This was a fun quick project! It’s such a hilariously preposterous fic that I had to bind a copy, and was a good short one to try out printable fabric and 11x17 printing with.

I love how, in “Hogwarts School of Prayer and Miracles”, there’s this whole hinted-at behind-the-scenes conflict with the author possibly having an affair with her writing teacher, except that the author isn’t even real. This person invented a nutty persona to “write” a batshit fanfic, and they actually bothered to not only create “real life” drama for this persona, but they did it subtly. Like, you have three different layers of “why the fic ended”: because the writer got bored (reality), because the author’s husband said it was taking her focus away from her wifely duties (the reason claimed in the text), and because the author had the hots for her writing teacher “Greg” and her husband found out and put a stop to it (the “real” story seeded throughout the text, culminating in almost the same breath where the writer admits to making the whole thing up). Totally underappreciated work here.
