Something I wish more people would understand is how unhealthy and misguided I was in my early 20s. I came out of a life of mental and sexual abuse, for a bit I had a much older boyfriend than me that I didn’t realize until fairly recently was grooming me since I was 14. I was a hyper sexual teenager due to the exposure I had in childhood and I sought people out constantly to ERP with, even adults, without really thinking anything was wrong with that. I had an old friend who started running away from home to look for random adult men to sleep with so my understanding and feelings towards that kind of situation got all twisted and confused and I didn’t know how to help my friend. I had another friend who was pulled in to a 3 way by another minor and an adult, and the other minor was also the sort who actively looked for adult men who would be sick enough to sleep with her. And my best friend had a sister who was also exhibiting this behavior despite my friends’ many protests, because their mom didn’t give a single fuck about anything. I had an older babysitter, by older I mean in his 60s, who would bring up conversations about sex with me and show me porn on TV from when I was 10-13. I was dealing with unchecked PTSD which made me overly reactive, prone to fits of anger and anxiety.

My point is, back then I didn’t have any kind of professional help or anywhere I could go for answers on things I didn’t understand or had a limited understanding of. When I ask the question ‘what do you do if a kid is seeking out adult sexual attention’ it’s not because I’m trying to blame kids for this, it’s because it scares me when kids are unknowingly, maybe even knowingly, exposing themselves to danger for whatever screwed up reason they may have. And no one wants to talk about that kind of situation, so I couldn’t find any answers. I couldn’t find an appropriate way to process my feelings on the matter, my understanding of it, the way I viewed it, I couldn’t find what the correct way to feel or deal with it was. Again, because no one wants to talk about it. With my naivety and personal experience, I at first held resentment towards kids like that, because I remember being put in danger because of them or they put my friends in danger, and those kids seemed very sure of their choices even when they were perfectly aware it was wrong. One of them I knew, even as an adult, didn’t ever think anything was wrong with what they did, they didn’t come with that regret you hear most people talking about. I regret the way I’ve reacted to these situations and I regret the way I phrased things when I was trying to come to terms with this issue that I’d been honestly traumatized by.

Another thing I didn’t understand in my early 20s was appropriate boundaries, because I wasn’t given appropriate boundaries as a kid I only knew one big basic thing: Don’t do anything sexually explicit with minors.

And when it came to RP, I thought that meant PG13 content was okay. I thought if there was a fade to black, or a time skip, or an implication, it wouldn’t be a bad thing. Now, there are literally only 2 instances I can think of where there was any sort of implication of sexual acts between characters with a minor, I still made sure nothing explicit was shown or explored and I was of the impression that I was just letting the other person have fun because that’s what they were in to. And that was a mistake. Not as big of a mistake as it could have been, mind you, but I’d never cross that line. I thought I had a good line drawn in the sand but I didn’t really understand where it was supposed to be. Because if we’re gonna be honest here, looking back I know now even romantic fluff RP between an adult and a minor isn’t okay, even if it’s through characters and not as ourselves.

I know now how much of an emotional impact RP can have on a person, considering most of my romantic relationships started with RP. When you have a character you deeply connect to interacting with someone else’s character, it’s really easy to start mistaking your character’s feelings for your own. You could believe because your characters get along so well that maybe the two of you can get along romantically too. I’m not saying that RP shouldn’t lead to romance, but that it can easily blind a person from how their RP partner really is. So it’s dangerous to RP with kids like this. I should know, my abusive ex that groomed me until I turned 18 in order to date me certainly had me convinced we were meant for each other just because our characters clicked and my character happened to be a representation of myself.

Something I’m really ashamed to admit as well is a serious misjudgement on my part, where for some reason I assumed bodily fluids weren’t NSFW. Probably because I’ve seen people get away with censoring out naughty bits but leaving the spunk in an image, or just drawing the character with spunk on them or something. Point is, people were getting away with it not being flagged as porn, and my dumb brain was like ‘okay so it’s not that bad’. I need to make something clear here, I don’t entirely remember what happened or why it happened, but it’s true that Bedeviled Derpy had a post that showed spunk in 2 of the images and it was drawn from some sketches of mine by a teenager. I don’t believe I would have requested such a thing, I certainly didn’t script it to say ‘draw spunk here’, in fact the sketches don’t show any indication of a mess anywhere. I just remember being given the finished images with the spunk being added, and I was dumb enough to think “oh yeah this is totally okay for a SFW blog” and my brain didn’t even register like ‘hello yes a child drew this maybe ask them to remove the spunk also spunk isn’t sfw or child friendly in any way shape or form’

Some people, maybe only a handful, or more, I don’t know, but some people have this assumption that my mindset in all of this was like “Hahaha I’m taking advantage of a minor” and that’s just... not it?

I’m a colossal dumbass, I admit that, and I was really irresponsible, but it was NOT because I had any intentions on preying on a child. I just don’t do that.

The things I said and did, I did out of ignorance, and most of the bad stuff people talk about me saying was from 5+ years ago, before I got any help, before I had anyone to walk me through these incredibly complex emotions and opinions that were ingrained in my head since childhood.

I just wish that people could see I had no malice or ill intent, I wish people could realize they’re way overthinking my actions and taking things a lot more personally than they were ever meant to be. Maybe if they could see this for what it is rather than assuming I’m a villain who purposefully did everything wrong, they could learn to move on in a healthy way.

I understand I did a lot of harm and there’s no undoing that.

But I do NOT deserve to be accused of pedophilia. Pedophilia has literally ruined my life and my perception of the world. I’m a victim too, and just because I became an adult doesn’t mean I suddenly know right from wrong. That’s not how becoming an adult works. You’re allowed to make mistakes as an adult, being an adult doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes any more. Yes it’s easier to say to someone ‘you were just a kid, it was a mistake, you didn’t know any better’, but adults have a hard time knowing ‘any better’ too. We’re always growing and learning and I’d like to think people are smart enough to see that I have grown in to a better person.

I hope people can find it in their hearts to forgive me, but I fear some people are too far gone down the rabbit hole of being convinced that everything was on purpose and from malice, that I’m some evil mastermind who thrives on manipulation and taking advantage of kids. I’ve only ever associated with 2 minors since becoming an adult and I have no intention of associating with any more that aren’t directly connected to my family or my friends.

Anyone who actually knows me would know I have a 0 tolerance for IRL pedophilia, when I found out a member of one of my groups was showing nudes to minors he was immediately kicked out and I kept tabs on the situation to make sure he’d be caught by police. When a member in my server was exposed for ERP and orbiting with a minor, I kicked him out too.

I worry about kids to a point that it’s part of my PTSD, I have anxiety attacks just worrying about how a kid might be getting harmed, the last thing I want to do is bring harm to them.

And I did cause harm, I didn’t know that was what I was doing, but I did, because I wasn��t mature enough to understand how to interact with kids as an adult. And again, I’m just incredibly sorry things had to even come to this. I’m not lying when I say I think about this every single day, and sometimes spiral in to really bad anxiety because of it. It affects me heavily.

I want to move on.

And I want the people affected to move on too.

Because dwelling on this isn’t going to do anyone any good.

My Issue With Narumayo and Narumitsu Shippers

Just to be clear, I have nothing against Narumayo. The only issue I have with it is that I don’t like colleague dating, especially if it is an employee hooking up with their boss. Though, this is only a pet peeve at best and it isn’t illegal. I just consider it distasteful and I feel no different about Justicykes. Though, this isn’t about that or my distaste for Narumayo. I just wanted to make it clear I don’t have anything against anyone that may like Narumayo. You can like whatever ship you want or not like whatever ship you don’t like. It’s your right. Same with Narumitsu, since I am a fan of that ship myself.

That being said, I will call out any BS claims about a ship by those that oppose it. I’m talking about both sides. Just to be clear, the “fans” of both ships that do this are a very small minority compared to the entire Narumayo/Narumitsu fan base. It just goes without saying that the more eggs you place in the carton, the more bad eggs you will find in that carton, even if it is a small percentage or number.

For the Narumayo fans, I am talking about the claim that the opposing ship fans cherry picks reasons from canon as reasons for their ship being canon, even though they’re not proof that the two parties are in love and could just as much equal a platonic relationship. I mostly see this from Narumayo fans towards Narumitsu shippers where they make fun of how Narumitsu shippers depend on the “Unnecessary feelings” line as their reason they support their ship. Point taken, except don’t Narumayo shippers do the very same thing? They depend on the words from a sheltered 8-year-old little girl that doesn’t know how to read, let alone understand what romance is. I’m not going to say we Narumitsu fans never scrape the bottom of the barrel for proof that our ship is canon, but Narumayo fans literally do the very same thing.

Other reasons Narumayo shippers claim their ship is “canon” is because Phoenix is always concerned and trying to save Maya. Again, didn’t Phoenix do the same for Miles in Turnabout Goodbyes? How is Phoenix saving Miles from having his life ruined or getting the death penalty any different from saving Maya from the hands of Shelly De Killer or the Minister of Justice in a foreign nation? What? Because Phoenix saved Maya more times than Miles? Bold excuse. If that is your argument, then I guess Phoenix loves Maya more than Trucy, because he only felt concerned for her safety during the one time she was kidnapped. Phoenix saving Maya constantly doesn’t mean he’s in love with her or cares about her more than Miles or anyone else, just like Miles saying “unnecessary feelings” doesn’t mean he’s in love with Phoenix. Even though I like Narumitsu, I am aware that they are not canonly in love, just like a majority of Narumitsu and Narumayo fans, that cherry pick excuses that probably doesn’t mean romantic, already know their ship is not canon.

I do understand that many noncanon shippers that cherry pick reasons from canon that don’t equal their ship being canon can come off as annoying. They can get very obnoxious. Though, you cannot claim that your ship is better when it does the very same thing. You’re basically the pot calling the kettle black. The same would go for Narumitsu shippers that are calling out Narumayo shippers for the same thing. The only difference between Narumitsu and Narumayo is the sexuality and backstories of the characters involved in the ship. Though, to the Narumayo shippers’ defense, at least they don’t accuse the other ship of being a pedo ship. Get ready, because I’m about to rip the Narumitsu pedo accusers a new one.

Maya is NOT a minor. She owns her own place, works a full time job, pays the bills and even cared for a child only a year later. Also, being Ace Attorney takes place in Japan, the age of consent in that country is 13 years old, so 17-year-olds dating 23 or 24-year-olds is not considered pedo. Even if you were to call her a minor, by California’s standards, which already has BS laws about 10-year-old little girls being allowed to marry or have sex with older men with parental consent, Maya was only age 17 during the first three months she was with Phoenix. I doubt if he is going to remember Maya being a minor for those three months out of the 12 years they’ve known each other. Count the months between Turnabout Sisters to Turnabout Goodbyes, technically that is three and a half months in total. That is literally how long Maya was 17 years old hanging around with Phoenix. That’s hardly enough time to ask her out on a date, let alone falling in love with her.

Another thing, people like Phoenix, falling in love with young people like Maya, happens more often than you think. Again, Maya lives like an adult, so it would make just as much sense for Phoenix to be attracted to Maya, especially since she looks almost like his ex girlfriend. Men fall in love with very young women. I’m not going to say it’s tasteful, but that’s how the real world works. In the real world, men like Miles Edgeworth will date young women like Ema Skye. Yes, she was a minor when he first met her. She also grew older and of consent. I’m not saying it’s right or tasteful, but that is the real world. Men love them women young and ripe. Does it make them pedophiles? No. It’s distasteful, but they’re not pedophiles. Falling in love with someone, who is an adult, you’ve only met as a minor for a few months or so before they grew into an adult, does not count. It takes more than a few months to fall in love and even attraction itself isn’t always there when you first meet the person you are dating. With every shipper, you need to think ahead. I doubt most Narumayo shippers have their ship shipped together during the time of the first game. It’s likely they’re shipped together after the trilogy or Spirit of Justice.

In truth, both Narumayo and Narumitsu ships equally have potential. There’s no reason for either ship to go against each other. It’s petty. Neither ship is canon or makes more sense than the other. They’re equally okay, if done correctly. I’ve seen Narumayo where Miles Edgeworth is supportive of Phoenix and Maya getting together. Same with Narumitsu with Maya being highly supportive. Hell, most Narumitsu fan fictions have Maya as the one trying to pin Miles and Phoenix together like Pearl tried to do with Phoenix and Maya. Now, as I said before, I consider Narumayo distasteful, because of the employee x boss thing and the fact Maya is the younger sister of Phoenix’s dead boss. Of course, my reasons are from experiences and I know not everyone shares mine. You don’t have to like a ship and it can be for whatever reason under the sun, but that’s not a reason to accuse the opposing ship of something your ship does or of something they’re not.

Before you are to accuse a ship of being a pedo ship, always think ahead. Is the ship of an adult having romantic feelings or doing romantic things with a child? Do the shippers ship them together when either character is a minor? If no for all of them, it’s not a pedo ship. Even if character A has known character B since character B was a minor before being shipped, that doesn’t make it pedo. It might be distasteful, due to the age gap or having known the other character since they were a minor, but it is NOT a pedo ship. It only is when either character in a ship is a minor the moment they are shipped, get together, fall in love or the older one crushes on the younger. Always. think. ahead.

The same goes for any ship accusing the other of cherry picking reasons for their ship to be canon when it’s not. If your ship is also not canon, then why even call the other one out for cherry picking? Narumayo and Narumitsu cherry pick reasons for their ship being canon all the dang time. Narumitsu’s reasons for claiming their ship is canon are no more reasonable than Narumayo’s reasons for the same thing. I’ll even list the basic excuses Narumitsu shippers use to prove their ship is canon:

“I have been settled with unnecessary feelings,” Turnabout Goodbyes, Phoenix was angry at Miles for leaving him in Justice For All, Phoenix pined for Miles since he was a child, Phoenix became a Defense Attorney because of Miles two times, Phoenix helps Miles with cases more times than anyone else including Maya, Miles had helped Phoenix retrieve back his badge, they fight like a married couple in court, Miles helped Phoenix save Maya the two times she was kidnapped, Miles had helped Phoenix investigate in the two later games, Miles denying wishing for marriage in Turnabout Time Traveler, Miles bringing up Phoenix so many times that I could make a drinking game out of it in Miles Edgeworth Investigations 1 and 2, Phoenix calling Miles ‘Daddy’ in Dual Destinies, Miles telling Phoenix he should ‘strip naked’ in Farewell my Turnabout, the creator saying that Phoenix would find Miles ‘cute’ in a Steel Samurai costume and Miles telling Phoenix “as you wish” for anyone making a Princess Bride reference.

There is more, but those are all I could think of. If you can think of one reason for any Narumayo shipper to believe their ship is anymore reasonably canon than all of the Narumitsu excuses I’ve listed, I may reconsider, but I have found non. I’d argue that not all of these excuses are unreasonable to assume the two parties maybe in love. It still could mean something platonic, but it can easily mean something different, if they were the opposite sex. And yes, it’s the same with Narumayo; some of their excuses are reasonable, but that’s the point. Most of the excuses I listed are obviously dumb reasons like the “strip naked” part, but it’s not unreasonable to think there might be something more between them based on Phoenix pining for Miles or Miles constantly thinking or admiring Phoenix in his own games and comics. The same can be said for Phoenix and Maya. It’s not unreasonable to think Maya might have feelings for Phoenix based on the fact she talked about him a lot after leaving for the Kurain Village in Turnabout Goodbyes. Not my thing, but I can understand why people ship Phoenix and Maya, because I ship Phoenix and Miles for many of the same reasons.

Some Other Headcanons and other shit.. I have.. I don't think I ever saw them before so...

I like doing this so why not.

Randy teaches Stan or gives Stan lessons in science and helps with his science homework and tests.

Why i think this?

While Randy is mostly a moron. He is a geologist so he must be good at science. I also see him teaching that to bond with Stan. And even Stan doesn't want to do it Randy would still do it because Stan does obey to his father most of the time. I can totally see Randy teaching Stan the whole periodic table. I just can't see Stan bringing a bad grade in Science home and Randy doing nothing about it? It's not Randy's character he would absolutely do something about it? also because of fearing being embarrassed by his child. A geologist with a PhD but having a child that got a D at the last Science test? No no no. Also Randy teaches Stan how to dance in an episode, which name i forgot and I'm to lazy to look up right now. And even Sharon was against it or not really because it's beneficial for Stan. But of course Randy does take things sometimes too far. Randy would still do it, because he's doing what he wants anyway.

I don't see him doing it with Shelly because isn't really interested in bonding with her. And he doesn't care about her.

Laura isn't Craig's Mother. But Thomas is his father and he cheated on Laura with another woman who died.

This is just a new idea popped in my head basically. Also because Craig's black hair. In the end of Season 20, Laura tells Sheila her husband, has been looking on websites " dating but married". Because of this I assume he was cheating on her before and had a child with this woman. Craig. This woman was likely a black haired woman who died at giving birth to Craig. After she died Thomas was alone with Craig but shortly after got back together with Laura

Kyle is sore about not being part of the All State basketballteam that he refuses to participate in the school teams because he feels like he's to good at it?

Okay this is just my personal idea. And also because I like Kyle being a pissy a little... Also we don't see him in the school teams? Elementary school musical? Skankhunt?? He wasn't there. Or he was just so traumatised by the experiment that he lost all confidence and quit. He's absolutely fantastic at it and maybe Stan tries to convince him to play for the school, but since Kyle is never seen in the school teams. It's assumed he is not.

Token's musical talent or him playing basketball. is more because he is a black guy imo. It's the racists stereotypes south park makes fun of: " every black guy can sing", " or every black guy is good at basketball." With Stan it feels more natural. Because he inherits the musical talent from his father. We have yet to see Tokens parents being musically inclined. (this is just an opinion i hope not to make anyone mad). But Token probably couldn't sing if he was white. So this is more of a using a stereotype and making fun of it. After all he is the Token Black guy? Ofc it still doesn't change the fact Token can sing and is talented.

The main four are can do alot of things teenagers/adults do. Like doing taxes, driving, booking a flight, travel etc...

This is based on the adventures they had on the earlier seasons and how they're parents don't pay attention to it. It's also stated in Pandemic by Craig that they don't normal kids stuff like normal kids do. Also you never see Craig, Clyde or Token travelling on their own. It's mostly accompanied by one of the main four, or organised like in Free Willix.

Henrietta dyes her hair.

She has actually blonde hair like her brother Bradley. But because she hates " looking like a preppy cheerleader" she dyes it black, Also because she hated her mother gushing about her being blonde.

Stan hasn't kissed a girl because it's not normal for a child to kiss. They are children and it's not normal for 8 to 10 year old to go kissing around. Stan represents the normal child. Child dating is awkward and is presented with Stan and Wendy. This does not mean he is this way until his teenage years and doesn't know how to talk to girls properly. So he will most likely have his first kiss around 13/14/15 and his first time around 17/18. Or have you've been kissing at the age of 8 9 or 10? Probably not. Also i read somewhere for a child it's better they are not in a relationship for they're development and confidence. And I can see that. Also my opinion. These kisses they do as children don't really count. They have no meaning. I mean they are children they have no idea what being in love is. So Kyle never having a girlfriend or Stan never kissed anyone as a child doesn't really bother anyone after they are teenagers.

Also children are fickle as fuck. When I was in 5th grade I had a crush on 4 different boys and I didn't even know them that well. I was like " Oh he looks cute. Now I have a crush on him.".

I like shipping too. But I do it how I believe the characters would be as teenagers and do it then. If that makes sense? I don't change the basic traits. Like Stan being an animal lover, Kyle being a hothead and smart, Cartman being a sociopath, or Kenny being perverted and caring for his sister etc... It's just they have matured and how they're homelifes affects their personality. With Randy doing stupid shit all the time I can see Stan more and more becoming a person with a deadpan humor when he's older.

A:TLA romantic ships part 1

yes, no one asked for my opinions, yes I will give them anyway, yes because I have decided making a bunch of meaningless decisions and arguing for them will improve my mental state, yes I watched the show all in one very sleep deprived go and i’m not interested in rewatching it so yes I have absolutely no sources, yes this is a really long grammatical nightmare because I don’ t know how to be succinct and i use way more words than necessary at any opportunity because if my point doesn’ t come across exactly like i intend it will greatly upset me, no I have not yet watched Korra or read the comics because i’m tired now let’s do this.

from 0 I despise people who ship this immediately to 10 I will read absolutely anything with this, I love it and could draw it for hours on how much I think the relationship would be good and how happy it makes me

haters say katara was just the avatar’s trophy girl, as if aang didnt kiss the ground she walked on and wouldnt stop telling anyone how amazing she is. Katara was the first face he saw from the new world and they immediately became friends. she was so excited to meet another bender, he clearly is trying to impress her and it is working, he listens to her about bending and offers to take her to the other side of the world to master water, TELL ME at this moment she is not ride or die and she doesn’t even know he’s the avatar, he lets her feel like a kid again, which is a feeling she’s forgotten after years of being a mother to sokka and the children. he literally sweeps her off her feet to save her from the fire nations ship i-. rewatched boy in the iceberg and hoo boy had canon not messed it up, this ship could have been legendary

hard to imagine older them working out what with the whole last airbender, preserve air nomad culture, let’s travel the world bc nomadic lifestyle, what’s marriage i’m a monk without biological family values vs last southern waterbender, preserve southern water tribe culture, I believe in the power of family and am ridiculously dedicated to my tribe, let me go home to my father and tribe shtick, but I don’t care for after the show finishes much except for following the gang fix the world so I don’t really care about the marriage issue

canon was good until that Mess in season 3, WHY did he kiss her after that speech, wish they talked that out properly, wish he learned letting go of her to open the 7th chakra was the only right decision, wish the ending was a little more vague in ships and just left things open but yk whatever

that finale kiss was sweet, they hugged foremost as friends, no blushing, and then got the fuzzies, that moment standing alone? a+ but without any talking about what happened on ember island, a little unsatisfying

overall, fine ship, not my favourite nor do I actively ship it, but I see a kataang moment, i’m like, sweet so I give it a 6

Zutara (apparently fans are zutarians which looks like an alien race, plus points)

latter half of the show had quite a lot of Zutara potential, but idk about Zutara actual

katara was so ready to drop his ass, no way at the start

there is only one dynamic between them in which I can see Zutara working and that is as in the Stalking Zuko by emletish series where katara is so distrusting over zuko she takes to stalking him to make sure he isn’t doing anything to hurt Aang or about to betray them (her) again but he is just such a sweet dork who keeps trying to apologise to her even while she’s apologising to him for being a bitch that she can’t help but start to trust him, i’m a third into the third book in the series not stalking firelord zuko and I am thriving and tbh this is the only situation where I accept zutara, read the series I love it

age gap is weird, I know it’s the same difference between kataang but they made a point of zuko being older in the show also he’s so much taller and I don’t like 16 year old boys with 14 year old girlfriends in real life and so would katara because jet

katara has a bad experience with bad boy sword weilders (jet) but I guess you could see it as the start of her type idk

they are both the moms of the Gaang. sokka is the fun dad.

there is a parallel between their families, with the leader of their people dad, mom who left the picture when they were young, an older brother who is not a prodigy at/can’ t bend their respective element so they become proficient at swords instead, prodigy at bending younger sister with a violent streak. this is why I see zutara as potentially a really close friendship, almost siblings, but not a romance because to me katara is a little too like azula for comfort...

tbh I think a lot of folk shipped it because ooh fire boy and water girl (not the game) that’ s perfect, and bam army of zutarians

overall, kind of weird but ok and good grounds for humour so I give it a 4

Jetkara (bad ship name, why would you like this, minus points)

Character Recap! Gen 2

After a good break to sort my life out, I decided that it would be good to do an update on everybody (yup, this is one of those posts) Why, you ask? Because I enjoy driving myself crazy by creating unnecessary amounts of work for myself - but y’all knew that already 😂 Keeping in line with that theme, one night at 4am I decided that I wanted to revamp my character pages (which ended up being my whole Tumblr theme) which would require updated pictures of everybody. I don’t know what possessed me to dredge up my old coding knowledge - if you can even call it knowledge- but I’m still in the process of finishing the character pages for gen 3 because there’s so many of them. 😅

Even though we’re on gen 3 officially, these characters are still mentioned in some parts of the story, and I also find it hard to let go of these since they’re my OG 8, the first sims born in game that I’ve ‘raised’. I’ve only just had the time to sit down and calculate peoples ages, meaning that the first 2 couples should technically still be adults, but I’m not reversing the aging process - we’re too far in 😂

I’ve updated my character’s page for gen 2 (gen 3 is almost done, but this isn’t about them 😂) I decided to add the ‘labels’ for each couples (where they fall on the fundie scale) because then it would align with what I do for gen 3′s character pages and how I label them. I tried to summarize all the ‘yikes’ bits of the relationships with the bulletpoints to truly highlight the 🥴-iness of it all you know?

Allan & Casandra

Meet Allan (54) and Casandra Collins (51) - Here’s a quick recap of their relationship:

They met at Family Bible Camp at 22 and 18 respectively, and were married 5 months later - both had their first kiss at the altar.

They continued to live as quiverfull fundamentalists after their marriage, subscribing to conservative biblical modesty standards, meaning that Casandra (and their subsequent daughters) wear skirts and dresses. They pledged to allow the Lord to decide their family size which led to 15 children - 13 living and 2 miscarriages.

Allan works as the Head Pastor at Newcrest Baptist Church along with being on the Board of Directors for the Centre For Learning and Life, whilst Casandra homeschools their children still at home and ministers to the women of the church in her duties as the Pastor’s wife. When she’s not doing that she’s visiting her grandchildren that live in town, or traveling to see the children and grandchildren that live elsewhere.

Meet Branden (52) and Lea (50) Collins - A recap of their relationship

They met when Lea’s family visited Newcrest Baptist so her father could give the sermon as the visiting pastor when he was 17 and she was 16, and they were married a year later - they saved their first kiss for their wedding day.

They had trouble having children for the first year and a half of their marriage, eventually having their twin girls Abbey and Brittany (28), their son Tanner (25) joined the family 3 years later.

Branden is now a retired Christian novelist, whose books have been bestsellers and he travels from church to church to run writing seminars for authors who are hoping to make it in the business. Lea stays at home and tends to her garden now that all their children are grown. She started the garden in their time before children and that garden has grown to be a local hit - she’s been selling the honey made by their bees and runs workshops to teach young women how to start their gardens to promote healthy eating. She travels along with Branden when he's teaching somewhere, and if she doesn’t she’s visiting her grandchildren.

Claire & Ryan

Meet Claire (51) and Ryan Paulson (55) - Here’s their recap:

They met when Claire travelled with a music group to perform at Ryan’s home church when she was 20 and he was 24, they were engaged 3 months later and married 3 months after that - they too had their first kiss at the altar.

They too pledged to allow the Lord to decide their family size and ended up having 10 children, like their parents they subscribe to conservative biblical modesty standards, meaning that the girls in the family wear skirts and dresses only.

Ryan runs his own IT business whilst Claire is a renowned Christian musician. Despite her immense talent, Claire’s main focus was and still is homeschooling her children and being a keeper of the home. As Ryan is his own boss, he is able to travel with Claire whenever she travels to teach of perform, she’s taught their children (who’ve seemingly inherited her talent) and the family performs at various events.

Meet Danielle (51) and Sebastian (53) Hunt - Here’s a recap of their lives:

They met when he moved to Newcrest for his Veterinary residency and started attending their church, where during their courtship they both realised they had a shared love of nature and animals. 6 months later they were married, at the ages of 28 and 30.

They struggled to have children, and when Danielle did get pregnant 3 years into the marriage they ended up losing that pregnancy in the 3rd trimester - Danielle was pregnant with a baby girl they named Sarah. The next year they got pregnant and had their son James (19), and 4 years later they had their daughter Gabriela (15).

Sebastian runs a Vet Clinic in Brindleton Bay and Danielle stays at home to homeschool Gabriela, she does work at the clinic when she has the time and is responsible for the bookkeeping.

Elaine & Taylor

Meet Elaine (48) and Taylor (49) Godwin - Here’s a recap of their lives so far:

They met when Taylor moved to Newcrest to be a commuter into the city for his job as an engineer, and started attending their church. They courted for a year before marrying at the ages of 24 and 25.

They had their daughter Kyra (23) a year into their marriage, followed by twins Rory and Ruby Rae (17) 6 years later, Ava Grace (15) was born 2 years after the twins, and the youngest Amelia (11) was born 4 years after Ava.

Taylor works as a mechanical engineer whilst Elaine uses her teaching degree to homeschool the children and teach at the local homeschool co-op. Elaine wanted her children to have the experience of being taught by more than one person, but wanted control of their curriculum, meaning that the co-op was the best thing for them.

Fletcher & Cara

Here’s Fletcher (45) and Cara Collins (44) - Here’s a recap of their lives:

They met at Cara’s university when Fletcher was 22 and Cara was 20 and married 3 years later at the ages of 24 and 23 respectively. They set their own standards and therefore kissed before marriage. 7 years into their marriage they had their only child, a son that names James Lee (14)

Whilst Fletcher was raised in a conservative, fundamentalist household, Cara was raised in a less strict conservative Christian home and they chose to realign with less strict rules for their lives.

Fletcher works as a Sergeant for the Newcrest Police Department and Cara works as a fundraising specialist for the local Conservative party in Newcrest.

Grayson and Keira

Meet Grayson (42) and Keira (40) Collins - Here’s a recap of their lives:

They met when Keira moved to Newcrest to work as a Nurse in the pediatrics ward at Newcrest General hospital, Grayson had begun his rotations and they were in the same orientation group. Keira also joined Newcrest Baptist, their relationship blossomed from there and married after dating for a year and a half at the ages of 26 and 24.

They were open to having as many children as the Lord saw fit to provide, and they had their son Matthew (14) 2 years into their marriage, followed by their son Archie (11) 3 years later. There were complications during Archie’s birth that lead to Keira having a partial hysterectomy to save her life, meaning that their family is complete with their 2 boys.

Grayson works as an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at Newcrest General, and Keira worked as a Nurse until they had their children. They’ve chosen to homeschool their children until high school, after which they enroll them in a private Christian high school. Once Archie the youngest moves into high school, Keira plans to return back to work at the hospital.

Harley & Gabriel

Meet Harley (42) and Gabriel (45) Barnard - Here’s a recap of their relationship:

They met at a dinner party in San Myshuno, they became fast friends and started dating a year after they met. They dated for 2 years before getting married at the ages of 28 and 21.

Harley was the first of her female siblings to go to college, she has a 1st class degree in Fine Arts with a focus on Fashion. She’s also the first of her female siblings to work a full time job. After going to college, Harley realised she was more like her older brother Fletcher and his wife in terms of beliefs, so when she married Gabriel they both agreed that in terms of beliefs that they’d attend a conservative non-fundamentalist church in San Myshuno. They both chose not to have children, so they spend time with their nieces and nephews, as well as the children their nieces and nephews.

Gabriel works as the Head Chef of a 5 star restaurant in the city, and Harley is the Editor-in-Chief of the popular fashion magazine ‘Myshuno Madness’

God I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally all I think about is getting married and having babies lmao I'm hitting like a quarter life crisis about it tbh

44. How many boyfriends/girlfriends have you had?

I've been in a lot of weird half-relationships where we're sort of together but not officially, or not for very long. But "officially" I was in a relationship with one guy for about a year, and then I was in another relationship with a different guy for almost 4 years. Both were not good.

55. Share a relationship story.

Okay so I don't know if this counts because we were like, tweens, but this guy I went to summer camp with decided he was going to be my boyfriend, even though I really had no desire to be his girlfriend. We were just friends, and he wasn't really taking the hint, but I was at that point too nice to really challenge him on it. Well it got to be such a thing, that he went out and bought me a CROSS as a 'we're going steady' present. That was about when I was like "oh no no no no no, you've severely misunderstood things buddy", and broke off whatever weird relationship we had sort of found ourselves in. And again, I use that term loosely because like I was 11 and he was 13 or something awkward lmfao

66. What is your favourite roleplay?

Lol I'm a real big sucker for my partner thinking/acting like they're in charge.

77. What’s your opinion on age differences in relationships?

I think it depends entirely on the ages of the people involved. Like, let's say a 10 year age gap. If you've just turned 18 and your new boyfriend is approaching 30, you're dating a pedophile. However if you're 28 and your boyfriend is approaching 40, that's completely fine. The difference is, the younger of the pair is still old enough to be a self-sufficient person all on their own.

Too often, older partners will prey on the vulnerability of younger people as a means to manipulate them. Why are men in their 20s dating highschoolers? Why are men in their 30s dating girls straight out of college? It's an opportunity for them to ingrain themselves into their partner's lives and make it nearly impossible for them to leave, and I find it disgusting.

I know folks think it's so sexy and hot, but there's something fundamentally wrong with men who aren't able to find women in their own age bracket attractive/desirable/relatable. This is of course in regards to age gaps where the younger of the pair is barely an adult. Once you're in your 30s I feel like everything is pretty fair game lol. Like I have no problem being 30 dating someone who is 50, because at that point I'll have enough life experience, financial stability, hopefully my own place/job/friend circle to fall back on should things go south.

78. What’s your dirtiest secret?

I think I'll be keeping this one to myself -- gotta leave some things to the imagination, after all! ;)

Sanders Sides AU-gust Day 20: Single Parent

Logan needs a nanny to watch his 3 sons. Patton wants to take care of kids. Sparks fly and chaos ensues. Patton POV, logicality with creativitwins, familial Intruprinxiety and dad!Logan Ages: Logan(37), Patton(35), Remus and Roman(7), Virgil(10)

Day 19 | Masterlist | Day 21

Patton smiled at the cheery tune the chimes played as he stepped into the cafe. He checked his phone again to reread the email he had been given just a few minutes ago. He said he was sitting at one of the tables wearing a black polo, blue tie, and glasses. Patton fought back a giggle as he scanned the tables. This reminds me more of a blind date than a job interview- there he is! Patton quickly made his way over to the small table in the back of the cafe. His potential employer was hunched over his phone, reading an article of some sort. Patton stopped when he was a foot away from the table and spoke up. “Mr. Sanders?” The man’s head shot up, and Patton fought down a blush. He had assumed that Mr. Sanders would be an older man, in his late 40s or early 50s. He didn’t look a day over 30. No time for gay panicking! Patton fiddled with the sleeves of his cardigan. “I’m Patton Hart. The one applying for the nanny position?”

Mr. Sanders nodded. “Of course. Take a seat.” He gestured to the seat across from him and Patton sat down eagerly, trying not to let his nervousness show. As far as Patton was aware, he basically already had the job, and this was just a customary interview to make sure that Patton didn’t lie about anything in his application. Still, Patton couldn’t help but fear nervous. Patton tried to ignore his anxiety and focus on what Mr. Sanders was saying. “So, Mr. Hart-”

“Please, Mr. Hart’s my father. Call me Patton, please.” If Mr. Sanders noticed the was that Patton nervously tugged on his cardigan sleeves, he didn’t say anything.

“Patton, then.” Patton smiled appreciatively. “Would you like to order a beverage before we begin?” Mr. Sanders used his coffee cup to gesture towards the front of the cafe.

Patton blushed. “No thank you. I tend to talk more with my hands when I’m excited or nervous. I’ve learned from past experience to not have hot drinks around when that happens” Patton used his head to gesture towards his hands as he spoke, which were gesturing as he spoke.

Mr. Sanders gave him a look before continuing. “Alright. I will go over your application and ask a series of questions. If you feel as if a question is too invasive, please let me know.” Patton nodded, and with that, the interview began. “Patton Sanders, 35 years old. Raised in North Carolina. According to your previous employers, you’ve done extremely well with children in the past. You’ve dealt with kids at almost every age. You’ve been shown to successfully perform both the Heimlich Maneuver and CPR. You have also been employed as a tutor and have multiple years of volunteer work at shelters and public schools. It says here that you recently moved here a few weeks ago. Are you intending on pursuing any other job while employed as a caretaker?”

Patton shook his head. “The original offer you gave should be enough for me to afford my apartment.”

Mr. Sanders blinked, and Patton suddenly felt like he’d done something wrong. “I’m afraid there was a communication error somewhere. Allow me to clarify: you would be staying in my house while working for me.”

Now it was Patton’s turn to blink. “What?”

Mr. Sanders frowned, adjusting his glasses as he spoke. “I am very dedicated to my job, Patton. Sadly, my job requires me to have extremely flexible hours. It would be incredibly redundant to have you stay from 8 AM to 5 PM, then have to hire a sitter from 5 PM to 11 PM. There would also be several benefits on your end. Unless you started using an excessive amount of food or utilities, you would not have to pay for food or housing. You would be staying in the guest bedroom, and you would have every Sunday off, which is my day off as well.”

Patton rubbed the back of the neck sheepishly. “I think I remember reading that in the advertisement, but I assumed it was less of a requirement and more of an option.”

Mr. Sanders steepled his fingers as he stared at Patton. “I apologize, but it would be necessary for you to stay in the guest bedroom in order to ensure that my children have constant adult supervision. If you do not wish to be employed, I completely understand-”

“No!” Both men were surprised by Patton’s shouting. Patton blushed as he continued. “I still want the job, I just didn’t want to waste your living space if it was optional. If it’s mandatory then I’ll take the room. I’ll just have to wait for my lease to end in a few weeks.”

Mr. Sanders nodded. “Alright. Next question: why do you wear your cardigan around your neck?”

Patton smiled. “I don’t get cold very easily, but I always have my cardigan on me just in case. Besides, it makes me look more friendly and fun. Kids like to call it my superhero cape!” He struck a dramatic pose, and he felt a surge of triumph when Mr. Sanders' mouth quirked up slightly.

They went through several more questions before Mr. Sanders smiled, holding out his hand. “I believe you would get along well with my children. I understand that you would like to wait until your lease ends to move in, but I would appreciate it if you start a daily shift on Sunday. I will be there to make sure that you interact well with them. Does that sound satisfactory?”

Patton nodded, shaking Mr. Sanders' hand. “Sound’s like a plan, Mr. Sanders!”

“Please, call me Logan.” Patton smiled as he heard the name. Logan. It’s fitting.

“Well, Logan, what are your kids like? I was given general ages and names, but nothing else. What are their favorite colors and activities? Any allergies or disliked food? Any mental illnesses, disorders, or sensitive topics that I should know about?”

Logan took out his phone and showed Patton the lock screen. It was a photo of Logan with three children. Two identical twins posed in red and green respectively, while the third child looked slightly older with a baggy purple hoodie. “The twins are Roman and Remus, 7 years old. Roman always dresses in red, while Remus dresses in green. They both have extremely vivid imaginations, and they get upset when you don’t participate. Patton smiled as he listened to Logan describing his kids. It was clear from the tone of his voice that he deeply cared about his kids. “I’m sure they’re lovely. I can’t wait to meet them!”

Logan nodded, moving to stand up. “I assure you they’re just as excited to meet you. I’ll email you my address.”

“Oh, wait!” Patton reached into his pocket and pulled out an ink pen. He then grabbed a clean napkin from the table and scribbled his number onto it. He handed the napkin to Logan. “Here’s my phone number. It would be best if we have each other’s numbers in case of an emergency.”

Logan took the napkin, and Patton suppressed the shiver he felt from where their fingers met. “I’ll be sure to contact you with my address as soon as I get home.”

Patton blushed, moving to leave. “Alrighty then. See you on Sunday!”

Logan nodded. “Farewell.”

Patton smiled before hurrying out of the cafe. He quickly drove to his apartment, not stopping until he was inside of his (soon to not be) home. He gently caressed his own fingers, blushing as he remembered the electricity he’d felt from their fingers touching.

Patton shook his head, but the grin and blush he had never faded. “Logan Sanders.” He whispered to himself. Patton then tilted his head curiously. Logan Sanders…where have I heard of that name before?

Patton went over to his bed and pulled out his laptop. Search: Logan Sanders. Patton flipped through several websites until he saw Logan’s face. He quickly clicked on the article and gasped.

Logan Sanders, 37 years old, was just appointed as the CEO of Logic Tech two months ago. That’s where I recognize his name! I can’t believe he works for Logic Tech. Isn’t that the same company that he used to work for?

Bzzz.

Patton slammed his laptop shut, suddenly feeling like he’d done something wrong. Was this technically invading Logan’s privacy? It was an article that Patton could easily access at any time (he was pretty sure he’d read it before), but did that mean it was okay? Was Patton in the wrong for searching for Logan’s name?

Patton’s phone buzzed again and he nearly threw his laptop. He tried to calm his racing heartbeat as he checked his phone.

?- (4:13 PM) Salutations. This is Logan Sanders.

P- (4:14 PM) Patton Hart here! You have the right number

L- (4:14 PM) That is good

Patton was then sent an address.

P- (4:15 PM) You want me to start on Sunday, right? What time?

L- (4:15 PM) 3:00 sounds amenable. Since it is my day off, you won’t need to be there in the morning.

P- (4:16 PM) Alrighty then! I’ll see you on Sunday!

Patton smiled as he turned off his phone. He was going to meet the children on Sunday! And seeing Logan again would be a nice bonus.

2. Would you rather be twice as smart or twice as happy? I’d take happiness easily. It’s not bad for the most part to make mistakes and I’d rather be too clumsy than be altogether miserable.

42. What one dead person would you most like to have dinner with, if it were possible? My great-grandpa died all the way back in the 70s, even before some of my aunts and uncles could meet him. It would be cool to spend time with him.

43. Do you think it’s important to stay up to date with the news? Yeah, absolutely. I have the stomach for it lol, so I always monitor what’s happening locally and globally. Skipping the news from time to time is fine because I get how anxiety-inducing and depressing some events can be, but there’s a huge difference between ignoring the news for your mental health and being indifferent altogether. I’d immediately judge anyone who’s the latter, and would assume you are incredibly privileged.

44. What is the best present you could ever receive? My money refunded -____________- I had food delivered to my director, Bea’s house as a surprise earlier today, but apparently I ran into a scammer driver and the fucker drove away with the meal I had bought for Bea. I reported the driver and the situation, and thankfully the customer service rep of the food delivery app quickly responded and said they’d return the full amount I paid for; but I still haven’t received it.

45. Would you give up one of your fingers if it meant you’d have free wifi wherever you go, for the rest of your life? No. Mobile data exists for a reason.

1.) where did they grow up in night city? if not from night city, where are they from?

Vida was born in Watson, but she spent most of her childhood in Heywood. As a child she was passed from distant relative to distant relative after her teenage mother couldn’t take care of her, and she just... eventually landed in Heywood with her aunt.

2.) what lifepath did they choose? [street kid/corpo/nomad/other]

Street kid!

3.) what are the reasons they chose that path?

Like my other girls, it was what she knew. Vida never had a chance to really be anything else, and the streets were her home.

4.) childhood hero?

Morgan Blackhand. Vida saw him as the everything that a solo should be, and in turn exactly what she wanted to be. She read The Solo’s Manual almost religiously.

5.) who raised them?

For the most part, her Aunt Calla, which... was an interesting experience, since Calla was only 19 when Vida ended up in her care. That said, Calla actually ended up being a good mother figure, and even though they were poor, Vida was always provided for and loved.

6.) how would you describe their childhood?

Honestly pretty average? Her early years were a bit turbulent when she was being passed around, but she doesn’t really remember that time. She was a pretty normal kid, maybe a bit shy, but... there was nothing really spectacular about her upbringing.

7.) did they have any childhood pets?

One pet fish named Chips when she was 10. He only lasted a few months, and she never got another pet after that.

8.) were they well-off, poor or somewhere in between when growing up?

Poor. Calla and Vida stayed pretty steadily just below the poverty line for Vida’s entire childhood.

9.) what kind of education did they receive?

The same as most of the other kids on the street. Most of her knowledge came from adults with time and willingness to teach. She did learn Japanese from the cook at Calla’s favorite restaurant, though, which came in handy.

10.) were they raised to follow a religion? do they still practice?

Calla was a very spiritual woman, and her beliefs weren’t limited to the Christian God. She taught Vida about multiple different religions, wanting her to know as much as she possibly could about the world. Her beliefs as an adult are muddled — believing one day, and not the next. It’s definitely a complicated relationship.

11.) who is the most important person from their childhood?

Probably Calla or even Max. Vida and Max met when they were around 10 years old, and have been friends ever since. Max was her first real friend, and one of the only ones that stuck with her in the long haul.

12.) what is the biggest lesson they learned growing up?

To stand her ground and not take shit. Calla made damn sure Vida knew her worth and wouldn’t let anyone else diminish it.

13.) what is their happiest memory?

It’s very cheesy but the first time that Calla let Vida and Max have a sleepover is one of her fondest memories to date. They built a blanket fort and stayed up almost all night giggling and talking.

14.) what is their most painful memory?

It isn’t painful, per se, but it was tough finding out that Calla wasn’t actually her mother. Vida struggled a lot with feeling like her biological mother didn’t want her, even though that wasn’t even the case. Vida’s mother was only 16 when she was born, and just... didn’t have the means to take care of a child. Calla wasn’t much older, but had a house and a steady job. It was a hard choice, but... it was the best choice in the end. Calla moving out of Night City and up north is a close second.

15.) have they kept any meaningful mementos from their past?

Calla was... absolutely Misty levels of spiritual, so Vida actually has one of her old incense burners in her apartment. Whenever she’s lonely, she lights it and feels like she’s back at home again.

16.) is there anything they would change about their past?

To be totally honest, no. Johnny aside, she’s happy with the way life turned out for her.

Literally! They pick groups of women they believe will 'relate' to them more and run with it. They believe black women and women with pcos/infertile women should relate to them more but no.

I have pcos and I have more in common with a black woman than I do a 'transbian', even if our lived experiences are different our sex connects us in a way that males won't ever understand. I would feel safer in a bathroom/change room full of black and/or infertile woman than I would with one single male.

Even gay men don't understand my experiences on the basis of sexuality as much as as other women do on the basis of sex.

I was taught different ways to avoid rape/kidnapping as a kid, walk in the middle of the street in dark, quiet roads. Yell fire, don't go anywhere alone, how to hide a weapon, always watch your drink, if it's been out of your sight then it's no longer yours. My dad would regularly tell me men were animals with only sex on the mind and that's all they'd ever want me for, essentially not to trust them.

I tried to hide my growing breasts as adults and students alike would comment on them, at 11 I was already a C cup and being asked why I didn't wear a bra, for some reason 'they're uncomfortable' wasn't good enough. Kids I never even really spoke to would talk to me just to ask why I wasn't wearing one. I didn't have friends in one school I went to because people believed I stuffed my shirt

I got my period at 10 at my friends house. I remember her mum setting up a little blackboard and teaching me what a period was, I thought it was exciting in all honesty. I quickly learnt from peers at school that it was something to be ashamed of or embarrassed by.

I had grown men hit on me more at 12 than I do now at 21, I was regualrly cat called but told that it wasn't offensive when it offended me, that it was just a compliment even though I didn't like it, in fact I hated it. I remember at 13 my friend telling a car full of men in their 20's to fuck off, we both kept looking over our shoulder for a while after that.

I had a kid in my year level who I thought was a friend ask me for nudes when I was 12 and I said no, he kept pressuring me and eventually after countless "no's" he gave up. It was humiliating. I felt so ashamed and disgusted by it, when I told my mum she told me that's just what boys do and not to worry about it, even when I said it made me upset she told me it nothing to be upset over. My best friend slammed him against a wall the next day and told him to never ask me something like that again or she'd kick his ass. (The same friend who screamed at the car of men)

I was bullied for not shaving, (only by boys mind you), some of who had more body hair than me. I didn't understand why my body hair was disgusting and made me a "gorilla" while theirs didn't, theirs wasn't even mentioned. I've been likened to a monkey countless times, jokingly a lot by my parents but the fact my brother isn't doesn't go unnoticed. I cannot shave consistently, even if I wanted to, as I often get infections. Instead of respecting my decision to not shave I'm given alternatives like laser hair removal.

I learnt after my first relationship that men, even your friends, didn't respect you like they respected eachother. A friend of mine dated my ex shortly after we broke up and he asked his friend if he was uncomfortable with it considering he had a crush on her. I didn't hear anything about it until they were already dating. I wasn't asked if I was alright with him talking about it until he'd been talking about it for a good 20 minutes. All in all not a horrible story but it showed me that his other friends comfort and feelings were evidently more important that mine due to the "bro code".

I had grown men talk to me online when I was 16, when I was severely depressed. One kept trying to sext me even after I told him it made me uncomfortable. I sent him a (sfw) selfie and he told me he 'loved the schoolgirl look' I was in school, it wasn't simply just 'a look' and he knew that. I had another man in my town get angry when I didn't want to go to his house alone 20 minutes after meeting him, he knew he was my only way home. I still think about what could have happened had I gone there.

I grew up interested in crime shows which means I grew up hearing about women being raped, trafficked and murdered. Even as a kid I understood they were targeted for being women, then I got older and I learnt about what the women before me endured and what the women worldwide continue to endure and I know they were and are targeted for their sex.

Those were my experiences but they're experiences I know many other women relate to, experiences I've been able to talk about with other women. This is how we're raised and taught to accept as normal. Trans women slap on she/her pronouns, some make up and a dress, they put on the chains we're forced to wear and think they understand any of that. It's quite frankly insulting.

Newsies TDM AU

As far as I’ve seen this hasn’t been done yet so here goes.

Warning: this is gonna be long. Also the actual fic will probably show child abuse and blood but this only briefly mentions it.

For those of you that haven’t read it, in the Darkest Minds, most of the kids in the US die from a disease with no symptoms. But those that survive become Psi kids and develop abilities in color categories. Listed in order of how common they are, Greens have super intelligence and photographic memories, Blues have telekinesis, Yellows have electrokinesis, Reds have pyrokinesis, and Oranges have telepathy. The government basically locks them all up and severely abuses them, using White Noise which is painful sound frequencies that only Psi kids can hear, to control them.

Jack is 14 and a late bloomer. He loses his younger brother to IAAN but it turns out he’s one of the lucky ones. Nobody thinks to send him to a camp because nobody thinks he got powers.

In reality, Jack is about the hottest, most powerful Red in the country.

When his parents find out, they don’t send the PSFs after him, but they don’t want him either. They kick him out.

Jack doesn’t mean to get caught but he ends up in a camp that’s under construction. As far as he knows, he’s the only one there, being the only Red. He’s there for 6 months before his escape.

Snyder isn’t hard to evade with his powers and Jack’s pretty much home free when he hears screaming and as much as his instincts are telling him to runrunrun he can’t quite abandon whoever it is, so he turns back, nearly blowing his opportunity for escape.

He winds up with a 12-year-old boy with a bad leg who doesn’t talk much and seems to know more about Jack than he should.

Jack’s seen enough crazy things to not question this. He just gives the kid some space (except when he needs to do what Jack says or get caught again) and lets him talk on his own time.

The boy eventually says that his name is Charlie Morris, he’s been in that camp for a year and a half, he’s an Orange, and he’d been screaming because Snyder found out and was going to kill him.

Jack notices how Charlie kind of flinches whenever he hears his name, like he’s not used to it being said by a friend, so he starts calling him Crutchie, and Crutchie is fine with that so they get along great. They make a pretty good team, sensing a threat before it sees them and fighting if they can’t avoid it.

Eventually, Crutchie opens up to Jack about the camp, what it was like there and how he read Snyder’s mind that they were going to move all the other kids to a bigger one with better security.

Unfortunately, he tells Jack this the day before the move, so they don’t have a lot of time to plan a break out, but they manage and wind up with ~100 kids who have been there anywhere from as long as Crutchie to a shorter time than Jack, most of whom adopt the nickname thing once they find out about it cause no good memories come with their real ones.

Jack’s pretty excited to find his 13-year-old cousin, who now goes by Spot, who he thought he’d never see again after he got taken by the government. Spot is a Red, too, but was smart enough to pass as a Blue with the help of his friends.

But his parents gave him up and Jack looks a little too much like Spot’s dad so Spot takes his group of friends and moves not too far away to send for help, but far enough that they don’t see each other a lot.

A few other kids take small groups and spread out across the woods but a good portion of them stick with Jack or at least drift between the tribes, staying with whoever they feel like each night.

The tribes name themselves after neighborhoods in New York because they’re all city kids so why not?

Jack’s ‘Manhattan’ tribe ends up like this:

Yellows: Race (13), Sniper (9), Kid Blink (10), Finch (13), Jojo (13)

Blues: Albert (14), Romeo (13), Smalls (9), Elmer (12), Buttons (11), Mike (11), Ike (11)

Greens: Specs (14), Mush (10), Henry (12), Tommy Boy (12)

Basically for a couple years they’re surviving however they can but their dynamic is exactly the same as canon.

Jack, at the ripe old age of 16, has to give The Talk™️ to a bunch of 12-year-olds who are asking questions about the *cough* horny *cough* older boys’ jokes.

And he’s also So Stressed because at first he was worried about boys and girls of around the same age living together with no adult supervision but now he has to tell Race to stop sneaking out to Brooklyn and Blink we’ve got other seats besides Mush’s lap and nO Sniper you and Smalls can’t date you’re 11.

It’s not that he doesn’t support them but if anybody breaks up that could create drama that he doesn’t want to deal with.

But fast forward another year and they’re doing fine. They run hits on small camps to free new kids whenever they can and take in whoever comes their way. (Enter oc Newsies.)

All the tribes stay in contact and know each other are safe pretty much all the time and they’re strong alone but on the rare occasion all the tribes unite, they’re so strong with so many boys (and a few girls) that the government knows they’re there and at this point can’t do anything about them.

*record scratch, freeze frame* Enter the Jacobs siblings.

Davey (16) is an Orange, Sarah (16) is a Blue, and Les (10) is a Yellow. Their parents managed to keep them safely hidden until Davey got spotted.

So they had to run, and it isn’t too long before they bump into the Psi Tribes of New York, the Manhattan tribe.

At first, both Davey and Sarah want nothing to do with it, but Les points out that they might be safer with them because government knows about the tribes and hasn’t killed them yet.

Davey is extremely uncomfortable trying to read anyone, but he does when Sarah asks him too, just enough to feel that Jack is genuine in wanting to help them.

The Jacobs siblings are amazed to see this fairly large community of Psi kids living together, practicing their abilities openly and experimenting, testing the limits of what they can and can’t do. Les and Sarah love it. Davey is less certain.

Davey thinks that his abilities make him dangerous. He’s afraid that based on stories of others like him, he might go dark and hurt someone. It doesn’t help that it’s technically his fault they had to go on the run.

Jack helps him see that his powers are a part of him, darkness and all, and helps him get more confident in himself—“Hey, I got an Orange who’s practically my brother and he ain’t so bad.”

Davey won’t admit it but he likes it there. He likes it with Jack even if he thinks he his siblings will move on eventually.

They manage to stay there in relative safety for about a week before disaster finds them.

Disaster being Katherine, an 18-year-old late bloomer Green running from the government, who seem to want her more than any other Psi for some reason.

She’s with her friends Bill and Darcy, both her age and also Greens but the government doesn’t want them as much.

Jack isn’t going to turn them away just because of danger so he takes them in, but the government basically fences off the forest borders they can’t patrol and traps the tribes inside and the tribes Do Not like that very much.

But the soldiers are too scared to go in and really deal with them and yes they’ve got White Noise machines but there’s just so many kids of varying colors in there many of whom have been dealing with it for years so it wouldn’t really be effective.

So the soldiers just keep the perimeter up and hope if they wait long enough they can smoke them out.

That... does not work. The tribes know how to hunt and survive on whatever’s growing around in the woods already and they may have a smaller territory now but they make do. They may not like being trapped but they can deal with that, too.

So after a while the soldiers get impatient and send a message.

Surrender Katherine by sundown tomorrow or we come in and take her.

As concerned as they are for their own survival, none of the tribes are just going to hand Kath over. However being threatened like that makes them think of their own experiences in camps and they start getting angry.

Katherine has never been in a camp but she tells Jack that she saw the schematics for the biggest one in New York and there’s serious weakness there. As in, they could storm it with even their group of only a bit over a hundred kids.

Davey doesn’t think it’s a good idea but once he sees that Jack is doing it with or without him of course he agrees.

The entire Manhattan Tribe wants to try.

But other tribes, including Brooklyn, aren’t sure they want to make the first move. They know war is inevitable, but don’t know if they want start it.

The Blues dig tunnels out of the forest so they can get out and head for the camp.

Unfortunately the guy who runs the camp, Pullitzer, is expecting them since he knows Katherine saw the schematics.

Basically they go in and get beaten. Crutchie may be one of the most powerful but he doesn’t make it back.

Back in the forest, Jack blames himself.

As much as he likes Katherine, he starts thinking about handing her over to save the rest of his tribe.

Davey convinces Jack not to give her up and figures that since they already got their asses kicked the last thing Pullitzer is going to expect is them attacking the camp again.

Only this time Spot and the other tribes are willing to come with.

Jack still isn’t convinced and they have a conversation that goes something like:

“I can’t put the others in danger like that.”

“They’re in danger just by having their abilities. Look, I know you’re scared but—“

“You don’t know what it feels like! You’ve been here what—two weeks?”

“Actually, I do know what it feels like. You keep forgetting I feel everything you do.”

Jack eventually agrees right as Katherine comes to them with another confession.

She’s Pullitzer’s daughter. That’s the real reason he wants her caught so bad.

They use it to their advantage, having Bill and Darcy march her up to the soldiers only to go psych! Spot and Brooklyn tribe are waiting with an ambush to keep them busy while Jack takes Manhattan and everybody else to take down the camp.

They eventually succeed, getting Crutchie back in the process and saving enough Psi kids that they can definitely hold what’s left of the camp, the woods, and the surrounding areas by themselves.

So they just stick in that area living in their new large territory and the government can’t do much about them.

It will be another 3 years before all that stuff with Ruby and her friends happens.

But basically the Newsies have powers and are fine and also javey, newsbians, sprace, blush, and smallsper happen at some point in there.

I’m gonna write an actual AU about this but I thought I’d give y’all an idea of what to expect and I honestly don’t give a damn if nobody reads it.

Edit: if anyone has a Newsies oc they would be okay with me inserting please send me their name/backstory/personality cause I will make sure to at least mention as many as I can.

1. have you ever gotten soap in your mouth for cursing? do you think that’s right to do to kids who curse?: Nope. I didn’t say any curse words as a kid for one, but also I’m pretty sure my parents wouldn’t have done that if I did. They would have just talked to me about it and tell me not to say them. I personally don’t like the soap punishment, I think it’s dumb. I’ve heard of some parents who use hot sauce instead, which is just horrible. I understand if you don’t want your kid to curse, but you don’t have to torture them. Just talk with them and explain why it’s not nice to say and that kids shouldn’t speak that way or whatever. Don’t make too big a deal about it. Try not to curse around them either, that’s where they likely hear it and you can be an example for them. If talking doesn’t work then take something away like a toy or some computer time or whatever. I think it’s also important to reward kids when they’re behaving, even just acknowledging it. That can go a long way.

2. what age do you think is appropriate for kids to start watching horror movies with lots of gore?: Well, I personally don’t think kids should watch that at all. I’d say wait until they’re in high school.

3. do you know what the word “polyamorous” means? and did you ever hear that song by breaking benjamin?: Yes I know what it means, no I haven’t heard that particular song by them.

4. how many bug bites do you currently have?: Zero.

5. what’s one word you always have trouble spelling and can’t remember the correct spelling of?: Whenever a question like this comes up, “onomatopoeia” always comes to mind. That’s a word I never use except for these questions haha, but yeah I can never seem to remember the spelling, I have to Google it each time.

6. what’s one band that really sucks live?: I’ve never seen a bad live performance, but I’ve heard things about some bands that I haven’t seen, such as Maroon 5. I’ve heard they’re pretty bad. :X

7. do you go to warped tour? why or why not?: I’ve never been.

We’d only need a house big enough for 4 adults and a doggo to live in.

35. if you came across child porn on your computer, what would you do?: Omg, that would mean I was hacked somehow. I’d be disgusted and horrified and try to get rid of it as quickly as possible. 44. did you ever notice how it’s more tragic if a younger person dies than an older person, even if they both died of the same cause?: Loss of my grandparents was heartbreaking for me, I had a really hard time with their loss. Them being older didn’t make it any easier. I think why people find it even more devastating when a child dies is because they were so young and hadn’t even had a chance, yet, like their life had just begun. There was so much still to experience. They should have had a lot more time. Even a young adult because it’s like their life is also kind of just beginning in a way, perhaps they just started or finished college, were about to start a new job, or were about to get married and start a family. They, too, have so much still to experience and should have had more time. But still, losing someone who is older is still just as sad. I think some people just can sometimes find a little comfort in the fact that they had lived a long life and got to experience a lot.

45. when’s the last time you snuck around, and where did you go?: I don’t have to sneak around. Never have.

46. how often do you wash your hair?: Every couple days.

47. do you think the price for a movie ticket is too high these days?: Well, these days movie theaters aren’t even open. However, I don’t think it’s the movie ticket price that’s too high, it’s getting stuff at the concession stand that racks it up. The food and drinks are ridiculously overpriced. I just have to get some popcorn, though. I miss movie theater popcorn with salt and lots of butter. 48. have you ever been to a drive-in movie theater?: Yeah, a few times as a kid. Actually, the last time I went was to see the Willy Wonka movie with Johnny Depp when it came out. I wish they still had drive in theaters where I live. I think they should make a big comeback, I mean that’s perfect for social distancing. We can stay in our own cars, closed off from others, but still enjoy movies on the big screen.

Shiloh got a tattoo blacked out on her neck, but that would have been $50, but she raised $3,000 then abandoned you guys. Real smart investment on you guys’ part. [Shiloh cheating story, pathological liar.] - Sarah got tens of thousands of dollars from you guys. He has no idea where that went. - He doesn’t blame you guys because he fell for their lies too. When you have someone who pretends to be a victim and they start a gofundme and you never see where the money goes you have to blame yourself for falling for it. He doesn’t know if there was a gofundme for Billie. There was a Venmo for Sarah from what he was told. - Another person making bank is Regina. Regina is using this drama to get plastic surgery. The motive is obviously money and clout. - Regina was just Kai’s friend when he was 17 or 18. Kai had to stop talking to Regina because they had a huge drug problem. Apparently there is a huge drug epidemic going on but Greg stays in his house a lot so he doesn’t see this. He guesses a lot of people watching are drug addicts and that’s why they are going to dislike the video. People who do drugs are the shittiest. It’s pathetic. He’s not down with the high life or alcoholism. He’s straight edge. - Sarah accused them of getting her drunk. He says that obviously didn’t happen. He questions if she even accused them, says he doesn’t really know what’s going on. If Sarah said something, they got little fireballs for Christmas and she asked if she could have one. Greg told her she’s an adult and he can’t stop her. He thinks she took one. That was in December so they were just friends. - You guys are so gullible. He doesn’t know why people gave a commentator money who profits off using Greg’s name. He can’t get views when he makes videos on other thinks. You gave him $20,000 on top of everything else he’s earning? You morons. He can’t believe you guys are so retarded. - Every time he goes on twitter he’s called a pedo. Where’s the kids?
