Bro getting roasted to hell and back XDD I really wanna talk about George being insecure about being grey eyed tho, because it’s important for the pnf (gunz??) plot!

Bad’s flight ends up getting separated for quite some time after they’re raided by another group of dragons. Bad, Skeppy, Boomer, and Ant get separated into one group, Dream, George, and Sapnap into another, and Punz and Sam manage to stick together for a while before they’re separated. Sam later meets up with Ponk and the two of them reunite with Bad’s group, while the dream team eventually come across Punz before finding everyone else.

By the time everyone’s back together George, Sam, Punz, and Ant are all within the age where they should receive their god claim (late teens/early 20s) and get their elemental magic and colours. This is often seen as a sign of coming of age and adulthood, but with the world still being messed up and the gods unable to see it, most dragons don’t get a claim.

Punz and Sam do tho, and with them being bonded young adults they quickly grow an attraction towards each other and start testing the waters of being each other’s first talonmates.

This has George feeling all kinds of ways because he wants to be Punz’s talon! George and Punz have always been close in this au, they originate from the same flight and were each other’s first bonded, they’re best friends! George just kind of always assumed they would be each other’s first talons, but here’s Sam flirting with Punz and Punz is clearly going along with it, eating up all the attention Sam is giving him.

George quickly grows convinced that Punz isn’t attracted to him because he’s still grey eyed, that the reason he’s attracted to Sam is because Sam has a god claim already. He decided that Punz must still see him as a little kid due to his eyes and still not having any magic, and he doesn’t know what to do or say to convince him otherwise.

This all eventually leads to George venting out his frustrations and concerns to Dream, who tries to encourage him and cheer him up. Coincidentally this leads to Dream and George becoming talonmates, and then Punz’s the one confused.

Because in reality Punz is actually very interested in having George as one of his talons, but George has shown no attraction towards him. Sam is easy because he doesn't hold back his wants and desires in the slightest, he’s very blunt with his attraction towards Punz both verbally and physically, his book and parchment like scent getting a hint of sweet herbal tea whenever he’s around him.

George has made no moves to show his romantic attraction towards Punz at all, and with his scent blindness also affecting the output of his own scent there’s no way for Punz to clearly smell his emotions unless George tells him what they are. Punz just kind of assumed George wasn’t ready to have a talonmate yet, or that he didn’t want a talonmate at all, so he didn’t push his boundaries. When George get together with Dream Punz assumes he was never interested in him like that and accepts it, but not without sulking about it.

Still, the two just kind of keep pining for each other, Dream being very aware that George is attracted to Punz and Sam starting to suspect the same with Punz sulking and the looks George will give them when Sam’s around the guardian.

It takes some pushing, but eventually Dream convinces George to be more open with his affections and Sam encourages Punz to spend more time with George. It still take quite a while longer but eventually they both finally get the hint and understand they’re both interested in one another, officially becoming talons <3
