Genre/warnings: bodyguard! Joochan x celebrity reader, fluff, slight harm is done to the reader but it’s nothing too bad

A/n: here’s another bodyguard golcha imagine. thanks to the anon fro this request, I hope that you like it!

“Unfortunately guys, that’s all the time that we have today. Why don’t we give a big round of applause for our guest, Y/n!” You give the audience your best smile as you bid them a goodbye and walk off the set. As you make your way back to the dressing room, you make sure to thank all the staff for their hard work, making eye contact with a special someone, leaving a small smile on your face.

When you get back to the dressing room, you thank your own staff for their hard work as they pack up the room. One by one, they slowly leave the room, leaving you all alone, but that only lasts for a few moments when you hear a soft knock at your door. Looking up through the mirror in front of you, a smile pops up on your face as Joochan walks closer to you. “Hey there.”

“Hi.”

“You looked good out there.” He says to you. The small compliment leaves you blushing. “Do I not look good all the time?” you ask him teasingly. Chuckling from behind you, he ducks his head down and whispers in your ear, “You always look good.” Playfully you push him away while checking to make sure that no one was seeing your interaction.

It wasn’t like your relationship was a secret, well, at least between your staff it wasn’t, but if word got out that you were dating your own bodyguard then you know that the internet would have lots to say. Getting up from your chair, you let him lead you to the door, “C’mon, it’s time to go.”

As you and your team make your way out of the studio, you are bombarded by your fans. Of course the security team does the best that they can to keep them away from you, but just as you are about to make your way into your van, a fan slips through the barricade and desperately grabs onto you, attempting to pull you into them.

Trying to ignore the pain, you do best effort to rid the fan off of you, hitting them in an attempt to let you go. “Ow, you’re hurting me.” In the next second, the tight grip releases your arm, and you don’t see what has happened to the “fan,” but you do hear it. The sound of a person hitting the ground could be heard, and before you could turn around and see what has occurred, your manager rushes you into the van.

Once you’re settled in the van, the driver drives off and your manager asks if you’re okay. Without saying a word, you give her a nod. She asks you again while observing your arm, which now has a red imprint left from the man’s hand. Her stare makes you hide your arm, as you tell her that you were fine and just wanted to go back to the hotel. Without saying another word, you put your earbuds in and shut your eyes, ignoring the texts from Joochan.

When you arrive at the hotel, you wordlessly make your way up to your room, ignoring the concerned looks everyone was giving you. Making eye contact with Joochan, you mouth the word “later” to him, letting him know that it was okay for him to come up to your room.

While you sit in your hotel room, attempting to forget about the whole ordeal that had occurred, you decide to scroll through Twitter. However, you see your name trending, and even though you hated searching your name on anything, you can’t help but let your thumb press on it. The first thing you see is a video and you can tell that it’s from earlier. Wanting to know what had went down you hesitantly click on the video. The point of view is from a someone the was on the side, and from there you can see the aggressor’s face. As you watch the video, you can see the frantic look on your face as your attempt to free yourself from the fan and then you see Joochan quickly come up to the pair of you and grab the man, slamming him down to the ground. Instinctively, you grab onto the part where you were gripped, ‘Huh, I guess that’s what happened,’ you think to yourself.

Your thoughts are interrupted when you hear knocking at your door. Cautiously you approach the door when a familiar voice begins to speak, “Y/n, it’s me.” Recognizing the voice instantly, you quickly unlock your door and open it, revealing Joochan with a concern look on his face. Quietly stepping aside, you let him into the room. Turning around after shutting the door closed, you are enveloped in a warm embraced. You relax into Joochan’s arms, breathing in his familiar scent.

“Are you doing okay?” Joochan asks after a few seconds. Contemplating whether you want to tell him he wants to hear or the truth, you decide to tell the truth. Weakly, you say, “No.” Joochan’s arms tighten around your body before separating from you, looking you directly in the eyes, “I’m sorry I wasn’t there quicker.” Quickly shaking your head, you let him know that it wasn’t his fault.

“But it’s my job to protect you, and I couldn’t even do that today.” You could hear the guilt in Joochan’s voice, and it made you feel worse. “But you eventually came, that’s all that matters.” Gently grabbing the arm that the man had a hold of, Joochan observes the imprint that was still present, and brings it up to his lips, planting a soft kiss on the area. “I promise that I wont ever let you get hurt like this ever again.” Bringing up a word to brush his hair out of his face, you say, “I know.” Silence then fills up the room as the two of you softly gaze at one another.

The silence is broken when Joochan speaks up, “You have a few hours before your next schedule, is there anything I can get you or do for you?”

“I just want to relax with my boyfriend and cuddle with him, can you do that for me?”

Smiling and leading you to the bed, he says, “I think that’s doable.”

Once the two of you were comfortable in the bed, you let your eyes shut, relaxing in Joochan’s arms as he softly sings to you.

Golden Child reactions - First kiss with s/o

Daeyeol

Daeyeol is some really good boyfriend material. I think that he wouldn’t be in a rush to get his first kiss with his s/o, I think he’s the type to take his time and enjoy the feeling of getting to know each other. He would probably go on a date or two before making his first move: he’s kinda old-fashioned, so I think he would wait until they’re in front of his s/o’s house exchanging the last goodbye to shyly peck on her lips. He would give her a soft kiss on the side of her lips and then leave like nothing happened, but on the inside he’d be giggling like a child. He would then wait for his s/o to bring it up, only to be sure that her reaction is good.

Sungyoon looks like a really meticulous guy, I wouldn’t say that he’d literally plan his first kiss with his s/o, but I think that he would put a lot of effort into making it happen the way he wants it to happen. Just like Daeyeol, he would take his time and it could probably happen during one of their dates at a café. As soon as he’d notice that there’s some whipped cream on his s/o’s lips, he would hold her chin and look at her, wondering whether or not to kiss her. Eventually, he’d lean towards her and give her a soft smack on her lips. He would then move away, remove the whipped cream with the tip of his finger and eat it with a giggle.

Jangjun

Jangjun is a tease, I think he would start making fun of his s/o to see her reaction in order to decide whether or not to kiss her. He would probably tease her about him being her first kiss and she would probably end up ignoring him in order not to fight. He would then start giving her little pinches on her arm, trying to get her mad. He would kiss her as soon as she’d be about to shout at him in anger. He would softly kiss her for some time, move away and then go back to teasing her.

TAG

Youngtaek looks like a really romantic guy, but I’m not sure he would be the one to kiss first. He would probably end up receiving a soft kiss on the lips from his s/o in the middle of one of his endless speeches. He would be caught off guard and he would blink faster in disbelief. After the kiss, he would probably complain about his s/o interrupting him or not listening to him, but he would then proceed to kiss her more. He looks like he’s into physical touch, so he would probably want to kiss for a long time.

Seungmin

Seungmin is a guy with a lot of emotions, I think that his first kiss with his s/o would happen suddenly. He’s not the kind of guy to plan it, he would wait until both his s/o and him are in the perfect mood. I think it would happen in a private place, maybe his room at the dorm. They’d probably be lying down on the bed, watching a tv show or something like that; she’d turn her face towards his and the tip of their noses would touch. He would then give her a soft peck on her lips, leaving her surprised.

Jaehyun

Even if he doesn’t look like it, I think that Jaehyun would probably be too shy to make the first move. I think he’d be worrying about whether or not it’s the right time to kiss, whether or not it’s the right place to make it happen for the first time, whether or not his s/o would want to kiss... He would be caught off guard when his s/o would shyly stand on her tips and give him a soft peck on his lips. He would tightly hold her in his arms and mentally thank her for being braver than him.

Jibeom

Jibeom looks so manly, I think he would definitely be the one to make the first move. He’d place his arm on his s/o’s shoulder and listen to her talking without moving his eyes from her lips; he would then hold her chin and give her a small peck on her lips. He would move away for a second only to check her reaction, but then he’d lean towards her again and give her a more heated kiss.

Donghyun

Donghyun looks like he’s really shy, he overthinks things a lot so I think that he wouldn’t be the one to make the first move, he would wait for his s/o to kiss him or else it would never happen. He’d be totally flustered when his s/o would slowly start to lean towards him, but he would try not to show his emotions on the outside. I think he’d stare at her in disbelief after she’d move away, and this would lead to her softly pinching his cheek and smiling at his look.

Joochan

I think that Joochan is a really passionate guy. He wouldn’t be in a rush to kiss his s/o, but he would definitely want it to be romantic and unforgettable. He wouldn’t plan their first kiss, as soon as the situation feels comfortable he’d probably stare deep into his s/o’s eyes and slowly lean towards her lips. He wouldn’t take his eyes off hers until the moment their lips would meet. As I said, he looks like a passionate guy to me, so I don’t think his first kiss with his s/o would be that innocent; the kiss would probably end up in a make out session.

Bomin

Bomin looks like he’s a really confident guy, but I’m not sure he would keep that same confidence with his s/o. He would try to hide his insecurities by teasing her, probably mentioning the fact that he believes she’s not really into him and she’s just taking advantage of his heart. Even if this wasn’t his intention, all the teasing would eventually end up with his s/o giving him a hurried kiss (which would leave him speechless) in order to prove her feelings to him.

Golden Child reactions - 15. “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

Daeyeol

Daeyeol is definitely good boyfriend-material. When you two started dating, you felt like you were dating a modern-days prince: he’s always really polite and sensitive, always worrying about you rather than himself, taking you out on romantic dates (when he has free time, obviously), cuddling with you under the sheets and showering you with his love. Too bad you’re not as good as him at showing affection. Even if you had never talked about this before, it was clear that at a certain point he had started developing some insecurities about that, so you aren’t really surprised when he stands in front of you asking: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”.

“Huh?” You say, blinking more than once. He looks at you with a sad gaze.

“Is there anything you don’t like about me?” He asks, biting his lip.

“No...?” You reply, while your heart starts to beat faster.

He sighs. “Are you sure? You don’t have to be with me if you don’t like me.”

“Actually...” You start. “Actually you’re the best thing that could ever happen to me. Really. It’s just that I’m really bad at showing how much I care about you. I’m so sorry.”

His eyes grow wider as a smile appears on his face. “Oh. I feel so much better.” He says, while hugging you. “I couldn’t get myself to stop thinking that you dislike something about me.”

“There’s nothing wrong with you.” You reply, caressing his cheek. “You’re perfect to me.”

Sungyoon isn’t usually the kind of guy to worry about his own irrational thoughts, but having to deal with a person who finds it hard to show affection is making him change his mind.

“I’ve been worrying about you for a few days.” He says, putting an arm around your shoulders. “Is there anything you want to tell me?”

You rest your head on his shoulder. “I don’t think so. Why?”

“Uh.” He replies, touching your cheek with his fingers. “Nothing.”

You put yourself to sit in front of him and look at him in the eyes. “Are you worried about something?”

“Not really...” He says, before looking away and suddenly asking: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

You blink twice. “Which part of you... isn’t enough...?” You ask, giving him a confused look.

“Yeah.” He says. “Am I lacking something?”

You pat his head. “No, you’re not. I’m the one lacking something, and it’s the ability to demonstrate that I am crazy about you.” You explain. “Please, bear with my flaw, okay?”

He holds your hands. “It’s okay. I am crazy about your flaws too.”

Jangjun

Considering his bright personality, you had never thought Jangjun would ever be the kind of guy to develop insecurities about anyone surrounding him. He had a particular way of showing his insecurities: he would bring them up by asking rhetorical question.

“You don’t like me, don’t you?”, “You think I’n not good enough for you, don’t you?”, “You’re into somebody else, aren’t you?”, these are only some of the dozens of questions he has been asking you for the past few days.

“So, which part of me isn’t enough?” He asks, making you roll your eyes.

“Actually...” You say, and he looks at you with a worried gaze. You smirk, realizing that he’s believing it. “Actually, there’s something.”

“W... what?” He asks. You had never seen him so insecure.

You point at his head. “Your brain.” You say. “You aren’t clever enough to realize I’m crazy about you.”

He pinches your arm. “You thought you could prank me?” He asks, pinching you harder. “Don’t do this ever again. And I want you to know this: I wasn’t believing in you. I knew you were kidding.”

You move your arm, sticking your tongue out. “Yeah, sure.”

TAG

Youngtaek gets easily flustered when it comes to people he cares about. He has always been into you, and he has shown it in various ways: sending you pictures of something that he saw and reminded him of you, buying you all the sweets that you said you like, taking you to his favorite places... you feel bad thinking about the fact that he has been able to show his affection to you in so many different ways, while you struggle to even just say “I love you” back.

You are at the café in front of his company. You’re taking a sip of iced tea when out of the blue he asks you : “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

You didn’t really expect him to ask you that question.

“What do you mean?” You ask, coughing.

“What should I change about me? I want you to be more interested in me.” He explains, with a serious face.

You smile and reach your hand out to caress his cheek. “You don’t have to change anything. Just because I don’t tell you I love you so often, it doesn’t mean I don’t love you.”

“You can just tell me if something is wrong with me. I am willing to fix it.” He says, holding the hand you were caressing him with.

“There is nothing I would change in you.” You say, just before kissing him. “You’re the best to me.”

Seungmin

Seungmin is usually quiet but when he’s worried about something he becomes even quieter. It didn’t take you a lot to realize that something is making him flustered.

“What’s going on?” You ask, out of the blue.

“Huh?” He says, giving you a confused look.

“You’re so quiet.” You explain. “You’re thinking about something.”

He looks away and stays silent; after a few minutes, he asks: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

You raise your eyebrows. “What?”

“Nevermind.” He says, taking his phone out of his pocket. You take your phone out of your bag too.

You send him a text. “You’re more than enough for me.”

You wait for his reaction, but it seems like he hasn’t read it yet. Your phone vibrates.

It’s Seungmin’s reply. “I love you even if you make me worry too much.”

Jaehyun

Jaehyun always worries about making sure you’re comfortable with him. There hasn’t been a single time ever since you started dating that he hasn’t asked you if everything is okay or if you want to talk to him about something in particular. You are really thankful for the way he is, but you know that sometimes you’re not good at showing him how much you love him; so you weren’t really surprised when he texted you asking: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

You read the text more than once, to be sure that you’re not getting it wrong.

“Nothing?” You type. After a few seconds, you get another text.

“Are you sure?” He asks.

“I am.” You reply.

“Alright. I’m sorry.” He quickly replies. “I love you a lot.”

You smile. “I love you a lot too.”

Jibeom

Jibeom isn’t really the type of guy to share all of his thoughts with you, but you can feel that something is off only by taking a look at his gaze whenever he’s talking to you. At first you thought it would be something temporary, but after a few days you realized that it was kind of serious and that you had to find out what was going on. So that’s why you have now called him over.

He is as quiet as usual, but you can see that his eyes are hiding something.

“So... is there something going on?” You begin with an unsure voice. He shyly looks away and blushes.

“No.” He murmurs.

��Are you sure?” You insist. “ I can see it in your eyes.“

He sighs. “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

“Huh?” You give him a confused look.

“”I feel like you’re not into me.” He explains. “Is there anything wrong with me?”

You blush. “No. I’m sorry.“ You look away. “ I should show my affection to you more, right?”

He smiles to you. “It’s okay. You don’t have to force yourself.”

Donghyun

“Which part of me isn’t enough?”

Donghyun’s question flustered you. You know you aren’t that good at showing your affection to anyone, especially to him, but you didn’t think this would lead to him feeling insecure about himself.

You scratch your head. “Uhm... well, do you really want me to say it?” You ask.

Donghyun puts on a sad face and shrugs. “Whatever.”

“It’s... your confidence.” You hurriedly reply, before this leads to him feeling really bad. “Why are you asking me such stupid questions? You should know better how much I love you.”

“You never say it.” He shyly explains, looking away.

You pinch his cheek. “Just because I don’t say it it doesn’t mean you’re not “enough” for me. Actually, you’re way too much for me. I don’t deserve you.”

Joochan

Joochan usually acts like he’s full of confidence, so his sudden question (“Which part of me isn’t enough?”) sincerely flustered you.

“There’s nothing wrong with you.” You reply. “I am sorry, this is all my fault. I am way too cold.”

He quickly pats your shoulder. “Don’t apologize. I was kidding. Really!”

“No, you’re right. I should be much more affectionate to you.” You say, biting your lip.

“I was really kidding!” He insists. “But still... thanks for the compliment!” He adds, winking.

Bomin

Bomin usually holds everything in when it comes to his worries. It’s not like you were expecting him to tell you how he is feeling every single time, but you wanted him at least to tell you when something was wrong; since he never did, as soon as you realized that something was worrying him, you asked him about it.

“I am okay, really.” He replies.

“Are you sure?” You ask again.

He stands there and looks at you in your eyes. Before you can say anything, he asks: “Which part of me isn’t enough?”

“What?” You say, raising your eyebrows. “Are you crazy?”

He gives you a confused look. “Why?”

“You’re way more than enough to me. Don’t ask me no stupid questions!” You say, leaving him with a warm smile on his face.

Golden Child reactions - 7. “Another nightmare?”

Daeyeol

The feeling of the wind entering the room through the window and reaching your body immediately wakes you up. Your eyes are wide open, but you feel like even getting up is impossible; you were having a really bad nightmare, just like it has been happening for a week, ever since you heard the terrible news of your friend being at the hospital due to a disease. You touch your cheeks and you can feel that they’re wet: you were crying in your sleep again. You sigh loudly and reach your hand out. No one is there. You bring yourself up, dry your tears and get out of the bedroom; as expected, your boyfriend is in the living room with a computer and a notebook on his legs. You quietly sit next to him and rest your head on his shoulder.

“Hey.” He says, caressing your cheek as soon as he notices your presence. “Another nightmare?” You nod, hiding in his sweater. “It’s okay. Everything is going to be alright.”

“Are you sure?” You ask, feeling uneasy.

“Do you trust me?” He asks. You nod. “Then, everything is going to work out. I promise you.”

A warm hand reaches your forehead and immediately moves away. You blink twice.

“Oh, you’re awake.” Sungyoon whispers, filling a cup of water and handing it to you. “Here, drink some water.”

You force yourself to sit and greedily drink. The cold feeling of water touching your lips sends shivers down your spine.

Sungyoon quietly watches you drinking and, as soon as you’re done, takes your cup. "Another nightmare?" He asks.

"I think so." You answer, laying down on your bed.

"You were talking and moaning in your sleep.” Sungyoon explains, offering you a cold towel to place on your forehead.

“I’m sorry. Every time I get a fever I dream of weird things.” You apologize, feeling better as soon as the cold towel contrasts the heat of your forehead.

“It’s okay.” He replies, caressing your face. “I’m here if you need anything, alright?”

Jangjun

You had never properly realized how late Jangjun comes back from practice until today. At first the sound of someone unlocking the door of your apartment with the password scared you, but you felt better as soon as you recognized the figure of your boyfriend entering the door. You take a look at the clock hanging on the wall. It’s 3.08 AM.

“Y/N?” Jangjun calls, with a sleepy voice. “What are you doing awake on the sofa at this late hour?” You sigh, while he locks the door behind him. “Another nightmare?” He asks, patting your head.

“Yeah.” You reply. “I couldn’t go back to sleep, so I thought about waiting for you. Do you always come back home this late?”

“You don’t have to worry about me.” He says, picking you up from the sofa. “Let’s go to bed, it’s late.”

TAG

You quietly look at Youngtaek moving in his sleep next to you. When he first accidentally woke you up you tried to ignore him, thinking that he’d probably stop moving soon, but after the third time he had turned on his side making the whole bed shake, you gave up on going back to sleep. You wonder about what’s he dreaming about. His face is contorted and, from time to time, he says something that it’s hard to understand. It’s not the first time that this happens, but he always refuses to talk about it in the morning. You move some hair that is covering his eyes. As soon as you touch him, Youngtaek wakes up and looks at you with those big eyes of his.

“Another nightmare?” You ask. He nods and rubs his eyes. You open your arms and hug him tightly. “Come on, it’s late. I’m here.”

Seungmin

You stare at the ceiling trying to calm down. That nightmare was even worse than all the ones you were having for the past month. Your heavy breathing catches the attention of your boyfriend who leans out of the door.

“Hey, did something happen?” He asks, scanning the room. The fact that he has his toothbrush still in his mouth makes you smile. It must be early morning and he must be getting ready to go to practice.

“Don’t worry about me.” You say, rubbing your eyes.

He walks up to you and hold your hand. “Another nightmare?”

“It’s okay. I can deal with it.” You say, holding his hand tightly. “Go get ready, you will be late because of me.”

He rolls his eyes. “Practice can wait.”

Jaehyun

You walk into the kitchen and head to the coffee maker. Jaehyun, sitting at the table and eating a toast, looks at you with a curious gaze. You wait for your coffee to be done and sit next to him.

“Do you want some coffee?” You ask, handing him the cup.

He shakes his head. “Thank you, but I think you need it way more than I do.”

You giggle and lightly slap his arm. “Maybe you’re right.”

“You look like you had one of the worst nights ever.” He explains, biting into his toast. “Another nightmare?” You nod. “You should’ve woken me up.”

“I don’t want you to be tired during the day because of me.” You say, shrugging.

He ruffles your hair. “I want you to wake me up every time you’re having a nightmare. I’ll make sure to make you feel better.”

Jibeom

Nightmares were never a big deal for you. Sure, some of them were really bad and made you wake up abruptly, but after a few minutes you would always calm down and go back to sleep. Strangely, ever since you started dating Jibeom, every nightmare has been keeping you up the whole night. And tonight you’re once again trying to fight your demons, while Jibeom is peacefully sleeping next to you. You sigh, thinking about how many times this has happened already. You lay down, facing him. “His face looks really sweet when he sleeps”, you think. You move your hands towards his cheek and, when you’re just about to caress him, he opens his eyes. He looks at you with a confused gaze.

“What time is it?” He asks with a sleepy voice.

“It’s late.” You whisper. “Go back to sleep.”

Jibeom closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. “Another nightmare?”

“How do you know?” You ask; you had never talked to him about your nightmares before.

“I heard you waking up.” He explains, opening his arms. “Come here. I can’t make you forget about your nightmare, but I can try to make you feel better.”

Donghyun

If there’s one thing you’re sure about, is that whenever you’ll wake up from your sleep there are high chances that Donghyun will be awake too. And when you woke up because of another nightmare and his side of the bed was empty, you knew exactly where he was. You walk out of the bedroom and find him in front of the computer in the living room.

“Playing games at this late hour?” You tease him, while standing behind him and putting your hands on his shoulders. “Don’t you have practice tomorrow?”

“I don’t.” He replies, trying to stay focused on the game he’s playing. “Why are you awake, though? Another nightmare?”

“Nothing too serious.” You say, checking the time on the computer. “Please, don��t spend too much time playing games. I’ll wait for you to go to sleep.”

“Oh.” He whispers, turning off the computer. “Let’s go to bed, then. You’ve already lost enough sleep because of a nightmare.”

Joochan

Dealing with nightmares was always hard for you, ever since you were a kid and would run into your parents’ bed. Not many people are usually able to calm you down after you had a nightmare so, when you started dating Joochan, you secretly started praying that nothing too worrisome would happen; you definitely didn’t want him to see you as an emotional wreck. Too bad he soon had to deal with your demons; you felt sorry every time it happened, getting up because of someone else crying must not be nice. Once again you find yourself sobbing in the middle of the bed but this time Joochan is not there to calm you down. Outside it’s raining hard and he’s out because of practice. Suddenly the door opens.

“I’m home!” You hear a loud voice saying. “I forgot to bring an umbrella with me. Y/N, I’m completely wet!”

You try to wipe your tears but your eyes are completely red so, as soon as he enters the bedroom and sees you, he realizes what happened.

“Another nightmare?” He asks, hurriedly sitting next to you, ignoring his wet clothes and holding your hand.

“You’ll be sick. Please change your clothes.” You say, between one sob and another.

“Ah, don’t think about me!” He says, pinching your cheek. “I care about you more than I do about me.”

Bomin

After months of dating Bomin you had realized that it wasn’t that hard to see him cry. But now that it’s the third night he’s crying in his sleep, you literally don’t know how to react. Should you wake him up? Should you talk about it in the morning? Should you pretend nothing happened? You really don’t know what to do. You look outside the window and sigh. “We should talk about it anyway, right?” You think, right before shaking him lightly and waking him up.

“Are you okay?” You ask, while he looks at you through the tears; you dry some of them with your hand.

“Hm.” He murmurs, quickly hiding his face in his hands.

“Another nightmare?” You suggest, hoping not to be too intrusive.

At first he nods, but then he looks at you with a worried gaze. “Another...?”

“Yeah. It’s not the first time this happens.” You explain, caressing his cheek. “It’s okay, you must be having a hard time.”

“It’s just that I’m having some really bad nightmares...” He admits.

You smile. “It’s okay. I’m here whenever you need me, alright?”

Maybe crushing on Sungyoon isn't that bad. Maybe you're overthinking it potentially could pass by, said months ago and now the more and more you see Sungyoon and that damn smile you can't help but fall for him even more. You've been going to Daeyeol for help and comfort so much this has gotten far but can you blame yourself? How can you not fall for Sungyoon? He's handsome, funny, sweet, trustworthy, caring, just the ideal package. The main problem here is how could you be with him, for one he probably doesn't like you and two you're just you, you don't feel special, you don't think of yourself much how could you date him? How could you be worthy to date him? Your insecurities always get the best of you.

Which is why we are here, you at the dorms in Daeyeols room. You felt bad you should be having fun with Daeyeol but after how your heart goes over a beat when you see Sungyoon you're wondering if you should just bite the bullet.

"I like him so much should I just do it? I can prep myself for rejection easily since it would be unsurprising." You said which brought you pain from even if it where unsurprising what if it messed up everything and you wouldn't be able to be friends?

"Y/n you are gorgeous and anyone could love you, don't out words and ideas in Sunghoons mouth without listening to him first. Talk to him confess you'll be okay." Daeyeol said pulling you into a hug, in which oh so painfully Sungyoon has to open the door to ask what you both would want for food. The pain in his eyes where prominent but neither of you could see it in which he quietly closes the door and tells Seungmin a random answer for what you'd both want (well he knew what your favorite dish was from that restaurant since he keeps tabs on things like that so he answered in response of your favorites for the both of you and Daeyeol.)

Once you left Daeyeols room after swapping topics and joking around you could see Sungyoons change in personality and the boys could as well. Immediately concerned you went up to him hoping to start out with light hearted joking to see if he's alright. Walking up to him you asked

"Why is my favorite bunny boy seemingly sad?" You said with a bright smile, your comforting voice and sweet smile caused Sungyoons heart to light up but the thought about how he saw you and Daeyeol leading pain into his eyes that you so fortunately had to catch.

"What's wrong?" You said quickly going in to hold his hand as a sign of comfort once more. He sighed and tried to shake it off and try a normal conversation but you could tell something was wrong. You tugged his arm for him to get up from the couch and walked leading him farther from the group. This sort of confidence was not something you had often but you wanted to be there for him.

“Sungyoon whats wrong? Seriously be honest with me.” You said concern prominent in your voice. He really thought no better time than now, if he’s going to let go he can just do so by confessing and hopefully moving on.

“Y/n I have liked you for a while now,, I know you have something going on between you and Daeyeol but I need to get that out even if it may be selfish I need to tell you so I can let go.” The way Sungyoon choked on his words you knew he wasn't joking and the avoidant eye contact. You where in shock, did he just confess? does he think you like Daeyeol? How does he like you? questions and self doubt filled your head; but the silence brought Sungyoon to agony. He really thought that was it for you friendship till he could solve his heart break yet he knew it’d never be the same. It’d always be an awkward tension and he hates every minute of it and regrets confessing already.

“No no no Sungyoon you have it all wrong,, I dont like Daeyeol. I go to him to talk about my boy troubles with you. I genuinely really like you and I was too self conscious to admit it, I talk to him for comfort of fear of rejection. I like you back” You said it so fast Sungyoon almost couldn't comprehend it. the heat that filled his face including shock, he truly thought he had just ruined everything yet here he is regaining strength after that confession. Now how do you express it to the boys without chaos to be loose and screams of cheers or ‘I told you so.’
