When the sun was barely peeking through the curtains, the phone alarm in Katsuki's room blared loudly. With a protesting groan, he reached over with one hand and grabbed said phone to turn off the alarm. Tucked against his chest was his boyfriend who had come to spend the night on the eve of his birthday.

Birthday. Right.

Today was Shouto's birthday.

He placed aside the phone and sat up slightly so he could look down at his partner. "Oi--" He was fairly sure Shouto was woken up by the alarm, but just in case, he gently shook his shoulder. "You gotta wake up."

He smirked mischievously. "I have plans for us."

Enji stopped typing on his laptop to look up at his son from over the top of his reading glasses replacing his pout with a neutral look. Truthfully if he was pouting it was due to his resting face just naturally resting there when he was deep in thought...so he was only partially pouting because of the news.

"No," He answered resuming his work, "and if this is about you dating Bakugou then don't worry, I don't intend to kick up a fuss about it but as I said to him... i have no right to approve or disapprove but I that does not mean I won't have an eye on him."

Katsuki had just walked into his dorm from a long day of training when he spotted Jericho in his cage. However, that wasn't unusual what did get the blond's attention about the snake was that he was wearing a little top hat.

"What the fuck? Who?" There was only a few people who knew that Katsuki had a pet snake -- Izuku and Todoroki being the main ones. And one, or both, of them could be the culprit(s).

After public birthday festivities were over (Kacchan and Satou made the birthday cake, of course) and everyone went back to their rooms, Izuku went straight to Shouto's room with a gift bag in hand. He knocked on the door and waited for his best friend to answer.

"Hey, Shouto!" he greeted with a smile. "I know you'd rather not deal with gifts, but when I saw this in a store, I knew I had to get it!" He held the back towards his friend. Inside was a new soba dish set covered in cat patterns.

"Happy birthday, Shouto!"

Izuku faltered a moment, upon hearing the question from Todoroki-kun. "I.. I think, it's just a figure of speech to mean that someone slept very well, Todoroki-kun." Izuku explained.

"It's just an easier way to indicate just how deep and sound someone is sleeping. Since when a baby is sleeping -- they are very peaceful, and calm. As well as why people will be like 'shh don't wake the baby' because they want to make sure the infant gets an undisturbed sleep. Since how a baby sleeps actually goes all the way back to before they were born."
