The government might flex policies of bail bonds
A US House bill aims to substitute cash bonds for pretrial individuals with supervised release.
Civil right groups are happy with this bill because the current system violates the concept of “innocent until proven guilty.”
On the other hand, bail bondsmen are expecting their businesses to fall if the bill pushes through.

Listen up North Carolinians!!
Section 6 of House Bill 933 puts up another barrier for people with pre-existing conditions with regards to health care access. Enraged yet? Well, there’s more. This bill would make it so that private insurance companies no longer have to adhere to state and federal policies. That means that insurers can have discriminatory practices that were previously banned under the ACA. “Cherrypicking”, or the discrimination against older individuals with health concerns in favor of those that are young and healthy, will become more and more commonplace. Everyone should have access to affordable healthcare regardless of their age or medical history. In the U.S., there are approximately 133 million non-elderly Americans with at least one condition that is considered pre-existing. That makes up 23-27% of the population. The last thing our healthcare system needs is more barriers. And lastly, adopting legislation from Tennessee is never a good idea. OPPOSE SECTION 6 OF HOUSEBILL 933

"Coming to a State near you" (Black Market) Medical marijuana shops operating without a license would have to become compliant by June 1 or face consequences under legislation passed by the Michigan House Thursday. House Bill 4440 sets the new deadline, and adds punishment for the unlicensed facilities if they don’t comply. Bill sponsor Jim Lilly, R-Park Twp., said the idea is to have a firm deadline for fully regulating Michigan’s medical marijuana industry. “There’s a point in time at which we have to move from an unregulated market to a regulated market, from unlicensed operators to licensed operators, and I believe this legislation does that,” he said. House members voted 102-4 to advance the legislation, which now heads to the Senate for further review. Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Clark Lake, expressed enthusiasm for the bill, telling reporters he’s “been begging for that for months.” “We’ve got a new law in place, we’ve got a bunch of law breakers, and we’ve got companies...that are deeply investing in Michigan, and we’re prohibiting them from advancing by not enforcing the law,” Shirkey said. The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs opposes the bill. Spokesman David Harns said the department is unable to comment due to pending litigation. Medical marijuana facilities challenged the state's previous attempt to shut down temporary operators after April 1 -- and were successful in gaining a temporary restraining order from Court of Claims Judge Stephen Borrello. State officials are prevented from setting any new compliance deadline due to the pending cases. Why would a party be against making an election day a holiday?
The GOP is AGAINST ANYTHING that makes voting easier for citizens! Because Republicans believe that a lower voter turnout benefits them. They are afraid a high turnout will remove them from power!! And please don’t lecture me about the supposed cost when you gave away a TRILLION dollar tax cut to the weathiest 2% in the country! The GOP has passed or attempted to pass unnecessary voter ID laws that end up restricting minority voting in states across the country.
Why is the GOP against a new house bill to require presidential candidates to release their full tax returns?
Because the GOP is still trying to protect their dear leader Dirty Donald. The GOP is only concerned about transparency when DEMS are in the WH. Dirty Donald has refused to release his tax returns becuase he has something to hide.
Why is the GOP against a new housebill to require donors of more than $10,000 to identify themselves?
