kajlf;ksd I have come up with another head canon for Raven von Vestra. While her preferred science is experimenting with stuff, she does rather enjoy biology, specifically animals and plants. She would constantly sit outside and draw birds and plants. She would often cut open plants to see what she could find in them. Raven would, ethically, do the same to animals. Because of her, she helped make life easier for a lot of people and animals for Fodlan, especially the people living Faerghus. Also, generations of people would look to her texts for reference and guidance.

Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural rewatch
...and well, I've gotten into historic fashion since the last time I saw the Lizzie Borden episode. This comes a bit too close to speculation on true crime (which I will not do) but I wanted to share some information because of Shane/Ryan discussing Lizzie's blue dress.
PriorAttire (Izabela Pitcher) is a medieval and Victorian costumer. I am not an expert, and I am sick rn, but I promise this will (mostly) make sense. Using a lot of parentheses today, apparently.
Izabela (listen, I am southern and want to say Mrs. Pitcher but I digress) has a video here timing herself getting dressed from a chemise. Buttoning her boots (with button hook), lacing a split busk corset (an invention of the Victorian era), putting on caging (bustle or crinoline), petticoat, corset cover/blouse, skirt, possible overskirt, and top. This all takes Izabela at most around 10 minutes, with no help. Now, everything listed before 'corset cover/blouse' will typically stay the same between outfits- sport corsets were a thing for well, sports, and there were bathing corsets. Still, typically corset covers/blouses served to soften the lines of undergarments just like petticoats and didn't change. (You could wear a top with fanning/voluminous sleeves and then have little sleeves you slipped on at the end and buttoned above the elbow if you didn't wear a blouse.) All you would need to shuck in August, hypothetically, would be a skirt, sleeves, and a top, maybe a petticoat if the skirt was absorptive. (One pieces dresses did exist, but mostly two-pieces were common to increase the utility of clothing items. One of her ballgowns can easily be transformed with a little mix-and-match to a walking gown.)
In Izabela's "60 years of Victorian Fashion" video, there are some one-piece dresses (but they look relatively easyish to get into, especially if buttoned ahead of time). One from 1890 was described as for the house and was one piece, but still, not difficult. (Around the 7:30 mark of the video.)
I don't honestly know if this makes sense. I could make a more thorough rewrite, but maybe this will let you guys make your own conclusions.
(And hey! if you want to know more about historical fashion, CrowsEyeProductions has a cool playlist in chronological order from Roman Britain to the present day of the dressing process.)

i am crying real tears that buzzfeed unsolved is over. this show was with me all throughout college, a year off before grad school, dropping out of grad school, life changes, life traumas, good times, career changes, rough times - through everything crazy that happens to you in your late teens-early twenties. it was always my favorite thing to watch through all of it. i remember when a coworker introduced me to the series via the sodder children true crime ep while we were working - in a library, where we had to be quiet as possible - and i both laughed so hard i cried, covering my mouth, and i was also fairly spooked. from then on i was hooked. while everyone else was watching this or that tv show i was watching bfu episodes over and over. whether i had a rough day or a good day bfu was always there. it truly became and is still such a constant in my life, so to know there will never be another episode is strange. but the ending was so perfect and, like ryan and shane, this feels like the right time for me to say bye as i too enter another new stage of life.
i grew up on ghost hunting / unsolved mystery shows, youtube, and comedy, so a show that rolled all those things into one would obviously end up being my favorite. ryan and shane are some of the funniest and sweetest people alive and watching their friendship grow in real time on camera over the years has been insane. it’s rare when two people have such chemistry and i’m glad this show allowed them to find that type of bond with someone, and i’m glad they are still making content together. i’m glad the stars aligned and these two weirdos ended up working at buzzfeed at the same time and sat next to each other and shane said okay to filling in for brent (no offense brent) and the rest is history. for that reason these are happy tears!
bfu has never gotten old for me and i don’t think it will; i’m still going to rewatch it all the time. it will always make me laugh and that damn music they put in the background will always make me a little spooked when i wake up in the middle of the night to find it still playing on my roku. i will always quote this show and i will always use memes from it. it’s simply a piece of media that is part of my life, part of me. it’s more than just that funny ghost hunting show with those guys from the internet, to me, really. it’s an old friend. a forever friend.

Mutual pining fics are soo good for wangxian because of all the meaningful stares and touches and gestures in cql 😪
Oh, I love BuzzFeed Unsolved!!! Even though I'm a scaredy cat and horror and true crime freak me out. Have you checked out Watcher, Ryan and Shane's new channel? They get up to more shenanigans there! They have this series called Puppet History which I LOVEEEE. If you watched Buzzfeed's Ruining History with Shane, this is like that but with more tomfoolery 😂
I once read a BuzzFeed Unsolved x The Untamed fic... Here it is, in case you're interested. It's a short one-shot but it was fun! https://archiveofourown(.)org/works/27241906
What are other fandoms (if any) that you like crossed over with The Untamed? like AUs or characters meeting or any type of crossovers!
Do you write fanfic? Is there any fandom activity that you wish you could do? Like art or music covers or fic, etc? I wish I could find the motivation these days to make piano covers of the Untamed soundtrack music!

very true~
omg same lol. i don’t do horror and true crime’s even worse in some ways... but i watch bun for the ~humor~ i am subscribed to watcher but i haven’t seen all of their videos... i’ve been enjoying the too many spirits series!! i haven’t seen much puppet history but i’ve gotta change that 😪
ah thanks, that was fun! i appreciate how they included wen ning’s canonical inability to not cause a ruckus lmao. & i’m always open to recommendations :)
hmm, idk bc i haven’t delved into that side of the fandom much yet... i will say i’ve got some ideas for crack vids/incorrect quotes that i’m excited about, lol. and i still stand by my earlier post about rly wanting a xuexiao good place au :// & i think it’s pretty fun when ppl make fanart and fics featuring tgcf characters, bc i love all of them~ i also rly wish there was a xue yang sour candy (blackpink & lady gaga) fmv, ha.
i used to write fics for a different fandom and then when i had to reread them to edit or write the next chapter i would cringe so much ahjdka. i used to fancy myself a good writer but that’s probably not true. & i don’t rly get the urge to write these days? even when i get an idea occasionally (*cough*xuexiao good place au*cough*), i’m just like ‘... can someone else do it? 😩’ lmao. i never planned my fics out or anything, i’d just get an idea, write it, and then edit it without rly adding or cutting out much. i always sucked at deleting my writing or rewriting something once it’d already been written~ ppl who write these incredible novel-length and quality fics that require so much thought and preparation... ugh, i’m just in awe of them!!
honestly it’d be cool to do anything, lol... write fics, sing, draw, play an instrument, make gfx, make rly smart thought-provoking posts, rly funny posts, know another language and be able to translate... but i guess we can’t all do everything (unless ur fricking,,, wang yibo or ten). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i’m just happy i’m finally making good gifs, that’s probably... my biggest achievement of the year ahjdks. (though i still struggle with the coloring every time 😩) i’m also currently working on a dumb fanvid and just teaching myself as i go, so if that turns out it’ll be cool to have that format to work with too~ & i’d like to learn how to make nice gif gfx but i just have no idea where to start rn...
ah that’d be so cool! the ost’s soooo nice ugh. wuji instrumental and yeben are god-tier (and during my rewatch i’ve noticed yeben’s used in like all the most emotionally devastating scenes lmao truuu)~
do you write fics? have you gotten into mxtx’s other works at all?

♡ 𝚐𝚎𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚖𝚎(𝚖𝚎) — 𝚘𝚘𝚌 𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚎.
In which Nikki could not get all three of her muses in one gif and @ariagrans comes through. ( @hollywoodland-hqs )
Tumblr media
How long have you been roleplaying?
I feel like I was roleplaying before I even knew what it was. So, 10 years, probably.
What are your hobbies outside of writing?
I am the most boring person ever. Lately I just work, sleep, and play Animal Crossing. I have a horrible attention span for some things, but I do enjoy reading when I have the energy to pick up a new book, watching TV shows (I love Barry and rewatched it a couple times, and have SNL playing a lot) and movies, faves being drama, horror and comedies. I also admittedly watch John Mulaney’s comedy specials far too often, is that a hobby?
Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
I live with my 5 year old dog Lucy (demon diva pug) and my family’s dog, Misty (wholesome black lab/pit mix pupper who is actually 9). We also have my sister’s ancient rabbit, Oliver, and our even more ancient turtle Speedy living with us.
If you had a month of free time to learn to do something new, what would you choose?
Sadly, I just had this and didn’t do it.. but, if I had a month of free time AND ambition / a will to actually do something, I’d love to relearn guitar and ukelele. I own both and I’m clueless to them now. I also would love to get into photography. Anything creative, I guess!
Do you listen to music while you write? What are three songs on your playlist?
Most of the time! Which is why my replies are probably a mess sometimes, oops. I have playlists for different ships, and am slowly working on muse playlists. Most of the time, though, I just listen to what I feel like at the time. Three random songs I’ve listened to most recently: Falling by Harry Styles, Liability by Lorde, everything i wanted by Billie Eilish. Yes, I’m a sad bitch sometimes.
What’s a favorite recent youtube video/channel?
I love Dylan Is In Trouble and his movie commentaries cheer me up. I also enjoy watching a lil bit of Buzzfeed Unsolved because Shane and Ryan are everything and true crime / the supernatural is interesting to me.
Tell us one random fact about you!
Some people know this already, but my only tattoo is on my forearm and it’s in Harry Styles’ handwriting. It says “all the love” and I got it just over 5 years ago. Dedication to my muse, check.
Who is an FC you’ve always wanted to use but haven’t yet?
Uhhh. I most recently picked up the ones I would’ve answered for this, so. Probably a female FC, but I’m not great at playing them therefore there’s always hesitation. Sophie Turner, perhaps. I also have FCs I’ve played years ago and would adore playing again for nostalgia, but I don’t think I’d get a good grip on them again. I guess that one would go to Brendon Urie.
What’s a plot you’ve always wanted to write but haven’t yet?
MORE ANGSTY STUFF. IDK.
Do you have a favorite plot you’ve seen someone else in the group do?
The Evan/Billie plot had me all whaaaaat. So, maybe that! But I genuinely enjoy seeing everyone’s muses and/or ships blossom, no matter what. ( @evanpeaters, @goodlourd )
Who on the dash makes you smile?
Is it cheating to say literally everyone? I think of this group as a family and am really happy writing with everyone. Some I’ve been writing with forever, and others I just simply love dearly. I’ll tag a few URLs I remember off of the top of my head, but this truly goes for everyone. ( @ariagrans , @ohlizzo , @itsgenevievegnt , @jocklowden , @hqnessa , @diannahq , @larsonhqs )
What is your favorite memory in the group?
I’ve been here since day 1, and seeing this place open and strive to become a safe haven in the RPC has to be the best memory. But from then on, I’ve loved stuff like group trips that allow everyone to interact.
What’s your favorite thing about your celeb(s)?
Harry Styles: I love how kind this man is. He truly has a heart of gold, and I try to showcase that as much as I can through writing him. I’ve stanned my lil Harry for so long, and seeing him become the person that he is makes me happy.
Bill Hader: This guy. I just love him, idk man. I could listen to his dumb laugh on repeat and the talent that he has amazes me. Cliche answer, but my favorite thing about him would be his personality. He can be serious but he also has that silly, funny side everyone loves and I think he’s well rounded and just such a delight. I adore him.
John Mulaney: I really like how open he is, especially with things that he’s struggled with and how he’s overcome them. I know he gives a lot of people hope that whatever they’re going through, it can be possible to come out on the other side. Watching him do stand up gets me out of dark times and I truly love him with my entire heart. One of my favorite people ever.
What’s a plot you miss?
I miss playing Joe and having Jack be savage as hell to him. I just miss playing him so much in general sometimes. #RIPJoe ( @jocklowden )
What would you love to see this group do in the future?
Group events are my favorite, so, stuff like trips, etc, never get old to me. I love having all my muses in one place and having some stuff sprinkled out during the week that they can chat about and get everyone involved. Maybe something like a Hollywood Land yearbook would be fun, a blog of some memories and superlatives that match our muses. To play off what Ina said, completely AU work projects that everyone could be on together sounds fun, like a movie with a random plot with directors, writers, actors, musicians on the soundtrack with a premiere at the end of it. I HAVE NO IDEA? Just... lovely group things that make my heart go whoooosh and make people feel loved and involved.

BuzzFeed Unsolved Episode Views
So, tumblr, I’ve been doing a Thing for the past 6 months. I’ve been tracking the view count of every single BuzzFeed Unsolved episode in a spreadsheet. Why? Well, it all started when I got curious as to what their most viewed episodes were and an innate desire to understand how the fuck YouTube works. After being mildly surprised by what I found, I looked them up again a couple weeks later (by which 2 episode of True Crime Season 5 had aired) and then decided to start keeping track of them all. At first, it was week-by-week during the True Crime season to see how the new episodes did and if that drove people to watch the older episodes. After TC ended, I did it less often but still checked back in every 2-4 weeks and now I’m doing it again for SPN s6. I realized yesterday that it’s been 181 days since I started, so I thought it’d be a good time to see how much each episode has been watched in the interim.
Full caveat: I am no actual statistics expert in anyway, this is just some stuff I’m doing for fun.
So, first off, for the purposes of this, I split up the episodes into pre-TC s5 and after. I don’t think it makes sense to lump them all in together since newer episodes get more views and all that jazz. That means for this first part, the newest episode I included was the Black Dahlia Revisited episode from January 2019.
Additionally, I round down when looking at YouTube’s view count. For instance, if an episode has been watched 5,499,999 times, I input it as 5.4 million views. (Same with an episode that has 5,400,000 views). So everything is rounded and approximate.
Now, onto the things I found out!
Over the past 6 months, the 80 episodes of BuzzFeed Unsolved were watched an additional 1.36 million times, on average.
True Crime episodes were watched on average 1.23 million more times, whereas Supernatural episodes were watched 1.48 million more times.
At that point there were 39 TC and 41 SPN episodes.
The episodes that gained the most views were, in order, The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel (3.5 million), The Haunting of Hannah Williams (3.4 million), and Three Cases of Ghosts and Demons (2.9 million). Episodes that were already in the top 15 most watched saw the biggest average gain, with the exception of The Bizarre Death of Elisa Lam, their most viewed episode (20.9 million views as of September 30, up from 20.1 million from April 2). Hannah’s House is an exception here as well, since it started much further down with 6.7 million views and now has 10.1.
I cannot overemphasize how popular Hannah’s House is. Despite only airing last November, it has more views than every episode aired since Goatman, not to mention many before that. It’s their 22nd most viewed episode ever, out of a current total of 93. People really enjoyed Shane high on Dayquil and the Ovilus fucking with Ryan.
The episodes with the fewest gains are the original Black Dahlia, Dyatlov Pass, and Hinterkaifeck. (.4, .4, and .3 million gains). On average, the older Shane-less episodes gained the least, with a few exceptions (Men in Black and Tupac fared better than the average).
Speaking of Tupac, I am forever amused that his episode has almost twice the view counts as Biggie’s. (12 vs 7.1) Poor Biggie.
Most of their alien episodes saw a slight bump this summer after the Area 51 raid was announced, which amuses me greatly. The one exception was the Pentagon UFOs episode, which I’m convinced has TERRIBLE SEO, as it never, ever shows up in the “other videos you might like” sidebar on BFU episodes. (This is how I usually get my view counts, it’s easier than clicking on every single episode every single time)
22 episodes have 10 million or more views.
Alcatraz was their most popular season 4 TC episode, by a lot (9 million views. #2 was Bobby Dunbar with 7.4. Fan-favorite Forrest Fenn has 5.4, so figure that out)
As of September 30, 2019, the ten most viewed episodes of BuzzFeed Unsolved are: Elisa Lam (20.9), 3 Cases of Ghosts and Demons (19.1), Exorcism of Anneliese Michel (17.4), The Illuminati (17.3), Men in Black (13.6), DB Cooper (13.6), Goatman’s Bridge (12.4), Queen Mary (12.3), Tupac (12), and The Axeman (12).
Now, for the newer episodes! There’s not as much to say on these, since they haven’t been out as long, but some things to note:
The 13 episodes of BFU that have aired since March 22nd averaged a 4.4 million view count. Not including the 3 that have aired in the past two weeks, the average jumps to 4.8.
The episode that had the most views in the week after the premiere was The Watcher. It’s their most popular of this bunch, with 7.4 million views. All Hail The Watcher, I guess.
The sponsored Supernatural episodes (La Llorona and Annabelle) both have 5.7 million views, which is pretty good and probably a strong point in favor of them returning to this well when they’re in between seasons. (and maybe bring back Curly. Please bring back Curly.)
Some other fun facts:
The 10 least watched episode of BFU are the following (I am not counting the 3 newest episodes here since they’re too new to hold a lot of weight): Texarkana Phantom Killer (4.5), Litveniko (4.3), Tombstone (4.1), Shark Arm Murders (4.1), Moon River Brewing (4), Florida Machete Murder (4), Pentagon UFOs (3.7), Yuma Prison (3.7), Walter Collins (3.7), Bugsy Siegel (3.3).
Most of those are newer, which makes sense. What does not make sense is why people don’t rewatch Yuma Prison all the time like I do. Do you not enjoy watching Ryan cry because of bats?
I added up the total views for both True Crime and Supernatural and divided by the number of episodes to see if one was more popular than the other:
The average True Crime episode has been watched 7.85 million times, whereas the the average Supernatural episode has been watched 8.22 million times. So, Supernatural, but it’s close enough that it’s probably not very significant. (Again, I’m not a statistics expert)
BUN now has 3 million subscribers! I don’t have the exact number when I started this, but it was around 2.3 I think. So congrats to the BUN team.
One last thing I want to note, is that I have no idea what is considered successful or not in terms of view-counts for this show so I would try not to draw any conclusions there. 3.3 million views is still a lot (it’s more than any of Polygon’s Unraveled series has, for a comparison). Also I wish I could tell you if Trending mattered but honestly, I can’t figure it out. YouTube is an enigma.
Anyway, I have no idea if anyone finds this as interesting as I do, but if you do, my spreadsheet is on Google Sheets here for viewing. You’ll notice I actually have an earlier column of view stats from March 13th, but as I did not have the exact view counts for the episodes with 10+ million views, I didn’t count it for this. (You have to individually click on each episode to see the precise view counts, otherwise YT just rounds down to the nearest million)
Feel free to send me asks if you have any questions. I cannot emphasize enough how much I am not a stats expert and that I’m not trying to make any big sweeping statements about anything. I just like data entry and have a lot of downtime at work.

for that bfu ask meme: 1, 3, 8 and 13! ✨
Q: “Are you a Boogara or a Shaniac?”
shaniac, baby! i definitely intellectualize way too much and find myself agreeing with shane’s opinions in bfu. however, i do find ryan’s theories compelling and i’m not above getting spooked when things go bump in the night. 👀
Q: “What are your top three favorite episodes of Unsolved?”
ooh, this is a hard one! i love every single episode, but off the top of my head, my top three would have to be:
1. Three Horrifying Cases Of Ghosts and Demons
this was one of the first episodes of bfu i watched and it remains one of my all time favourites. shane and ryan are doing their first investigation so it’s cute to see their new friendship and also how great their chemistry was right from the start! this is the one i queue up whenever i want to rewatch the series.
2. The Demonic Goatman’s Bridge
ah, a classic. this is actually the first bfu episode i watched, ever i think. i remember watching it and immediately getting hooked on the series right after, so i definitely love this episode. it’s iconic and always makes me laugh and it’s funny seeing ryan and shane banter through it. truly a classic.
3. The Strange Disappearance of D.B. Cooper
as much as i love the supernatural season, if i had to pick a true crime favourite, it would probably have to be the case of d.b. cooper. it’s such a lighthearted, entertaining case and it’s genuinely fascinating, not to mention hilarious with ryan and shane’s commentary. definitely gonna have to give this one a rewatch.
Q: “Are you religious?”
in terms of organized religion, i’m not a part of any specific group, nor do i really follow any specific belief system. i wasn’t really in a religious upbringing and as skeptical in general as i am, i try to just be a good person and have good morals rather than stick to one religion. however, i’d say i’m very open-minded about it all.
Q: “Have you ever had a paranormal encounter/experience?”
as far as i can recount, i have not, and i’m glad for that! i definitely think something like that is better left a mystery— i’ll leave the ghost hunting up to ryan and shane! 😆

Top 5 buzzfeed unsolved episodes? I wanna start watching it !
oh boi u ready for some ghoul boys action!! HELLZ YEAH
just fyi, i consider myself a believer after some movies and a kind of superantural encounter i had myself once and i was pretty paranoid and scared the first few days i binged it. but after finishing it and rewatching some funny moments, i am just laughing at the banter of ryan and shane  =D it is an incredibly funny series and the cases they cover are really interesting
imma just mix true crime and supernatural for this
an interesting episode (i wont include on my top 5 becasue it still creeps me out) is The Chilling Exorcism of Anneliese Michel. FIRST OF ALL her name was actually Anna Elisabeth and because my name is Elisabeth too i am really freaking out. SECONDLY! this was happening in Bavaria which is extremely close to my home and since they talk german (bavarian) in the audio recordings, i can actually understand it without subtitles and that.. throws me off sooo damn much you have no idea. so… just an extra note from me here =D
also, i dont know which episodes C.C. Tinsley and Ricky Goldsworth show up first but…. buut.. thats some really good fanart material =D
5. The Haunted Decks of the Queen Mary
Boats are scary man… Their Banter in this is really noice and honestly, to me, the toothpaste bag DEFINITELY wasn’t moved by gravity.. like.. dude, it literally goes up!
4.  The Incredible Alcatraz Prison Break
one of the newer episodes. personally i never knew much about alcatraz or why it was so famous and this episode was really interesting to me =) I really liked it.
3. The Mystical Villa Montezuma Mansion
kind of a calm episode when it comes to evidence on ghouls but their laughing about the guy who died playing piano is just fucking hilarious to me =D
2. The Demonic Goatman’s Brigde
the epidome of Shane being a Demon imo. Honestly tho, Shane is just, fucking hilarious in this episode =D the banter between them and Goatman is just ;)
1. 3 Horrifying Cases of Ghosts and Demons
the one that started it all! i am still laughing about ryans reaction to the flashlight. it would be my exact reaction to it too though.
but honestly, every episode is really good and incredibly interesting =D if not kind of scary
thank you so much for the ask, ma friend =)

AAAH I'M SO GLAD YOU WATCH BLACK MIRROR TOO. I was worried that was too obscure and I'd have to explain myself lol. CONTAINS SPOILERS ANYWAY but imagine if Shane was a bit more like the girl in the episode. Bc he's definitely more rational and he'd definitely propose the theory that the app wears down the user until they settle whereas Ryan would propose the theory that they were in a simulation (Maybe in his theory voice??? Like they're lying in bed talking about true crime and ghosts pt 1
Pt 2 And they come up to this theory and Shane just rebuffs him?? But as Ryan is about to let go of their hands Shane holds on tight and for once he almost believes or wants to believe in something that fantastical) BUT yeah I think Ryan despite his daydreams would maybe be more likely to not admit his love for Shane at first (maybe that's his only pairing ever w a guy and he thinks it's a mistake) but Shane would try to move on and eventually Ryan is going to be on board w their relationship
Pt 3 but Shane would definitely be more in character to discover the 4 stone skips and maybe more exploration in his internal debate between rationalisation and risk Bc to trust in something as tiny as throwing rocks is a lot. If their bond was any weaker it's something he'd dismiss for sure. And eventually he settles on the decision to run away whether from a simulation or a dystopia he'll get away w Ryan and hatches a plot while Ryan is moping and resigning himself keep Shane as a memory
Pt 4 God I thought that was my last one but I kept rereading your response and my friend is watching the episode and texted me so Shane would also be the one to check the timer. 100% Shane would. He's just too curious and logical. And Ryan would know some thing was off and Shane would have to deal w the guilt of being the one to start the countdown so earlier than expected. Also they start out as friends after that first date bc they get a longer time and Shane is Ryan's first guy (slowburn!)
I was up in the Black Mirror world from long ago when it used to air in 2011. I used to be (well, kinda still am) enthused about twilight zone-esque programs and most of the ones I watch are Japanese but after catching a remake sometime that year I looked back into western media to see if any shows have that anthology like style of creepy psychological thriller stories but Black Mirror was a cut above. When the new season aired, I didn’t think any episode would beat San Junipero for me but oh my lord Hang the DJ is Up There.
It’s honestly been too long since I watched the episode but it’s like you tipped me right back into the Feel of it and oh OF COURSE Ryan would be the one to pitch the simulation theory and oh my word, but it makes it that much sweeter that Shane the skeptic is the one that just grabs Ryan’s hand and pulls him to the edge of the world while they’re being chased by men with guns. Ahhh and the notion of Shane being Ryan’s only set up with a man and how it makes him doubtful about the connection they have and it’d wear him down faster as he gets paired and paired with so many people who just don’t do it for him.
I just keep picturing that moment Shane checks the timer secretly; he’s sitting in the thrilled feeling of being back with Ryan again and then suddenly their time together just starts to whir and reduce from years to days and Shane going “oh fuck no no no, stop Stop!”
I also like the thought of their first time sexually together happening way later after they’ve been given their second chance and Ryan finally trusting his feelings for Shane and not trying to pass off their connection as bros just being guys lol. That moment would be momentous because it’d be right before Shane, absolutely wrecked for attachment he feels for Ryan and the tiny glint of absolute greed wherein he can’t stand the idea of letting him go again, checks the time because he has to know, he has to find out how long he has to cherish this time but then the countdown speeds up because he broke their pact and kdsnfsjkfn wow, this would be a great multichapter AU. I don’t know as of yet if I’d write it because it’s already pretty much mapped out via the episode itself but if I do decide to do it, man I will absolutely die in Ryan’s feelings when he finds out about their countdown and just that moment when they decide to go sit at the restaurant to wait out their time. That last minute when Shane is just across the table, glancing at the guards who keep looking at him as if they know he’s going to do something against the rules and as their time clicks down, Shane convincing Ryan to just run with him. I’m soft and dying. This is perfect. dksjfnsdkjfn Thank you for feeding me more in the realm of this AU. I need to go rewatch the episode through a shyan lense now.

Dear, Dia (short for Diary)
It has been 20 days since the London Tombs Postmortem. 20 days of hiatus.
This is my first hiatus since I joined near the end of True Crime and just in time for Supernatural. Everyone knows there was no hiatus then. I never realized how dead the fandom could be.
I am sitting here, waiting, waiting for anything. The content has slowed and lessened dramatically.
Shane and Ryan still use their twitter and instagram, but it's not enough. There's still Unsolved Sports Conspiracies, it's not really my cup of tea. I want Unsolved Mysteries.
I'm getting desperate, Dia. I even rewatched episode with Brent. I don't want to do it again.
I'm not sure why I'm still here sitting there hiatus. I should've went back to my other fandoms, but I'm still here.
If only they told us the date they'd be back, I would've had something to look forward to, but they didn't.
I go to sleep, hoping that when I wake up, they're back. I go to school, hoping that when I'm home, hoping they're back. They aren't. I'm going to keep waiting.
Dia, I want My Boys back.

My Most Anticipated Films of 2018
Tumblr media
Looking out at the cinematic landscape on January 1st and trying to handicap which films you’ll end up connecting with is always a fools errand  (see: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009), but also a fun one. So with a mix of naivete and enthusiasm here are the films I’m looking forward to most in 2018.
Tumblr media
1. The Irishman (Martin Scorsese) Deniro. Pacino. Pesci. Keitel. Scorsese. (TBD)
Tumblr media
2. Roma (Alfonso Cuaron) In the last 12 years Cuaron has only made 2 films: Gravity and Children of Men. This simply cannot stand. For his latest he returns to a smaller scale Y Tu Mama Tambien territory. (TBD)
Tumblr media
3. Widows (Steve McQueen) Four Chicago women decide to take fate into their own hands in McQueen’s (very unexpected) follow-up to his Best Picture-winning 12 Years A Slave. (Nov 16)
Tumblr media
4. First Man (Damien Chazelle) Biopics are boring but sometimes you have an make exceptions. Hopefully Chazelle’s La La Land follow-up, which stars Ryan Gosling as young astronaut Neil Armstrong, will be one of them. (Oct 12)
Tumblr media
5. Suspiria (Luca Guadagnino) A re-imagining of the Dario Argento horror classic from the filmmaker behind Call Me By Your Name and A Bigger Splash. (TBD)
Tumblr media
6. The Incredibles 2 (Brad Bird) The original just might be Pixar’s best but with a 14-year gap between films and writer/director Bird seemingly cajoled into returning, can they recapture the magic? (Jun 15)
Tumblr media
7. Creed 2 (Steven Caple Jr.) The first film is the best Rocky movie and has become one of my most rewatchable movies of the decade. Fingers crossed that Caple Jr. will be able to fill Coogler’s massive shoes. (Nov 21)
Tumblr media
8. If Beale Street Could Talk (Barry Jenkins) In the Oscar-winning Moonlight filmmaker’s highly anticipated follow-up, a woman in Harlem desperately scrambles to prove her fiancé innocent of a crime while carrying their first child. (TBD)
Tumblr media
9. Black Panther (Ryan Coogler) After knocking it out of the park with Creed, here’s hoping Coogler will be allowed to bring an actual directorial vision to the Marvel Universe and not just allowed to color in the margins. (Feb 16)
Tumblr media
10. Solo: A Star Wars Story (Ron Howard) There is no way this can be good, right? (May 25)
Tumblr media
11. Apostle (Gareth Evans) A man attempts to rescue his sister who's been kidnapped by religious cult. From the director of The Raid. Bones will be broken. (TBD)
Tumblr media
12. The Girl In The Spider’s Web (Fede Alvarez) I didn’t care at all for the Swedish original but after Alvarez’s Panic Room-esque Don’t Breathe, I’m oddly excited to see if he can follow in the Fincher’s footsteps again to make a satisfying Dragon Tattoo follow-up. (Oct 19)
Tumblr media
13. The Old Man & The Gun (David Lowery) An aging bank robber pulls one last job in this improbable true-life folk tale which features Robert Redford, Elizabeth Moss, Tom Waits, Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek, Keith Carradine and more. (TBD)
Tumblr media
14. Hold The Dark (Jeremy Saulnier) Green Room proved Saulnier has the chops to make a balls-to-the-wall thriller. His latest centers on a writer hired by the parents of a missing 6-year-old to track down their son in the Alaskan wilderness. (TBD)
Tumblr media
15. Isle Of Dogs (Wes Anderson) It’s always nice to see Wes Anderson getting out of his comfort zone. JKJKJK. (Mar 23)
Tumblr media
16. Avengers: Infinity War (Russo Bros.) It’s disappointing to see the biggest superhero film of all time being directed by guys who who film action scenes like they’re from the early 00s TV show Alias but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯? (May 4)
Tumblr media
17. Ready Player One (Steven Spielberg) The book is nerd catnip filled with references to Spielberg films so it’ll be interesting to see the man himself pay himself homage though the CGI videogame visuals in the trailer do concern me. (Mar 30)
Tumblr media
18. The Predator (Shane Black) While I’m not at all interested in another Predator film, I am very interested in another Shane Black film, so they kinda balance each other out. (Aug 3)
Tumblr media
19. New Mutants (Josh Boone) X-Men as a teen horror movie? Sure, why not. (Apr 13)
Tumblr media
20. Under The Silver Lake (David Robert Mitchell) A long-in-the-works modern noir thriller set in Los Angeles starring Andrew Garfield and Riley Keough from the director of It Follows. (TBD)
Also: The Favorite (Yorgos Lanthimos), Mute (Duncan Jones), Halloween (David Gordon Green), Unsane (Steven Soderbergh), Annihilation (Alex Garland), Deadpool 2 (David Leitch), The Sisters Brothers (Jacques Audiard), Bad Times At The El Royale (Drew Goddard), Black Klansman (Spike Lee), Oceans 8 (Gary Ross).

About me (If you’re curious)
Hiya! So if you’re reading this that means you are somewhat curious about what I’m like and who I am, so say no more, I SHALL TELL ALL! (Just kidding, I gotta keep some air of mystery, you feel me?)
Height: 5′9
Birthday: August 12! so I’m a Leo
Favorite colors: I love all colors, but I wear mostly grays and blacks
Hobbies: Writing, drawing, painting, making costumes for plays, watching anime and random Youtube series because I’m trash, listening to podcasts, playing my DS, and playing otome because I am trash
Fun/Random facts: I love Harry Potter. I’m Voltage Inc TRASH. I suck at making lists. I am also Lovestruck Voltage trash. I am otome trash in general. I suffer from a nice cocktail of anxiety, OCD, and depression, fun times! I love making people laugh and smile. I adore all animals. I’m a rescue advocate. I love art history. I’m OBSESSED with true crime. My favorite podcast is My Favorite Murder. Vine compilations are my everything. I thoroughly enjoy having plants. I’ve rewatched Avatar the Last Airbender so many times I’ve lost count. My favorite Pokemon is Torterra. I have a very eclectic taste in stuff (I’m great at being specific aren’t I? 😒 😂  ) My hair looks like a lion’s mane (could be the Leo showing...) I would trust Shane and Ryan from the Buzzfeed Unsolved series with my life. Lovestruck currently owns my soul. The youtube series Gayle by Chris Fleming is my bread and butter. Pokemon Diamond is my brand of heroin. If I was a movie I would be rated pg-13 for occasional bad language and sadness! Along with Lovestruck, Voltage inc and Studio Ghibli take shifts on owning my soul. Katya Zamolodchikova is the aunt I never had, and Trixie Mattel is my busted Polly-Pocket. I am still bad at lists.
If you want to know my biases I have a whole separate list for that *finger guns*
