PORCI

Pórci (v.)= to put/place ourselves, to ask/pose ourselves

(how is it buildt: verb porre = to put, to place, to set, to suppose, to pose, to plant. [ending removed: por]+ "ci" = pronoun that is used for the 1 plural person "us" [por + ci]. Being used at the infinitive it means it needs to be introduced by another conjugated verb.)

e.g. Dobbiamo porci delle domande/un quesito = We need to ask/pose ourselves some questions/one question.

e.g. Siete proprio dei porci! = You are really a bunch of pigs!

Svolgere = unroll, develop, occur, conduct

Volere = want, desire, wish, demand, decide

These three verbs are pretty similar in their written form, both at the infinitive and in their conjugations: pay attention when you say and write them.

Let's see the present simple conjugations, for example.

On a side note: vòlgo =/= vólgo

ò aperta (vòlgo): from the verb "volgere",

e.g. Io volgo = I turn towards

ó chiusa (vólgo): noun; from the Latin "vulgar", volgare = of the population.

Translates as "common people", usually with a negative acception (plebs).

e.g. Il volgo ha molti pregiudizi = The population has lot of prejudices.

“Si figuri” imperativo uso formale. Per più di due persone, posso usare “Si figurino”?

Ciao! Certo, è la terza persona plurale della coniugazione verbale di "figurarsi" (da cui ha origine questa forma di cortesia), per cui dire "si figurino" è giustissimo se devi rivolgerti a due persone o più. e.g. "Si figurino, lor signori". In questo caso è forse troppo formale (soprattutto perché c'è anche "lor signori" alla fine, che è una forma di grandissimo rispetto), ma viene a volte usata, per esempio, in alberghi e ristoranti di un certo livello.

Attenzione però all'accento, perché "si figùrino" (v.) = my pleasure, you'e welcome, etc; while "un figurìno" (n.) = a sketch, a model, a fine looking (young) man (but woman too, tbh).
