Ahem. Hotaru Haganezuka ask here. He is a virgin but he's good w his fingers.
Anything for you!♥️ I need to write more for him, he’s such a cutie. I totally screwed up and forgot the virgin aspect, but he’s 100% a virgin before marriage so… this is just some relationship fluff.
☆彡Break Time★彡
Hotaru Haganezuka x Wife! Reader
TW: Spanking (¿) • Couples Argument • Fingering (F) • Very light edging/overstimulation
It’s been days, and for the first time in his life, Hotaru felt guilty.
He knew his own passion and obsession for work worried his fellow colleagues, especially Kozo, who often would monitor and intervene if he was taking it too far and jeopardizing his health. He’d never expressed his gratitude properly, as he is forced to swallow the bitter medicine of experiencing this stress himself.
There you were, his adorable and sweet new bride, working still. Even now. Hardly eating, not sleeping, and while you’ve bathed that’s the longest you’ve pulled yourself from your work. He wanted to be understanding, because truly he too enjoyed the craft he’s dedicated his life too… but it’s different when it’s you throwing your health away. His hypocrisy lost on him though, as he only focuses on the rising anger at your carelessness for your health. Never mind how he treats himself, that’s not the issue here.
You hadn’t moved in eight hours, not even when he spoke or tried to touch you. Instead, you became enraged when he attempted to intervene or redirect.
Hotaru is not a patient man. If he hadn’t been busy with his own work, you wouldn’t have gotten away with this so long.
Your sass and attitude maxing out his boiling point, though not a difficult thing to do, when you’d snapped at him.
“Hotaru! You’re being a nuisance, please let me focus!” You huffed, your tired eyes and furrowed brows not cute enough to stop his explosion.
“Woman! You’re done! Time for a damn break,” you’re hauled into his arms, before being thrown over his shoulder as he furiously rambles at you.
“What’re you even thinking?! Do you want to die?! When was the last time you ate, huh?! Or slept?!” His mood coupled with being torn from your concentration and lack of sleep, ignites your own fiery rage.
You begin pounding uselessly at his wide back, kicking your feet and making his eye twitch as you shout back.
“Idiot! I’m not tired, put me down! Who’re you to judge?! Ah!” You jolt, crying out and cutting your tirade short when a large palm smacks your ass. He lands another on the other cheek even as he storms towards your home.
“I’m stupid?! If you’re not tired, that’s fine. I’ll help make you tired.” He’s fuming, but it’s not anything new with the hot blooded man.
You go to speak again, but a firm squeeze to your ass has you hushing, your gut instinct telling you not to rile him up further. He enters your home and goes straight for your shared bedroom, gently swinging you back to your feet and pushing you down onto your bed.
He tosses the mask and hair cover, revealing his irritated expression and dark gaze.
“You gonna fix that attitude and sleep or am I gonna have to make you?” His arms crossed over his chest expose his forearms as his haori slides up. The thick veins and muscles have you somewhat simmering down, your work becoming slightly less important as you peak up at your husband.
It feels like you’re losing though, as you pout and contemplate the best route to returning to work.
You could give in, but when has he ever made it easy to tear him from his work? You had to tickle him to disable him long enough for Kozo to drag him home. Even then, you had to threaten him within an inch of his life to make him settle and do basic hygiene and eat. You’d become familiar with his knives and throwing them.
Thinking about what a pain he is when it comes to overworking, you can’t help pushing back.
“This is unfair Taru, I’m nearly done anyway so just let me—,”
“Fucking stubborn.” He mutters under his breath, truly not seeing the irony. He drops to his knees, gripping your shoulders and manhandling you onto his lap, sitting your back to his chest while he snickers at your protests.
“You really don’t want to be good for me?” His gruff tone has you pausing in your fight, swallowing thickly at the implication.
You do want to be good for him, but he’s clearly rubbed off on you because you also don’t feel like listening. Being so sleep deprived, you worried if you did rest you’d lose all sense of creativity and your work would be ruined if you stopped now.
“I-I do, but Taru…oh,” you still as you feel his rough hands smooth over your clothes, before slipping beneath to feel your bare thighs.
“Not oh,” He mocks teasingly, leaning over you to lick the shell of your ear as you softly squeal and try to turn away. “You need to say ‘yes my darling Hotaru, my wonderful husband, always know best’.” He can’t see you rolling your eyes, but he knows you aren’t amused in your cranky state. “Don’t want to listen?” His question is foreboding but you just huff in annoyance, trying to wiggle your hips to make his hands either move where you want them or release you.
He lets his fingers dance over your skin for a moment, enjoying the feeling of you in his arms after so many days apart.
Hotaru lets one finger drag up your bare slit, groaning as he realizes you wore nothing beneath your yukata.
“Did you not miss me?” He whispers in your ear, and the moan you release as he lightly uses your slick to coat your clit is lovely. “Your work truly can’t wait? Even for this?” He presses into you, sinking one thick finger deep inside while you pant and grind down onto his hand. “Taru~ feels good,” you melt into his firm chest, letting him slowly pump his digit in and out of your pussy.
He chuckles, letting you get nice and comfortable before he removes his finger, your whine met with a harsh slap over your clit.
He laughs at your cry, back to rubbing soothing circles again. “Didn’t want you falling asleep, you said you weren’t tired right?” Your arousal spiked but annoyance ignited again, you wrap your arms behind you, around his own neck. He complies to your nonverbal demand by leaning further and kissing you, swallowing your moans as you open for him to invade.
Your mouth is nearly as hot as your pussy, his finger returning with another to sink inside you again.
You’re putty in no time. One arm around your waist to keep you still as you moan and cry for him, begging for him to go faster or harder because he’s just shy of doing enough make you cum.
“What’s wrong doll? Wasn’t I a nuisance earlier, but now you’re making so many demands. At least this mouth is cute and honest.” He’s doing it on purpose, keeping your peak just out of reach as you slowly unfold in his arms. The squelching of your pussy is noisy, especially when he picks up speed and intensity, only to drop back to an agonizingly slow and exploratory pace. He has nail marks in his arms, but he’s uncaring as he dedicates his full attention to making you as wet as possible without letting you have an orgasm.
His eyes track your face, tears finally bubbling over and spilling as you sniff and babble at him, begging for forgiveness and mercy.
“Look at you pretty thing, am I just so deep inside your pussy?” He’s not letting you answer, slotting his lips against your own again as he begins to increase his pace, slipping yet another finger inside you. You’ve been held on the edge so long you can’t hold back anymore, crying into his mouth as you finally cum.
Hotaru breaks the kiss in amazement as you jerk and try to claw out of his hold, whining almost as if in pain until he sees the fluids from your pussy squirting out.
“Taru, please, no, I can’t—” you nearly choke on the words, unable to hardly breathe because he just keeps going. Those rough calloused fingers filling you up and spreading you wide as they fuck you.
Unfortunately for you, he’s not paying attention. Too focused and enamored with how much you came, how hard and intense, and without even meaning to, you’re sent over the edge again. You nearly wail, the force of your muscles contracting as the pleasure explodes behind your eyes is enough to almost render you unconscious.
The way you shake and writhe in his arms finally breaks his focus as he looks down at you, so fucked out from his fingers alone you can’t keep your eyes open.
A part of him wants to make you do that again, but another acknowledges his wife needs rest like he originally intended to force.
Orgasms were good for sleep though, right? He always found his mood improving after he’s came, and clearly it worked well for you. Your soft nearly boneless figure in his arms proof.
“Sleepy?” He’s soft, kissing your forehead and cheeks, rubbing his nose against yours as you yawn and nod. “Mhm…” he doesn’t tease you further, laying you down properly on the bed, and getting up for a damp wash rag to clean up, and even making sure you drink some water. He was a bit worried of dehydration since you’d cum so hard.
He could go back to work, there’s another project he needs to start soon…
Your warm and sleepy figure in bed stops him though. He can’t resist stripping and climbing in with you, pulling you close and breathing you in.
While he’s not going to stop work for something measly like sleep or food, he’d never say no to this. Holding you. Sleeping beside you. Waking up with you.

I'm Your Lover: Haganezuka Hotaru x Reader (SFW Oneshot)
in which Haganezuka thinks he lost the love of his life
Tumblr media
Pairing: Haganezuka Hotaru x Female! Reader
Content: angst, hurt/comfort, you have an argument with Hotaru, near-death experiences, etc.
Synopsis: Seeing your long-term lover, Haganezuka, battered and bloodied — with gashes etched across his body — filled you with overwhelming dread. Unfortunately, the ever-stubborn swordsmith upholds his craft over his own health, and you exchange heated words neither of you truly mean. Hotaru thinks you overreacted, and he believes his fresh cuts and wounds aren't worth an ounce of worry; that is, until he saw you in the same state — on the brink of death.
Tumblr media
The pain from a wounded heart is shared with one's true love.
Your night is sleepless and engulfed in excruciating dread. Pacing within the quiet gardens of the Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, you try to steer your attention away from your pounding heart by listening to the crinkling leaves below the soles of your feet.
It was a futile attempt, for you inevitably return to the spiral of paranoia clouding your mind.
"The Swordsmith Village is under attack!"
You remember how your heart dropped to your stomach when you heard the shrill caw of your Kasugai Crow. It has been a few hours since the dreadful news, and no updates are yet to be shared.
As an esteemed Hashira, you are entrusted with protecting the fragile lives of humans against the evil deeds of demons. You act with honed composure and impressive calmness. However, in this moment, no sort of breathing can alleviate your clammy hands and panicked eyes. After all, in this moment, you are none other than the lover of a man who resides in the endangered village.
You blink away the tears framing your waterline as you internally plead for the safety of your betrothed — your soon-to-be husband — Hotaru.
You remember having your forehead touch the ground as you lurched yourself in a desperate bow, begging for the secret village's location to be revealed to you. You have to ensure your lover's safety, and you would never forgive yourself if he found himself in irreparable harm.
Oyakata-sama — the frail, sickly, and kind leader of the Demon Slayers — could only offer a gentle and genuine smile as he said, "I believe in the combined strength of Kanroji and Tokito. Please, raise your head."
If this were any other situation, his calming voice and presence would have reassured you, but the anxiety of whether or not Hotaru is still alive overwhelms any other thought. With that, you pace around tirelessly, restlessly under the glaring moonlight.
Soon, your body grew tired with the weight of your exhausted mind, and you curl yourself into a ball under a solemn tree.
Please, Hotaru — please be safe.
One shall traverse the universe to reconnect fragile hearts.
You vigorously clamp your sweaty hands onto the uniform of the Kakushi carrying you on their back. The sun is already brightly plastered amidst the blue skies, and you eagerly await your arrival in the — supposedly wrecked — village.
That morning, you awoke in an anxious jolt to your crow's pitched cries, "Upper Moon Four and Five were defeated by the Hashiras and slayers in the village!"
Without a doubt, you wasted no time in traversing the convoluted route towards the Swordsmith Village, heart nearly pounding out of your chest due to immense concern for the well-being of your beloved Hotaru.
Is he well? Did he get attacked? Is he alive?
Your crow thankfully delivered news that made you kneel and shakily sigh in relief: Hotaru is alive; however, he sustained injuries from an encounter with Upper Moon Five — that idiot, he can't even cease his work for the sake of protecting himself.
Your thoughts are interrupted when the Kakushi gently urges you off their back, "Here we are, Hashira."
You remove your blindfold and can't help but lightly gasp at the heaps of wrecked houses that initially stood beautifully in the serene village. All the masked swordsmiths are scurrying about, trying to recover whatever belongings they could find under splintered planks and crumbled concrete.
You feel your lips twitch in a concerned frown when you note how each villager appears to have bandages wrapped around various parts of their body — the attack was that bad, huh?
With a light shake of your head, you sprint towards the nearest familiar face — well, mask — that can inform you of Hotaru's whereabouts. He always had a tendency to hide himself away for days, and (at least today) you don't disregard the prospect of tearing down the decrepit village even further just to locate your beloved.
To your relief, you spot Kanamori Kozo, a close companion of Hotaru (even if the latter will never verbally admit to it). He spots you before you can utter a word, and as if he can read the desperate worry on your face, he says,
"Ah, if it isn't our beloved Hashira. Please, try to wipe off the worry in your eyes. Haganezuka-san is fine; he's his usual stubborn self, as always."
"Kanamori-san, thank you — but do you have any clue where he is?" Your shallow breaths are more of a testament to your suppressed worry than exerted stamina, and Kanamori gently places a hand on your shoulder as kind reassurance.
"The last time I saw him, his wounds were already bandaged, and he persisted in returning to his workspace in the mountains."
You don't outwardly react to this information, but you feel yourself swallow a lump of frustration. Hotaru's choosing to return to swordsmithing hours after the threat of death? Stupid, stupid man.
Kanamori flinches at the aura of infuriation emanated by your figure. He continues, "He will be healed fully in time," he appeases you. "It's a miracle he only lost his left eye—"
"What?" Your chilly voice rings through the morning air, and you hear a light yelp of fear from the man beside you. "His eye — what happened to his eye?"
Kanamori flings around his bruised arms, suddenly forgetting his dull pain amidst your bubbling rage. "He was too focused — it was both impressive and foolish — the Upper Moon wanted him to stop sharpening the blade, so he took out his eye." Kanamori's voice falters by the end of his sentence, a look of concern adorning his features behind the Hyottoko mask.
"I thought he would have sent you a letter prior to your journey here." His usually collected voice, now barely a whisper, is laced with bewilderment.
You feel your jaw clench as veins pop on your forehead. Stupid man — you're engaged to a stupid, reckless man! Suddenly, as if thrashed around by harsh waves, you feel your anger falter with sadness. Why hadn't Hotaru sent you a letter to inform you of his state? Is he unable to comprehend how stressful your night was while all he did was dedicate his whole being to a sword?
Turning away from Kanamori, you bid him your quiet gratitude and rushed towards the mountains where you are sure to find your tactless lover.
Behind you, Kanamori sighs to himself and mutters, "I started a quarrel, didn't I? Haganezuka-san, please be considerate to your one and only lover!"
However, cowardice shields one from facing their bruised, weeping soul.
You try to suppress the frustration from fully seeping through your figure, briskly stomping towards the collapsed pile of wood and dirt — Hotaru's work shack.
You instantaneously see your lover's bulky figure crouched down and digging for whatever tool he was searching for. Your body and heart react in a conflicting flurry of emotions: you feel relief wash over you, and you blink away tears that were beginning to pool; on the other hand, your head feels like it's overheating from anger — anger towards how Hotaru deliberately forgot about even sending a measly letter to the love of his life.
Perhaps it's the combination of heart-wrenching stress and sleep deprivation, but you find yourself grasping onto Hotaru's shoulder, making him aware of your presence as you twist his upper body to face you.
"Stupid! Stupid! Unbelievably stupid!"
Before Haganezuka can even express his bewilderment at your arrival, you snuck your fingers under the thin string of his Hyottoko mask, removing it to reveal his face: his wounded, cut-filled face accompanied by a left eye that can't even open to reveal one of his brilliant amber irises.
"Why — why didn't you send me a letter?" The lump of sadness sitting in your heart is veiled by stuttering annoyance; with that, Hotaru simply places his rough palms on your shoulders, slowly standing up to his full height (which prompted you to crane your neck to look at him).
"I was going to send you one, but I figured I needed to salvage some materials first. You see, that Tanjiro brat needs this new Nichirin blade and—"
"Enough with swords, for goodness sake! You lost an eye!" You cut him off as your lips trembled. "You're bleeding through your bandages because you're not supposed to work after being nearly killed!"
"Hey, it wasn't a big deal. I didn't even realize I was being attacked. Calm down," Hotaru's (limited) patience begins to waver, scrunching his nose to hopefully deter you from becoming too angry. However, Hotaru does not seem to understand that it upsets you more to hear him downplay his health after hours of you ruminating whether he was alive or not.
"I spent the entire evening mulling over your safety, and you're here casually rummaging through rubble because swords are your priority," your sentence stops before you could mutter 'over me.'
Rather than deciphering the hidden sorrow behind your words, Hotaru becomes defensive, misinterpreting your sentiment. "I'm a swordsmith; of course it's my damn priority," with an angry huff, he stared you down with his eye. "Is my work not flashy enough for you, Hashira?"
"That's not what I said!" You felt your heart crack with how distanced Hotaru is at the moment.
"These wounds aren't a big deal, alright? Stop worrying over nothing and go back to your Hashira priorities. I'm not the only one who has work to do," with a light 'tsk' of his tongue, Hotaru turns away from you, ready to return to the pile of discarded materials.
Although, you weren't pleased with his attitude, and the dam holding your tears and overwhelming emotions broke.
"I am your lover! We chose each other, and you have a commitment to me that you should uphold!" Your voice wavers in inconsistent pitches, and you try to choke back your tears. "Right now, I'm in front of you as someone you are engaged to — worried sick because my beloved had his life at risk!"
Hotaru doesn't face you, and he doesn't respond with even a hum of acknowledgment. It is silent, and only after a few minutes of your flowing tears and his stubborn front did he speak,
"Right now, I'm a swordsmith, and I have work to do. Go home."
Hearts of fiery anger fizzle into hearts of dampened yearning.
Haganezuka regrets what he said to you. It has been a few days since your sudden visit to the ruined village, and he didn't even embrace you in his arms nor did he properly acknowledge your feelings.
He heard your hiccups and sobs, yet he rooted his feet on the ground and offered no solace. He feels nothing but guilt and a desire to see your lovely face again.
He rolls the quill on his fingers, unable to write anything but your name on the paper spread on his desk. He urges himself to write an apology — or even to bid you to visit him in the temporary village they were residing in — but his hands are stagnant and his mind is empty of everything but the throbbing ache of regret.
"Haganezuka-san, you really messed up," Kanamori was shameless in scolding him. In any other situation, Haganezuka would have angrily responded in a nearly comical manner. However, Kanamori is right:
He did mess up.
Just as he writes the first word of his letter to you, a Kasugai crow abruptly enters his hut, making him curse under his breath and glare at the raven-colored bird.
The crow intently looks at Haganezuka, making the man feel an eerie shiver of dread run up his spine. The crow then opens its beak to deliver a message that makes Hotaru drop his pen in sheer horror,
"The Hashira — your betrothed — is in critical condition after protecting a town from powerful demons."
To feel a lover's warmth once again,  one would relinquish everything.
Hastily running on the dirt path to the Butterfly Mansion, Hotaru's mind is tortured by the image of your body rendered immobile and weakened on a hospital bed. His rush to see you made him forget his Hyottoko mask, for he only bothered to bring himself and an apology at the tip of his tongue.
Soon, he rushes through the gates of the Insect Pillar's abode, ignoring the surprised stares of Aoi and the other girls of the mansion. Afraid that he might wreck havoc in his emotionally volatile state, Aoi yells, "Haganezuka-san, she's resting in one of the guest quarters! She's stable!"
However, it did little to quell his worry, for he continues to run through the wooden floors of the mansion with only one thought in mind: you.
He then hears the distant sound of voices conversing with one another in a relaxed manner. One of the voices he immediately identifies as Kamado Tanjiro, and the other — sweet, kind yet tired — is your voice.
With a desperate hope bubbling in his chest, he opens the door without an ounce of hesitation, and he sees you — adorned in white bandages all over your limbs and temple, small scars littered on your cheeks, and a dumbfounded look on your face.
"Haganezuka-san!" The bandaged Tanjiro yelps in surprise, eyebrows furrowing in a mix of concern and shock.
"Out," Hotaru spares no glance at the redhead, for his gaze is locked in your hardened one. "Get out, brat."
Haganezuka does not even pay attention to the boy limply scurrying out the room, muttering flustered apologies as he closes the wooden door shut.
"Hotaru, he was just keeping me company," you lightly scowl at your ever-so immature lover, huffing a puff of tired breath.
"Yeah? Well, I'm your company now." Hotaru brings his large figure closer to your bed, but you twist your head to avoid looking at him. Rather than becoming frustrated, Hotaru feels his heart squeeze with the same regret that plagued him for days.
"My love, I'm sorry." His voice was quiet, weak, and vulnerable — entirely opposite to the gruff, deep voice that angrily curses at any miniscule annoyance. Hotaru kneels by your bedside, taking your bandaged hand in his calloused one. You initially flinch, but you relent and relax in his comfortable, familiar hold.
"I want you to know that I regret what I told you that day. I am a swordsmith — that's true — and I pride myself on my role, but I also pride myself on being your lover." His genuine tone makes your eyes water, and you blink hastily to rid of the tears.
"I was so worried — so, so worried — and you were so mean to me, Hotaru," you can't suppress your sobs as you face him again, tears cascading down your bruised cheeks.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry," he gently shushes you, nuzzling his face onto your temple as he sighs deeply. "I didn't understand why you were so worried about me, but seeing you in this state," he swallows down a sob, his tone wavering. "I thought — I thought I lost you, and I realized how you must have felt when the village was under attack."
"Yeah? You got a taste of your own medicine, that’s good," you try to playfully tease him, voice tired and raw with emotion. Hotaru’s face contorts into a half-hearted smirk as he settles down on the foot of your bed, not once unlinking his hand from yours.
His expression turns solemn once again. " I mean it when I say I want to be a better lover to you and soon — a good husband." His honest declaration of love makes your heart swell in warmth, flaring brightly when he brings your battered knuckles to his lips.
"I want to live a long life with you, and I’m not leaving you anytime soon — not even when we age into cranky old people with wrinkles and frail backs." He presses his tender lips against your knuckles once again, feeling himself relax at the sound of your quiet breaths of relief and contentment.
"Let’s take care of ourselves and each other, yeah?" He bends down to kiss your quivering lips lightly, hand still holding yours as his other palm gently combs through your hair.
"Yeah."
Once you part, you can only stare at him with unbridled love — his scarred cheeks, unusable eye, and the damp locks of dark hair stuck to his temple; despite all that, he’s still Hotaru, your unbelievably handsome, reckless yet amazing lover.
Hotaru’s face holds a raw emotion reserved for you and no one else. Your scarred face and puffy eyes do nothing to hinder your magnetic beauty — your gorgeous soul — from shining so brightly, and he feels like he’s falling in love all over again.
You bask in each other’s presence for hours, making up for lost time as you share warmth, comfort, and hushed promises of a better tomorrow. By the time the room is painted by the moon’s grace, you whisper,
"Hotaru, don’t you need to restore Tanjiro-kun’s new katana?"
"That can wait. I’m not a swordsmith right now."
"Hm?"
"I’m your lover."
Souls can be healed, no matter how nasty the scar, as long as you give the right person your heart.

Funny how I suggest the idea that if I don't draw the Outers in 2024 I'd be a fake fan and within a couple weeks I've drawn the Outers lol. My brain is so weird. Anyway here are the more Mysterious senshi.
Tumblr media
My dumbass ranting and comparisons of the rest of my senshi drawings under the cut 👇
Inners
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looking at these its kinda obvious I drew these after barely having the time to get to know the characters. I finished volume 2, the Dark Kingdom arc and was already hooked, so I drew the Senshi as I thought they were. Clearly I'm using 90s as reference which is very obvious looking at details like Mina and Mako's color pallettes, Ami's puffed sleeves and lack of extra studs in her ear. In Rei's case I had the first panel of her from Act 4 in mind. I dunno why but that struck me as her "true personality" after having seen her be so polite and proper in her intro. But then it just ended up looking like 90s Rei LOL.
I keep floating the idea of redrawing these. But I also just want to draw solo art of the girls.
Uranus and Neptune
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most recent art, drawn after getting to know everything there is to know about the series, its characters and even other versions of them. By this point I've read the manga over and over countless times, binged the hell out of Crystal, watched 200 episodes of the classic anime, and even witnessed the infamous "cousins" dynamic from DIC/Cloverway. Oh and I maybe drew them this way out of spite. Also completely ignored any of the anime's interpretations of Michiru's hair and made up my own rules lol.
In this art it definitely feels I know these two on a personal level that I just did not when I drew the inner senshi. But its kinda nice because I think my inner senshi art from 2022 shows how excited I was to get to know them 🤭
Pluto and Saturn
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okie so the reason I didn't go the Setsuna-mama and Hotaru-chan route is- okay 2 reasons- first being they would have been Super Sailor Pluto and Super Sailor Saturn. But the rest of my drawings of the senshi are how they were introduced. Wouldn't fit. Second, as Pluto and Saturn were introduced, there was a separation that there wasn't between all the others. Saturn was almost made out to be the villian and Pluto was gonna let Uranus and Neptune kill Hotaru. So yea maybe this looks angsty but thats because it was that way lol.
Oh and they have their talismans while Uranus and Neptune don't because official art shows the girlfriends without them all the time. But for the mother/daughter duo their staffs are like glued to their hands. (Didn't draw Pluto's staff cuz artistic license)
I really enjoyed finally drawing the outers for the first time! Pluto was actually a lot of fun to draw 👀

So far the Akari event seems really cute and like a classic mahou shoujo story, which is a massive relief. IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO BAD but instead it’s just adorable.
Akari’s crush is a dude named Haruto, who is 16 years old. Who does Haruto fall in love with...? Why, none other than the 16-year-old magical girl version of Akari! This is a such a cute classic magical girl setup. I love a love triangle where two of the points are actually the same person lmao
Even more amusingly, Haruto’s fiance is... Yuuna! The girl obsessed with Mami, who apparently is still simping so much for Mami that she doesn’t want anything to do with Haruto (I haven’t read the story, just repeating what I’ve read, so I’m not sure exactly how their interactions go but this sounds hilarious so far).
Hotaru also points out at some point that the age difference between Akari and Haruto is too much, so I don’t think MagiReco is going to go into some creepy route either.
Basically, I’m really glad and relieved that this event wasn’t as bad as we were all worried it could have been. Actually this seems to be such a cute classic-esque meguca story so far-- I really can’t wait for a proper translation to come out.

Question time!
🤡, 😈 🙋‍♀️, 🍷. 💖, 🧐, 🤩, 😬
Okay, that’s quite a lot of questions! Thanks for all of them! Get ready for a wall of text tho!
🤡:
A lot of the banter between the characters regularly make me laugh, as does Messed-Up-Minako (I will really miss her!). As recurring regulars the running gags like Hotaru’s language and SunTzu being reminded of sleeping in the shower still crack me up.
😈:
Most of the story as it did shift from being funny crack into something so serious at times 😂
But honestly I did some of the cliffhangers between chapters just to mess with the readers 😅
🙋‍♀️:
There is few people that do know that I write fanfic but there’s like three people knowing in which fandoms exactly (although SW is very easily to guess if you know me) and I think I never showed anyone links or the names of my fics.
🍷:
Yes, I did write when I was drunk already. And I have to admit some important outlinings of the stories have been written while drunk.
💖:
I had these ideas about SM meets Star Wars and since it was the lockdown and time was plenty I decided to outline something. Fast forward a few weeks/ months and I began writing. This happened about 3 years ago.
🧐:
I do, starts with choosing and searching the right English words (not a native speaker although my English is passable) and goes on with everything else you can imagine (Hyperspace-Routes, medical/ technological/ military hardware, places all around the world, Greek mythology, just to name a few). I guess it made me pop up on some watch lists as well 😅
🤩:
I love writing a snarky Rei or AICA, cocky Haruka and ever-teasing Michiru. But I think my favorite character to write is/ was Messed-Up-Minako, somehow trying to get her shit together and often still fucking up.
😬:
The better question would be which one wouldn’t? 😂
I don’t think people would guess that I would write something like that, in that size and length and using some of those fandoms, along with some of the topics that are used.

What are your favourite side relationships that are non romantic?
I loved, in Mr Sunshine, the relationship between Dong Mae and Hotaru and weirdly it’s made even more beautiful with the fact that she can’t speak which means her own wordless ness conveys a lot. Yes I know many believe that she likes him but as long as it unconfirmed, I will call it platonic
side relationships in that there is no main lead involved at all?
if rolling with mr sunshine, dong mae & hina as well as dong mae & hui seong were A++++
sweet home has a ton!!!
saebyeok and jiyoung from squid game absolutely gutted me and they only hung out for one ep!
danyin & changheng from love between fairy and devil: she's got a thing for him, but they end the series as bros for life and i found that really refreshing that the show averted the "pair the spare" route
the various combinations of friendships from reply 1988 and reply 1997 are always so good. w/ reply 1988 the sibling relationships are great as well
kang mi and ma tan from gaus electronics are a will-they-wont-they duo throughout the drama but omg they were the highlight of an already incredible show for me. the office dynamics in that show were great in general
lots of great secondary relationships in our blues!
cha family in sky castle stole the show for me
tale of nokdu's widow's village/assassination station were great dynamics
happiness has a large cast with a lot of dynamics going on (most of them a hot mess lol)

you and i are the only thing standing between that ugly bastard and a city of two million people. / from cayde... oh red war era? teehee
@adeth is drift compatible.
she has been afraid before.
tomorrow , at dawn , they breach the city. tonight , they sleep in the bones of its shattered walls : some old enough to remember a city without them , some resting in the beans and crevices they once built. emergency bunkers & hiding spots formed at its founding , secret routes used to get in and out by people like the tenacious hawthorne.
& yes, she was afraid when ghaul tried to crush her ghost, afraid when she felt the light be clawed away from her, afraid as she laid broken , dying at the foot of the tower as she & lumax avoided the legion & escaped the city. for the first time in centuries , fear had wormed its way into every atom of her being .
this is a different kind of fear that creeps up hotaru's spine: makes a home in her veins as she looks at cayde , mortal & still brave as ever . still willing to fight . ( willing to die . )
" yeah , we are . " it feels wrong to sit here , imbued with light when everyone around her has lost it. a freak accident, a twist of fate that led her & scant few others to a shard of the dying god. and yet, arms twine around him all the same in a crushing hug, shoulders shaking as the weight of what retaking the city could mean starts to crash upon her.
what she means to say: i'm terrified of losing you . i love you so much & i need you to come back to me. i'd give anything to see you , alive , at the end of all of this : to rebuild a home with you.
what comes out of her mouth: " - & we're going to get through this , like we always do: together . " she buries her face , briefly , into the familiar warmth of his cloak - face turned away from the small fire that she was able to kindle.
" just - please , promise - promise me that ... that we can grab some ramen afterwards . okay ? "

Hotaru and MC are now Kenshin’s nokizaru ninjas. When the sequel is announced I was like ??? because why is there a nokizaru group when there’s only Hotaru. I forgot MC is still considered a ninja who can go on missions. There’s way too many scenes of her just being a herbalist in the routes I kind of mistakenly thought she quit ninja-ing and is just a “herbalist” now.
Two is still not a group, but oh well.
They just got back from a mission and reporting to Kenshin about Hojo. Kenshin gives Hotaru a “hanamaru” (the spirally flower picture) for a job well done. He has this sheet for the flowers, and Kenshin promised him to let him ask whatever he wants if he fills up the flower sheet.
... Yeah, so this is what primary or kindergarten teachers do with their students. Like, if they get a perfect score in tests or homework they get a hanamaru. My school used to do something similar with gold sticker stars. This kind of feels weird for me TBH. For me it’s just not cute when a love interest who is ostensibly "of age” is acting like or being treated like an infant (Ikesen Mitsunari kind of has the same problem).
Hotaru says he doesn’t want anything more, because his life is really great right now and says MC can have the wish when he fills up the Hanamaru.
Later, after a big dinner, MC sees Hotaru receiving a letter. And then sometime later, a crow drops another letter. I thought it was Utsusemi (Saizo’s crow), but Hotaru says it’s not. It’s from the village. I wonder if this is a Momochi thing LOL.
MC gets worried and asked Hotaru if she can see it, but Hotaru says he never reads them and had thrown all of those letter away. Kaede comes to visit and MC tells him about the Iga letters.
Everything is sus, but yeah, nothing to do for now since Hotaru destroyed them all and they can’t see what the letter says.

“We can watch whatever you want.. it’s your house.” Hotaru said softly, curling up and hugging her knees. Her phone was buzzing. She looked down to see Iruka’s name popping up a few times. Itachi’s name nowhere in sight.
She felt a little sad, mostly numb. It was being in sort of relationship purgatory. It was bad… but she still loved him. Maybe this was their final challenge before marriage?
“How are you and Shizune?” She asked, trying to get her mind off of things.
- @hotaru-sarutobi 🌷
“It’s your distraction. How about something not serious?” Yukio clicked through to the movies and picked something cozy without much relationship focus.
He glances over at her phone and her expression. “Don’t think about it right now.”
His own phone went off. He looked. Jiraiya was on his way home and took the scenic route to make sure he wasn’t tailed. Dramatic but he appreciated it.

Jdorama 2023 Spring
Kyojo 0 (12.1) / 教場0風間公親 Stars: Kimura Takuya and others
I’ve been looking forward to this drama even before it screened 🙈 I LOVED the SPs. The format of the series looks like it's different. The SPs intercut between several key characters, forcing you to keep track of several narrative threads at once, meaning it's a bit of a cognitive challenge to stay alert for the whole 4 hours, but it's also a format I quite enjoyed because the interactions between students are key to the story. The series seems to go the classic episodic police procedural route. The opening episode has Akaso Eiji and none of the other big names, and I wonder if this means the students won't interact.
Sometimes the messaging in the SP is a bit murky, but the first episode managed well. Kazama quickly picks apart several flaws that makes Urihara a dangerous policeman: not noticing key details, jumping to conclusions, thinking he can talk someone into a confession without having enough evidence, lying to a suspect about key evidence, precipitating a young child's asthma in order to get the father to confess.
Ultimately, Kyoujo is supposed to be a crime solver and not commentary on the police system, but I do find the reflections on ethics interesting. The situations are ethically ambiguous, and the series rarely offers a "model answer", but what it does is to tease out the biases individual policemen can bring to their work and how that could lead to harm...and I think that's a very worthwhile examination.
Watashi no Oyome-kun / My Mr. Bride / わたしのお嫁くん Stars: Haru, Takasugi Mahiro
Haru is seriously getting typecast in these OL dramas...and the personalities are all kind of the same. Based on manga, this is about a woman who is excellent at her work and a man who is excellent at housework, and how they, presumably, live together in subversion of traditional Japanese gender roles.
There's been quite a few dramas lately about career women who can't manage housework finding a male partner who is good at it. It's interesting to watch the progression of the attitude through the years - when Nodame Cantabile and Hotaru no Hikari screened back maybe 10 years ago, Nodame's messiness was a tool for humour, and Hotaru's lack of grooming AT HOME was treated self-deprecatingly as laziness. In Watashi no Kaseifu Nagisa-san from 2020, though, while there was some comedy in Mei's messiness, it was much more matter-of-fact about the fact that yes, as a full-time (+overtime), high-achieving, hard-working career woman, she couldn't also attend to her domestic cleaning, and compromises had to be made.
And this drama continues that trend and is a little more frank about the discussions. Why should a woman who is good at her sales job - by regularly preempting and meeting customer expectations - be constantly told that she would make a good bride instead of being appreciated for being an excellent sales rep? Why should a woman feel like being a good housewife is the lifetime achievement rather than being good at her job? Why should a two-income household where both partners hold demanding jobs expect the housework to fall onto the woman?
This is supposed to be a romcom, so inevitably amatonormativity doesn't come into the discussions (especially since Japan wants to increase its marriage and birth rates). But to do that, Japanese culture is likely to need an overhaul on its gender roles, especially as more and more women find that they are more fulfilled by staying in the workforce than marrying off to become a housewife, where they get no respect, no social contact and a husband who has no appreciation of how much work they do.

The Song of Shadow/ Latest Ninja events: A rant!
I think these events all began marking the anniversary of the moon arc or shadow arc of the app. and since then have been continuing, showing us the darker more sinister side of the shinobi world. With the new circumstances were introduced new characters. Some friends, some foes.
Sakuya's events began featuring a bright, spirited youngman Mitsu. While Gen's features a dangerous ninja who likes to say he's a painter: Eitoku. Eitoku wants Gen for himself for unknown reasons. Once again in the recent events Gen and MC encounter him again, but this time around he saves them, quoting, "You cant be wasted on others. Your life is mine and mine alone, Genya Fujibayashi."
Saku's opponents get stronger in the latest event as well. Mysterious ninja employs a band of other ninjas to route out Saku who's somewhat immune to a strange ninja technique that turns him into a puppet. Saku loses it in the fight and even turns his Kunai on the MC before finally coming to his senses. killings are rampant in the town, people dying as these ninjas employ strange ninja techniques. the mystery is still unsolved. danger is all around. Saku and MC are both wanted by the Iga.
then in Kyo's path, we encounter Iori, a koka ninja, who's meek and is always criticising himself coming to Kyo's side. He's the survivor of the strange killings of the Koka ninjas. For unknown reasons the koka ninjas are being hunted down. In the latest event, The Killers are closer than ever. They hurt Raita even and Kyo is enraged. Yet again another ninja leader is slain but the mastermind remains. And so does danger. Iori is determined to stay with Kyo, grow stronger to protect his people. Sasuke, Shima, Kyo, Iori and MC are fighting this battle of survival.
Hotaru and MC have been running into danger. With the old man Sandayu playing games with the duo, the danger has only multiplied. There's no telling what happens next.
Masanari and MC have it rough too. And Sasuke and MC... Well things are usual for them but Shinobi life is dangerous, as is. And MC and her clan are deserters. I also love how MC is getting stronger in her fights and is training with these men, always steadfast and inspiring them. Their bond has evolved so much, it's the most endearing thing
Once again the sinister side of ninja world is exposed in all of these events. Voltage is doing such a good job with these plotlines and the new ninja NPCs (yes they've been around for a while but they are newer compared to old ones) are all amazing. I surely hope these events will continue so we can see the end of it. And I hope these NPCs one day get their event stories, they would be hella interesting
While it is sad that the ninja sequels and certain routes haven't come to us English players, I am hanging on to these events. I wish we get to see the end of it

HEADCANONS
Tumblr media
Commander Hotaru.
tagged by: @fasciinating (sort of lol)
—    basics.
is your muse tall/short/average?   If you know one thing about Hotaru, it is that he is tall. He's 6'6.
are they okay with their height? Ambivalent. It helps gives him authority and a commanding, intimidating presence. But it is also way taller than average so he sticks out, he will never be truly anonymous or be able to blend into a crowd. Or go undercover. See below.
what’s their hair like?    Okay, if you know one thing about Hotaru, it could possibly also be that he has long, beautiful, snow-white head hair. It's not like old people hair which is dry and rough, it's shiny and silky, and somewhat ethereal. It also makes him stick out. But his eyebrows and the rest of his hair is a normal black just like a normal Seidan. Not saying that Hotaru isn’t normal.
do they spend a lot of time on their hair/grooming? Honestly he doesn't. He's gorgeous and he's just like naturally like that. Dude barely throws his hair in a half-ponytail. Asshole.
does your muse care about their appearance/what others think? Yes, but not because of vanity. He has to look the part that he plays - the sentinel of order, the defense of the nation, the commander, the hand of the Senate, the enforcer, the hero, the devoted. And also, there’s a small nagging part of him that doesn’t like the fact he looks so . . . abnormal.
—    preferences
indoors or outdoors? Outdoors. There are no fucking ceilings outdoors.
rain or sunshine?    Sunshine. The rain is Seido is hazardous. The water is toxic. Please remain indoors.
forest or beach?   Forest. When you're in a forest you can see up close the cycles of nature working in perfect harmony.
precious metals or gems? Well, they're both everywhere, so . . . metals tend to have more practical applications and are much easier to work with to create structures, tools, weapons, and machines. That includes gold, silver, and platinum.
flowers or perfumes?  Flowers. Nature knows what it’s doing.
personality or appearance?    Personality. If you look like a warrior but you are weak-willed, then what's the point? Any opponent worth anything will not be deterred simply by your appearance. They will test your mettle, so you better have some.
being alone or in a crowd? Being alone. When he's alone he doesn't have to talk. He doesn't have to solve everybody else's problems. He doesn't have to tolerate. Hotaru is borderline misanthropic.
order or anarchy? Are you fucking kidding me? Get out of Seido.
painful truths or white lies? Hotaru is not a politician, he's not a diplomat. Lies of any sort tend to cause chaos, no matter how little, because they build on each other and snowball out of control. You have to remember them. You don't have to remember the truth. But Hotaru has never done anything close to spying or undercover work. He can’t pass for anybody but himself.
science or magic? They're intertwined in developed realms. This is an Earthrealm question.
peace or conflict?   Everything the Seidan Guard does is for eventual peace.
night or day?    Less serious crime happens during the day.
dusk or dawn? Who cares?
warmth or cold?    Cold. You can always put more layers on, but at a certain point you can't take any more off.
many acquaintances or a few close friends?    A few  acquaintances. Let nobody close, ever. Hotaru had friends once. It was awful.
reading or playing a game? Reading.
—    questionnaire.
what are some of your muse’s bad habits? His worst habits are swearing under  his breath, rolling his eyes (because nobody can see it) and almost compulsively throwing shade.
has your muse lost anyone close to them? How has it affected them? Well, nobody close to him has died, with the exception of Dairou’s family, but he had friends once. They betrayed him, betrayed the Guard, and betrayed Seido. They are still alive.
what are some fond memories your muse has?  Not becoming the head of the guard, that wasn't a good time. Routing the Tarkatan army at Lei Chen was a good time though.
is it easy for your muse to kill? Extremely easy. Absolutely. Without question. Without hesitation. Some people deserve to die; other people simply need to. That being said, there are certain types of people who might make him hesitate (innocent children, for instance), but if you give him the order . . .
is your muse capable of trusting someone with their life? He trusts his fellow guardsmen with his life, absolutely. And he trusts them to not save him if doing so is strategically sub-optimal.
what’s your muse like when they’re in love? It’s never happened and never will. I can’t even theorize what it would be like.
