Hi Fi Rush Turnarounds: Part 1

Here are the turnarounds for the main characters! Had to split Kale's mech version up so he wasn't absolutely tiny. Also had to get in game shots of Mimosa during her fight because the game didn't have her normal form as a model.

The Band reacting to Brainwashed!S/o

Notes; I might do the same for the Vandelay Bosses, too

Chai

Chai already experienced being brainwashed before but having someone he knows and love stare are him with lifeless eyes, he can't help but actually try to talk them instead even dodging any attacks they throw at him

He ignores everyone that tries to tell that they're gone and that he needs to get of there now, Chai is not leaving without S/o even if it means losing another arm

Even if he successfully brings back S/o to the base the band will have to put under lock and key, he'll visit them after every mission and talk to them normal much to the dismay of the others

Peppermint

Peppermint hated herself when she found S/o standing next to Kale their eyes clearly shown to be lifeless, her brother successfully created SPECTRA using them as a guinea pig

Tries everything she could to snap them out of his control while dodging every attack that's thrown at her and all the while screaming at her brother

But after that she'll run away with tears in her eyes as she yells at herself in her head about how stupid could she be, she should've went with them, blaming herself the entire way back to her base

Macaron

Chai finally made it to Roquefort's front door until he was kicked away by a person dressed in a simple dress shirt and pants as they straightened out their tie, the color drains from Macaron's face as he sees S/o

When he's brought into the fight he'll yell for them to snap out of it Macaron won't hit him, he'll try to hold them back as Chai watches on until the big guy goes back

By the end when S/o is tried out Chai will knock them out as the band arrives Korsica will tie their arms together and to the chair until they come, Macaron will talk to them and promises to come back

Korsica

When Kale fires her and is brought back to the Band's base the first thing she does is call her S/o but when she gets no call, she hightails out of there despite the Band calling her back

Bargaining into her shared apartment where everything is torn apart from the pictures shattered, couch thrown over and the walls been damaged, when she makes it to the room everything is torn

When they finally get to Kale they see someone standing next to them, S/o. Korsica calls out to them as Kale commends them to fight while Korsica has to watch from behind the shield, yelling out to the guitarist to not hurt

Hi-Fi RUSH X Big Hero 6 Crossover

Version 1

Wasabi (w/ the gang) visits his Uncle Macaron at Vandaley Island

Can take place before the game or after the game if you want

The potential interaction between CNMN, 808 and Baymax!

Also Baymax go full on terminator mode(In a robotic healthcare companion in a way) on Chai since he gets a lot of injuries, or comforts Peppermint.

Version 2

Hiro gets like- Invited to Vandaley Island for his achievements. With his help, he might upgrade the enhancements much better but noticed something suspicious about the corporation.

Kale might use the microbots (with a help from Zanzo, making his version of it) against Chai and the Resistance.

Hi Fi Rush Special Moments

Decided to compile all the special action scenes. Or at least what I THINK is all of them. I have a feeling I missed some.

I'm surprised not every boss has a special kill hit. I noticed Mimosa's at first and went back and was surprised that I couldn't find one for Roquefort, Korsica, and Zanzo. Though technically Zanzo does have those kinda special scenes where I think it's a Jo-Jo reference (which I was going to add here but decided against).

Also sorry for the kinda bad quality for Kale's finisher pictures. They happen so fast I had to record my gameplay and then try to slow down the video and take screenshots of the moments (Chai's moment was the hardest because there's only a split second where his chat box isn't on screen at the time).

Character Surnames

Because I'm a naming nerd, I decided to give family names to the characters who don't have canonical ones. If/When I share any fics you'll be seeing these names used. You're also free to snag these for your own projects 🙂

🎸Chai Gibson 🎸

Taken from the Gibson guitar manufacturer - Chai's scrap guitar is the "Flying V" model. Straightforward.

Scottish origin. Gibson means "son of the bright pledge"

💻 Macaron Ejiofor 💻

Pronounced "edge-ee-o-for"

West African/Igbo origin. (I felt like giving Macaron an African surname because why not?) Ejiofor means "one who acts in good faith". (If that doesn't fit Mac...) Knowledge of the actor Chiwetel Ejiofor didn't influence my choice.

⚡ Rekka Accardi ⚡

Italian origin (in respect to Randy Savage who she was inspired by in some aspects). Accardi means "hard edge", accurate to her in game personality.

🍍 Zanzo Motozawa 🍍

Japanese origin. Motozawa depending the most commonly used kanji means "base, origin" + "swamp, marsh". I picked this name because Zanzo is close to the Japanese word for "optical illusion".

I chose Fukuzawa for his family name originally, but changed it after rediscovering something funny in my D&D character planning doc. Consonant swapping Samson gives Zanzom, Zanzo M. (The foreshadowing... If you can call it that. 😄)

🌪️ Korsica Faulkner-Wallace 🌪️

Scottish origin (because majority seems to view her as Scottish). Faulkner means "falconer" (wind association) and Wallace means "foreigner" (the fact she's different from the other Department Heads).

I liked both surnames so much, I gave Korsica the double barreled treatment. Possible blended family situation with her.

🍹Mimosa Desrosiers 🍹

Pronounced "des-roh-see-ay", I believe. French origin (whether or not Mimosa is any amount of Hi-Fi Rush equivalent French is up for debate. It's possible she changed her surname to aid her career goals). Desrosiers means "from the rose bushes".

🌹 Bed of roses association ftw. 🌹

🐺 Roquefort St. John 🐺

Pronounced "sin-jin"

English origin, it originates from a place named after Saint John. John means "YAHWEH is gracious".

I got this surname from randomly generated results (Fantasy Name Generators' Australian Names to be specific) and settled on it for the vibes rather than the meaning.
