything?” Melody waits a beat to see if either of you will reply, but when she is met with silence she smirks, rolling her eyes and snatching her wallet off the desk beside her. “Lovely.”

Almost as soon as she steps out of the doorway, you are already defeated, plopping down on Jocelynn's bed, amidst a disarray of clothes and packing supplies. Jocelynn eyes you carefully, as she silently resumes her packing.

"Is it always going to be like this?" you murmur, wondering if the tightness in your chest belongs to that of guilt or melancholy. You sigh deeply, leaning on the box Jocelynn is working on. Shaking her head at your dramatics, she swats you away.

“Can you blame her?”

“Well, no.” Letting out another disgruntled groan, you flop on your back from your previously upright posture, causing the bed to shake and the boxes to jump a bit in its wake. You hold your arms over your eyes, as though that would erase every ounce of guilt, or at least hide you from your transgressions if only for a short while. “But that’s what makes it worse.”

Rolling her eyes, Jocelynn reaches for a book directly underneath your head and yanks it out from underneath you. You let out a yelp at the surprise, but pout when you see it was just your mother trying to grab your attention.

"It won't always be like this." She smiles down at you, taking a seat beside you and tucking your hair behind your ear affectionately. You give in to her touch, adjusting yourself so that your head is on her lap, and she is stroking your hair much like you were a child again who had just woken up from a nightmare. "She’s your sister, sweetheart, she’s going to forgive you. She just needs a little time.”

“I find that kind of hard to believe.” You can't help but mutter, unable to even meet your mother's eyes as she regards you in sympathy.

There have been many times in the past where you may have believed that to be true. Like the time you accidentally dropped Melody in the deep end when you were children or the time you forgot to walk home with her from school, but this time...

Not once has Melody ever let you down. She's always been there when you needed her, showed up when you asked her to, stayed by your side when there was no one else but her to do so. And yet, the one time she asks the same of you, the one time she begs you to stay, you leave her behind, not even daring to look back.

After years upon years of promising her you'd never leave, that's exactly what you did.

Is that level of selfishness so easily forgiven?

That is the same question Melody asks herself from where she had been listening at the door, barely managing to choke down the tears that begin to grow as she turns away from the room and the sister she once thought she knew.
