keep seeing posts ab tamaki suoh’s influence on baby weeb adrien (ty @anna-scribbles) but I think they’re all weebs here’s what I think they would dress up as for Halloween (adrien: tamaki suoh (ohshc), marinette: sailor moon, alya: gon freecs (hxh), nino: tanjiro (demon slayer))

adrien: I think he would enjoy a lot of “old” animes esp stuff like fruits basket like I think these would hold a lot of nostalgia for him I can definitely see him enjoying animes like horimiya (esp bc of that secret identity element) but like . maybe horror/thrillers as well like i think he would enjoy the promised neverland

marinette: i want to say shoujo like I definitely see her watching shoujo and obviously sailor moon elements in her transformation but I think that’s more of a comfort anime for her? I think Marinette would enjoy shounen works as well especially ones that kind of toe the line (ex. Sk8 the infinity). i think she would really like darling in the Franx as well (robot mechs and romance what is not to like—fits with her mecha strike obsession too)

alya: definitely action packed animes especially long ones I see her enjoying jjk, hunter x hunter, bsd and again definitely anything with a superhero component like bnha but I also see her enjoying action-comedies like spyxfamily

nino: big shounen fan, like definitely watched every ep of Naruto and dragon ball z as a kid and I see him gravitating towards fantasy action like demon slayer and chainsaw man. he definitely watched one piece methinks

Like Izumi, you're cold and disinterest but with Alastor, you're more expressive and warm. Like Kyoko, Alastor puts up a charismatic and dramatic front to the demons around him, but with you, he's sweeter and more vulnerable

Sora & Shiro ; from No Game No Life. Alastor's Sora and you're Shiro. You're similar to Shiro with the crazy skill of learning and clever nature. While Alastor's like Sora, more manipulative with words and tricks soul into agree with him and make deals

Tanjiro & Nezuko ; from Demon Slayer. Okay, Alastor's definitely Tanjiro here and you're Nezuko. Alastor taking care of your every need is similar to Tanjiro carrying Nezuko around. Then you being protective of Alastor is also similar to how Nezuko defends Tanjiro

here is a scrap !!!! you know that kiss scene from horimiya where they’re eating candy and all that stuff? ok, but imagine it with robin… i’m literally squealing inside just thinkin about it.

it had been two hours since school ended, the sun already setting for the day, and you were sat on the floor of steve harrington’s living room in front of the flimsy halloween bucket he just had poured out on the coffee table, various types of candy clattering against the wood. robin was seated right next to you, inspecting the variety of confections scattered just before her in awe. steve still didn’t know about your relationship with robin. it had really only started recently, after robin had confessed the moment she found out you liked girls and honestly, she just hadn’t found the perfect time to tell her best friend about it yet. instead, she’s here making fun of him.

while complaining that he was too old for halloween festivities, steve nevertheless came along with dustin to gather as much candy as they could just for, well, fun. and of course, robin wouldn’t leave him alone about it.

“can’t believe you went trick or treating,” robin laughed, using her fingers to pick out the candy she liked. “what are you? like thirty?”

steve rolls his eyes and snatches a twix bar from the messy pile, “you’re absolutely hilarious, robin.”

“i think it’s sweet that you went trick or treating with dustin,” you smile, patting robin’s thigh with you hand as she turns her head, squinting at you, visibly showing you that it made her a little jealous.

“see, rob? chicks love a man who likes kids! i’m like… the most kid-loving man ever.” steve exclaims with his mouth full of chocolate, throwing the wrapper back into the bucket.

“probably wise to use a different set of words there, harrington.”

you find yourself lost in rummaging quietly through the pile of candy on the table, trying to find something out of the ordinary, something new, as you subconsciously tuned out steve and robin’s bickering, failing to notice steve had walked away to his room to go grab something real quick. after a couple seconds of searching, you found a small piece of candy with letters you couldn’t quite make out but you decided to pop it into your mouth anyway.

it was something you regretted instantly, as the piece sits in your mouth, tasteless and bitter. and robin’s watching you carefully, scooting closer towards you until her leg and the side of her body touched yours. she could see the discomfort in your face as she watched your mouth, causing her lips to curve into bright smile almost immediately. how could someone be so adorable? so… delectable? she would never know the reason behind it, only that that someone was always you.

“what flavor is that one?” robin asks, still mindlessly staring at your lips. it’s distracting; how soft they looked, how kissable they looked, how you would stick your tongue out only slightly to keep them from getting dry.

“i don’t even know. it’s just bitter?” you tell her honestly, still trying to decipher what was written on the wrapper. “it’s not good, though. i kinda hate it.”

“oh.”

and there was a moment of silence that followed right after. you don’t pay too much attention to it as you continue to inspect the torn plastic. you wonder what robin is thinking at the moment, knowing very well that she’d usually have more to say about things during every occasion but you were suddenly pulled out of your daze when you feel something warm and soft pressing against your mouth and all you could see was light brown hair.

robin sighs into your lips, darting her tongue out lightly to run it along your bottom lip and instinctively, your mouth opens as she tilts her head more to the side. you can feel her tongue inside of your mouth, roaming all over in search for something while pushing it against your own tongue and you can’t help but moan against her, knees feeling weak and your stomach fluttering as robin continues to kiss you.

she gives your tongue one last suck the moment she hears heavy footsteps coming from the stairs before pulling away completely. and you just sat there, mouth empty, breathlessly staring at her as if you were hypnotized.

“i think you taste better,” robin whispers lowly against your lips. there’s a tantalizing smile on her face as she stares back at you, before scooting away, clearly chewing on something.

fuck. you watch robin stand, muttering something along the lines of going to get water, and then, brushing shoulders with steve who had just returned from his bedroom to grab some vinyl record of a tears for fears album to slot onto his record player by his television. you sat there in awe as you stared down at the wrapper in your hand, mind thinking endlessly of robin’s tongue in your mouth. oh, you’d do anything for her to do that to you again and again and again.

“uh, you okay there, (y/n)?” the sound of steve’s voice pulls you back into reality although the memory of what happened a minute ago was still freshly running and replaying in your mind.

“what?” you say, blinking up at him as you play with the wrapper in between your fingers. “i- i’m good, steve.”

steve shrugs and plops down onto the couch, “okay, just makin’ sure. also, your lipstick’s a bit smudged.”

“yeah, um. she stole my candy.”

you clear your throat and turn your head away from him, fighting the smile that played on your lips as you bring your hand up to fix your make up.

and you know very well that it won’t be long until he puts two and two together.

Tickletober Day 30: Halloween party/costumes

Ft. Horimiya

"H-Hori-san I feel... I feel a bit stuffy..."

"Well, you're wearing more clothes than usual, Miyamura," she said, chuckling as she fixed Miyamura's shirt.

Hori checked the clock on her desk. She was almost done fixing Miyamura's clothes and she just needed to put on her hat to be ready for the Halloween party they had that night.

She was excited. Hori rarely went out with friends, so going out to parties was really an event that she looked forward to. It was her first time at a costume party too and she was happy with the one she had chosen. Her witch dress was black with blue and white accents and her black hat had a little pumpkin hanging from the tip. She even got a broom and a little imitation oil lamp that went very well with her costume.

Miyamura, on the other hand, was dressing like a vampire. Slacks, button down shirt with small embellishments on the button line, a vest, and on Hori's bed laid his long cloak.

As Hori helped him fix his shirt and vest, she couldn't help but think that Miyamura looked kinda very good with this costume. His clothes hug his body in all the good ways possible. He looked elegant and if he had accepted Hori combing half of his hair back, she thought he would have looked even better, but just now it was enough for her heart to do little somersaults and-

"Hahahah, H-Hori-san! That's tihihicklish!"

Hori was surprised to hear Miyamura giggles as she now fixed the neck of his shirt, her thumbs brushing against his warm skin, causing him to shrug his shoulders up.

Hori grinned, "now, are vampires supposed to be so ticklish, Miyamura?" She teased, her nails dragging against the sides of his neck, making him giggle more and shake his head.

"I- I dohohon't know, buhuhut I ahaham!"

Hori laughed, "I can see that, but you're gonna make us be late to the party!" She said, now wiggling her fingers behind his neck.

Miyamura threw his head back with a bark of laughter as his hands closed around Hori's wrists, weakly trying to push her hands away.

"H-Hohohow cohohome?"

"Because now I want to tickle you more!"

Miyamura gasped, "nohoho, Hori-san! That's not fahahair- ah!"

In an attempt to escape Hori's tickly fingers, he took a few steps back, but the back of his knees hit the edge of her bed and he unceremoniously fell on top of it, Hori quickly following him as her hands sneaked under his arms.

Miyamura shrieked with laughter, arching his back and tilting his head back. "HOHORIHI-SAHAN! Nohohoho!"

"Ah, I'm glad I haven't forgotten your sweet spot, Miyamura!" She teased, her fingers wiggling vigorously under Miyamura's arms, making him squirm and laugh hysterically. "Aren't you glad too?"

Miyamura shook his head. "Nohohoho! K-Kyokohoho! You d-dahahamn wohohomahan, stohohop this ihihinsta- AHAHAHA!"

Hori laughed when Miyamura couldn't finish his sentence. She clearly knew he was trying to bully her to convince her to stop, but Miyamura was going to have to try a little harder.

"Look what you did, Miyamura! We're very late now!"

"Thehehen stohohop, plehehehase!"

Hori hummed, grinning at seeing his laughing face. "I'll stop if you let me do your hair. What do you say?"

"Buhuhut Hohohori-sahahan! We'll behehe even mohohore lahahahate! Plehehease! No mohohore!"

"Doesn't matter! Let me do you hair or I won't-

"FIHIHINE! Fihihine! Plehehehase stohohop nohohow!"

Hori giggled, noticing tears of laughter clinging to Miyamura's eyelashes. "Ah, so dramatic you are! It's just a bit of tickling, Miyamura," she said, playfully rolling her eyes as her fingers finally stopped and she pulled her hands out from under his arms.

"Hohohori-sahan," he giggled breathlessly. "Wehehe'll be lahate for the paharty."

Hori grinned. "Yes, yes, I know. Now let's finish up right now. C'mon," she said as she stood up. "Let me help you fix your clothes."

"Nohoho! I'll doho it myself!"

Hori laughed. Ah, yes, she already knew that night would be a good one as long as Miyamura was with her!

If I see another person say Shōjo is "just romance," I'm literally going to implode.

Shōjo isn't a genre. It's a demographic like Shōnen. Whereas Shōnen is a demographic aimed at boys and young men, Shōjo is aimed at girls and young women. That's literally it! Just a demographic!

There are romance series that are Shōnen, like Horimiya, and there are action series that are Shōjo, like Basara.

Men also like romance and women also like action. Shōnen isn't "the action genre," and Shōjo isn't "the romance genre," they're just demographics that have a wide array of genres within them

Also, casual reminder that a lot Junji Ito's works were published as Jōsei and Tomie was published in a Shōjo Magazine called Monthly Halloween, just to really drive it home that Shōjo isn't just, "Pink and sparkles because girls!"
