Ride 772: A jersey never seen before!!
Pag 1
1: Those two are accelerating like they're right before the sprint line!!
Ruaaaagh
Ooooogh
3: Just now it was the second stage “shironeri”
4: Are you surprised, San-na? Obviously, once we get before the finish line, I'll pull out the sixth stage
5: “Golden yellow”!!
Pag 2 / 3
Who will win the title of fastest!?
The black horse Kiji Kyuui!!
Sohoku's Team SS who's aiming to be Japan's number one!!
Or Hakone Academy's Doubashi!!
Pag 4
2: Woah.... what incredible speed! Those two competing for the lead
You're right
Huh!?
3: It's Hakogaku VS Sohoku, you know, those two have the exact same cards – it's exciting
Of course Sohoku's Kaburagi is fired up for his revenge
Incredible, it's the same as last year
4: Oi, they're still coming!!
Ah?
They're chasing!!
Huh
5: They're chasing!?
What incredible energy!!
The one running in the front is from Sohoku, but there's someone else behind....
That jersey....
Pag 5
1: It's a jersey I've never seen before!! Who's that!!
Pag 6
1: It's not Hakogaku, and it's not Kyufushi either
I've never seen them before, is it their first time participating this year!?
2: On his shoulder
3: it says “Gunma”
4: Yon
Gunma!?
5: Yon
Pag 7
1: Yon
3: He's coming up right behind me!!
4: But I won't let this guy go!!
I thought my part was over, but there's still work left to do!!
5: It's a simple thing
Pag 8
1: I just have to stop his legs from 30seconds to one minute!!
2: If I do that, then those two will have passed the sprint line!!
As long as the race is completely over!!
3: I'll make Issa have his revenge!!
4: This is the guy who that day
5: When we were practicing on Minegayama
6: Fell from the sky
Pag 9
1: On a mountain bike
2: The MTB two-times in a row champion!! Gunma Ryosei's Kiji Kyuui!!
Yon
Pag 10
1: And of course he's riding a road bike today!!
2: Road bikes are nice, you know
They're light, they react quickly, there's less loss of mechanical transmission
3: The thing that's most different from mountain bikes is that the road surface isn't uneven but flat
4: Alright, he's clinging to me!!
From now on it's a race! I'll gain time!! I'll stop him!!
5: And, you know, whenever you want
Freely
Pag 12
1: You can accelerate at your own timing!! Yon!!
Ugh!!
2: He got me!!
What was that just now!! He definitely turned his body like he was going right!!
3: I reacted thinking he was going to attack from the right
4: A “feint”!!
5: And from a slanted stance like that he moved straight forward?
6: The left side was narrow, there was nothing but the ditch cover
Pag 13
1: And this guy jumped forward no matter the situation!!
Dammit!!
Pag 14
1: Immediately after clinging to me from the back!!
2: When road bikes cyclists, after a solo run, approach someone from behind
3: they always take shelter from the wind behind them
4: To rest their legs!! At least for 10-30 seconds
5: That guy did it for less than 3 seconds!!
Higaruaaa
6: Dammit, so there's guys who can have their legs recover in just 3 seconds!?
Pag 15
2: This time I'll cling to him!!
Pag 16
1: Three seconds are enough, aren't they?
3: Mountain bike is a sport where you have to continuously produce high output of energy on your own
4: In comparison, in road race, where you can rest behind someone and use them to get ahead, you only need to put out power for a split seconds
5: Really
6: Road racing is full of excitement and learning! It's really....
Pag 17
1: Fun!! Yon!!
2: He accelerated in the curve!!
Pag 18
2: He's controlling the bike's frame tilting it just at the right angle to not let the pedals....
3: hitting the road!!
4: The “tires”!!
I heard that in MTB the control of the tires is essential!!
Is he applying that to road racing!? Dammit!!
5: But!!
6: I wasn't in the SS team for nothing!!
7: I can do something like that too
Pag 19
2: Ruwa-
3: The pedal hit the road!!
Pag 20
3: Ugh!!
Number 5 lost his balance!
He's losing speed
Ugh!! I'll make Issa have his revenge.....
4: I heard a loud noise, are you okay?
6: Huh
Pag 21
1: Stay safe
2: …. he worried about me.... and then left.... taking his time... so that's... Kiji Kyuui!!
4: Hahaha, San-na!!
Pag 22
1: This is the third stage!!
“Pale yellow”!!
2: You're fast..... aren't you strong?
Really, Orange
3: Honestly, when I first heard two of you were coming up, I was disappointed
“This year too, huh”, I thought
4: But turns out it's an equal one-on-one race!!
Pag 23
1: This is the best, Orange!!
You're the most serious guy!!
Let's do it!! A full throttle battle!!
2: I'll take you on!! But I told you earlier!! You don't know my “golden yellow”, you'll lose!!
3: There are 2km left until the finish line!!

a couple things that don't make sense to me regarding gregory being the one to make the elevator fall:
- if he knew exactly where cassie was to lead her to the elevator, it's likely because he could see her somehow. and if he could, wouldn't he know it really WAS her in the elevator and that it was safe to let her escape? wouldn't he be able to see that the mimic didn't get in?
- if he did know it was her in the elevator, what was the point of making her fall? how was that supposed to keep the mimic trapped? if he did it because he didn't want the mimic using the elevator, he could've waited until after cassie got out to break it.
- how is the mimic supposed to "follow" gregory and his friend(s)? there isn't a way, at least that we know of, that would allow the mimic to know their location and track them down (other than maybe the fazwatch, but that feels like a bit of a stretch).
- if gregory is in the building, where is he hiding that he can 1) see where cassie is, 2) access her walkie talkie, and 3) only do so starting at the scene before the mimic chase?
- if he was able to access cassie's walkie talkie, why couldn't he do so until the mimic chase? why didn't he say anything earlier and tell her to leave?
- how the hell did he even cut the elevator's wires? whether he was inside the building or not, he would likely have to do it from a distance, but how? is there, like, a button or something that just breaks the fuckin wires??? was he somehow hiding close enough that he was able to just snip them himself???? (i'm not an engineer so maybe there's a very easy way he could've done it and i just don't realize)
- if he had access to the camera inside the elevator and could talk to cassie through it, wouldn't it make sense for him to have access to other cameras? and if he did have access to them, why would he not talk to cassie that way? every time we've ever been able to view security cams— in both the base game and ruin— there have been multiple in one area, and i don't understand why that would suddenly change for only one ending scene. maybe that's somehow the only functioning camera, but if that one survived, it's likely that other ones did as well.
- what was the point of leading cassie to the elevator if he was only going to let her die? he already knew the mimic was after her, and she was going to die anyway, so why lead her all the way to the elevator instead of just letting the mimic get to her?
idk, things just seem pretty fishy to me. there are probably some other things i forgot, once i think of more i'll reblog this :)

thinking about "you have a life" / "i don't know what i have" + "what do you want, dana?" / "i want everything that i should want at this time of my life" + the perceived shame in scully's loss of normalcy... "unlike you, mulder, i would like to have a life" + "do you believe in the afterlife?" / "i'd settle for a life in this one" + "don't you ever want to just stop? get out of the damn car? settle down and live something approaching a normal life?"
her friend ellen saying, "well, first you have to get a life." tara, pregnant with their christmas gift, saying that life before one grew inside her was "somehow...less, just a prelude," while barren dana cries in the kitchen. "i know you and dad were...disappointed...that i chose the path that i'm on."
thinking about how mulder said, "this is a normal life," and how she smiled. (he doesn't know any different). how, in the end, he said, "hey, scully? i know it's not your normal life, but thanks for coming out there with me."
(christmas before quantico, "i guess i'm afraid of making a big mistake. dad thinks i am." and missy's response: "it's not his life, dana.")
her application to adopt emily was rejected: "you're a single woman who's never been married or had a long-term relationship. you're in a high stress, time intensive, and dangerous occupation."
bill's reaction: "sounds like something your partner would say. this isn't about any little girl, dana. this is about you. it's about some...void, some emptiness inside you that you're trying to fill."
and mulder to the judge: "the fact that she can adopt this child, her own flesh and blood, is something i don't feel i have the right to question, and i don't believe anyone has the right to stand in the way of."
(that last christmas with missy before everything: "there is no right or wrong. life is just a path...just don't mistake the path for what is really important in life. the people you're going to meet along the way. you don't know who you're going to meet when you join the FBI. you don't know how your life is going to change, or how you're going to change the life of others.")
and ultimately, it all leads to a leather couch. and after contemplating that sacrifice of normalcy, what she should want, the decisions she could have made, she says, "i once considered spending my whole life with this man...what i would have missed."
she could've been a doctor, like her father wanted. she could've settled down, married waterston, had a normal life, like her friends and brother wanted. but what would she have missed?
"what if there was only one choice and all the other ones were wrong?" / "and all the...choices would then lead to this very moment. one wrong turn, and...we wouldn't be sitting here together."

i’ve been watching yannis marshall choreography for like 15 minutes and i’m back thinking about my dancer au
gaz suggests a pole dancing segment for the music video for price and ghost shuts it down hard, saying he doesn’t do pole. gaz calls him selfish, that he’s just saying no to spite him but ghost holds firm; not even listening to soap as he tries to reason with him and reach a compromise
soap gets to practice early like he always does, just to see ghost blasting another life by motionless in white and doing a flawless pole routine. he’s as mesmerised by him as he always is, such beautiful movements contrasted by the seemingly harsh music, and waits for him to break before teasing, “i thought you said you couldn’t do pole dancin’.”
ghost just wipes the sweat off his face with a towel. he knew he was there
he always knows when soap’s there
“i said i didn’t do pole; not that i couldn’t.”
“what’s stoppin’ you?” soap asks, genuine and innocently curious and it’s the only reason ghost doesn’t completely shut him down
“what ‘bout you?” he asks instead. “ever done pole?”
he shrugs and sets his bag down. “enough to get in a twirl or two. ‘sides, gaz’s better suited to that kinda delicate work.”
“now, that i know is bullshit,” ghost scoffs and soap tenses, expecting him to go off on another rant about his best mate (just like he waits through gaz going off on ghost) but- “i’ve seen your competition tapes; you’re plenty strong enough to work a pole.”
soap stares at him. “how have you-?”
“price,” he answers simply, throwing the towel on top of his gear and all but stalks towards him. “i like knowin’ who i’m working with; he sent me your breakdancin’ comps. if you can hold a three-fingered hollowback handstand, you can bend on a pole.”
soap sputters as ghost grips his tank top and yanks him over to the pole, setting his hands in place on the body-warmed metal; bracketing his body with his own. he guides his body through the motions; teaches him how to fall and catch himself in a spin, how to gracefully climb and hold his body in midair
soap laughs as he throws himself into a spin just to bend his legs over his head, twisting his body to latch onto the pole with knee and lean perfectly horizontal with his other leg splayed out; his arm thrown above his head
he tips his head back to catch ghost’s grin and almost drops himself as he jumps up to join him; artfully climbing above him and holding his whole weight on his hip as he flips down to look at him
soap’s breath catches at the scant distance between their faces; so close he can count the near invisible freckles on ghosts skin, his fair lashes and the deep flecks of gold in his dark eyes
ghost is just as entranced; his grin slowly fading as he looks into the light sparkling in soap’s eyes. he tips his head towards the mirrors lining the studio and they slowly turn to look at themselves; fitting perfectly together
“see?” he whispers. “we don’t look all that outta place, do we?”
“no,” soap whispers back. “we don’t.”

I have a debt that won't leave my head : why didn't freddy ask Gregory or Vanessa to come back and rescue the other glamrock animatronics
Well we don't know he didn't for a fact- there's no real evidence one way or the other
The three came back to the Pizzaplex to set up MXES, and maybe they were planning on attempting to save the others while setting up the MXES system, but quickly realized they were beyond saving- or at least they they wouldn't be the ones to save them.
Maybe before that, they did try and simply failed- just because they try doesn't mean they'll succeed and we'll see the results of the rescue attempt.
The problem with saving them now is that they aren't like Freddy, who was infected and freed before it was too late- they're not infected anymore, they're just angry and not themselves. The issue isn't a virus anymore as that virus was already defeated, fixing them isn't as simple as playing a few arcade games, their code- their minds- they've been damaged and changed, and reversing it isn't easy, especially not in the states they're in right now.
And my point with this is; maybe Freddy and the others knew this, knew that they were just damaged, and thought that saving them was impossible. Plus, none of this is to mention just how dangerous a rescue attempt would be- we saw how they acted around Cassie, and we saw how especially Roxy was still angry and looking for Gregory- a rescue attempt would be life threatening, and with everything on their plate already, a mission that they knew would most likely fail and could easily get one of them killed might not be worth it.
Though to be honest, it sounds unlikely when thinking of Freddy specifically- maybe Gregory and Vanessa, but those are Freddy's friends, he's described them as such, and I think he'd be able to convince the two to at least try. But I don't think it worked.
TLDR; looking at his character he most likely did, but the attempt failed. Either that or he had to give up the attempt before it started, knowing that his friends just weren't themselves anymore and wanting to protect his family from them.
Not sure if this made sense- but I hope I got my point across uierjgherfl

@vacantgodling in the Bakery Bitches AU (which hinges solely on the premise that Isabel, Rodney, and Hatt were somehow raised as siblings/if Fay and Lou got divorced the kids stayed with Lou) contact ERS has probably been banned. Possibly multiple times. Isabel and Hatt are like chill and normal petty siblings until it's contact ERS time and then they are possessed by what Fay can only describe as "the allure of the goddamn emergency room". Have they had to go to the emergency room? No. Have they beat each other into a pulp over a handful of cards? Repeatedly. Does Rodney play with them anymore? Absolutely not lmao but you know he lost several baby teeth to these shenanigans.
I think in Undermonster AU (where the whole premise is that there is a monster that lives under their childhood basement stairs, with Hatt as an optional sibling) they would fall prey to the classic childhood horror plot where they attempt to play contact ERS with the monster and end up with otherworldly injuries and a locked basement door.
In an AU I'm calling Scholarshipping Up to Salles (where the premise is that Isabel and Rodney got private school scholarships and Isabel becomes BFFs with Fabian instead of Spinder) I think Fabian has scars from Isabel taking this way too seriously (though he's probably managed to give her one right back), and he's so envious of Darnell, who doesn't get tackled nearly so hard. Literally he's sitting in the corner with a nosebleed thinking that she would be nicer to him if he were bi (and he's not entirely wrong).
In actual canon Isabel would still love contact ERS but who would play it with her (well except Tatya, which would probably make her not want to play)?
I was gonna leave it there but then I realized there are three other siblings who would play with less intensity but absolute tenacity: the Labissarns. And Vikedr, too. I kinda want to have Sheri witness them playing it because he definitely thinks that Gannet is not the kind of guy who would wrestle for cards - and play just as dirty as Eely, for that matter - but he totally is.
Sheri taglist: @kk7-rbs
