Name: Shy Guy (Pastry Chef)
Debut: Mario Kart Tour
I love Shy Guy :]
I love sweets and treats! I love baked goods! I even like to make them sometimes!
So a Shy Guy, wearing a chef hat, creator of pastries? This is a Kin Emergency over here!
Tumblr media
This is such a perfect character and appeals to me so much that I’m even willing to look past the fact that he’s French-coded!
Tumblr media
Cooking is one thing, baking is another, and pastry-making is an intensely delicate science! But we can clearly see that Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) is a master of the craft! Just churning out treats with reckless abandon! You know they’re good because good food is guaranteed to make a woman close her eyes and smile while putting her hand on her cheek. After every single bite! I can’t tell exactly what every pastry on display is, but those certain ones in the wobbly stack in Shy Guy’s right hand... could they be flans? How I hope so!
Tumblr media
Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) takes great care to ensure that no hairs or dandruff or scales or whatever covers a Shy Guy’s scalp will end up in your food. He is wearing three whole articles of clothing on his head! That’s so difficult to do without the hat falling off! However, the big ol’ eye holes of his mask do mean that Eyes could potentially fall in your pristine tarts. But with such a prestigious fellow as this, that would be an honor!
Tumblr media
The delight keeps on coming because Shy Guy (Pastry Chef)’s signature kart is the Carrot Cart! I love this so much! You know I love Carrot Aesthetic! A carrot is not what I would have chosen for a pastry chef (I would have chosen a rabbit, so good thing Nabbit shares this signature vehicle) but it can represent carrot cake, and of course that little frosting carrot they always put on top of it! I bet Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) is SO good at drawing a carrot out of frosting. It would look so much like a real carrot that you would bite into it expecting it to crunch and hurt your teeth. In a good way though.
Tumblr media
Our patissier pal is not the first Shy Guy chef we have seen in the Mario franchise, though he is the most lovingly crafted! In Mario Party 8, Shy Guy’s Perplex Express has chef Shy Guys in the train’s kitchen, who are simply regular Shy Guys with hats. They stand on crates to reach the counter, which is cute, but also sad, since this train was evidently made for humans and not Shy Guys... hopefully someday the hardworking crew will be able to make the kitchen more accessible! Also the heat vent can suck people onto the roof, and that’s pretty dangerous.
Tumblr media
I don’t think there is any chance of Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) being made playable in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I think he should appear as one of the Shy Guys in cars in Coconut Mall. He came because he heard they were doing Donuts!
Tumblr media
If you don’t feel worthy of playing as Shy Guy (Pastry Chef), that’s okay! It is important to be yourself. And with the Pastry Chef Mii Racing Suit, You, yes, You, can be his apprentice! This is one of the few racing suits not based on something ubiquitous from the Mario series, and I think that is wonderful, because it means they love Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) that much, or at least they love the concept of Pastry Chefs. I love both! Anyway, the chef hat of this outfit is a rigid helmet and that delights me.
Just as each driver in Tour has favored courses, so do Mii Racing Suits! That’s right, when you wear one of these, you are not yourself! What YOU want does not matter anymore, and you are at the mercy of your fashionable and practical outfit. Would you put on such a racing suit, knowing it would warp your mind, making you drawn hopelessly to the likes of Paris Promenade 2 R/T Version, even if you would not think much of the course otherwise?
Mii Racing Suits are scary! The helmets control your mind and zap your brain if you try to resist! The suits move your limbs for you! Have to go to the bathroom? Too bad! Your suit has other plans, you’re going to Donut Plains 2 and you’re going to like it! Have fun in the Mii Tour coming soon to Mario Kart Tour.

Hi Petri, so I was wondering (cause I know you have many aks) if you could do a Gally x fem! reader where she's with the rebels from death cure, and she's one of the people who find him almost dying in that room after the maze. She's super nice but can put up with his awful attitude, he hates being taken care of cause he feels remorse about what he did to his friends and she helps him overcome his self pity. And then in the end he sees the boys again and Frypan is excited cause Gally is with someone who can actually stand him and make him a "better" person. (Hope this was understandable, luv you)
This is the Gally content I was looking for.
Also, lu, I messaged you a while back when you sent me another request about TMR about a different Maze type. I don't think it was that important to the story but I just wanted to clear it up lmao and I don't think you saw it. So if you could get back to me that'd be great :))

PART 1 | PART 2
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: See above. Movie based fic.
WARNINGS: Inappropriate language, Gally nearly dying, Chuck's body, the aftermath of the Maze, Lawrence. WICKED being WCKD because movie.
Tumblr media
You weren't always one of Lawrence's men.
For anyone that wasn't immune, working for WCKD or lucky enough to find themselves in the Last City- life was a shitshow.
If you were even lucky enough to live, chances are you lost your parents to the Flare before you hit double digits. That's if you didn't catch it yourself. And no one cares about your sob-story either. You're just another poor bastard who has dealt with the same shit as everyone else.
Tough.
You lost your parents when you were about twelve, and got swept into smuggling serum from place to place. Or as it's known on the streets- Bliss.
Which is how you met Lawrence.
He became one of your regular buyers, and by the time you hit fifteen, you'd been swept into his growing group of radicals.
Lawrence likes you. You're kind but capable, and not afraid to draw blood need be. Which is why you're one of his main men- and you get to boss other people around.
Somehow, Lawrence got wind of WCKD facilities out in the Scorch, which, unfortunately for you, means trekking out there to check them out.
Luckily, you'd managed to get ahold of some old ranger trucks that you blatantly stole off of WCKD.
"Let's go, boys!" You hollar as you lean out of the side of the open front vehicle, holding onto the windscreen pole.
It's quite an unpopular opinion, but you actually quite like the Scorch. It's barren and massive, and empty.
Not one really comes out here and it's one of the few places you and your men can actually mess around a bit.
I mean, it's not like you're going to actually find anything in the Scorch, right? You accepted a long time ago that Lawrence is chasing rainbows and they're never going to let him into the Last City.
It's not like you don't have ways into the City. But Lawrence wants the entire population to live there, and he wants to shut down the walls for good. So, for now, you're stuck trying to find ways to do that.
"Uh, Boss?" The driver says as you stare off into the sand. "You seein' this?"
"Huh?" You turn.
Perpendicular to the way you're driving, you can just see the top of a massive stone structure from over the top of some of the dunes. "The hell?"
"Should we check it out?"
"Yeah, let's go." You put your fingers to your lips, sending out a high-pitched whistle. "Let's go!" You signal the other cars behind you, waving in the direction of the structure.
You drive over the sand, bouncing over the soft surface.
"Holy shit," you mumble, the building coming into view properly as you come over the dune.
It's unfathomably big and round. Looming stone walls that covers hundreds of metres of the Scorch. It has to be miles long as you approach.
"There!" You point. "There's an entrance!"
You grind to a halt, sand flickering everywhere as you jump out. Your automatic rifle is pulled up from the strap on your shoulders as you hold it, walking through the doors. Your men aren't far behind you as you enter the the building.
"What the fuck?" Someone behind you mutters.
In front of you is a destroyed laboratory. High tech computers and shattered glass litters the place, along with the corpses of several people dressed in white coats.
"What happened here?" You look around, lowering your gun and freezing when you find a body.
It's a kid. He's chubby and has curly brown hair. Can't be any older than thirteen. Blood stains his chest and his vacant stare is just another line on the list of horrors you've seen.
You crouch next to him. "What happened to you, buddy?"
You touch his face. Cold.
You sigh, moving your hand and closing his eyes. "Poor sod."
"Uh, Boss, we got another," you look up. One of your guys stands over another body. He's fallen on his side, a spear sticking straight through his chest and out the other side.
"Jesus," you stand up again, walking over.
The boy has black spider veins all over his body and his eyes are completely dark. You've never seen anything like it.
Looking around the lab, you spot large syringes full of a strange blue liquid. Walking over to the table where they are, you pick one up.
But you partially jump out of your skin when there's a sharp gasp from behind you, accompanied with a string of swear words from your colleagues.
The boy on the floor is alive and squirming.
"He's alive?" You ask, in some form of shock. "How is that even possible?"
No one responds as the boy starts to thrash, letting out a blood-curdling scream. It's almost like something is moving under his skin as you look at what's in your hand and then back at him.
Storming over, you slam the syringe into his arm.
Almost immediately, he stills again, his eyes and skin quickly returning to normal.
"What the hell? What did you just do?" You ignore the confusion from your men.
Pressing your fingers to the boy's throat, you feel a pulse and he seems to be breathing- somehow. He's unconscious again, though.
"Contact Lawrence," you instruct, "someone else help me get him up."
"What?"
"He needs a doctor."
"So, what? We're taking him with us?"
"If we save him- he might have information on what was going on here. We can always come back. Come on!"
It's a bit of a rush against time to get him back to base and the outskirts of the City. But he's still alive, somehow.
You have one of the best top surgeons on your side. He used to work in the City, but he's infected, so he was thrown out. So, now he's using the little time he has left to help you guys.
"You really think this guy is worth it?" You pace the common area, a couple of your close allies watching.
"Lawrence seems to think so."
"This is dumb. We should've just raided the place and let the bastard rot."
"Oi," you snap, "watch it. We're meant to be for the people, remember? That means everyone."
It's been days since you brought him in, and you're starting to think it's a dead end. But you couldn't just leave him there.
"Miss," one of the surgeon's assistants pops his head around the corner, "he's awake."
You exchange glances with the others before slipping away. Going down the halls, you reach the "medical" room. Which is basically just a bed and some stolen IV drips.
The boy sits on the bed, his head in his hands and a bloodied bandage around his chest.
"You got a name?" You ask. He's noticed your presence, but hasn't said anything, so you decide to speak.
Nothing.
"Hey," you continue, "you alright, man?"
"Where am I?" He asks eventually, his hands flopping into his lap. "Why am I alive?"
"Looks like it wasn't your time," you shrug. "Sorry."
"I should be dead. I hurt... I killed Chuck." His hands come to his head again. "I killed him. I hurt that kid. It should've been Thomas... I would've never... I didn't..."
"You talkin' about that kid in there?" You ask, casually putting your hands in your baggy pant pockets.
He finally looks at you. His eyes are bloodshot and he's pale. "You saw him?"
You pull your lips into a thin line, nodding. "You killed him?"
His jaw tenses, tears welling in his eyes. "I didn't mean to- I really didn't mean to. I-I was stung, I lost control and I shot the wrong person."
"Lost control?"
"The Grievers! I tried to escape the Maze and I got stung and I shot Chuck and Minho speared me. I should be dead! I deserve it."
"If you weren't in control of yourself, then you can't really blame yourself."
Maybe you should be freaking out more. He's just confessed to killing a child. But WCKD is capable of things beyond human possibility, so controlling someone against their will isn't exactly groundbreaking nowadays.
You've seen people do terrible things to survive. You've done terrible things to survive. This is the last place he'll be judged. This place is full of blood and ghosts of corpses- that's just how the world is now.
The guilt never really goes away, so you sympathise.
He stares at you, blankly. He sniffs. "Who are you?"
You walk up to him, holding your arm out for him to shake. "(Y/N). I'll ask you again; you got a name?"
"Gally," he slowly takes your hand, giving you a weak shake.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Gally, I just wish it were under better circumstances. You reckon you're up to answering some of my questions, or do you need some more time to recover?"
"Can you answer my question first?"
You sigh. "You're safe here." You say bluntly. "I dragged your ass out of that WCKD facility. So, if you wanna blame someone for your mortality, you can shout at me for it later. We're a group of rebels outside the City - we try to help people that WCKD doesn't. The Right Arm has been MIA for years, so we're the best you've got, I'm afraid."
Gally has some of his memories back. He remembers the Flare, WCKD and rumors of the Right Arm. He's missing pieces, but has enough to understand what you're talking about.
"So, are you willing to talk? You'd much rather deal with me than my Boss- trust me."
He nods, clearing his throat. "What do you wanna know?"
Gally is surprisingly cooperative, probably because he's on a lot of painkillers and has a lot of fresh trauma. He tells you about the Maze, his memory loss, his friends and the monsters he faced.
Lawrence agreed to let you deal with this, but you know he's going to want to speak to him.
"Experimenting on kids?" Lawrence scoffs, throwing down your notes about what Gally said on the desk in front of him and sighing. "That's a new low, even for WCKD."
"You're telling me."
"What about the boy? You think he'll be useful?"
You shrug. "I don't know. He's well built and has a lot of potential. Used to be leader of the Builders or some shit- could be useful if we need to make this place bigger."
"Can he shoot?"
You hesitate. "Yep."
"Hm."
"We protect people that need it, Lawrence- he needs it more than most. He's also probably immune and we can get Bliss out of him."
Lawrence hesitates. "Okay, he can stay- but don't let your hero complex get the better of you. He's the same as everyone else here."
"You got it, Captain."
And with that word of warning, Gally kind of ends up under your wing. You show him around, give him a cluster of pillows and blankets to use as a bed if he's lucky enough to find an empty space on the floor, and actually teach him how to shoot (properly).
Gally is standoffish and rude- something you come to learn fairly quickly. He looks down on people who are sick or weak, and whilst he seems to care a lot about things, he's bitter and angry.
He also doesn't appreciate being cared for or looked after. He doesn't think he deserves it and he hates being pitied. But, he has little choice and it takes a while for him to accept that he doesn't have much choice.
And he's not used to the way the Flare affects people.
"Gally, stop staring."
"Gally, don't say that."
"Gally, they don't know what shank means- you're gonna get beat up."
"Gally put that down; it's Lawrence's."
He's definitely a problem child.
From the sounds of the Glade; Gally is completely out of his depth. The Glade was serene and peaceful, run under Alby, who was firm but understanding and everyone had a common goal and kept things smooth. Your den isn't like that.
It's bloodthirsty and cutthroat. Anyone with a reputation has it for reasons that you don't want to know, and Lawrence isn't scared to put a bullet in the head of anyone who pisses him off.
So, when Gally has a meeting with Lawrence after a month, your heart is in your throat.
"So, Gally, how are you finding it here?" Lawrence leans on his desk. His skeletal appearance and weak state means he rarely ventures out amongst the crowds, so Gally is visibly uncomfortable.
When he doesn't respond, you nudge him, nodding to answer his question.
"It's been... fine." You inwardly cringe as Lawrence stands up.
"Fine? We house you, let my best mentor you, and all you call our hospitality... fine?"
Gally looks to you for advice. "No, uh, it's good. I really appreciate everything you've done for me."
"That's more like it."
"Why did you want to see him, Bo-"
"I'm not talking to you, am I?" Lawrence cuts your off, immediately making you regress into yourself.
Something about it makes Gally's jaw tense. You're one of the few people that has consistently looked out for him- and you're the only girl he's ever actually befriended. So, that combined has led to him developing a small crush on you.
So, watching him demean you like that makes him furious.
"Why am I here?" Gally asks, and Lawrence snaps to look at him. "What? You wanted to talk to me about something."
Lawrence scoffs, offering a toothy smile. "I want you to join the patrols and search parties with (Y/N)." He tosses him a mask from his desk. It's a gas mask with a screen sheild- something everything one is expected to wear to keep roxins out of the system. Though, you suspect the tinted glass is to hide Gally's identity. He is a WCKD subject, after all. You, however, just tend to wear the bottom half of the mask on jobs.
You need to see more than the others.
"You're muscle and immune; we need both. Does that work for the both of you?"
You exchange glances before speaking in unison. "Yes, Boss."
And just like that, Gally has become an official member of your team.
He struggles with crowd work. Storming through the crowds of infected that often surround the City is dangerous work. More for you than him, since the Flare is an actual threat to you. But it's necessary work.
You have to give out food and Bliss; often using the time to trade information from the locals that reside there.
He can become aggressive and shoves a lot of people out of the way, but he mellows under your gaze. He wants to do what you think is right, and be better because you saved him.
He owes you.
He prefers the trips to the Scorch. He, however, does not like it when you actually find a Maze. He'd normally wait outside.
And had he been put on anyone else's team, he'd be forced to join. But you don't make him. You need him as mentally stable as possible- revisiting trauma is not the way to do that.
For the next five-ish months, that's how it is.
Until things get considerably worse.
They shut down the City. To everyone.
No one, not just the infected, can enter.
The outskirts of the City turned into full-blown riots. You and your men are up to their necks in discourse. More people are joining the edge of the City as the people realise they really are fucked.
Gally, who has become an actual decent soldier and person under your pressure, seems distracted on this particular day.
You're doing your usual rounds as best as you can, sitting armed on the top of trucks as one of Lawrence's men eggs on the rebellion through speakers.
"This is a shit show," you mumble as Gally stares off into the crowd. You can't see his expression, but his body is tense and he pays no mind to what you just said. "Gally?" You nudge him.
"What?"
"I said this is a shit show."
"Yeah," he sounds completely disinterested, "it is."
He's acting weird, but you're too deep into a riot, and there are WCKD drones circling.
"I know them," Gally says.
"What?"
He nods towards a group in the crowd as they're struggling to slip through the people. "I was in the Glade with them."
You blink at him. "What? Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it's Thomas, Newt and Fry- I'd recognise them anywhere. We have to find them; they'll be dead out here." He turns, signalling some of the guys to follow him before he jumps off of the van.
"Wha- Gally!"
"Boss?" You turn to them, the men waiting your instructions.
You hesitate. "Do as he says- follow Gally's orders. I'll stay here."
They nod, also diving off the vehicle and vanishing into the crowd. You have to keep an eye on things here.
Which probably wasn't your best shout because a metallic groaning noise starts, and before you know it, missiles are being fired left and right at the crowds.
"Go! Go!" You scream, directing civilians, now also on the ground.
"Boss! We gotta go!"
"They're murdering innocent civilians!"
"We can't help them now! Come on!"
Running through the crowd, a sickening thought hits you. "Where's Gally? Hey, where's Gally?!"
"I don't know! We'll find him back at base!"
"Shit."
It's a mad rush back to camp, but you didn't expect to find what you do.
Gally is on the floor as you jump out of the van again, he's pinned to the floor by some dude you don't recognise as a blond boy tries to calm the situation.
"Oi!" You shout, jogging over and letting your mask fall around your face. "What the hell is going on here?!"
You men hold guns pointed at the boy. "Stand down! Now!" You grab the boy's jacket, yanking him up and away from Gally. "The fuck are you playing at? You tryna get shot?"
"It's fine," Gally groans as he sits up. "Kinda had that coming. Anyone else? Fry? Newt?"
"You know this guy?" An older gentleman asks, clearly lost.
"He was an old friend," (you're assuming) Frypan says.
"How?" Newt says. "How is this possible? We watched you die."
"No, you left me to die," Gally corrects. "And if we hadn't found you when we did, you'd be dead right now. What the hell are you doing here?"
"Minho," Newt simply says. "WCKD has him here. We're looking for a way in."
Gally looks at you, tilting his head slightly and pulling his lips into a thin line.
You sigh, knowing this means a lot to him. "We can help with that. Follow me."
"I'm not going anywhere with him," Thomas snaps.
"Suit yourself." Gally says.
"But we can get you through those walls," you add.
They all reluctantly start following as Gally briefly explains how he ended up here along with what your operation is.
He warns them about Lawrence, before taking them to talk to him.
"Hey," you grab his wrist, stopping him and he looks at you. "I'm gonna go check on our wounded, send a patrol car out to help those hurt at the scene."
"You're leaving?" His eyebrows furrow for a second. This'll be the first thing that Gally's done without you. He's never even spoken to Lawrence before without your reassuring presence.
Frypan looks at Newt, smirking slightly. They were close in the Glade, and it's obvious to Frypan that something has definitely changed in Gally. And he thinks that's to do with you.
"You seem to have things under control here; I have other men I need to worry about. I won't be long."
You turn to leave, but Gally stops you again. "Stay alive."
You grin at him. "I'll try my best. No promises, though."
You do what you say and return to the scene, helping everyone you can whilst Gally takes Thomas and Newt through the tunnels.
By the time you get back, you're exhausted and Gally is standing around a table with Brenda, Jorge and Frypan. Thomas and Newt have vanished.
You walk into the room, immediately gaining Gally's attention.
"Still kicking, then?"
"Told you I'd try my best," you put your hand on his shoulder as he looks over some scattered plans. "How've things been here? You got a plan?"
"Kinda. Thomas doesn't seem too happy with it, though."
"Bummer. Any other options?"
"Not really."
"He's gonna have to cope, then."
You slip away, moving into another room but shouting back. "I'm gonna get a drink, anyone want one?"
You get a couple of yes' and go on to provide.
"You never told us your girlfriend's name," Gally looks up at Frypan, who is sitting with his arms crossed, smirking.
Gally scoffs. "She's called (Y/N)- and she's not my girlfriend. She's my Boss."
"Ah, well, you always said you think you'd like powerful women." Gally glares at his friend, but struggles to repress the smile on his lips. "You've changed, shank."
"Is that a bad thing?"
"No," Frypan smiles genuinely.
You come back in with a few glasses, immediately making them change the conversation. "Where are your friends?"
"They went outside to talk," Gally answers as you give him a glass. "Thanks."
"So," you casually put your hands in your pockets, "what's the plan then?"
You did not expect the plan to be kidnap.
It's awkward and stressful watching Teresa cut open the boys' necks and pulling out a thin bit of wire.
You're sticking with Lawrence in his attempt to breach the walls and Gally is going with the Gladers. You dislike this plan, but you think Gally is more than capable.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" The group is splitting up and Brenda and Jorge are saying their goodbyes too.
"We need to do this," Gally sighs.
"For a guy that tried to kill you?"
"He had every right to try and kill me."
You sigh, leaning back on a pillar.
"You gonna tell me not to go? Give me the order to stay?"
He sounds almost hopeful. You don't know when you started prioritising Gally over the others. Maybe it was because he became your responsibility but over time your feelings of protection became romantic.
You don't want him to leave. You don't want to split up and let him go into the lion's den, but you need to do this. And so does he.
It's obvious this is a way of him repenting for what he's done.
You shake your head. "No, we gotta do this. You'll be fine, just stay in contact."
He seems almost disappointed. "Yes, Boss."
They group set up to leave, and you anxiously tap your foot, knowing you should be leaving and preparing yourself.
Fuck it.
"Gally! Wait!" You jog over to him as he sorts out his WCKD uniform, just about to leave.
He looks at you as you rush to him, throwing your arms around him. He stumbles backwards, his hand coming to the small of your back.
Pulling away, you look at him and he looks at you. And, impulsively, you kiss him. He freezes momentarily, before pulling you closer and kissing you back.
"Stay alive." You mumble as you part.
He scoffs, smiling. "I'll try my best."

Another Gally piece for you guys. This might be one of those that requires a part 2 because I have too much to get through to be doing too many long pieces and I've just finished a three part story lol.
Let me know if you'd want that.
I hope you enjoyed :))

hi tracy! hope you are doing well. may i ask how you first got started taking in cats and caring for them?
Tumblr media
For me - and for probably a lot of people who end up doing animal rescue of some sort - it goes a little something like this:
Injured/sick/lost/neglected animal shows up and you try to help.
You end up having to explain your behavior to neighbors, lest they draw other conclusions - like, why you are creeping around the back alley with a flashlight at 1am, who you are you talking to in high pitched voice underneath that porch, and why, logistically, you need to place a tuna trap behind their garden shed.
Neighbors come to know you as 'the animal person'
Now when they encounter an injured/sick/stray/neglected animal, they either bring it to you, or bring you to it. (Or, in some unfortunate cases, they start dumping their unwanted animals on you knowing you'll feel obliged do something about it.)
You start becoming a regular at the local shelters and vet offices, getting microchip scans on animals, scheduling low-cost spay/neuter appointments, putting your name on a list for TNR cat caretakers, fostering critters, trying to help fundraise for all of the overwhelming amounts of help that is needed…
And, with that, you have made connections with the local rescue community. What is that saying about the mafia? Once you're in, you're in.
You can, of course, take aim and throw yourself into the fray too, if that's why you're asking. If it is and you want to become involved, bless you in the absolutely sincerest sense of the phrase. Rescues need all the help they can get and more. Chances are there's a municipal shelter or a local non-profit near you who could use volunteers to come to the shelter facilities to help clean and to socialize with animals who are otherwise spending a lot of time in cages. You can also sign up to foster if you're equipped to do that. Often rescues are in need of people with reliable vehicles who can transport animals back and forth to vet appointments too. Donating items or your time to help with fundraisers is also helpful.
---------------------------------------------
There's a lot of sadness and heartbreak involved in all of this, but very deeply rewarding things happen too.
My long-time tripod foster, Dwight (pictured above), has just gone off to his forever home (with Newt, in fact!). He's a former feral who came to me with a terrible injury. It was a challenge getting him to settle in and trust me, but he has since revealed himself to be a big, purry snuggle baby.
Amidst the wreckage of the Great Tire Fire that has been the years 2020-2022, time with Dwight was, honestly, a much needed bright spot. It's cliche, but there is an aspect of animal rescue that tends to be a form of self-salvation too.

So when he sat on the bus that would take him to the top of the mountain, he didn’t think anything of the absolutely breathtaking woman sitting beside him. Until about halfway through the ride, he noticed her turn the brightness down on her phone out of the corner of his eye. Even with her doing so, he could distinctly see what app she was on. He knew that app far too well. It’s how he met his regular hookup back home. The simplest way to explain the app was basically like a dating app for people with sexual preferences that weren’t quite vanilla. He doesn’t say anything. He simply turns toward the window and takes in the view of the island outside.
Once the bus comes to a halt and the guide allows them out of the vehicle, Changmin takes it upon himself to explore what he can. The rest of the people are wandering around just like him. He stops at an old wooden fence and leans on it, facing out toward the stunning view of the island below. He’s so thankful that he chose to do this rather than do whatever the hell Jaehyun and San were up to yesterday. After a few moments, he finds himself lost in thought.
“It’s pretty,” a voice pulls him from his thoughts.
“Hmm?” he responds, turning his head to see that it’s the woman who sat next to him on the bus.
“The view, it’s pretty.” you smile.
“That it is, I’m Changmin.” he offers his hand to you.
You shake it and respond with your own name, “Your first time visiting here?”
“Yeah, yours?”
You shake your head, “My family would vacation here every summer. Now I just come for spring break.”
You lean on the fence just like him and look out at the unending sea in front of you. Changmin does too. However, his thoughts come back to bite him in the ass. He wants to ask you about the app. He wants to know about you. He’s never had that draw toward any other person he’s encountered. Especially someone who he’s learned to have common sexual interests with.
You let out a sigh that has a touch of a giggle in it. You look over at Changmin, who is trying to pretend to focus on the view, and smile again. Then, you drop your head forward to look at your hands. You feel Changmin look over at you, and that’s when you return your gaze to him.
“I know you have a question or two, at least on your mind. What’re you thinking about?”
“You said it’s your spring break, too.” you nod and tell him which university you attend, “I guess the world is pretty small after all. I go there too, dance major.”
“I’m a communications and linguistics major. Guess it makes sense why we never crossed paths.” you chuckle, “I know that’s not your only question, though. Tell me.”
“I saw the app you were on earlier on the bus.”
“Oh,” you respond shortly, feeling the heat of a blush invade your cheeks.
“We both know you aren’t going to find anything long-term there. Believe me. I’ve tried and feel like you have too.”
“Maybe it’s just a good distraction.” you try to deflect his correct assumption.
“Distraction? If you wanted a distraction, you wouldn’t be so fixated on finding someone with the same… interests. Would you like me to lay out an offer for you?” “Sure, shoot,” you respond, throwing caution to the wind.
“We both know we aren’t going to find anything serious or long-term on that damn app. Let me show you what I’m about, and you show me what you’re about. If we both agree then, since we go to the same uni, we’ll see about arranging something more. Deal?”
“Sounds like a deal to me,” you smirk.
The guide calls for the tour participants to return to the bus to trek down the mountain as if on cue. Changmin gives you a knowing look, then pushes off the fence and walks toward the bus. You don’t trail far behind; you’re hardly five steps behind him. Throughout the entire drive, Changmin keeps a hand on your thigh. He’s not doing a thing besides resting it there, he’s not even looking at you, but still, it has you squirming. There are a few times that the man beside you takes a glance at you. His gaze is warm; it has an undertone of authority, but you don’t feel uncomfortable. You try to focus on anything but his hand on you, but it doesn’t work too well. Your mind continually wanders to what you might get to do with Changmin once you get to his bungalow.
“You gonna get off the bus?” he teases.
“H-huh?” you ask.
“We’re back in the town. Do you still wanna-”
“Yes,” you respond slightly too quickly, “I mean, yeah, sounds cool.”
“Cute.” he chuckles slightly.
You think about arguing but know it’ll likely be bad for you in the long run. As you walk down the path back to the bungalows, Changmin takes it upon himself to smack your ass. It takes everything in you not to make a noise. Instead of letting that noise out, you freeze in your spot and let out a long sigh. You don’t even see his face, but you know he has a smirk written across his lips.
“Noted.” he says plainly.
“What’s noted?” you ask a slight bite to your tone.
He steps close enough to press his body against yours, “That you’re a pain slut.” he whispers in your ear.
You don’t respond. Changmin chuckles again and now walks beside you. The rest of the walk to his bungalow, he always has at least one hand on you. They aren’t even sexual. If anyone saw you, they would assume you’re just a lovey couple. Once the house was in sight, though, all bets were off. He practically drags you toward the house. You don’t know if his housemates are home, but you couldn’t be bothered to care about that right now. Changmin practically breaks the door off its hinges, and you see a large man nearly jump out of his skin and give the other man a death glare.
“Out.” Changmin practically growls.
“What?” the other scoffs, “Just cause you-”
“Unless you want to hear crying and begging, I’d suggest you beat it.”
The tall man sighs and walks toward the door, “Good luck.” he tells you, patting your shoulder gently.
Once the door is securely shut again, Changmin guides you past the stairs and down the hall. It’s the master suit he takes you to. He doesn’t even give you a moment to process the space before he sits you on the end of the bed. He grabs your chin and makes you look up at him. His eyes are dark now, darker than before. It sends a rush of lust through your body. He guides you to strip completely nude while he is still entirely clothed.
“Now, you’re going to behave and listen to every word I say. Understood?”
“Yes, understood.” “What was that?” he asks, adding the slightest pressure to his hold.
“Yes, sir, understood.”
“That’s better. Do you know the color system?” “Of course, it’s the one I always use.”
He steps away to search for something in his suitcase, “Tell me what each color means.” “I’m not stupid.” you scoff.
“Tell me so when I fuck you stupid, I can still check on you.”
Another rush goes through you, “Green for all good. Yellow for a break. Red for a hard stop.”
“Good girl.” he smiles at you, “How do you feel about restraints?”
“They’re good, sir. Why do you ask?”
“I want to bind your arms together, nothing too crazy.” he shrugs while holding up a belt.
He moves your hands behind your back and carefully and meticulously restricts your arms with the belt. After securing it, he slips two fingers between your wrists and the leather to ensure it’s not too tight. Again he doesn’t give you a moment to process. He flips you, so you’re lying across his lap. You feel two fingers run through your folds. The sensation makes you squirm and bite back a moan. His fingers glide up and down the backs of your thighs before landing a smack against your left ass cheek.
“As much as I’d love to treat you nicely, you did give me a bit of an attitude earlier. We can’t have that, can we?”
“No, sir.” you gasp.
“Ten per cheek. Count for me. If you’re good, I’ll reward you.”
He lands smack repeatedly on the skin. Massaging the skin gently between each set. You count just like he asks you to. By the sixth set of spankings, you feel tears well in your eyes. Changmin pauses for a moment and asks for you to look at him. His tone seems softer than what he had previously been using.
“You look so pretty when you’re crying for me.” he says with an endearing tone, “What’s your color.” “Green, sir.” you reply, sniffling slightly.
“Good girl. We’re halfway done.”
He continues his assault on your ass, and you continue to count for him. You’re so far gone in the pleasurable pain that you hardly process it when he moves his fingers back between your folds. He chuckles as you lean into the touch.
“So wet, and just from a few spankings. You really are a pain slut, huh?”
“Yes, sir. I love it.” you moan against his pant leg.
“We best take care of this pretty pussy then.”
He pushes two fingers into you and immediately sets them at a rough pace. You’re crying and moaning louder than you’ve ever known yourself to do in the past with anyone else. The wetness leaking out of you echoes through the room with each thrust of his fingers. An orgasm impends, and you try so hard to warn him, but it’s hard when you can hardly form a proper thought.
“Cum,” you cry out, “wanna cum.”
“Do you?” he asks with a condescending tone, “How do you ask?” “Sir, please,” you interrupt yourself with a moan, “please let me cum.” He pulls his fingers from you, and you whine at the lack of contact. “If you’re gonna cum, it’s going to be on my cock. Go lay down on your stomach. I’ll take care of you properly now.”
He removes the belt from around your wrists, allowing you to move properly. You’ve never moved so fast in your life. Before you know it, you feel Changmin’s bare chest against your back and his hard cock against your ass. You try to push back against him, but he holds your hips down with one of his hands.
“If you don’t behave yourself, I’ll tie you up again and leave you here all hot and bothered.”
“Sorry, sir, I’ll be good.” “Good. What’s your color?” “Green. Please fuck me, sir, please?”
He doesn’t respond. He pushes into you with a shaky breath. You moan into the pillows below you and reach around to hold onto his wrist. He fucks you hard and rough. You absolutely love it. Your ass burns from the spankings earlier, but it only adds to the pleasure of his hips meeting your ass with each thrust. Changmin whispers absolutely filthy nothings into your ear as he fucks you into next week. You have no idea where he’s been hiding, but there’s no way you’re ever fucking anyone else after this. He’s completely ruined you for any other hookups or relationships in the future.
“Listen to you moaning like a whore for me. Do you think people can hear us outside? You’re loud enough that it’s possible.” he teases.
“Sir, please, want more, want your cum in me. Please.” you gasp.
“Look at you, so pretty and crying again. I’ll fill you up, don’t worry. I’m close.”
You throw your head forward into the pillows hoping it might muffle your moans a little bit. Changmin has other thoughts, though. He braces one hand beside your waist, and the other comes to grip your hair, pulling your head up by his.
“Do not hide those pretty noises.” he growls, “I’m gonna fill this pussy with my cum, and you’re going to thank me.”
“Yes, sir.” you moan, fresh tears streaming down your cheeks.
When he buries himself entirely inside you, filling you with his cum, your orgasm comes soon after. He thrusts into you, helping you ride out your high. He showers you with praise as you start to come down from your highs. When he pulls out slowly, you whine. He hushes you, then picks you up and moves you into the bathroom. He cleans you both up before running a bath. Luckily, it’s big enough for both of you to sit in it. You rest against his chest silently. It’s comfortable. You can tell he’s comfortable too.
“You doing okay?” he asks softly.
You nod, “Yeah, thanks for taking care of me.”
“It’s the absolute least I could do. I’m not going to send you back to your own house on the edge of dropping. Did you want to rest for a bit here too? I don’t mind if you do.”
“Are you sure?” you ask, turning your head to look up at him.
“I’m sure. You can stay as long as you need. I’ll make sure the guys don’t bother you if they come back.”
“Thank you, Changmin.”
He kisses the top of your head, “Of course, whatever you need. I’m here.”

Some final EarthSpark kids book ideas.
Book idea 15: The Secret Origin of Dr. Mandroid or How I Learned Not To Worry and Loath the Machine! While the Constructicons and ArachniMechs rebuild Mandroid’s lab after yet another scheme gone belly up, Mandroid recalls why he went down this path. He initially was working to take down the Decepticons to protect his wife and two sons. However, a Decepticon attack and the ensuing Autobot response saw the disaster that cost Mandroid his arm, but also his wife and eldest son. His youngest survived, but is currently in rehab learning to walk again with special artificial limbs developed by Wheeljack and Ratchet. While his youngest, Ethan Meridian, holds no ill will to the Autobots and even looks up to Optimus Prime. Ethan isn’t fond of Megatron for obvious reasons, but at least seems to acknowledge the big buckethead is trying to turn over a new leaf and make things right. All the same Mandroid resents all Transformers for their hand in the loss of his family, and vows to protect his remaining son no matter the cost. The story is a loose reinterpretation of what happened to Mark Morgan, Jessica Morgan, and Gregory Swofford in the G1 cartoon, only Mandroid is trying to foolishly Roboticize himself to one up the Autobots instead of foolishly unleashing a Hate Plague to one up the Autobots.
Having finished ruminating, Dr. Mandroid has built a special ArachniMech for Devastator: Scorpulator.
Tumblr media
Capable of transformation, it forms a super weapon for Devastator to use to melt Autobots. Determined this will finally do the trick, he sends out Robo Smashed Buzzsaw and Robo Smashed WingThing to draw out the Autobots. Taking the bait, Optimus, Elita and the Terrans arrive to see what’s going on only to be surprise attacked by the Constructicons who quickly merge to form Devastator and equip Scorpulator. The attack goes well in Mandroid’s favor until he realizes the fight is escalating towards the hospital where Ethan is recovering in. Inevitably Devastator and Scorpulator blasts a chunk of the building when attempting to fire back at Optimus. People within the blast range were hurt and killed, but Ethan, among others, was thankfully safe thanks to the Terrans protecting as many as they could. Outraged at his own foolishness at nearly hurting his own son, Mandroid quickly rationalizes that it was the AUTOBOTS who slipped up and nearly hurt Ethan again, not him, and so orders Devastator to resume attacking, albeit farther away from that particular hospital. Elita manages to disable and destroy Scorpulator, while Optimus manages to truck tackle Devastator in the face, forcing him back into his component Constructicons who drive off and retreat. It is here Mandroid becomes more twisted and consumed by his hatred of Transformers despite the near death of Ethan being HIS fault. Nevertheless, extreme measures will be taken…
Book idea 16: GHOST Autobot rescue response Inferno and his crew have attracted the attention of Mandroid. Inferno’s crew helped rebuild Ethan’s hospital with Ratchet and Medix tending to wounded. Inferno is a popular guy among the Earth populace, loved by Autobot supportive GHOST agents: he’s a regular Boy Scout, modest, likable and eager to help. Mandroid decides to Robo Smash Inferno as a means to disrupt public relations.
Tumblr media
My idea was ES Inferno is a mix of his Aligned design above and RiD01 Optimus below, using that Optimus’ vehicle mode too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fooled by a distress call by Buzzsaw and ArachniMechs, Mandroid corners Inferno with his Arachni-Smasher, and reprograms the poor guy.
Tumblr media
Later Inferno returns to the Autobots, a plant by Mandroid, and everything seems to be going fine at first, though Hashtag and Nightshade seem to notice something off…
At another attempt at a ceremony to honor the GHOST-Autobot relations is held, and Inferno is the guest of honor, due to his dutiful work behind the scenes from past adventures. Mandroid, nearby with Buzzsaw and the Arachni-Smasher, orders Inferno to turn up the heat. Inferno starts rampaging to the shock of everyone, but confirming Hashtag and Nightshade’s suspicions when Inferno treated them harshly earlier. They manage to appeal to his true Autobot programming within during the fight, though the Smasher’s programming keeps trying to override it. Taking notice of Mandroid, Inferno, in his stupor, transforms and drives off after him. Mandroid manages to escape riding on Buzzsaw, but the Arachni-Smasher wasn’t so lucky, getting set ablaze and then run over by Inferno for good measure. The overload to his system causes Inferno to go into stasis lock, and while the day was saved, it’s on a bittersweet note thanks to mixed emotions from the crowd though the Maltos and Ethan, the later having watched what was happening in his room, still believe in the Autobots. Though Ethan does notice in footage what he thinks was his dad flying on a Decepticon, and starts to put the pieces together…
Book idea 17: Twitch, Nightshade, Robbie and Mo are enjoying some beach time, but as usual trouble is afoot, as Arachnimechs are in the area. The kids meet up with Sea Spray and his partner GHOST Agent Alana Tlalakan, who were investigating underwater ruins in the area.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The visual gag I had is Sea Spray is based on his movie toy body, but has his G1 head. When Mo asks why he looks different in the comic, he hand waves it away as artistic liberties. Alana meanwhile is pretty much her G1 self only as an Earth woman dressed for oceanic research.)
It’s VERY heavily implied Sea Spray and Alana are romantically involved, and that Alana and Croft have a mutual dislike of each other. The only reason Alana is still part of GHOST is because she’s great at her job (and she refuses to leave Sea Spray despite knowing Optimus would look out for him). Alana keeps the Terrans a secret, and takes a shine to Twitch and her enthusiasm to learn in particular. It appears special aquatic moded Arachnimechs and Skullcruncher were spotted in the area, with Sea Spray, Alana and the kids discovering them heading into the Black Pyramid, a mysterious structure that was discovered when the Transformers originally arrived on Earth. The Cyber Sleeves react to the eerie energy emitted from the structure, concluding it shares a connection to Quintus Prime.
Tumblr media
While Nightshade and Twitch handle Buzzsaw and Nova Storm’s aerial defense, Sea Spray and the others go inside the under water Pyramid to uncover and protect its Prime related secrets from Mandroid!
Book idea 18: Hashtag has been wondering if other Transformers are genuinely still out there, as morale among the other Autobots has been low lately for existential reasons. Periodically she’s been sending a frequency into space to see if anyone picks up. One day, she gets an answer from a Cartharsian and the two quickly bond and become online friends.
Tumblr media
This other robot is from the Omnicon Flotilla trading post near Jupiter. The Cartharsian has been studying super robotic life forms like herself, the Zoids of Zoidstar and Zi, and the Robotix of Skalor, but it’s the first time she’s personally encountered a Cybertronian. Naturally the concept of Transforming comes up, as Hashtag wants to meet and suggests her friend can just Transform into a ship and fly on over, only for the Catharsian to sheepishly admit she can’t Transform though she would like to experience it one day. Her ship meanwhile is in the shop but the Catharsian swears she’ll find a means to come to Earth…! And she does… in a Velgroxian cruiser with hangry Velgroxians…
Tumblr media
The Catharsian didn’t think it through, and helps Hashtag prevent Witwicky from becoming an all you can eat buffet, as well as address what’s become of the other Transformers out in space.
Book idea 19: More Transformers comics have been produced but the stories are less than flattering lately to Autobots and Decepticons alike, even the Terrans find them off despite being more open minded to them. Bumblebee had apparently always hated the comics because he wasn’t used a lot, and the artists either drew him too fat or gave him the wrong head. Alex and Bumblebee visit the local comic con, only for Bumblebee to confront the comic book’s current author, Melody Keen in the parking lot while Alex was inside geeking out.
Tumblr media
Melody isn’t too dissimilar from Alex, sharing the same enthusiasm for Transformers and Bumblebee like him. When Bee asks things like why he’s being romantically paired with Decepticon Steeljaw, why Star Saber is being such a creep, and who the slag characters like Robot Master, Sentius Magnus and Malus are, Melody apologizes, saying she’d much rather be writing stories about the Autobots’ and GHOSTS’ heroics, but her publisher, Donny Finkleberg, insists these are the kinds of stories people want nowadays. As Alex and the kids are busy with geekdom, Bee and Melody sneak away to the Witwicky publishing company to talk to Finkleberg. Finkleberg turns out to be working for Mandroid, and isn’t fond of Transformers either, and is more than happy to tarnish their image AND get into character doing so. Unleashing Robo Smashed Buzzsaw and Robo Smashes Enemy in the old cassette player in his office and donning on a transforming Arachnimech exo suit akin to this Action Master toy below, Finkleberg becomes the Robot Master for real.
Tumblr media
Defending Melody, Bee defeats Finkleberg and he’s arrested, with Melody becoming inspired by the event to write new stories that sell well… though Bee is still shipped with Steeljaw much to his chagrin because it was a popular ship a sheepish Melody admits…
Book finale: A three parter that addresses the connections between Quintus Prime, the Black Pyramid, Fortress Maximus, Ethan and Mandroid. Ethan gains his own Cyber Sleeve, and becomes bonded to Cerebros, via the Emissary, the true form of the Black Pyramid. Mandroid manipulates his son into using Fortress Maximus to attack the Decepticons (actually the Autobots and Terrans), with Devastator as back up. The day is saved thanks to Ethan’s unwavering belief in the heroism of the Autobots and the belief they can live in peace, but Ethan is also shamed at his actions, and opts to take Fortress Maximus into space to prevent him from being abused by others. Ethan and Cerebros park it on the dark side of the moon, and with the Carthusian, Nightshade, Tarantulas and the restored Constructicons’ help, eke out a little secret moon base that other book exclusive and potential toy exclusive Autobots can reside in, along with human allies like Sam. The Tyrest Vault has been relocated inside Fortress Maximus, with Ethan under Autobot protection per Optimus Prime’s orders. Mandroid meanwhile, views his son as dead to him, and laments his entire family is gone thanks to the Autobots, and vows to take extreme measures to eradicate all Energon based life on this planet, the book ending with he and his Arachnimechs building and experimenting on a prototype of his Energon doomsday machine from the cartoon.

I think simply a character study is a fic that kinda challenges/explores a characters development? Obviously most fics have the characters thoughts in it but the difference between a regular fic about Kagiura and a character study I think would have Kagiura be more introspective (think of how Kagiura&hirano are in chapter one, versus some of their most domestic chapters where things go “unsaid”) I think ppl also use the tag as an excuse to get more nitty gritty about that characters flaws as well as using metaphors/some kind of external situation to characterize that character, like if two characters were feuding over what “justice” means, then it could have them be involved in a low stakes conflict which they implicitly represent their side of that argument but they still end up talking about the conflict without talking about it if that makes sense? It’s basically like “the story is a curtain over the actual story” is the way I think about it
ohh this is a really interesting explanation! first off, anon, thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough response! and brave of you considering how untimely i am about answering asks LOL.
"the story is a curtain over the actual story" does make a bit of sense to me! I think the issue I keep running into is like. this is... kind of how i write most (if not all) of my fics nowadays? take kagiura and hirano for example. if I write a fic and I'm like "hm. this fic is about kagiura & hirano on a valentines day date" the reason I'd be writing that fic would be because I would think to myself "oh i want to explore how hirano and kagiura deal with their relationship when the idea of romance is explicit, because I think hirano is actually fine being romantic, but shies away at the idea of having it be labelled as romance. so this fic would explore that." and so like.... is that a character study? hirano's not doing any introspection about himself because he's oblivious, but the point of the fic is to demonstrate / highlight this aspect of a character. but that's also just how i go into most of the fics I write. its like, "thing happens to character, and i use it to explore this aspect of a character"
I guess if I compare it to stuff I was writing in like, i dunno, 2017 or something, I could find things where it wouldnt count as a character study, like... i guess "kagiura and hirano are in this fantasy au and they are trying to find this rare dragon!" i suppose that's not really a characte study bc while there would be emotional tensions and stuff the plot is kind of more than just a vehicle for their introspection...?
but I think I end up feeling uncomfortable because it's like. well if that's the definition of a character study. boy do i have a lot of things to tag as one. which I feel personally weird about i guess. I think it's just a matter of figuring out where to draw the line, and that "line" is very blurry for me. but anyways, since it's a tag that I don't believe people will run towards or run away from, I'll live with not quite feeling secure whenever I decide to tag stuff. and for all the hand-wringing i just did here, I do think this clarifies the idea a bit more! so thank you!

kinda thinking about stuff based on a sort of weird ask an artist I follow got
The ask was basically a “how come I can’t make a fandom around this new story you did” bc the artist is selling a sort of abstraction of their own experiences as a comic using what they enjoy
don’t think I gotta explain how rude that actually is, and I’m not writing this as a “oh I’m so much better” type thought
But having been on tumblr I had interacted within fandoms, but I don’t really recall any of them, it was mainly ask blogs, and I even created a few short lived ones bc it just wasn’t interesting for me (and one case where the only other person who knew about the obscure anime went and drew cp of one of the main characters so? I was gone. Can’t enjoy that anymore, really wish I could. But I have that image burned in my mind and when I confronted them they refused by the “technically an adult” excuse even though this was a character shown at different ages, weird how they wouldn’t use the adult version but they didn’t like me saying that.)
The only real “fandom” I’ve ever actually been concretely into is Pokémon, but after I grew up more I didn’t make original characters who were Pokémon, and while I tried to rp I didn’t understand how it worked, so I mostly made up stories for myself that were just things I wanted, where Pokémon was the vehicle and medium
I enjoy creating aus for things I like if it works? But I wouldn’t say I’m a fandom person. The way tumblr(the culture of a portion of the site) looks at fandom has always been strange to me, even as I hyperfixate. I kind of thought something was wrong with me…? Like was I consuming media wrong? I don’t ship often, or think too far into headcanons, I mainly take it apart and see what info is in the media. I may draw conclusions but often this is done by myself
Often I’ll sort of enjoy something, maybe even love it, have a phase and then move on- if I talk about it w others it’s via analyzing it or just being excited about it, seeking out fanart… (blocking ppl who are Annoying or doing a They Would Not Fucking Say That or a weird version of the character that is bastardized)
If I put it in statistical terms it’s like I interpolate data (information) instead of extrapolate… like I go between points of info instead of going too far outside of the story, maybe because I’ve only ever seen one exploration of the concept that actually worked- one random disco elysium fic that essentially made its own new case for Kim and harry. Some things were a lil clumsy, but they actually were very careful w balancing characterization, themes, and ideas to create something new that wasn’t alienating. It was nice to finally understand how people talk about good fanfics. But uh, I avoided fanfic bc they usually alienated me due to inconsistencies or focused on shipping or a specific idea that didn’t really mesh
Idk, I have stories I hold dear to me, but fandom ocs usually either sorta die off or are adapted to a regular oc. I can make the number of ships I enjoy on one hand… I just like stories

I decided to start actually doing something with this Remnant City AU idea, and as such, I've decided to do a little bit of an overhaul of this AU, because I always felt like it was missing something, but I think I've figured out how to fix it now.
Normally when I draw Remnant City for this AU, I make a regular little city, but lately I've been thinking of kicking it up a notch, inspired by my Stuck in Atlas AU ideas. It's a little difficult to explain, but basically Remnant City is made of huge skyscrapers that protrude from the ground that you barely ever see. Since the city was built in Grimm territory, the cross kingdom settlers eventually chose to build up to escape the monsters like the floating city of Atlas. Most of the roads are built as large ramps going from building to building and all vehicle travel is air travel. Basically just me wanting to start going all out with this sci-fi fantasy thing.
And, since the City started being built in a way that is meant to directly deter the Grimm, the Grimm too have evolved to survive their environment. Instead of being brainless monsters, the Grimm sneak inside people's homes, trying to either drain the will to live from their lives, or eat them. Depends on the Grimm's age really. I'm hoping to try my hand at making more monstrous boogymen than the animalistic Grimm that exist in the show. And the best part is I can now make the Grimm better fit into the themes of my AU's story!

Chapter 5
Bewildered, I ripped the entire envelope apart and opened the letter:
Dear Miss Casilarghi,
You are hereby personally invited to come to Hades Inc. headquarters tomorrow at noon for a meeting with dr. Ziggurat.
This invitation also extends to a pick up at 11:30AM and return to your hotel with our chauffeur, a guided tour of the entire Hades complex and a complimentary lunch. We are looking forward to your arrival.
Best regards,
Dr. Ziggurat
CEO of Hades Inc. and Hades Academy
“Oh like fuck I will” I threw the letter into the trash: “I wasn’t even asked, they just let me know I am supposed to come! Hah, ridiculous” slowly sitting down on the bed again and running my hands through my hair, my thoughts continued: “Hades…” could it have anything to do with Kerbecs? With Starbreaker? A quick Google search later, I learned that Starbreaker is managed by this dr. Ziggurat, and that this academy is where they train their bladers. I also came across many articles about how Starbreaker members are the only three members of the Academy that were ever publicly acknowledged as graduates of the program. Apparently, many people apply and get accepted, but the majority get sent home eventually. One article even said all accepted candidates of the program need to sign iron-clad NDAs, but this was from a blog so I took it with a grain of salt. I was in a conflicted position: on one hand, I didn’t want to waste my time, which was meant to be dedicated to reconciling with Julian, on the guy who managed those lunatics from Starbreaker, but I also couldn’t help but wonder what he wants to talk about with me? This was all very suspicious, yet thought provoking. Drawing myself a warm bath to rest in, I decided to indulge dr. Ziggurat and see what he wants. After all, if I will want to leave I can. After this, I will get in contact with Julian and see if he recovered enough to speak with me.
For the meeting, I decided not to dress too formally. Even though I decided to indulge dr. Ziggurat with this meeting, I don’t plan on honouring him or his organisation by wearing my nice clothes. Therefore, I settled on a pair of ankle-length straight white jeans, and a black viscose tank top with a square neckline and thick straps, accessorised with a regular black shoulder bag and white sneakers. At 11:30 sharp, the chauffeur was in front of the hotel, holding the rear door of a big, black jeep open for me. The driver himself was dressed all in black, and was wearing black leather gloves and sunglasses. He greeted me with a polite, noticably trained smile as I settled into the vehicle. The seats were comfortable and soft, but the tainted side windows made me feel uneasy. The drive itself was not long, but it occurred to me that the reason why they sent a driver in the first place was because they want absolute control over who comes in, and who goes out. The Hades complex was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but dust and empty land. A circle of tall buildings built of sun-reflecting glass surfaces, which gave the city a kind of glow from a distance, surrounded a single skyscraper. Upon entering the city, I noticed that there was no one in the streets, maybe an odd man here and there. The driver pulled up in front of the tallest skyscraper, and another suited man opened the door for me.
“Welcome to Hades Inc.” A short, blonde woman greeted me with a neutral but pleasant voice. She accompanied me to the elevator, where she placed one of the highest floors.
“How come there is no one in the streets?”
She smiled mildly at me: “people are working! This is a company more than anything. Besides, this time of the day it gets too warm, and the solar panels work better if there are no disturbances.”
“But where are the employees’ cars then?”
“There are several levels of underground facilities in this complex, the first one featuring a garage” she spoke just a bit more lively than Siri or Alexa, but in a very similar manner. When the door opened, there was another frosted glass wall in front of us, the door of which required a finger print for enterance. Apparently, the glass wall was sound-proof, because when she let me in I could hear two men discussing something:
“Sir, your 12PM appointment is here.” the woman let me in and closed the door softly behind me.
Dr. Ziggurat sat straight across from me, seated behind a minimalistic black desk, with two chairs in front of it, and surrounded by light gray walls and carpet. There was a lot of natural light coming into the room through floor-to-ceiling windows, yet the room was at a comfortamble temperature.
Dr. Ziggurat got up from his seat, and walked over with a grin. When he stood up, I noticed he was much taller and skinnier than I expected. He extended his hand: “Camila, so nice of you to come!” He showed me to one of the seats in front of him. On the left side of the room was a two-seat black leather sofa supported by a silver metal rod, and a man with a short beard and thin glasses sat there.
“I am dr. Ziggurat, the owner of Hades Inc., and this is my colleague, dr. Carlisle. If it is not a problem, he would like to stay for this meeting.”
“You have a lovely complex, dr. Ziggurat” I employed a bit of charm my mother taught me: “I am really impressed by the design and upkeep of the entire facility.”
“We do try our best” Ziggurat smiled, before leaning back and looking at his tablet: “So Camila, I see here you speak 4 languages?”
I was just about to engage in this small talk, when I decided my time was more valuable: “Why am I here, dr. Ziggurat?”
He smiled again: “Straight to the point. Very well. Are you aware that I am the managing figure of the US representative team in this Beyblade championship?”
“Until now, I wasn’t” I lied, but I was not going to give him the satisfaction of admitting I Googled Hades Inc. last night.
“How did you like the battle yesterday, especially as a supporter of the European team?” He grinned and looked at me directly over his orange-tinted glasses.
“Doctor, am I really here to talk about that? Besides, I didn’t even watch it.” I blurted out, I don’t even know why.
“Now now, lying is not very ladylike. I’m sure you know that” He fixed his glasses: “Besides, we are well aware of your affiliation with Julian Konzern, and your recent… how shall I put it… change in this affiliation?” I stared at him, I did not know what to say. Yes, I was frequently photographed with him and his family, so I wasn’t unfamiliar to the occasional photo in the newspaper, or a mention in a gossip column, but this guy seemed to have more information on me than I would be comfortable giving if he directly asked me.
“We think you were not treated fairly by Julian, or Excalibur.” He lowered his tone a bit: “and after seeing your passionate support for the team regardless of the severed relationship, we could not help but want this extraordinairy woman for ourselves.”
“Excuse me for being so direct, but why are you interested in my personal life and disrespecting my privacy?”
“Please forgive me. I am a scientist, I’m not so good with words.” He explained, but I highly doubted that statement: “What I meant to say is; we think Julian and Excaibur treated you unfairly on a personal matter just as much as a professional one. You abandoned further studies and pursuits after graduation in order to support Julian, and were not compensated for the years of devoted service in any way. How is that fair?”
“I loved- I love him.”
“Yes, but do you see in what kind of a position he put you in? And left you in?” Ziggurat continued: “not to mention your family.”
In order to not come across as outraged, which I was, I took a moment of silence before I asked once more in a soft tone: “Doctor, why am I here?”
He smiled, this time a genuine one I think: “We would like to help you and your family by offering you a position at Hades Inc. with a generous salary. You would be working closely with the members of Starbreaker at a salary of your choice.”
I was absolutely baffled: “What?”
“We know you’re a supporter of the European team, but we hoped you might give our generous offer a thought.”
I thought about it, but how does any of this make sense? Who am I benefitting here? I could literally be ripping them off for vast sums of money? For what?
“And what would be the nature of my employment?”
“What an eloquent young lady” Ziggurat purred: “This is exactly what the boys need. We would like to hire you as… an assistant, shall we say. You would be living and working in the Starbreaker wing in order to bring a softer touch, and more team building among the members.”
Then the other doctor spoke up: “Their schedules are very densely organised, so we considered adding a feminine touch might help the boys feel more calm by bringing a more realistic environment to them. More balanced.”
“Balanced?” I asked, and I still wasn’t sure what my job would be exactly.
Ziggurat picked up this time: “We’ve seen your demeanour by Julian’s side, and we believe you would enhance our boys’ performance by providing them with a friendly, emotional support. Plus, the program of the Academy does not yet feature girls, so having a female presence might remind them of previous education, or of home.”
“And you would pay me whatever I asked to be a friend to the boys from Starbreaker?”
Carlisle cleared his throat: “by no means are we suggesting a particular kind of relationship, we would financially support your natural development of a relationship with the members of Starbreaker as a means of helping them reach their maximum potential.”
I accidentally snorted: “wait, you think I’d like to hang out with Jack and Damian after what they did to my friends yesterday?”
Both doctors chuckled: “Ah yes, Damian loves to take things too far to entertain the audience. And Jack is… simply extravagant.” Ziggurat explained, but I was not convinced at all. Enteratining the audience or being dramatic is completely different from torture and ridicule.
“I am sorry gentlemen but as of this moment I am not sure about this offer.”
There was a brief pause, before Ziggurat spoke up again: “Camila, you are a smart girl. You went to a prestigious school, and while all of your peers followed their dreams and potential, you were halted by your family’s lack of funds, yes, but primarily by a boy who asked you to drop everything to be by his side, only to leave you to fight your battle alone once things got too difficult for him to manage.”
“He never asked me.” I defended myself
“Not directly, no” Ziggurat left a moment of silence pass: “Consider our offer until this time tomorrow, and if you decide to join us, send a message to this contact.” He passed a card across the table, and leaned back in his chair: “Would you like a tour of the complex? Something to eat?”
Darting s look at the clock on the desk, I’ve noticed somehow an hour and a half passed, and I did not want to be here any longer: “Actually, I am still quite tired from yesterday. I would like to go home.”
After saying goodbye to both doctors, and promising to Ziggurat I would carefully consider his offer upon leaving the room, the door closed behind me cutting me off from the conversation the two doctors were about to have:
“She is very interesting” Carlisle massaged his temples: “not even typically pretty, she really has that subtle beauty.”
“Yes, she is very European” Ziggurat said, perhaps even sarcastically: “but she is exactly who we need in order to get what we want on all sides, and from what the investigators found her family is… quite desperate” He chuckled at this last part.
Carlisle looked at his colleague: “Do you think your plan is going to work?”
“You’re the psychiatrist, dear friend.” Ziggurat poured a glass of whiskey, and handed it to Carlisle: “Besides, it’s all women are good for isn’t it?”

i will draw your ocs for free
yeah, you read that right! that's what i do on this blog: draw people's ocs. just send me an ask with your oc and ill draw them!
well, actually, it's a bit more complicated than that... read below to get the full details!
about / information
you've probably already gotten the gist of what this blog is about, but here's some specifics for you.
information:
on this blog, i draw people's ocs that they send to me through the ask box, with the aim of giving oc artists the dopamine rush of receiving art of their beloved children!
i post all drawings i make on here and tag the creator of the oc
all drawings will be fully rendered unless specified (please tell me if you want the drawing to be flatcolor / sketched!)
everyone who submits an ask will have their oc drawn as long as the request abides by the rules below!!
types of drawings i offer:
icon / headshot
portrait / bust
halfbody
thigh-up
fullbody
chibi fullbody
sketch page
if you do not specify which type you would like, i will draw whichever i feel like! also, if you would like a sketch page, please specify how many drawings you would like on it! (upper limit for regular style character drawings is 4, upper limit for chibis is 3)
you may use any of the art i make of your ocs (with credit):
as an icon / header on any social media
as a reference of your character
for any personal use reasons (phone wallpaper, print it out and hang it in your room, post on social media, etc)
you may not use any of the art i make for commercial purposes!!
i will not show any examples as i am using this account as a way to experiment with my style and technique, and many of the drawings will most likely not look exactly like anything i show as an example. so you'll just have to trust me! (once i start posting art to this account you can use those as examples!)
rules for submission
obviously with offers like these come some ground rules, so let's go over them now!
to be eligible to submit a character, you must:
follow this blog!
reblog this post!
in your submission, you must include:
a fully colored reference of your character
the name of your oc and their pronouns
some things you can also do, but don't have to:
include how far down you'd like your character to be drawn (headshot, halfbody, fullbody, etc)
include a pose or expression you'd like your oc to have
submit multiple characters at a time (please specify if you'd like them to be drawn together or not; if so, include their relationship, height difference, and how you'd like them to be interacting)
ask for multiple drawings of the same character (they will be drawn and posted together)
include a background description if you want one
other guidelines and things to abide by:
i only draw humans/humanoids and flat-faced furries/anthros
i can draw all genders, body types, and skin colors
i can draw complex designs and backgrounds
im iffy on vehicles and complex machinery
i will not draw nsfw or discriminatory art
i will draw at most 5 characters in one image
there's no limit to the amount of submissions you can send / drawings you can request at a time
i will not draw canon characters / characters from media, this is specifically an oc art account for a reason! the point is to make oc artists happy by drawing their babies :) this does not apply to creatives who are making a piece of media with their characters (ex. webtoon/comic artists) feel free to submit!
the one behind the screen
about the moderator of this blog!
hello! i'm the perpetrator of this ordeal, and the one making all of the art. my name isn't very important, so you can just call me origin or ori if you'd like! i use he/they pronouns, please respect that. im a queer minor who likes to design characters and draw! i'm an avid oc haver and artist myself, and i know how great it feels to have your character drawn by someone else. so i started this blog to spread around some of that joy to other oc artists on tumblr! i hope you all enjoy the art that i make!
final notes
wow, you made it to the end of this post! thanks for sticking around and reading everything, i know that was a lot. here's some final notes:
even if you don't submit a character to be drawn, i encourage you to reblog this post anyway. i want this blog to reach as many oc artists as possible so i can draw lots and lots of characters!
please be patient with me. i will try to get all requests done quickly, but there is a possibility for your request to take many months to complete. please be mindful that i have a personal life and duties to attend to that may prevent me from drawing your character in a timely manner. thank you!
since these are free requests, i will not be accepting revisions. the final art will remain unchanged after it is posted.
anyone displaying excessively rude or inappropriate behavior will not have their request completed and will be blocked.
and that's all folks! thanks for reading, drink some water, and give me some characters to draw!!

one thing that always boggles me is thinking about how creativity is not divided equally among all people. like I don’t want to put anyone down but it’s very eerie to me to meet someone who Isn’t Creative.
key example: my brother and I were big fans of the tv series Junkyard Wars as a kid (two teams of engineers and mechanics are put in a scrap yard and given a problem to solve and they have to make a machine that solves the problem). My dad came up with a drawing game he called junkyard wars that was similar to the show, and your objective was to draw a silly machine that solved the problem and also describe where all the parts came from.
Anyway we were playing this game in an airport one time and another kid came up to ask what we were doing so we let them play with us. The task was to make some kind of vehicle and my brother and I both made these wacky machines but this kid just drew a regular car. And when we asked them about it they just said that they couldn’t think of anything else to get from point a to point b. I don’t have a point to this story other than that brains are weird and it’s easy to forget that everyone else’s doesn’t work like yours

Enhancing Indoor Comfort and Efficiency with Air Curtains
Introduction:
In the realm of commercial and industrial settings, maintaining indoor comfort, and energy efficiency is paramount. Air curtains, also known as air doors, play a crucial role in achieving these goals by creating a barrier of air across doorways or openings. In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the benefits of air curtains, how they work, and common FAQs to help you understand their importance and functionality.
How Do Air Curtains Work?
Air curtains function by blowing a controlled stream of air across an opening, creating a barrier that separates indoor and outdoor environments. This barrier helps prevent the entry of dust, insects, fumes, and outdoor pollutants while allowing for the easy passage of people and vehicles. The stream of air is typically generated by a fan or blower unit mounted above the doorway, which draws in ambient air and forces it through a nozzle or vent.
Benefits of Air Curtains:
Energy Efficiency: By creating a barrier against outdoor air, air curtains help reduce the loss of heated or cooled air through open doorways, leading to significant energy savings.
Improved Indoor Air Quality: Air curtains prevent the entry of dust, fumes, and other contaminants, helping maintain a cleaner indoor environment and improving indoor air quality.
Temperature Control: Air curtains help maintain a consistent indoor temperature by preventing the entry of hot or cold air from outside, improving comfort levels for occupants.
Insect and Pest Control: Air curtains can help prevent the entry of insects, rodents, and other pests, reducing the need for chemical pesticides and improving overall hygiene.
Increased Comfort and Safety: Air curtains create a more comfortable indoor environment by reducing drafts and cold spots near doorways. They also improve safety by maintaining visibility and preventing the buildup of condensation on floors.
FAQs about Air Curtains:
What is the ideal placement for an air curtain?
Air curtains are typically installed above doorways or openings, with the airflow directed downward across the opening.
Do air curtains require regular maintenance?
Yes, air curtains require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. This may include cleaning the unit, checking for any obstructions, and inspecting the fan and motor.
Can air curtains be used in residential settings?
While air curtains are more commonly used in commercial and industrial settings, they can also be used in residential settings to improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort.
Do air curtains make noise?
Air curtains may produce some noise due to the operation of the fan or blower unit. However, newer models are designed to operate quietly.
Are there different types of air curtains?
Yes, there are different types of air curtains available, including heated and unheated models, as well as units designed for specific applications such as industrial or food service.
Conclusion:
Air curtains are versatile and effective devices that offer a range of benefits in commercial, industrial, and even residential settings. By creating a barrier of air across doorways and openings, air curtains help improve indoor comfort, maintain temperature control, and enhance energy efficiency, making them a valuable addition to any facility. Whether you're looking to improve indoor air quality, reduce energy costs, or enhance safety and comfort, air curtains are a practical solution that can help you achieve your goals.

He's more like her arrogant and think they can get it back and to make sure they don't
His firebird idea is one of the best ideas I've ever heard and he said it might be Billy z and yes one of his ideas but you touched on it it's because you're tired of riding the bicycle around almost getting an accidents with every single idiot that comes by you and in the car we go after them pretty hard now I've seen this before reaction to the firebird is very positive but with red it would not be so good and you have to try it but we're pretty sure it's not great it is blue it's not so good either the other works really well but you're saying this at this time it might not be good either so we might try it cuz we think you're right and burgundy is different. We got a lot of hoots and laughs from our people because of what these idiots are saying and they looked at and said wow that thing is actually very hot it looks like a supercar kind of and they couldn't believe it it was really cool looking and we have a way of getting it there and a way to get it to you but you say you have enough money for it now and we know you don't see you sit there cuz you can't do it and people like the idea of having it in the first place and then having an end of disguised as a Camaro and the Z28 now it's an SS and they like the idea of having it look modernized and probably have LS1 attachments on a regular old Camaro motor any like that stuff the only thing they don't like cuz you driving around having a good time but it represents us actually succeeding and they would be pissed off for sure when you think it's just concrete they have to face so they feel bad for you. We're going to go ahead and start putting it together and we probably already did but it's a good idea and having a smaller motor is a good idea I think it was way too heavy that big block we like 1200 lb and the 341 or what have you 342 ways about 800 lb it's still very heavy and nowhere near that heavy that's ridiculous this is more like 600 pounds and that's more like it they need that in front of voice it's really heavy and it wasn't done up right for some reason it was weak and three speed is enough and I'll fix up inside of course there's nothing I'm going to be stock. And I guess he'd have to have a reason to have a car that's just a tool around and you'd have to pay insurance and still be 60 bucks a month or something like that it'll be $1,000 a year or seven hundred dollars a year it's not cheap with the older car would be less expensive. He just doesn't have that kind of money it requires maintenance and gasoline oil insurance and a few other things regular wear and tear and problems so really it's not going to happen unless he has some cash they say they don't feel like it that's fine what bill is he wants to get him in the vehicle and he's been thinking about it and he had a plan and stuff and it's not really that great but he got him the firebird in the first place because the shell is real metal and it's like a fair day cage and the frame is steel the engine is huge and solid steel kidnapping with it. Had the aluminum bike does nothing he tested a lot and it doesn't do anything just kind of sits there while the guy fries so it's back to the drawing board
There's about 60 people here and say no but half of them think it's a good idea and the other half think it's decent and they say all sorts of things about the firebird what to do to it how to treat it all sorts of stuff he would not believe it.
There are about 7,000 people screaming for him to get the vehicle and it's going to spread
Thor Freya
You don't like it but this is one of the most popular ideas you've had we've had in the Tommy f came up with most people think it's a good idea including the max and we have to review it and what you say is you don't have any money so a month or two for them to get out of their own way and we agree just so slow

How to Find a Concrete Contractor in Newcastle
Tumblr media
Concrete contractors work with a wide variety of surfaces, from concrete driveways to concrete patios. They are skilled professionals who offer bespoke solutions and are committed to environmental sustainability. They also promote community involvement. One way to find a concrete contractor is by asking for referrals from friends, family, and neighbors.
Exposed Aggregate Driveways
Concrete driveways are an excellent way to add value to your home and provide a safe surface for your vehicle. They also give your property a unique look that draws attention. Concrete can be poured in large slabs or in individual paving blocks, which offer different advantages. Both types of paving are durable and require minimal maintenance. However, choosing the right one for your needs depends on your budget and style preferences.
Exposed aggregate concrete is a decorative finish that showcases the gravel or pebbles in the concrete mix. It can be incorporated into the concrete mix at the concrete plant or added as a topping when the concrete is poured. The aggregate can be coloured to match or contrast with the cement paste colour.
Aggregate concrete is easy to maintain and requires less water than standard concrete. It also does not show tyre marks and has a slip-resistant surface. It is recommended to reseal the concrete every three-four years to ensure it maintains its appearance and durability.
Resealing
When you choose a concrete contractor, it’s important to look for one who has experience in the type of work you need. Ask friends and family for recommendations, and check out online reviews. Make sure the contractor has licenses and insurance to protect yourself in case of an accident during the project.
Before applying the sealer, make sure to pressure wash the surface to remove any dirt, mildew, or other debris. If the concrete has oil spots or irrigation rust stains, you can use EAGLE CLEANER DEGREASER & NEUTRALIZER to help remove them. You should also test the sealant on a small area of your concrete to ensure it will perform properly and achieve the desired results.
After the concrete has been resealed, regular maintenance will keep it looking good for years to come. This includes a simple cleaning every few months with soap and water. You can also add a slip-resistant additive to make your concrete safer for people and pets.
Repairs
Concrete contractors offer a wide range of services, including paving, constructing patios and driveways and concrete finishing. They also repair and resurface existing surfaces. It is important to do your research before hiring a concrete contractor. This includes reading reviews and customer testimonials, as well as checking the contractors’ license and insurance.
You can find a local concrete contractor by asking for referrals from friends, family and neighbours. You can also search online for a contractor that specialises in the type of work you need.
Choosing a concrete contractor that is experienced and understands your vision can make all the difference in your project’s success. Once you have narrowed down your options, request a detailed quote from each contractor to compare prices. Make sure to ask about licenses and insurance, as these are typically crucial if you’re doing any kind of construction or structural work on your property. Also, ask for references and a portfolio of past projects to get an idea of their work quality.
Maintenance
Concrete contractors offer a variety of services, including paving and concrete construction. They can help you create walkways, patios, driveways, and steps that enhance the beauty of your property. They can also help you with the construction of foundations and basements, as well as concrete finishing.
These professionals can also perform installation repairs to refractory and civil structures. They are experienced in gunite and shotcreting, which are methods of spraying a mixture of cement and water into refractory and civil structures to repair them.
Before hiring a concrete contractor, make sure they have the necessary licenses and insurance. In addition, you should read reviews and check out customer testimonials. You can also attend displays at home improvement expos and trade shows to get an idea of their work. Once you have narrowed down your list of potential contractors, ask them for a detailed quote. This will give you an idea of their prices and how they compare to the competition.

Well then, let's get this little show on the road, shall we?
At least we would if there were any roads around here, you suppose. But the closest thing you have in this space station are chips in the floor to guide some of the automated vehicles, and then there are also the trains that travel between sections...
But you're getting distracted. Oops.
Your name is XEPHYR ALTARF, and you've just had quite a busy third triad at your job. You like to run a tight ship as the SOLE BARTENDER at the Protostar Lounge (you don't like to think about what happened to your co-tender). It's not an easy job, but you take pride in your work of crafting beverages and somehow managing to keep the hooligans under control. You're not sure how you do it; it's like it JUST COMES NATURALLY TO YOU.
When you're not working the lounge in your neck of GANTRY STARPORT, you like to do a number of things. RESEARCHING AND DAYDREAMING about the stories your customers have shared with you, for one. You've LIVED ON THIS STATION ALL YOUR LIFE, so you have no idea what a good deal of what they're talking about even means. Thank goodness for the vast expansive universe of knowledge that is the INTERNET! You also like to spend hours DRAWING what you imagine these things look like, if there are no pictures available.
You've also become somewhat of a master of ELEBACKTARIAN SLEIGHT OF HAND, which is different from regular sleight of hand in that there is a sleight risk of actually losing your hand. But you've found that it's the perfect complement to your drink mixing and it bolsters your tips. If you make enough money and accidentally do lose your hands, you figure you can invest in a titanium set. It's NOT LIKE IT'LL HURT ANYTHING if that happens.
And after a full period of being on your feet, when you feel the need to keep up the status quo, you like to GO FOR A RUN around the station, or CUT A RUG in your quarters. You prefer the vast spaciousness of the corridors and open areas to the tiny running track at the gym, and ever since you played up the phrase "cutting a rug" during a lesson, they've given you a side eye every time you've come in (and a pat-down to look for scissors). Let's just say you prefer to dance in the safety and comfort of your own space. Some people just have no sense of humor.
You don't have too many online friends, but for the ones you do have, your phonetag is garrulousAeration. You've never felt the breeze on your skin, but from what you've heard, You kind of imaaaagine it feels something like this... And you like to reflect that in how you wriiiite...
Now that that's all settled... what will you do?
 > Xephyr: Get to the bottom of this mess
