i've had to indulge in christian scripture a lot for the past few months because personal life stuff and i need everyone to know that there's a book in the bible where king solomon goes on and on about how horny he is for his wife and it's SO SENSUAL and i didn't expect it at all (it's really beautifully written if anything but also sex funny. i put verses down below that invoked said feelings because its so wow)
"Your two breasts are like two fawns,
twins of a gazelle,
that graze among the lilies."
- 4:5
"...How much better is your love than wine,
and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!
Your lips drip nectar, my bride;
honey and milk are under your tongue;"
- 4:10-11
"How beautiful are your feet in sandals,
O noble daughter!
Your rounded thighs are like jewels,
the work of a master hand.
Your navel is a rounded bowl
that never lacks mixed wine.
Your belly is a heap of wheat,
encircled with lilies.
Your two breasts are like two fawns,
twins of a gazelle.
Your neck is like an ivory tower.
Your eyes are pools in Heshbon,
by the gate of Bath-rabbim.
Your nose is like a tower of Lebanon,
which looks toward Damascus.
Your head crowns you like Carmel,
and your flowing locks are like purple;
a king is held captive in the tresses."
- 7:1-5
"Your stature is like a palm tree,
and your breasts are like its clusters.
I say I will climb the palm tree
and lay hold of its fruit.
Oh may your breasts be like clusters of the vine,
and the scent of your breath like apples,
and your mouth like the best wine.
She
It goes down smoothly for my beloved,
gliding over lips and teeth.
I am my beloved's,
and his desire is for me."
- 7:7-10
In verse 8 of chapter 5 his wife says "I am sick with love." and that makes me feel really AHHHHHH oh my god?? it's so intimate

I know its from 2012 but I sincerely hope that man who said he would have sex with Bill has gotten the help he desperately needed. He was clearly in the midst of a psychological breakdown of some sort. I hope his friends and family saw this as the warning sign it is.
I can just picture Charlie standing behind the curtains hearing this and saying "oh god" (or maybe 'blimey!" I find it terribly cute whenever he says blimey in an interview)

4 headcannons for Ethel or Cammuravi? i luv them thank u!!!
I'm gonna do Ethel b/c I generally have more to say about her.
Headcanon A: realistic
Ethel would describe herself as a "merely decent" strategist and tactician. And while that is underselling it a little bit, she is overwhelmingly good at putting bodies in the ground, and had to learn to adjust her expectations of what even her most elite strike teams are capable of.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
Ethel is very good at insulting people when she doesn't mean to. Part of it is the flat affect, part of it is that she's very duty-focused, part of it is just being The Elite(tm) so almost every compliment she gives sounds calculating and/or backhanded. Her reputation as an ice queen is mostly undeserved, she's genuinely very sincere, that's just the way she speaks.
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
Ethel was broadly disliked when she was still rank and file, because her performance would bring the average up so much that it made people around her look incompetent in comparison and her struggles to communicate her feelings to the people around her made it seem like she didn't care. A lot of people were looking forward to seeing her crash and burn as a commander when she was initially given Colony 4, including some people at Four.
As a result of always feeling some level of judgement aimed towards her, Ethel gravitated towards Cammuravi. There are other people in her life who would praise her openly and without reservation, but she doesn't know how to trust that praise, knowing it comes from a place of being put on a pedestal as the famed Silvercoat.
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
Colony 4 was brand new when it was activated, built specifically for Ethel. Regardless of that, it had to undergo extensive modifications once she settled into her rivalry with Cammuravi, and has been rebuilt at least half a dozen times because the two of them came so close to slagging each other and then never quite managing it.

Lancer please if you’re still taking requests!
See this one was difficult anon bc I think about him literally nonstop so I have a great many thinks™️ about Lancer ough
Whether this ends up being true or not, Lancer probably grows up believing fully that he is the Prince of Legend, though he doesn’t understand the implications/responsibilities bc he’s like 6. The knight/coup probably happened when he was still little (just growing out of being a toddler) and since the door between the two sections of the dark worlds was sealed, it’s also likely that no one knew of Ralsei’s existence, or couldn’t be certain of his royal status if so since he’s an elusive dude (at the very least Spade didn’t seem to recognize him during the fight).
In that vein, King Spade superimposes that part of the prophecy onto the only “Prince from the Dark” that he knows, and in turn, as he spirals further and further out of control, believes that his son will be the one to aid in the destruction of their world. He makes no secret of this to Lancer, bc kids are malleable, impressionable little fuckers, and hopes that by placing this enormous weight on his shoulders it will manipulate and scare him into complete obedience.
It...didn’t work (in the long run anyways, probably fucked him right up in the short term though). Probably bc Lancer wasn’t really listening (not his fault, he was trying but it’s like explaining calculus to a 9 year old he is just a little guy). Doesn’t help to have the one person in your life that’s supposed to love you no matter what despise you for crimes you not only didn’t commit, but have no possible way to prevent when the inevitable occurs.
It’s just easier not to think about it, that is...until it’s too late. And by choosing his friends, he fulfills his role in a destiny that could have possibly been circumvented had King Spade been a better father. (or not. Who knows)

Im beating the dead horse with the stick i used to poke the hornets nest but theres an argument bouncing around against the censorship of morally objectionable material on fandom spaces like ao3. And it goes "these spaces were created for morally objectionable material in the first place. Where else are we supposed to put it."
And i agree! I think as long as whatever site ppl are using has a robust tagging system any kind of content should be allowed if it's legal to post. I think individual works should be appropriately criticized for bad or insensitive portrayals of morally objectionable content, and that a saturation of said bad portrayals in media can lead to wider romanticization and acceptance of said topics. Most individual creators however have very little control over how a wider audience would receive their work, even if the inclusion of objectionable content would require more scrutiny by both the creators and audience. Fandom spaces like ao3 specifically refuse to limit individuals from distributing their stuff as long as it's legal. All moderators of these spaces should do is offer people who dont want to see that stuff an easy way to opt out. Criticism towards the subject matter should be given on a case by case basis by its audience. If they changed that rule, ppl will just create another space run on this principle.
(In fact, I personally think its better if the "sickos" explore what they want to explore in fandom compared to making actual published works with certain morally objectionable topics. I can block someones omegaverse incest fic. I can't block an ad for a thinly veiled fetish film disguized as a hollywood blockbuster if it's printed on the side of a bus.)
But anyway yes sites like ao3 was made for ppl who wanted to post gross stuff without being harassed for it. yes its stupid that ppl are trying to harass "sickos" off the "sicko" websites instead of using the extensive block features most of these sites have. no i dont think posting morally objectionable content is harmful on its own but yes these topics should be portrayed more carefully and be subject to a lot of scrutiny when present in any artistic content. But like. I hope the ppl making this argument understand that a lot of people arguing for censorship in fandom spaces dont actually. Care. Where the "sickos" post their gross stuff. Bc they dont want ppl to post stuff they dont like period.
This argument assumes there will always be people who want to explore "bad" topics in fandom. So the solution is to let ppl who dont want to see that stuff to back out. But the people who oppose this wants the "sickos" to disappear altogether. They think if they yell about it hard enough and get enough sites to ban stuff ppl will eventually naturally choose to never think about morally objectionable stuff. Or at least never portray it in a way they dont like. This is why ppl who whine about ao3 "allowing 'problematic stuff' rarely talk about the tag blocking feature. Because it's not just that they dont want to see that stuff themselves. They dont want YOU to see it either. Or for the person to post it. Or even think about it.
And it's like. Wow youre complaining about seeing too many "problematic ships?" Babygirl the first thing i DO when i look up a new fandom on ao3 is to block all the lesbian x men, sibling x sibling, and child x adult ships i can think of. And as i scroll every time i see a bad ship i add it to the block list. What were YOU doing at the devil's sacrament?
