Etho LPS EVERY ethogirl needs to watch

- his lp. This is a given. From episode 1 to episode 500-and-something. Watch them all. (This is a task not even I have completed but BY GOD I WILL DO IT SOMEDAY)

- legendary. I'm bias bc I've seen this lp like 50+ times but TRUST ME it's so fucking good

- mindcrack season 3. And season 4 if you want rhat one was pretty good too. TW for mindcrack s3 tho the r slur gets used by other members sometimes, so i understand if you don't want to watch it. Other than that, many many great moments

yep! we’re the gumybrain system! bc. we’re all gumy brain. it’s a very creative and original name as you can tell

and our confirmed members are:

me, gumy (she/her). i’m here about 99% of the time. when the other guys show up it’s more like they’re in shotgun seat.

grace (it/they). rarely comes out and mainly does so to prevent harm or neglect to the body. doesn’t like me.

will/nat (he/they). does the driving when we need to go places. gives us headaches bc he glared and wrinkles the forehead all the time. likes lovejoy. is a little bitch

thunder god joel (he/him). a fictive from empires smp season 2. very egotistical, but he means well.

ethan slab (any). an introject of minecraft youtuber ethoslab. likes puns.

hey!! :3 do u have any reccs for hermits to try out?? ive been watching since s6, but i only ever kept up with mumbo&grian and i wanna show more love to other hermits, BUT.... idk where to start!! :o

each one of the hermits have their own vibe! depending on what kind of style of video you like - if ur branching out from mumbo and grian i highly recommend watching scar, ren, etho, tango, or zedaph!

scar’s videos are relatively chill, with a good portion of terraforming/building timelapses and other shenanigans with the hermits. earlier in the season, he had quite a few interactions/videos with grian - currently, he’s collabing quite a bit with bdubs!

ren’s editing (imo) is probably one of the bests in the hermits - he’s currently doin an entire storyline with the Renpire, a star wars spin-off kind of thing! if that interests you i’d recommend taking a look at his vids (even if you dont know anything abt star wars its still very very interesting to watch)

etho this season is pure bastard energy, he has lots of interaction with beef recently, working on his noteblock stuff as an. ahem. employee. Otherwise he pretty much likes to cause problems on purpose. (be prepared to witness noteblock wizardry)

tango is high energy! his entire theme this season is cartoon-y stuff, and his commentary reflects that. he has plenty of interactions with a variety of the hermits! if you think mumbo’s farms lag the server, you rly gotta take a look at tango’s -inators this season... he’s also one of the boomers so ur gonna be seeing a lot of fun interactions with bdubs, impulse, and any of his clients!

zedaph has one braincell but its a very good one - this season he’s focused on making his Cave of Contraptions(tm), a big cave in a mountain he dug up filled with redstone contraptions that do a Thing in the most unconventional and fun way possible! Every single zedaph episode feels like a fever dream but in the best way possible. (also his intro is an absolute BANGER)

back for a third time let's go. it's ya girlboy, 💻non. i've been thinking so much regarding the literacy of the hermits on the hermitcraft server, and i've decided through reasoning that's there multiple different types of literacy on the server, ranked by primarily two things

- how old you are ( this is less " are you a baby or an adult? " and more " what century were you born in? how many HUNDREDS of years have you been around? "

- species/celestial ties ( people who belong to the void versus humans, hybrids versus watchers, etc., )

most people have the " basic " literacy level, which is what we hear as english/german/any language that we as the audience can interpret in this given time with or without a translator. human language! and most people can and will use this language to communicate with each other. it's like most countries knowing / mandating english ( which is bullshit but i digress ), most people are taught or know the basic literacy level

there's a lot of other sublanguages / sub... literacy? levels? at the higher-up/celestial ties category. watchers have a whole thing to them, and have a whole other realm of language. most watchers stick to using this language to speak/write/etc., and some other species / celestial ties know this language ( really any sort of higher-up being would know it, some have other twists to it, think similar looking languages that are actually completely different )

hybrids also have different types of languages! i won't go too much into detail with it, but depending on what kind of hybrid you are, you likely have some sort of language, spoken, that corresponds with what the species sounds like ( for example, creeper hyrbids might have a series of hissing sounds, canines would be more barking/growling, etc., )

and then there's older speak! it's like uhh -- enchanting table language :) it's the equivalent of latin, considered a dead language but it's still taught (this is why enchanting table still appears on the table ( granted, with translation help from watchers ), and villagers know it -- also can't really be Spoken (at least, not nowadays. as far as a lot of communities know, there's not any native speakers!). however, there are native enchanting table language speakers in hermitcraft ^_^ since language technically comes from this language, most people who are native to older speak can understand bits and pieces of other languages as well! ( but it's not always super accurate )

to end this nicely, here is a list i've made of speakers of what

baseline/common language:

- i'm not listing all of the hermits individually, but all of the hermits know this :) ( save for wels, to keep up with the joke here )

hybrid languages:

uhh the hybrids. ren, doc, python, gem, grian, etc and so forth! i can't think of all the animal hybrids on the server WAA i'm gonna put the undead here though too so cleo as well :D

celestial ties

grian + pearl ( both know the ones the watchers use, grian is more up to date with it, pearl is a bit rusty )

keralis ( it's unsure what language it is, but it sure is! the admins, wels, and tfc can understand and speak it back pretty well, but all that keralis has cleared is that it's not the old speak / older language -- so it's some sort of Different Language )

olderspeak

- wels, tfc, ethoslab (native)

- biffa, admins, joehills (non-native)

honorable mentions

- joehills ( he's made.. his own. language. out of the older speak (not native, but very fluent-) and some other languages he's picked up. it's the joehills difference babey! )

- bdubs! ( it's a mix of a bunch of languages as well, definitely sounds like gibberish, nobody ever knows what he's saying )

another additional tidbit from a friend: communicators come with translators :D

another additional from a friend: additionally, biffa can understand most languages! he's a funky robot, and he can translate similar to the communicators

Get me started on how everyone is scared of the cryptid that is Etho during the life series and yet Etho is TERRIFIED (/j ofc) of Cleo, I beg of you!

And now think about how Cleo is now mother to two of the (arguably) most chaotic people in every single season.

(Think Scar dying a lot n being on red first during third life, BDubs being a dramatic home wrecker in double life)

Like I know it wont translate to fighting or handiwork with traps, but the mind games that could be done!! Think about it! BDubs is a home wrecker and Scar’s still stuck in that ring and trying to flee all ties to that very first win he could have had. He’s the one that betrayed BDubs in the end, not Grian. Adding Cleo in is a good deterrent, but who’s to say when someone die? What if she dies first?

Siblings fight, y’know. Parents can’t stop that no matter how hard they try.
