Another character made almost spur in the moment again (like Mari) though thankfully not another bUG, but just some average human smhh. He’s a really simple guy, a loser, is as interesting as normal milk— he’s just the ye ol milkman who delivers you that gud shid smhh— enjoyer of the finer things in life (lunchables). A lil flirty and charming (in possibly the cringiest way possible) however he doesn’t really seem to pick up anyone besides the local cows that constantly harass him (and eats his pants). He enjoys watching them though, from v e r y m u c h afar——

Also Betsy- a very sweet woman! She always greets everyone and has the friendliest extroverted personality ever! Always the type to bring (albeit tiny) gifts for her favorite neighbors and always leads when talking to anyone. Not like she would allow Zach to say anything anyway, she hates his polyester guts (and only him smhh)

I just saw a trailer for Velma and I gotta say, capitalism is truly the end of innovation. The ONLY reason that show has the Scooby gang is because they're recognizable. Every character is completely different than their original. If they made the exact same show without changing anything except the characters it wouldn't change a single thing about it. The connection to Scooby Doo starts and ends with the characters and even then they changed everything about them but their name and basic designs. They're using popular characters to gain viewers while shitting all over the characters themselves. one of the main draws of greek tragedies is that there aren't bright lines of "good" and "evil", it's about human people with flaws that exacerbate the situations they're in and lead to devastating consequences. oedipus's hotheadedness, medea's mild sociopathy, polynices and eteocles's lust for power, achilles and clytemnestra's rage, the tyranny and indifference of the gods themselves. that is what makes the greek tragedy so incredibly compelling even thousands of years after they were written, and why some of the great tragedies from later eras (shakespeare's tragedies, american canon tragedies like death of a salesman or the crucible) are still so inspired by that fundamental "the characters are flawed and those flaws are their downfalls regardless of inherent good or evil within them" type of storytelling.

You know what the worst feeling I've been having lately is? Wanting more than anything to get back into Actual Art again but finding a sudden anxiety that stops me. Even if I'm still as capable as I was, it's the mental block. It's why I've all but kept commissions closed for this whole time: this overwhelming fear of letting people down. Especially in times as troubled as these, where money is tight, and patience is thin. I've always been blessed with such patient and considerate commissioners, but I would hate to test people because of my malfunctioning brat of a brain.

I just wish it came to me as easily as it did before the massive burnout/medication. But it's up to me to come up with my own motivation. And it's ME.

Anyway. Thanks as always for sticking around despite... all of this. I'll get back on the horse soon.

Alright, can someone tell me if I’m being stupid, cause I don’t know if I’m missing a point or something. So, we all know that Ghost wears a mask when he’s on deployment, but I also see a lot of people putting him in civilian settings (off base without other soldiers around / with his partner etc.) with the mask on, too.

I’m not sure if I’m genuinely just being stupid here (lmao 😭) but doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the mask? His enemies don’t know what he looks like because of the mask. Not many people wear skull balaclavas when they’re just going about their business, so it would make him stand out more.

For example, if he was going shopping with his partner, and for some reason his enemy was there, they might assume it’s him because of the balaclava, thus putting his partner in danger as a result. They’d just go ‘Oh look, it might or might not be Ghost, and who’s that with him? Hmmm they might be important, let’s kidnap them and use their existence against him! :D’

Like, if I worked with him and then when I went on leave I saw this big ass man with a skull balaclava I’d go ‘oh, look, it’s Ghost in the wild’. Like you’d just know it’s him - the mask would lose its purpose and put his family in danger instead of protecting them like it was originally designed to do.

But if I worked with him, and saw him barefaced in town, I’d have no idea it’s him because the balaclava would be gone. I wouldn’t spare him a second glance because I’d just assume it’s some random man going about his business. I’d have no idea it’s him because there’s no mask.

Not to mention the balaclava would make him look sus af in public 😭 I live in England myself and have seen security in shops tell people (mainly teenagers, if you live here you know who I mean) to take off their masks. If he refused, he’d be in deep shit for refusing to cooperate. Even if he showed his ID, it wouldn’t help cause they can’t see his face.

Anywho, idk I’m just rambling atp but I feel like him wearing the mask outside of deployment doesn’t really make sense? 😭 I might just be missing a point or something idk

Edit: Speaking of Covid masks, I feel like he’d like the times when we all wore them because atp masks most likely bring him a sense of comfort.

Edit 2: someone mentioned scars and that is a very good point! And I agree, they would most definitely catch people’s attention so he would probably want them covered, but I don’t think he’d do it with the balaclava. A few people mentioned hoodies, and I agree w that too, he would probably use the hood to his advantage.

ok so i've been watching lots of mukbang compilations recently and this has been haunting me for months: yuuri and viktor trying to cook and eat spicy noodles as guests on a popular media channel.

but like, they aren't even trying to be quiet, especially viktor. they talk a lot, there's a bit of casual chaos going on, they are laughing and getting interviewed while they are cooking the noodles. they're just about to eat when yuuri realises something is wrong. the noodles are as white as his husband's buttcheeks.

he pauses, trying to process what just happened because those noodles look nasty and turns to his husband. viktor is looking at the camera like a kid got caught while stealing cookies.

only then viktor takes out packages of spicy sauce from god knows where he's been hiding them.

yuuri pours the spicy sauce in his noodles while still laughing about viktor's antics, viktor screams when his husband moves to pour some sauce in his noodles. in the end, they sit and eat their noodles.
