People WILL probably block me for this but IDC because I went up ahead and read up on the tuskens on the official Wiki and while I definitely DO see how it could be interpreted as racism (I genuinely believe Lucas Did Not mean for it to be read as such) . But. BUT.

I'm not saying the murder of the tuskens was "justified" but it was definitely a much. much. more complicated situation than people make it out to be. It is CANON that Tuskens are mistrustful to the point of Xenophobia of the other settlers on the planet, settlers who by this point have been there for generations. So the argument has to be made that their culture and traditions would NOT change overnight if at all. And therefore Anakin was right about one thing, (and I am willing to die on this hill.) the tusken children Would have grown up to be the same torturers and killers (possibly rapists, there were very few reasons for them to keep Shmi alive and none of them good)

Now, am I saying that killing children for something they might do or in this case Will do in the future is wrong? I'll be very honest, im only 70% sure my answer would be a definitive No. The other 30% is genuinely considering it. I cannot comment upon the female tuskens as there is literally almost NOTHING about them in Canon verse and so I know nothing about how culpable they are in this. But motherfucker NEITHER DO YOU.

Anyway yeah there are many tribes of tusken and some of them peaceful but this one was Definitely Not. We were sown this. This wasn't a matter of racism. this was a matter of Murderous, Torturing, Kidnappers. Who kidnapped and possibly raped this guy's mother.

Fact: Shmi was an innocent woman who had done NOTHING to the tusken

Fact: She was tortured at their hands for days

Fact: If someone did that to my mom, I'd be pretty murderous too especially if someone had been grooming (palpatine) me to give into my worst nature from age 9.

Idk man, things are definitely not as black and white as we are making them out to be. On EITHER SIDE. And if we're talking about bringing up the consequences of his actions before the senate? Most of them are not Nearly empathetic enough even give a fuck. They need the Hero With No Fear too much and even if they didn't they would NOT give a fuck. The jedi council definitely would but they would ALSO debate this, like a LOT.

fuck it, im making an interest check poll for this

To those who don't know what a MAP is, it stands for Multi-Animator-Project. Each person is assigned to a part of a song or audio that they must animate or make an animatic of.

If this ever goes to fruition, these are the major things about this map:

It's semi-scripted. Meaning that there's a story, set characters and setting where you have to follow but i might make it half scripted; parts without scripts need to coordinate in transitions to prevent inconsistency

Parts can be animatic and fully animated. Anyone of varying art experience can join but slots may be limited (ive seen rw map slots fill up quickly before)

You can use any design but they have to be feral and depending on where your part is, the rot will become more prevalent (this means that if you're at the near start, there are not much visible cysts- and if you're at the near end, hunter has to be HLL or show clear signs that they're changing to HLL)

I have never hosted a map before, mind you, but I have participated in some. i will be likely getting a lot of help and advice for this

Why artihunter?

The song's name "Kiss me"- literally an affectionate saying. but then slowly transitioning to Kill me to make the story even more tragic

I personally feel that this song requires a second character or a bystander where hunter pleads to them in the slow desperation

the gunshot at the end of the song will be translated into arti's explosive hitting hunter, ending their misery

I could honestly choose any other ship or make it platonic, but i chose artihunter because its a well-known ship in the fandom (... and also aside from the big fact that i want to host this map if i ever want to make this idea real)

also lots of design rambling underneath the cut. warning its very long and all over the place

-OKAYOKAY so you may notice that Survivor, Monk, and Gourmand all have similar markings- darker back patch, light tummy, tipped ears/stalks- this is because Gourmand is their grandpa in my interpretation!! they share traits because famly..

-neither Survivor nor Monk are fully grown, though Survivor is almost an adult. theyre the slugcat equivalent of teenagers. thats why theyre a little shorter than everyone else. however Enot and Rivulet are fully grown, Rivulet is just built for a different environment and Enots a fucked up inversion of Survivor

-Hunter, of course, gots the rots. i dont know why nobody utilizes Hunters scarred eye in HLL designs tbh- because the scar and the closed eye together make an X shape. and you know what else has an X shape? rot cyst. food for your thoughts :)

-the feds don't want you to know this but you can make any slugcat of your choice as fat and round as you want and nobody can stop you because they are your slugcat designs. anyways chubby arti :) and chubby nightcat :) and plump monk :)

-Nightcat has little silver splotches because I SAID SO. the silver bits by their eyes were actually inspired by Moonwatcher from Wings of Fire with those silver teardrop scales by her eyes, i always thought that was cool. my WoF phase haunts me to this day,,, also Nightcats ears point sideways because its cute

-okay you're probably wondering what the FUCK is up with Enot. the answer: who knows??? i made them La Creatura. theyre a little freak of nature who shouldnt exist but they glitched into existence or something and they have four ears and four hands and six eyes as a result

-Gourm... im love Gourm... theyre the second tallest slugcat, Spearmaster takes first place as resident stickbug

-okay so! if you may notice, pre-canon event Arti and current Arti have some differences. previous Arti has some little scars, and a darker end to their tail. current Arti has burns that cover those. thats intentional! i like to think that when the incident happened, the anger and grief took them over, erasing all personhood in the eyes of both the scavs and theirself in favor of carnage and fury and destruction. the burns represent that. the signs of a life well lived, that little dot of personhood? gone, replaced only by rage and hurting and memories of a tragic incident. (dont worry Arti fans in my little au they arent sad and enraged forever, they do heal. eventually.)

-more design notes about Arti but their right leg is burnt and hurts to put too much pressure on, so they prefer exploding if they have a long distance to cover or somewhere to reach. also, i gave Arti a tailtip that resembles a wick that was a result of the burn scars, thank you @pansear-doodles for bein cool about people takin inspiration from your amazing designs!!

-Spearmaster is comically tall and i love that. they also have Suns's logo on the back of their head. its like a watermark! Hunter doesn't have a watermark because in my interpretation, the rot stuff was intentional, added by NSH as a ticking time bomb as a sort of motivation for Hunter, so like why bother claiming a slugcat thats gonna either ascend or experience a fate worse than death

-also the pearl experience left a permanent scar for Spears because why not

-Rivulet.. the funny fishie.... i made almost zero changes to my orevious design of them because it is perfect. just added like some extra gills. theye very short and have little ears because little ears probably help with swimming and stuff to be like aerodynamic. they also have those little flaps on their side like nudibranches!! lil reference to sea slugs :)

-Saint takes inspiration from lynxes (ears) and sea bunnies (the spots!!). Saint is also the oldest slugcat here. i made their forehead dots eyes because that is COOL !!!! i love extra eyes. also chest floof :)

-Survivor and Monks parents had to take care of THREE pups ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT A COLONY TO SUPPORT THEM and they have zero special abilities to their name unlike Arti or Gourmand. theyre gonna be a little scuffed up

-Arti's pups are a mix between a carnivorous slugcat (Arti) and a regular slugcat (whoever Arti had kids with). the blue pup has a diet like Gourmands, where it can eat meat but it wont get as much out of it as a carnivorous slugcat. the green pup has the typical Slugcat diet.

i'll update this if i think of anything else to add!!!

like. id wanna complete the fantasy trifecta and have dwarves in their own bubble somewhere. they are mandatory.

but then, we want 7 species, right? 7 sophonts, as it were. thats only 3. so, what are the other 4?

i like mermaids, and i like people with wings, and i like centaurs. im neutral to :/ on orcs and like, goblins and stuff? just because :| oh boy that shits loaded and i am far too pasty. i dont wanna get in there. i dont wanna touch it. i feel like, comparatively, mermaids and centaurs and angel/harpy thingos are like, Chill. its fiiiiine. orcs though? mmmmm. when i was working on podowta (god that fizzled fast) i had polar bears, which was... something. idk if im into bears again just because there was at least sooooome kinda intent with the 7 sapient species that they are all like. related. that fucker is a BEAR though. that shit doesnt work. you cant just fuck a bear. i mean. -.-

the point is that they are all humanoid, and humanlike. not all of them can interbreed, notably centaurs, who, I MEAN, god. the rest are free to try, and the elves are galactic sluts so lord knows they Will try (god bless em).

i could have the 7th be giants? which would also HANDILY disqualify them from interspecies romance because, i mean, god. god as my witness. and giants is a loose enough category that it can encompass a lot of stuff, which is nice. its not super confining in the same way that orc has a tendency to be. giant IS boring, but luckily for me, i dont have to worry about that, because they aren’t involved in SFY! ;)

so lets say thats our seven. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Mermaids, Angel (ppl with wings, okay), Centaurs, and Giants.

so.

which of these folks (aside from humans and elves, who are discounted for SFY Canon reasons) is into necromancy. i feel like even if dwarves wereeee into necromancy, their predilection for staying underground would make the idea of exploring across the planar sea a Little weird? but idk. Angels would suit well for the idea of wanting to explore beyond their bounds because, yknow, Wings. theres also the thing with mermaids and the symbolism of the Planar Sea, which suggests that perhaps they would be better suited than any other sophonts to navigate it. they know the sea. the question for both becomes whether they would develop these desires to explore the cosmos independent of coming into contact with other sophonts via ghosts or not? and thats honestly a tough question.

there IS another factor, which is that whatever race is doing weird shit and manages to figure out portals and ends up contacting the human world ONLY contact a specific part of it. they are not found on Abravost. and while its possible the distance is just toooo far for the Angels to fly it, and there are no places to stop on the way, i think it would make more sense with the established mythos of SFY, that being that Abravost is surrounded by a huge fuck off dragon who eats everyone who comes near, that its the mermaids who did it. because the mermaids dont exactly have a choice about whether they travel by sea or not. they simply dont have the speed required to reliably get past the big dragon. they are effectively blocked from ever interacting with the area, and they are happy to just Not fuck with that. they might try to do some magic shit to skip the dragon, but the portals are interplanar, not intercontinental. for all their prowess, they have noooot figured out how to make portal tunnels through the planar sea do u turns. its complicated. and the distance, god, the distance, theyre probably operating in this other continent with like, Two portals and going ‘YEA THATS ENOUGH THIS SHITS EXPENSIVE’

yea? yea. im down for mermaids doing necromancy and learning portal magic from ghosts and using it to explore the cosmos. they might be the most widespread of the 7 ‘Children’ (these being the races born of The Mother, yall catching me) because of this, because, space oceans. hll yea
