(SPOILERS) Absolutely LOVE how the lore behind the Heroes Rising movie is that, it was Horikoshis idea for the ending of the story proper, "until he got a better idea"

Absolutely LOVE how the idea for his ending prior to changing it was Izuku and Katsuki fighting TOGETHER in a culmination of their entire relationship to defeat Shig/AFO, something I and probably everyone who even remotely likes the relationship was dying to see in the climax of the story.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE how when we finally arrive to the final war, Izuku gets sidelined, Katsuki has to carry on alone, Katsuki gets brutalized, and KILLED by ShigAFO, and hasn't woken up yet (it's been 84 years)

I love how Horikoshi looked at Heroes Risings plot, with EVERYTHING that happens in that movie between katsuki and Izuku and said "Haha wait I can do this better" and next thing we know, Kacchan is dead on the ground and Izuku had to fight on alone

(And then you have Stain in this chapter...Toga in another....)

Ok this is mostly just wishful thinking also I’m ugly sobbing while writing this so don’t expect too much

We all know that a thing that bnha does is giving each major hero a villain counterpart that they will set out to save. i.e. izuku & tenko, ochako & toga. some might argue that since hawks and dabi are not exactly main characters, they will not follow this pattern. But both of them have recently proved to be actually crucial as characters and to the storyline; hawks is the no.2 hero that as a matter of fact out performed the no.1, and hori devoted three chapters to dabi’s fight with his brother which didn’t even come to a proper end. I would say that hori put very much care into these characters; he would possibly care about them enough to give them this “save/be saved” storyline respectively. 

Since hawks said that he saw himself in twice, we were all driven to think that maybe the villain counterpart he ended up saving was twice. He said himself that he had wanted to save twice; but we all know that’s not how things ended. he didn’t save his supposed villain counterpart, but killed him. his “save/be saved” storyline with twice has failed. 

We all thought shoto was going to be the one who saved dabi, but look. Dabi is back into the fight without showing any sign of remorse. I’m not saying that the todobros fight is entirely pointless, because it IS very important, but this also showed that shoto didn’t save dabi. Yes, he saved his brother’s life, but he didn’t save Touya from his villainy, his hatred, his anger, and his will to die. Touya wasn’t redeemed. Therefore, dabi’s “save/be saved” storyline with shoto has resulted in a temporary failure, too. 

Dabihawks, on the other hand, had been set up as character foils since day 1. at this point it seems like all they do would be keep foiling each other without interacting ever again. Like lines that run parallel to each other but never intersect. But perhaps we could still have a little hope that it isn’t the case, that their foiling storylines would ultimately intertwine with each other once more. They r both the first to know each other’s real name, after all these years; in this sense, touya was the first in the world to know hawks as keigo, and keigo was the first in the world to know dabi as touya. the emphasis on “deku/izuku” and “tomura/tenko” let us know that names in bnha are directly related to one’s inner self, often the self that needs to be saved. hawks and dabi are inarguably the first to SEE each other’s true self, the self that needs to be saved. what I’m trying to say is that there is no way in hell to just overlook the significance of dabihawks revealing their true names at the same time, in the presence of each other, to see it as another loose end hori didn’t remember to tie. 

Unintentionally or intentionally, dabihawks are now given the opportunity to be in the same range of battlefield again, with dabi seeking out endeavor, and hawks needing endeavor’s aid in defeating afo. Neither of their “save/be saved“ storyline has had a satisfying end, so it might just be possible that they, as perfectly written narrative foils, will enter each other’s story again; there might just be a chance that Dabi is the Shigaraki to Hawks’s Izuku, the Toga to his Uraraka. thx for coming to my ted talk.

he's not usually so.. open with his emotions. that's the first thing that catches her attention when she stands before him, unable to say anything at first. this war.. it was hard on everyone. honestly, they were all still recovering from the aftermath of it. it was no wonder they were all on edge.

had she been reckless in the fight against gigantomachia? .. no. she.. got scared. froze. and kirishima had to save her. she was supposed to be training to become a pro hero! yet, seeing a childhood villain, and connecting the dots was enough to cause her to break down and not to mention.. well, that was a thought for another day.

sclera eyes finally lift slowly to look at tokoyami. " ... i'm sorry. " she admits, with a bow of her head, pink hair falling to frame her face. mina doesn't lift her head, instead she tilts it to the side to glance at dark shadow. a hand lifts to pet him, but mina decides against it and let's it fall back to her side with a breathless sigh.

" can we just.. not talk about it anymore? it's been hard enough around here.. we're all stressed, and we're all tired. " her eyes meet tokoyami's once more. as she thinks back to his own heroics she'd had to hear details on from everyone else. with a hand on her hip, mina's lips fall into a thin line. " besides, it's not like you did any better. charging in after hawks?! dabi could've!! -- !! " arms crossed mina decides it's better to make something akin to stifled huff than it is to continue to berate him.

taking a breath, mina shakes her head and takes a few steps and pulls tokoyami into a sudden hug, " just shut up about it, okay!? " she manages through frustrated grumbles. " we're gonna be heroes, right? and sometimes that means we gotta do the stuff that no one else can do! if it means taking risks to protect someone else, than i'm okay with that! " with a pause, mina feels tears prick at the corners of her eyes and that's when she grips tokoyami's cape tighter.

suddenly the anger leaves her voice, and she's not shouting anymore either. " let's just.. both promise to be more careful next time, okay? i'm.. not okay with losing you, either you know. "

the bakugo "2nd ofa user" theory

so since the chapter 362 has been released, i watched a bunch of ytb videos reacting to it and making theories, i discovered the "bakugo 2nd ofa user" theory! lemme explain it to y'all;

i don't know if this theory could be canon bc there's a lot of coherences and inconsistencies, lol

but i think that this theory is very intresting, that's why i'm sharing it

there's a lot of things that are unknown about the 2nd ofa user. his quirk, how he died, his identity, his job when he was alive, etc... but we see him coaching izuku frequently :0 in the my hero wiki it says that at the start he wasn't agreeing about izuku having ofa, but yoichi convinced him.

in addition of the mystery about his identity, he kind of... look like bakugo according to me (spiky hair, red eyes, he his using a gauntlet just like bkg does, etc)

anyways so here's what we know about him. now, what we saw about bakugo...

if you saw the "heroes rising" movie, katsuki used ofa, before giving it back to izuku for some reasons. because of that, is his consciousness somehow a part of the ofa since he used it?

plus, how, i mean HOW did bakugo see in the white space (chapter 362) the same ghost/spirit of all might that is present in izuku's ofa dreams? is it bc he did had ofa?

also in the back we see 2nd user's spirit (behind all might's spirit)

why did hori hide him in the beginning if he was about to interact with izuku later? like?

i was saying that there's some inconsistencies, here's why:

if bakugo is really the 2nd user, that would mean that he did a time travel, but yknow, the manga is in its final arc, and i think that adding time travel to this story would be too much if u see what i mean

so that would make more sense if bakugo is only blood-related to the 2nd user or his reincarnation.

the more i'm writing this, the more i get confused and tell myself "wait no that make no sense" 😭

Can I just.... for one minute, take this journey with me:

Ok imagine. IMAGINE the breakdown, if Katsuki Comes back, escapes his post-resuscitation care via Mirio and BJ, finds Izuku, helps Izuku defeat Shigaraki in whatever way he is able to...but Izuku takes a lot of damage in the process...

IMAGINE THE BREAKDOWN that Katsuki would have, Izuku collapses close to death, (maybe, hopefully spills some guts about his feelings to him) and loses consciousness, and it's not really clear if he's ok or going to make it, and for all intents and purposes, Katsuki thinks that this could very well be Izukus death....

Imagine him LOSING IT because how fucking CRUEL for he himself to die only to be brought back, and for Izuku to ACTUALLY DIE. HOW UNFAIR. He doesn't deserve that kindness from the Universe and from Edgeshot if Izuku is lost for real.

"Why are you still asleep when I'm wide awake" from the hospital scene, but SO MUCH MORE EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.

Screaming, crying, throwing up.

Imagine him just screaming, begging someone to help him like he was helped, to SAVE IZUKU Instead, yelling as if to be yelling at death itself, to take him back in Izukus place. That he would go back into that void, if it meant Izuku would be ok.

This would be so tragic but so damn POTENT MY GOD

...hopefully Katsuki passes out just as help is arriving and he knows nothing else until he wakes up in the hospital again but with someone's scarred hand warm in his own and squeezing so gently....
