MC asks out hufflepuff!Soobin ft. gryffindor!Beomgyu

Soobin is a shy boy

//so i absolutely love hp and will never be able to resist writing hp aus... haha and im not on my actual laptop so all my headers for my shorts so far have been very lq and im too unbothered to fix them lol. anywayyy, hope you guys enjoy!

You sighed as you stared out the glass-stained windows dispiritedly, chin digging into your palm as you waited impatiently for Beomgyu to show up. The lazy big-mouthed Gryffindor had claimed that he wanted to head to Scrivenshaft’s since he had lost his last working quill. You were pretty sure you saw his Slytherin friend… Yeonjun was it?… slipping the quill from his bag when Beomgyu told him he could take it in exchange for a Pumpkin Pasty. However, the pastry was never placed and Beomgyu obviously forgot.

If you were in a better mood, you may have had the decency to remind Beomgyu of the supposed exchange but an hour late was enough of a reason not to.

As you blew at a strand of hair that fell into your face, your arm suddenly jerked from underneath you forcing your head to drop as it lost its only source of support. Immediately, you felt a hand on the back of your head accelerating your face towards the table. In defense, your other hand punched the body behind you as you turned your head back just in time to see the perpetrator.

Beomgyu doubled over with a face full of pain before he cracked a grin at you nonchalantly.

“You’re an hour late Beomgyu,” you grumbled before grabbing your potions book and slamming it against his arm firmly.

“Okay! Okay!” He threw his hands up in defeat before he pried the book from your fingers. “I’m sorryyyy. I got caught up in a round of bets and let’s just say today has been a very lucky day.”

You rolled your eyes at him before finally moving from the spot you had been seated in for the past hour, stomping away.

“I don’t even know why I waited for you,” you growled in annoyance as the Gryffindor chased after you with a cheerful laugh.

Beomgyu cooed as he bent sideways into your view, flashing his pearly whites while waving your book around, “Because I’m your best friend and you owe me.”

At the mention of owing him something, you halted and glared at him with as much menace as you could muster. It wasn’t everyday that you owed Beomgyu something. In fact, it was usually the other way around because owing Beomgyu meant getting into trouble you didn’t need to. If you asked anyone, most people only owed Beomgyu in extreme cases of desperation and you didn’t remember being that desperate recently.

“I don’t owe you, why do you say I owe you,” you hurriedly questioned him without trying to voice any panic.

Without as much as an answer, Beomgyu grumbled what you made out to be “Honeydukes, tomorrow, 5pm.” before you were suddenly shoved into the corridor.

Dumbfounded, you barely caught yourself as you stumbled wildly trying to steady yourself when a yellow and black scarf came into your view. You followed the stripes up to the face of its owner before your eyes widened in surprise.

Staring back at you just as wide-eyed was the tall and inexplicably shy Hufflepuff you had been crushing on for the past few months. Breath stuck in your throat, you simply stared at him while he stared back, unmoving like an animal caught under the Whomping Willow.

“Eh-herm!”

At the sound of Beomgyu coughing loudly behind you, you automatically found control in your limbs and mind again. Embarrassed, you straightened your posture and brushed away the nonexistent dirt on your robes before smiling softly.

“Hi Soobin,” you broke the silence with wavering confidence as you tried your best not to be so self-conscious of how you were looking at that second.

An obvious blush broke out across the boy’s pale cheeks as he slightly jumped in his spot in front of you.

“H-hi,” he managed to reply cutely in comparison to his usual timid whispers.

“W- hm, where are you headed?” You decided to ask, trying to drag the conversation on a little longer considering you didn’t get many chances to interact with the skittish Hufflepuff. Despite having a few classes with him and using them as excuses to ask him for notes or for his help (even though he tended to be incorrect when it came to Herbology), those interactions never seemed to last nearly as long as you wanted.

Soobin smiled, revealing his adorable dimples before adjusting the strap of his book bag on his shoulder, “I’m on my way to tutor Hueningkai on Potions.”

“Ah, Hueningkai… I’ve heard of him. He’s on the Quidditch team for your house right?” You hurriedly wracked from your mind, remembering Beomgyu mention him here and there whenever they had practice matches. If you remembered correctly the energetic boy was a Chaser.

Soobin’s smile grew wider at your supposed knowledge of the young wizard. With an enthusiastic nod, he seemed like he was going to continue off of your comment when your conversation was interrupted.

“Soobin!”

The shout was loud and seemed to bounce around the corridor from behind you.

You turned to see Hueningkai waving widely from the other end of the hall to Soobin before he started coming towards the both of you.

“A-ah, well we were planning to study in the Great Hall,” Soobin sighed with what you hoped was disappointment in having your conversation cut so shortly. He simply nodded to you with that and began walking away.

As you turned to watch him go, extremely disheartened, you spotted Beomgyu face palming from around the corner where he had been watching the entire time. With his reaction, you were suddenly reminded of the nonsensical set of words he had sputtered before shoving you away.

It all made more sense now and in all honesty you weren’t sure how Beomgyu had even figured out Soobin’s schedule for the following day, but you weren’t about to waste his appreciated efforts. You didn’t think you were desperate enough to get involved in his mischievous shenanigans either, but this time would be a definite exception. Totally worth it.

“Soobin!” You hurriedly shouted before he could get too far away.

The tall boy turned around with expectation clear on his face as he waited for your next words.

“Would you like to go with me to Hogsmeade tomorrow? To Honeydukes,” you decided to start with. You knew Beomgyu would be giving you an earful for chickening out last minute and not completely asking Soobin out directly.

Soobin looked at you with slight confusion before he repeated your words slowly, “Honey…dukes?”

You grinned widely and nodded eagerly, “At five pm.”

A few seconds of silence passed as Soobin pondered the thought, eyes drifting to the ceiling before he looked back towards you.

“You mean… like a date?”

You could see traces of pink dusting his cheeks again as he tried to remain calm in front of you, despite his eyes showing exactly how flustered he was feeling.

Feeling the confidence you had just a moment ago suddenly slip away, you felt your own cheeks burn up as you nodded carefully.

“If… you want to…”

At your response, Soobin immediately broke into a smile, his dimples peeking out again to tease your already sprinting heart.

“It’s a date.”

Beomgyu

- would do anything to get noticed by you. This man already set his eyes when you protect him from the dementor with your charming tiger patronus. No one can believe that you are actually on your first year to study on hogwarts, meanwhile Beomgyu is on his second year.

- "Listen, I don't want to get involved on your stupid plan just to get that icy junior ravenclaw girl. Do it by yourself," his friend being done with him.

- "Do you use Yn's shampoo?"

- "What? Of course no, this is amortentia (love potion), Slughorn gave this project to me!" his friend replied, annoyed because of him.

- "Then, why do it smells like Yn?"

- He believe, even if you seems cold and doesn't wants to make friends with people, you are actually a good person. Because if you're not, you wouldn't save him on that day. Turns out, he is right you afraid people will disappoint you just like your parents and your friends did in your past.

- "So, why don't you date me instead? I can keep my words that I would never disappoint you as your boyfriend."

Taehyun

- You and him are eventually being rival at everything.

- He is being the smartest, meanwhile you are the most ambitious student to get the first place

- You are the ace of DADA, meanwhile he is the best at making potions

- funfact: he is actually crushing on you because you look very cool and strong when you stood for yourself when people hates you just because you got sorted to slytherin. He become the top student, so you will notice him.

- He got what he wants, but turns out you hate him because now he harms your position as the top student

- but it's okay, it's the only way you and him will talk to each other even if as enemy

- but your image about being cool and strong disappear when you are crying on the tower alone because of your parents pressure you to become 'the perfect student' that they want. And Taehyun discover that, causing him wants to protect you more. You already confront him if he wants to make fun about you, but he proves you wrong when he put you on his embrace instead

Hueningkai

- At first it was the mutual help. He knows that it's impossible for hufflepuff and slytherin to end up together since slytherin and hufflepuff never on good terms, so he offer you a deal since he figured out something from you. He would help you to get close with Soobin and you would help him to teaching him in transfiguration and potions class. He just doesn't want his parents gave him another howler and embarrassed him in front of his peers.

- but the more he spend time with you, he can't help but fall in love with you

- your ambitions and passion to become an auror makes him mesmerized. Even though, you got sorted to slytherin, you never did such dirty things as slytherin stereotypes will do

- even if you look so strong, Hueningkai knew that you're not that strong. You act strong when all your friends from another house betray you, but when they are gone, you would cry. Hueningkai is always there for you, he keeps you company when you are crying

- He is all in ears when you need to talk about your problem, your pressure, or your bad day you've been through

- The only one who knew, even if you looks like you're always ready to slit people's throat, you are that type of person who can't even hurt a fly

TXT Members as Hogwarts Students

A/N: anyone who knows me knows I am a massive Harry Potter stan (started reading the books when I was 8) so I really really wanted to combine it with the boys! I also don’t have time for a full blown Harry Potter au at the moment so I thought some head cannons would be perfect to get it out of my system haha. Special shoutout to anyone who took the google survey I made cause that helped me form these!

My Slytherin boy

Yeonjun is the type of Hogwarts student who pretends like he doesn’t care about school but deep down he’s super dedicated to his studies

He really loves potions class

Tried to get on the Quidditch team but as soon as he got on a broom he knew it was not for him- he’s clumsier than he would ever admit

He’s a pure blood but never announced it cause he really does not think it matters

Super popular!! He has so many friends from all the different houses

He also is constantly advocating for Slytherins (we aren’t all villains!)

A total class clown too, definitely has cost the house a few points in his attempts to conjure up joke spells during class

If we’re placing him in the same timeline as the original Harry Potter characters, he would definitely be raising hell along with Fred and George

Really digs wearing the robes and ties cause he knows he looks fine, definitely checks himself out every chance he gets

Got a billion people asking him to the Yule Ball cause he is just That boy

Once stumbled upon the Room of Requirement when he was really craving food from home and he might have shed a few tears upon opening the door to see all his favorite snacks laid out on for him

You guys overwhelmingly voted that he is a Hufflepuff and I agree

He is a pretty shy and quiet student but all of the professors love him

I think he would be super into Transfiguration

Prefers wearing sweaters and cardigans to wearing the traditional robes

Probably part of the frog choir and secretly wants to join the Quidditch team but he’s afraid of hurting himself after seeing other people get hurt in his first year

All of his friends know that he’s actually hilarious and sometimes kind of an airhead

I feel like he would be from a muggle family

He had a tendency to get lost around the castle when he first showed up but it led him to finding a bunch of spaces to sit and enjoy being in the castle

He is obsessed with the aesthetics of the castle, definitely takes photos and writes down details to keep so he never forgets

He definitely has a pet cat that he adores and sleeps on the foot of his bed every night with him

You can always find him kind of fluttering around the castle either reading, talking to other students, admiring animals or just admiring whatever was in front of him

Okay the voting for him was extremely split?

But in the end more of you voted for him being a Gryffindor, which I can totally see

Beomgyu is definitely a pure blood and proud of it but not an ass about it

100% a Quidditch star, I could see him being a Keeper and absolutely rocking it

Much more lowkey about classes, he’s really at Hogwarts cause it’s a family tradition and make friends and vibe

You know that scene of Cedric laying on the bench in the courtyard? That’s Beomgyu’s vibe

He would also always be in the common room, lounging in front of the fire half asleep, just talking to whoever came in

Even though he isn’t quite as involved in school I feel like he would still really be secretly really good at spells, like give the boy any new spell to learn and it only takes him a few tries to get it right

I have an image of him laying on the couch in the common room late at night, casting spells into the darkness and just grinning to himself in satisfaction

Tries to act tough and brave about everything because of his house but he’s a massive softy who gets scared by the portraits every once in a while

Addicted to magical candies; chocolate frogs, every flavor beans, all that jazz

Ravenclaw!!!!!

I’m glad most of us are on the same page here

The image of Taehyun, hair slicked back, quill bouncing between his fingers as he reads? Yes please

I think he’d be a half-blood and this would accelerate his interest in learning all things magical before he even got to Hogwarts

He loves Defense Against the Dark Arts and learning all of the protection spells because he’s such a cautious and caring person that he wants to be ready for any situation

Finds the patronus charm most fascinating and beautiful

Isn’t a Quidditch player but definitely watches all of the games and occasionally bets on them cause he’s really good at predicting who will win

He also is pretty popular and has a lot of friends from different houses

Taehyun is definitely the type to hold study groups and make sure that everyone is on the right track

But cross him a single time and suddenly you’re enemies. One time someone got him in trouble for reading from the restricted section and he hexed their quill so they failed every assignment they had

I can see him also being all about night-time at the castle and he definitely lives for the Hogsmeade trips

As much as he loves being at Hogwarts he has a heart for traveling and would often wander out to Hagrid’s hut and the woods and imagine what it’d be like to run away

He would definitely want to become an Auror once he leaves Hogwarts

Okay as much as I hate the house stereotypes

Kai is the classic Hufflepuff one

He’s sweet, funny, super kind and just the kind of person that you always want around you

Probably a half-blood too, but his magical parent didn’t tell him much about Hogwarts just so the surprise was still there

Strikes me as a student who loves and excels at Herbology- I could see him having a group of little plants that he keeps on his bedside table

Literally always laughing about something, the sound of his giggles bounce through the hallways almost 24/7

He is extremely outgoing and you could find him in the middle of groups of students quite often, always telling some kind of story

The kind of kid who would forget to eat at dinner because he spends so much time talking to his friends

Not much of a reader but he loves the comfy furniture in the library so he’s there quite often

Animals love him and just sort of jump out of the woodwork toward him; he visited Hagrid once and before he knew it Fang was asleep with his head in Hueningkai’s lap

He’s also huge on house pride and totally goes out of his way to get Hufflepuff more house points

YEONJUN

you met yeonjun at the beginning of your first year at hogwarts, on the hogwarts express. you were a muggle born, so everything was very big and scary and new to you. yeonjun, a second year at the time, came from a long line of witches and wizards and he could tell that you were nervous, so he sat next to you on the train and bought you a chocolate frog. he explained what the card meant, biting back a laugh at how excited you got over the moving picture. you’ve been inseparable ever since. yeonjun, being older and more familiar with the wizarding world, always does his best to protect you and teach you. he likes being someone you can depend on.

SOOBIN

house – hufflepuff

wand – 10 inch, birch, dragon heart string core

blood status – half blood

OKAY BUT CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING THE CUTEST LITTLE HUFFLEPUFF COUPLE WITH BINNIE?? like everyone knows you around the school because you started dating in like first year and you’re still going strong. y’all are so cute, but not in a suffocating way. you hold hands everywhere, but other than that you don’t do a lot of skinship in front of everyone (you’re too shy). soobin still blushes whenever anyone brings up your name. you’re the beaters on the hufflepuff quidditch team and you work really well together because of how easily you communicate. the way the two of you play (very aggressively) contrasts your soft personalities so much and people eat it up. you’re very popular, even with students who aren’t in hufflepuff or your year.

BEOMGYU

for a long time, you and beomgyu didn’t like each other. you were a gryffindor, so there was already animosity between you from the beginning and then a strange sort of rivalry started between you after you got paired together during a ‘defense against the dark arts’ class. every time one of you lost house points or got a bad grade, it felt like the other was just waiting to laugh at you. it didn’t help that all of your friends thought he was cute and constantly teased you about him. it wasn’t until one day, after gyu made a mistake during one of your ‘care of magical creatures’ classes that landed you in the infirmary with a nasty burn on your tummy, that he finally admitted that he had a crush on you (after profusely apologizing for getting you hurt).

TAEHYUN

The day after they all met at the Astronomy Tower, Beomgyu was absolutely restless and his head was a mess once he woke up in the next morning. He couldn't shake off the fact that Yeonjun and Y/n were going to the Yule Ball together.

"Are you alright honey?" Lola asked Beomgyu as they ate breakfast in the Great Hall. He only nodded his head in response to reassure her and continued to be in his own thoughts, noticing her roll her eyes as Lola continued to talk to her best friend.

In the afternoon Beomgyu had decided to talk to Y/n and have a proper conversation about her letter addressed to him.

"Kai have you seen Y/n anywhere?" He asked the Hufflepuff, Hueningkai nodded and told him that he had ran into her as she was on her way to the owlry before heading off to his next class. Beomgyu thanked him and ran off to catch up with Y/n.

"Y/n wait up!" Beomgyu called as he saw her walk up the stairs. The girl immediately turned around and gave him a confused look. Then, raising a brow, Y/n had stopped halfway up the stairs as he slowly caught up to her.

"Why did you follow me all the way here Choi? Aren't you ever so busy with your dumb little play thing?" Y/n sneered as Beomgyu winced, she had never addressed him by his last name unless she was ever serious about how she felt, so it felt like a stab in the chest on his end.

But, he wanted an answer, so Beomgyu let out an exasperated sigh and looked at Y/n straight in the eye, a hint of sadness in his own orbs from her previous tone.

"Are you really going to the Yule Ball with Yeonjun?" Y/n frowned at his question and nodded without skipping a beat, then it was her turn to huff as she continued up the steps to the owlry.

"Since when were you even interested in my personal affairs after all these months Choi? I know you’ve received my letter but those feelings are long gone and put to rest I'm afraid" Y/n replied sternly, her tone devoid of any other emotion.

Walking up to Yeonjun's owl, she ties a letter and a small package with another letter before sending him off.

"I'm just concerned because my cousin is bad news when it comes to things like this" Beomgyu knew he was lying through his teeth but he had to do what he needed. After all, Y/n was the first girl Yeonjun was openly or even interested in but, he had to press an answer out of her somehow.

"Don't lie to yourself, please Beomgyu. Everything can't always be about you, and I genuinely want to give him a chance. Yeonjun's been with me through it all, now can we please get over this? You have a girlfriend and it’s not like you ever liked me like that" Y/n then brushed past Beomgyu, leaving him by himself to wallow in his own thoughts and to think about the consequences.

"Why am I even meddling? She's right you idiot" he sighed to himself and left to go talk to his older brother Soobin.

Standing in front of the doors leading to the Hufflepuff common room, Beomgyu awaited his older brother and best friend.

"You needed us?" Soobin walked out of the door with Hueningkai trailing behind him, the latter itching his head awkwardly.

"Soobin I think I need to come back to my senses, I don't know if I still like Y/n or not, but Lola is starting to get on my nerves" Beomgyu said quietly. The older male was floored upon hearing his confession.

Whilst Hueningkai was taken aback, both him and Soobin had continued listening to what else he had to say.

"You like Y/n? But Beomgyu, didn't you reject her indirectly by dating Lola?" Hueningkai asked in confusion.

Why would he say that when he's already in a different relationship thats out of the picture? It didn't add up whatsoever.

"No it’s like that, it’s just seeing her with Yeonjun feels weird and I just don’t want it to happen, not after reading the letter at least" the two Hufflepuffs then stared at each other wide eyed. This really wasn't looking good, but nonetheless they decided to console Beomgyu knowing his feelings had gotten the best of him.

That afternoon, during their study period in the Great Hall, all the students gathered due to their exams coming up soon. Not without the group of friends making themselves comfortable at the Slytherin table as per usual.

"Is Beomgyu seriously gonna keep this up and continue ditching us? He's getting out of hand at this point if he thinks he can just jump in at any moment he’d like" Eunseo rolled her eyes as Hueningkai ruffled her hair chuckling, he found her adorable when she was angry.

Soobin smiled at the two and turned to the hard working Taehyun in front of him, then looked at Y/n and Yeonjun beside him. The two were laughing while studying together, both seemingly distracted without a single care in the entire world.

From the other side of the room, Beomgyu couldn't say the same. Lola's friends were too boisterous and he tried to keep his anger on the inside, yet he couldn't step in otherwise his girlfriend would be suspicious and would doubt his feelings towards her.

"Please remind me why you're all here at the Slytherin table so often" Yeonjun asked his friends out of the blue.

The three shrugged knowing it wasn't out of the ordinary to really mingle with other houses, they were just starting to get too comfortable going to their table very frequently.

"Would you really be ok with the Gryffindors being rowdy? You wouldn’t get anything done. Meanwhile the Hufflepuffs would probably be too quiet and boring, and the Ravenclaws despise you guys for no absolute reason. Meaning technically, we have no other choice either way" Taehyun replied.

Y/n stifled a laugh and Soobin snorted across the table, then Eunseo threw a pencil at him as he dodged it. "Woah I'm sorry" Yeonjun laughed awkwardly and hid behind Y/n.

"Tyun's on his period because Beomgyu hasn’t been around these days, don't worry he'll calm down soon" Hueningkai reassured jokingly as Taehyun glared at him, but he couldn't really deny it either, Beomgyu was barely with them anymore, it was almost as if he was a figment of everyone’s imagination as the memories with him start to become nothing more than distant ones.

"Ok enough, you five shut up, I wanna study. Beomgyu will come around once his girlfriend leaves him so give it time because we all know she’s a bitch that sleeps around" Eunseo huffed as the rest laughed, resuming their studying and seriously this time. Meanwhile, Beomgyu couldn't help but notice his friends’ laughter, his heart aching from the feeling of longing to be with them all again.

When night had finally rolled around at Hogwarts and everyone was finally getting ready to rest after dinner, he found Hueningkai, Soobin and Taehyun heading to the dormitories together and decided to catch up with them.

"Guys wait up! Are we still up for our usual outings at Hogsmede on Saturday?" They all turned to Beomgyu and paused, slightly feeling pity for him, but then they remembered that he'd been shutting them out for months almost. Only ever joining them for a moment before disappearing again.

"Yeah, we'll meet at the same place in the courtyard, be there on time ok? You always wake up so late" Soobin laughed at his younger brother, trying to ease up the tension.

After all, he was a Hufflepuff and had a good heart no matter how hard he tried. He just couldn't do this to his family member, let alone his own younger brother.

Beomgyu nodded and the rest had gone their separate ways to their own dormitories, and he was about to head to his when someone had suddenly called his name from behind.

"Beomie!" He turned to find Lola running towards him as she clung onto his arm.

"Let's go back to the common room now my Beomie bear. By the way, it's almost Saturday, should we go on a date?" Lola said cheerily, her and Beomgyu walking back to their common room together as he smiled.

Truthfully, he simply couldn't keep his thoughts together as Saturday was religiously a day for him and his friends, he couldn't just blow them off again like these past few months could he? The guilt was practically eating him up from the inside out.

It was a cloudy day, perfect for students as they walked around aimlessly at the grounds before the anticipated quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff started.

Hueningkai, the Hufflepuff seeker, should have been making his way down to the Quidditch Pitch.

That’s why Y/N was so confused why they chose to be up in the owlery—laughing maniacally at her in amusement.

“Why are you even here?” She whined, clutching her letter to her chest.

“Well, I was curious why you weren’t in the stands to cheer me and Taehyun on,” Kai grinned, wiggling his eyebrows in a teasing manner. “Clearly, you’re more interested in sending a letter to a certain Slytherin,”

Kai laughed again, dogding a flying shoe courtesy of the girl.

“Good aim, want me to train you for Chaser?” Kai said nonchalantly, walking closer to the owls.

“No, thank you. Shouldn’t you be down at the pitch?” Y/N sighed in irritation, clutching the letter closer to her as he scooted closer—his eyes trained on the small envelope.

“Not going without you,” Kai snorted, crossing his arms. “What did you even say in the letter?”

“I’m going to confess—tonight at the Astronomy tower,” Y/N declared firmly, before burning red again as she shot Kai a small pout. “Do you think he’ll like me.”

Kai only gave her a small smile.

“He’d be stupid if he didn’t,” Kai grinned, gesturing his head over to the envelope. “Now, come on. Send that off and let’s go, we have a match.”

Y/N huffed, raising the envelope to Beomgyu’s owl—watching as it opened its wings and flew off to drop the anonymous envelope to Beomgyu.

It’s been a year, huh? Can we meet at the astronomy tower at midnight? I have something to ask you about the Yule Ball in a few weeks. -your admirer.

Y/N has always been around Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Kai for as long as she can remember.

Growing up, the five boys were practically hounding at her every day.

Soobin was her older brother, the perfect brother one can have—doting but not too overbearing, talented and charming, smart but can be airheaded most times.

It was through him that she met Yeonjun, his soon-to-be best friend and new next-door-neighbor.

Of course, that automatically meant meeting Yeonjun’s little brother, Beomgyu.

The mischievous pest warmed up really quickly to her—what with their mutual desire to torture their older brothers with endless pranks.

Then, they met Taehyun and Hueningkai through their parents.

Kai’s mother and Taehyun’s father were good friends with their parents, as well as Yeonjun’s and Beomgyu’s.

Of course, a reunion between old friends means a meeting between their children—and the moment Y/N met Kai she swore she found her other half.

Platonically speaking.

Sure, Taehyun and Beomgyu were so in sync with him, and Soobin and Yeonjun were just the perfect hyungs to be.

Y/N was different.

She was instantly hooked the first time he gave her the softest smile—introducing himself as “Hueningie” instead of his actual name of Kai and offering a cuddle of his plushie as a welcoming gift.

It wasn’t until they were around 10 years old when Y/N started realizing what love was—it was what she felt for her other best friend—Beomgyu.

Of course, Hueningkai knew this.

Of course, he didn’t say anything.

Even if he knew her love would hurt him in the long run.

Y/N rushed, hands shaking as she made her way up the Astronomy to finally tell Beomgyu how she’s felt for years.

She made sure she wouldn’t make him wait—going there thirty minutes before even the agreed time.

But it seems like someone beat her to the punch—two someones.

By the observation deck stood Beomgyu, cheeks burning red as he conversed with a short girl with long brown hair.

Lee Daeun—Slytherin, one of the prettiest in her house, and Beomgyu’s crush since freshman year.

He swore up and down that he grew out of his crush on her—obviously not with the way he blushed a bright red.

“This is you?” Beomgyu asked as he held a couple of envelopes in his hands—all love letters that Y/N herself wrote throughout the duration of the year.

“Yes,” Daeun replied shyly as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. “I really liked you, Beomgyu, so I thought I should send you some letters,”

Beomgyu smiled softly.

“You do?”

“I do,”

“What did you want to ask me?” Beomgyu asked gently, hand reaching out to grab the girl’s.

“Will you take me to the Yule Ball, Beomie?” Daeun asked, using Kai’s childhood nickname that only Y/N was allowed to use.

Instead of bringing that up, Beomgyu’s eyes brightened up as his smile widened even more.

As Y/N watched the scene from a the doorway, arms circled around her waist and a chin rested on her head.

“It’s okay,” Kai sighed, tightening his grip.

“What are you doing here?” Y/N asked, hand trailing down to grip his tightly.

Hueningkai buried his face in her hair, muttering as his eyes locked onto the scene in front of him—Daeun giggling non-stop as Beomgyu smiled brightly.

“I’m here to tease you,”

“Then tease me,” Y/N replied, voice wavering. “Tell me how stupid I am for falling in love with one of my best friends.”

“Falling in love with your best friend isn’t stupid,”

Y/N didn’t reply, watching as Beomgyu leaned forward and planted a kiss on Daeun’s lips.

Kai didn’t speak as Y/N turned around, burying her head in his chest and starting to cry.

He just tightened his grip on her.

“Falling in love with your best friend hurts, Kai,”

Kai smiled sadly.

“I know,” Kai said. “I know how it feels,”

There, four beating hearts stood underneath the same bright stars—nothing but the shining moon to witness the pain and heartache.

The next day, Kai sat next to Y/N and Soobin in the Gryffindor table—chewing happily on a pancake.

Mina, the Gryffindor prefect passed by.

“Aren’t you supposed to be at the Hufflepuff table?”

Kai only grinned.

Soobin, who was the other Gryffindor prefect, waved his hand nonchalantly.

“It’s nothing big,” Soobin replied, tearing into another piece of bread—continuing his statement with a mouthful. “People do it all the time,”

“I’m sorry—house divisions exist for a reason. Tables are separate for a reason and—“ Mina’s eyes hardened, mouth opening to argue more.

A body decked in an emerald green plopped down next to Soobin with a groan.

“It’s 7:00 AM on a Sunday, Mina,” Yeonjun glared. “Literally take that stick out of your arse and leave us alone,”

“A Slytherin—“

“Leave or I’ll tell Professor Binns you cheated on your History of Magic exam yesterday, Ms. Prefect,” Yeonjun hissed, effectively shutting down the girl.

After Mina huffed and marched away, Yeonjun rolled his eyes.

“Good morning,”

Soobin greeted back—mouth still full of bread loaves—while Hueningkai waved.

Y/N just gave a weak smile.

“Why are you here?” Soobin asked once he swallowed down his food.

Taehyun arrived, sitting down next to Hueningkai—his blue robes standing out.

“Is it because Beomgyu and his new girlfriend are getting too disgusting?” Taehyun asked, reaching out to take a slice of meat from the serving plate in front of Hueningkai.

“It’s 7 in the morning—I have no patience for that crap—“ Yeonjun said, before raising his voice. “Or you, Mina—shut it!”

Soobin continued chewing, eyebrows furrowing inquisitively.

“Wait,” Soobin tilted his head. “He has a girlfriend now?”

“Yeah, Lee Daeun,” Yeonjun grumbled.

“But—“ Soobin started, is eyes falling on his sister. “Oh, so that’s why.”

“Can we not talk about this?” Y/N asked.

“Talk about what?” Beomgyu’s voice asked as he appeared behind them, hands on Y/N’s shoulders happily.

“Nothing,” Kai grumbled as Beomgyu raised an eyebrow.

“Okay?” He laughed, hand tugging on the sheepish girl behind him. “Everyone, this is Daeun. My girlfriend.”

Y/N didn’t react, only continuing to poke with her food.

“Hi,” Yeonjun grumbled.

“How exactly did this happen?” Soobin piped up.

“Or when?” Taehyun added.

“Last night,” Beomgyu recalled happily. “Remember the letters I’ve been getting? It’s all her.”

Soobin and Yeonjun—who both found out about the letters—and Taehyun—who, much to the dismay of Kai, suggested Y/N do the letters—all widened their eyes to look at the Slytherin girl giggling next to Beomgyu.

“No, she isn’t,” Yeonjun said, pursing his lips at the glare Kai sent his way.

“I am,” Daeun said happily, giggling as she leaned on Beomgyu’s arm. “And now we’re dating and going to the Yule Ball,”

Before anyone could say anything, Y/N slammed her fork on the table and wiped her lips with a napkin.

“I’m not hungry anymore.” Y/N said.

Beomgyu furrowed her eyebrows.

“Y/N, you barely ate.”

“I lost my appetite.”

“But why—“

“That’s because anyone would lose their appetite with you and your girlfriend around, Choi,” a voice declared. “I would retch.”

Kai groaned, head slamming on the table in exasperation.

Soobin continued eating as Yeonjun started to mix a cup of coffee for him and Taehyun—invested in the scene in front of them.

Beomgyu’s eyes immediately darkened as he looked over at the approaching Gryffindor.

It was true—no matter how much a Slytherin or a Gryffindor liked each others’ houses, there’s always that one person from another house that they hate.

In Beomgyu’s case, that was Song Hanbin.

“I don’t recall you being part of the conversation,” Beomgyu quipped to which Hanbin only smirked.

“I don’t recall your friends inviting you over to eat with them,” Hanbin shot back.

“Technically, we invited no one—they just came on their own,” Soobin said, which was ignored.

“Anyways, Choi, don’t worry your pretty little head—I’m not here for you,” Hanbin said. “I’m here for Y/N.”

The said girl’s head shot up, along with Kai’s.

Hanbin turned, smiling over at Y/N.

“I think you’re really beautiful, and I’ve been admiring you from afar for years now,” Hanbin started.

At this point, Hueningkai’s eyes were wide open—a signal for help sent to his hyungs, who were the only ones who knew about his feelings for Y/N.

Granted, he felt weird that her older brother was so invested in his sister’s love affairs.

Soobin and Yeonjun only exchanged a look of panic, Taehyun next to them signalling a cut across his neck.

“Stop it now!” Taehyun mouthed.

“I think you’re a really smart, captivating girl,” Hanbin continued. “And I’d really like it if you went to the Yule Ball with me,”

At this point, Y/N’s eyes darted all over her friends’ faces.

Beomgyu was positively fuming while Hueningkai was burning bright red in panic.

“She’s not going with you,” Beomgyu replied for Y/N.

“Well, that’s not your choice, is it? Focus on your girlfriend.” Hanbin replied, mocking Beomgyu before Y/N spoke.

“I’m not going with you—“ Y/N said. “I’m going with Hueningie,”

At this, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Soobin and even Kai himself stopped—freezing as Y/N smiled over at Hanbin.

“Thank you, Hanbin. I’m flattered, but I’m already going as Kai’s date.”

“You are?” Kai squeaked as Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows.

“That’s unfortunate,” Hanbin smiled, shrugging as he backed away. “Better luck next time, eh?”

“Sure,” Y/N nodded, looking back at Kai.

“You’re going with me?” Kai said, a hopeful tone to his voice.

“Of course,” Y/N started, but was cut off by Beomgyu shaking his head.

“No, you’re not?” Beomgyu said, making Y/N turn to him.

“Why not?”

“You don’t like him, right?” Beomgyu said. “Why are you going on a dance with him?”

“None of your concern, Beomie, or maybe I should just call you Beomgyu.” Y/N sighed, standing up and sending an exasperated nod to a frozen Daeun.

“Huh?” Beomgyu asked.

“Have a nice day,” Y/N cracked a small smile as she nodded over to the couple.

As she left, Kai stood up—shooting Beomgyu an incredulous look.

“Next time, try to clarify who exactly you’re talking to and meeting,” Kai said. “Daeun didn’t send those letters.”

Kai left, following Y/N.

One by one, Taehyun, Soobin and Yeonjun took their leave.

Hogsmeade—the district next to Hogwarts where students frequent to do their purchases and spend on a whim during their stay in Hogwarts.

Soobin and Yeonjun—one of the most sought-after in the school—decided to play a prank on their admirers by going to the ball together.

When offered to buy dress robes together, Yeonjun and Soobin refused to go with Kai and Y/N, choosing to go to instead head to the Shrieking Shack (which the both of them have seen a couple of times already, but still frequent to scare the innocent students looking at it for the first time).

Taehyun decided to be a lone wolf—stating that he’d either leave early or make fun of people with Soobin and Yeonjun.

For dress robes, he said he made a promise to go with his Ravenclaw buddies.

No one has talked to Beomgyu since that day with Daeun.

All five promised to meet up at Three Broomsticks at exactly 7 in the evening. It was currently only 2 in the afternoon.

Kai and Y/N found themselves in Gladrag’s Wizardwear—only among the selected few who decided to go for dressrobes first.

Taehyun was already finished by the time they arrived—waving a goodbye and promising to be at Three Broomsticks.

“Yeonjun and Soobin are going to be stuck in line later,” Y/N said as she thumbed through the selection of dresses.

Kai, with arms already holding a brand new set of plain black dress robes, snorted.

“We did tell them to come with us,” Hueningkai said, eyes locking onto Y/N’s arms. “Will you be wearing all of these?”

“Trying out some of them, yeah,”

“I think you look really beautiful in blue,” Kai said, burning bright red when Y/N looked at him in shock. “Just—Just a suggestion,”

Y/N smiled softly.

“What about red?”

“I think you look beautiful in everything,” Kai said, coughing akwardly as he looked off to the side. “I just really like blue.”

“Okay,”

In the end, Y/N got a beautiful blue dress and they left the store with bags carried in Kai’s left hand, and Y/N holding the other.

Hands still tightly clutched in Hueningkai’s, Y/N pouted as she tried to choose what flavor of no-melt ice cream she would purchase for the day.

“Maybe mint chocolate?” Kai suggested making the girl wince, looking over at the boy who was already eating his own ice cream in the wretched flavor.

“That’s disgusting,” Y/N hissed, scrunching her nose up in disgust. “It’s like eating cold toothpaste.”

“No, it’s not!” Hueningkai argued, making the girl roll her eyes and settle on a flavor.

“Vanilla with Cookie Dough, please,” Y/N requested.

“That’s so boring,” Kai commented as Y/N received her own cup.

“You’re boring!” Y/N shot back.

With a grin, Hueningkai shoved a spoonful of mint chocolate ice cream in Y/N’s mouth—laughing maniacally.

Y/N whined as she pulled the spoon out.

“It tastes so weird,” Y/N groaned.

Hueningkai laughed as Y/N continued to whine, stopping when he saw Y/N’s lips with a small crumb of ice cream.

“Your—uh—“ Kai said. “You have um—“

“What?”

Kai didn’t reply, reaching out and brushing the corner of her lips.

Y/N’s eyes widened as Hueningkai blushed, brushing the crumb off of his hand.

“You had a—“ Hueningkai stopped, eyes locking with Y/N’s. “Something.”

Y/N didn’t speak, eyes searching his as Hueningkai started to lean down.

“Excuse me, are you guys still in line?”

Y/N flinched, stepping back in surprise as Hueningkai turned to a bored-looking Slytherin.

“Oh, uh, no,” Kai replied, hastily pulling Y/N out of the way. “Sorry,”

“Next time, make out somewhere more private than a sweets shop.”

Y/N blushed red as Hueningkai stammered.

Next to them, the ice cream clerk was smiling.

Y/N sat next to Hueningkai in Three Broomsticks—laughing loudly as Yeonjun and Soobin started to argue about some stupid things.

Taehyun smirked off at the side, chiming in every once in a while to aid either party to make the argument bigger and bigger.

Hueningkai and Y/N sat side by side, hands awfully close to one another.

The Hufflepuff breathed deeply, ready to grab Y/N’s hand and intertwine it with his before—

“Hi,” A voice greeted meekly, revealing a shy Slytherin walking up to the table.

“Beomgyu?” Y/N asked in surprise as Beomgyu stepped forward. “Where’s Daeun?”

Beomgyu pursed his lips, shaking his head.

Y/N’s eyes turned sympathetic, hand reaching out to land on Beomgyu’s arm.

“Beomie, it’s okay, you don’t deserve a liar,” Y/N said, smiling.

Beomgyu only smiled, squeezing her hand on his arm.

“Will you meet me at the Astronomy Tower tonight, then?”

Y/N chuckled.

“Sure, if you sit down and eat right now.” Y/N smiled back.

Yeonjun snorted, resuming his argument with Soobin.

Beomgyu smiled and took a seat next to Y/N.

At the side, Hueningkai retracted his hand next to Y/N’s.

He’ll probably have to stay with Taehyun, Soobin and Yeonjun for the Yule Ball.

Y/N reached the top of the Astronomy Tower, smiling slightly at the sight of Beomgyu sitting on the ledge of the observation deck.

“Hey,”

“Hi,” Beomgyu replied, still looking up at the stars.

“Just you?” Y/N asked, making Beomgyu laughed as he glanced over at her.

“I promise—no Daeun this time,” Beomgyu said, patting the spot next to him. “Sit.”

“What if I fall?”

“I won’t let you,” Beomgyu smiled, hand steadying the girl as she plopped on the spot next to the boy.

There was a beat of silence before Beomgyu sighed.

“This is how it should have been,” He started, eyes drifting towards Y/N. “Isn’t it?”

Y/N only hummed, chuckling softly.

“Maybe, but things happen.”

Beomgyu smiled, raising an eyebrow.

“So you made me all those letters, huh?”

Y/N winced, shrugging.

“Yeah, blame Taehyun.”

“Oh, I will,” Beomgyu snorted. “He told me you didn’t like me,”

Y/N laughed, looking at Beomgyu. “Well, I told him to.”

Beomgyu only sighed, smiling as he combed a hand through her hair.

“I liked you, Y/N, I always have.” Beomgyu said. “If it was you, and not Daeun, that I met up here that night, it would have been you and me,”

“I was up here, that night,” Y/N shared, shaking her head. “I saw what happened—how she told you it was her and everything.”

“And the kiss?”

“Yeah,”

Beomgyu winced, making Y/N chuckle.

“It’s fine, you know. I had Kai—he followed me,” Y/N explained.

Beomgyu nodded, hand taking hers.

“You know, Y/N,” Beomgyu said. “If you asked me now, I’d say yes.”

Y/N smiled softly—the past few weeks rolling around in her brain.

The one person who cared about her enough to follow her every step of the way, who was there when she got hurt that night.

The one who was there to pick up the pieces and side with her throughout all this time.

The one who always hid in the shadows and backed off when Y/N decided that, no, she wanted to be with Beomgyu instead of him.

She stayed silent, only looking up at Beomgyu who grinned understandingly.

“Yeah, okay,” Beomgyu laughed, making Y/N smile in relief. “So, you don’t like me anymore?”

“Oh, I do,” Y/N laughed. “You’re my best friend, Beomie—I’ll always like you,”

“But?” “Not as much as I used to,” Y/N snorted.

Beomgyu raised an eyebrow as Y/N fiddled with her fingers.

“There’s someone else.”

“Oh?”

“I, uh, realized I always liked him—I just never knew.” Y/N explained, groaning at Beomgyu’s teasing smirk. “Shut up, Choi.”

“I didn’t say anything!”

“I know you’re thinking it!”

Beomgyu laughed shaking his head as he leaned back on his hands.

“In the back of my mid, I kind of always knew.” Beomgyu hummed, making Y/N sigh.

Beomgyu turned to his best friend, dusting his robes.

“Do you want me to walk you back to the Gryffindor tower?”

“I think I’ll stay for a bit.”

Beomgyu nodded, smiling and kissing her on the cheek.

“Good luck,” he said.

“Thank you,” Y/N muttered, eyes trained up as her heart felt a little lighter.

There she sat, under the shine of the stars—her heart admitting the words her heart always knew.

Hueningkai stammered as Beomgyu dragged him to the Gryffindor tower, straight from the entrance of the Hufflepuff dorms.

“Beomgyu, wh—“

Hueningkai fussed, successfully shaking the boy off of his arm by the entrance to the Gryffindor towers.

“Kau, where the hell were you?” Yeonjun whined.

Soobin only tilted his head inquisitively as Taehyun seemed unbothered.

“I was—I was planning to come to the Great Hall when the ball started—“

“You had a date,” Beomgyu hissed. “Dude, really?”

Kai furrowed his eyebrows.

“But—“ Kai stammered. “I thought you and her—“

“No, Kai,” Beomgyu sighed, an exasperated smile on his face.

“Oh,”

“Hueningie?”

Kai jumped in surprise, heads turning to Y/N as she exited the Gryffindor tower with a soft smile.

Hueningkai melted on the spot as he saw the blue dress Y/N had picked on their trip to Hogsmeade when he mentioned he liked blue.

He stammered on the spot as Y/N walked over.

Yeonjun and Soobin looked on in amusement, wiping fake tears off of their faces as they muttered about how “they grow up so fast,”

Taehyun and Beomgyu looked on proudly, chattering amongst themselves.

“You look beautiful tonight,” Hueningkai started as he offered out his arm, scrunching his face. “I meant you look beautiful every night, but especially tonight—I—“

“Thanks, Kai,” Y/N smiled, looping her arm through his. “You look beautiful too.”

He only smiled.

A swirl of colors mixed on the dance floor.

Laughter and excitement filled the Great Hall.

By the buffet table, Yeonjun and Soobin fought over the last piece of loaved bread.

Taehyun and Beomgyu idly conversed in a nearby table.

Kai and Y/N awkwardly held hands, slow-dancing upon the insistence of Beomgyu and Taehyun. (Yeonjun and Soobin actually couldn’t be bothered because they were more concerned with the food table.)

Kai coughed softly, blushing a bright red as Y/N smiled in amusement.

“Are you feeling weird?” Y/N asked making Hueningkai shake his head.

“No, I’m okay,”

“You feel awkward?” Y/N laughed as Kai shook his head. “Come on, let’s go out,”

Kai breathed heavily as Y/N pulled him away, her eyes locking with Beomgyu who shot her a thumbs up.

Hueningkai burned a bright red as they exited the Great Hall and made their way to the Black Lake.

“What, are you drowning me today?” Kai teased as he sat by the shoreline.

Y/N snorted, tilting her head.

“Yeah, probably,” Y/N grinned, about to take a seat if it wasn’t for Hueningkai gasping.

“Wait, no—“

Hueningkai pulled off his dress robes and set it on the ground.

Y/N shot him a tiny smile and sat, arms wrapping around her knees.

“So,” Hueningkai said, pursing his lips as Y/N glanced up at the bright moon.

“Remember how we used to look up at the night sky when we were kids?” Y/N asked, making Kai laugh.

“Yeah,” Kai snorted. “I remember we used to say we’d run away with Beomgyu, Taehyun, Soobin and Yeonjun on broomsticks and live off of Chocolate Frogs and Licorice Wands,”

“Simpler times,” Y/N smiled. “That was before I had a crush on Beomgyu.”

At the mention of the older Slytherin, Hueningkai practically deflated on the spot.

He looked back up at the night sky, eyes trailing over at the moon.

“I think I’m like the stars,” Hueningkai said.

“Hm?”

“I’m always there, always shining and waiting for someone to see me—but I always get ignored for the moon,” Hueningkai explained, a penchant look on his face as Y/N turned to him. “but even if I am, I’ll stay there—waiting for that one shot to be seen, even if it’s the time I fall,”

Y/N didn’t reply, leaning her head on her knees as Kai continued to rant.

“I-I—“ Kai said, looking back down at the girl. “I’m a star just waiting for you to see me,”

Y/N smiled softly as Kai continued.

“Y/N, I like you,” Kai breathed heavily, almost as if relieved he spoke the words. “I’ve been holding this back for years and now it’s out. I like you.”

Y/N straightened up, smiling widely.

“Really?”

“Really, and it feels so light to say it—wow. I mean I know you like Beomgyu, and by all the means go for him, but I just really want to admit it and—“

Courage is one of the qualities encompassed by a Gryffindor.

It took great courage for Y/N to lean forward to plant a quick kiss on Hueningkai’s lips.

Kai stopped his rambling, eyes wide as he looked over at Y/N.

His first kiss.

Y/N pulled away, smiling shyly as she looked back up.

“Yeah, yeah,” She scoffed lightheartedly. “I like you, too.”

Hueningkai blinked, hand creeping up to touch his lips.

“You-You kissed me?”

“Shut up,” Y/N snorted, burning bright red in embarrassment. “It was my first kiss too, you know,”

Hueningkai’s smile slowly appeared, widening rapidly as he relaxed in his seat.

Y/N shifted, leaning over to rest her head on his shoulders.

“The stars look beautiful tonight—“ Y/N said. “Brighter than the moon, even.”

Hueningkai only smiled, turning his head to the side as he laid another soft kiss on her lips underneath the blanket of the brightest stars.

TXT Hogwarts AU

So this is my first time publicly sharing my writings and I'm really nervous and also kind of excited. Please bear with me, English isn't my first language however I do try to do my best in my works. Anywhos here's my first post I hope you guy enjoy!

Yeonjun

•was shunned his whole life due to his parents being deatheaters in the second wizarding war

•raised by his grandmother who he loves to pieces

•don't tell anyone but grandma choi actually raised him muggle style so he's very knowledgable when it comes to them

•his one and only friend is soobin, that is of course before he met the three other boys

•the sorting hat barely even touched his head before it announced "slytherin"

•worked his way up until he became what he is today

•his goal is to erase the stigma of slytherins being evil

•intimidates everyone with his sharp eyes and blank face but don't be fooled, he's as extra and wild as the others

•once dared himself to wrestle with the black lake's giant squid

•always aims to be the best at everything, probably to the point of overworking himself

•as a first year flying had come naturally to him and easily became his favourite subject but was soon replaced by defence against the dark arts

•the boy is a quick thinker and could disarm his opponent in a matter of seconds, though he is good at casting other spells he opts for a defensive style of duelling

•ever since he was young he dreamt of being an auror

•the team captain of slytherin's quidditch team, his swiftness and agility earned him the title "best chaser"

•dubbed as "slytherin's prince" his housemates respect and look up to him

•don't cross him.just don't.

•very cautious when it comes to picking his friends and is very protective of soobin because he's just too damn precious

•gets along with kai really well because theyre both crackheads and kai is too cute not to like

•isn't one to share his feelings but because of his friends he's getting more and more open

•his greatest fear is becoming evil and hurting his friends

•he's really just a tiny bean who loves his friends and would do anything for them

•coming from a very traditional pureblood family, he doesn't really understand muggle lifestyle

•a straight A student prefect and athlete, he's the epitome of model student

•doesn't like to break the rules but somehow always finds himself staying up with taehyun or getting dragged to the dark forest by kai

•takes away points by decimals just because he thinks its funny

•can get pretty scary when someone questions his authority

•"out of bed past curfew? 4.23 points from gryffindor" "is that even allowed??"

•he's a responsible prefect and shuts everyone up with one stern look

•number one on the school's boyfriend material list (because c'mon he's like perfect)

•a perfect gentleman who's ready to help with a dimpled smile on his face

•takes muggle studies because he likes muggles and wants to know about them more

•still doesn't know what the function of a rubber duck is

•can cook up a potion even without the help of a guide and can recognize a herb by it's texture alone

•his favourite subjects are potions and herbology

•probably because the two are kind of connected in a way

•literally has a journal where he writes down everything he's learned about muggles

•nearly cried when he received a toaster from taehyun as a gift because he's always wanted one for his bread

•wants to be a healer in the future

•his future career also helps because all his friends can't go a day without injuring themselves

•keeper soobin (you gets?because the boy is such a keeper?hehehehe)

•his tall stature and quick reflexes helps him block quaffles from the opposite team

•recognizes hueningkai as his number one cheerer and never fails to wink at him before the start of every game

•always makes sure taehyun gets enough sleep, beomgyu and kai stay out of trouble and keeps yeonjun from overworking himself

•they always make sure to bring him back little muggle trinkets after they come back from the holidays

•the boys are just really thankful for soobin existance and love him so much

•choi soobin is a lovable and amazing bunny (that's the tea sis)

•gets himself into pretty stupid situations just bc he's too damn heroic

•always stirs up trouble but somehow charms himself out of it

•he's like,really charming

•made mcgonagall blush that one time

•he's absolutely cunning,his ability to hide his true intentions behind an angelic smile scares the crap out of the boys

•just don't mess with his friends

•bc of this the sorting hat actually took longer to sort him than usual wondering whether it should put him in slytherin or gryffindor, he had almost been a hatstall but after a silent debate between the two beomgyu had chosen gryffindor bc they had and i quote 'pretty colours'

•had to be physically restrained by soobin and yeonjun after he tried to fight a student who had called taehyun a "mudblood"

•Charms and transfiguration are his areas of expertise

•favourite spell is "accio" and practically uses it for everything

•"accio yeonjun hyung's clothes "beomgyu!"

•"accio taehyun's love of his life" "bold of you to assume i have any I-" "accio taehyun's books" "you little shi-"

•takes muggle studies just for the hell of it and because it's easy

•gryffindor's seeker,this boy could spot a snitch from miles away

•has his own fanclub with members from all four houses

•yes that's how charming he is

•no one really knows how but beomgyu always manages to enter all three other houses' common rooms

•his favourite hang out place would probably be ravenclaw's common room

•annoying taehyun is this guy's favourite past time, he just finds it cute when the younger glares at him

•if he's not annoying taehyun he's probably off pulling pranks and causing trouble all around the castle

•is currently grooming kai to become a prankster like him, he just has to figure out a way to stop the boy from being so goddamn loud everytime they prank someone

•in general he's a chaotic mess but everyone still loves him

Taehyun

•once something catches his eye he makes it a goal to learn everything about it

•no one really knows what to expect with taehyun probably bc he was so quiet and introverted

•as he gets used to life in the magical world he starts to become more confident and bold

•"why do we still use quills when ballpens literally exists?''

•''are you serious?a letter?kai you have a phone use it''

•his wisdom and good advices remind people why he's in ravenclaw

•his two favourite subjects are transfiguration and history of magic

•transfigured soobin into a bunny once at kai's request (well probably just to shut him up)

•history nerd and draco malfoy enthusiast

•doesn't even bother to answer the riddles' properly

•"where do vanished objects go?" "somewhere other than where they were vanished from,duh."

•usually found in the common room late at night cramming homeworks he's been putting on hold bc he found something much more interesting to do

•legend says prefect soobin always stays up with him (no one knows if its true or not no one has ever tried to find out in fear of facing choi soobin's wrath if he finds them out of bed)

•an excellent beater, taehyun's one of the best in their team even at such a young age

•rumours are he's one of the candidates for next team captain

•is soobin's source of muggle knowledge, probably bc kai only teaches them memes and popular vines and beomgyu just cant be bothered with

•claims he loses braincells every time kai opens his mouth but deep down he loves the boy like his brother

•looks up to his yeonjun and soobin hyungs

• the boy literally dragged taehyun with him and introduced himself to nearly everyone during the train ride

•and i mean EVERY.SINGLE.TIME

•excels in care of magical creatures (probably bc every single creature falls in love with the boy on sight) and almost always accompanies hagrid to the dark forest

•let's be real ya'll the dark forest probably isn't so dark anymore with the amount of sunshine kai emits

•nearly gave soobin a heart attack when he had dragged the elder into the dark forest

•at the age of 13 the dark forest was just a forest to kai, "wild centaurs?bitch please i braid baby centaurs hair on saturdays"

•idolizes newt scamander and wants to be a magizoologist because he wants to change people's minds about magical creatures and show them how beautiful and precious they actually are

•'pet a dragon's belly' is listed number 1 in his bucket list

• 'ohmygod hueningkai don't you even dare try to rock that mandrake' 'but hyun its so cute!it looks like an ugly baby!'

•takes a liking for divination and unlike others actually appreciates and pays attention in class

•probably because of his close relationship with the forest's centaurs who also use divination in their day to day lives

•is a skilled flyer and was invited to try out for his house's quidditch team but turned it down

•he prefers to cheer for people rather than getting cheered on

•people don't really know who he cheers for most of the time bc he's like present in every game

•mysteriously gets louder and more energetic when ravenclaw plays most people think it's bc his bestfriend taehyun is playing but taehyun knows the truth

•no one can hate this guy,it’s physically impossible

•even the meanest kids don’t pick on him,he’s THAT lovable
