“And are you that strong now? You have my blood but you’re younger than me,” Armand pointed out. “You’re not likely to be my equal. Not entirely.”

“Mm, you’re not wrong. But I don’t know that you’ll fight that hard. You want to be taken, even if you won’t admit it outright,” Daniel said. “All I have to do is outlast whatever childish kicking and squirming you do and you’ll give in.”

Daniel was hunched over, just enough that they were eye to eye. He kept looking Armand up and down, like he was sizing him up.
