I have been diagnosed with Greek mythology brain rot by Epic The Musical.
Here's Poseidon.
Designed very inspired by @wolfythewitch and @gigizetz take on him- they do the anamatics. you know the ones.

I’m listening to Epic: The Musical for the MILLIONTH time and got really excited about the use of names in the show - one thing in particular.
Most of the characters are introduced with their name announced immediately before or after their very first line (with more or less intensity, ranging from a single call of it to POSEIDON POSEIDON POSEIDON POSEIDON--)
And then you get to Penelope’s song (WHAT A SONG WHAT A WOMAN) - and she’s not announced by anyone, nor is she interrupted as she sings to be named (until a bit later). BUT!! it’s not that it doesn’t matter who she is: her theme gives her away, it plays before she begins to sing, and at that point, the audience knows VERY WELL who those notes stand for, who this woman must be. She is virtually the only character in the entire Odyssey deemed not to need a verbal introduction. I love that. I love it so much.
So, I assume that it’s because this is Odysseus’s story, and she’s the centre of his universe, and so it shows her importance (Telemachus isn’t introduced either, for likely similar reasons, but also he is the only kid in the musical so. fairly obvious - and another character never expressly named is Zeus himself, because again, not really needed). But then I wondered - how is Odysseus himself introduced?
THAT’S RIGHT: in the very first song, when it kicks off, the audience does not know who is singing. I personally assumed it would be Agamemnon, actually, King of the Greeks; when he was named in the song, I thought, odd, but perhaps then this is Menelaus, his brother, the reason everyone is here in the first place? Nope. Named as well. Ah. Neo’s here and told to avenge his father, so Achilles is already gone. Then who?
And there he says it, for the first time: Penelope. That’s the giveaway! THAT is what tells the audience who this man is - his relationship to his wife. The protagonist of this story is Penelope’s husband, Odysseus. Not the King of Ithaca; not son of Laertes (as would be the traditional way). It’s just such a great way to introduce him (and a good reversal of defining women based on their connections to powerful men...)
Anyway I got REALLY excited about this lol my inbox is open if anyone wants to talk about it and curb my posting, which atm is my only outlet :)))

if i had to stop at only one headcanon about casey jr and future raph ever its that middle ground where casey did know him just when he was younger so the vibe is
someone asks about future raph at some point and with ALL the same reverence of talking about greatest ninjas greatest inventors mystic masters amazing commanders and their big heroic battles etc etc casey is just like “he called me little snapper bc when i first met him i was like 3 and i tried to bite him. when i was 7 he looped a rope around his arm and stood there with it held out for hours so i could play on a swing. he was my best friend.”

thinking abt how gale and wyll are both hopeless/devoted romantics, but with a very different flavor to them
wyll believes in the grand tales of romance, writing your story together and witnessing your very own epic tale, the true power of love, wanting to court you in the traditional way, being your knight in shining armor, making sure you never want for anything — the beauty of an ending through your own making, your happily-ever-after.
while gale is more spiritual in his approach to romance. he believes in the bond between souls, true connection and devotion that defies even physical factors, something otherwordly and magical that solely exists between the two of you, a merging of body and mind, getting lost in one another and choosing you each day anew. — he doesn't believe in fate, but he does believe in serendipity.
what they do have in common, however, is wanting to dedicate themselves to their partner with their whole heart. i just think they're both really neat and deserve to be appreciated more by the fandom as a whole!!

Circe saga thoughts?
HMMM
Ranking wise based on favorites I think it would be
1. Wouldn't you like
2. There are other ways
3. Done for
4. Puppeteer
Wouldn't you like and there are other ways are tied for me but WYL is a clearer visual animatic wise haha and I love hermes. Big fan of the line "I can't get you home but I'll get you to the underworld instead"
Big sad though that time isn't as emphasized in the musical. But it wouldn't really fit haha.
Was very surprised that Jorge went down the route of Odysseus flat out saying no but I respect it lmao, the controversy from that storyline alone would be insufferable. It does make me a little bit nervous about how Calypso will be handled (I do Not like the current snippets of her songs)
Puppeteer's flow throws me off a little bit and I'm not a fan but it's funky. I'm personally not a big fan of the rap parts of epic in general (it kind of depends ig. Monster was neat but here it isn't as seamless)
Big fan of Hermes did that I mention that. Especially the end of WYL, I like the vocalization it tickles my brain
Done For is pretty neat, and I like it! They changed the way Circe said "Hermes gave it to you didn't he" and I am sad about that. But still. Can never go wrong with a song about threatening to murder each other. I have an almost complete animatic of that so I could probably just add some stuff to the start and end and have a done for animatic ready lmaoo

venting on main is a healthy alternative to therapy /s /j
feat. a lighthearted joke that will likely be triggering to people with religious paranoia, so please don’t read this if you get that
Moving from one bug-infested house into a temporary house that is seemingly also bug-infested as someone who has developed a fear of bugs for this exact reason feels like a very personally-motivated act of god
