Learning to fall in love with my 12-14 year old self again bc he couldn’t love himself and I hated him for too long. Loving every second of it.

missa, after his self resentment and lamenting about how he doesn’t feel worthy or like he should be accepted, after telling himself and the capybaras that he doesn’t have a home, not really - after all is said and done, he returns to phil & missa, leaving his mini mi in the house on the wall. as if he’d consider anywhere other than the house he shared with phil safe enough. seeking out safety and home brought him right back where he started.
something about how despite his internal conflicts and issues about what he thinks he deserves, he’ll still come back. and for all he worries that he is not enough to be loved in return, his name is still on the warp stone.

Realized I forgot to introduce Eileen again LMAO
My sea shanty interest was reignited and I was like “:O Boston is a coastal town I can make a sailor oc!!” And promptly remembered Far Harbour exists and so now she is there :)
She left the mainland after nearly destroying the entire commonwealth for her kiddo Eliza. Blew up the Prydwen, Railroad, nearly collapsed the Minutemen, and eventually destroyed the Institute when they created a synth version of her husband and she realized just how much they were manipulating her. She left Eliza with Nick and fucked off North, a good fifty miles past the Nakano residence, where she fixes up an old boat and fishes the days away in solitude. Nick eventually finds her a year or two later and needs her boat to head to far harbour to find Kasumi Nakano, and they get stranded there together cuz a sea monster basically ate her boat :)
Anyway she’s also from Newfoundland and Labrador, got military training from soldiers she helped guide through the Northwest Passage, and commonly goes by “The Lobstermonger” in Far Harbour due to her hiding her identity out of shame for all she’s done. I <3 her I’m sorry

Best thing about being a Scooby Doo fan: you can meet some of the nicest people with some really cool ideas and hcs, there's such an abiding love for the franchise, which on its own is just AMAZING, such a wealth of content to dive into, and I haven't even gotten into the fan REDESIGNS and aus and-
Worst thing about being a Scooby Doo fan: people irl in public will come up to you with some of the worst Scooby takes ever (Scrappy found dead in Miami, SDMI revolutionized animation, etc.) and you have to restrain yourself from getting into a fistfight with some rando acquaintance/friend-of-a-friend in public ALL THE TIME 💀

Love your post about Krist's scandals! wondering where are you from. it's ok if you need privacy.
Aw, thank you! I really appreciate that. I’m from the U.S. originally, but I’ve been living abroad for a long time.
Aaand little soapbox moment:
The hate against Krist is so disproportionate to the sum total of every single misstep he’s ever done. It really emphasizes to me that interfans are just abusing him for fun.
Some of them celebrated his car crash.
That’s when I decided to make my thread, because I’ve been a fan of Krist since 2020 when the hate really ramped up, and I’ve never seen him be anything but kind to everyone around him and committed to improving himself every day. That’s the kind of person you want to see succeed, and he has. He’s loved and respected by the people who work with him, he has a loyal fanbase, and he’s been regularly working since he made his series debut with SOTUS.
In the end, interfans might have hurt him and traumatized him, but he survived it through therapy and the love he’s earned from everyone around him. And I’m proud of him for being relentlessly kind in the face of such tremendous and malicious cruelty.

my mum: stopped me at every opportunity I asked to come see my dying grandpa bc ‘you don’t want to see him like this’ even tho I already had seen him and he had been happy to see me after years estranged from that side of the family and I very much wanted to fit as much time with him in as possible before it was too late and in the end she blocked me from all of it
also my mum: you never came to see your grandpa, you don’t give a shit
and now my mum yet again: won’t let me come see my gran who has been losing weight and falling and breaking bones a lot and been in and out of hospital since being on her own. Didn’t let me go talk to gran when we were both at my great aunt’s funeral last year and so I never saw her and she only found out I was there through other people who saw me. Refuses every time I ask to see my gran, including now when I’ve got presents for her
also my fucking mum right now in the same breath as refusing to allow me to come over: you never come to see your gran, you don’t give a shit
make it make fucking sense jfc

Spoilers probably! It’s a little odd but I really don’t understand the timeline of beast since it’s obvious it takes place before the events that happen in the canon since Dazai warns Atsushi and Akutagawa about the book and the organizations that will in the near future come to Yokohama and search for it, and he’s already taken someone in (that someone being Atsushi rather than Akutagawa) so Dazai must still be in the dark arc or something
