While a part of me really loves the idea of Goro leaving Arasaka and him and V running off for domestic bliss...

I also like the idea of...two souls passing each other by. A fleeting love story, though brief, is no less endearing. Through your short time together you build a strong bond with Goro. And the idea of there always being something there. That there was some underlying tension...

Lingering looks. Using his first name like an old friend. Takemura standing in front of V to protect them from Oda. Goro being shocked and affected when V asks if he's holding up ok. His shock when V comes back for him...

But it never amounts to anything. Perhaps nothing more than one night in a dingy motel. Perhaps not even that. But the love was always present...

Takemura will go back to Arasaka. Perhaps everything will go back to normal. But not Takemura. He will not be the same again after his fleeting experience with one certain Mercenary...
