A zevlor romance could have been so fucking good. He’s an oathless Paladin, slowly relearning how to love himself and forgive himself, eventually retaking his oaths (redemption) as he sees himself worthy of that power again. At the same time, he slowly falls for tav with a love like a wilting flower. He’d never call attention to it - another npc in the group, probably the closest one to Tav would have to point it out for tav to confront him - and he’ll deny it out of fear for the agony that heartbreak causes, only for the sweetest, gentlest caress to his face and whisper of a confession to breathe life back into him. He’d have such a sincere romance scene in the gardens of Baldur’s Gate, leading to a clumsy, desperate night in bed together as he apologizes profusely because he hasn’t done this in a while.

Listen I only know of one other person who has consumed The Magnus Archives and Bungou Stray Dogs but the brain rot refuses to leave my head so enjoy this collection of comparisons because they are more similar than we admit

SPOILERS FOR TMA AND BSD

First off, there are not any actual good people in TMA just like in BSD (beyond Kenji and the plumber from TMA that didn't realize he was being terrorized by the Stranger)

The similarities between Martin and Atsushi are insane. They are both so morally gray, have the capabilities (and have or have manipulated others to) kill people, they are both infantilized despite being openly chaotic people who have committed crimes and will do so again, despite that they are loving and caring people.

Dazai is so Elias coded it isn't funny to me (which does also make Chuuya pretty Peter Lukas coded as well)

The THEMES are so similar too. Finding that impossible hope even when everything has gone to absolute shit and it seems like it can never be solved

The flavors of terror are so incredibly fitting for BSD and the experiences so many of these characters face

The fact that JMart is so skk and sskk coded is so beautiful and insane to me, like they are one in the same (also the fact that all three of these pairings would try to stop the apocalypse and accidentally kickstart it is so canon)

They are both insanely niche but beautiful pieces of media that I adore
