Oh to want to be strong and live out your inner edgy girlboss fantasies, except what spurned you on to make the jump from fantasy to reality is the you needed to become strong for the child you rescued from abuse.

An act of mercy was what made you willing to become ruthless against anyone who would hurt her.

Ruth lives up to her name more than I expected. She lives up to her name more than she knows. Because when she was brought in to help experiment on a child she decided to actually help the child instead.

I had 2 dreams last night.

In first I was inside this small terraced house apartment. Across was another terraced house with empty apartment. Between these houses was tiny road and tiny grass slices on both sides as small “front yards”. I had beautiful flowerbeds and small tables with statues etc. on the front yard when older man came there with tiny city excavator. I knew he was there to fix some underground piping since landlord had inform everyone about it. After a while, when I came to check how things were going at the front yard, I was shocked! This man with his tiny excavator had completely ruined my small front yard! He had literally dig everything upside down, adding a lot of new dirt on the spot! All my flowers were now ruined and buried same with the statues etc. This guy didn’t bother to come to tell me to come and remove / save all that what I could save. And the landlord, in his notification, hadn’t said ANYTHING that they would come and dig your front yard! I was crying SO MUCH since I had got very wonderful, ancient Japanese styled warrior frog statues from sis from Japan and now they were broken and buried! I was so sad and crying so much that I woke up in tears.

In next dream I was in some weird place (like always). I had small needle with a piece of tiny clear plastic pipe on top of it. This needle was piercing my left chest and heart. Someone came to my right and I saw them holding a syringe with clear yellow liquid. They pushed syringe’s needle in this small plastic pipe piece, starting to press the liquid in and it, naturally, came through this smaller needle in my heart. It stung! It stung so much and it burned slightly in some weird way. I had no time to react on that more since another syringe came from the right. I had another needle+plastic pipe thing on my right collarbone area and in this one was pushed lime green liquid. I don’t know what the hell THAT WAS but it made me scream! Normally person’s voice changes and they stop to take a breath when screaming but me... I screamed at least a minute straight with same tone and same strength! I heard this person to my right saying someone to my left how amazed they were by the effect of this liquid and how strong it made my lungs instantly (because I was able to scream like that). I felt the power of my lungs, definitely, but I was in pain too. I screamed in pain from the bottom of my lungs.

Now, I know I have been human test subject at least in 1 or 2 previous lives, now maybe even in 3. Let me tell you: It’s not fun.

A large scalpel hovers over whumpee's chest, held in his own shaking hands.

"How--how did you get out of your cell?"

"I picked the lock." The tip of the scalpel lowers slightly, almost scraping his skin.

"You picked the... " caretaker repeats, disbelieving.

The blade lowers further, touching whumpee's bare chest. He leans his head back against the metal surface, face etched with desperation. A bead of blood grows and trickles down his ribs.

"I have to do this. Whumper won't want to experiment on me if I'm ruined."

Constantly thinking about the Gotham foster care system. If Gotham is like a gothic fun house mirror caricature of everything that can go wrong in a major old east coast city, and the foster care system in real life is already laden with abuse and corruption, then what must the Gotham foster care system be like? Out of the cases we've seen on page, we've got: 1. Dick getting sent to juvie cause there's no room in the foster care system, 2. pre-crisis Nocturna manages to bribe her way into adopting Jason from underneath Bruce, 3. post-crisis Jason get's sent to a boy's home that turns out to be a front for grooming criminals 4. I think Duke has a relatively normal time? So you've got like a 25% chance

I don't think that the reason why Number One's homunculus came out perfect and everyone else's was defective is that No1 had a ""Superior"" extra wrinkly guinness record brain or whatever the fuck. It's most likely because, you know, the UG facility's research was probably way better funded and carefully, well, researched, and picked out just one individual to focus on cloning -- on the other hand, KW's Project: Homunculus was unbelievably fucking rushed because Huesca wanted so bad to have one over the unified government he just started raw dogging the experiments and collected the DNA of almost every single person in that city because even if their homunculi do come out a bit undercooked at least they've got the numbers babyyyyy take that unified fuck. I think more thought and care went into building all these damn clone pods we saw for all of them than their actual creation. "something unexpected occured in our efforts to find suitable DNA" -> "i will die in approx. 20 seconds and STILL I won't admit I any% blind speedran playing god and failed due to the easily foreseeable consequences of my abysmal choices. quick note - this blog is gonna be sparse again for at least this week. trying new medications and tbh initial side effects are not super pleasant + actual effects build up. as a result: currently as if unmedicated for mental health, with anxiety+ side effect, extra fatigue, dizziness, and fatigue. it's uh, sure something.

totally recognize that most of y'all know we're absent at times due to health things, just wanted to give a heads up that this one is at least anticipated.
