Sky (Skyward Sword) is 20 and uses he/him. He's short and stocky, built of healthy fat and muscle. He has light skin, blue eyes, and slightly curly, light brown hair that frames his face and goes to his shoulders. He has a green tunic and gold chainmail, as well as pants, boots and fingerless gloves. His sailcloth is pinned over his right shoulder and his loftwing's feathers are tucked behind his left ear. He has no visible weapons. He has an easy going smile on his face despite being tired.

Four (Four Swords Adventures) is 18 and pronouns match fronter(s). Four is on the thinner and shorter side. Four has light skin, grey eyes, and a short blonde bob pulled back with a dark grey headband. Four wears a white-and-grey four-panel tunic embroidered in gold with the elements and the hilt of the Four Sword. Said blade rests on Four's hip. Four wears a dark grey longsleeve shirt and pants with boots. Four gestures with a hand, looking a bit scandalized and annoyed.

Shadow (Four Swords Adventures) is about 18 and uses he/it. He’s skinny and a bit short. It has light, purplish skin, red eyes, and scruffy purple hair tied in a low ponytail. It has a scar on its left cheek resembling a shattered mirror. He wears a black hood over his black, four-panel tunic, pants and boots, the hood tip flickering with dark magic. It floats with a hand on his hip, the other alight with a dark flame. He smirks, showing off a fang.

Sailor (Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass) is 17 and uses he/it. He’s lean and short. It has light brown skin, brown eyes, and very short curly, light blonde hair tucked into a green bandana. He wears a cyan tunic with the crayfish of his casual wear, a green sash, russet pants and sandals. The Phantom Sword hangs on its hip and it wears various gold jewelry, including a joy pendant. He brandishes the Wind Waker with a confident grin.

Tracks (Spirit Tracks) is 14 and uses she/they. She's a little chubby and of average height. She has brown skin, dark brown eyes, and a short golden bob that frames her cheeks. They wear an engineer’s uniform, stained with soot and oil, a red bandana tied around her neck, and gloves and boots. Her right sleeve is tied just under the shoulder due to her amputated limb. The Lokomo Sword is on their right hip and a chain of keys hangs from their belt. She adjusts her hat with an easygoing grin.

Fairy (Legend of Zelda 1986 and Adventure of Link) is 18 and uses he/fae and mirror pronouns. He’s skinny and a bit lean. Fae has brown skin with freckles, dark brown eyes and chin-length dark brown curls. Faer bangs are clipped out of faer face with barrettes. He wears a short, dark green poncho with 3 rounded points, the back two mimicking fairy wings. Underneath, he wears a green tunic, an orangish-brown longsleeve shirt, and brown shorts and gloves. Fae goes barefoot, faer legs exposed with several bandages and scars on them. The Magic Sword and an empty potion bottle hang from his hips.

Glam (A Link Between Worlds and Triforce Heroes) is 22 and uses he/him. He's fat with some muscle. He has light brown skin with vitiligo and stretchmarks, red eyes and short, curly blonde hair with brown roots, going just past his chin. He wears a long, pastel green dress under a brown and pink apron stained with paint. He wears simple boots and Ravio’s bracelet. He holds the skirt of his dress with his right hand and smiles.

Slate (Breath of the Wild) is 20 and defaults to they/them and is also genderfluid. They're quite skinny and lean, favoring speed over strength. They have light skin with lots of visible scarring, cyan eyes, and long, choppy, dirty blonde hair in a braid that reaches their waist. They wear the champion's tunic, a hylian hood, pants boots and fingerless gloves, and the Sheikah Slate on their hip. They rest their hand on their other hip and give a closed-eyed smile.

Vet (A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, and Link’s Awakening) is 24 and uses she/her. She's a bit skinny, taller than most of the others, with plenty of muscle hidden by baggy clothing. She has warm light skin, purple eyes, and a short pink bob with sidelocks that touch her collarbone. She wears a long green dress, pegasus boots, a brown longsleeve undershirt, and a purple scarf. She has a messenger’s bag over her shoulder, the tempered sword on her hip, the pendants of virtue on a necklace, and various gold jewelry. A decorated cane hangs on her back for when she needs help walking. She has a hand on her bag, looking over her shoulder with a flat face.

Rancher (Twilight Princess) is 19 and uses he/him. He's tall and has very strong arms. He has light brown skin, hazel eyes, and reddish-brown hair that's shorter in the back. He wears an altered version of the ranching outfit, with the green sleeve removed, pants traded for a skirt, and sandals traded for sturdy boots. He has no visible weapons. He looks a bit rugged, with several visible scars (thanks to exposing clothing) and sharp teeth, but is fairly welcoming and friendly in demeanor. note about hyrule warriors: due to its status as not canon in the timeline but the appeal of time shenanigans, i've decided it has a tenuous place in the timeline. it's schrodinger's cat—it happened and a lot of the people involved in the war remember it, but it caused a time paradox, it's not written in the history books, and most peoples' memory of it was erased. hyrule warriors link will not be showing up but he may be mentioned at times.

I'm making a soulmate au, and I need help deciding what Warriors' soulmark should be. The fic is from Wind's POV, and mostly covers the times before he meets the rest of the heroes, who are his soulmates (platonically)

All the other Links have something important to them/significant in someway, but all I can think of for Warriors is his shield, which is lame. Here's what I have for everybody else:

Sky: His red loftwing

Four: A kinstone split into four parts- green, blue, red, and purple

Time: A blue ocarina

Twilight: A howling wolf (Wind thinks it's a dog but isn't sure because it's a weird looking dog.)

Legend: Pink rabbit

Scattered across Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, there are broken halves of ancient amulets called Kinstones, each of which has a matching pair, often in the possession of a character within the world itself. Matching these Kinstones will combine them into a completed piece, and they come in the form of both general collectible (Green, Blue, and Red Kinstones) and story advancing items (Gold Kinstones), making them feel like a natural part of the world as a whole while still retaining plot critical importance.

Legend of Zelda Theme Park - Odds and Ends

Here are a few ideas for the theme park that didn't fit into the area-by-area descriptions, either because they apply to the whole park or because it was too much detail for the simple summaries.

Phone App Minigames

I've made a few references to these over the course of the theme park posts, but never gave any specifics. So here are some of those:

Scavenger hunts. How many Zelda games include a "catch 'em all" sidequest? Several, that's how many. The premise of this is quite simple: Some number of a small creature--Koroks, Gold Skulltulas, baby Maiamais, or whatever--are placed around the park, and if you can find and photograph them all, you can get a prize! A combination of signal transmitters and image recognition would ensure the legitimacy of the photos.

Music apps where you look for certain signs and symbols to let you know there's a secret here to be triggered if you play the right song. The effects might be flickering lights, sliding panels in walls or rock faces to reveal a unique sight, etc.

Merch

Throughout the writeups, I've described the unique shops and their unique lines of souvenirs to some extent, but what about simpler, more universal Legend of Zelda goodies that could be sold anywhere in the park? Here are a few fun ideas:

Bag of rupees. How can you be a proper adventurer without your own supply of Hyrule's currency? The way I see it, the bags would come in different sizes at different price points, each containing a fixed number of 1-inch resin rupees, but randomly selected colors--you never know what you're going to get until you open the bag. "Higher-value" rupees are naturally rarer--they can't actually be exchanged for anything, but it mimics the in-game value and rarity.

Fantasy ear headbands. You could get "elf" ears (in a variety of skin tones) and be a Hylian, Gerudo, or Sheikah, "fin" ears to be a Zora, or even big floppy goblinesque Bokoblin ears!

Collectibles from the games. Think Wind Waker's Spoils or Skyward Sword's Treasures--small, distinctive items that must be collected in some numbers to be useful and are not necessary to complete the game.

Food and Snacks

Hard candy rupees. Pretty self-explanatory--just don't get them mixed up with your toy rupees from the blind bag!

Kinstone sugar cookie 2-packs. Two half-cookies frosted with red, blue, or green icing and with part of the Minish clover emblem piped on.

Triforce corn chips. These come in three flavors--Power (chili), Wisdom (blue corn and flax seed), and Courage (avocado). Bags are single-flavor or all three together.

The "Desert Menu." Okay, this is just silly. I thought the dessert menu at the Royal Banquet Hall should have every item named and themed after a desert area from the LoZ franchise. So there would be the Gerudo Dessert (melon sherbet with whipped cream and raspberries), the Lanayru Dessert (crumble cake with buttercream frosting and sanding sugar), the Dessert of Mystery (ultra-dark chocolate mousse cake), and for large parties, the Dessert Colossus (a huge multiflavor ice cream sundae).

“That’s funny,” Four murmured, eyes a vicious acid green that had Warriors’ whole expression shutting down, a hand twitching for his belt. “That’s really funny. I’m glad you’re so comfortable assigning your morality to people, captain, your world must be a very simple one.”

“It’s necessary to make quick calls when anyone around you could want you dead.”

“It’s necessary to not play fucking goddess, too.” Four ran a thumb over his kinstone chain in a slow, deliberate fidget, worrying at the purple shard rather than drawing a blade. It might have cut less. “You’re not the princess, Wars, you’re a man who can make mistakes. I suggest you make better ones.”

The chain with the blind child are in time hyrule but are in the woods were time remembering his old home used to be and allow a break since he see how tired the boys are but see blind quiet follow tho stop to hear noises making their ears twitch to the direction of the tall grass so time lightly pat the child head as in go but stay to hearing range and see blind nod with a smile and go to the tall grass as the boys sit down.

Legend groan as wind sign but suddenly blind came back and their calling the group.

Blind: papa! Big brothers! I have something for you!

Blind ran out the tall grass and stop infront of them with a happy smile on their face while drag in their bag and give each of them a gift from the child.

Warrior- a scroll of a old language and have a map of a unknown land

Twilight- a clear wolf tooth but inside the clear wolf tooth show the twilight relam

Sky- a feather that white with red at the end and blue for the middle but when light hit it shone gold

Wild- a broken piece of a shikiah stale device that older than wind's shikiah stale

Legend- a small bunny smooth stone that color pink

Four- a Kinston that glows four colors red,blue,violet and green

Wind- a sea shell that anyone can hear the ocean and the colors of the sea shell match wind shirt

Hyrule- a small book on fairies and other magical creatures in it like a directory explaining each one even their strengths, weaknesses too.

Blind: I hope you like them! I'll be in the grass playing.

The blind giggles and ran back to the grass playing with something til it jump out the grass to show its a small dragon that playing with blind.

Twilight had stepped up, looking at his little gift before he spots the lizard. He freaks and jumped back, yelling as he falls flat on his butt.

Wild start laughing hysterically as he joins the child. "Did this little guy help you find this stuff?"

The child no longer cares about the gifts. "Is Twilight ok? I heard him fall."

"He's fine." Four doesn't bother to look up from his gift.

"He's only bruised in his ego." Warrior chuckles, walking up to help the ranch hand up from the forest floor.

Twilight look unamused.

The dragon jumps over the child and walks toward Twilight. The Hero jumps his feet and dashes to the far side of the camp, putting as much distance he can from the tiny lizard.

"Rancher, you coward."

"Shut up."

The child looks confused, aiming their ears towards the sound. "...Everything ok?"

"Everything's just fine. Don't worry about it."

Minish cap mystery box arrived from @littleleeeloo !!!

There was also a few more character stickers and some fun-sized skittles, starburst, and sour patch kids candy, but its not letting me add any more images lol. Overall such a great assortment and it definitely made my day!!

Alright u gave me the go ahead so I’m going to ask: for your fic “marks on your body, marks on your soul" how do the platonic soul marks work? Ive seen many iterations of this, from soulmates feeling each others pain or other strong emotions, to scars and other injuries showing up on the skin of the other soulmates (though no pain is felt).

How soulmates work in this AU:

If you have soulmates, you’re born with marks representing them on the forearm of your dominate arm. (Not everyone has soulmates.)

You have no way of knowing what your own mark is until you see it on someone else. Because of this, the marks are pretty unambiguous. They typically represent something very important to the person.

People also get a sensation of “this is right, this is my soulmate” when they meet each other, which typically prompts them to show each other their marks and realize they’re soulmates.

Soulmarks are not a private thing in any of the heroes’ eras. They’re worn openly with pride.

You don’t feel the pain that your soulmates feel, but when they die, their soulmark goes gray and fades a little. (Yeah this has fun implications for Wild’s mark)

Soulmates can romantic or platonic, and there’s no way to differentiate between the two based on the mark, so you have to wait until you meet them.

Large soulmate groups tend to be platonic, but, again, you don’t know until you meet.

Soulmates are not the end all be all. People still get into romantic relationships even if they don’t share soulmarks. Those without soulmarks are not destined to be alone, etc. it’s just sometimes the gods think some people need a little nudge.

So far, the fic is solely from Wind’s POV, and it’ll probably stay that way. Wind was born with a really large soulmate pod. He doesn’t know if their romantic or platonic, but since he’s got the largest soulmate pod (8 soulmarks!) on Outset Island in a long time, everyone assumes they’re platonic.

The heroes’ soulmarks:

Sky: Red Loftwing

Four: Four’s soulmark is actually one mark that can separate into four. It’s four kinstones, but instead of being half a circle each, they’re each a quarter, and they lock together. When Four separates into the colors, the soulmark comes apart, becoming 4 separate marks.

Twilight: Howling wolf headshot in front of the star symbol that’s on his forehead

Wind: Telescope (?)

Legend: Pink Rabbit (?)

Hyrule: Glowing green fairy. There is a very faint yellow triforce in the middle of the glow. You can’t see this unless you are very close up.

Wild: A drawn bow and arrow with a drops of blood.

I don’t know what to do for Time and Warriors

I thought both an ocarina and the Fierce Deity marks were uninspired. (Plus Fierce Deity isn’t really a representation of Time.) And the only think I can think of for Warriors would be a shield, which, agian, seems uninspired.

So quick question

Would you happen to have a fic with good descriptions of what your version of the colours look like?

I don't, as of yet, though one is in the works! It's one of the things I've been really struggling with! So far I have an illustration of Vio done (done by my girlfriend @mydmdcorner ) but we'll probably get to drawing the others soonish! I'm more than happy to give a description though!

They also have slightly different blond(e) hair colours, with Blue's being the palest and Vio's the darkest.

Red (he/him): he's the smallest of the bunch (but really we're talking about differences in millimetres and centimetres here, they're all small)! In A Brief Respite, he's described as the one that looks the most like their grandpa! His eyes are blue, lighter than Blue's. His hair is short but curly/wavy. I'll attach photos and other references under a read-more! He's also got freckles. As for his tunic, it looks very much like the one presented in the Four Swords Manga, though it now has 3/4 sleeves and has a normal hood (to replace the stupid Link hat, I just think it's silly). When he's sleepy or shy, he'll hide in the hoodie. The only reason the tunics are 3/4 sleeve lengths is because he kept burning the ends of the sleeves when they were full. No more long sleeves for Red. He also has some of the same piercing holes as Vio (helix piercings), but instead of having amethyst studs, it's golden hoops/rings.

Blue (she/her): Blue's a tricky case. She got into the Minish magic in an attempt to change her body to fit her gender which had some. Interesting consequences. She's kind of surrounded by a permanent glamour of the weirdest kind, so despite being female, she appears entirely male (short hair etc). She wants to grow her hair out tho (but only to a length that's still practical). She has dark blue eyes. She does not have freckles and her hair has the barest hint of waves. Her tunic is also similar to the manga, but she wears a different, thinner belt higher up on her waist (to make it look like she has wider hips) and her tunic is the longest of them all, brushing the tops of her knees. She currently has no piercings.

Green (he/him): My favourite sleepy boy. He more or less looks exactly like the manga version of Four Swords LInk. He's got green eyes with golden spots in them. He's also ditched the hat, but has the same hood that Four has, with the Ezlo decoration at the end. He's a sleepy boy, so the hood is long enough to fully cover his eyes if he needs to lay down to rest in the middle of the day. The shirt he wears under the tunic has longer sleeves so he can hide his hands. His boots are also more padded so walking is less exhausting/hurts less.

Vio (they/them): Has the longest hair of them all currently. It just brushes their collarbone. The front parts are braided and kept secure with magnetic beads that can be used to clip the hair back. They wear a similar tunic to LU!Four. The bottom part is also flared/split into multiple pieces to ease movement. They wear a thicker belt, but not the same one from the manga. On their hip they wear purple and black kinstone-shaped gems. They've got purple eyes and freckles, although less freckles than Red. They also wear the most piercings in their ears. I might still redesign their tunic some. I really like the tunic design for ASAU!Legend (note: ASAU is rated M/18+), so I might take inspiration from that when I get around to drawing Vio myself.

This is my current profile picture and is of Vio! Here you can see the piercings Vio has, too. The Minish tail/feather isn't one they commonly wear. They left that behind in their Hyrule to keep it safe. Depending on the day, they do the braids a little different. This drawing was also done by my girlfriend.

This hairstyle is roughly what I imagine for Red, maybe a bit shorter (Source: Gentlemen's Magazine).

Sicktember 2022 Day 2

Prompt - Homesick

“Four? Where are you? Four!”

“Over here!”

Sky moved towards the voice, pushing through some low branches and bushes. He struggled with his sailcloth getting caught on the pointed branches, huffing and wheezing as he got snagged again and again. Eventually, he reached a small clearing with Four crouched on the floor with his back turned away.

“There you are!” Sky let out a sigh of relief, brushing off the leaves in his hair as he approached. He leaning over slightly to see what Four was holding in his hand. “What are you doing?”

“Look what I found!” Four’s eyes shining red for a moment as he held it up for Sky to see.

The Skyloftian leaned closer, getting a better look at the green stone in Four’s palm. It was obviously only half of the stone, the round stone cut perfectly down the middle. He took it from Four, turning it back and forth as he marveled over it. He’d never seen such a beautiful stone before, the green almost emerald stone shone brightly in the sun. He rubbed his thumb over the smooth surface, feeling the bumps and indents of the clover carved in the middle. “It’s so pretty...”

“They’re called Kinstones.” Four stood up, brushing himself off. “They’re a sign of good luck in my Hyrule. If you find the other half of it and fuse them together, something good will happen.”

“Oh! Does it match any of the ones on your belt?” Sky held up the stone to the green one on Four’s belt. To his disappointment, it didn’t match at all.

Four grinned. “Don’t worry about it. I have plenty stashed at home. We should be able to find one that matches.”

“You collect these?” Sky asked as he tried to give the stone back to Four. The smaller boy shook his head, pushing the offered stone back.

“Keep it. Like I said, I have plenty at home. The green ones are the most common, so you can find them everywhere. They can be hidden in the grass or sometimes monsters drop them. Now, the blue Kinstones....” Four’s grin widened as he continued to talk about the different Kinstones and their rarities. He chattered on excitedly about where to find them and what might happen when the fuse together. But his smile fell slightly as his words began to trail off. “It’s pretty fun finding them, trading them, and fusing them together with… with everyone...”

“...Four?” Sky, concerned by the sudden change in tone, tucked the stone into his pouch and placed a hand on Four’s shoulder. “You okay?”

“I’m fine. I just didn’t realize how much I missed home until now.” Four crossed his arms with a small huff. “I’ve been away from home longer than this, so I shouldn’t be feeling homesick.”

“We all feel that way sometimes.” Sky smiled sadly. “I know I do all the time. It’s why I talk about my home so often.”

“Doesn’t that make you miss it even more?”

“It does,” Sky admitted, “but at the same time, it makes me happy to share all the great things in my home. Honestly, when I see you guys excited about my stories, it makes me excited to return home. There are so many things want to show all of you! And I can’t wait for you to meet all the people I love! I really can’t wait!”

Four laughed softly. “I know. You say that every time you talk about Skyloft.”

“Well, it’s how I feel! And now that you’ve talked about your home, I can’t wait to see it!” Sky drew Four into a gentle side hug. “I hope we get to visit your home soon.”

The younger hero leaned into the hug, a small smile gracing his lips. “I hope so, too.”

In your 100 percent of minish cap, the video titled, Figures..., you merged kinstones with the stranger in the yellow house. I've tried multiple times to find the kinstone and have had no luck. I tried the bakery but all I got were green ones. Am I doing something wrong?

Red Kinstones are usually found in Chests and hidden throughout the game in caves and such. You might be able to find some behind the odd looking walls you've passed by, but you'll need a future dungeon item to get in. All in all, you can just come back to the Stranger in the future when you've found the Kinstone you were looking for.
