I love the emo revival so much I can't wait until kids will be finding pictures of their grandparents and it's one-eye-covered by comboverbang, skunkstripe heatdamaged teased hair with the knocked knees pose with the thick smudgy black liners and the 2-shades-too-light make up with the peace sign anime eyes high camera angle and the 20 different layers of clothes.

Not to say our grandparents were boring but they just didn't have the advancements in online alt culture diversification with teen-oriented mall shops to create art with

That was the peak of high fashion. My only regret in life is that my grandkids won't be able to see me in my emo phase bc I didn't have one 😔

I cut almost all the heat damage when I did a big chop a year a ago, but not in my front area. After a year, I still having some damaged ends.I do trim my hair often but I keep struggling with it 😩. Backyard Fire

Heat damage from fire

Severe heat damage We had a fire in our back yard a couple weeks ago. It was a pretty scary night. Our back yard plus three of our neighbors were damaged by the fire. We lost 2 sheds, a pool, and a 4x4 truck. Plus all of our tools and belongings that were in the sheds. One of our neighbors lost their whole shed as well. And two other neighbors had some damage to their sheds but they are able to have theirs fixed. Four fence lines were also damaged or completely burned to the ground. It was a very sad scary night for all of us. The neighbors included. Fire is powerful and destructive. The smell and burnt debris that is left behind is awful.

Heat damaged String of Hearts My string of hearts and both of my big beautiful Wandering Jew plants also have severe heat damage. All of my huge sunflower plants died in the fire. A few days before the fire I started to harvest a few of them so thankfully I will have seeds for next years crop. I have been slowly trimming all the damaged leaves off of my plants.

Heat damage We have put up new fence lines and have removed over 12 tons of burnt derbies from the backyard. There is a blank canvas back there now. And I am excited to create something new from the ashes. I am also very grateful that my family, animals and our house survived that massive fire on Sept 7, 2018

This is month one of my heat training journey. I have been testing out our new Hydratherma Naturals silkening products that we will be dropping later this year. I've also been using heat weekly on my hair and I have already noticed that my hair is even softer, my 4a/b mixed with 4c curls are looser and single strand knots are non-existent. Before some of you guys start clutching your pearls, don't be alarmed.🤣🤣 Heat used responsibly can be really good for the hair because it loosens the bonds and makes the hair more manageable. My hair is also becoming less responsive to the humidity and taking longer to revert. I will be making a detailed youtube video about my journey soon. My heart breaks for my family and everyone in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷💔 Many news outlets have had little, if any coverage of the devastation that has rocked much of the island of PR due to almost 1,000 earthquakes (large & small) that have occurred since December. Over 20,000 Puerto Ricans have been displaced because they either loss their homes, or are too afraid of their homes collapsing on them. My cousins who live in Guanica (one of the most effected areas) slept outside in tents with their children for almost a week, ultimately leading them to flee the island. I still have much family residing there, being shaken by earthquakes with magnitudes up to 6.4. Still recovering from Hurricane Maria, oftentimes much of the island goes without water and electricity. My post is not for your sympathy, but to bring awareness to what is happening to our fellow American citizens. Please take the time to research what is happening around the world, and if you can, find out ways you can help. I found and donated to an awesome organization called World Central Kitchen that provides meals for displaced families during disasters and who are currently in PR.
